- 0:06Hey it's Cam with another WCBH mini episode so get your strapping strap,
- 0:11the magic sponge doused and the oranges cut children quartered as we talk the
- 0:15new City to Surf course for 2026.
- 0:18Details have been released for the 2026 NT City to Surf and yes there is a new course.
- 0:24It's all happening Sunday 14th of June and as always the event is well timed
- 0:29for a beautiful dry season morning.
- 0:31Now the popular event has moved away from the city to the Nightcliff Foreshore
- 0:35course with the new track incorporating the spectacular East Point Reserve.
- 0:41Participants undertaking the 13km course will start on the Esplanade,
- 0:45run along Daly Street, down Gardens Road before a steep climb up Gilroos Avenue
- 0:51and will continue along East Point Road out to the point past Pee Wees,
- 0:56the one that looks back on the city, before looping back along the same path
- 1:00before incorporating Atkins Drive and finishing at the iconic Mindle Beach.
- 1:06For those who feel that the 13km course is too challenging, there's also a 4km
- 1:11mini-surfer course starting and finishing at Mindle Beach as well as the Macca's Mile.
- 1:16You can register as a participant or as a volunteer on the website citytosurf.com.au.
- 1:23Remember, you must register prior to the event. Now, the NT City to Surf event
- 1:29attracts big numbers. I've done the event for the past three years and I can't
- 1:33wait to jog and walk the new 13-kilometre course.
- 1:37So get your registrations in and start your preparations because Sunday the
- 1:4114th of June will be here before you know it.
- 1:43And as always, Athletics NT will have the event well managed with appropriate
- 1:48street closures and plenty of hydration along the way.
