- 0:05Speaker 1: Well, now it's time to catch up with Country Weekly,
- 0:08where we dive into news and gossip from the world
- 0:11of country music. I'm your host, Ken Dawkins, and I
- 0:14will be reading from various sources found online now. As
- 0:18a reminder, RADIOI is a reading service intended for people
- 0:21who are blind or have other disabilities that make it
- 0:24difficult to read printed material. We'll begin with the first article,
- 0:28dated April first, from Savingcountry Music dot Com. The legendary
- 0:35Troy Seals has passed away. Many souls have contributed to
- 0:39country music in the last century. The company is more
- 0:43exclusive when you talk about the performers, musicians, and songwriters
- 0:46who if you remove their work from the country music canon,
- 0:50the genre would take a decidedly different track, and often
- 0:53not as compelling or as significant. Marvel that it was
- 0:57the same man who wrote or co wrote the songs
- 1:00Who's Going to Fill Their Shoes by George Jones, We
- 1:03Had It All by Waylon Jennings, Ten Feet Away by
- 1:05Keith Whitley, and Seven Spanish Angels, which became the biggest
- 1:09number one country hit for Ray Charles when he recorded
- 1:11it with Willie Nelson back in nineteen eighty five, and
- 1:15it went on to be nominated for the c m
- 1:17A Song of the Year. Overall, he wrote eleven number
- 1:20one hits and thirty top tens. Troy Seals was a
- 1:24seminent songwriter to country music's outlaw movement. He helped launch
- 1:28Conway Twitty's massive commercial run from the songwriting position and
- 1:32would go on to become so revered as a wordsmith.
- 1:34His songs would be recorded well outside of the country
- 1:37realm by folks like the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker,
- 1:41three Dark Knight, and the New Writers of the Purple Sage.
- 1:44Eric Clapton had a hit in nineteen eighty three with
- 1:46Troy's I've Got a Rock and Roll Hard but country
- 1:50music was the compass point for Troy Seals and where
- 1:53he made a name for himself and helped make a
- 1:55name for others, while his name remained in the fine
- 1:57print of the liner notes. Born here in Madison County, Kentucky,
- 2:01on November sixteenth, nineteen thirty eight, Troy's family moved to
- 2:05Cincinnati when he was eleven, and he began performing professionally
- 2:08by the age of seventeen. Seals didn't start out to
- 2:11be a songwriter, but a performer and a musician. His
- 2:14extended family included Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts Fame,
- 2:18Brady Seals of Little Texas, Dan Seals, That's England, Dan
- 2:22songwriter Chuck Seals, who wrote Crazy Arms, and Johnny Duncan.
- 2:26Early on, Seals Matt and eventually married rockabilly performer Joanne Campbell.
- 2:31The two recorded songs together and performed on American Bandstand
- 2:34and other programs. When Campbell retired, Troy Seals went to
- 2:38work in construction. They moved to Nashville in nineteen sixty nine,
- 2:42and while building the city's famed quadraphonic studio on music Row,
- 2:45Seals caught the music book again and started pursuing work
- 2:48as a session musician. As the Outlaws Sounds started to
- 2:52take over Nashville, Troy Seals started writing some of its
- 2:55most important songs. Sammy Smith recorded Troy's first top forty
- 2:59hit with Girl in New Orleans. Though we had it
- 3:02all by Waylon Jennings wasn't a big chart hit, it
- 3:04became beloved through country throughout country music, with Dolly Partner
- 3:08and even Tina Turner recording versions of it. It was
- 3:11really Troy's work with Conway Twitty in the mid seventies
- 3:14into the early eighties that turned both into hit machines.
- 3:18Twitty had number ones with their Honky Tonk Angel, Don't
- 3:21Take It Away, Redneck and love Making night Fallen You
- 3:24for years, and numerous songs from the Conway Twitty Loretta
- 3:28Lynn catalog like Feelin's and I Can't Love You Enough.
- 3:32Some of the other names who recorded Troy Seals songs
- 3:34were Charlie Pride, Alabama, David Allen Coe, Johnny Rodriguez, Merle Haggard,
- 3:39Ruba McIntyre, Glenn Campbell, Ronnie millsap Geene Watson, Hank Williams Junior,
- 3:44and the Oakridge Boys. His extended resume of contributions led
- 3:48to his induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame
- 3:51back in nineteen eighty eight. Troy Seals also was recording
- 3:55artist and released a handful of singles and albums. He
- 3:58perhaps put together a strong enough resume for consideration by
- 4:01the Country Music Hall of Fame someday, but when he
- 4:04passed away back on March sixth, at the age of
- 4:06eighty six, the news didn't even make it out to
- 4:09the public, let alone to the press. I'm sure this
- 4:11is the first time all of you have heard it.
- 4:13It took Robert Orman breaking the news on April first
- 4:16before the public was made aware Troy Seals was one
- 4:19of those songwriters that did major work in the Shadows
- 4:22through George Jones. Troy compelled us to ask who's going
- 4:25to fill their shoes when it comes to the country
- 4:27legends who pass on. Now we must ask that question
- 4:30when it comes to Troy Seals next. Well saving Country
- 4:35Music's commentary, Morgan Wallen makes the least of his SNL appearance.
- 4:41Huh So, Morgan Wallen appeared on Saturday Night Live in
- 4:44its third controversy, and he didn't even really seem thrilled
- 4:48to be there or grateful for the opportunity. You don't say.
- 4:53This is the same guy who was named the CMA
- 4:55Entertainer of the Year in twenty twenty four, the highest
- 4:58honor in all of country music, and not only couldn't
- 5:00be bothered to be there to accept it, he's yet
- 5:03to evenly directly or publicly acknowledge the accolade or show
- 5:07any level of gratefulness for it. And now we're acting
- 5:09surprise that he seemed generally uninterested to be on SNL,
- 5:14which is, of course, Saturday Night Live. Morgan Wallen was
- 5:17Saturday Night Live's musical guest on March twenty ninth, and
- 5:20sang the songs just in Case and the title track
- 5:22to his upcoming album I'm the Problem. His performances were fine,
- 5:27says Saving Country Music, and in fact they underscored that
- 5:30even though many lump Morgan In with the worst excesses
- 5:33of bro country, that's kind of not his bag. There
- 5:36was no rapping aside from his drummer hitting a trigger pad.
- 5:39There weren't any machine beats or backing tracks, and as
- 5:42many pointed out, there wasn't a good reason to have
- 5:44five guitar players on stage with him. But whatever, if anything,
- 5:49the performances felt a little boring. A Morgan Wallen's song
- 5:52just never goes deeper than the surface. Wallin did seem
- 5:55generally engaged while on stage, but this was unlike all
- 5:59his appearances in the promos for the show all week,
- 6:01where he seemed completely uninterested. The biggest gripe many had
- 6:05was that Wallen ducked out during the long running Good
- 6:08Night's segment at the end of the show as the
- 6:10credits run after giving host Mickey Madison a limp shoulder hug.
- 6:15Morgan skipped off the stage toward the camera and was
- 6:18shortly on a plane heading south, saying on Instagram, get
- 6:22me to God's Country. Many folks are up in arms
- 6:25over the disrespect. Wallen showed and wondered if he got
- 6:27the cold shoulder from the cast since there was such
- 6:29a gulf between him and the cast members on stage
- 6:32during the Good Nights. But the abrupt Morgan Wallen walkoff
- 6:36feels like yet another Morgan Wallen nontroversy. That doesn't mean
- 6:40that there isn't any concern to be had over it,
- 6:43but ultimately, like all of Morgan Wallen's dumb moves over
- 6:46the years, nobody got hurt and nothing really happened, irrespective
- 6:50of its true significance of symbolism. Though the Morgan Wallen
- 6:54walkoff became the biggest topic on social media the day after,
- 6:59though some of Wallin's fans of praising him for sticking
- 7:01it to the libs for walking off the set in disgust.
- 7:04If this was the case, why did Wallan even agree
- 7:06to perform? If the whole experience was painful for Wallen,
- 7:10why did he do it? Publicity, sure, but it's undetermined
- 7:14if Morgan ingratiated himself to anyone else but his established fans. Meanwhile,
- 7:19the EW crowd on social media roasted him, and others
- 7:23thought he looked like a wing nut walking off stage.
- 7:26The somewhat formal explanation for the walk off is that
- 7:29Morgan Wallan simply thought it was time to go, and
- 7:32had exited that way off stage in rehearsals too. But
- 7:35as Wallen never seen Saturday Night Live, doesn't he know
- 7:38that everyone mills about afterwards on stage. What's perhaps more
- 7:42concerning is how Wallan borrowed the Tyler Childer's bit of
- 7:45having a console television on stage with him while he
- 7:48was performing. For Tyler, it's his actual papa's old TV
- 7:53that he has turned into a guitar amplifier. For Wallin,
- 7:56it was simply a facade that flashed the track names
- 7:59of his new album while he was performing. Perhaps no
- 8:02publicity is bad publicity, but it's not like Morgan Wallen
- 8:05is on the margins looking to break out. He's arguably
- 8:08the biggest artist in all of music, and that's why
- 8:11Lorne Michaels and SNL booked him. It was entirely transactional
- 8:16for both parties, with Wallen putting about as much passion
- 8:18in the appearance as the day laborer and SNL simply
- 8:22trying to cash in on the elevated ratings and street
- 8:25cred they'll get in the Trump era for letting Wallen
- 8:27back on the show after he duffed it in the
- 8:29first time. Yes, all of this feels dumb, but that
- 8:33was the reason this opportunity should have gone to someone else,
- 8:36such as Zach Bryan, Zach Topsira Farrell, etc. These decisions matter,
- 8:42and of Saturday Night Live isn't going to give these
- 8:44performances to artists that can significantly benefit from them. At
- 8:48least give them to people who will care and be grateful.
- 8:52Now we move over to countrynow dot Com with the
- 8:55first article dated March thirty. First, Lady Wilson celebrates wild Flowers,
- 9:00Wild Horses and four by four by You at Double
- 9:03Number one party. After wrapping the European leg up of
- 9:07her World Wind Tour Worldwide, That's the Whirlwind World Tour,
- 9:12Lady Wilson returned to the States and took a moment
- 9:14to celebrate the chart topping success of her seventh and
- 9:17eighth number one singles Wildflowers and Wild Horses and four
- 9:21by four by You during a special event hosted by
- 9:24BMI late last week. Wilson and her team chose the
- 9:28historic Bradley's Barn in Mount Juliett, Tennessee as the perfect
- 9:31setting to celebrate her number one singles. Nearly two hundred
- 9:35guests gathered at the iconic venue for the afternoon event,
- 9:38where the atmosphere felt like a close knit family reunion. Hugs, handshakes,
- 9:42and friendly conversation filled the room as attendees made their
- 9:46way into the celebration. Heartfelt speeches were made in a
- 9:49commemorative plaque of Multiple plaques were presented in honor of
- 9:53the two chart harpers. Prior to the official party, Wilson
- 9:56and her co writers reflected on the making of the
- 9:58songs and their journey to country radio success. With one
- 10:03of her four by four by You co writers, John
- 10:05desh Is, by her side, Wilson shared that they wrote
- 10:08the song in just forty minutes after finishing another track, Ringfinger,
- 10:12from her Whirlwind album. Deshs mentioned that he oftened Brainstorms
- 10:16song titles and had this one ready to go when
- 10:18Wilson expressed a desire to write a funny song. He
- 10:21suggested the idea in my experience, not that I have
- 10:24much experience, but the funny songwriter is the broke songwriter.
- 10:27So I was like, well, what about his here? And
- 10:30so you just jump on the tail of Landy Wilson's
- 10:32airplane and you write four by four by You, he
- 10:34said with a laugh. Wilson recalled feeling an instant connection
- 10:38to the idea and decided she was all in as
- 10:41soon as he said the hook. It was almost like
- 10:43we're all on the same page about what kind of
- 10:44song it needed to be. It needed to be one
- 10:47of a kind, anthemic, soaring type melodies, I guess you
- 10:49could say, she said. The song came together quickly and
- 10:52wound up being an anthem for Wilson during a somewhat
- 10:55challenging time of her life. This was during the time
- 10:58of my life that was constantly changing. During that time
- 11:00of my life, I felt like it was really important
- 11:03for me to hold on to the things that were
- 11:04helping me keep my feet planted on the ground, and
- 11:07that was keeping my people close, she explained. And that's
- 11:10what four by four by Us really is about. It's
- 11:14about keeping your people close and understanding the importance of
- 11:17the simple things in life and how important those moments are.
- 11:21The number one celebration happened to fall just hours after
- 11:24four by four by U was nominated for two ACM Awards,
- 11:27Song of the Year and Visual Media of the Year. Wilson,
- 11:31who earned a total of seven nominations in six separate categories,
- 11:34expressed her excitement for her co writers and shared how
- 11:37she loved seeing her friends succeed. I get very excited
- 11:41for my songwriting buddies. This is John's very first number
- 11:44one song and his first time being nominated for an ACM.
- 11:48You know what, when it's good When you write songs
- 11:50with people and you get to know them, you start
- 11:52becoming really good friends. So every time I see that
- 11:55they've got a win, it just hypes me up and
- 11:57makes me feel like it's my first time ever getting
- 11:59nominated when it's their first time. Next, Wilson was joined
- 12:03by Tranny Anderson and Paul Sykes to share the story
- 12:05behind Wildflowers and Wild Horses. They revealed that Anderson came
- 12:09into this songwriting session with the first two verses already written.
- 12:13I knew I love the melody love the space in
- 12:15it because modern music is so word heavy all the time,
- 12:18so just felt special to have that space and his
- 12:20story was about to unfold, Anderson shared, then Paul Sykes
- 12:24over here, he's one of the best guitarist in Nashville
- 12:26in my opinion, started doing that bluegrass picky thing. And
- 12:30then suddenly we were writing Laney's autobiography Five Generations. I mean,
- 12:34of those lyrics are very true to her story. Little
- 12:37did Wilson know just how accurately the lyrics would reflect
- 12:40her own life. After speaking to the lyrics being true
- 12:43to my story, without even knowing it, I had sent
- 12:46this song over to my mama, knowing it was pretty
- 12:47special immediately, and she's like, this is my favorite song
- 12:50you've ever written, and she said it reminds me of
- 12:53my family. And she ended up telling me, which is
- 12:56a fact I did not know that my great grandfather,
- 12:59her grandfather, caught one of the very last wild horses
- 13:01in Louisiana and farmed it with it for years. He
- 13:05also met my grandma while he was riding his horse
- 13:07into town and put her on the back and they
- 13:09rode off into the sunset. So really, I am from
- 13:12a family of wildflowers and wild horses and didn't even
- 13:15know it. As someone who consistently makes country music history,
- 13:19Wilson chose to celebrate these number one songs at Bradley's Barn,
- 13:23a legendary recording studio. What started out as a horse barn,
- 13:27Bradley's Barn was transformed into a recording studio by Country
- 13:30Music Hall of Famer Owen Bradley. Country music greats like
- 13:33Merle Haggard, George Jones, Brenda Lee, Loreda Lane, and Moore
- 13:36have recorded there, making it a true piece of country
- 13:39music history. Today, Owen's great grandchildren, John and Lillian Grace Bradley,
- 13:44have revitalized the historic space, offering live music and events
- 13:47while preserving its storied legacy. He got to hear the
- 13:51stories of this place, the history that has happened here,
- 13:54and on certain instruments in this room. It's just a
- 13:56feeling to it, and I just wanted to be something different,
- 13:59Wilson told it. The double number one party took place
- 14:02ahead of the launch of the US leg of Lady
- 14:05Wilson's Whirlwind World Tour, which is set to launch this summer.
- 14:08After a slew of festival appearances next. Jordan Davis announces
- 14:14twenty twenty five Ain't Enough Road Tour. Jordan Davis keeps
- 14:19the big announcements coming. Today he shared the news of
- 14:22his next headlining tour through yet another hilarious video that
- 14:25puts his acting skills in creativity on full display. Produced
- 14:30by Live Nation, the twenty twenty five Ain't Enough Road
- 14:32Tour will take the multi platinum singer songwriter across the
- 14:35US to several major markets and dream Come True venues.
- 14:39Davis will kick off the nationwide trek on Thursday, September
- 14:43eleventh and Greater Palm Springs, California at the Aquashore Arena,
- 14:47continue with stops in La New York, Phoenix, Saint Louis, Rosemont, Savannah,
- 14:51and Moore, before wrapping up on Saturday, October twenty fifth
- 14:54in Astero, Florida at the Hertz Arena. Mitchell Tenpenny and
- 14:59Vincent Mason join serve as special guests on the entire run.
- 15:04The I Ain't Saying singer started off the day by
- 15:07letting fans in on the big news he's been eager
- 15:09to share. He took to social media to debut a
- 15:11video featuring surprise cameos by sports legends Peyton Manning and
- 15:15Jim Nantz. The clip follows Davis as he attempts to
- 15:18show off his golf skills in a national Gold tour
- 15:21alongside his tour mates, who seem to share his lack
- 15:24of talent on the course. Thanks to some honest commentary
- 15:27from Manning, Davis realizes it wasn't the right kind of
- 15:30tour for him to be on. Instead, he decides to
- 15:32hang up his clubs and stick to doing what he
- 15:35does best, playing music for his loyal listeners. Jordan Davis
- 15:39also appeared on CBS Mornings to discuss the upcoming tour.
- 15:42The country star predicts that his twenty twenty five set
- 15:45list will include twenty to twenty four songs and he
- 15:48will be using a ton of energy each night as
- 15:50he intends to move around rather than just stand and
- 15:52play guitar for his fans in order to prepare. He says,
- 15:56the best thing to do is find your routine that
- 15:58works for you. You try to do some cardio and
- 16:00be in shape. You don't sleep great. We're on tour buses,
- 16:03so you just got to find your routine that works
- 16:05for you that gets me ready to play a show.
- 16:08He went on to explain the name of the Ain't
- 16:10Enough Road Tour stem simply from the fact that even
- 16:12after being out on the road for nearly ten years,
- 16:15he still finds himself having so much fun and wanting
- 16:18to play more venues and reach new fans. It feels
- 16:21like there's always new places to play, and I really
- 16:23am excited about the artists I'm taking out with us,
- 16:26so I feel like at the end of it, I'm
- 16:28going to wish that we had a few more dates.
- 16:30So I felt like that was a fitting name. The
- 16:33news follows the release of Jordan Davis's latest single, bar None,
- 16:36which is set to appear on his highly anticipated next album,
- 16:40expected to drop later this year. Plus, prior to all
- 16:43the career updates, he and his wife Kristen share their
- 16:46latest pregnancy announcement, revealing that they will be adding a
- 16:49fourth child to their family. Well on CBS, he admitted
- 16:52he still hasn't figured out how to balance family life
- 16:55and touring and stated that he stated that he happily
- 16:59accepting any time tips that anyone has to offer. Tickets
- 17:03for the Road Tour will be available starting this past Wednesday. Unfortunately,
- 17:07the nearest Show to Us will be in Dayton, Ohio next.
- 17:12Laura and r Lena gets feisty in new track Household.
- 17:17Laura and Lena may be pregnant and happily merry, but
- 17:19she's channeling an entirely different kind of energy in her
- 17:22feisty new release Household. The unapologetic track finds the standout
- 17:27vocalist questioning how much hell can a household as she
- 17:31details what appears to be an extremely toxic relationship filled
- 17:34with fights, secrets, lies, alcohol, abuse, and more. Elena struggles
- 17:38with the expectations of being a traditional housewife and does
- 17:41her best to hold things together, but it's evident she's
- 17:44on the verge of breaking household it together. Diamond ring
- 17:48around the Rosie forever. That's what good girls do. Yeah,
- 17:51that's what I've been told. I ain't a Barbie doll,
- 17:53He ain't no can these four walls about to cave in?
- 17:56Home Sweet Home never felt so cold? How much hell
- 17:59can a house hold? That's her singing in the chorus.
- 18:02The soon to be Mom co wrote the song with
- 18:04Casey Brown, Lydia Vaughan, and Parker Welling, and said she
- 18:07enjoyed getting into character while in the waiting writing room.
- 18:11Household is a perfect blend of Southern grit and Sas
- 18:14Elena shared, We've all been in a how much hell
- 18:16can household hold? Scenario? I wrote this song after listening
- 18:20to one of my best friends vent about her relationship.
- 18:23It may not reflect my own marriage, but I think
- 18:25it showcases my personality. Flawlessly. Produced by Joey moy, the
- 18:30song channels the rebellious energy of Miranda Lambert's early releases,
- 18:34blending fiery attitude with clever, catchy lyrics. Household, of course,
- 18:39follows the release of Elena's heartfelt Those Kind of Women.
- 18:42This song showcases a totally different side of her personality
- 18:45and is destined to be a radio hit. Already a
- 18:48fan favorite during her tour with Rascal Flats, it's evident
- 18:51that Household is a standout track. These tracks are expected
- 18:56to land on Elena's forthcoming new album, which is still
- 18:58in the works. Tease that she's leaning into her country
- 19:02roots on the project and that she plans to release
- 19:04a lot of new music ahead of the official project.
- 19:07We're still recording, we have new songs, she shared during
- 19:09an appearance on the Amazon music podcast Country Heat Weekly
- 19:14this year. Basically, the plan is to release a ton
- 19:16of music. We don't have a target dates specifically for
- 19:18the full length album, but we have a lot of
- 19:20things coming up in the meantime leading up to that.
- 19:23Laura Lane is expected to welcome her baby Girl on
- 19:26May twenty ninth, and fans can catch her touring with
- 19:28Rascal Flats until then. Now we open up wide and
- 19:32move over to hollocuntry dot com with the first article
- 19:35dated March thirty. First Shiboozi, Dasha, and Zach Top among
- 19:39the first time ACM nominees ahead of the twenty twenty
- 19:43five event. As a first for everything in, many of
- 19:46country music's latest stars are checking one more off their lists.
- 19:50Several of today's hottest acts have just received their first
- 19:53ACM recognition ahead of the twenty twenty five Academy of
- 19:57Music Country or Academy of Country Music Awards. Gavin Adcock, Dasha,

- 20:21is up for six of those nominations, including Single of
- 20:24the Year, Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year,

- 21:02the Group of the Year categories. Noah Con is up
- 21:05for a win alongside collaborator Kelsey Ballerini their Cowboys Cry
- 21:09two duet in the running for Music Event of the Year.
- 21:12Should he win, it will be as both an artist
- 21:15and producer. The sixtieth ACM Awards will take place on Thursday,
- 21:20May eighth at eight pm Eastern Time. The event will
- 21:23stream live from the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas,
- 21:27exclusively on Prime Video. Next, Dylan Scott drops infectious new
- 21:33single I Hate Whiskey and announces third album, Easy Does It.
- 21:38Dylan Scott has returned with a brand new single, I
- 21:40Hate Whiskey, which is set to appear on the Can't
- 21:43Have Mine, Find You a Girl hit maker's third studio album,
- 21:47Easy Does It. The eagerly anticipated record continues the momentum
- 21:51following Scott's widely louded deluxe Living Me Best Life Still project,
- 21:56which arrived exactly a year ago. Easy Does It drops
- 21:59on May thirtieth, with Dylan Scott's cementing his status as
- 22:02one of the leading figures in the contemporary country scene
- 22:05through his addictive fusion of country and hip hop. It
- 22:09could be seen as a risk to release a country
- 22:11song titled I Hate Whiskey, given how pivotal this firewater
- 22:15is to the genre, but the track succeeds in flipping
- 22:17the classic trope on its head. The addictive new single
- 22:20finds Dylan Scott lamenting the fact that no matter how
- 22:23many bottles of jack he burns through, he can't get
- 22:26his old flame off his mind. Penned by Taylor Phillips,
- 22:30Michael Ray, John Kraft, Jackson Free, with Jacob Derrett taking
- 22:34the helm for the production, I Hate Whiskey insures expectations
- 22:38remaining sky high head of Easy Does It, with fans
- 22:41hoping Dylan Scott decides to treat us to another single
- 22:44or two before the full project's May thirtieth release date.
- 22:48In addition to I Hate Whiskey, Easy Does It, which
- 22:50is available to pre order now, will feature some standouts
- 22:53from Scott's expanded Living My Best Life project, including the
- 22:56powerful bittersweet What He'll Never Have and You Think I
- 23:00Was a Cowboy. With the pre order, fans can also
- 23:03immediately stream the rowdy, energizing earworms This Town's Been Too
- 23:07Good to Us and Country Till I Die. Along with
- 23:11these already out offerings, Easy Does It will include two
- 23:14rose tinted odes to Dylan Scott's wife, Blair Anderson Twice
- 23:18and Till I Can't I Will. The Louisiana singer songwriter
- 23:22teased both songs alongside the project's title track via Instagram
- 23:25earlier in the week, with fans clamoring for release as
- 23:28soon as possible. Dylan Scott has always struck a compelling
- 23:32balance between hell raising, muscled up anthems and heartwarming love
- 23:36struck ballads with My Girl. Crooner's ability to nimbly blur
- 23:40the lines between genres offering him more tonal versatility than many.
- 23:44For instance, Dylan Scott leans into his country roots with
- 23:47the fiery, electric guitar fueled Country Till I Die, which
- 23:50inspired the name of his twenty twenty five tour. While
- 23:53on the sleek You'd think I was a Cowboy, Scott
- 23:55flirts with a trap and R and B driven ambience.
- 23:59On the latter, he the ethereal whistling and Jack's a
- 24:01Wild West feeling into the track, again, consolidating the two
- 24:05time ACM Awards nominees genre flexibility. As a result, we
- 24:10can't wait to hear all eleven tracks on Easy Does It,
- 24:13including the never heard before back forty Smoke Follows Beauty
- 24:17and I Owe You One in a couple of months time. Now,
- 24:21we step on the gas with both feet to head
- 24:23on over to the boot dot Com with the first
- 24:26article published March thirty first, Luke Bryan has a hard
- 24:29time wrapping his brain around this career accomplishment. Among all
- 24:34the things that Luke Bryan has accomplished in his lengthy career,
- 24:37this one thing he struggles to wrap his mind around.
- 24:40I've tried to approach my career in the business to
- 24:42never take a day for granted, and to never take
- 24:44a hit song for granted, Brian admits to CMT in
- 24:47a recent interview. Still he can't believe how many number
- 24:50one songs he's achieved in his career. As the interviewer
- 24:53is telling the Star that he has just earned his
- 24:55thirty first number one hit in country music with Love
- 24:58You Miss You Mean It, Brian can't quite understand it.
- 25:02To hear you say thirty one is really hard for
- 25:04me to wrap my brain around, he says after a
- 25:06deep breath. It's a testament to the fans supporting me
- 25:08throughout the years, and whether I'm on stage or writing
- 25:11music or recording songs, I just try to always put
- 25:15them first. Brian's first big song happened to be his
- 25:18debut single, his first song out of the gate as
- 25:20a performer. All my friends say It only peaked at
- 25:23number five, but was on the charts for a whopping
- 25:26thirty weeks. Putting fans first is a huge part of
- 25:29the reason the Kick Dust Up hit maker has been
- 25:31so successful. He realizes that he is making music for
- 25:35his fans, not himself, so he caters to what they
- 25:37want and love from him. Brian says he always wants
- 25:40to make sure that he can do a song that
- 25:42relates to them. The fans kind of crazy, Brian admits
- 25:45still absorbing that he's number one thirty one time since seven.
- 25:49When all my friends say hit Radio, I look at
- 25:52the list of thirty one, it freaks me out. I
- 25:54don't want to keep talking about it because I'm afraid
- 25:56the streak's going to end. Doesn't seem that thirty one
- 25:59is the magic number either. Brian shows no signs of
- 26:02slowing down, especially when it comes to performing live for fans.
- 26:05This summer, he's on his country song Came On to
- 26:08Her with dates through September sixth in Mississippi. Next, Keith
- 26:13Urban spots I beat Cancer to hug Keith Urban's sign
- 26:16makes a fans dream come true. A woman in the
- 26:20crowd during a reason Keith Urban performance was holding up
- 26:23a sign that read I Beat Cancer to hug Keith Urban.
- 26:26The Country Star was singing live on stage at the
- 26:29Rieman Auditorium in March twenty sixth when he spotted it.
- 26:32Then he proceeds to really make the moment special by
- 26:35hopping off the stage to greet the fan on the
- 26:37crowd and carrying on a full conversation with her while
- 26:40the concert is on pause. WSAM Radio posted the special
- 26:44video to Instagram showing Urban on stage during the band
- 26:48as One Nashville concert for the Cure Trisha Yearwood and
- 26:51Friends benefit show. The event was a charity draw for
- 26:54Susan G. Coleman's breast cancer research efforts. A number of
- 26:58breast cancer warriors were in the audience when Urban makes
- 27:01his way to this fan, also a cancer survivor, as
- 27:04her sign says, she's visibly shaken that this is actually
- 27:07unfolding like she'd hoped. The Country Star hugs her for
- 27:10a solid five seconds. Not one to rush a warm interaction,
- 27:15Erbin asks her what her name is and where she's from.
- 27:17The two hug again. Is the fan thanks Erbin, and
- 27:20she flashes her million dollars smile fans in the comments
- 27:24section of the video loved what they saw, with one
- 27:27writing literally the nicest guy in Nashville, the real deal.
- 27:31Another notes the behavior of other fans in attendance and
- 27:34commends them. Kudos to the crowd they let this woman
- 27:38and Keith have their moment. It's inspiring to see a
- 27:40large group of people realize what is important and what
- 27:44is good and allow it to happen. More of this
- 27:46please America. Thanks to Erbin and other performers, the event
- 27:50pulled in seven hundred thousand dollars for cancer research. Well,
- 27:56this concludes the reading of Country Weekly for this week.
