Man Charged in Pickens County Double Homicide | Huntsville News
A 45-year-old man from Pickens County, Alabama, George Birmingham, has been charged with capital murder in the double homicide of Justin and Lena Elrod, 43 and 42, found dead in their home after a violent attack involving a reciprocating saw or blunt force trauma. Birmingham, arrested at the scene, also faces burglary and drug possession charges. Authorities say he broke into the residence after the killings and are still investigating the motive.
