Speaker A: Alright. What's going on?
• 0:01
Speaker B: I'm guessing you look great. Thank you.
• 0:05
Speaker A: You actually, like. I didn't know. I thought maybe my resolution or someone's WI fi picked up tonight. But you're looking crisp, like, you're looking good.
• 0:15
Speaker B: Thank you. I appreciate that. Yeah, I've. I've lost a little more weight, I think. I think that's starting to show in my face.
• 0:25
Speaker A: It is a little bit for sure.
• 0:27
Speaker B: I carry. I carry pretty much all of my weight in my like stomach and love handles. So it takes a long time for me to look thinner.
• 0:41
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 0:42
Speaker B: When I'm losing weight, I thought for
• 0:44
Speaker A: a second you're gonna be like, I carry a lot of my weight in my face. And I was like, this fucking guy doesn't even know. But you're right. Yeah. Yeah. That's where I carry mine, right? My gut, my love handles.
• 0:55
Speaker B: Yeah, I carry most of my weight in my dick. It's been a sad month. Yeah. So I figure we'll probably just rehash the last couple weeks following up on. On last, last episode, but.
• 1:16
Speaker A: So it's been two weeks to the day and that's what you committed to? Yeah, yeah. I haven't been up to much. Went and saw. Went and saw. Is it Zach? Brian.
• 1:35
Speaker B: Yeah, I think that's his name.
• 1:36
Speaker A: Went, saw him in concert. So she told me a couple months ago she got these tickets and she being Miami and I was like, all right, cool, whatever. So like Max McNown. I started listening to the music, see if I even like this guy. So I'm listening to it. I'm like, man, I don't. I don't really dig his music. And then we get there and like he starts playing. I'm like, I fucking love this song. You know he does something in the orange. He does hey driver. You know, like he starts put. And now that's like all I'm listening to. Dude, great show. Great time with her. It was a good. It was a good. It was. It was been a good couple weeks, bro. We're going to California tomorrow. We're going to be for number four's birthday. We're going to take her and stay the weekend on the Queen Mary.
• 2:30
  Speaker B: Oh, cool.
• 2:31
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 2:34
Speaker B: The. The haunted one.
• 2:36
  Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
• 2:39
Speaker B: Let's see. I bought her a little fine grandma.
• 2:42
Speaker A: I bought her a little EMP set, you know, beginner kit.
• 2:45
  Speaker B: Oh, that's awesome.
• 2:47
Speaker A: So she. It was.
• 2:48
Speaker B: Oh, that's so much fun.
• 2:49
Speaker A: That's all she wanted, dude. And she's like, that's. And I was like, I Got this. So, yeah, we're going down there to have a little weekend.
• 2:57
Speaker B: You ordered it out of the back of a comic book?
• 3:00
Speaker A: I wish, dude. I ordered off of Amazon. I felt like I was getting ripped off. Comes with these little, like, they call them cat balls. And then I noticed, yeah, they're like, in every. They're just literally cat balls with, like, blue LEDs or, you know, black light in them. All right. Yeah. And once you notice them, you know, some in all the sets, and you're like, I'm getting ripped off buying a bunch of, like, mishmash from China. And they're like, yeah, this shit's ghost. Ghost detector.
• 3:43
Speaker B: It's just so funny that, like, the idea that we developed technology to speak to the other side, but, you know, it's not that booming of a business.
• 3:56
Speaker A: You know what I mean?
• 4:00
Speaker B: Sales are down this quarter, fellas. Ever since Ghost Adventures went off the air,
• 4:08
Speaker A: it's ridiculous. And then, dude, you'd be surprised. There are sites out there that have, like, I'm gonna put these in quotes, Legit. Go signing equipment. And you're paying, like, hundreds into the thousands for a kit.
• 4:21
Speaker B: Now when you say. You say legit, you know what I'm saying? But no, like, you're talking about equipment there to find something that doesn't exist.
• 4:31
Speaker A: That's what their whole website's geared for, you know, I mean, like Amazon, you go on there, you find anything, there's certain sites, like, that's all they got is ghost hunt and shit.
• 4:41
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 4:41
Speaker A: And it's like, oh, you guys.
• 4:44
Speaker B: Now if you want good snipe hunting equipment, you really got to go to, like, a reputable dealer. Don't get that kind of net. You need a good net. No, I poke fun. But that's awesome. That's so much fun for kids.
• 5:04
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 5:05
Speaker B: Here's a. Here's a great topic since. Since we're on it. So you and I ghost hunted, sort of.
• 5:11
Speaker A: Yeah. We did it. We did it.
• 5:12
  Speaker B: You're sort of.
• 5:15
Speaker A: I mean, we had to stay the night at least. And we slept in the living room. Like, the best place to sleep was where she died.
• 5:24
Speaker B: That's kind of. That's. Sure. But like, the lights were on and we fell asleep watching a movie. Yeah.
• 5:31
Speaker A: After we. After we watched a couple hours of Reno 911. Yeah.
• 5:38
Speaker B: And you in a bag. Yeah. Long story. Guys, I think. I think you should tell the story of the lady in the red dress.
• 5:49
Speaker A: Dude, that's funny you bring it up because number four always ask me when we drive, tell Me a story. Tell me a story. So bring being the Queen Mary. I was like, all right, I'll tell you story. This is true story. So I woke up. I woke up one morning. I was in seventh grade. I got up, and I'm sitting. It's about 5, 4, 35am and it wasn't like. I'm like, I didn't do this often, but this morning, I wanted, like, get up, get prepped. I want to be the first at school. And I wanted to practice basketball because I just kind of look like everybody's playing it. I'm just kind of getting into it. And so I go. I'm sitting up. I'm looking out the window. I'm sitting on my bed. And out of my peripheral to my right, I see a woman in a red dress walk out of my closet and out. Out my bedroom door. And I freak out. Like, I freak out. So I don't tell nobody. After about a week, I finally go to my older sister. I'm like, dude, like, this is what I saw. Walk her through it. And she goes, was it a woman in a red dress? I said, yeah. And she was like, I saw her when I was in that room, too,
• 7:19
  Speaker B: bro.
• 7:19
Speaker A: I slept with boys to men on every night.
• 7:24
Speaker B: You know what's so funny? The first time you told me this story, you said it was Dr. Dre, and I feel like I just got the real story.
• 7:34
Speaker A: No, it was like, boys to men every night. And I would face away from the door. Like, I wouldn't. Like, I would face the wall. I would go to bed while everybody was still up so that I could have, like, the hallway light on.
• 7:49
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 7:49
Speaker A: Because once dad went to bed, like,
• 7:51
Speaker B: no, you had to run out of the room. There's people out there.
• 7:55
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 7:56
Speaker B: You know? Yeah. Yeah.
• 7:57
Speaker A: And I never woke up before the sun came up ever again. So I did. I did tell my mom and my mom. You know, my mom. Moms are moms. Mom shows up with the whole oil. Oh, boy. You know, like sage. Yeah, dude. Just putting oil above every window, you know, so you would expect the sage. But she actually came in with oil and rubbed it on the door post in a cross over all the windows and door post and kind of prayed over the place. So, like, is. Is doctrinally off. My mom is looking back. Like, that was probably a proper response, for sure.
• 8:48
Speaker B: Yeah. And you never saw her again, right?
• 8:51
Speaker A: Yeah, but I don't know if that's just because of timing, you know,
• 8:57
Speaker B: she had better going on.
• 8:59
Speaker A: I was the first to bed, and Last arise. You know what I'm saying?
• 9:04
Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, that's true. That's almost creepier to think. Like, maybe she was there every single night, but you just never saw her.
• 9:11
Speaker A: Here's the crazy part. My mom's side has a lot of paranormal engagement. My grandma used to do like, get togethers where she would have seances. They've had like. My mom grew up with like, birds. Her, you know, her. Her pet birds dying in the night. And, and there'd be times where I'd spend the night at relatives houses. And they're like, yeah, last night, and one in particular, I was at an uncle's house. And this. Oh, this is a true story. And this is why I did what I did. So I'm at his house. This is a good story to tell my daughter. So I'm at his house. We would always go, and we play video games all the time. And so he had to go with his wife and daughter to another state to go visit her brother in prison. It was visiting day, so they had to leave like at one in the morning and they wouldn't be back to like afternoon. So I was like, well, shit, dude. Like, he's always told me his place is haunted. He's had engagements where he's like, dude, honestly, like, I've got. In the shower, I get out and like, my, my, my clothes are folded. And you know, like, he's like, I'll get on my. On my wife. I'm not gonna say her name. But he's like, I'd get on my wife and be like, hey, dude, like, they're dirty. You don't need to fold them. She's like, I never touch your clothes. And then his daughter used to always draw pictures of the little boy she would play with at night in her room.
• 10:53
  Speaker B: Wow, that.
• 10:55
Speaker A: Yeah. So that one night we walk around their house, it's all dark, and they're talking. Like if, if there's someone here making noise and they're going through all this stuff and the house, the. The house is settling. So we go walking around at night talking this shit. And we get into the kitchen and all these like, containers are lined up and it's like cereal boxes and all these like packaged food boxes on their counter. And we're all like in a conga line walking behind each other. I'm like, last second to last. It was. It was basically either me or my cousin last. And we walk by these, these containers, they all fall over. So we're like, oh, we get scared, right? I get scared they live in this world. I get scared. So they go away that day to go see her brother. I get up and I'm like, all right, they're gone. It's 1am I'm like, I just got to wait till sun up. I just got to wait till sun up, sun comes up, I go out, I go outside. Like, it. Like 5:36am I'm outside and I'm walking around looking for yard sales because I don't want to stay in that.
• 12:13
  Speaker B: That.
• 12:14
Speaker A: That place by myself. So I find yard sales. I do all I can. I go to. I go to Burger King, I get two Whoppers, and I'm like, I'm just gonna go. It's afternoon. I don't have a lot to be afraid of right now. I'm gonna leave the door open. Ain't nothing gonna happen. Ain't no ghost gonna come out in the afternoon.
• 12:34
  Speaker B: So.
• 12:37
Speaker A: So I sit down, I got my burgers. I unpackaged them. I only bought the burgers, and I bought a Bart Simpson, like, doll from a yard sale. And so I'm like, cool. I'm gonna run in the kitchen. I'm gonna grab the 2 liter of cherry Pepsi. I'm gonna run back. I'm gonna grab a cup maybe and run back. I'm not kicking it in there. I'm not pouring in there. I'm bringing everything to me. I'm going, I'm coming. So I go. I grab the 2 liter Pepsi, grab a cup out of the cabinet. I run back, I got one burger. When I get back, One burger.
• 13:17
Speaker B: You're positive that you had both burgers when you walked in?
• 13:23
Speaker A: Positive. I didn't eat nothing yet. I planned to sit down. No, I've gone over this.
• 13:30
Speaker B: The variables. The variables there of dropping one of them while you're out at yard sales.
• 13:36
Speaker A: Oh, no, no, no, no. They were out of the bag. They're out of the bag.
• 13:38
  Speaker B: You both burgers.
• 13:39
Speaker A: They're out of the bag. They're on the table. Like, two burgers.
• 13:44
  Speaker B: It didn't take.
• 13:45
Speaker A: I didn't get in the bag and be like, did they give me both burgers? No, no, no, no. I took him out and was like, I'm ready to eat. Well, hold up. Almost ready. Gotta go get me some cherry Pepsi. Boom, boom, come back. I'm like, whoa. So then I couldn't believe it so much. So I took my little ass back to the kitchen thing and I left it in there. Like, I walked in the kitchen with one of them and I left, and I didn't I didn't. Now, mind you, fast forward, I'm staying at the same uncle's house again. And I ain't sleeping nowhere, but either in their bed or in their room. But I ain't sleeping on a couch no more. So I'm sleeping in their room, mind you, my mother's side of the family, very in tune with, like, my mom still says I have premonitions of ghost, like, family members that like visions in front of her telling her things. And I'm like, mom, like, that's not that. You should not be around with that. You should not be talking back to them. You should just.
• 14:55
Speaker B: You know, I thought you. I thought you were gonna say, mom, you should stop telling people that. What you want? We're in public.
• 15:05
Speaker A: No, I'm like, dude, something ain't right about that. Something ain't right about that. So anyhow, I spend the night at their house. I'm like, hey, I'm sleeping in your guys room. So I sleep at the foot of their bed on the floor. Next morning, I wake up, everything's golden. I'm cool. My aunt goes, I woke up last night. I was like, was I snoring or something? Was I loud? She's like, no, I just woke up. She goes, I looked over at the door. There was a green, like, creature standing in the doorway. And I was like, for real? She was like, yeah, it was really weird. She goes, and then he knelt down to view you from under the bed. I was like, yeah, I can't come here no more.
• 15:59
  Speaker B: I can't, guys.
• 16:00
  Speaker A: I can't play.
• 16:02
Speaker B: Yeah. Thank you for having me.
• 16:07
Speaker A: I know my mom kicked me out, my dad doesn't want me, but I think I'm gonna go back. I think. I think
• 16:14
Speaker B: this is the shot, the arm I needed to repair my relationship with my parents.
• 16:20
Speaker A: Better than military school.
• 16:23
Speaker B: Oh, my God. Yeah, that's. That's creepy. I mean, I still don't really believe in ghosts, but, like, just the idea of that is scary.
• 16:38
Speaker A: So here's the thing.
• 16:39
Speaker B: Something hovering over you while you were sleeping.
• 16:42
Speaker A: I'm in the same boat as you, bro. Like, if I didn't see that girl in the red dress, I was in the same boat my whole life.
• 16:50
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 16:51
Speaker A: Like, in the sense of you believe it because that's kind of what your family believes and talks about freely. Then you get to a state where you're like, oh, I believe in the Bible. And the Bible don't really mention, like, it mentions mediums and talking. But, like, when you die, then comes like when Samuel. When Saul went to the medium and saw Samuel and God says, stay away from mediums because of that certain reason, that means there's something there for them to engage with.
• 17:30
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 17:31
Speaker A: That means when you die, there's a. There's possibilities. I didn't think of, you know, like, originally as a Bible. Bible believer. You're like, hey, look like you die, boom. You stand before for Christ, for judgment day, like you're there. We don't believe in purgatory. Catholics do, but we don't. Now, who are the mediums engaging with? Are they demons disguised as family members?
• 18:07
Speaker B: Well, that's. That's what I hear most often. Do you think that was really Samuel?
• 18:15
  Speaker A: Yeah, I do.
• 18:17
  Speaker B: Okay.
• 18:20
Speaker A: I actually do. Yeah. Because it doesn't say otherwise. It doesn't. It doesn't say, like, what he said didn't come to pass. It also doesn't say it. It doesn't say, hey, he went and saw Samuel, but that wasn't really Samuel. And Samuel says, hey. Right. You're gonna be with us. Basically insinuating that Saul would be in heaven as well.
• 18:45
Speaker B: What if Samuel wasn't in heaven?
• 18:48
Speaker A: Well, no, he wasn't, because that wasn't there yet. Until Christ came and fulfilled the prophecies.
• 18:58
Speaker B: Break that down for me.
• 19:02
Speaker A: So. What Christ came to fulfill? No, no. What Christ came to fulfill. Basic. What Christ came to fulfill until he fulfilled it. Well, there's a holding pattern somewhere. That's Abraham's bosom. That holding power. Are holding. Whatever. I said that holding phase stops the minute Christ fulfills. And that's the three days dissension. Where he goes. Where it says I want. I forget what verse it is, but where he goes to the belly. I want to say Jude, but I think I'm wrong. Where he goes to the, like the belly of the earth for three days. I think it. That's him. It's like exposing himself to the David's, the Adams, the Abrahams, those who believed in the prophecy, in the promise, but never got to see if, like, couldn't engage in its. In its wealth until it was fulfilled.
• 20:09
Speaker B: Yeah, lots. Lots of thoughts. I'm not sure that's kind of where I'm at. I'm not sure about any of it because I think the Bible is pretty clear that they believed the gospel, for gospel just haven't been fulfilled yet.
• 20:30
Speaker A: Yeah. So you can't have the reward of what's not fulfilled. Correct.
• 20:36
Speaker B: But they do. Like, they did believe the gospel.
• 20:39
Speaker A: All right, so you're like, counted.
• 20:40
Speaker B: It was counted to Abraham for sure, for righteousness.
• 20:43
Speaker A: But you come to me and you say, christmas, I'm gonna get you a new bicycle. I'm believing in the promise of Christmas. You get me a fucking new bicycle. That doesn't mean I get the bicycle until before Christmas.
• 20:57
Speaker B: Yeah, but heaven isn't really the bicycle.
• 21:01
Speaker A: Yeah, but the gospel. They believed in the promise of the gospel, but the gospel had not been fulfilled until Christ came and was crucified. The sin was still against them.
• 21:14
Speaker B: I'm totally agreeing with that. I'm agreeing with that. I just don't know if that.
• 21:18
Speaker A: You can't be in the presence of. But you can't be in the presence of God if you're not righteous. You're not righteous until Christ pays for your sins. Their sins weren't paid for until Christ went to the cross.
• 21:29
Speaker B: He says Abraham's righteous. He says that Abraham's belief in the gospel was counted to him as righteousness.
• 21:37
Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, you're right. But still, the sins were not paid for. They weren't the sins of the world he took on his back, not the sins of everybody from Abraham on.
• 21:51
  Speaker B: Right.
• 21:54
  Speaker A: I'm just arguing it. I don't know.
• 21:56
Speaker B: No, that's true. And I'll tell you, like, so where I'm kind of at is if I believe something that's not orthodox or not, you know, like, historically been the main position, basically, the Westminster Confession. If I believe something that kind of differs from the Westminster Confession, I will keep that to myself and I won't argue it either way, because if. If the whole, you know, history of orthodox Christian teaching is not on my side, I think I should just be careful about that. But where I'm currently at is that there is no intermediate state. When you die, we all go to the resurrection. Like there. There's no disembodied state.
• 22:49
  Speaker A: Yeah. Paul.
• 22:49
Speaker B: I think Paul says, then you fall is not anywhere. Can you hear me?
• 23:03
Speaker A: I can now. Yeah. I did not. That whole time you go, yeah, I heard, like, right to the resurrection state. I know Paul talks about sleep, and I know when I fall asleep, I don't remember a single moment of it. Next thing you know, I'm waking up. So I also. That plays into. You go right into the resurrection. So I get that. However. However, I still can't. So you just don't think that was Samuel. That's your stance.
• 23:32
Speaker B: I don't know. Because here's what I will say if that is the case. If, you know, R.C. sproul, for instance, is just rotting in a hole in the Ground, but he's gonna wake up someday. But he's not online. He's not conscious. He's not thinking about anything right now. Then is there a way to kind of bring him up temporarily and talk to him? You're not ripping him out of heaven. You're just kind of bringing his consciousness back online for a second. So. I didn't used to, I never, I never believed that it was really Samuel for a bunch of reasons that I think the text kind of makes. I think the text is alluding to that for two or three reasons. But I'd have to read it again to kind of refresh myself on what those are. But it even says that she brought him up. Meaning, like, she brought him up from the grave. She didn't, like, bring from heaven for sure. So, like, I, maybe, maybe there's some way that.
• 24:40
Speaker A: Well, that's where the falls into place. I don't know, bro. But I do know God warns against going to see them as well.
• 24:49
Speaker B: Oh, yeah, for sure. But yet, I mean, that's the main point of what we're talking about. Like, it was just an interesting side note because I, I don't really know. Like, I never believed it was Samuel, but now that I'm kind of where I'm at with like, where you go, like, immediately when you die and like, whether you're conscious or anything, then, like.
• 25:13
Speaker A: So what is your stance on ghost, like, quote unquote, ghost, ghost?
• 25:20
Speaker B: I think it's a lot of things. I think that some of them are hoaxes. I, I'm not closed off of the idea that there's.
• 25:30
Speaker A: Well, take my example, that there wasn't a, A, A, a hoax. There was no influence. She wasn't, she didn't harm me or.
• 25:38
Speaker B: I believe you saw what you saw. I believe you saw what you saw. What that is, I don't know. I will say this is the example I always use. You ever walk into a room where a couple has just been fighting, and even though they're, like, pretending everything's fine, you just walk in and feel this heavy tension?
• 26:03
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 26:03
Speaker B: Okay. So I think it's, it could be like that, it could be that these are not conscious things. Things, but it could be that when something so up happens, like when a family is murdered in a house, there's some kind of reverberation of energy that just gives you this bad feeling. And it's not that they're alive still or that they're ghosts or spirits or anything, but it's just some kind of.
• 26:29
Speaker A: I, I, I can understand that, but I didn't feel anything. And I saw this lady. Like.
• 26:36
  Speaker B: Sure.
• 26:37
  Speaker A: For.
• 26:37
Speaker B: For that specific instance. I don't know. I mean, your. Your siblings saw it, too, at a
• 26:44
Speaker A: different time, but only in that. Yeah, but only in that room as well. So I don't.
• 26:48
  Speaker B: I don't know.
• 26:49
  Speaker A: But.
• 26:49
Speaker B: But is it possible that, like, you know, if she was someone who used to live in the house or something, and maybe she was killed in that room or. So we don't know the story, right? Whatever supposedly this chick's story is, is it possible that whatever happened to her was so up that, like.
• 27:09
Speaker A: I don't even want to know, bro.
• 27:10
Speaker B: Adams. Oh, sure, sure. That the. The atoms and the molecules of that house are just, like, replaying this fucked up thing. Because while you were so traumatizing, you
• 27:25
Speaker A: went, like, deep physics on us.
• 27:27
Speaker B: You were like, I don't know.
• 27:28
Speaker A: The house absorbs the atoms and replayed it. But here's the thing. Was the dress red from natural dyes or was it blood? I didn't see it that well.
• 27:40
  Speaker B: Ooh, that's a great question.
• 27:42
Speaker A: All I knew was you're not supposed to be. Yeah. You're not supposed to be in my room. That's all I knew. You know, Like. Yeah.
• 27:49
Speaker B: So I got a. I've got a question about this, and it ain't pretty, so.
• 27:52
Speaker A: Shoot me, Negan. Shoot me.
• 27:56
  Speaker B: Was she hot?
• 28:00
Speaker A: I. I didn't know, bro. Like, all I saw, okay, was the figure. And when she walked out, I just saw the back, and I was like, I'm done. Like, I can't. I can't move. I can't go past that door. I had to wait till sunlight. It defeated my whole purpose of getting up that morning. Yeah, I had to wait. But how was sun came up in order to even exit my room? Figure was it was to just see,
• 28:24
Speaker B: like, a fat ghost.
• 28:27
Speaker A: Yeah. No, she was. You know, I would say she's your average ghost. Like, she was a slender woman. It was an old, dated dress. I'd say, like, 60s, 1960s. Like, it was. It was. It was nice. It was lace. Not all lace, but, like, it was red. It was a deep red. It looked like a dye. It didn't look like. Like. Like it was stained. It was. It was solid all the way. All the way through, for sure. Long sleeve hair and a bun.
• 29:01
Speaker B: Here's another time I went ghost hunting, sort of. Right next door, my buddy Scotty.
• 29:08
Speaker A: Oh, Scotty with the peppers.
• 29:10
Speaker B: Yeah, he. He told me one night, we were. We were up having a Few beers. And he told me that he's always been really creeped out by his house. He said ever since the first night we moved into this house when I was sleeping in a sleeping bag, I've felt something off here. And I hear crazy shit every night. And I was like, well, let's see what we can see. So we were up till about three. The witching hour. You gotta do the witching hour. But we were. We. We sat in the living room in the dark, and I did hear some shit that I can't explain. So you enter the house on the middle level. It goes down to, like, a TV room. The kitchen and the living room are, like, on the entryway level. And then upstairs, a very small little staircase is the bedrooms and a bathroom. So we're on the middle level, sitting in the living room in the dark, and the toilet flushes. And the toilet is 15ft away, maybe. So I know that his wife is sleeping and his dad is in the master bedroom with his own bathroom. And there's no one else in the house, so I know that's either his wife or that's nothing. So I ran toward it. Bathroom's open. No one's coming in or out of there. No, I mean, I was. I was 15ft away, you know, like, no one got past me, you know? So I go back down the stairs, I sit back down on the couch, and you know the sound of footsteps in socks. Yeah, like on tile. Okay, well, it's hardwood. It's hardwood. You know that sound?
• 31:09
Speaker A: It's a. Like more of a bass thud.
• 31:12
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I hear that sound. It's the unmistakable sound of socks on hardwood floor. And it's walking right toward us. Like, I almost hear it coming down the stairs and then walking toward us. And again I get up and I run right to it. There's fucking no one there, dude. So, like, there was just. And then. And then a bunch of creeks and noises and stuff that could be explained by, like, the house settling or something. But it's like, I definitely heard some shit that I couldn't explain, you know? So, again, what is that? I don't know. You know, I don't really take a position on that.
• 31:50
Speaker A: So I don't know if you've seen the video of the dude in the Tick Tock that is driving through a cemetery. Have you seen that?
• 31:56
  Speaker B: Mm.
• 31:57
Speaker A: Okay. It's. I think I'm on Instagram, but he's driving through a cemetery in a lot in a Tesla and Tesla, maybe. I have seen this when they censor people right in front of your car. They stop you. And he's driving through cemetery, and, like, he's showing his surroundings, but then he's also showing his Tesla screen, like in the picture, and it's showing people and dogs all around his car. So when we get into Miami's car to leave, when we turn it on in the garage, there's always someone on her Tesla screen walking right at the bumper area. And it'll move as you, like, pull out, but, you know, you're like, oh, it's a glitch. It's misreading, like, you know, the boxes or whatever. So I get that little kit, the little beginner kit for.
• 32:51
  Speaker B: For.
• 32:51
Speaker A: For number four. And I'm like, oh, let me see if it got battery. So I turn it on and the meter comes on. And it was green or it was. It was like the.
• 33:02
  Speaker B: The.
• 33:02
Speaker A: Everything's normal light, whatever that one is, whether it was red or green. However, I turned it off before it changed colors. I didn't want to know if it was going to change colors. I didn't walk around with it. I turn it on. It was green. I said, good. That's good. That's all I need to know. I even wanted. I wanted to show Miami and be like, hey, check this out. And I was like, nah, nah, we ain't playing with that. We ain't playing with that. This is why I sleep every night. I could do a weekend in some haunted, but not every night.
• 33:37
Speaker B: Yeah, I. I definitely wouldn't go to a medium, but when it comes to, like, an EMF detector or like a toy Ouija board or something, I. I gotta be honest, dude. I'm not worried about that.
• 33:51
Speaker A: For somebody like, I don't know, like, toy Ouija boards. I don't think it has anything to do with the board it has there. I think it has everything to do with the intent and the openness. Yeah.
• 34:04
Speaker B: And. And I think that might be why, like, my sister claims to see supernatural shit or feel it all the time. And I just don't ever feel any of that shit because I don't really believe it's there. I'm not open to it. So, like, it's not coming for me because I'm not looking for it. You know what I mean?
• 34:23
Speaker A: So, like, yeah, that's why I think the open.
• 34:27
Speaker B: Not that I would, but I. I could probably fuck around with a Ouija board and not suffer any consequences, whereas someone sensitive like that might feel messed up about it, you know?
• 34:39
Speaker A: So I agree with you. Like, to Prove a point. I could get on one and be like, yeah, guys, it's dumb. Yeah. But I think we both are in tune enough to where we were. Like, no, seriously, watch. You don't believe it. It's true. I can make it work. I think the openness of that person and be like, hey, I'm open to whoever wants to come here. I think that's like. I think we could both think anybody could fuck around and do that.
• 35:08
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 35:09
  Speaker A: You know?
• 35:10
Speaker B: Yeah, I'm, I'm glad I never went down that road because there was definitely a point at which I was like, very interested in the afterlife. And if I hadn't gotten into, like, church, I could easily see myself going down like the ghost hunting or the Ouija board or Wicca or like any of those weird things, you know, like
• 35:35
Speaker A: my mom's childhood experiences. She was very, like, strict on us. Not around with that. Yeah, she was like.
• 35:45
Speaker B: Because of what she experienced with her mom.
• 35:47
Speaker A: Yeah. She was like, no, no, no, no, we don't, we don't do that. Like, we, we are not. You don't, you don't play around like that.
• 35:56
Speaker B: How, how old is your grandma? Like, what, what was her era?
• 36:03
Speaker A: So my mom is like one of the younger of nine.
• 36:08
Speaker B: Okay. And so she, she was like, you know, 1940.
• 36:16
Speaker A: The oldest one of the older siblings. Kids were the same age as my grandma's youngest sons. So like she was popping out babies for a minute. A minute. Yeah. So I don't know. I know she died. She was fucked. She was probably in her 80s when she died, and she probably died 20 years ago or so. So.
• 36:44
Speaker B: Okay. She was probably born in the 20s, which I was thinking means, like, she's not that far removed from, from the spiritualist movement.
• 36:56
  Speaker A: Oh, okay.
• 36:56
Speaker B: That was, that was in like the 1800s.
• 37:00
Speaker A: Hey, do you want to do video? Because I feel like it's bandwidthing so much that it's. It's like your video is choppy, but your, your audio is clear.
• 37:10
Speaker B: No, I'm fine. I'm fine with this.
• 37:12
  Speaker A: All right, cool.
• 37:14
Speaker B: But like, that was a huge thing in the late 1800s. Was like seances and Ouija boards and, and like, she, if she was born in the 1920s, she's not that far removed, dude.
• 37:25
Speaker A: Possibly even even earlier. I'm. I'm guessing at that. Like, I don't know if she died in the 20 years ago or 30 years ago. I just remember. I mean, it had. I had to be in my teens, so it had to be like 30 years ago. But yeah, she was. She had nine kids, bro. 10, but one died.
• 37:51
  Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's a lot of kids.
• 37:55
Speaker A: And they ranged from, like, old as. To, like. Like. The uncle I went and played video games with was only. You know, he's only, like, 10 years older than me.
• 38:06
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 38:09
Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, so. So let's. Let's. Let's get back to the lecture at hand. Mr. Negan, how. How has the last two weeks been?
• 38:21
Speaker B: It's been. It's been really good. I. I think I said to you in, like, one of my texts or one of my emails that, like, I've definitely been here mentally before, but when you get kind of discouraged or depressed or whatever, it's kind of hard to find your way back. So, you know, it's good every once in a while to have, like, a really intentional time of, like, getting yourself back to believing things are possible and getting yourself back to, like, looking for opportunities and thinking and, you know, trying to create something and, you know, trying to accomplish something, you know, so it was really good. It was. It was.
• 39:13
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 39:14
Speaker B: I needed it, and. And I'm glad we did it.
• 39:17
Speaker A: Are you still getting up, getting dressed?
• 39:21
Speaker B: Yeah, I did. I did it today, but I. I was thinking, like, well, this is the last time I need to do this. I am dressing better out of the house, but I think I'm gonna. I'm not gonna put a polo on to sit on the couch anymore.
• 39:42
Speaker A: So you're. But were you sitting on the couch a lot, though? Or were you, like, filling. Did you find yourself filling your dead time with something that was benefiting you, either a book or audiobook or podcast?
• 39:56
Speaker B: Yeah, for sure. I ended up doing a lot of my work from the living room. We tried having my mom watch her intentionally for those blocks, but she would spend, you know, after 10 minutes, she would come knocking on my door and crying and stuff. So that just wasn't working. And leaving the house would have just been even more of a fiasco. I thought about just going to the library to work for my blocks, but then, you know, I'm leaving my mom in an even worse situation then. So I elected to just multitask it, But I was actually able to get a lot done and actually pretty much have those full blocks. So it wasn't as much of a hassle as I was expecting, which I think just even that. I think, like, little wins like that, like, reinforced the idea that, like, you're on a path that could work, you know.
• 40:59
Speaker A: Now, do you want to share the ideas you had and some of the struggles you face with these ideas or some of the. The roadblocks that popped up that you had to, like, pivot and. And look for other things.
• 41:14
Speaker B: Yeah, I don't know if I have so much of that. My. My original. Like, the first day. First day I listened to the Hyundai creator or the story of the Hyundai creator on that. On the Knowledge project, which you highly recommended. And that blew me away because, like, I just don't know why I didn't expect it to be crazy. You know, it's like, I've heard stories about billionaires before. Like, I get it, dude. Like, you. You overcame some kind of adversity. You ended up having some great ideas, and you made billions of dollars. Like, I get it, you know?
• 41:52
  Speaker A: And then.
• 41:53
Speaker B: Yeah, and then when I actually listened to it, I was like, whoa, okay. This is more of, like, a mindset thing where, like, he really jumped into shit, having no idea what he was doing, and just made it work. He worked tirelessly to make these things work. And that's. That was really good. Because my problem is I'll have an idea. I'll want to plan everything out, make sure I'm doing everything right before I, like, execute something.
• 42:26
Speaker A: And you're burnt out.
• 42:28
Speaker B: Yeah, I either get burnt out on it or I hit some snags, and I let that just be the roadblock that. That brings the trip to an end. So I decided I'm going to jump into things, even if I don't know what I'm doing, even if I don't know if it'll work, and I'm gonna take it as far as I possibly can to see if I can make something happen. And part of that was kind of defining, like, what is success and what is failure? For this, like, at what point do I say, okay, cut my losses, move on to the next idea? So I kind of had to do that so very first day, and I. I can't remember if it was day one or two, but I. I got my list of ideas together. I. I went to ChatGPT and I was like, hey, can you just tell me, like, all the business ideas that I've bounced off you like, that you've got in your memory? And I went through my journal a little bit, and I found, you know, like, one from a while ago. So I kind of made a list, and I said, like, okay, so this is the one I'm gonna pick. I'm gonna go with this one. And I'm just gonna do something every day to move this along. So. Very first day you wanted me, and don't get ahead of me because you're gonna figure this out pretty quick. But you wanted me to trim my mustache and put some wax in it. And I was like, okay, perfect, I'll do that. That's an easy first day. So I'm, I look for my wax. I don't have any. So I'm trimming it up. I go on Amazon and I, I'm looking for a wax. I pick one out and I thought that I had ordered it, but I, I guess I hadn't. So I told you that day. I was like, oh, yeah, it didn't have the wax, but I ordered it. So I find out later, oh, I didn't check out. That's still in my cart. But in the meantime, I had had the thought of like, hey, there was a time when I was a barber that I wanted to develop like a pomade and like beard products and stuff. And I was like, why don't I make a mustache wax? Like, let's, let's go to Chat gbt. Let's see how hard that is. Let's see, you know, I'm going to tell it everything I want out of it and let's see if it can give me a recipe. So it did. And I was like, okay, there we go. I'm not going to buy a mustache wax. I'm going to make it. So instead of buying the mustache wax, I bought all the stuff to make it in my kitchen. I got a good recipe from Chat gbt. I think the second or third one that I tried was exactly what I wanted and I made a few tins of it, so gave it to my brother in law to try. He loves it. He loves everything about it that I intentionally made it to be without even telling him that that's what I was doing, you know, like, which tells me, great, this is actually what I want it to be. Because I didn't need to tell him what it was supposed to be. Like, he, he just noticed that himself. And I'm, I'm talking to a guy about designing a logo and he told me that he wants to do it on spec, so I don't need to pay him for the commission work. He's just, if I like it, I'll buy it from him, but he's gonna do it free otherwise. So that's working out great. And I got my recipe, so I'm looking into label makers now. And then as soon as I've got something to put on the can, I'm gonna start giving out free samples to people with a QR code to the E commerce shop. So if you like it, you can just buy some. And that's what I'm gonna do. I'm just gonna jump in. I'm not gonna worry about, you know, business or, you know, having a license or anything. I'm just, I'm, you know, it's, it's. It actually falls into a category that is not a food, a drug, or a cosmetic. So there's very little legal issues with making a product like this. So I figure I can sell it online and, and work out the details of the LLC and the business license and all that stuff as I go. So. So yeah, rocketing toward that, I would say.
• 47:15
Speaker A: I'm proud of you, man. That's awesome. That's awesome.
• 47:20
Speaker B: Yeah, so that was, that was one idea. I. I didn't really have time.
• 47:27
Speaker A: So. Are you going through with that one?
• 47:29
Speaker B: I'm going through with that one. The other ones are not gone. They're just gonna take more capital to start. So I just kind of wanted to jump into this one because it had the lowest overhead and it was probably the easiest to do.
• 47:46
Speaker A: Do you want to share the other ones or no?
• 47:49
Speaker B: Yeah, I did last time I mentioned making like high quality journals that I looked into, and that's totally doable. I'm just gonna need some stuff. I can't quite remember all the stuff, but there's, there's tools for editing every part of that process. And you could probably do it a little more diy, but I'm looking to make like. I, I want, I want.
• 48:15
Speaker A: You want to do it? You quality.
• 48:16
Speaker B: I want you to pick this journal up and be like, how the did you make this? You know what I mean?
• 48:22
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 48:23
Speaker B: So. So I'm kind of, you know, wondering about that. I'm. I'm thinking about getting a few notebooks and like taking them apart and kind of experimenting with some stuff to just get an idea of how it all works. But yeah, so that idea is not going away. Let's see. I'd have to go back to my chat gbt. Oh yeah, there was this one I don't feel great about. It was an idea that I had, but I don't feel great about it because like, the thing with the journal is like, I am giving you something to archive your life with. And this is like a high quality handmade thing. The mustache wax is like, I'm giving you confidence. You look good. There's not a hair out of place. This idea, although maybe could work, is like, doesn't benefit anyone. So I don't, you know, want to go that way yet. But I, I do get ads all the time for fidget toys. Just shit with like random buttons on it and stuff. And so a few months ago, it was probably like beginning of the year, I asked ChatGPT like, hey, is there a way that I could 3D print a fidget toy that would be like a little miniature keyboard with like piano keys on it, but the piano keys would click, like like a mechanical keyboard. And it was like, yep, this is how you do it. And it just gave me like all the shit I would need to like upload to the 3D printer to like make that happen. So I was like, okay, so that's still worth considering because, like, if I could get a decently priced 3D printer, I can make a few of those, throw them up on an E commerce shop. I don't have to like pay a ton of attention to that idea if it's not my main business idea, you know, Like, I could, I could almost just throw that up on the side and just see how it does. But yeah, dude, it's like, once you get into this mindset, you really start looking for solutions to all the problems. And how do I provide that solution to people and products I would want, you know, like, I want a mustache wax that's not like super glue and doesn't have fragrance. I'm fucking sick of fragrance. I don't, I don't use fragrance anything, you know, but like, if you use a mustache wax, it's just, it's pretty potent, you know?
• 50:59
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 51:00
Speaker B: So I'm like, okay, how do I serve that need? And then I just get that information and I made it happen, you know? So once you start like looking for those opportunities everywhere, it's like kind of hard to shut off the ideas to like actually sit down and focus on one, you know? So that's, that's kind of why I, I chose one and just decided to go with that until I was at a place where I could step away enough to try to develop something else. But I wanna, I wanna do, you know, and this might be overly ambitious, but I want to try to be developing like five ideas at all times. And then as one kind of goes to a point of failure, I can prune that branch off and cultivate another idea that might be better, you know,
• 51:49
Speaker A: and always kind of one go to failure, not when, but if one does, we could prune it off.
• 51:57
Speaker B: Yeah, sure. And a huge part of that is
• 52:00
  Speaker A: like,
• 52:02
Speaker B: well, that's what I meant, that's what I meant. But like having clear parameters for like what do I consider failure? You know? And like with, with the mustache wax idea it was like well, I mean what is failure? I can make this stuff in my kitchen, I. It can sit on a shelf until I make a sale, you know. So like what is a failure? I decided, I don't know if I'm going to consider this a failure but like my first goal is I want to legitimately sell a can of this within 90 days.
• 52:38
Speaker A: Alright, so real quick, keep listening to the Knowledge project because so many of its guests are people who have these companies and you know the guy of robot Roblox or whatever it's called, talking to him, you know, he was like hey, so like was this an instant success? Like how did you guys launch this? And then the guy was like no, like certain things were failures. You have to know when to pull out. Like so in a lot of guys that he, a lot of guests that he interviews, he kind of draws that out to them on like hey, like for the average person like that that is wanting to achieve what you got, like how do you, like how do you handle failure? You know, container. Listen that. But two, you're gonna be hitting a lot of farmer. Farmers markets I bet to start out.
• 53:37
Speaker B: Yeah, I was thinking about that. I was thinking it would be great. What was that?
• 53:46
Speaker A: Oh sorry, I thought you were gonna say swap meet
• 53:49
Speaker B: something like that. Yeah, I'm trying to think if there's like something better suited to this in particular. And I think the only thing that would really be like this lane would be a barber expo. And that's not going to happen without a business license and probably some connections. But it just so happens that a good friend of mine used to work for a barber supply company and has a lot of connections with expos, conferences, barber shops, all that. Not to mention the fact that I'm still in touch with about 10 good friends from my barber college days who are all working in shops right now. So like I've that's a possible in to get my stocked in barbershop.
• 54:42
Speaker A: I think you're that all you're saying might be true. I actually think it's less than that. I think you think like most expos and conferences want your money so bad that they're like anybody and everybody can rent a booth here for the right price. I know a lot of whether it was for mortgage industry or whether it was for construction industry or for the school industry, a lot of the expos and conferences I was going to, All I really had to do was pay their fucking entrance fee. Like, not the entrance fee to get in, but like their, Their vendor fee. Yeah, yeah, vendor fee. Follow the rules and you know you're allowed in. That doesn't necessarily mean the schools are using you, but, you know, you. You get a chance to kind of offer your. Your stuff to them.
• 55:43
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And I'm not. I. It's just weird because it's like two weeks ago I would have thought of any reason not to pursue that, you know, Like, I even kind of just said it where I was like, ah, probably got to get a business license or something, you know, And. And you're right. Maybe there aren't those kind of roadblocks. So it's like, maybe I do need to just drive this car as close to the gate as I possibly can and not just assume that the gate is locked, you know?
• 56:13
Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. You have to drive up to it and then if it is locked now, you're in the mindset to find a solution.
• 56:19
Speaker B: Yeah, which, which even the things I already brought up, not insurmountable. I can get a business license. I can get some kind of health code check. I can get all that shit if I really work at it. So, like, I just need to find out what actually is going to prevent me from doing it and then get that solved, you know?
• 56:40
Speaker A: So if you're going to continue for the next two weeks, I would honestly suggest the next work day that you have that you would write these down. Okay. Like, you know, checkbox. Get. Get my. My business license. And then like, under that, because that's how I work. However it should be. Before that, the steps it takes to accomplish getting the business license. Call the city, look on this website, check it. And then, like, because I have that list, it bothers me not to have those boxes checked off. Like, there's something inside of me that gets annoyed. And so, like, even if it's one a day, I'll be like, all right, fuck it, I'll make the phone call. Cool. Check. But then even as I do that, it builds momentum and I start doing the other shit to actually accomplish that one task.
• 57:31
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, it snowballs. Because then it's like, once there's only three things left on the list that you haven't done, why not do those today? You know, like, it. It just sort of makes sense. So, yeah, so I was. I was talking to chat gbt and it, It's. It's so sad that I said Talking to. I was querying ChatGPT, and. And it said, if you're going to pursue multiple businesses, then definitely set up an LLC for all of your shit, including, like, the books and the music and stuff. Like, throw all that under one LLC and then, like, do DBAs for all the individual businesses. And I think those might be free. I might be confusing that with something else from my research, but. Yeah, so basically, you know, set up the parent company and then start getting everything set up underneath it. So I already kind of know, like, I need to do that first. So, like, that should be, you know, But. But again, it kind of came to, like, I don't want to get hung up on something not working in that area that discourages me from the actual work, you know? So, like, I want to focus on getting a product in people's hands just so that I have, like, a little bit of that momentum to get me to.
• 58:56
Speaker A: Well, that's gonna give you. That's gonna give you that fuel to be like, yeah, this is worth it. Because, like you said earlier, we'll sometimes get this idea, and then, like, we work on all the steps to prep for the main idea, and we get burnt out sometimes before we even get to the main idea, because we're like, dude, like, I got this roadblock, this roadblock, and I'm not even doing what I want to do, you know? And it's like. And then you find something else. Yeah.
• 59:28
Speaker B: And. And I'm. I'm very easily distracted when there's, like, a newer, shinier idea, you know? So, like, I just. I want to get something over the finish line. And just even selling one can of this would just make me feel like, yes, I've done this. This is something that is moving on its own now. Like, I can. I can work with this, you know?
• 59:51
Speaker A: Yeah. I'm going to take a left here. I'm going to. I'm going to. I'm going to drive. Drive around this, and I'm going to approach from a different way real quick. What, have you guys eaten out a lot this week?
• 1:00:04
  Speaker B: No, it's good.
• 1:00:07
Speaker A: You buy me. You do any shopping? You spend any cash this week? Any. Yeah, yeah. What'd you do?
• 1:00:15
Speaker B: I. I mean, I went to Trader Joe's. Let me see. Got gas.
• 1:00:28
Speaker A: Okay, that might be enough. Not frivolous spending.
• 1:00:34
Speaker B: No, no, I don't say I do that.
• 1:00:37
Speaker A: All right, that's. That's one. One strike. My wife.
• 1:00:39
Speaker B: My wife gets three Amazon packages on the door every day, but I don't know what that Stuff is
• 1:00:47
Speaker A: how much is my next spending?
• 1:00:49
Speaker B: It's just not for me.
• 1:00:51
Speaker A: How much are you, how much are all the tools that you need to start working leather bound journals?
• 1:01:00
  Speaker B: I don't know. Yeah. Is.
• 1:01:05
Speaker A: Is it something worth knowing?
• 1:01:09
  Speaker B: Yes.
• 1:01:10
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 1:01:10
Speaker B: For sure. Yeah, I, I was checked.
• 1:01:15
Speaker A: What was that you were saying earlier? You had checked. You're like, I checked and I cut you off.
• 1:01:20
Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I, I had chat GBT give me like the like list of things I would need and then kind of the steps on how to do it. And that's kind of when I pivoted. I, I should have probably just price checked that stuff. But there, there were a few it might have told me. Actually, I'm trying to remember because it was like two weeks ago.
• 1:01:44
Speaker A: I can't imagine it being over like $400.
• 1:01:48
Speaker B: Maybe not, but it, yeah, it was like, you'll need this piece of equipment to do this part. And it might have even said like, that'll run you, you know, this much. So I could check that I could see.
• 1:02:02
Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. If I were you, dude, I would definitely look into that because I think, I think that in the beard I get the fidget thing. The fidget thing though is a niche.
• 1:02:16
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 1:02:17
Speaker A: Audience. Even people that like to fidget though, like, That's even still niche inside of itself, you know, because you have like older people that don't necessarily want something that big to, to fidget. I don't know. Anyhow, the other two ideas though, I think are golden.
• 1:02:40
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 1:02:41
Speaker A: I think there's some good stuff that you can make some, some side money on and then eventually grow it into something that can provide and, and sustain your family for sure.
• 1:02:53
Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. And I looked into like having the wax manufactured like by a professional facility. It's not cost prohibitive really. Like, if I had some sales I could justify, you know, it'd be just a couple grand to get like a lot of product made. So, you know, if I had the momentum, if I had some sales, if I had some, you know, promising leads, I could definitely justify making that investment. And then, you know, I'm not making it in my kitchen.
• 1:03:31
Speaker A: And I'm so glad you didn't say you're making candles.
• 1:03:41
Speaker B: But now I could. Now I know.
• 1:03:47
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:03:47
Speaker B: So you wanted to talk about roadblocks. So I, my wife ended up finding out about just, just the wax. She didn't find out about like our whole arrangement for the two weeks, but she, she saw, you know, the products that I bought and, you know, knew I was doing it and stuff. So she asked what I was doing, and I was like, oh, you know, I'm mustache wax. And, you know, she saw 10 cans on the, on the counter, so she knew it wasn't just making it for myself. So she's like, what are you gonna do with it? And I'm like, well, you know, I was gonna make it for myself and just see if I could sell, sell it on the side. And dude, just. It's hilarious how anti entrepreneurial she is because she just immediately just goes like, how are you gonna keep cat hair out of it? And I'm like. And, you know, I, I was just like, I don't know yet. Like, I'm, I'm experimenting. And she's like, this house is like the definition of contamination. And I was like, yeah, I guess so. You know, I just sorta, I just, you know, I downplayed it just to get her out of the kitchen. And so then I went to ChatGPT and I was just like, hey, here's a criticism I'm getting. Just give me, like, three ideas to help with this. And it did, dude. So it's just like, okay, so I keep the oven fan on while I'm making it. That's gonna cut down on it. I shine a flashlight directly into the product in the can before it hardens. That will show me if there's any particles or anything in there. You know, I cover it up while I'm melting it. I cover it up while it's in the cooling, you know, and so it gave me just processes to, like, overcome that, that objection right away. So, you know, so it's just like, I took that possible roadblock where, you know, with another idea, I might have been like, yeah, yeah, she's right. Maybe I just shouldn't even bother with this and just found a way to improve what I was already doing.
• 1:06:04
Speaker A: That's awesome, dude. Like, automatically I first went to, like, a tent in the garage, and, and, and first I thought, how awesome would it have been for her to say, you know what? This isn't gonna work. Let's set you up somewhere, like, you know, in the garage, in the bedroom. Forgot who I was dealing with. And then. Yeah, but the fact that you went back to Chachi BT and fed the criticism to, to that. I, I, I know a lot of people, usually older people, are against chat, GPT and AI, and I really feel what people are saying is true. Like, if you don't learn how to work alongside of it and utilize it, you're going to be something of the Past. Yeah, like, literally, it took my project manager several hours over a couple of days to get like one or two requests for informations from a scope of work provided by a client. I took the scope of work provided by the client, uploaded it with the blueprint, and said, hey, scan the documents and create a list of requests for information. We call them RFIs. Create a list of RFIs for me to submit back to my client. Dude, it came up with like 47 within 6 minutes. Presented it on an Excel sheet, which I presented to my higher ups and they were like, this is awesome. They submitted my Excel sheet straight to the client. I was like, this, this can't get any better, bro. It took me six minutes. You got to get on board. So the fact that you went back and you were like, hey, here's the criticism. Give me some solutions. That's a, like, that is honestly what I started to live by. Just at the job site when people come up and they're like, this guy's doing this and we don't have nothing. And we. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm in the business of finding solutions, not, you know, pointing out, like, not stopping work. What's up, bro? What's up? What would you do? What do you think you should do? This is what I would do. Does that work for you? Does that work for you? Let's do it. Come on. Come on. Yeah, Anybody could say I can't do it because of xyz. You're not just anybody, bro. Like, you're a cool ass, dude. You, you, you're multi talented. You're very gifted, if I don't mind to say so myself. You've great good taste in women. Just in case she listens back on this afterwards, I made some threats in the last podcast. I just want to make sure I'm, I'm planting seeds now. So anyhow, I, I digress. Yeah, dude, you're, you're, you're, you're a multi talented, good dude. You're got a good sense of humor, you're witty, you know how to kind of deal with people. You keep selling yourself short. You got this, dude. You got this.
• 1:09:21
Speaker B: Thanks, man. Yeah, I appreciate you saying that. Yeah, it's. It's just one of those things where, like, I just need to keep her out of it and just of a success.
• 1:09:37
Speaker A: No, you know, no, no, no, we don't play that game. No, no, no, I think, no, no, we don't. We don't play that game. We don't play the game of no. Because that's where you end up. 20 years down the road, divorced and being like, man, if I would have just like, you know, no, dude, I am in one of the most healthiest places, you know, relationship wise, I've ever been. And a lot of it is, if it bothers you, say something, say something. You don't have to be a dick about it. But if, you know, next time she comes in, she's like, oh, my gosh, this is the epitome. I'd be like, look, look, look, look, look, I'm. I've looked into that. I. You know what? It was pointing out something that you didn't know. So I've been like, you know what? Damn, dude. Like, this is why I need you. Because you point out those things that I kind of over. I. I miss. I'm gonna go back and, and however, if it keeps up and it goes different, look, I could go back to being the dude that just sits on the couch. I go to the dude that's trying to. To do something. What. What do you want? Because you sound very unsupportive of both of those guys.
• 1:10:51
  Speaker B: Good point.
• 1:10:53
Speaker A: Just point it out and say, hey, look, I'm trying my best.
• 1:10:55
Speaker B: I mean, you're vulnerable, but conversations.
• 1:10:58
Speaker A: Yeah, but. But you're vulnerable, but you're. You're like, hey, it's. You have to believe that that is not a compromise. I'm your husband. Support me as I support you. That's not compromise. I'm not a dick to you. I don't beat you. I don't verbalize, verbally abuse you. Like, stop that. Stop, stop. Like, you, you can't go through that. And, and to be able to have conversations with Miami like that both ways, where it's like, hey, look, like, I'm coming to you. I'm being vulnerable and you're not. You're not there for me or whatever. I mean, that's. That's hurting me. I'm not. I'm not gonna voice mine, but my response is, you're. You have valid. You have a valid point. I can't really argue back. I become a fool to argue, to try and justify my actions would make me a fool. And I think a lot of people see that. So just to point out the fact that you're. You're focused on the fact that you. What you see here is I've wasted money. I'm giving away half of this to my friends, and I'm gonna sell the other half for $5 a can. It's not even a cover what I spend at the store. No, that is false. That's what you see. That's what you're coming in to see. And you're just like, ugh, this place sucks, man. This is a dirt hole. No, no, no, no. Let me show you what I see. You take out that little flashlight, you shine it over, you say, that's gold, bitch. That's gold. See that color? That's honey gold. You take, you let her know that's my fucking product.
• 1:12:34
Speaker B: Yeah, I wonder how that would go.
• 1:12:36
Speaker A: I just beard wax in America. Find out a word that says that.
• 1:12:43
Speaker B: I, I remember the first time that we had that conversation. It was. We were in Oklahoma and I was looking for a job. I had just decided I wasn't going to be a barber anymore. So I'm just looking for a regular job, but I'm like, still coming up with ideas. So I had this business idea that was like, all right, you've got all these churches where the pastor is doing everything. Like, he's just obsessed with like every little detail. You know, he's designing the bulletins while he's trying to write a sermon, you know?
• 1:13:22
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:13:23
Speaker B: I'm like, the, the church can't afford to bring on a part time employee and pay benefits and all that stuff. What if I was just like a virtual assistant to like, 15?
• 1:13:36
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:13:37
Speaker B: And it's just like, if you need me for two hours a week, cool. You're only gonna pay for two hours a week. This guy needs me for six, this guy for five, whatever. And I just spread out the work and I just do all the shit. I'll do the bookkeeping. You know, I've worked with accounting before. I can design all your. I do graphic design. I can, you know, I can proofread. Can do your social media. Like, I can, I've got experience and all that shit. Just hand it over to me and, and just pay for what you use. Don't keep me on 20 hours a week for nothing.
• 1:14:09
Speaker A: Like, you know, so you should create a flyer, professional looking flyer. Maybe put together a resume of how you did this stuff for a blue. A blue place. And then, you know, talk about your, your customer service and technical support background and then be like, hey, send it out to like five or 10 local pastors that you could get behind what I. And that way you. Oh, I'm sorry you did this. Go for it.
• 1:14:44
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. This was an idea that I tried to execute years ago. I ended up making just like a unlisted page on my website. With a video that was like a sales pitch for, like, what I was offering. And then, you know, some, some examples of some of my work below and stuff. And then I just sent the link to a few pastors, like, in the area we were living in. Didn't hear back from any. But the, the whole. The point of bringing that idea up and maybe that is an idea worth resurfacing and seeing if I could get that work. Get that to work. Now. I think AI probably has taken care of a lot of that workload if, if they're using.
• 1:15:26
Speaker A: Yeah, but, but, but here's the thing. One, don't send it from your personal email. I'll never click a link from a Gmail at a. On a work account. And most of those emails you probably sent were to the church pastor's church email. 1.
• 1:15:43
Speaker B: I think I sent it. I don't remember. It was probably different in every case. But anyhow, it was from my, my email through my website, so.
• 1:15:54
Speaker A: Perfect. Okay, so, yeah, I shouldn't say that,
• 1:15:58
Speaker B: but it was like my name@my name.com, you know, so, yeah, it looked better, but. But I. All that to say. I remember we were driving. I was driving her home from work one day, and I was telling her, like, oh, you know, I applied to this job and that job and this job. And then I also had this pretty cool idea, and I could probably even, like, still do this on the side even if I got a job. And I, like, told her the idea, and her response was, why are you so against getting a normal job? And I was like, what do you mean? She's like, why don't you just spend your time getting a real job instead of, like, coming up with all these ideas and, like, you know, wasting your time on this stuff? And I was like, well, I just, like, ultimately don't want to do that. Like, at the. At the end of the day, I don't really want to be clocking in and clocking out and just, you know, working for someone else. Like, I, I want to create something for myself.
• 1:17:08
Speaker A: Hey, why didn't you say all this when we were in Newport, bro? Like, you had enough of my family as witnesses that, yeah, she slipped and fell down the stairs. I mean, I didn't see anything else. You know what I'm.
• 1:17:30
Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. So anyways, like, we. We had that whole conversation and, and like, I. I remember saying to her, like, someday you're gonna clock out of your job and that's it. You're gonna get your last paycheck and all the work, all the time you spent for that company is over. With the money spent, you don't have a job now. You know, like, that's. That's how it's going to end. But like, if I create something like this, I might earn. You know, let's take my. But let's take the silliest example you can come up with. My. My self published book that's just sitting there. It's not making money, but it could, you know, like, anytime someone buys it, I make six bucks or whatever. So, like, I worked on that book, I got it out, and now it's just a potential money making thing for me. So, like, I finished that work years ago, but for years to come, I could collect money on it, you know? And like, that's how I want to work. I want to work on things that could make me money forever in. And I'm not again, I'm not opposed to getting a job to pay the bills. Like, that's not what I'm saying. I'm not like, totally opposed to that.
• 1:18:48
Speaker A: But you don't want to kill the ultimate dream.
• 1:18:51
Speaker B: Yes. It fucks with me that I will put in 40 hours a week, and when I'm done, that's it. Like all that time, all that investment, it just goes nowhere, you know? Like. Like there's no residual that you get from your, you know, office job from five years ago, you know?
• 1:19:13
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:19:13
Speaker B: So it's just. That's just how I've always wanted, you
• 1:19:16
Speaker A: know, who created this Excel sheet? Negan did. And every time we use it, he gets two bucks.
• 1:19:22
Speaker B: Dude. Dude. There are at. At at least two of the jobs I've had. There are procedures and Excel sheets and formulas and stuff that I wrote that I know they still use to this day, you know, so it's like, I understand. I was there for like an agreed upon amount of money and there was no, you know, but it's like, it does feel like, God, I did that work and you're still benefiting it.
• 1:19:49
  Speaker A: I have tenure.
• 1:19:50
  Speaker B: I didn't. You know what I mean?
• 1:19:53
Speaker A: Yeah. No, I get it, man. I get it. That sucks. But, hey, kudos for you for not letting that old broad discourage you.
• 1:20:02
Speaker B: Yeah, that was the lesson. Because, I mean, because when I think back on it, that probably was the turning point on, like, when I kind of stopped taking that idea seriously.
• 1:20:12
Speaker A: It's you, Charlie Kirk. Yeah.
• 1:20:16
Speaker B: Oh, my God. It's September 10th. Holy crap.
• 1:20:20
Speaker A: Yeah, dude, I didn't even know that. I just heard turning point and I was like, Charlie, Kirk over here.
• 1:20:26
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, it's the anniversary today.
• 1:20:30
  Speaker A: Wow, that's crazy.
• 1:20:31
Speaker B: Yeah, so, yeah. So anyway, so that's another like, huge mindset. Shift is just like, I'm not gonna let, gonna let criticism be constructive whether you meant it that way or not.
• 1:20:45
Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta, dude. Yeah, I welcome criticism because it shows me like, for instance, stretch marks got, got written up for safety, heavy safety. Like, he didn't expect the safety officer to show up. When she did, none of his people were like, being safe. And there was like people in there without hard hats vest. And she was like, dude, like, what are you doing? He's like, I don't know. You know, I. I know better, you know, I don't know. So I didn't hear about this. I call him and I'm like, hey, like, hey, like, come grab this safety board. I have an extra safety board. Go put it up at your job site. And I go, I have one in my job site. And he goes, okay. He goes, I'll stop by after work. And I'm like, oh, you just go get it now. Like, no one's down there. Like, you don't like, get it now before your day or get it tomorrow morning? Like in the morning, I'll just give it to you. And he's like, no, tomorrow morning I'm having a stand down. I'm like, for what? And he's like, oh, you know, like safety officer showed up and got me on this, this, this and this and, you know, wrote me up. And I was like, you serious, dude? He's like, yeah. I'm like, why'd you let this happen? He's like, oh, I don't know. You know, I, I knew I shouldn't and I was just letting it go. I was like, don't ever repeat that again. Like, make up something, but don't ever tell me you knew what was right and you chose not to do it. I was like, yeah, I, I said, I'm just letting you know now, I've already talked to the higher ups. If this happens, if this is consistent, you will be let go and I will be the one to personally fire you. I was like this, like, like you kind of represent me because a lot of people know I trained you and like, this is not what I trained. So fast forward, we're sitting there at the table and he's talking about like this couple days later, I think he was talking about how he was coping with it and dealing with it with what happened. He was like, yeah, you know, I went home and I was mad at first, and I was like, you know, I was talking to my girl, and I was like, you know, Tony Robbins is all like, he comes in late, and, you know, and. And you know, this. Then he goes. And I was just trying to find reasons to, like, blame what I did on somebody else. Now, mind you, I called myself Tony Robbins there. But that's. That's what he said. And I was like, okay. And I kind of. I didn't address it. I let it go. And I was like. It ate at me, bro. And I was like, okay. All this week, I'm like, I'm not even coming in two minutes late. Like, I'm gonna be there every day on time. Like, I now know he keeps record of the times I've been late. Now, mind you, there are times where I'm like, you know what? He's there. He's a capable man. I'm coming in at six, bro, not coming at five. I'm tired. You know, that's the luxury I get for the work I put in. So, yeah, I had to address it today. I was like, oh, hey, dude, like, you. You made that comment of the day. And he was like, oh, no, I was just. I was like, do you talk about me when I'm not around? You talk. You talk about me to old porn king? He's like, no. I was like, just tell me, dude. Just tell me if you do. Just own up to it. He was like, no, no, no, no. All right, man. So. Mm.
• 1:24:17
Speaker B: Yep. Now it is. It is funny when someone lets a comment like that slip by, and you're like, oh, okay. You're keeping score. Okay, now I get it. Thought we were friends.
• 1:24:30
Speaker A: No, but I thought you'd. You would recognize your position. You know what I mean? Like, you're the grunt. You know, Like, I keep a clean space. I keep my job going. I don't need to be here. You don't have a you. I have a you. You get to do the I don't want to do. You don't have a you don't have a you. You know what I mean? Like,
• 1:24:55
  Speaker B: you're my you.
• 1:24:57
Speaker A: Yeah, dude. Like, you know, I put in the work. I. I trained you. I, I. I have other shit that goes on. Yeah, there's a day or two or three or four or five. I don't give a fuck if it's all 10. I might come in at 6am Because I'm tired, you know, Get a you. Get in a position where you can have a you. You can do the Same shit.
• 1:25:20
Speaker B: There was this time at. At my old job where I. So I would always write on my lunch break. I would probably eat at my desk, like, while I'm working. And then I would just spend my whole lunch break writing. And there were these conference rooms. Like, you know, every sixth door is a big conference room, and it's just empty. No one's in there. So I was like, okay, I'm going to go sit down in here and write. You know, like, I didn't think anything of it. I was just like, I'm a man who works here. Sitting down, writing with a pen like that.
• 1:25:59
Speaker A: Yeah. In a quiet space.
• 1:26:01
Speaker B: Yeah. That doesn't seem unprofessional to me or whatever.
• 1:26:04
Speaker A: No, it's a professional way to say, I'm not going to sit at my desk because you are going to talk to me and come up and ask questions. So I'm doing it here to show you guys in a professional way. This is my lunchtime alone time. Yeah, gotcha.
• 1:26:20
Speaker B: That's exactly what it was. And then my boss and the CEO came in one day because they were like, hanging pictures in there or something, and they just saw me in there and I, you know, just, oh, hey, what's going on? Hey, what are you doing? Just writing whatever. Didn't think anything of it. And. And then my boss asked me later, like, hey, do you always, like, go right in there? And I'm like, ah, you know, yeah, sometimes, like, if I don't want to, you know, if people are talking in the lunchroom, I'd prefer to just sit in a quiet spot. And he's like, oh, okay. And I'm like, is the CEO, like, not like that. He's like, no, he didn't say anything. But, you know, if he. If he does, I'll just tell him that, you know, you're writing and it's no big deal. I'm like, okay, cool. This guy's got my back. So maybe a day or two later brings it up in a staff meeting with, like, six or seven of us. And he tried to make it sound general, but everyone knows I'm the only one who does that. So he just brings up like, oh, hey. And going forward, like, conference rooms are for meetings only, you know, so, like, don't go in there and read or write or anything. So I. Instead of just taking my licks and just accepting, like, yeah, I probably knew I couldn't do that. I just, I started to argue it a little bit, and I. I got to the point of saying that, like, There are definitely people in this company who could go in there and do what I do, and they would not be bothered. And. And they. My boss tried to deny that. And so I mentioned, we'll call him Jay, second in command of the whole company. And I was like, you think Jay could go into a conference room and sit and write? And. And the CEO would bother him about that. And first of all, Jay's got a huge office. He doesn't need to do that. But, like, you know, just for the sake of conversation. So what I'm trying to point out is that this is very, like, kind of elitist thing that you're doing. Like, it's only because it's me. You know what I mean? Like, it's. There's certain people who could do this, and then this girl. And you can. We're gonna keep her name in this because she almost got me fired once. Her name's Laura. Laura speaks up and she goes like, oh, no. I mean, like, I think pretty much anyone would probably be asked, like, what they're doing in there if they were alone. Like, I don't think I could just go in there and write and not be bothered. And I was like, laura, you're on my level. The reason. The reason you would be bothered is because are not an elite. Do you understand that? Yeah. She almost got me fired because of Celebrity Death Pool. Hey, guys. Just wanted to break in here and let you know we had some technical issues and the rest of this episode was lost. But we'll be back with you next week. Thank you for listening to Pseudonyms.
