- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Suckers, Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast, the.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Most traumatic podcast ever with iHeartRadio.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Everybody.
- 0:09Speaker 4: Welcome to Suckers and a very special episode because it's
- 0:12Speaker 4: also an almost famous episode, but an even more special
- 0:15Speaker 4: episode because we have the one and only Chris Harrison
- 0:17Speaker 4: joining us. What suckers, it's well, let's think about Obviously
- 0:22Speaker 4: you got lollipops or suckers.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Some people call them suckers, but.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Suckers is our podcast with Kaylin and Jared Haban, who
- 0:28Speaker 4: I'm sure obviously you know. Well we named it that
- 0:31Speaker 4: because we're suckers for life, and we we well we
- 0:34Speaker 4: just cann't really think of a better name, so suckers.
- 0:37Speaker 5: I do have a question about suckers. Yeah, because today
- 0:40Speaker 5: I saw the promo picture.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Are you happy that I'm blond?
- 0:44Speaker 5: Mad that you're blond in the promo picture that will
- 0:46Speaker 5: now live probably for the next ten years.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yeah, it's mixed emotions. I don't like the way I look,
- 0:51Speaker 4: but it's funny and I just smile every time. You're
- 0:54Speaker 4: still blond here because you have a hat on her,
- 0:55Speaker 4: I do. Yeah, you'll see me with a hat on
- 0:57Speaker 4: the entire time here.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Well, it's kind of growing out though. You almost have
- 1:00Speaker 2: like a little leopard print thing going.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's not good. And what's it like.
- 1:04Speaker 2: When you're so handsome that you can just do anything
- 1:08Speaker 2: and not care like a normal person can't do that.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I'll tell you what, because you'll look like a buffoon
- 1:14Speaker 2: if it was. If you do it, you're like, I
- 1:15Speaker 2: don't care. I'm so effing handsome, it doesn't matter.
- 1:18Speaker 3: You're too sweet. Chris.
- 1:19Speaker 4: If you asked me that question ten years ago, i'd
- 1:20Speaker 4: have an honest answer for you. But I've since gone
- 1:23Speaker 4: well past that. I've getten a lot of weight. You
- 1:25Speaker 4: know you're married, you don't, Yeah, exactly, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I actually got to say though, it's my first time
- 1:29Speaker 4: seeing Chris probably in three or four years. You literally
- 1:32Speaker 4: you look twenty years younger than the last time I
- 1:34Speaker 4: saw you.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's because I'm married. You're married to a younger woman.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I had to really get a lot of work done.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Stress you look less.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I lost. I lost about a thousand people in
- 1:45Speaker 2: my life.
- 1:45Speaker 3: It kind of Chris Chirs looks so young.
- 1:48Speaker 4: They were trying to flag me down in the airport,
- 1:50Speaker 4: and I just walked by them because I didn't even recognize.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So we we we flew in from Austin, they flew
- 1:54Speaker 2: in from their home, and so we had this layover
- 1:56Speaker 2: in Phoenix and so I'm walking through the airport and
- 1:59Speaker 2: I go, oh, there's Dean and I go, he's walking
- 2:02Speaker 2: at me with shades on, and Dean Dean Dean by me, like,
- 2:10Speaker 2: Laura Lauren goes, does does he hate you? Like maybe
- 2:15Speaker 2: he's mad at me?
- 2:15Speaker 3: And I.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Go, honestly, I don't know. Maybe maybe I.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Didn't recognize you. I was like, who's that a handsome
- 2:22Speaker 4: thirty year old over there trying to flag me down?
- 2:25Speaker 2: And then we went through the you know, the what
- 2:28Speaker 2: you do in an airport where people are yelling your
- 2:30Speaker 2: name and you just kind of like you ignored it first,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and you hope it's gonna, you know, go away and.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Well, and also seems blonde. I don't think I've ever
- 2:36Speaker 4: seen her blonde. So I don't think i've seen her
- 2:38Speaker 4: blonde wearing a hat.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Luckily, Kaylin was sweet to us, and so we talked
- 2:42Speaker 2: to him.
- 2:42Speaker 3: She's texting me, was in the bathroom. She's like, hey,
- 2:44Speaker 3: Chris and Laura are here. Be nice to them.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, guys, yeah, I know it's the first time I've
- 2:51Speaker 2: seen them since they got married, which is we both
- 2:55Speaker 2: kind of got married close to the same time.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I would think. So you guys got probably a few
- 2:58Speaker 3: months before us.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, October and November because we had two weddings. Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And then when what month?
- 3:05Speaker 3: Oh we were September, so I guess we were right
- 3:07Speaker 3: before us. Oh.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Interesting, And so when when was the wedding day?
- 3:11Speaker 3: September twenty third?
- 3:12Speaker 2: It looked amazing? Yes, yes, exactly, check got it? And no,
- 3:19Speaker 2: it looked incredible. It looked like it and save to yours.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I mean it's you know, and same to years. Look
- 3:23Speaker 2: at us, we're all married.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I mean I'm deep into this thing now, Yeah, you're too.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Sunk it that, first of all, all three of us
- 3:29Speaker 2: would be married. Second of all, that you would be
- 3:32Speaker 2: married the longest, although we had just been married.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Over two years and three months. Now, I mean, we're
- 3:39Speaker 5: in it.
- 3:40Speaker 2: How's that going?
- 3:41Speaker 3: It is incredible? Is it? It is like the best
- 3:44Speaker 3: thing ever I have.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I was actually talking to Jason Tartik, who's also hearing
- 3:49Speaker 5: this trip, and we're going to be sitting down with
- 3:51Speaker 5: him a letter date to kind of dig in. But
- 3:53Speaker 5: he and I flew one on the same flight, and
- 3:55Speaker 5: I was telling him just about life, and I said, hey,
- 3:58Speaker 5: here's what I know, because whatever you're going through right now,
- 4:01Speaker 5: I've been in that.
- 4:02Speaker 2: He's on the beaches of Normandy right now. Yeah, he's
- 4:05Speaker 2: taking incoming fire. It's like the world is coming at
- 4:08Speaker 2: him like he's drinking out of a fire hydrant. It's
- 4:11Speaker 2: a lot.
- 4:11Speaker 5: It's a lot, and it's going to be an interesting
- 4:13Speaker 5: conversation with him. But I told him because I remember
- 4:15Speaker 5: when I was in that season, I was like, you
- 4:16Speaker 5: know what, I don't know if marriage is actually going
- 4:19Speaker 5: to be that great. Like I really started to get
- 4:21Speaker 5: in my mind, like every relationship I've had is like
- 4:24Speaker 5: hurt me deeply, terribly.
- 4:27Speaker 3: We need to dig into it. Yeah, but like being
- 4:30Speaker 3: married to Jessica is like it takes stress out of
- 4:32Speaker 3: my life.
- 4:33Speaker 2: You called her jess or Jessica both.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yeah, just depending on where we're at and what we're doing.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I did that, I guess with Laura.
- 4:39Speaker 5: But uh yeah, it's the best. Like she is a
- 4:41Speaker 5: great partner. I my life is a lot better. I'm
- 4:44Speaker 5: very happy. But she's really incredible, Like she's very sweet.
- 4:51Speaker 5: You know, her and Kaylin are good friends. Her and
- 4:52Speaker 5: Laura are good friends, Like they're just they want to
- 4:55Speaker 5: make our lives better, which is really wild to have
- 4:58Speaker 5: that in somebody.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Y'all spend a lot time apart, a.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Ton of time apart do Yeah, a lot of time?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Is that just work and just your lives are going
- 5:06Speaker 2: different directions?
- 5:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean she's she has I think probably the
- 5:09Speaker 5: most successful esthetician clinic in Denver. Like she is very busy,
- 5:15Speaker 5: and so she's down there Monday or Tuesday through Friday,
- 5:18Speaker 5: sometimes Saturday and Sundays. I travel probably once a week
- 5:22Speaker 5: to do something for generous or something for iHeart or something.
- 5:25Speaker 5: And it's actually great because she grew up in a
- 5:29Speaker 5: household her where her dad traveled two or three days
- 5:31Speaker 5: a week, and then when day he came home, everybody
- 5:34Speaker 5: was super excited to see him. And so when we
- 5:36Speaker 5: get together, like both very excited, but we never get
- 5:38Speaker 5: sick of each other. It's it's like when we're in
- 5:40Speaker 5: bed watching a movie together, it's like our vacation.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Because you're you're like that too, right, because you're you're
- 5:48Speaker 2: off going, yeah, kill him in Jarrow or I don't know,
- 5:53Speaker 2: living in a tree.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Yeah, But Ben's got his successful nonprofit Jess as her
- 5:57Speaker 4: successful esthetician clinic. Kaylen and I are both unemployed, so
- 6:00Speaker 4: we spend a lot of time together.
- 6:02Speaker 2: But you do know, Yeah, one of the things, honestly,
- 6:05Speaker 2: one of the things I really appreciated about Kaylen and
- 6:07Speaker 2: I can't remember where I ran into her and we
- 6:09Speaker 2: had this conversation. God, what was it? But anyway, what
- 6:13Speaker 2: I loved is she was talking about you in such
- 6:16Speaker 2: a glowing way and how she really seems to correct
- 6:20Speaker 2: me if I'm wrong. This might be a total lie,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but she really seems to appreciate who you are. And
- 6:25Speaker 2: I could seem someone marrying you for the excitement of it,
- 6:28Speaker 2: but then wanting to change you.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Well I'll tell you what you want to know.
- 6:31Speaker 3: What our last big fight was about changing you. Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 4: She has been getting very mad at me because I
- 6:37Speaker 4: tend to pick my nose in public.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Like I'm talking mad, like mad, I'm going to take
- 6:45Speaker 3: I don't see the problem here, Like I think she's
- 6:47Speaker 3: a good partner.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I know I should back up my bro.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Here when you say she's not trying to change me, Oh,
- 6:53Speaker 4: she's trying to change me.
- 6:54Speaker 2: So that's a big deal. The nose picking.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Well, I'll tell you, why is this a hill?
- 6:57Speaker 4: You're gonna die if you have a book in your
- 6:59Speaker 4: nose and you can't get it through the traditional means
- 7:01Speaker 4: of a tissue, kleenex or whatever.
- 7:03Speaker 3: You need to pick it. What if I'm out in public,
- 7:05Speaker 3: I'm not going to wait until I'm in private to
- 7:07Speaker 3: pick it.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Disagree, I don't want to look underneath your car seat.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Oh no, I had a buddy who's a nose picker
- 7:13Speaker 5: in the car and underneath. Yeah, so when she brings
- 7:18Speaker 5: us up to you, because this is like, this is
- 7:21Speaker 5: a very good thing for her to bring up for
- 7:22Speaker 5: you to you.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Were you embarrassed initially like defensive?
- 7:27Speaker 5: Like no, no, like or were you just like I
- 7:29Speaker 5: want to keep doing this because I enjoy it one
- 7:31Speaker 5: thousand percent the ladder of that.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I say, Hey, I'm picking my nose, Like I'm sorry,
- 7:36Speaker 4: it's just a fact of being with me.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Like you have to accept it. And it's funny.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Like I said, we actually had a legitimate argument about
- 7:43Speaker 4: me picking my nose in public.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's amazing though, that you actually stood up for yourself, Like.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Damn it, damn it, woman, this is me.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not exactly you know, you're chewing loudly, are like,
- 8:00Speaker 2: I don't love that you eat corn nuts in bed
- 8:02Speaker 2: or something. I don't know, but it's like I'm gonna
- 8:04Speaker 2: pick my nose.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Yeah, well it's funny. Actually, I think I can share
- 8:07Speaker 4: this without getting in too much trouble. She goes to
- 8:09Speaker 4: therapy often, which I think is great for everyone. And
- 8:12Speaker 4: she said she told me the story that she brought
- 8:14Speaker 4: it up with her therapist, the whole nose picking fight,
- 8:16Speaker 4: and her therapist goes, I think that you're you you
- 8:20Speaker 4: just are a little envious of his care free lifestyle.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Is me paraphrasing what the therapist.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Picking represents a lifestyle? Okay, I get this. Yeah, so
- 8:30Speaker 2: it's she's not mad about the nose picking.
- 8:32Speaker 4: She wants she well, and she is, and she'll be
- 8:35Speaker 4: at the first admit that she's a little like not
- 8:37Speaker 4: high strung, but she's a pageant girl, you know. So
- 8:39Speaker 4: they've got to have their all their crap together and
- 8:42Speaker 4: the opposite of that, I live in I've lived in
- 8:43Speaker 4: a van for a bunch of years. So, uh, that's
- 8:45Speaker 4: what the therapist said.
- 8:46Speaker 3: There. She was like, well, not that you're like envious of.
- 8:49Speaker 4: The care free lifestyle that he has. But like that's
- 8:52Speaker 4: just like the disconnect there. Can I follow up with
- 8:54Speaker 4: the question.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, is this about nose picking? Can we move on?
- 8:57Speaker 5: No a little bit, A little bit here, And I
- 9:00Speaker 5: want to ask Chris's advice to here.
- 9:04Speaker 2: In marriage because I have a big nose. Yeah, okay,
- 9:06Speaker 2: I get it.
- 9:07Speaker 3: In marriage, like it is beautiful, it is great.
- 9:11Speaker 5: But one of the things that jess Can I take
- 9:13Speaker 5: very uh, we make very important in our life is
- 9:16Speaker 5: to stay attracted to each other, like either that be
- 9:19Speaker 5: working out, going on dates, dressing up for each other,
- 9:22Speaker 5: you know, like if one of us is using the restroom,
- 9:24Speaker 5: like play little music so that the person can't.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Hear you or whatever.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Like, there's things that we've tried to do just to
- 9:29Speaker 5: keep a little bit of the mystery alive.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And the intimacy going.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I would say, from Caitlin's perspective, if Jessica was picking
- 9:38Speaker 5: her nose in public all the time, I think for me,
- 9:40Speaker 5: it wouldn't be that I care that much of you're
- 9:42Speaker 5: doing it, other than the fact that it might gross
- 9:44Speaker 5: me out just enough where I'm like, I don't know
- 9:46Speaker 5: if I want to have sex with you anymore? Yeah, ever, ever,
- 9:49Speaker 5: is that I mean, like so is that we're a
- 9:52Speaker 5: little bit of where this is coming from.
- 9:53Speaker 2: You.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Well, of all the things I'm doing, picking my nose
- 9:55Speaker 4: is like the not the least unattractive or not the
- 9:57Speaker 4: most unattractive. I guess, like I said, I've age ten
- 10:01Speaker 4: years and three, so I'm seven years ahead of the
- 10:03Speaker 4: curve on that. I've gained twenty pounds, lost all muscle tone.
- 10:07Speaker 4: So yeah, I guess I'm just kind of leaning heavy
- 10:09Speaker 4: into the I'm going to be unattractive from this point forward,
- 10:12Speaker 4: you know. But I do agree with what you're saying, and
- 10:15Speaker 4: one of my resolutions is to get in the gym
- 10:16Speaker 4: more and get back to like being comfortable with myself again.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Like when I was on the Bachelorette the first time.
- 10:21Speaker 4: When I first met Chris, I was like in the
- 10:22Speaker 4: best shape of my life. I was thin, I kind
- 10:24Speaker 4: of had some abs. Those labs are so long gone,
- 10:27Speaker 4: and I do think.
- 10:28Speaker 2: That I need to let me just jump in.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I've never had them. Yeah, but you at least have
- 10:32Speaker 4: something under there, you know. I don't. I don't think
- 10:35Speaker 4: I have much of anything. So I do agree I
- 10:37Speaker 4: didn't need to get back into the lab and start
- 10:38Speaker 4: making her more attracted to me in certain ways. Maybe yeah, keep.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Dating, keep dating.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I mean, I think it is very important. To your point, Ben,
- 10:46Speaker 2: I always want to date Lauren, but I'm always I
- 10:49Speaker 2: actually truly always want to. Like I think it's important too,
- 10:53Speaker 2: but I actually really do want to. It's fun and
- 10:57Speaker 2: and she's the first person I've loved enough in my
- 10:59Speaker 2: life where I want to do that.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I am.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I agree, Keep keep the mystery alive, keep it, you know. Look,
- 11:04Speaker 2: I know some of the bloom is off the rose
- 11:06Speaker 2: your mayor. We've been living together, built a life together.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It's not all, you know, fantasy suites. But I think
- 11:12Speaker 2: it's important. I really do. I think that life is important.
- 11:15Speaker 3: How do you keep it? How do you keep that going? Though?
- 11:17Speaker 4: It is my question, Like we still go on date
- 11:20Speaker 4: nights and stuff, you know, And it's it's funny too,
- 11:22Speaker 4: because it's such a tale of two sides, Like Kaylen
- 11:24Speaker 4: gets hotter every single day and I get uglier every
- 11:26Speaker 4: single day, so she is stunning.
- 11:28Speaker 3: It does.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Scales are definitely uneven.
- 11:33Speaker 3: They've always.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I think it always takes effort, and it's funny even
- 11:38Speaker 2: the little things about dating, continuing to date, you can
- 11:42Speaker 2: fall into the trap of the mundane and repetitive of
- 11:45Speaker 2: we always kind of do the same thing on date
- 11:47Speaker 2: night now and now date night's not even special, so
- 11:50Speaker 2: it's always kind of just mixing it up, of doing
- 11:52Speaker 2: stuff that's different, leaving little notes, little just things that
- 11:56Speaker 2: are out of the ordinary different. The problem with I
- 11:59Speaker 2: have with Lauren she is really tough, like she if
- 12:03Speaker 2: she doesn't like something, she comes from a family of lawyers.
- 12:06Speaker 2: She will just tell you. Like if I bought her
- 12:09Speaker 2: this watch one time, this really was hard for me
- 12:12Speaker 2: to take. It was a very beautiful watch. It was
- 12:13Speaker 2: very expensive and it was early on and I gave
- 12:17Speaker 2: it to her and she's like, why would you get
- 12:19Speaker 2: me a watch? Have you ever seen me wear a watch?
- 12:22Speaker 3: And I said.
- 12:24Speaker 2: No, that's the point. I said, you've I've never seen
- 12:26Speaker 2: you with a watch. And I thought, how great, there's
- 12:28Speaker 2: this beautiful watch. She's like, you know, and I'm like,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I was crestfallen. Man, I was heartbroken. I've never had
- 12:38Speaker 2: anybody like reject you know, just fake it, right, But
- 12:42Speaker 2: she won't. She's like, why would I fake it?
- 12:43Speaker 4: I said, but what's worse that or her receiving it
- 12:46Speaker 4: and then just never wearing it for the next however long.
- 12:48Speaker 3: You know, I.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Agree, No, I'm happy now I understand. I'm like, I
- 12:52Speaker 2: would rather just go get something with you, Like when
- 12:55Speaker 2: we picked out her ring, I'm like, I'm just going
- 12:57Speaker 2: to go with you and let's build the ring you want.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I'm like, and that's so I did for our engagement,
- 13:01Speaker 2: because I learned my lesson is I bought her just
- 13:03Speaker 2: a very simple solitaire and then I said, this is
- 13:07Speaker 2: just the centerpiece. You go build the ring around it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: And that's what we did. We are up here in
- 13:24Speaker 2: have we told people.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Where we are Carmel. We do this trip every year.
- 13:28Speaker 4: We've done it for the past few years at least.
- 13:30Speaker 5: So one of the benefits of having a podcast with
- 13:33Speaker 5: iHeart are these trips that we get to do together.
- 13:35Speaker 5: And over the years we've invited all these people who
- 13:38Speaker 5: are coming through Bachelor Nation and you know, maybe in
- 13:43Speaker 5: the headlines or just like the most current lead.
- 13:46Speaker 2: People, we just really want to hang out.
- 13:48Speaker 3: But now it's.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Turned into people that not only are recent but like
- 13:51Speaker 5: that we just really want to hang out with and
- 13:53Speaker 5: we catch up on our lives, we get to spend
- 13:56Speaker 5: some time together. It really becomes a celebration. We have
- 14:00Speaker 5: to do some fun stuff. We're here this week because
- 14:02Speaker 5: the AT and T pro am is going on at Pebble,
- 14:05Speaker 5: uh and it's a really fun week.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That's very active city.
- 14:09Speaker 5: It's a cool city and so uh yeah, we'll put
- 14:11Speaker 5: up some good content for all of our shows.
- 14:13Speaker 3: We'll be catching up with a lot of people.
- 14:15Speaker 5: But really this is just people we want to hang
- 14:17Speaker 5: out with now, Like, let's find an excuse to hang
- 14:19Speaker 5: out again.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Like, it's been fun texting with you guys as we've
- 14:21Speaker 2: been leading up to this, and like Guiney texted me
- 14:23Speaker 2: last night, He's like, Okay, I'm gonna admit I'm excited.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 2: So Guinea's here, Firestone's here, the three of us, Wells
- 14:29Speaker 2: Adams of course his brother Brett. I just don't know.
- 14:32Speaker 2: He's like a penny just rub me. Yeah, I just
- 14:35Speaker 2: keeps showing up.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Yeah, he's everywhere.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I'm excited you're here with the group because I feel
- 14:39Speaker 4: like you're always up here this same of year, but
- 14:40Speaker 4: we haven't had the chance to all spend time together.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been I guess I well, I used to
- 14:44Speaker 2: play in the AT and T. It's changed so this year.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's weird because it's this not to get into golf,
- 14:50Speaker 2: but it's an elevated event, so it's like half the
- 14:52Speaker 2: field and half the celebs and all that. So but
- 14:55Speaker 2: the cool thing is there's some absolute studs up here,
- 14:57Speaker 2: so it to be fun. It'll be it'll be a
- 15:00Speaker 2: great time. And I know I've never been able just
- 15:02Speaker 2: to hang.
- 15:02Speaker 3: With you guys.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and we're here at the La Petite yeah PLI.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard to find on a map, but it's
- 15:08Speaker 3: a great hotel, a.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Very cute hotel.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Yeah, there's hotel. There's two of them.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I mistakenly brought us to the Ocean one and
- 15:14Speaker 4: we're at the the eighth Avenue one.
- 15:17Speaker 2: But I love this town. This is one of my
- 15:19Speaker 2: favorite places in the world, just this part of Carmel, Monterey,
- 15:22Speaker 2: the peninsula out here.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Is it tough with you traveling to places like this
- 15:26Speaker 4: because when I for firm experience when I go, like
- 15:29Speaker 4: when Kaylen and I came here for the first time. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 4: we're walking around and she's like, I want to live
- 15:33Speaker 4: here more than anything in the entire world because it's
- 15:35Speaker 4: so beautiful and so great. And I was like, Kayln,
- 15:36Speaker 4: look at that house. It looks like crap. It's seven
- 15:38Speaker 4: million dollars, you know, seventeen Yeah, but even like the
- 15:42Speaker 4: bad ones are seven million.
- 15:43Speaker 2: No, it's insane here. I've looked at prices here.
- 15:45Speaker 5: She's never been here. She's coming for the first time. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 5: this will be your first trip. And she's a huge reader.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Uh, and she loves like little bookstores and cafes and
- 15:54Speaker 3: good dinners. And so I was like, if you do
- 15:56Speaker 3: any trip with me this year, this is a trip.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I really When she come on, I think you're gonna love.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Well, this is how great this place is. Lauren comes
- 16:01Speaker 2: with me when I play. She loves it. I mean
- 16:04Speaker 2: we usually stay at the lodge over there at Spanish
- 16:06Speaker 2: or wherever. And it's like you walk on pebble Beach.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It's just this town is great to get lost in. Yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 2: little little tasting rooms, just stopping at some oysters and
- 16:14Speaker 2: some chowder, and it's cool. It's everything's kind of cozy here.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Even the airport's got the good chowder the airport.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah, l Z, it's really weird. She told
- 16:22Speaker 2: the story. She's a big chowder person and she will
- 16:26Speaker 2: eat she will eat the weirdest stuff no matter where
- 16:28Speaker 2: it is. And her some of her favorite chowder is
- 16:31Speaker 2: at the Monterey Airport. No way, But what's your take
- 16:34Speaker 2: on she took it on the plane.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not a big deal. That's a bad deal, clams.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I closed.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Ashley just brought a tuna sandwich on the plane last week,
- 16:43Speaker 5: and I gave a really hard time.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It's a bad movie.
- 16:45Speaker 5: She's not here, right, She's not here because she nat
- 16:48Speaker 5: I'm pregnant now, kid, So I do have a rundown
- 16:51Speaker 5: of who's here this week, and so I want to
- 16:53Speaker 5: make sure to give everybody.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Uh so, let's.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Film me it because I I don't mean to be
- 16:57Speaker 2: a well yeah, I kind of do, but I don't.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I probably won't know some of these people. You have
- 17:02Speaker 2: to fill me in.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Sure, Yeah, so I ask anybody you don't know, and
- 17:05Speaker 5: and Dean and I will give you the run down.
- 17:07Speaker 3: That'll be fun.
- 17:08Speaker 5: So uh, outside of us, So, Kaylin's here, Wells is here,
- 17:11Speaker 5: Sarah's coming up, Wells's wife love her most.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I was just with him last week. Sarah got this
- 17:17Speaker 3: incredible tour of Disney that was wild.
- 17:19Speaker 2: That was weird. We need to talk about that.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Bob Guiney and his wife Canyon obviously Horne Zema
- 17:26Speaker 5: is here.
- 17:26Speaker 2: She's pretty hot.
- 17:28Speaker 5: So now we're getting into the people that you might
- 17:30Speaker 5: have questions about. Okay, Kathy schwartz you know Kathy schwartz
- 17:33Speaker 5: Is I don't know Kathy Schwartzel. It was a recent
- 17:36Speaker 5: uh maybe at one point in her life. She's in
- 17:39Speaker 5: her seventies. Oh, she was on the Golden Bachelor. Susan Knowles,
- 17:43Speaker 5: who was on the Golden Bachelor, also a model. Yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 5: I mean probably a model. She was the one that
- 17:49Speaker 5: officiated the wedding. She's a brain surgeon, is she really?
- 17:52Speaker 5: I think she's an efficient Okay, that's the same thing.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Justin Glaize and Susie Evans. So Justin Glaze on a
- 18:00Speaker 5: recent season he had to be a stunt man, and Susie.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Evans was the one that Clayton picked.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Now, they recently just announced their dating and they came
- 18:10Speaker 5: all the way here to give us some exclusive content
- 18:13Speaker 5: and interviews about their dating life.
- 18:14Speaker 2: This is exciting.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Andrew Firestone and Havana Firestone, Brett Adams, as he said,
- 18:20Speaker 5: and then Jason Tartick is here as well.
- 18:23Speaker 3: So that's the list of the people that have came
- 18:25Speaker 3: to Carmel.
- 18:26Speaker 2: That's a good mix. It's a good honestly though. Here's
- 18:28Speaker 2: the thing. One of the things I love about iHeart
- 18:30Speaker 2: and being a part of this is, you know, I
- 18:32Speaker 2: will meet these people at some point and it's like
- 18:35Speaker 2: it's it's great because obviously I haven't been a part
- 18:37Speaker 2: of the franchise for I don't know, got three or
- 18:38Speaker 2: four years now, so I don't know so many people
- 18:41Speaker 2: that have been a part of the show, and and
- 18:43Speaker 2: when I you know, and obviously I don't watch, and
- 18:45Speaker 2: so I don't know the storylines and all that. But
- 18:46Speaker 2: when I meet these people, nine times out of ten,
- 18:49Speaker 2: they are unbelievably lovely and it's fun to kind of
- 18:51Speaker 2: add them to the family. There was one one guy,
- 18:53Speaker 2: forget who was one of he was I think he
- 18:55Speaker 2: might have been the Bachelor or something. He lives in Austin,
- 18:57Speaker 2: Zach maybe Zach.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he's a good guy.
- 19:00Speaker 4: I want to hear about the one out of ten
- 19:01Speaker 4: times stories oh for another time, for no time.
- 19:04Speaker 2: No, there's I mean, look, even you know, people always
- 19:07Speaker 2: ask me, and I'm sure they asked you guys, do
- 19:09Speaker 2: you like everybody? Or who's you know? And most of
- 19:12Speaker 2: the time I liked the Bacheler I liked the Bachelorette,
- 19:14Speaker 2: but there's always those outliers that you just don't get
- 19:16Speaker 2: along with. It's impossible. We've met thousands of people at
- 19:20Speaker 2: this point after twenty years. You know they're not all great.
- 19:23Speaker 5: There's more people that I like than I don't like.
- 19:26Speaker 5: But there's definitely people that I have would prefer never
- 19:30Speaker 5: to see again.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Like who give us one name, Give us one name.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I can't do that. I'm not that guy.
- 19:38Speaker 2: But I felt like we just made eye contact. We're
- 19:40Speaker 2: thinking of the same person.
- 19:40Speaker 3: I think I'm.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Three one two three webs answer that. But now I.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Think Wells has worn out as welcome.
- 19:55Speaker 3: I's be honest, he's been around. But Dick, it's going
- 19:57Speaker 3: to be a good group.
- 19:58Speaker 5: You can look forward to good cond I'm actually excited
- 20:01Speaker 5: because I've been with them and they love the show
- 20:04Speaker 5: when you were on the show, when you were there,
- 20:06Speaker 5: and they're very funny, and they're they have so much
- 20:08Speaker 5: energy and they love getting together so much. They're very
- 20:11Speaker 5: sweet women who are just gonna have a blast year
- 20:13Speaker 5: and double down the amount of wine that you and
- 20:16Speaker 5: I could drink together. They will consume on their own.
- 20:19Speaker 2: You want to talk about Disney Okay, when does it
- 20:23Speaker 2: become weird that six adults with no kids are at
- 20:32Speaker 2: Disney with the shirts and the ears and all that.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I'm just I'm not judging.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I'm just saying you're asking questions. Yeah, can I ask
- 20:41Speaker 3: a question to return?
- 20:42Speaker 2: No, just gut instinct. Six adults at Disney with no kids.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I think it really depends on the amount of times
- 20:51Speaker 4: that you go. If you're going once a week, yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 4: that's weird and bad, not bad. I don't want to
- 20:54Speaker 4: say bad. Disney adults are cool. I will say one
- 20:58Speaker 4: set of every ten years, maybe it's okay.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you're telling me, l Z. If you were like,
- 21:03Speaker 3: we're gonna.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Go to Disney, those zero chances she's going to Disney.
- 21:07Speaker 2: We don't like We don't like crowds, we don't like amusement.
- 21:10Speaker 5: No, but if you had a plaid, which literally I
- 21:12Speaker 5: know refers you to the back, yes.
- 21:14Speaker 3: To all the rides you're in and out of those things. No.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I look, I've talked to LZ about this.
- 21:19Speaker 3: She's a Disney girl.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Oh god. No. We like Disney movies and stuff like that.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I mean, were not anti Disney, but we would never
- 21:27Speaker 2: go to Disney World or disneyl like that would be
- 21:29Speaker 2: our nightmare.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I will tell you this, it was.
- 21:31Speaker 5: That would be a last So what we did was
- 21:34Speaker 5: we did have the whole tour thing. Yeah, we got
- 21:37Speaker 5: to ride all the rides and then we'd drink around
- 21:40Speaker 5: the world at Epcot one day. It was a really
- 21:44Speaker 5: fun trick I went.
- 21:45Speaker 2: So, I mean, my kids grew up around Disney because
- 21:47Speaker 2: obviously when I started the show, the kids were born
- 21:49Speaker 2: Abc Disney, same family, so I got the benefit of
- 21:54Speaker 2: seeing it through my kid's eyes. And in all seriousness,
- 21:56Speaker 2: I loved it, and we got to do some crazy
- 21:57Speaker 2: things Disney cruises and all that. I just know it's
- 22:02Speaker 2: one of those things I'll never go back. Interesting because
- 22:05Speaker 2: I just make my kids are in their twenties now,
- 22:07Speaker 2: and unless maybe my grandkids go or something. But yeah,
- 22:11Speaker 2: I wouldn't go as an adult.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I think after going, I would only say the reason
- 22:16Speaker 5: we want to go back, it's kids would be unless
- 22:19Speaker 5: we had a guide. Again, yes, because all we we
- 22:23Speaker 5: actually played a game where we had a drinking game
- 22:26Speaker 5: about how many kids we saw one on leashes and
- 22:29Speaker 5: then two crying, and it looked it looked like a
- 22:32Speaker 5: terrible day for a parent, like, unless your kids are
- 22:34Speaker 5: a certain age, it looks like a Really.
- 22:35Speaker 2: It's a nightmare. It's an expensive nightmare. And you're doing
- 22:38Speaker 2: this and you get back to the hotel, you're like,
- 22:40Speaker 2: why did I just spend twenty grand?
- 22:42Speaker 4: I gotta say, after hearing both of the guys talk
- 22:44Speaker 4: about it, I'm more on your side now. I don't
- 22:46Speaker 4: think I'll ever go to Disney unless it's like a
- 22:47Speaker 4: work function for whatever that means. If a friend's out
- 22:50Speaker 4: of town visiting and they're like dying to go, then
- 22:52Speaker 4: maybe I would go. But I would never you know,
- 22:54Speaker 4: ask Kayln if she wants to go to spend the
- 22:56Speaker 4: week at Disneyland.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Is it is still a magical place? Will like?
- 23:00Speaker 5: There was moments like on Guardians of the Galaxy where
- 23:02Speaker 5: I felt like a kid again. There were rides that
- 23:04Speaker 5: I got very scared for or very nervous for. Uh,
- 23:08Speaker 5: it's a different perspective, but I would still I would
- 23:11Speaker 5: encourage anybody to go as an adult. I think Jessic
- 23:13Speaker 5: and I, even if it was just the two of us,
- 23:16Speaker 5: would have had a great time because without the plaid,
- 23:21Speaker 5: well it's hard to say the plaid is really nice.
- 23:24Speaker 2: There's no lines, you get ride right as wild. I mean,
- 23:27Speaker 2: you feel a little guilty. Laura and I've had this
- 23:28Speaker 2: discussion too, where you know, it was my my ex
- 23:31Speaker 2: wife and the kids and we'd be there and it
- 23:34Speaker 2: was kind of you had to tell the kids because
- 23:35Speaker 2: you kind of go in through the exits and you know,
- 23:37Speaker 2: you're standing across and everyone's been standing in line for hours.
- 23:39Speaker 2: They're giving you the death stare, and I'm like, don't
- 23:41Speaker 2: don't look at them, just don't look at them in
- 23:43Speaker 2: the eye. You're just we're just let's get on. Let's
- 23:45Speaker 2: just act like things out of normal here, because you
- 23:48Speaker 2: really feel very small and horrible, not so much that
- 23:52Speaker 2: you won't do it.
- 23:52Speaker 3: No, I did it. I did it. You guys want
- 23:54Speaker 3: to hear the story that I haven't shared yet.
- 23:56Speaker 5: But I'm I'm pretty fearful of roller coasters and it
- 23:59Speaker 5: took me a bit to kind of get into them.
- 24:01Speaker 5: But we went on the Tower of Terror, which is
- 24:03Speaker 5: maybe my most not.
- 24:04Speaker 2: A roller coaster, you're just bouncing up and down in
- 24:06Speaker 2: your chair, yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 3: But definitely the ride I was most nervous for that.
- 24:08Speaker 5: I was hoping nobody wanted to go on, but they did,
- 24:11Speaker 5: so I'm in the back and I'm like this, this
- 24:13Speaker 5: isn't my thing, Like I don't enjoy this, the heights
- 24:17Speaker 5: and everything. And so I'm sitting in the back of
- 24:19Speaker 5: the ride and the door is closing, and what Chris's
- 24:25Speaker 5: point is, you do come through the exit. So everybody's
- 24:27Speaker 5: kind of maddie you or there staring at you, and
- 24:28Speaker 5: they're like, this is stupid.
- 24:30Speaker 3: And there's this little girl. She can't be any more
- 24:32Speaker 3: than ten years old. She looks at me as the
- 24:34Speaker 3: doors closed. This is not a joke. You can ask anybody,
- 24:36Speaker 3: and she goes.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Hey you, hey you, and I look up. She goes,
- 24:40Speaker 5: you're gonna die tonight. You can ask.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Wells Brad say.
- 24:49Speaker 5: They all heard it, and I'm in the back and
- 24:51Speaker 5: they already knew I was nervous, and they all look
- 24:52Speaker 5: at me and I'm like.
- 24:56Speaker 2: That's like some like shining stuff. That's crazy.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Internextor I think she was just very angry that we
- 25:02Speaker 5: cut the line, and I think she was trying to
- 25:03Speaker 5: get back in me.
- 25:04Speaker 2: But I thought, it's not even the ride, like I'm
- 25:05Speaker 2: going I'm going to haunt you, I'm gonna kill you.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Look, you guys had the whole ride to yourselves that
- 25:10Speaker 3: we did. Okay, yeah, by the way.
- 25:12Speaker 2: That's just what a bunch of elitists. No, look, it
- 25:17Speaker 2: looked like y'all had fun. I just I don't know, man.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I just like if you called me and said, hey, like, well,
- 25:23Speaker 2: Sarah Jessn are going, I'm like, yeah, No, Like, we'll
- 25:27Speaker 2: meet you guys for dinner.
- 25:29Speaker 4: What would it take to get you a minus the grandkids?
- 25:31Speaker 4: What would it take do you think to get to
- 25:32Speaker 4: you to Disneyland?
- 25:32Speaker 2: A massive amount of money. It would be a huge
- 25:36Speaker 2: endorsement deal, which I don't think is gonna happen now
- 25:38Speaker 2: after this endorsement. I just I did it. But you know,
- 25:42Speaker 2: it was a phase of my life with my kids,
- 25:44Speaker 2: and it was I will say, I get it like
- 25:46Speaker 2: I saw it through their eyes. And when you do
- 25:48Speaker 2: see it through your children's eyes, you know, you go
- 25:51Speaker 2: through the phases too. Of the first time you go,
- 25:53Speaker 2: you're not even really going on rides as much as oh,
- 25:55Speaker 2: let's go see the princesses, let's go see Mickey Mouse.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You do all that, and then you go, you know,
- 26:00Speaker 2: the small rides, teacup, and then you graduate to the
- 26:03Speaker 2: roller coasters, and I will say, Disneyland and Disney World
- 26:06Speaker 2: are very different. When you're with a plaid, as you
- 26:09Speaker 2: call it, you kind of are just in a van
- 26:12Speaker 2: all day. You drive a lot. When you're Disneyland, you're
- 26:15Speaker 2: just you go out of the park and you're there
- 26:16Speaker 2: all day. But so you're like, oh, we want to
- 26:18Speaker 2: go on this ride. You drive to the back of
- 26:19Speaker 2: that ride and you go and it's it is, it's heaven,
- 26:23Speaker 2: it's I see.
- 26:24Speaker 4: The marketing material now after they hire you, the a
- 26:27Speaker 4: bunch of quick shots. You haven't fun at the very end.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Disney even Chris Harrison likes it now.
- 26:33Speaker 2: So maybe I can be convinced.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Sarah, Sarah and my wife are like huge Disney kids,
- 26:39Speaker 5: Like they're just grown adults that love Disney the song.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yes, yeah they are.
- 26:43Speaker 5: They find magic and seeing everything there and I really
- 26:47Speaker 5: had a good time.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I want to bring up a subject because I've never
- 27:01Speaker 2: talked about this ever, and I want to know if
- 27:05Speaker 2: you remember this me. Yes, okay, Dean, So we're in Paradise.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Did you do you do Paradise? Just once?
- 27:14Speaker 3: I did it second time?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so I don't know if it was first
- 27:16Speaker 2: or second, but so so what happens is when we
- 27:20Speaker 2: get to rose ceremony. It's four or five in the
- 27:22Speaker 2: morning whatever, and we separate the men and the women,
- 27:25Speaker 2: right because we're about to go into the rose ceremony.
- 27:27Speaker 2: And if you remember in Paradise, I don't know if
- 27:29Speaker 2: it's still like this, but they would choose each other,
- 27:31Speaker 2: so you had to separate, finish up interviews and all that.
- 27:34Speaker 2: So the women would be taken like up to the
- 27:36Speaker 2: dinner area they little gathering where the bar is, and
- 27:39Speaker 2: the guys we'd usually kind of take down to the
- 27:41Speaker 2: beach where Wells is at the bar, and and so
- 27:44Speaker 2: we're down at the beach. I'd come hang with you guys.
- 27:46Speaker 2: So we had like an hour. You got to turn
- 27:47Speaker 2: the room around and get the you know, cameras set
- 27:50Speaker 2: and the director's taking a look at the lights and
- 27:52Speaker 2: all that. So there's like an hour and a half
- 27:54Speaker 2: where we're just killing time. And so we're all really tired.
- 27:56Speaker 2: And so you and I are down there, we're staying
- 28:00Speaker 2: together at the beach, and you say to me, it's
- 28:03Speaker 2: like and again it's so late and we're tired, and
- 28:05Speaker 2: you go, so you have enough money to retire, right
- 28:11Speaker 2: do you?
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah? Why do you do this?
- 28:18Speaker 2: And I said, yeah, Dean, I said, you know, I
- 28:20Speaker 2: honestly probably could you know, step away and live a
- 28:23Speaker 2: pretty good life. And you go, so why do you
- 28:25Speaker 2: do this? Why why are you still working? And that
- 28:30Speaker 2: is stuck with me.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Man, it's hot.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yeah, kind of like that little girl says she's going
- 28:36Speaker 2: to murder you. I was like, huh. And you know
- 28:40Speaker 2: my initial reaction was and my answer was, I honestly
- 28:44Speaker 2: like what I do? I enjoy TV. I like making TV.
- 28:49Speaker 2: But at the time, I thought, you know, maybe I
- 28:53Speaker 2: don't like I'm I'm on this beach at four in
- 28:55Speaker 2: the morning with a bunch of people, some of my.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Life drunk years old, I drunk twenty three year olds.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And I'm like, I'm away from my kids, I'm away
- 29:01Speaker 2: from my family, and I don't think I was married
- 29:03Speaker 2: at the time, but I'm like, if I was dating anybody,
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm away from whoever I'm dating, and you know, I'm
- 29:08Speaker 2: not going to date anybody. And at the Vedanta so
- 29:11Speaker 2: it's like, you know, it's like a weird, lonely month.
- 29:13Speaker 2: And that's how I spent my life, was separate, lonely
- 29:16Speaker 2: months of just traveling around the world. And I'm like,
- 29:19Speaker 2: it really stuck with me, and so I asked Dean.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I said, well, if you could walk away, would you?
- 29:27Speaker 2: And I don't if you remember what you said. You said, yeah, man,
- 29:29Speaker 2: if I could like make enough money to live for
- 29:31Speaker 2: a month or so, I'm going to drop out and
- 29:35Speaker 2: go live for a month. Yeah, and then I'll come
- 29:37Speaker 2: back and make enough to live for another month. And
- 29:39Speaker 2: I thought, what kind of like how Calin resents you
- 29:42Speaker 2: for how free? I thought, this guy really hasn't figured
- 29:46Speaker 2: out maybe like and maybe I'm like on this, I'm
- 29:49Speaker 2: like a Gerbil on this like treadmill.
- 29:51Speaker 3: You want to so about that?
- 29:53Speaker 4: So the first time I did the show, the first
- 29:54Speaker 4: few times I did the show, I would just resort
- 29:56Speaker 4: to drinking the whole time, because you know, you have
- 29:58Speaker 4: a lot of downtime and you're around a of people
- 30:00Speaker 4: that you kind of know but don't know super well,
- 30:02Speaker 4: so you just drink just to like ease the tension
- 30:03Speaker 4: or whatever. That season, I wasn't I didn't drink announce alcohol,
- 30:07Speaker 4: and so I was around all these drunk people the
- 30:09Speaker 4: whole time, and so I didn't want to listen to
- 30:10Speaker 4: anyone talk. So I was just like literally sitting there
- 30:12Speaker 4: thinking all the time.
- 30:13Speaker 3: And then it just hit me. I was like, what
- 30:15Speaker 3: is he? What is he doing this? What is he
- 30:17Speaker 3: doing here?
- 30:18Speaker 2: Why is he staying in a suit and tie on.
- 30:20Speaker 4: A beach in the middle of a monsoon, Like we're
- 30:22Speaker 4: on a mont soon? Hold right now? Oh my gosh,
- 30:25Speaker 4: that's funny.
- 30:26Speaker 3: But you did it. I mean, you gave the best
- 30:27Speaker 3: answer possible.
- 30:28Speaker 4: And I do see your point, Like, if you really
- 30:29Speaker 4: love doing it, that's great, but you I mean, I
- 30:32Speaker 4: think where I was coming from with it was you've
- 30:34Speaker 4: done it for so long, You've already kind of like
- 30:35Speaker 4: established and proven your worth and all that stuff, and
- 30:39Speaker 4: like if I was I think what I was actually
- 30:40Speaker 4: thinking was if I was in your position, I would
- 30:42Speaker 4: just golf every single day. And I know you love
- 30:44Speaker 4: golf too, So that's kind of what I was coming from.
- 30:46Speaker 2: But you know what's funny is so when I left
- 30:48Speaker 2: the show and I decided to part ways with them,
- 30:51Speaker 2: I thought about that question, and I cause I had
- 30:54Speaker 2: such relief. And Ben and I have talked a little
- 30:56Speaker 2: bit about this, about that weight off my shoulders, and
- 30:59Speaker 2: I really you know, and I've I've mentioned before how
- 31:02Speaker 2: things were very toxic and you guys know what was
- 31:04Speaker 2: going on and all the things behind the scenes, and
- 31:08Speaker 2: so yeah, I was. When I left, I'm like, you know,
- 31:12Speaker 2: those words kind of stuck with me. I'm like, why
- 31:13Speaker 2: was I there? Like I wasn't happy. I was kind
- 31:17Speaker 2: of I kind of lied to myself and lied to
- 31:19Speaker 2: other people of how happy I was. And I realized
- 31:21Speaker 2: later he's right, like I love doing what I do
- 31:25Speaker 2: for a living. I enjoy this passion of TV, but
- 31:29Speaker 2: that wasn't it anymore. And and it's it was really
- 31:32Speaker 2: weird how that, like that really hit me. And I
- 31:35Speaker 2: was even thinking about it in the shower this morning
- 31:37Speaker 2: because I knew you and I were going to be
- 31:39Speaker 2: talking and I remembered that, and I'm like, he was right,
- 31:42Speaker 2: like I wasn't happy, And I was thinking, did he
- 31:45Speaker 2: know I wasn't happy at the time?
- 31:47Speaker 3: You know?
- 31:48Speaker 2: Was he looking into my soul? And so I was.
- 31:51Speaker 2: It was really interesting how I never told you how
- 31:53Speaker 2: much that stuck with me. And I don't know if
- 31:55Speaker 2: you said it flippantly or if you actually meant to
- 31:58Speaker 2: have that deep of a conversation.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Well, it's kind of hard to pull away from everything
- 32:02Speaker 4: I was going on to try to, but I was
- 32:03Speaker 4: genuinely just curious about it. I remember the first time
- 32:06Speaker 4: we met too. I walked up to you. We were
- 32:07Speaker 4: at the Bachelor mansion and I was like, hey, Chris.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Remember I don't know if you remember this, but Tomorrio
- 32:11Speaker 4: and Rachel or even their whole big thing. He came
- 32:13Speaker 4: back to the mansion. Everyone's outside, and I walked up
- 32:15Speaker 4: to you and I was like, hey, Chris, how's it going.
- 32:16Speaker 4: You look at me dead in the eyes, and you go, Dane,
- 32:18Speaker 4: I'm doing really really well, man, how are you?
- 32:20Speaker 3: And I was like, the does he know my name?
- 32:23Speaker 3: How does he have any idea who I am right now?
- 32:26Speaker 4: And that's really suck with me a lot too, actually
- 32:28Speaker 4: funny enough, but I remember I got back into the
- 32:30Speaker 4: mansion later that night and one of my buddies, who
- 32:32Speaker 4: I was like kind of buddies, but at that point,
- 32:34Speaker 4: was like he thought I was a producer plant because
- 32:37Speaker 4: he's like, I'm pretty sure Chris doesn't know anyone's name
- 32:39Speaker 4: here except for yours.
- 32:40Speaker 3: And I was like, that's news to me. That's it.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I remember, you know, especially back in the day, I
- 32:46Speaker 2: would I used to get a book on everybody. They'd
- 32:49Speaker 2: give me a book and I would memorize everybody's name,
- 32:51Speaker 2: where they're from. I mean I used to have a picture,
- 32:53Speaker 2: but then I kind of went by the wayside, and
- 32:55Speaker 2: then I would just get to know people through through
- 32:58Speaker 2: the show, and inevitably, the producers would obviously tell me, Hey,
- 33:03Speaker 2: there's this guy Dean we really like. They would tell
- 33:05Speaker 2: me who the front runners, you know, of who we
- 33:07Speaker 2: thought it was. It didn't always turn out that way,
- 33:09Speaker 2: but they're like, oh, this Ben guy is gonna be
- 33:11Speaker 2: really good. But yeah, I was. And some people just
- 33:14Speaker 2: get to kind of hit it off with more than most,
- 33:16Speaker 2: and that night one I would, you know, usually kind
- 33:19Speaker 2: of walk through the house, get the vibe and kind
- 33:21Speaker 2: of see some people, and then the producers would tell
- 33:23Speaker 2: me to get the hell out. They're like, I'm bugging
- 33:24Speaker 2: you know, I'm bugging everybody and ruining the mood or whatever.
- 33:28Speaker 2: But I was curious with Ben, if you could walk
- 33:31Speaker 2: away right now, I don't know what your number.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Is, if you could last for a month and then
- 33:35Speaker 4: like go back in a month and start working.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Well, let's say let's say let's say I don't know,
- 33:38Speaker 2: let's say general numbers like twelve twelve million. Let's say
- 33:42Speaker 2: you hit that twelve million Mark, that's my number. Would
- 33:46Speaker 2: you walk.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Away from what, like everything everything just kind of chill.
- 33:51Speaker 2: And maybe just keep your passion project, whatever you truly
- 33:53Speaker 2: love or do you love what you do?
- 33:56Speaker 5: Generous woulde hundred percent stay? The coffee would one hundred
- 33:58Speaker 5: percent stay. I dream like one day of doing that
- 34:02Speaker 5: when I'm like and like people ripping it from my hands. Yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 5: everything else, Like if if I heart said hey, here's
- 34:11Speaker 5: twelve million.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Bucks ADVI say I'm good, see you guys a podcast anymore,
- 34:17Speaker 3: I'm out, Like that would just be nice. So if
- 34:20Speaker 3: anybody wants to do, that'd be great.
- 34:22Speaker 5: But there's a few things in my life that would stay,
- 34:25Speaker 5: but not I. You know, I think for me, what's
- 34:28Speaker 5: happened oddly, and as I'm listening to him thinking about this,
- 34:33Speaker 5: you had like a very successful career, You had built
- 34:37Speaker 5: something you were, you were known you were, you know,
- 34:39Speaker 5: you're crushing it, you're in it, and you easily could
- 34:42Speaker 5: have said, hey, I'm done, and everybody been like, well done,
- 34:46Speaker 5: Like you put your heart and soul into this thing
- 34:48Speaker 5: right there? Really isn't that for me right now? Like
- 34:51Speaker 5: there isn't that. Generous is the closest thing to it.
- 34:53Speaker 5: The podcast has been going on for eight years. It's
- 34:56Speaker 5: getting close to what I feel like, Hey, if anything
- 34:58Speaker 5: were to happen to it, or if like it ends,
- 35:00Speaker 5: then maybe somebody would say that was a good run,
- 35:03Speaker 5: Like you did well, that you worked hard on, that
- 35:05Speaker 5: you busted it for it. It's getting closer and closer.
- 35:09Speaker 5: It feels like something that could stick with me. But
- 35:11Speaker 5: I don't have that thing right now. Necessarily they're all
- 35:15Speaker 5: pretty new and and so I don't know what to
- 35:18Speaker 5: be walking away from.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll admit I got competitive. I'm a hugely competitive person,
- 35:24Speaker 2: whether we're golfing, playing checkers, whatever. I'm just I've always
- 35:27Speaker 2: been competitive. I hate losing, and so I definitely got
- 35:31Speaker 2: caught up in that. Of Partly I enjoyed the show,
- 35:34Speaker 2: but also I enjoyed like hosting Miss America and getting
- 35:38Speaker 2: you know, the next thing and the next thing. I've
- 35:40Speaker 2: always like been a chaser of things. That's always been
- 35:44Speaker 2: my mo to this day, I'm always chasing things. That's
- 35:49Speaker 2: where I don't know if it's where I get my happiness,
- 35:51Speaker 2: but I'm definitely happiest when I'm doing that. I have
- 35:55Speaker 2: a hard time just shutting it down.
- 35:58Speaker 5: I had to rip it away two years ago when
- 35:59Speaker 5: I went through I mean I moved back home. Even
- 36:02Speaker 5: when Jessica and I were dating, I moved back home
- 36:04Speaker 5: because it was like that time that we've well Dean
- 36:07Speaker 5: and I have experienced probably where you like the Bachelor
- 36:09Speaker 5: and then stuff isn't getting You're not getting calls anymore,
- 36:12Speaker 5: You're not getting the opportunities used to and like it
- 36:14Speaker 5: was an identity crisis where stuff was It felt like
- 36:17Speaker 5: I was trying to be competitive but nothing was working,
- 36:20Speaker 5: like nobody was responding to anything.
- 36:23Speaker 3: And that was hard.
- 36:24Speaker 5: And so that took about six months for me to
- 36:26Speaker 5: kind of reposition and find something new. So what are
- 36:30Speaker 5: you now? Like, what is what is that competitive?
- 36:33Speaker 2: Like?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Where's your outlet?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Well, there was a part of me, a really sick
- 36:37Speaker 2: part of me that when everything happened, I kind of
- 36:40Speaker 2: got excited again. It took a minute, but to start over,
- 36:47Speaker 2: like to start from ground zero, I can start. I
- 36:49Speaker 2: can do anything now. And look, yes, there was the
- 36:52Speaker 2: cushion of I had twenty years worth of very great
- 36:55Speaker 2: success and money and all that. But I was able
- 36:58Speaker 2: to kind of reinvent myself and figure out what I
- 37:02Speaker 2: really want to do, and that that to me is exciting.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I love a blank slate. I love that exciting. Like
- 37:07Speaker 2: there was I remember there's a long time ago that
- 37:11Speaker 2: there was a show deal or no deal that Howie
- 37:13Speaker 2: Mandel was doing. They were moving it into syndication, and
- 37:17Speaker 2: there's other this this other game show and they had
- 37:20Speaker 2: asked me to come in an audition and I and
- 37:22Speaker 2: I hadn't auditioned in a while. I just typically what
- 37:25Speaker 2: happens was I mean, I hate to say this, but
- 37:27Speaker 2: when you get to that level of the bats or
- 37:28Speaker 2: and when you're doing all that stuff, usually you just
- 37:30Speaker 2: get a call like, hey, we want you to host
- 37:32Speaker 2: Miss America. Hey will you host who wants to be
- 37:35Speaker 2: a Millionaire? That stuff is appro They approach you, you're not
- 37:38Speaker 2: approaching them. And so there was this show and they
- 37:41Speaker 2: had me auditioned for it and I had to, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 2: read the sides and go through the process. And I
- 37:46Speaker 2: was I was nervous, and I was excited, and I
- 37:48Speaker 2: hadn't had that much fun in a long time. And
- 37:51Speaker 2: just that fear of failure and the ability to fail,
- 37:56Speaker 2: I think, is a very exciting thing to me. It's enticing.
- 37:59Speaker 2: It's why I like, It's why I like playing in
- 38:01Speaker 2: these celebrity things. Is walking on that tightrope and not
- 38:04Speaker 2: having a net below you and really being able to
- 38:06Speaker 2: fall on your face is exciting to me. I don't know.
- 38:10Speaker 2: The being so nervous you can barely stand it and
- 38:15Speaker 2: having to go out and perform is fun. To prove
- 38:19Speaker 2: to yourself you can do it, and to harness that
- 38:21Speaker 2: and to walk out in front of an audience or
- 38:23Speaker 2: do whatever, and you know you're good at what you
- 38:25Speaker 2: do and to actually do it, to me is phenomenal.
- 38:28Speaker 2: I love that. I still get off on.
- 38:29Speaker 3: That by this therapist a long time ago.
- 38:32Speaker 4: This is kind of tangential here, but this therapist a
- 38:35Speaker 4: long time ago who said to me obviously that I
- 38:38Speaker 4: like to dig myself into a hole just to see
- 38:40Speaker 4: if I can get myself out of it. Yeah, not
- 38:41Speaker 4: saying that's what you're doing, but there is something to
- 38:43Speaker 4: be said about, Like for you, you're saying the grind
- 38:47Speaker 4: never stops, like you're always excited to achieve new things
- 38:49Speaker 4: and that type of stuff. For me personally, I know
- 38:52Speaker 4: no one asked, but I'll answer the question anyways. I
- 38:55Speaker 4: feel like I'm looking for a generous or I'm looking
- 38:59Speaker 4: for something that I can like wake up for wake
- 39:02Speaker 4: up and be excited to accomplish that day.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And it hasn't hit me yet.
- 39:07Speaker 4: But I have gotten to this point now where you know,
- 39:10Speaker 4: you come off the show and I'm sure you experienced
- 39:11Speaker 4: this too, where brands are just gonna give you money
- 39:15Speaker 4: for posting a picture. You don't have to work especially
- 39:17Speaker 4: hard for it. You just have to do what they
- 39:19Speaker 4: ask and then they'll pay you. And it's like it's
- 39:21Speaker 4: in me, at least over the past couple of years.
- 39:23Speaker 4: It's embedded this like laziness in me where I'm just like, oh,
- 39:27Speaker 4: I don't need to do anything. This brand is just
- 39:28Speaker 4: gonna give me money for posting a picture, So what
- 39:30Speaker 4: does it matter? And it's gotten frustrating. It's not feeding you,
- 39:33Speaker 4: oh not at all. I'm really disappointed in myself because
- 39:36Speaker 4: I don't have like the fire that I once had
- 39:39Speaker 4: a long time ago, when I was living paycheck to
- 39:41Speaker 4: paycheck and you know, if I didn't get paid.
- 39:43Speaker 3: One week, I wouldn't be able to pay rent.
- 39:45Speaker 2: So like if you had a dream, like you're like, okay, Dean,
- 39:47Speaker 2: here's ten million dollars, go start this. What yeah, what
- 39:51Speaker 2: do you know? That's what would that be.
- 39:53Speaker 3: I asked myself that every single day.
- 39:54Speaker 4: When I went on the Bachelorette, i quit my job
- 39:56Speaker 4: and I was like, in one year, I'll have my
- 39:57Speaker 4: dream figured out.
- 39:58Speaker 3: And it's been six years now, seven years now. It's crazy.
- 40:02Speaker 4: And that's why I'm so envious of you guys who
- 40:04Speaker 4: have been able to find your niche or your whatever
- 40:07Speaker 4: it is and really just lean into it and be
- 40:09Speaker 4: successful at it, you know.
- 40:10Speaker 5: Well, and part of that is just I had a
- 40:13Speaker 5: friend say, hey, like, this is You're never gonna do
- 40:15Speaker 5: this thing. Well, like, this is never if you try
- 40:18Speaker 5: to stay relevant and if you run this race, you've
- 40:20Speaker 5: never been made for this. You've got to You've got
- 40:23Speaker 5: to find something that could be bigger than yourself.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Well, he's right, I mean eventually it it is a
- 40:29Speaker 2: roller coaster ride it you know, what goes up must
- 40:31Speaker 2: come down. It's like it's so yeah, I agree, it's
- 40:33Speaker 2: like trying to chase that relevancy is impossible, you know.
- 40:38Speaker 2: But I will take umbrage of you're going to stay
- 40:43Speaker 2: relevant like you are the rest of your life. You're
- 40:46Speaker 2: going to be relevant to a certain degree. It won't
- 40:48Speaker 2: be the super hot you know that that you were,
- 40:52Speaker 2: but you're always gonna be relevant. Both of you are, like,
- 40:54Speaker 2: so you're always gonna have a modicum of fame and
- 40:56Speaker 2: a modicum of acknowledgment in that way. It's just how
- 40:58Speaker 2: you use it and that will change. And that's that's
- 41:01Speaker 2: something I learned a long time ago. I came to
- 41:04Speaker 2: it from a very different place than you guys did,
- 41:06Speaker 2: because you guys were shot out of a cannon. You know,
- 41:09Speaker 2: y'all went from zero to one thousand miles.
- 41:11Speaker 5: Being done like that was maybe the hardest part. We
- 41:13Speaker 5: didn't we don't have any tangible skill sets.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Well, well it was, I would well, I mean, that's that's
- 41:18Speaker 2: cutting yourself short, both of you. The problem is what
- 41:22Speaker 2: I found interesting in watching you guys, and I say
- 41:25Speaker 2: you guys in the plural of everybody on the show.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I had a steady assent, so I had a wonderful foundation.
- 41:33Speaker 2: And that was honestly easier for me because I have
- 41:37Speaker 2: a foundation of television. I've been doing it for over
- 41:39Speaker 2: thirty years, from broadcasting and majoring in it. When you
- 41:43Speaker 2: guys were shot out of a cannon, it was almost
- 41:45Speaker 2: unfair because like, well, y'all don't have the foundation, so
- 41:48Speaker 2: you had to quickly start building something that you weren't
- 41:51Speaker 2: even aware of. You didn't even know what you were building.
- 41:53Speaker 2: And so I admired that in both of you that
- 41:55Speaker 2: you found a niche and you've both held onto it
- 41:58Speaker 2: very well and built businesses around something that.
- 42:01Speaker 1: You know.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I know, people listening to this go, oh, well, it's
- 42:03Speaker 2: so easy. I was like, he was on a show
- 42:05Speaker 2: and he did this, and he did this. It's like, no, man,
- 42:08Speaker 2: think about how many people have flamed out, how many
- 42:10Speaker 2: people have gone by the wayside, and you guys have not.
- 42:12Speaker 2: I admire that. I really respect both of you for that.
- 42:15Speaker 2: And and you know, Kaylin the same way. And some
- 42:18Speaker 2: of these others who have come through the show and
- 42:20Speaker 2: Becca and who have really made a life out of
- 42:22Speaker 2: something that didn't start that way. And that's not easy.
- 42:25Speaker 3: I gotta say, Becky might be doing the best out
- 42:27Speaker 3: of any of us girls killing it. Yeah, you know.
- 42:31Speaker 2: And it's honestly, it's easier for women. It is much
- 42:34Speaker 2: easier for women to do brand endorsements. They get thrown
- 42:36Speaker 2: a lot more.
- 42:38Speaker 5: I don't sell anything, like I don't know what people
- 42:40Speaker 5: want me to sell, but like my wife sell a
- 42:44Speaker 5: bajillion products, and I do the same thing, and it's
- 42:46Speaker 5: like two people.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Lauren does a lot more than me. Yeah, you know,
- 42:49Speaker 2: and I have ten times the followers. Yeah, but it's
- 42:53Speaker 2: the women have you know, because those are the purchasers,
- 42:56Speaker 2: those are the people that.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Are buying things.
- 42:57Speaker 2: And but yeah, I mean, I I'm excited for my
- 43:01Speaker 2: next chapter either is. I'll tell you guys, there's some
- 43:06Speaker 2: exciting stuff coming up very soon.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Goodness, gracious, very since the best teas we've ever got.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Can we just end on that?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's I'm really I haven't been this
- 43:14Speaker 2: excited in a long time, and can anymore. Well, I'll
- 43:16Speaker 2: say this to your point, I thought about your question.
- 43:20Speaker 2: I do love what I do. I'm very excited to
- 43:24Speaker 2: get back to it. And but I learned from my
- 43:28Speaker 2: mistakes of don't just do it to do it, don't
- 43:32Speaker 2: don't just jump into something. I want to be happy
- 43:35Speaker 2: and I want to love what I'm doing, and so
- 43:36Speaker 2: I was able to find a passion project and something
- 43:40Speaker 2: I truly love and do this with the woman I love,
- 43:44Speaker 2: and I cannot wait. There is something very imminent, very
- 43:48Speaker 2: exciting on the horizon. I haven't talked to anybody about it,
- 43:51Speaker 2: Like literally, you two are the only one outside the
- 43:54Speaker 2: outside of my bedroom that I've talked to this about.
- 43:56Speaker 3: But do you have a lot of energy right now?
- 43:57Speaker 2: Like are you Yeah, I'm on a high right now. Yeah,
- 44:00Speaker 2: it's I'm really excited. I've been this excited in twenty years.
- 44:04Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be cool.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Well, and you Morena are kind of a power couple too,
- 44:07Speaker 4: I would say, like, she's always been a great broadcast.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Now this Laura, Okay, I knew I was going to
- 44:13Speaker 3: say yes, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 44:18Speaker 4: You guys are like, she's so she's so good at
- 44:20Speaker 4: what she does and obviously you had twenty years is
- 44:23Speaker 4: an incredible run for anything.
- 44:25Speaker 2: So she's a badass. And in my dream and you
- 44:28Speaker 2: talk about what you want to love and I was like,
- 44:30Speaker 2: if I do something, I'm doing it with you, like
- 44:33Speaker 2: I never again will I? And I hate to say
- 44:36Speaker 2: never because my mom always taught me not to, so
- 44:38Speaker 2: it always rings in my ears when I say that word.
- 44:39Speaker 2: But you know, I'm not going to be alone on
- 44:42Speaker 2: the road ever again. Living that life, it was a
- 44:45Speaker 2: it was a very empty life. I was very blessed
- 44:47Speaker 2: and people have heard me say this many times. I
- 44:49Speaker 2: loved what I did. I am not at all begrudging
- 44:52Speaker 2: that life. It was wonderful and it changed my life.
- 44:55Speaker 2: But I'm not going to go back to that. I
- 44:56Speaker 2: have the choice now to not go back to it.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I guess that's what I should say.
- 45:00Speaker 3: And you at all to me, I do.
- 45:02Speaker 2: And when I say you, I mean Ben.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Chris.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Just before we go, I do have a funny story
- 45:08Speaker 5: because I'm so excited for you.
- 45:10Speaker 3: I mean, you know that.
- 45:11Speaker 5: I think you're the best to ever do it. So
- 45:14Speaker 5: whatever this next thing is, I think.
- 45:15Speaker 3: It's gonna go. But thank you.
- 45:18Speaker 5: I want to know if this is true, because if
- 45:20Speaker 5: if it's not, I've lied to Hannah, who works on
- 45:23Speaker 5: our show. We just recently rented out the Bachelor Mansion
- 45:27Speaker 5: and did a whole kind of similar thing there. We
- 45:29Speaker 5: brought in a lot of cool people, did a lot
- 45:31Speaker 5: of interviews in one night, and we specifically our room
- 45:35Speaker 5: for almost famous was a closet, and I said, I
- 45:36Speaker 5: think this is where Chris used to sleep on the
- 45:40Speaker 5: first night on.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Front Door two rights no upstairs master bedrooms? Was I wrong?
- 45:46Speaker 2: Or that was like life was so janky back in
- 45:50Speaker 2: the day, Like towards the end, I got a trailer
- 45:52Speaker 2: and stuff like that. But in the beginning, well, I
- 45:55Speaker 2: first started shooting there. We did stuff so on the cheap,
- 45:57Speaker 2: and and so we would use that master closet and
- 46:02Speaker 2: as not only a dressing room, but it was the
- 46:04Speaker 2: only place I could hang where I knew no cameras
- 46:07Speaker 2: would come nobody would come in, and so I would
- 46:09Speaker 2: just lay pillows down and I would climb under in
- 46:12Speaker 2: the closet under the racks, and that's where i'd sleep
- 46:14Speaker 2: until they got me.
- 46:15Speaker 5: They were shocked. The team was shocked. I was like,
- 46:17Speaker 5: I think, this is this is what Chris was telling me.
- 46:20Speaker 5: Is the room that he was Gina and Carrie.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Gina obviously wardrobe and Carrie, uh my wonderful makeup sorry
- 46:26Speaker 2: by Carrie Wardrobe, Gina my makeup artists for many, many years.
- 46:30Speaker 2: And so yeah, we'd hang out in there and just
- 46:32Speaker 2: sit and talk, and I would go to sleep. And
- 46:34Speaker 2: that was one hundred percent. Slept in that closet so
- 46:37Speaker 2: many nights, and that's when I thought.
- 46:40Speaker 5: What am I doing? That's this is it?
- 46:45Speaker 2: Man? And uh, you guys, obviously you've rented it from
- 46:48Speaker 2: a friend of mine. Yeah, you know, I know the
- 46:50Speaker 2: owners of that house because.
- 46:52Speaker 3: There's two of them.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and so they they they owned that house. So
- 46:57Speaker 2: their son went to high school with my son and
- 47:00Speaker 2: they played lacrosse together. So it was really funny. The
- 47:04Speaker 2: year in lacrosse party was at the mansion. Wow, but
- 47:08Speaker 2: it was at Marshall, So Marshall as my friend Harridan
- 47:11Speaker 2: is who owns that house and so Marshall and you know,
- 47:13Speaker 2: I was there and I was.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Like, this is really weird a house.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Yes, so like their TV is there there there, I've
- 47:20Speaker 2: never seen it unbachelorized. I've only seen it, so I was.
- 47:24Speaker 2: It was. I'm like, oh, don't don't sit there, don't
- 47:27Speaker 2: do not want to go on that hot top, guys,
- 47:30Speaker 2: I wouldn't keep your hands up. But it was really
- 47:32Speaker 2: weird to go in and like have dinner at their
- 47:34Speaker 2: house and just hang out. It was so weird, like
- 47:37Speaker 2: just very meta world's colliding.
- 47:39Speaker 3: It was weird to be there.
- 47:41Speaker 5: I'd never seen it unbachelorized either. It's very weird too,
- 47:44Speaker 5: but it wasn't. It was kind of bachelorized.
- 47:46Speaker 4: When we were there was no furniture, the place was empty. Sure, sure,
- 47:49Speaker 4: but it wasn't it wasn't a home.
- 47:50Speaker 2: It'd be weird to go back. Do they still shoot there?
- 47:53Speaker 2: They do, so they still shoot the show like the
- 47:55Speaker 2: first couple. Okay, So I don't know it'd be weird
- 47:59Speaker 2: to go back. I mean, I know Marshall really well,
- 48:00Speaker 2: and I you know, it'd be weird to be back that.
- 48:03Speaker 2: I don't know what it would feel like.
- 48:04Speaker 3: It felt weird for me. There's a lot of memories.
- 48:06Speaker 5: I Jess was there, so I was kind of showing
- 48:08Speaker 5: her around and then yeah, I mean it's the start of,
- 48:13Speaker 5: you know, the next chapter of her life for you know,
- 48:15Speaker 5: at least of people sitting in this room, every one
- 48:17Speaker 5: of us showed up to that.
- 48:18Speaker 2: That would be weird. If you and Jess had sex
- 48:21Speaker 2: with the mansion.
- 48:22Speaker 3: Yeah, how do you know? He didn't?
- 48:23Speaker 2: And you know did I hope you did? But what
- 48:26Speaker 2: if you knocked her up and you, like, you like,
- 48:27Speaker 2: conceived your baby at the mansion.
- 48:30Speaker 4: In the closet that Chris Harris underneath the racket clothes.
- 48:35Speaker 5: All right, Hey, we got to get to dinner. We
- 48:37Speaker 5: have a big week, a big week of content coming
- 48:40Speaker 5: out with some incredible people.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Again.
- 48:42Speaker 5: We're in Carmel, California. I gave you the list of
- 48:46Speaker 5: people that are here. It's gonna be really fun. We
- 48:48Speaker 5: got to get to dinner with everybody though, and say, hello,
- 48:50Speaker 5: it's gonna be fun dinner. It's gonna be weird, and
- 48:51Speaker 5: it's gonna be it's always weird, awkward fun, and then
- 48:55Speaker 5: everyone is. It's that first kind of like four or
- 48:57Speaker 5: five minutes, everyone's like, what do I do with my hands?
- 49:00Speaker 2: And then we kind of have a cocktail, and then
- 49:02Speaker 2: it's it's gonna be great, and then then all of
- 49:04Speaker 2: a sudden, it's four in the morning.
- 49:05Speaker 3: That's a lot of our friends it is.
- 49:06Speaker 2: It's gonna be a great time, like we you know,
- 49:08Speaker 2: when we did this h in Santa Barbara is the
