- 0:29What is going on, everybody?
- 0:32Welcome to the Clyde Zone
- 0:34Media Weight Loss Journey.
- 0:36Another week in, another week recovered.
- 0:39I love it.
- 0:40I don't know where we're at.
- 0:42Yeah.
- 0:44It's time for another week.
- 0:45How's the weather up there today?
- 0:46Not bad.
- 0:49If you look out the window,
- 0:50you think it's the first day of spring.
- 0:54You think it's full spring.
- 0:55You're going to go out in
- 0:56your shorts and your tank top.
- 0:58And you walk out and the
- 0:59wind will rip you apart.
- 1:01You know what's funny?
- 1:03It's really windy here, too.
- 1:04It's actually,
- 1:06the weather's beautiful today,
- 1:07but it's really windy.
- 1:08Like, annoying windy.
- 1:10It's a cold wind.
- 1:12Yeah, we have a cold wind, too,
- 1:13but our cold wind is
- 1:15beautiful wind for you.
- 1:16You'd be, like, in heaven right now.
- 1:18So, for sure.
- 1:19It's a good time of year in Florida.
- 1:21Corey says what I'm feeling.
- 1:23Hey, Judy.
- 1:25Hey, Holly.
- 1:25Hey, Corey.
- 1:26What a gentleman.
- 1:28Just addressing everybody.
- 1:30What a nice guy.
- 1:32Yeah.
- 1:33That goes my sentiment.
- 1:34It's freezing and windy here in Columbus.
- 1:36Yeah.
- 1:36So you let's, let's just start with that.
- 1:38You and Judy met up last week, correct?
- 1:40We did first day back at the gym.
- 1:45First day back at the gym.
- 1:47Oh, how was it?
- 1:49Judy is straight up savage.
- 1:53Is that a compliment?
- 1:55She killed the workout.
- 1:57So that's a compliment.
- 1:58yeah yeah yeah okay I've met
- 2:00judy before so like she
- 2:03came to masters fitness
- 2:04collective she cheered on
- 2:06corey cheered on jamie uh
- 2:09so we got to hang out there
- 2:11but man she's fit yeah
- 2:14that's why being called a
- 2:15savage you can kind of take
- 2:16that one of two two ways
- 2:18you know like in my head
- 2:20you you picture like the
- 2:21like the tarzan person like
- 2:24oh you know like just ravaging the food
- 2:28So I do have to say at the
- 2:30end of the workout,
- 2:31so we go back and my first
- 2:33workout back was a 40 minute workout.
- 2:35I'm like, wow.
- 2:38Judy asked me like,
- 2:39what have you done to me?
- 2:40Yeah.
- 2:42And so when it was all over, she said,
- 2:44we need to do this every couple of weeks.
- 2:47Um,
- 2:47but let's look at the workout before we
- 2:49decide.
- 2:49I love it.
- 2:51Yeah.
- 2:53Well,
- 2:54So you went back to the gym on Thursday,
- 2:57and I know that that was
- 2:58kind of taking you into the weekend.
- 2:59Did you get another workout
- 3:01in there at all since Tuesday?
- 3:03I did Friday.
- 3:04Awesome.
- 3:05And what was your workout on Friday?
- 3:07The open.
- 3:08Oh, that's right.
- 3:09So did you do the workout?
- 3:10I did.
- 3:11What did you end up doing for scaling?
- 3:14I did a 15-pound empty barbell.
- 3:18Okay.
- 3:19And ring rows.
- 3:21Love it.
- 3:22And so first of all,
- 3:24Thursday crushed my legs.
- 3:26Yeah.
- 3:27Crushed them.
- 3:29Then to do thrusters,
- 3:30even with a 15 pound empty
- 3:31barbell hurts so bad.
- 3:34Yeah.
- 3:35Um, so I, I,
- 3:38I got through the first five
- 3:39rounds and that's about it.
- 3:41Got it.
- 3:43Well, I think Brooke Wells and Tia to me.
- 3:46Well, just to give you like,
- 3:48think about that's 50 reps
- 3:51of 100 reps more than
- 3:53you've done in a long time
- 3:55and two days in a row of
- 3:57pretty high volume.
- 3:58So that's a lot.
- 3:59And then what was your weekend like?
- 4:01Did you get any fitness in
- 4:02over the weekend?
- 4:03So I did something Sunday in my garage.
- 4:07And then I took yesterday
- 4:11and today off because work has been.
- 4:12What did you do Sunday?
- 4:14Okay.
- 4:15I just did a little 2159 of
- 4:18the bike cause I needed to
- 4:19get some lactic acid moving.
- 4:22And then, and then I did a sandbag cleans.
- 4:26Okay.
- 4:27And then I got back on the
- 4:29bike when I was done just
- 4:30to like super slow, just a flush.
- 4:34Got it.
- 4:35Gotcha.
- 4:35Well, how are you doing your steps?
- 4:37Cause for some reason on my Apple health,
- 4:39when I try and look at your,
- 4:41stuff like it's it's giving
- 4:43me like your averages not
- 4:44your actual dailies and I'm
- 4:46trying to figure out what
- 4:47I'm looking at wrong um how
- 4:48have you been doing with
- 4:49your steps I've been okay
- 4:51um hit seven a couple times
- 4:54um and then a couple times
- 4:56it doesn't but what's
- 4:58bizarre is like I went to
- 4:59watch rudy do the open on
- 5:01saturday and I took
- 5:03pictures the whole time
- 5:03like I was on my feet
- 5:05moving for a good hour plus
- 5:08and it barely registered any steps for me
- 5:11Yeah, when you're standing, it won't.
- 5:13Well, I wasn't just standing.
- 5:15I was moving all around in the rig.
- 5:18Even me,
- 5:20I'll be cooking in my kitchen and
- 5:23I'm standing and moving around,
- 5:24but it's just not
- 5:25registering as actual steps.
- 5:27It's fine.
- 5:28That happens sometimes.
- 5:29I believe that you're
- 5:30probably on your feet.
- 5:32And or I also notice if I'm
- 5:35like pushing a cart in Publix,
- 5:38That's a grocery store for
- 5:39all of y'all that aren't from Florida.
- 5:42It doesn't register if
- 5:44you're pushing the cart.
- 5:46I'm wondering if it's from
- 5:48me holding the camera.
- 5:50Yeah, it could be.
- 5:51Because like I said,
- 5:52when I'm pushing the cart,
- 5:54it doesn't register.
- 5:55So just kind of funny.
- 5:58But anyways, so all right.
- 6:01So that's good.
- 6:01We got you back in the gym.
- 6:03And but so let's get you
- 6:05back in the gym this week again.
- 6:06I know that work is busy.
- 6:08Already committed to
- 6:09tomorrow and Thursday.
- 6:11Awesome.
- 6:11Did you get any gym fitness?
- 6:13Did you get any fitness in at home?
- 6:14You said you took this week off so far,
- 6:15right?
- 6:16Nothing in?
- 6:16Well, I worked out Sunday.
- 6:18Yeah.
- 6:18So just Monday, Tuesday rest.
- 6:20Yeah.
- 6:20So you're going to work out
- 6:21the rest of the week probably.
- 6:22Yeah.
- 6:23Did it feel good to get back
- 6:24in the community again?
- 6:26It did.
- 6:27It did.
- 6:28Good.
- 6:29The only weird thing is my
- 6:31coach wanted to talk to me
- 6:32so much because his dad had AFib.
- 6:35They're like in the middle of my workout,
- 6:37he's trying to ask me questions.
- 6:41It's funny.
- 6:42I was thinking about that
- 6:43because we'll go back into
- 6:45you in a second.
- 6:46We're having issues with the lawn, uh,
- 6:49the lawns at our, at my, in my community,
- 6:53a lot of the grass is like dying.
- 6:55And at first I thought they
- 6:57weren't turning on the irrigation.
- 6:59But my neighbor comes over
- 7:00and tells me yesterday or no Saturday,
- 7:02she's like, Hey,
- 7:04I just want to let you know
- 7:04that the reason the grass
- 7:06is dying is because there's no soil.
- 7:08It's all sand underneath the grass.
- 7:10And so it's dying.
- 7:12So the reason I'm telling
- 7:13you this is because I'm in
- 7:14the middle of getting ready
- 7:15to start 12 by 500 meter.
- 7:17growing in intervals and
- 7:19like y'all know how painful
- 7:20growing intervals get and
- 7:22she doesn't understand
- 7:24crossfit so she's coming
- 7:25over and she's like
- 7:26starting to talk to me
- 7:26about the freaking lawn and
- 7:28I've got my headphones in
- 7:30and I can't hear and I'm on
- 7:31like a one minute rest I'm
- 7:32like listen lady I can't
- 7:34talk to you and I felt so
- 7:35rude but if you just don't
- 7:36understand crossfit
- 7:38you don't understand it.
- 7:39And then she's still trying
- 7:40to talk to me about getting it.
- 7:42I'm like, I'm like, I'm sorry.
- 7:44I can't figure out how to
- 7:46turn my headphones down.
- 7:47I can't hear a word you're saying.
- 7:48Cause I really couldn't,
- 7:50but it's just funny.
- 7:51Cause nobody gets it when
- 7:52they're not in the CrossFit world.
- 7:53Like we just don't stop and
- 7:54talk in the middle of our workouts.
- 7:56So.
- 7:57Yeah.
- 7:57And I think,
- 7:58I think he was worried about
- 8:00me and just keeping a close eye on me
- 8:03And so he was coming over to ask me like,
- 8:06cause his dad had just gone
- 8:08through it and wanted to
- 8:09make sure like I was okay.
- 8:11But yeah.
- 8:12Can I just,
- 8:13can I just take a little detour
- 8:14and tell Kenneth that he
- 8:16must've went to the wrong
- 8:17Publix because a pub sub is like,
- 8:20that's like one of the best things.
- 8:22If you come to Florida and
- 8:23you've never had a pub sub
- 8:25before you're missing out, Kenneth,
- 8:27I just don't,
- 8:28I don't know that we can be
- 8:29friends that crusty bread.
- 8:32It's just.
- 8:34It's amazing.
- 8:35I just, you know,
- 8:36I don't know what kind of pub sub you had,
- 8:38but did you ever have a pub
- 8:40sub when you lived in Florida?
- 8:42I don't think so.
- 8:43Oh, man.
- 8:44The bread.
- 8:44First of all,
- 8:45the bread is it might as well
- 8:46be a loaf of French bread.
- 8:47That's pretty much what they give you.
- 8:49It's probably about the
- 8:51bread alone is probably about 100 carbs.
- 8:54But they're just something
- 8:56about them sandwiches, man.
- 8:57I don't know what they put in on this.
- 8:59It's a good sub, but.
- 9:02So Damien has had the
- 9:04interruption during his
- 9:04CrossFit workout of solicitors.
- 9:07Well, that happened to me too that day,
- 9:08but I was stretching,
- 9:09so it wasn't a big deal.
- 9:11I'm getting a lot of people
- 9:13coming to my house to sell me things,
- 9:15like bug spray and lawn
- 9:17care and water stuff.
- 9:19And did you hear about the
- 9:20FPL bills going up?
- 9:22You should invest in solar.
- 9:24And I'm in the middle of stretching,
- 9:26and the guy doesn't want to interrupt me.
- 9:27So he says...
- 9:29Do you mind if I knock on
- 9:29the door and see if your
- 9:30husband's available?
- 9:31I'm like, I don't have a husband.
- 9:34Oh, surprising.
- 9:35I'm like, why is that surprising?
- 9:38Like the guys are trying to
- 9:39make conversation, but I'm like,
- 9:40why is it surprising?
- 9:41I'm like, I'm not.
- 9:43So anyways,
- 9:44but that's when I swing my
- 9:45kettlebell and say I have grip issues.
- 9:47Yeah.
- 9:48I tell my mom about it.
- 9:49My mom's like, Cheryl,
- 9:50you never tell somebody
- 9:51that you're not married.
- 9:52That's dangerous.
- 9:54I'm like, dude, do you know who I am?
- 9:57Just some funny stuff.
- 10:00Look, lady,
- 10:00I'm about to die on this rower.
- 10:02And I'd much rather do it
- 10:03without you yapping in my ear.
- 10:04That's literally how I felt.
- 10:07I was like, oh my God, woman,
- 10:08please shut up.
- 10:08Please shut up.
- 10:11But I get a lot of... I mean,
- 10:12I walk on my hands on my sidewalk.
- 10:14So I get all kinds of people
- 10:16asking me questions about
- 10:17what I'm doing around here.
- 10:18I'll be pushing my sled.
- 10:19And the construction worker's like, you go,
- 10:21girl.
- 10:22And I'm like, thanks.
- 10:24Thanks, cheerleaders.
- 10:26But...
- 10:26Anyways.
- 10:27So, all right.
- 10:29Back to what this is about.
- 10:30Scott's weight loss journey.
- 10:32So we're getting you back in the gym.
- 10:35Weight trends are looking good.
- 10:37How are you?
- 10:39Good.
- 10:40Yeah.
- 10:41Good.
- 10:42They look consistent.
- 10:45They look great.
- 10:46They do look great.
- 10:47How are you feeling?
- 10:49Let me ask you this.
- 10:50Are you noticing feeling differently?
- 10:53Yes.
- 10:54Hunger?
- 10:55Cravings?
- 10:57energy definitely hunger yep
- 11:00um not necessarily cravings
- 11:03um but I feel I just feel
- 11:08like my joints just feel
- 11:09better my everything feels
- 11:12better even sore after a
- 11:13couple days of working out
- 11:15I felt better well the
- 11:17movement is medicine I will
- 11:18say that um for sure I'm
- 11:21seeing a lot more whole
- 11:22grains looks like you're
- 11:23starting to make your own
- 11:25English muffin sandwiches in the morning,
- 11:27which is good.
- 11:27Seeing some veggies, some fruit.
- 11:32Just bought whole grain bagels.
- 11:34Yeah, pizza's your thing.
- 11:35It looks like you're getting
- 11:36in on the... You had pizza
- 11:37for Friday night dinner?
- 11:38Yeah, and then leftovers on Sunday.
- 11:42Yeah,
- 11:42but you did have... You also did have
- 11:44your salad with it, which I like.
- 11:46Listen,
- 11:46here's the thing is a lot of people
- 11:48like to think about what
- 11:49they're removing from their diet.
- 11:51And, you know, life is all about balance.
- 11:54And if you're eating...
- 11:5580% of your diet is coming
- 11:58from lean proteins, fruits, vegetables,
- 12:00and things like that.
- 12:00You should be able to
- 12:01incorporate some pizzas and
- 12:03things like that.
- 12:04But more importantly,
- 12:05what people should be
- 12:05thinking about when they're
- 12:06having those things is
- 12:08trying to balance it out
- 12:10with more of those nutrients.
- 12:12So I love the fact that on
- 12:13Saturday when you did log it,
- 12:15I also see a salad with that as well,
- 12:18which makes me happy.
- 12:19So it's funny,
- 12:23the name of your chicken sausage is
- 12:25It says Seymour.
- 12:26That's what it says.
- 12:30Oh, wow.
- 12:31Like Seymour.
- 12:32Like, I don't know.
- 12:33I just wasn't there like an old movie,
- 12:35like a joke about like Seymour, Seymour.
- 12:37Well, there was a, there was a cartoonish.
- 12:40Yes.
- 12:42Seymour, the C6C monster.
- 12:44No, there was one also like Seymour butts.
- 12:47Oh, what is that from?
- 12:49I can't remember, but it's yes.
- 12:51Kevin remembers.
- 12:52I don't know.
- 12:53I'm feeling old right now,
- 12:54but I can't remember.
- 12:56Um, oh, is it from the Simpsons?
- 13:00I don't know.
- 13:01It might've been from the Simpsons.
- 13:03I might be thinking of the Simpsons.
- 13:05If y'all remember that show
- 13:06now I'm really aging myself, but yeah.
- 13:09Cheryl.
- 13:10Is it really like new?
- 13:11Yeah.
- 13:13Like,
- 13:14like new there's new there's oh my gosh.
- 13:16Wow.
- 13:17Um, see, I was right.
- 13:19See, Judy even says it too.
- 13:20I was right.
- 13:21The Simpsons.
- 13:21Okay.
- 13:22Yeah, it's funny.
- 13:23The name of your chicken
- 13:24sausage just says Seymour.
- 13:26It just made me think of that.
- 13:27But I'm seeing sweet potatoes.
- 13:31I'm seeing homemade pizza with the lavash.
- 13:33Chicken shawarma.
- 13:35Was that homemade or did you
- 13:36get that somewhere?
- 13:37HelloFresh.
- 13:39Oh, how is that?
- 13:41It was really good.
- 13:43I've actually never had that,
- 13:44but I know a lot of people
- 13:44that like that stuff.
- 13:47So overall, looking really good.
- 13:50Seeing some popcorn in there,
- 13:51which I like.
- 13:54I like the fiber.
- 13:55People often don't realize that popcorn,
- 13:58especially if you're making it yourself,
- 14:00guys, it's just corn kernels.
- 14:02And you can literally air pop it.
- 14:04In fact,
- 14:05super good hack is if you take
- 14:07your popcorn kernels and
- 14:09you put them in a paper bag,
- 14:11you can make your own microwave popcorn.
- 14:13That's all you need.
- 14:16So don't you make popcorn, Scott?
- 14:18Or do you buy it?
- 14:19Yeah, you make it.
- 14:20How do you make yours?
- 14:21Do you have an air popper or do you?
- 14:24Uh, so I have, uh, it's a,
- 14:28it's a contraption that you
- 14:30put them in and you have
- 14:31the arm that stirs the
- 14:33kernels and then it's just
- 14:35starts popping and you flip
- 14:37it over and the top is a bowl.
- 14:39Well, that's fancy,
- 14:40but literally all you need
- 14:41is a paper bag.
- 14:4230 bucks on Amazon.
- 14:45I'm serious.
- 14:46You take a paper bag and you can, you can,
- 14:48if you want to,
- 14:49you can spray them with
- 14:50like cooking spray.
- 14:51It's going to add a little bit of fat,
- 14:52whatever.
- 14:53Put a little butter in there
- 14:54if you want to.
- 14:55Salt, you can make your own like caramel,
- 14:57whatever kind of corn you want to make.
- 14:59Put that in the microwave
- 15:01and it pops just like you would.
- 15:03But popcorn's really high in fiber.
- 15:05There's like, I think per,
- 15:07about per 25 grams of carbs,
- 15:09I think there's four or
- 15:09five grams of fiber in it.
- 15:10So it's a pretty good source
- 15:12of carbohydrates, people.
- 15:14So.
- 15:15So Judy wants to know the
- 15:17deets of my weight loss.
- 15:19Okay.
- 15:19I'm going to put it to you
- 15:20in this framework.
- 15:22So I went to the doctor on Friday.
- 15:24Even more?
- 15:25Had a huge bill of health.
- 15:28Like, things are going great.
- 15:30Keep up the good work.
- 15:32On their scale,
- 15:32I'd lost 14 pounds since
- 15:35the first time I met with
- 15:36her just three weeks ago.
- 15:37That's awesome.
- 15:41So the same has happened
- 15:42pretty much on my scale.
- 15:44It is around,
- 15:45it's like 13 point whatever pounds.
- 15:48I'm at 285.6 pounds.
- 15:52let's just go ahead and do this.
- 15:55I'll just pull it up for them to see.
- 15:56Y'all can see Scott's progress right here.
- 16:00That's what things are going on.
- 16:03We're seeing this nice trend down, uh,
- 16:06which I like,
- 16:08obviously it probably will
- 16:10start to slow down a little
- 16:11bit as life gets back to routine.
- 16:13Whenever we have big changes,
- 16:15we're going to see big changes.
- 16:16It's just the way it is.
- 16:17If you make big drastic changes,
- 16:18you're going to see a big drastic change.
- 16:19And I think you had,
- 16:21a bunch of things all at
- 16:22once between medication changes, between,
- 16:25you know,
- 16:26your life just kind of being
- 16:27turned upside down.
- 16:28We're making a lot of
- 16:28nutrition changes right now
- 16:30with the fiber, with the veggies,
- 16:32but things are looking good again.
- 16:34I feel like we're back in
- 16:36that smooth and consistent pace.
- 16:39I like the term great better than good.
- 16:41Yeah.
- 16:42Well, I like thinking about,
- 16:45here's the deal is I'm always like,
- 16:49What I want to say is the
- 16:53reason I don't like to get
- 16:55hyper things are going
- 16:56great is because I don't
- 16:59fully think that we should
- 17:00be so up and down with a
- 17:05weight loss journey,
- 17:06whether it's going good or going bad.
- 17:08Does that make sense?
- 17:09Meaning like it's good to
- 17:11celebrate the wins,
- 17:13but we have to realize that
- 17:16oftentimes when we
- 17:17celebrate the wins and we're like,
- 17:18things are awesome.
- 17:20We often tend to do the exact opposite,
- 17:22the exact same thing when
- 17:25things aren't going so good.
- 17:28So the reason I say great is
- 17:30not just about the weight loss.
- 17:32Yeah.
- 17:33The reason I say great is
- 17:34five weeks ago I was in ICU.
- 17:36Yep.
- 17:38And where I'm at today is great.
- 17:41Agreed.
- 17:43Yes, I would agree.
- 17:44Not just the weight, but the way I feel,
- 17:47the way I'm able to move,
- 17:49the way I'm able to sleep.
- 17:50All of that stuff has
- 17:52changed dramatically.
- 17:53And I'm feeling great.
- 17:56And I love that.
- 17:56And I want you to say that.
- 17:57But I don't want it to be like, oh,
- 17:59things are going great because of scale.
- 18:01Because I like that.
- 18:02But I also think that.
- 18:03And I love Corey.
- 18:04I don't know what it means
- 18:05to be Joe Biden because I
- 18:07don't pay attention to politics.
- 18:08But I'm not thinking that's a good thing.
- 18:10So everything is awesome.
- 18:12Everything is cool when
- 18:13you're part of a team.
- 18:14I would a hundred percent agree.
- 18:16So, and that's the thing,
- 18:17what Judy just said,
- 18:19you're telling me things are going great.
- 18:22I'm not telling you things are great.
- 18:24Like I want,
- 18:25I love that your feedback is good.
- 18:27That's what I actually want.
- 18:28And you did an open workout,
- 18:29which is awesome.
- 18:30So really good.
- 18:33So what do you have going on this week?
- 18:35You're going to get
- 18:36So workouts into the gym Polaris.
- 18:38Yep.
- 18:38Right.
- 18:39Okay.
- 18:39So noon,
- 18:40noontime is going to be your time.
- 18:41Yep.
- 18:43And I actually,
- 18:44last week I took the
- 18:46initiative to block out the
- 18:48noontime on my calendar.
- 18:50So nobody will schedule me in the future.
- 18:51I love it.
- 18:52I have to like,
- 18:53I had to get rid of a
- 18:54meeting yesterday and today.
- 18:57Well,
- 18:57Tuesdays are going to be the round
- 18:58table all the time, but right.
- 19:01And then,
- 19:02so now that'll be free for me
- 19:04going forward.
- 19:05Awesome.
- 19:06Um, how is your blood sugar?
- 19:10It is in the one twenties now.
- 19:11Okay.
- 19:12That's good.
- 19:13Dropping about 10 points a week.
- 19:15Okay.
- 19:16And she's super,
- 19:17she was so excited about
- 19:17that that she's already
- 19:19talked about like backing
- 19:21off the insulin.
- 19:22Good.
- 19:23Um,
- 19:24what we just have to get down like
- 19:25another 10 points and then
- 19:27backing it off two units at a time.
- 19:30So you can get rid of that
- 19:32and then it'll be getting
- 19:33rid of the metformin.
- 19:35Yes.
- 19:35Which I really want you to get off of.
- 19:37That's medication is
- 19:40literally something that we
- 19:44could go into a whole nother topic on,
- 19:46but it is what it is.
- 19:47It is nothing you can do about it.
- 19:50So you're just going to get off of it.
- 19:52So and heart and everything
- 19:54like that is going good
- 19:55with being back in the gym.
- 19:57Yeah.
- 19:58Um,
- 19:59like I'm still making sure I'm not like
- 20:01cranking the heart rate way
- 20:02up anymore or right now.
- 20:05I mean, um,
- 20:07so I'm trying to keep it like
- 20:08one 20 is like, you know what I mean?
- 20:12Okay.
- 20:13That's, that's good.
- 20:14That's like a zone two ish.
- 20:16Right.
- 20:16And then as I keep going,
- 20:19I'll leak it up a little bit at a time.
- 20:21Well, and here's when,
- 20:22when we're measuring,
- 20:23when we're thinking about
- 20:25progress being made in the gym, um,
- 20:28heart rate isn't really what
- 20:30dictates that.
- 20:30Right.
- 20:31So it's like,
- 20:32I know it's really easy as
- 20:33CrossFitters for us to get
- 20:34focused on like the
- 20:36intensity and how hard I'm,
- 20:38how fast I'm going.
- 20:40And am I, you know,
- 20:42getting that intensity piece,
- 20:43but honestly it's,
- 20:45that doesn't give you the
- 20:47results that just like
- 20:48consistent strength
- 20:49training and moving well
- 20:52and moving through sets
- 20:54with the intended stimulus of like,
- 20:56I'm getting 10 unbroken reps.
- 20:58You know,
- 20:59I'm doing that stuff is so much better.
- 21:01You could EMOM your way fit,
- 21:03like seriously,
- 21:04it's not going to be competitive,
- 21:06but it's going to keep you
- 21:08in a good place.
- 21:09You know what I'm saying?
- 21:10Like you can back off the
- 21:11intensity and make a lot of
- 21:12gains in your fitness and
- 21:14in your strength,
- 21:15in your mobility and all that stuff,
- 21:18the intensity piece is like
- 21:20the top icing on the cake, you know,
- 21:22but that's not really what
- 21:24creates the results.
- 21:25That's what creates that.
- 21:27Okay.
- 21:27Now I have a new level that
- 21:29I've reached and now my
- 21:31percentage just have to go
- 21:32off a higher number, which sucks.
- 21:34That's what I always feel like, you know,
- 21:36like you had a new 2k road
- 21:38time and now you're like,
- 21:39all my road times are going to go,
- 21:41go faster.
- 21:42You hit a new back squat PR,
- 21:43a new snatch PR,
- 21:44you're like 90% my old one rep now.
- 21:47It's like, that's the stuff that, you know,
- 21:49comes with that, but that doesn't,
- 21:51you don't need that to get
- 21:52fit and to be healthy, you know?
- 21:54So, um, in fact, I'm, uh, debating,
- 21:58I'm doing my level four and
- 22:00I was just kind of earlier
- 22:01today going through the old
- 22:02journal and there was one
- 22:03of the level one journals
- 22:04was talking about the whole
- 22:06Um, you know, doing CrossFit, you know,
- 22:08when you don't want to do
- 22:09it for intensity,
- 22:10you want to be able to just
- 22:11be fit and healthy.
- 22:12That's okay.
- 22:12It's part of CrossFit.
- 22:14So I actually made a comment
- 22:16to somebody like CrossFit
- 22:18is good for everybody,
- 22:19but not everybody's going
- 22:20to be the right fit for CrossFit.
- 22:22You know what I'm saying?
- 22:23It's just, so you can do CrossFit.
- 22:25You just have to take away that, you know,
- 22:26need to be intense,
- 22:27just a little side tangent.
- 22:30But Judy says being background active,
- 22:33like-minded people helps for sure.
- 22:36Um, I 100% agree.
- 22:38So it's why even on the days
- 22:41when I know that I can just
- 22:42do work at home,
- 22:43I still try and get to the gym.
- 22:45Like I've been trying to
- 22:46make sure that I get to the
- 22:47gym at least three times a
- 22:48week because otherwise I'm
- 22:50like the lady with her cat.
- 22:54I'm the cat lady at home
- 22:56that just does nutrition
- 22:57coaching all day.
- 22:58I mean,
- 22:59my clients get to see the most of me,
- 23:00but you know, just me and my cat.
- 23:03So I got to get out and see people.
- 23:07Yeah.
- 23:09Um, yeah.
- 23:10So my goal right now is
- 23:11three days a week until I
- 23:12can get my schedule cleared
- 23:14and then back on trying to
- 23:17get back to five.
- 23:18Yep.
- 23:19Um,
- 23:19the only thing I'm going to mention is
- 23:21this week,
- 23:21your protein has been a little
- 23:23bit on the low side and I
- 23:25don't know if it's just been, uh,
- 23:27like not thinking about it.
- 23:29You know,
- 23:30it might just be your lunch was a
- 23:32little bit low protein some days.
- 23:34So I would like to see a
- 23:34little bit more protein.
- 23:35Um,
- 23:37You know,
- 23:38like you can also make sure that
- 23:39you're getting a high protein snack in.
- 23:41You know,
- 23:41you used to be pretty good about
- 23:43before bedtime having
- 23:45something because your
- 23:47proteins have been
- 23:49definitely a little bit on
- 23:50the lower side.
- 23:51That's the only other thing
- 23:53that I really want you to
- 23:54focus on this week.
- 23:57Yeah, I did.
- 23:58I did get some rice cakes
- 24:01and some lunch meat and go
- 24:03back to the lunch meat,
- 24:05rice cake and laughing cow
- 24:06cheese thing that you
- 24:09taught me a long time ago.
- 24:10And then I did get some
- 24:11oatmeal to start doing the
- 24:14oatmeal pudding.
- 24:16Have you tried the cottage
- 24:18cheese pizza dip?
- 24:19I have not.
- 24:22Okay.
- 24:23I have a recipe and I'll send it to you.
- 24:25Um, and if you guys,
- 24:26anybody on there that
- 24:27doesn't like cottage cheese,
- 24:29little hack is put it in a
- 24:30blender because it takes
- 24:32away the little chunks.
- 24:34Um, but you put literally cottage cheese,
- 24:37fat-free mozzarella, um,
- 24:40a little bit of Parmesan cheese,
- 24:42marinara sauce, turkey pepperonis,
- 24:46put it all together, pop in the microwave,
- 24:49put a little Italian seasoning in it.
- 24:51And I take the Joseph's lavash bread and
- 24:53You can cut it into like squares,
- 24:56dip that in there.
- 24:57Now you've got a really nice
- 24:58high protein snack that's
- 24:59also high fiber.
- 25:00You can use other, whatever you want.
- 25:02So you can use pita chips or whatever,
- 25:04but something high fiber would be great.
- 25:07And that's a really easy
- 25:09high protein snack.
- 25:10I think the recipe that I
- 25:12have that I'll send you,
- 25:12I think has like 40 grams
- 25:14of protein in it.
- 25:14And it's only got like two
- 25:16to 300 calories.
- 25:18So super easy high protein
- 25:20snack if you're looking for
- 25:21something salty and
- 25:22you know, I love my Greek yogurt bowls,
- 25:25a little bit of vanilla
- 25:26protein powder in those.
- 25:28Uh, but I,
- 25:28I think that what you need to be
- 25:30thinking of with your, it's,
- 25:31it's really your snacks.
- 25:33Uh,
- 25:33cause your main meals are usually about
- 25:3540 grams of protein,
- 25:36which is pretty good.
- 25:38Um,
- 25:38but I think that like your one or two
- 25:39snacks,
- 25:40you need to be like reaching for like,
- 25:41where's my protein first.
- 25:43And, and if you're going to,
- 25:44cause you might just be like,
- 25:45I'm craving something salty.
- 25:47And the easiest thing is like,
- 25:48how can I add some protein to this?
- 25:50You know?
- 25:50So that's where
- 25:52I think the rice cakes is a
- 25:53good idea with the turkey.
- 25:56Cottage cheese is great.
- 25:58Even some things that people
- 25:59don't think of.
- 26:00Like I told you,
- 26:00I've been getting down to tuna,
- 26:02like the tuna salad with
- 26:03the mayo or the Greek yogurt.
- 26:05That's been a good, easy snack for me.
- 26:07And you can even make it ahead of time.
- 26:09You can make like a buffalo chicken dip.
- 26:11So any of that kind of stuff
- 26:12would be easy to have.
- 26:14And you can dip that and you
- 26:15can even get some more
- 26:15veggies in that way.
- 26:17because you can make a dip
- 26:18like that and use like bell
- 26:19peppers or the tuna salad
- 26:20and use some bell peppers
- 26:22or carrots or cucumbers,
- 26:24any of that kinds of stuff.
- 26:27Okay.
- 26:27So that's going to be,
- 26:29that's the only thing that
- 26:29I really want to see is
- 26:32more protein because I
- 26:33definitely feel like that's
- 26:34where you're lacking,
- 26:37but everything else looks pretty good.
- 26:38Calories are in a good spot.
- 26:40Um, how about your gut?
- 26:42How's that been?
- 26:44Much better.
- 26:44Okay.
- 26:45Now the doctor did say that she,
- 26:50so I'm still,
- 26:52I was still having the cough and the,
- 26:53the congestion.
- 26:56So she changed my allergy medicine all,
- 26:59all together.
- 27:02And so now I'm, so I was on Zyrtec.
- 27:06She took me off that and put
- 27:07me on Clareton and then
- 27:10Singulair at night.
- 27:12And we're giving that two weeks to work.
- 27:15If that doesn't work,
- 27:15she's going to check my gut
- 27:16health because it could be
- 27:19that that's causing
- 27:22everything that's going on,
- 27:23but I'm not burping like I was.
- 27:24Okay.
- 27:26All right.
- 27:28Um,
- 27:31Okay.
- 27:31I think that everything else
- 27:32is looking pretty good.
- 27:33Like I said,
- 27:35I think that protein intake
- 27:36needs to go up a little bit.
- 27:38Your meals are pretty
- 27:39balanced for the most part.
- 27:42You tend to balance out your
- 27:43calories a little bit.
- 27:45You're never really hitting your carbs.
- 27:47You're always going a little
- 27:49bit over on fats and a
- 27:50little bit under on carbs.
- 27:52I really think that if you
- 27:53optimize your carbs a little bit more,
- 27:55your fiber intake would go
- 27:56up and it would also help
- 27:59with your blood sugar a little bit.
- 28:01But getting in complex carbohydrates,
- 28:03so like more sweet potatoes,
- 28:07fruits and vegetables,
- 28:08that kinds of stuff.
- 28:09And if your gut's still giving you trouble,
- 28:14that's what I'm going to say again,
- 28:15is getting the fat intake
- 28:16down a little bit.
- 28:17But really what I want you
- 28:18to focus on this week is
- 28:19getting the protein up.
- 28:20I'm not because you're
- 28:21keeping your calories in a good spot.
- 28:23I'm not really that worried
- 28:24about macros of carbs and
- 28:25fats as long as we're
- 28:27getting the protein up and
- 28:28your calories are staying within control.
- 28:30So I want to speak to Jay Birch.
- 28:32Grits are nasty.
- 28:34I lived four years in the South,
- 28:36could never ever get used to them.
- 28:40You know, I've never had grits before.
- 28:44Go up to the panhandle.
- 28:45I've never had grits before.
- 28:48See my family, we live in Florida,
- 28:49but they're from New York.
- 28:50So they're not like into a
- 28:52lot of Southern food.
- 28:53They're, they're like, my mom is like,
- 28:55you know,
- 28:55they're Italian in New York and just,
- 28:57they're like not into that stuff.
- 28:59So we did not eat grits growing up.
- 29:03We had pancakes.
- 29:05We didn't even eat oatmeal growing up.
- 29:07Like I tried it a number of
- 29:09times and I thought it was
- 29:10healthy and I never liked it growing up.
- 29:13Yeah.
- 29:14so definitely what every
- 29:16single person told me this
- 29:18exact phrase every time
- 29:22they brought me grits mine
- 29:24are better than anyone
- 29:25you've had you have they
- 29:27haven't been cooked
- 29:28correctly blah blah blah
- 29:31nope sorry there's a lot of
- 29:33southern food I've never
- 29:34had like chicken and
- 29:35waffles I've never done
- 29:36that either now that that's
- 29:38just way too good
- 29:39I've never done that before.
- 29:40Chicken and waffles are top
- 29:4310 food of all time.
- 29:44Yeah, never.
- 29:45I didn't do that either.
- 29:46And that I will only buy in
- 29:48the South because they
- 29:49really know what they're doing.
- 29:50Yeah.
- 29:52There's another thing I used
- 29:53to eat growing up.
- 29:53Have you ever heard of pastina?
- 29:54Yeah.
- 29:56It's just like really,
- 29:58it almost looks like couscous.
- 29:59It's like really small pasta.
- 30:02And literally we would just
- 30:03eat that covered in
- 30:04Parmesan cheese and butter.
- 30:06Like just, it was so good.
- 30:09But I think that might've
- 30:10been like a Pennsylvania thing.
- 30:12It's like a,
- 30:13I think it's like a new England thing.
- 30:14Well, that's fun.
- 30:15That's where you're from.
- 30:15I don't know where it's from then.
- 30:17You would have had that.
- 30:19So, but I know one that you might know of,
- 30:22this is a gross food.
- 30:24Anybody that knows this food
- 30:25might think it's gross, but well,
- 30:27do you know what scrapple is?
- 30:31That's from like the Northeast, right?
- 30:33That's a Northeast thing.
- 30:35So it's, I know it's a Philly thing.
- 30:37Yes.
- 30:39When I, when we went, when I,
- 30:42so when I went to visit Kat,
- 30:44she lives in Delaware,
- 30:45just South of Philly.
- 30:47She bought me a scrapple
- 30:49breakfast sandwich.
- 30:51My grandfather used to love
- 30:53that stuff and it smelled
- 30:55so bad when it was cooking.
- 30:57Oh,
- 30:57and then I remember like in towards the
- 30:59end of his life, well, my grandpa,
- 31:02I was like the only one
- 31:03that would cook it because
- 31:04like my aunt was like,
- 31:05I don't know how to cook that stuff.
- 31:06And he likes it when you
- 31:07cook it and it tastes,
- 31:08it like smells gross.
- 31:10has gross food yeah it's not
- 31:12something I'd have every
- 31:13day for sure no probably
- 31:15and I haven't had it since
- 31:15I've not been out there
- 31:18that way yeah yeah I know
- 31:20what it is and I've had it
- 31:21once or twice oh can I just
- 31:23can I just start by making
- 31:24a comment here I'm going to
- 31:25bring this up right here
- 31:27heidi mex mentions has
- 31:29scott considered pure
- 31:30carnivore guys oh the world of dieting
- 31:38is just disgusting.
- 31:42Disgusting,
- 31:43it just makes me so angry for
- 31:47people that are just trying
- 31:49to be healthy.
- 31:50The extremes that we think
- 31:52we have to go to in order to get healthy.
- 31:56What does eating only meat,
- 32:00having only meat in your
- 32:01diet really solve?
- 32:04Is that really a healthy diet?
- 32:06What is that going to fix?
- 32:08I mean,
- 32:09think about all of the nutrients
- 32:11you're missing.
- 32:12Talk about gut health.
- 32:15I mean, it just, to me, is like,
- 32:18I just can't even.
- 32:19And you might feel amazing
- 32:20on a carnivore diet.
- 32:21That's great.
- 32:23But the health benefits of
- 32:24carnivore diet are slim to none.
- 32:28And there's a lot of
- 32:29research that shows that.
- 32:31In fact,
- 32:31you're limiting yourself on so
- 32:33many of the nutrients you
- 32:34could be getting.
- 32:35And it really is like for some people,
- 32:38they need to just go to that extreme.
- 32:40But it doesn't solve any of the problems.
- 32:43It doesn't.
- 32:44And then you're going to
- 32:44have the vegans telling you,
- 32:46why are you eating meat?
- 32:48Meat is going to make you sick.
- 32:50You know,
- 32:50and then you just it's ridiculous.
- 32:52It really is.
- 32:54I really do find that the
- 32:55extremes in this world with
- 32:57dieting are unbelievably ridiculous.
- 33:00And at the end of the day,
- 33:02most people that do diets
- 33:05end up going back to doing
- 33:06something else.
- 33:08They'll live a lifestyle for
- 33:09a period of time and they shift.
- 33:12And I love what Philip just said.
- 33:14Just do whatever works for you.
- 33:16Something sustainable.
- 33:17Absolutely.
- 33:18It should literally be that.
- 33:21And I will be honest.
- 33:22Heidi says I did it for a
- 33:23limited time to solve my joint problems.
- 33:25I'm not sure.
- 33:26Okay.
- 33:26How I call it disgusting.
- 33:28I think it's,
- 33:29I'm not calling the diet disgusting.
- 33:31I'm calling the fact that
- 33:32people are selling these
- 33:33diets as the solution to inflammation,
- 33:37to joint problems, to over to obesity,
- 33:41to blood sugar from a diet.
- 33:43Do you know why they all work?
- 33:45Because they get people to
- 33:46remove the shit from their diet.
- 33:48They're controlling their calories.
- 33:50They're getting more protein in.
- 33:52And guess what?
- 33:53A lot of their symptoms go away.
- 33:55Has nothing to do with the actual diet.
- 33:59Now, I'll be honest,
- 34:00diets that add things in like.
- 34:04you add in more protein,
- 34:06you add in more fruits and
- 34:07vegetables and fiber,
- 34:08often do have a lot of health benefits.
- 34:11That's my opinion.
- 34:12And I'm going to just make
- 34:14this a really controversial show today,
- 34:15aren't I?
- 34:18I'm just very opinionated on it.
- 34:20I am.
- 34:23Right.
- 34:23You have to go with what works for you.
- 34:25This is working for me right now.
- 34:27Balanced diet.
- 34:29Exactly.
- 34:29I've tried everything under
- 34:31the sun in my 54 years.
- 34:34Me too.
- 34:35And so this is what's working for me.
- 34:37So there it is.
- 34:41I'm somebody who followed a
- 34:42paleo diet for years
- 34:44because I thought that it
- 34:45was going to be the
- 34:46solution to my gut issues.
- 34:50I was petrified that I was
- 34:51going to get leaky gut and
- 34:53all this stuff.
- 34:54And I literally stopped doing that.
- 34:58I added food back in and felt better.
- 35:01Everything improved.
- 35:03But I still believe that
- 35:05that type of a diet,
- 35:07whole food based diet is
- 35:08how we should all be eating
- 35:10everything in balance.
- 35:11Have I ever tried carnivore?
- 35:13No,
- 35:14I don't plan on it because even here's
- 35:18the deal.
- 35:18Even if people were going to
- 35:20use an extreme diet to
- 35:22actually get the systemic
- 35:23benefits of something like that,
- 35:25you would likely have to be
- 35:26doing it for like a year plus.
- 35:28And I am not willing, nor do I need to
- 35:32completely remove all the
- 35:34foods from my diet in order
- 35:36to get myself healthy and
- 35:37nobody does so and I and I
- 35:41can't say I've tried
- 35:43carnivore before and before
- 35:45we met like I said I've
- 35:47tried everything and uh it
- 35:51wasn't sustainable for me
- 35:52it's like the people that
- 35:53are like oh fasting works
- 35:55no it doesn't you likely
- 35:57are controlling your
- 35:58calories you're losing
- 35:59weight and guess what
- 36:01Less fat in your body,
- 36:03less adipose tissue does
- 36:04help remove the chronic inflammation.
- 36:07You know,
- 36:08our fat cells is where we store
- 36:09everything.
- 36:11Again, when we're talking about this diet,
- 36:12like people are like,
- 36:13have you tried carnivore?
- 36:14How long have you tried carnivore?
- 36:17Why?
- 36:18What is the purpose?
- 36:21When we talk about trying a diet,
- 36:23what are we trying to achieve?
- 36:25Right?
- 36:26Like that's the goal.
- 36:27What, why are we going on this diet for?
- 36:31So if there's not a purpose for the diet,
- 36:33why do the diet?
- 36:39In Scott's case, but once again,
- 36:42what is the purpose?
- 36:44If he's losing fat,
- 36:46if he's improving his blood biomarkers,
- 36:49why would we make things
- 36:50more restrictive?
- 36:53Like, that's my question.
- 36:56Like, it's like, oh, you're doing great.
- 36:58Hey,
- 36:58let's go ahead and remove everything
- 36:59from your diet because
- 37:01We just think you need to do that.
- 37:03I just,
- 37:04this is what I mean by people are just,
- 37:09it doesn't make any sense.
- 37:11It just doesn't make any
- 37:12sense that people would go
- 37:14to such extremes when they don't need to.
- 37:18No worries, Jake.
- 37:19You missed the first half of
- 37:20the show that when Scott
- 37:21was talking about how great he feels.
- 37:27So, and just to answer, I, when I tried it,
- 37:29I, I made it like three months.
- 37:32Um, but it just,
- 37:34it wasn't sustainable at that point.
- 37:36I did whole 30 for like six months.
- 37:41What am I doing?
- 37:42Like why, you know?
- 37:44So I do believe that we
- 37:46should all be getting in enough,
- 37:47but I just think the
- 37:49extreme dieting world is just, and
- 37:53I'm going to be off on a tangent.
- 37:54I think this needs to be my
- 37:55next podcast is the people
- 37:58that are talking about
- 37:59these diets are usually
- 38:01selling you something too.
- 38:03By the way, by my ancestral supplements,
- 38:06I shouldn't even use that
- 38:07word because I don't want it.
- 38:08That's a good company, but by my,
- 38:10these beef liver tabs or this or that,
- 38:13that's going to help with
- 38:14this and that it
- 38:16it's all a marketing game, you know,
- 38:18like it's, it's,
- 38:19it's just as bad as the freaking medical,
- 38:21the medical companies, the same,
- 38:23the same people that are
- 38:24feeding people pills are
- 38:26feeding people Oreos, the same companies,
- 38:29you know,
- 38:30they're coming from the same places.
- 38:31Oh, here to have this Oreo,
- 38:33but let me go ahead and
- 38:34give you the medication.
- 38:34It's going to help you with that too.
- 38:36It's like, it's the same shit, you know?
- 38:38So anyways,
- 38:42Just to recap and bring this
- 38:45ribbon around the package.
- 38:47Because now you've got
- 38:48Cheryl all fired up right now.
- 38:50We're down 14 pounds since
- 38:53the hospitalization.
- 38:55Blood sugar is back down into the 120s,
- 38:58which is really good from where I was at.
- 39:01And it's on a downward trend.
- 39:04Weight loss is still on a downward trend.
- 39:07And I'm feeling great.
- 39:09I'm back in the gym.
- 39:10I am back to working out.
- 39:12I'm back.
- 39:13My joints are feeling great.
- 39:15And we're just going to keep
- 39:16on trucking with what we're doing.
- 39:19And I'm going to say one more thing, okay?
- 39:20Because first things first.
- 39:23I don't want anybody getting
- 39:24offended by my opinion.
- 39:26And here's what I'm going to say.
- 39:27I'm going to leave it at this.
- 39:28If you're following a diet
- 39:30trend and that works really well for you,
- 39:33that's great.
- 39:34But I'm always going to be
- 39:35the honest person that
- 39:36tells you why a diet works.
- 39:37Okay.
- 39:38Likely you're getting more
- 39:39nutrients and less of the
- 39:41crap and you're controlling
- 39:42your calories.
- 39:43Okay.
- 39:44No matter what all that stuff is.
- 39:46My approach to nutrition is
- 39:48one that I want to be
- 39:49realistic with my clients with.
- 39:52that they have full-time jobs,
- 39:54they have kids, they have families,
- 39:56and their kids are also
- 39:58watching what they're doing
- 40:00and what they're eating.
- 40:02And what I teach is meant to
- 40:04be balanced because life is
- 40:06meant to be balanced.
- 40:08We should all be able to enjoy things.
- 40:10And a lot of people on those
- 40:12quote unquote diets,
- 40:13whether it's carnivore, Whole30,
- 40:15that was me at one point,
- 40:17live for cheap meals.
- 40:19They live for cheat meals.
- 40:20They literally, they're so happy,
- 40:23but they still have to have that.
- 40:25It's my cheat day.
- 40:26Guess what?
- 40:27We don't cheat on our food
- 40:28because there's no cheating
- 40:32on what you eat.
- 40:33So my approach to nutrition
- 40:36is meant to be one that
- 40:37makes a person feel excited
- 40:39for their meals, not restricted by them.
- 40:42And I know that if a person
- 40:43is eating enough nutrients,
- 40:45and they're controlling their calories,
- 40:47and they're getting their
- 40:48movement in throughout their day,
- 40:49they're going to be healthy,
- 40:51they're going to be
- 40:51lowering their inflammation markers,
- 40:53and they're going to be
- 40:54living a lifestyle that
- 40:55they can sustain forever.
- 40:56And that's what I'm going to say to end.
- 40:59So what I want to say is, Heidi,
- 41:01don't be sorry.
- 41:02No, don't be sorry.
- 41:03This show is for.
- 41:05I want to have open discussion.
- 41:06Agreed.
- 41:07Where we can talk back and
- 41:08forth about why you think
- 41:10that's a benefit to you,
- 41:11why Cheryl doesn't,
- 41:12and we can have a
- 41:14conversation about it and
- 41:16not just shut people out.
- 41:18That's what this show is about.
- 41:22And that's fine.
- 41:23We're all entitled to our own opinions.
- 41:25And I've tried a lot of things.
- 41:27And I've done,
- 41:28I used to weigh over 500 pounds.
- 41:30I have lost almost 300 pounds,
- 41:35gained some back.
- 41:36I'm on the track back to
- 41:37losing the weight again.
- 41:39The first ways weren't sustainable.
- 41:41This is working better.
- 41:43It's slower.
- 41:44It's more methodical.
- 41:46And it's more sustainable for me.
- 41:47And that's why I choose this.
- 41:50Yeah, I would say I agree.
- 41:52And I also want to thank
- 41:54Heidi because guess what?
- 41:55If these topics aren't put out,
- 41:58I can't educate people.
- 42:00So your questions help me
- 42:02help the people that might
- 42:04be literally living in a diet prison.
- 42:07It might be really sustainable for you,
- 42:09but there might be somebody
- 42:10else out there that thinks
- 42:11that they have to eat that
- 42:12way in order to see results.
- 42:14I got clients that are
- 42:15afraid of eating bread or
- 42:17afraid of eating carbs or
- 42:18afraid of eating this stuff.
- 42:20Being able to show those
- 42:21people that they don't have
- 42:22to live that way to get
- 42:23healthy and eat and see
- 42:25results is what I'm passionate about.
- 42:28So if it works for you, great.
- 42:29I'm so happy that it works for you.
- 42:31But I just wanted to make
- 42:33sure that I also said that as well.
- 42:34So I want people to ask.
- 42:35I want people to challenge me for sure.
- 42:38And now I'm going to have a
- 42:39podcast episode on it.
- 42:40So we're going to do it.
- 42:45Whoops.
- 42:46She said, to be fair,
- 42:47I have been eating more
- 42:47sourdough than usual.
- 42:49There we go.
- 42:49So you're, yeah, it's good.
- 42:52But anyways, guys,
- 42:54I got to get going because
- 42:55I actually have a call with
- 42:56somebody in a minute.
- 42:58So I'm excited for that call.
- 43:00Thank you everybody for the input.
- 43:02This is an open forum for everybody.
- 43:04We love you all.
- 43:05And with that,
- 43:06we will see everybody next
- 43:07time on the Clydesdale
- 43:09Media Weight Loss Journey.
- 43:10Thank you everyone.
