- 3:18[SPEAKER_08]: I could have did this yesterday, but it didn't come to me to late last night or what today's episode should be about.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_08]: And it's already late in afternoon on Tuesday, but I'm gonna push it out because this is something we need to talk about and it's important.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_08]: Very, very important.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_08]: I got some information and it's really, they say a lot of the stuff I do is,
- 3:45[SPEAKER_08]: reaction videos, social media, reaction news, clippings and stuff.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm glad you realized that that's what I do.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_08]: If you're looking for me to talk about who PDD is dealing with, who Beyoncé is dealing with, you're not gonna find it here.

- 4:51[SPEAKER_08]: So today we're going to talk about two different things.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_08]: One big thing we're going to talk about is the plague that's out.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_08]: There is a such thing called a plague and it's coming out of Russia, like when COVID came out of Seoul, Korea.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_08]: We knew about it, and yet we did nothing about it, but Russia's taking some drastic measures already, and we're going to talk about it.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_08]: We're also going to talk about the lady who had four children, and she just left them home to go on a cruise.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_08]: I don't understand, mental health is really important and we need to make sure we tap into that and stay focused on what we need to stay focused on.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_08]: So again, to all our listeners, we thank you guys for sharing.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_08]: We had a very big turnout on 158, 157, 156.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_08]: You guys have been really tearing it up.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_08]: And we'd like to thank you guys all our overseas supporters.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_08]: We thank you.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_08]: And we will keep giving you that information.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_08]: Keep giving me that work.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_08]: Right now, we're going to run into this video.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_08]: And you need to hear it.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_08]: You need to see what's going on.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_08]: It's a little sad, you know?
- 6:18[SPEAKER_08]: It's sad to hear this.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_08]: I meant to hope that it is where it is.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_08]: And we need to check it out.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, guys.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_08]: Here we go.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_04]: Mother arrested and charged.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: She's accused of leaving her four children.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: While she left on a cruise.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_04]: According to the arrest report, one of those children was as young as two months old.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: See, Glitz joins us now with the new body-one camera up her arrest.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: Police down four young children inside an apartment, body worn camera shows how they were led outside.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: One was carrying an infant.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: Natalie Bella's air wiped her tears when the judge told her she must stay away from her four kids.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: Police say she went on a weekend cruise out of Port Miami and left them alone in her apartment in North Miami Beach.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: One
- 7:13[SPEAKER_09]: We're leaving a baby alone, unattended, a supervisor's a serious crime.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_09]: She's currently facing four counts of child talking to Glenn.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: In bond court, the judge and Bella Zair's public defender, standing right next to her, talked about who is responsible for children.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_08]: Now, this is the African American allegedly.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_08]: And that's what it appears.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_08]: And she looks kind of young, 37 at the most, if that, I think she's about 34 or 33.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_08]: And she has four children.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_08]: And she's probably stressed out, stressed out to the max.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_08]: And who was there to help her or to assist her?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_08]: with this.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_08]: Now, as we see this and we look into this, we don't we might not see it like everybody else see it or recognize it as it being a problem.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_08]: But it is.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_08]: It is a major problem for her.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_08]: She was just trying to get out of the way, I guess, or perhaps just find some type of piece where she can be able to take a break away from them for kids.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_08]: Now, I'm not saying to you those four kids was so stressful that it was unbearable, but she wanted to get away.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_08]: Now, the irony of this whole thing is that the woman had help.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_08]: Allegedly, if you go deeper into this, her grandmother is in the kid's life, and the grandmother was there to assist her, but she chose another option.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_08]: Now, that is correct, that is a sad choice of options.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of times, we have decisions, and when we make these decisions, we have to be conscious of every reaction to the decision we make.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_08]: It's really best for you to run your decision sometime by someone neutral who has done the new which is a situation.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_08]: Because they will give you their opinion on the situation
- 9:24[SPEAKER_08]: Oftentimes, when emotions are attached to things, we do the wrong decision.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_08]: So, we've got to find a way.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_08]: If it's possible to make these decisions, rationally is possible.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_08]: Now, we all know just giving birth and having a child that's two months old is no time for a mother to take a vacation.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_08]: right, and we can't just put this on the mother, soly is all her fault.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_08]: These kids do have a father somewhere.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_08]: But of course, I community, we don't do that.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_08]: We blame mostly one parent.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_08]: And the choices, we blame it on one parent that's there, and that is the mother.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_08]: So let's listen to what they say.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_14]: usually is the mother, the person that gave birth to her or other.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_14]: People then are also responsible.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_14]: There's not just mothers, then are in charge of children judge.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_14]: They're also fathers and grandparents and other people.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: The police reports as Bell is air posted a picture of a cruise ticket on social media.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_03]: One of the kids fathers became suspicious and visited the apartment.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: The report says he observed the television on through the blinds and heard children talking inside, based on those observations the father called 911.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Mymidate Fire Rescue responded and made forced entry into the apartment and upon entry, all four minor children were discovered inside the residents without adult supervision and were hiding together in the bathroom.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: Bella's ears weekend crews returned to port Miami yesterday
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: And we know she did post-bond and is expected to walk out of jail at some point.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: This evening, those four kids, two months old, two years old, seven and nine years old, police said they were alone about 48 hours before the father and the police intervened the chief told us the kids are in foster care right now.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'd sad that.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_08]: So the kids are in foster care and
- 11:35[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's not a great thing, you know, you took the kids from one mother and now they're in foster care.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_08]: The question I got and what I got out of this whole situation is, where's the father?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_08]: If he was there to call a PD on them, to get somebody in in the help of children, why don't he claim his kids without them going to foster care?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_08]: So, the kids were by themselves that wasn't with them on, that wasn't with the dad.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_08]: The kids are in the house, by themselves.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_08]: As a father, so that you banging on the door, perhaps getting the children to open the door, so you can go inside and sit with them, but they know who you are.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_08]: I'm quite sure, someone who one of the kids got to know you are if you're in their life.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_08]: Why you couldn't just come to the door?
- 12:35[SPEAKER_08]: Not gonna do AIDS, dad, let me in and then let you in.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_08]: And now you sit there with them and you take care of them for a couple of days to the mom get back.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_08]: We don't have to call the police.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_08]: That never occurred.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_08]: You couldn't get on the phone and raised a mother or reach out about social media like Dave so where she was at.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_08]: So you decided to call the police and that would be the best resolution for this.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_08]: They end up got the kids taken away from the mom and their kids ain't with you.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see what the other one says because I'm just that's just the first part of it.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to see if we get anything else on it because I just don't think it was the smartest thing to do.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's to do that to the mother.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_08]: And you risked the kids now as you see the kids are in foster care.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_08]: When you could have just knocked on the door, a lesson is dead open the door.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to call up or leave.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_08]: I just want to sit there with you guys.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_08]: I'll take care of you to your mom comes back.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_08]: That's it.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_08]: Here we go.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_13]: A mother accused of leaving her four children, including a two month old baby alone to go on a cruise.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_13]: Walked out of jail tonight.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_13]: The 29-year-old woman was arrested at Port Miami when she got off the ship after a weekend trip to the Bahamas.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_13]: Good evening, I'm Lauren Pastrana.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_13]: Tonight we're also seeing body cam video of the moment police checked in on those kids.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_13]: CBS News Miami's Yvonne Taylor is your reporter live in West Miami, Dade with what a judge had to say about this shocking case, Yvonne.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_06]: And what the judge had to say, Lauren, and I'm going to quote her exactly by her words, who leaves her kids alone to get on a cruise?
- 14:48[SPEAKER_06]: That's what an appalled judge Mindiglacer told this mother.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that defendant just got out of jail a few hours ago.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_06]: This Miami-Digiel behind me, known as TGK.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_06]: Natalie Belize, covered her face when she noticed the cameras while walking out of jail.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_06]: The 29-year-old Facebook or Judge Mindiglyzer this morning.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_06]: You were arrested for four counts of child neglects.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_06]: And then the judges don't change.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot make this a.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: It says she went on a cruise and left her children on a loan, including at some adult baby.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: She's going to drop the loan for the mother's house, never did.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_06]: The defendant talked to the public defender next to her while the judge did not hold back.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: I guess there's probable cause for child neglect, which is great from nothing worse happen to these kids.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_06]: That's when the public defender intervened.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: Judge Mr. Bellazar denies his allocation, of course she does.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: One baby, the baby was more a judge.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: A lie of this year, who makes a baby alone like that?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: You would agree to supervised visitation.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_14]: I don't think I want to do that.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_14]: Who leaves the kid is for a little chance of malignation at this time?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_14]: They go in a cruise.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_14]: They arrested her to some parking from La Couchia.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_14]: I understand that, Judge.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_06]: According to her response, police broke into the apartment in Miami Beach after the father of the two-month-old called 911.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_06]: But he come video from the officers we quoted and to other residents.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_08]: So if that is true that the two-month-year-old
- 16:25[SPEAKER_08]: It's his son or her or that's his daughter, whether they didn't say it the two months was a boy or girl, the other kid should be able to identify the father.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_08]: So they could have let him in.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_08]: because if you're good enough to have a baby with your mom, you might be safe enough to be in a house.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_08]: I'll, allegedly.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, nowadays, people have been sex with strangers and giving birth with kids and they just walkin' off, whatever.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_08]: But I'm just saying hypothetically speaking, maybe the other kids know the father and they could have been a thing where they could have just let him in and they could have been kept under the rug.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just saying.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_08]: hypothetically, right?
- 17:13[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_06]: They said they found the infant with no supervision, along with the other three siblings, all hiding together in the bathroom.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_06]: The father told police he saw what's up story post last Thursday appearing to show a carnival cruise line stick it purchased.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_06]: He says he was told the kids would be supervised, but realized two days later, they were not.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: Alternate bond $2,500 each count.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: Good luck to you, man.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_06]: Judge Mindiglaser instructed this mother to stay away from her children.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_06]: She said, no contact directly in the regular in person or in writing.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_06]: The Department of Children's Family is now investigating.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_08]: So of course, the kids are now up and foster care, which you kind of knew that was coming.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_08]: What you call a police like that, you know that's coming.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_08]: So we'll catch up on that and we'll see what's going on with that in a couple of weeks.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_08]: So, and keep you guys abreast to what do you think about that?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_08]: And as we get this out there, and you get to see the different clips of it, you tell me.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_08]: You know, first of all, a lot of you guys are going to say, oh, that wouldn't happen to me because I'm not leaving my kids by themselves.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_08]: Most of us would say the same.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_08]: Do you know the type of mind?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_08]: You got to be in, your mind said?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_08]: The old this child was nine.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_08]: Watching a two-month yo.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_08]: Ain't that crazy?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_08]: Just think about that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_08]: A nine-year-old watching a two-month yo.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_08]: And the mother's in court shaking her head like not it didn't happen, but it was nobody there.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_08]: You do realize this video it is.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_08]: They can see that you left these kids.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_08]: What was the video then?
- 19:22[SPEAKER_08]: Other than you.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_08]: What was that?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_08]: Say it's a situation man.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_08]: but it could have been worse, right?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_08]: Listen up to this, this is what's really good.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_08]: This is what you need, let's not do.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_11]: monitoring a potential case of pneumonic plague in Russia after a laboratory worker who studied the disease, felt ill and died.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_11]: Russian authorities say the worker died from pneumonia of an unknown cause and insist there is no cause for alarm.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_11]: But Russian officials have also imposed quarantines and other anti-epidemic measures at several medical facilities in Siberia but at least 200 people
- 20:09[SPEAKER_08]: We already know October 6, we're already about three days, maybe four days behind.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_08]: So let's go back down to October 1st, if you want to be real and technical on this issue.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_08]: Because news don't tell everything right, let's be honest.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_08]: Let's be totally transparent.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_08]: Let's be clear.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_08]: Let's be clear here.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_08]: If I'm given it to you on October 6, take away five to six days.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_08]: It's already here in the United States.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_08]: Let's just say that, right?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_08]: Now that's awful, that's a stretch, but it is possible and feasible to believe that whatever it is is already in the United States, about to be, there's 20 minutes from getting off the plane.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_08]: So,
- 21:06[SPEAKER_08]: Even though I'm given it to you on the 6th of October, it might have left Russia on the 2nd.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever it is, and Russia cleaned it up, the way they want to clean it up, and then put it out to us.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_08]: So it's acceptable in this format.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_08]: Could this be a tactic to a new war war war three with Russia?
- 21:36[SPEAKER_08]: trying to scare us, I doubt it.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_08]: But again, we always have in places that's not prepared, dealing with chemicals, diseases, airborne diseases that always get out and affect us.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_08]: So,
- 22:03[SPEAKER_08]: Korea, whatever you want to call it, Russia, always.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_08]: It gets out of these chemical oddities factories and it affects us.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_08]: And here's a clear opportunity for it to come around here and affect us.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_08]: And it's on PBS news.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_08]: Now of course it might have been on 2020 or, you know, BBC news, but here it is, it happened and this happened what I got it now.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_08]: So it's already five to six days behind.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_08]: So who knows where the disease is now?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_11]: There is no confirmation the worker contracted plague, but she worked at a research facility that studies the disease.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_08]: Biosecurity, okay?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_08]: Biosecurity.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_11]: what she may have been exposed to and whether there is any risk of a wider outbreak.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_11]: President Trump was asked about those concerns as he left the White House.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_11]: Good old property Trump.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_11]: The U.S. going to do about the risk of pneumonic plague coming from Russia.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_05]: Well, we're looking at it very strongly.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_05]: We just heard about it and they call it pneumonia and pneumonia, you know, years ago you could fit pneumonia each year.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_05]: The mic.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_08]: He wants the American people to believe he just heard about it.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_08]: When we heard about it, when we have American people in Russia giving them intel.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't like when they act like we so slow and stupid like this.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_05]: The robes and the germs have gotten stronger, this proportionally, but we'll help them.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_11]: For more, we're joined now by investigative journalist Annie Jacobs, an author of Biological War, a scenario.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_11]: Annie, thank you for being with us.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_11]: You wrote an entire book about a biological crisis involving pneumonic plague.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_11]: When this story first broke, what did you make of it?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, you know, I was sort of shocked, not shocked.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_12]: Look, the idea about a lab accident causing an epidemic or a pandemic is based on real facts.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_12]: It's also based on experience.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_12]: So I think what's kind of alarming is not just what happened, but the fact that now you have a situation we have the Russian Federation working very hard to close down all information about this.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_11]: So separate what we know from what we don't, what his actually been.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_08]: The judges here what she said, they're trying to close down all the information about this.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_10]: Why would they want to close it down?
- 24:37[SPEAKER_08]: When you want to get the information out, to help people?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_11]: Established about this worker's illness and death and what remains speculative.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_12]: Well, she's dead.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_12]: That's for sure.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_12]: What we don't know is what's going on with the 200 other people who are allegedly quarantined or any of the other people in the five facilities that are also under quarantine.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_12]: I think once we have some information about that, it'll be much clearer about if this.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_12]: is a transmissible variant if other people are dying.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_12]: But again, because we're getting nothing from the Russian Federation after, by the way, a very strong initial clamped-down FSB was involved.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_12]: That's no small thing.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_08]: Is so five different facilities is closed down.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_08]: Two hundred people was quarantined.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_08]: And they're trying to stop all information about it right now.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_08]: And United States don't have nothing to worry about.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_08]: And good old Trump Trump won't say we need to help them.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_11]: Is there anything about the response itself, the quarantine, the medical observation, the involvement of Russia's top public health officials that tell you something about what Russian authorities might be worried about?
- 26:05[SPEAKER_12]: Well, what they're worried about is that this is an anti-plague institute, so they're supposed to be studying medical countermeasures to plague, like vaccines, antibiotics.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_12]: But this particular institute, we know from Soviet defector scientists, was used for biological weapons engineering during their illegal program.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_12]: We also know the State Department believes that that illegal biological weapons program has continued.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_12]: And so what they're really worried about is eyes on this facility, both from the intelligence community here in the United States and the military community, looking at that facility and being like what is going on.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_12]: I mean,
- 26:44[SPEAKER_12]: Look, the facility has six foot high fences around it.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_12]: It's got concertina wire on top of that.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_12]: It's controlled in and out.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_12]: The idea that this worker broke a test tube and suddenly contracted pneumonic plague, which is inhalation plague, that does not entirely add up for somebody like me.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_12]: What I would be most concerned about is that they're kind of one idea that they could be milling.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_12]: The pathogen making it aerosolized, that gets you right into the world of biological weapons engineering.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_11]: Would power, if any, does the WHO, the World Health Organization have here, or does it depend entirely on Russia's willingness to cooperate?
- 27:29[SPEAKER_12]: the latter.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_12]: It depends entirely on rushes ability or, you know, they're going to cooperate.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, right.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_12]: Moscow shut down.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_12]: It's WHO office during the Ukraine war, the beginning of it.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_12]: So it is my understanding that the that the WHO has reached out to Russian health officials and asked for information and that they have not gotten any is the pneumonic plague as transmissible as say COVID.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_12]: Well, that's the question.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, mother nature's pneumonic plague?
- 28:02[SPEAKER_12]: No, COVID was airborne.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_12]: It was aerosolized.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_12]: You could catch it in the air if you were in the room with someone that had COVID.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_12]: Numonic plague, again, mother nature's variant, that is pneumonic plague in the wild, is what's called droplet transmissible.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_12]: So, excuse the graphics here, but you have to actually kind of spit on someone or cough loudly at them.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_12]: to be doing that, which would make the likelihood of your close proximity without some kind of PPE unusual.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_12]: But if genetic modifications are going on, all bets are off as to how transmissible it could potentially be.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_11]: And of course, COVID exposed just how costily a lack of transparency and cooperation among governments can be in the early stages of an outbreak.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_11]: Do we have any better mechanisms today of, I guess in this case, it would be forcing countries to be transparent and cooperate to stem an outbreak before it starts?
- 29:06[SPEAKER_12]: And that is of course the most important question and the most important point by all means I mean transparency is going to be the way forward or should be the way forward because the more we know about an outbreak the more countries can prepare.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_12]: to mitigate the threat in essence, but again, Russia is absolutely not only are they not saying anything, they're actually backtracking and they also have really clamped down apparently on the journalists who were originally doing great reporting on the ground about quarantines.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_12]: Those people have gone completely silent.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_08]: I'm telling you, you see Russia, Russia don't want no flaws of us.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_08]: If they died and they died, he don't care man, you know, it's so sad.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_08]: They really coming out like this man, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_08]: That is so sickened, you know?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_08]: What can you do?
- 30:14[SPEAKER_08]: The lady broke it down so lovely man, he goes something else for y'all.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_08]: Check it out man, listen to this man.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_08]: This is good.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: A 28 year old researcher is dead.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: She worked at an anti-played lab in Russia.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: She developed severe pneumonia and just days later she died.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now nearly 200 people are quarantine because they may have come in contact with this researcher.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Russia says there's no confirmed plague outbreak but the timeline raises questions.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_08]: And this is my favorite.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_08]: This girl is so good.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_08]: I love her.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_08]: She's Indian.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_08]: I think Hindu.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna try not to beat up her name.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's called Apalcala.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_08]: Shamala.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_08]: Show.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_08]: Apalcala.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_08]: Shamala.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_08]: Show.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_08]: She is so good to me.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my God, I love when she talks.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: what happened inside that lab and could anyone else have an exposed?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Russia is on high alert, but has ruled out and outbreak, like I said, the U.S. is monitoring and assessing the situation.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: Here's our report.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_07]: On the 29th of September, 28 year old Daria Shipilova was admitted to a hospital.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_08]: So now on a 29th of September, remember I said October 1st.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_08]: when it actually took place.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_08]: So if they got it on the 29th, that means she got affected on the 28th for the 26th.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_08]: They give you her name.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_08]: Listen up guys.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_07]: She had developed severe pneumonia.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_07]: Her condition was already critical.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_07]: She was put on a ventilator.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_07]: And then just days later, she died.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_07]: Shipylova worked at an anti-plague institute in Russia's Air Coots' region.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_07]: And this was not an ordinary research lab.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_07]: The institute studies plague and other dangerous infections.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_07]: Did shipylova contract a disease there?
- 32:11[SPEAKER_07]: Some reports say she may have broken a test tube containing live bacteria, but that has not been confirmed.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_07]: In fact, Russian authorities disputed.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_07]: But behind the scenes, they have swung into action.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_07]: Shippy Lova's symptoms are consistent with the disease called pneumonic plague.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_07]: It attacks the lungs and it can spread between people through respiratory droplets.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_07]: Think about a cough.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_07]: If anyone with a cough breeds out, they could infect someone nearby by releasing bacteria.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_07]: around 200 people have been placed in a quarantine.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_07]: These are people who worked with Shipalova at the lab or came in contact with her.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_07]: A plague does not always take weeks to show itself.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_07]: Symptoms can appear within one to seven days.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_07]: That's what the authorities in Russia are monitoring for now.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_07]: So far, there is some good news that people under observation have reportedly shown no symptoms, so the risk of a wider outbreak remains low.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_07]: But Russia's national public health agency is not leaving anything to chance.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_07]: The Ross Pucktrip Nadsour has given this disease a name, a pneumonia of a known origin, and they continue to remain unhylert.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_07]: Russia's top sanitary official has traveled to Siberia to oversee the response.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_07]: Emergency health meetings were held, contacts were identified, and quarantine measures were introduced, but the case has caught the eye of the U.S. We're watching and monitoring it closely.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's caused for a while, but it is caused for focus, and the cause is just keep an eye on it, and we're doing that.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_07]: the pandemic in 2020 taught the world.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_07]: The importance of early warnings, the absence of information can cause panic and suspicion.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_07]: It can even catch health authorities off guard.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_07]: The key is to remain vigilant.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_07]: The outbreak in Russia has the attention of the world.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's only about the Russian plague alert, as things stand, there is no outbreak or leak, that's what Moscow says.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, we don't even know how the research had died.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: But for the internet, the story is irresistible, a legendary disease, a far off cyber and outpost, an impossible lethal outbreak.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's a story tailored for means.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I would play the memes, but I'm not, and I think, again, as we look into this and get deeper into it, we're going to find out what's going on and where you mask guys, disinfect your hands, disinfect yourself, keep your kids disinfect it from coming from school, all the door knob and stuff they touch at the schools.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_08]: You have to stay on point because you never know.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_08]: My conclusion is quite simple, protect yourself at all times.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_08]: We need to make sure that we work together, keep each other mind in the right frame.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe if that girl would have talked to somebody before she left.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_08]: She wouldn't have left her kids by herself.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_08]: maybe if the father would have called or says something in text message, 20 minutes prior, it might have changed our whole movement.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_08]: We don't know.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_08]: So we got to stay in touch with each other and make sure we all don't want to call it.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_08]: I'm your host, your name of creme, and this is
