- 0:00Speaker 1: Google saving crypto. That's the question today. We're going to
- 0:02Speaker 1: break it down.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Do you believe it or not? There's a lot happening.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Let's just jump right into it. I want to start
- 0:09Speaker 2: off actually here with our sponsor. And that, of course,
- 0:12Speaker 2: is Tangim. And one thing that you notice there in
- 0:15Speaker 2: the ad.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Is how to set it up. But guess what?
- 0:17Speaker 2: They've got some other features right here that are actually
- 0:20Speaker 2: available inside the app right now. Those are yields currently
- 0:24Speaker 2: available on certain stablecoins. So you can kind of see
- 0:28Speaker 2: PayPal USD right there, USDC on Avalanche, GHO, USDC on Monad.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Some of these are paying extensive yields in yield mode.
- 0:39Speaker 2: So when you are over there, that's an opportunity you
- 0:41Speaker 2: guys can take advantage of as well.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So check it out. Use our link down in the description.
- 0:45Speaker 2: All right, let's get over to what we're going to
- 0:48Speaker 2: be hitting on today, because there's a couple of points
- 0:50Speaker 2: I want to jump on that.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Is relevant, and that is Google.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Google is now building a crypto security for banks. And
- 0:59Speaker 2: the timing is kind of unique here, and I'll explain
- 1:02Speaker 2: in a second. But what they've unveiled is it's a
- 1:05Speaker 2: new system that lets banks securely store and send Bitcoin
- 1:10Speaker 2: and tokenized assets. This is all fully launched in 2027.
- 1:14Speaker 2: So here you have the biggest company out there, or
- 1:17Speaker 2: one of, that is preparing to handle tokenized assets. And
- 1:21Speaker 2: at the same time, you've got companies out there pushing
- 1:24Speaker 2: back on tokenized assets. Is the timing starting to play
- 1:28Speaker 2: into this? So we'll show you in just a second.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Another big beneficiary of this will be Solana. They, of course,
- 1:35Speaker 2: put this out. Alphabet is securing its own digital assets
- 1:38Speaker 2: on Solana. They've been pretty much the dominant party out there,
- 1:41Speaker 2: especially in the RWAs, but they unveiled their multi-party compute today.
- 1:46Speaker 2: All of this is around institutional custody, and it's in
- 1:49Speaker 2: private preview for certain financial institutions, eventually commercial launch, as
- 1:54Speaker 2: I just said, in 2027.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Big deal.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Virtuals also came in, introducing the Virtuals app now on
- 2:01Speaker 2: Google Android. So now you've got all of these companies
- 2:04Speaker 2: starting to circle around Google at a time in which
- 2:08Speaker 2: everybody's kind of been concerned about quantum, self-custody, all these issues,
- 2:13Speaker 2: and Google comes in with these kinds of proponents, especially
- 2:16Speaker 2: when you look at the institutional layer around what they're
- 2:19Speaker 2: doing here.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So here's the thing that concerns me. Because remember, when.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Google pushed this Q Day warning, this essentially caused havoc
- 2:27Speaker 2: in the crypto industry. We saw impact on Ethereum, essentially
- 2:31Speaker 2: kind of ramped up the Ethereum foundation on being able
- 2:33Speaker 2: to deal with this.
- 2:35Speaker 1: People looking at.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Alternative wallet structures, looking at diversification, kind of doomsday type
- 2:41Speaker 2: of issues. And all of that was done during a
- 2:44Speaker 2: time in which this quantum threat was ramped up by Google.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And then right After that, here we go into Google's
- 2:52Speaker 2: next phase, which is building a new business, apparently, because
- 2:55Speaker 2: they now have crypto custody and security business that's going
- 2:58Speaker 2: to be in play. As I said, this is going
- 3:01Speaker 2: to be for Bitcoin and RWA. It's basically stock. So
- 3:05Speaker 2: why are they doing that? So all of that is happening.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And then you have.
- 3:09Speaker 1: This right here. It's another exploit. This is on Avalanche.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Another data breach tied to Coinbase. buckle up guys. This
- 3:16Speaker 1: is something that we've started to hear.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And remember we're getting worldwide warnings around rations and 30 days,
- 3:23Speaker 2: one week, three days of, uh, you know, materials. These
- 3:27Speaker 2: are the kinds of things that start to concern me
- 3:29Speaker 2: as something else afoot. And you kind of consider where
- 3:32Speaker 2: this is all heading with Coinbase, one of the biggest
- 3:34Speaker 2: holders out there of crypto, them getting trolled right here
- 3:38Speaker 2: by Kraken. And, uh, It really boils down to a
- 3:42Speaker 2: supply chain issue. And again, this was a supply chain
- 3:45Speaker 2: issue for Amplitude, which was an analytics vendor for Coinbase.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And it was not.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Necessarily a hack, it was a data breach.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So your information.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That's another concern I have because those become honeypots down
- 3:57Speaker 2: the road as an AI and also potentially quantum starts
- 4:00Speaker 2: to play into this for future accelerated hacks or social engineering.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That's another problem. Back to the whole issue with Google, though.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And that is when you look at the number of
- 4:10Speaker 2: stocks right now, companies, that are pushing back on tokenization,
- 4:15Speaker 2: we have seven more companies now objecting to have their
- 4:18Speaker 2: shares tokenized on tokenized assets. So one question you have
- 4:23Speaker 2: to ask is when you look at those companies and
- 4:25Speaker 2: you go look at the full 33 U.S. organizations that
- 4:30Speaker 2: are against this, well, most of them, all right, maybe
- 4:33Speaker 2: they're just not ready, but Google's over here building an
- 4:37Speaker 2: entire asset custody business now, and yet they're on the
- 4:42Speaker 2: list with Alphabet.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So why?
- 4:45Speaker 2: That just raises red flags for me. It looks as
- 4:48Speaker 2: though this is either a waiting or a timing period
- 4:51Speaker 2: in which Google would be prepared for it to maybe
- 4:54Speaker 2: custody their own asset in terms of their stock.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So maybe they want control. Maybe that's the question.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And maybe that's what a lot of these companies are
- 5:03Speaker 2: potentially going to be seeking is really more control. around
- 5:07Speaker 2: what their stocks are going to be doing. You have
- 5:11Speaker 2: 24-7 liquidity now available over on Robinhood Chain.
- 5:14Speaker 1: These are the Ondo stocks that are now live. You've
- 5:17Speaker 1: got Meta, Apple, Tesla.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Mostly these companies are very forward-thinking and understand this technology.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And I think that's a question everybody's asking right now
- 5:26Speaker 2: around stocks is, are you going to have stocks and
- 5:29Speaker 2: the CEOs that run those companies being able to understand
- 5:32Speaker 2: what's going on with tokenized assets and they're the ones
- 5:35Speaker 2: benefiting from it, and the companies that don't necessarily understand
- 5:38Speaker 2: it are not betting from it? Or is it all
- 5:41Speaker 2: timing of who controls these assets? That is the bigger question.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And remember this, is that with this in play, I mean,
- 5:50Speaker 2: if you think about Google, maybe it's a position where
- 5:52Speaker 2: they could actually launch a chain, very similar to what
- 5:55Speaker 2: Robinhood has done, and be able to reap the benefits
- 5:58Speaker 2: of trading their own stock within that chain. So you
- 6:00Speaker 2: could have X stocks, Ondo, et cetera, that would play
- 6:03Speaker 2: into this. So Very interesting timing for sure. And I
- 6:06Speaker 2: think it is more about control than anything. Another thing
- 6:10Speaker 2: that is control about, he had this tweet, and I
- 6:13Speaker 2: think it kind of hits on it, is that right
- 6:14Speaker 2: now the markets have been booming. So I think most
- 6:17Speaker 2: companies are out there. They don't really care about expanding
- 6:20Speaker 2: their access. So don't mess with it right now. Everything
- 6:23Speaker 2: is working.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It's a good thing. The other reason is it's a
- 6:26Speaker 1: learning curve.
- 6:27Speaker 2: That goes back to my point of showing you companies
- 6:30Speaker 2: that are very advanced and understand this versus companies that
- 6:33Speaker 2: do not. and need a learning curve to kind of
- 6:36Speaker 2: adopt to this. And I think both could be true
- 6:38Speaker 2: at the same time. It could be just an issue
- 6:40Speaker 2: where we're saying, hey, we've got so much activity, don't
- 6:43Speaker 2: worry about it, or we're just not prepared to be.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Able to step forward.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I think at one point in the near future, this
- 6:50Speaker 2: is going to become a situation where stocks are selected
- 6:54Speaker 2: if they have tokenized securities. And I think especially from
- 6:59Speaker 2: the younger crowd, because they're going to want to trade
- 7:00Speaker 2: this pretty much 24-7, and be able to move it
- 7:02Speaker 2: around to wherever they would like. So that is a
- 7:04Speaker 2: factor going forward. Let's jump over to this post by Coinbase.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Of course, big week for earnings. And notice they have Microsoft, Google,
- 7:13Speaker 2: Amazon in there. And these are what they are actually
- 7:18Speaker 2: earning on. So imagine this. If Google is out there
- 7:21Speaker 2: now becoming a competitor to this, to where they are
- 7:24Speaker 2: now custody. Remember, Coinbase is in the custody business as well.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And the financial institutions... are now pushing out. Maybe we
- 7:32Speaker 2: haven't seen financial institutions adopt because of a trust issue.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So that really kind of brings the point of whether
- 7:40Speaker 2: or not Google, maybe they are that trust issue. They're
- 7:44Speaker 2: the ones that can be trusted with these assets and
- 7:47Speaker 2: could start to see those kinds of adoption scenarios happen
- 7:51Speaker 2: with not only financial institution, but many of these companies
- 7:54Speaker 2: that are actually ready to tokenize their stocks and be
- 7:59Speaker 2: able to go onto Google itself. So I don't know,
- 8:02Speaker 2: this is a very interesting time where you have crypto,
- 8:07Speaker 2: the OGs and everybody that's kind of been around crypto
- 8:10Speaker 2: for a long time, and then these new companies and
- 8:12Speaker 2: companies that have been around in tech for a long time,
- 8:14Speaker 2: they're starting to adopt certain areas of crypto that just
- 8:20Speaker 2: seem obvious. And I think that is the real question
- 8:23Speaker 2: heading into the next really two to three years is
- 8:26Speaker 2: who is gonna dominate crypto?
- 8:28Speaker 1: In the future.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Coinbase also chasing Solana, trying to get a little faster,
- 8:33Speaker 2: even though in this particular case, 200 millisecond blocks. Truly faster,
- 8:38Speaker 2: but definitely not as fast as what we've seen already
- 8:40Speaker 2: with Appenglow. So just another issue where Coinbase continues to,
- 8:45Speaker 2: I think, run from behind here.
- 8:47Speaker 1: As a big one.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And you can kind of see right here the monthly
- 8:49Speaker 2: transfer volume. It's Solana's game right now to lose as
- 8:53Speaker 2: they continue to really dominate. And again, this is because
- 8:56Speaker 2: of their embracing of this technology. I think the meme
- 9:01Speaker 2: coin culture helped foster the technology itself, which advanced it
- 9:06Speaker 2: into institutional and made this all available to be able
- 9:10Speaker 2: to kind of thrive on the Solana blockchain. So let's
- 9:13Speaker 2: go over to Robinhood and some of their earnings that
- 9:15Speaker 2: you guys probably saw the stock take a dump. We
- 9:18Speaker 2: saw a little bit of earnings hit. And some of
- 9:20Speaker 2: this is really built around one thing, and that was
- 9:23Speaker 2: tokenized stocks. That was their saving grace. Without it, Robinhood's
- 9:27Speaker 2: crypto revenue fell 6% from Q2, so the chain supplied
- 9:31Speaker 2: all of its growth in October of 2027. So that's
- 9:35Speaker 2: one factor here. This is going to be something, and
- 9:37Speaker 2: I know predictions markets, many of you probably in the
- 9:39Speaker 2: comments will say, well, prediction markets were up as well.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yes, they were.
- 9:42Speaker 2: But the point I'm getting at is this is the
- 9:44Speaker 2: advancement that many of these companies and fintechs and companies
- 9:48Speaker 2: like Google and others that are starting to embrace this.
- 9:52Speaker 2: The key is trust. Where is that trust factor going
- 9:55Speaker 2: to play? That's why these hacks and these breaches are.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So, so important.
- 10:00Speaker 2: As banks and high net worth individuals, family offices, they're
- 10:05Speaker 2: going to start to deploy and they're going to deploy
- 10:07Speaker 2: in areas of trust.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Think about that. Let's talk about trust. When it comes
- 10:12Speaker 1: to Bitcoin, you got to look at Michael Saylor.
- 10:14Speaker 2: He's saying there's no reason to own Bitcoin because AI
- 10:16Speaker 2: can hack crypto app. Like I was saying, there's no
- 10:19Speaker 2: reason to speak English because AI can.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Hack a messaging app.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And they're kind of blind eyeing the whole issue around quantum.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And I think this is still a concern. Obviously, Google
- 10:31Speaker 2: either is working a strategy against this or is in
- 10:35Speaker 2: real concern and have started to develop the custody strategy
- 10:38Speaker 2: to help the industries and also make money off of it.
- 10:41Speaker 2: But remember, MicroStrategy also in the custody business. So now,
- 10:45Speaker 2: is it possible we could see Bitcoin getting custody over
- 10:48Speaker 2: on Google, as we've seen their plan going forward. Other
- 10:52Speaker 2: issues happening right now, ETH treasury companies are getting ready
- 10:55Speaker 2: to report their Q3. And this is a big one
- 10:58Speaker 2: because we're watching how much of the ETH starts working
- 11:01Speaker 2: on chain. And remember that with BM & R, this
- 11:04Speaker 2: is the largest ETH holder out there with Tom Lee,
- 11:08Speaker 2: what are they going to do with all this money?
- 11:10Speaker 2: They're sitting there with a cash, first of all, the
- 11:12Speaker 2: amount of money they've earned from staking ETH. What is
- 11:15Speaker 2: that going to go and redeploy into if in fact
- 11:18Speaker 2: they stop putting money into new acquisition of ETH, which
- 11:22Speaker 2: is what they've said, and they've said they're holding to
- 11:24Speaker 2: that at 5%.
- 11:26Speaker 1: What would be next?
- 11:27Speaker 2: He's going to continue to pour it into DeFi. Watch
- 11:30Speaker 2: that one very closely. Last up is the DTCC is
- 11:34Speaker 2: now launched. Tokenization service is available, and they promised October.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Here we are on October 28th. It's available now. A
- 11:42Speaker 2: couple of points I want to focus on. There's 34
- 11:45Speaker 2: available securities that you can get at launch. I guess
- 11:49Speaker 2: they're going to be growing this down the road. And
- 11:52Speaker 2: it is available 24-7, but only to intra-chain peer-to-peer transfers
- 11:58Speaker 2: between DTC registered wallets. So figure out how you're going
- 12:04Speaker 2: to use this, I guess, as a retail trader, even
- 12:07Speaker 2: as maybe as an administrator.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's something that.
- 12:12Speaker 2: We're going to watch because I still wasn't sure this
- 12:14Speaker 2: was going to get done, and it's got done. So
- 12:16Speaker 2: kudos to the DTCC team and, of course, Canton, who
- 12:20Speaker 2: is all part of this. We're going to be watching
- 12:23Speaker 2: very closely. If you like this video, hit like and subscribe,
