  Here's your host, Angel Santana. Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Monday

  edition of Have Faith, Let It Begin.

  Boy, oh boy, I feel like I have not spoken with you because,
• 1:17
  you know, we do these series and we just kind of go right into it and then we
• 1:21
  close it out. Last week, we did the 60-second motivational topics.

  So we were in and out in 60 seconds. And I feel like we haven't really spoken as a, you know, family.
• 1:31
  So I want to just start off by saying thank you to everyone.
• 1:35
  As you know, we had over 100,000 downloads to beat Podbean.
• 1:39
  So many of you have asked me, well, we are well over that, right? Well, we are.
• 1:44
  But on Podbean, since we've been on this platform, we hit over 100,000.

  So we got credit for that.

  And I want to thank you. We are well over 200,000 downloads,

  you know, as far as a nine-year progress. But hey, 100,000, I'm very,

  very excited about that.

  So with that being said, I want to get right into our conversation this morning,

  talking about how are you?
• 2:08
  You know, for the last couple of weeks, I have had the opportunity to really
• 2:13
  think and hone in on what I'm going to be doing as a future pastor and how I'm
• 2:19
  going to deliver a message.
• 2:21
  Yesterday, I was able to, for the first time, go off of three bullets and just
• 2:26
  kind of go off the cuff as I delivered my sermon.
• 2:28
  And it's interesting because here at Half Faith Let It Begin, that's what I do.

  I do a lot off the cuff, but I've never preached that way because I always was
• 2:39
  nervous that I would mess up and all that kind of stuff.
• 2:42
  But you know what? When you have the Holy Spirit, when you have God in your
• 2:45
  heart and you know that you're talking about something that you believe in and
• 2:49
  you trust in, it made things a lot easier once I got started.
• 2:53
  So thanks for all the prayers and concerns.

  I know I was concerned But everything else was good Yeah, so how are you doing?

  Because, you know, I feel like.
• 3:02
  When I'm on social media or if I'm on services or if I'm even attending a service
• 3:07
  or just being at work, I've noticed a couple of things lately as we deal with
• 3:14
  the world the way it is, full of hate,
• 3:17
  full of just greed and a lot of nasty things that are happening in this world.
• 3:21
  But there's a lot of good also that's happening.
• 3:24
  And throughout all that, I see a lot of people that are just really upset,
• 3:30
  you know, and not happy about the way things have been going in their lives.
• 3:34
  And I said, you know, I got to do an episode on Monday about how are you doing
• 3:38
  as a person? How are you doing as a family?
• 3:42
  And here we are, you know, we're doing an episode and we're talking about what
• 3:46
  it takes to get your day go by, your week go by. So I guess my question again
• 3:51
  is, how are you doing? How do you feel?
• 3:54
  What's been happening in your life? And I know you can't answer me back right
• 3:59
  now, but I want you to know that God is listening.
• 4:02
  So when or if you have a few minutes to spare and be with the Lord and pray
• 4:09
  with Him, I want you to share those moments with Him.
• 4:12
  I want you to feel comfortable and confident that you can express how you feel,
• 4:17
  To the lord quite often I find myself in a position where I don't know if he's
• 4:23
  listening i'll be honest And and I get a little scared.
• 4:27
  I get a little bit upset because yeah, I go come on god Where are you?
• 4:31
  You know, I need you. I need you here with me right now. And you know what?
• 4:35
  He never leaves. He really doesn't leave.
• 4:39
  Yes, I understand we live in a world now where instant gratification is, it's there.
• 4:46
  But I want you to understand something, you know, God does things.
• 4:51
  And when he does it, he does it so perfectly. And the timing is not a factor.
• 4:58
  I know for us, we wish the timing would be faster. You know,
• 5:01
  I wish that we would be able to hit an instantaneous response to our prayers,
• 5:05
  but prayers eventually do get answered.
• 5:09
  Sometimes not the way we expect and not the way we ask for them to be answered,
• 5:14
  but they do get answered.
• 5:16
  And when you realize that God's handprint is on those answered prayers,
• 5:22
  that's when you say, okay, I get it. I understand now why he answered me today, you know?
• 5:30
  And just speaking with so many people about answered prayers and dealing with
• 5:36
  waiting for the response of God,
• 5:38
  I find that the majority of us that I've spoken with have always said,
• 5:43
  you know, I was so quick to rush and I wanted those prayers answered.
• 5:46
  But, you know, eventually I just, I let it go and I let God do his thing.
• 5:51
  And bam, all of a sudden he did.
• 5:54
  And it made sense.
• 5:56
  And again, very easier said than done, right? Especially when you're in it,
• 6:01
  when you're battling the storms and you're saying, oh, my gosh,
• 6:03
  when is the other page going to turn or, oh, my goodness, I don't know what's going to happen.
• 6:08
  Yeah, it can get frustrating.
• 6:10
  But you have that's what faith will do.
• 6:13
  Faith will come in and unfustrate the frustrated.
• 6:19
  If that's even proper English. Faith will unfustrate the unfustrated because.
• 6:25
  We have to put our trust and faith in God.
• 6:30
  And understand that he is not here to punish. He's not here to make your life harder.
• 6:36
  He's here to make your life better and to fill your heart with love and to fill
• 6:42
  your mind and soul with peace and to give you the compassion,
• 6:48
  to give you the understanding and to be able to say, hey, I get it,
• 6:53
  but I haven't left your side.
• 6:55
  Just keep praying. Just keep believing in me and always remember that I love
• 7:00
  you and that I believe in you, that I trust in you and that I'll never leave your side.

  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this morning's episode.

  Thank you for allowing us to just be ourselves and thank you for allowing us

  to be asked the question, how am I?

  And at this time, Lord, I wanna allow our half faith, let it begin,

  family to do all they can to pray amongst yourself and to do it in a moment
• 7:25
  of silence of 10 seconds.

  Thank you, Jesus. And we ask you to do all this in your precious name as we
• 7:33
  pray the words that you taught us.
• 7:35
  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
• 7:39
  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

  For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever.
