- 0:14Speaker 1: I've never seen my day where you're not feeling great.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Well, this is great.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Because you know I'm moving up in the world of
- 0:20Speaker 3: Kevin Potter Radio here. Oh okay, you know, of course,
- 0:23Speaker 3: you know we do tell gay talking yep and not
- 0:25Speaker 3: sure you know, famous world wide.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Everybody knows that. But now I've moved live. There you
- 0:31Speaker 1: go recorded stuff over there with Evan in the hot room.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Now we have moved to the live broadcast.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You're in the chill room, guys, Yeah, you're in the
- 0:39Speaker 1: chill room. Hey, Chris. First of all, tell us a
- 0:42Speaker 1: little bit about the Geateway First Bank. Who are you?
- 0:45Speaker 1: How long you've been here? What do you do? Give
- 0:47Speaker 1: us a little bit every day? Okay, okay, yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So Gateway First Bank was founded or was bot about
- 0:57Speaker 3: a little over eight years ago, okay, bot and by
- 1:01Speaker 3: Gateway Mortgage. You know, Gateway Mortgage is a huge oh yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 3: one of the largest mortgage companies in the Nation, and
- 1:08Speaker 3: so Gateway Mortgage bought Gateway First Bank actually a bought
- 1:12Speaker 3: Farmers Exchange bank out in western Oklahoma, switched it to
- 1:15Speaker 3: Gateway First Bank.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Started off like that.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I went to work almost five years or forty, it'll
- 1:23Speaker 3: be four years in October now, wow, good?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and come to work. Kyle Hubbard.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Guy, I worked with former president here of a bank
- 1:32Speaker 3: here here in Bartlesville, and he's now the CEO of
- 1:35Speaker 3: Gateway First Bank, the whole thing, not Gateway First Bank,
- 1:38Speaker 3: but just the mortgage, the whole thing. So incredible person,
- 1:42Speaker 3: very well known and respected here in Bartisville.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So come to work here and then let's see.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Next month will be our third year since we've had
- 1:52Speaker 3: an actual bank here about Regent Bank downtown. Everybody knows
- 1:56Speaker 3: the mural building and so about that and done well.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You know, we continue to grow. Got Philip Moses right here,
- 2:05Speaker 3: our branch manager. It's an incredible job and way excited
- 2:09Speaker 3: for him. Our team has grown considerably, our bank has
- 2:12Speaker 3: grown considerably. So we're just doing the best we can
- 2:16Speaker 3: to go out and serve our customers, serve our community,
- 2:18Speaker 3: and you know, it's working well.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's great. Everybody knows where you guys are just telling
- 2:24Speaker 1: you guys, tell me. You got folks who park the
- 2:26Speaker 1: cars out there and take pictures of that mural, So
- 2:29Speaker 1: finding you is not really hard. No, no, not hard
- 2:32Speaker 1: at all. Hard to down the mural, and I know
- 2:34Speaker 1: exactly where it's not too far from the tower, kind
- 2:38Speaker 1: of like right behind you exactly. Now, you've got a
- 2:41Speaker 1: lot of exciting products. You're carrying many of the features
- 2:44Speaker 1: at most financial institutions, has what separates you from the
- 2:49Speaker 1: rest of the pack, I mean in how you present
- 2:52Speaker 1: your products and how the products work for us.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:55Speaker 4: You know, a lot of the times we try to
- 2:57Speaker 4: make sure that we can fit all of the needs
- 3:00Speaker 4: of our customers wherever they're at in live. So we
- 3:02Speaker 4: have different account types that kind of kinteract with that
- 3:05Speaker 4: for them, and so we also try to make sure
- 3:07Speaker 4: that we don't charge them any unnecessary fees if we
- 3:09Speaker 4: can help it as well. So we have different products
- 3:11Speaker 4: that will help fit for me. Yeah for sure, one
- 3:14Speaker 4: hundred percent, yes, And so we try to make sure
- 3:16Speaker 4: that we're fitting everyone's needs where they're you know, a
- 3:19Speaker 4: kid trying to learn how to use their account all
- 3:21Speaker 4: the way up to you know, you're in your retirement
- 3:23Speaker 4: stage of life. We try to make sure we can
- 3:25Speaker 4: vary across all those different stages.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Man, that's a lot of stages. You must have a
- 3:29Speaker 1: lot of people.
- 3:30Speaker 2: We do have a few people, that's sure.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that you do, because I've been by. Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 1: you got quite a few in there. Very knowledgeable folks,
- 3:37Speaker 1: very friendly folks too.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure. We try to be the friendliest
- 3:40Speaker 2: in town.
- 3:40Speaker 1: If we can tell you what you keep the community
- 3:43Speaker 1: in community banking.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, and that's what we want to do. I mean,
- 3:47Speaker 3: that's that's where we're at, and that's what we want
- 3:49Speaker 3: to do. You know, we've got our Gateway Private Wealth
- 3:52Speaker 3: Division ran by Josh Randolph, does an incredible job, and
- 3:57Speaker 3: Noel Williams, and then we got David Nelson who handles
- 4:00Speaker 3: Trust Division, and all that was started right here in Bartisville.
- 4:05Speaker 3: This wasn't started Gateway somewhere else. This was started right
- 4:08Speaker 3: here in Bartisville and has just grown exponentially.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So we're way excited.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Things are going great.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Life is good. So well, you know, I see the
- 4:15Speaker 1: shirts all over town, so I know that your folks
- 4:18Speaker 1: who work at Gateway are folks who are out here
- 4:22Speaker 1: in the community, participating in a lot of different things.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So you're right there, intermissioned. Is Big Fiber in the community. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and that's what we want to be. We want to
- 4:31Speaker 1: be part of the community.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I mean, we're no different than any other bank or
- 4:34Speaker 3: business or anything else that you know. We want to
- 4:37Speaker 3: be part of Bartlesville, want to help it grow as
- 4:39Speaker 3: well as the surrounding communities.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Now we're a business hub. We're also kind of
- 4:45Speaker 1: a real estate too. People are building analysis, they're popping
- 4:49Speaker 1: out of the ground.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You help with that, Yeah, definitely. We do different mortgages
- 4:52Speaker 4: for companies as well. We do them for companies, we
- 4:54Speaker 4: do them for customers, we do them for all across
- 4:57Speaker 4: the board.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We can help out with that for them.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Wow, that's great. You know, there's a lot of folks
- 5:01Speaker 1: who are thinking, well, you know, maybe that house of
- 5:04Speaker 1: mine is just a little too small, need to move up,
- 5:08Speaker 1: or perhaps need to move down. But they might need
- 5:10Speaker 1: a little help from getting from one home to the other.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And that's where that's where the bank comes in. Kind
- 5:15Speaker 1: of makes it all happen for sure.
- 5:17Speaker 2: We can have him sit down.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Here, have those dollars make sense exactly.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Yeah, we can have them sit down one of our
- 5:22Speaker 4: mortgage people and we can definitely look over the different
- 5:24Speaker 4: scenarios and make sure it's going to fit for their budget,
- 5:26Speaker 4: for their lifeline as well.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Okay, now you have some saving tools too. I mean
- 5:31Speaker 1: everybody's heard about savings account, but we have ways to
- 5:35Speaker 1: make that really work for you, really really well.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah we do.
- 5:38Speaker 4: We got different savings accounts. We've got a high yield
- 5:40Speaker 4: savings account so it can earn a little better interest
- 5:43Speaker 4: if you don't touch it for as long. We got
- 5:44Speaker 4: different money markets accounts, and we also have CDs as well,
- 5:48Speaker 4: just you know, like a lot of other financial institutions do,
- 5:51Speaker 4: and like right now, our six months going about three
- 5:53Speaker 4: point five apy, so it's a good spot to be at.
- 5:57Speaker 3: He's good, Yeah, he's great. And we also got promotions
- 6:01Speaker 3: going all the time. We got we do you know,
- 6:03Speaker 3: come open an account, we're going to give you see
- 6:06Speaker 3: week giving them right now. It's kitchen knives, okay, you know,
- 6:09Speaker 3: and we've had what else we had here.
- 6:11Speaker 4: We've had kitchen knives, we've had coolers, we've done Our
- 6:14Speaker 4: upcoming one is going to be charcoterie boards. If people
- 6:17Speaker 4: like those pretty proper yeah, and so we've had cutting boards,
- 6:20Speaker 4: we've had all kinds of different stuff for people.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Well that's good, you know. And on top of that,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you're going to be well taken care of too, absolutely,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so this is great ya now yeah, yeah, you got
- 6:29Speaker 1: that that debit thing going on there and electronic banking
- 6:32Speaker 1: and all that.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yep, sure do you can get debit cards online banking.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We offer free bill pay service with any of our account.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Oh wow, it's good.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I got a bunch of different options for people.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's great, especially for guy my age. I still write
- 6:43Speaker 1: my checks nineteen eighty seven, so I had to stop
- 6:45Speaker 1: writing checks.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Hey, that's all right. We still do checks too.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So okay, just want to be just want to be sure.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah for sure.
- 6:52Speaker 1: That is really really cool. Do you have a website
- 6:54Speaker 1: where folks can go and maybe take a look around? See,
- 6:57Speaker 1: we sure do. Get my first dot com? Wow, that
- 6:59Speaker 1: was yeah, it's pretty simple. It does. Where am I
- 7:03Speaker 1: going Gateway? Well, there you go and find out everything
- 7:07Speaker 1: that you do, everything that they could work in your
- 7:11Speaker 1: financial world for you. That's really good.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And that can also follow us on social media on
- 7:16Speaker 3: our Martinsville Gateway Facebook pipes.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Get on that.
- 7:20Speaker 3: We're on that Instagram, So yeah, get on there, check
- 7:23Speaker 3: us out.
- 7:23Speaker 1: We love to post.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Videos of what's going on and do all that fun
- 7:27Speaker 3: stuff as well.
- 7:27Speaker 1: So you're under Graham, yeah, I think yeah, yeah, well yeah, yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I've seen it. I don't know how it worked, but okay, yeah, okay,
- 7:40Speaker 1: it works for people who were in that that world exactly. Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm still trying to capture Facebook before it captures me.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Keeps throwing me in jail. I don't know what. But
- 7:48Speaker 1: that's all about their own version of anyway. That's a
- 7:50Speaker 1: long story. We won't go there. But anyway, it is
- 7:54Speaker 1: a gateway first Bank, right downtown, right down in the
- 7:58Speaker 1: heart of everything, right there, close to the Price Tower.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Look for the mural, look for the tourists taking pictures,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and you can say, hey, that's by Bay, that's right, yeah, right.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And on top of that, you've got a nice little
- 8:12Speaker 1: promotion going on too for folks who were opening up
- 8:14Speaker 1: an account. But I think the best present you can
- 8:18Speaker 1: get is security, and security is a pretty big bottom
- 8:22Speaker 1: line for you guys.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I match, oh yeah, for sure.
- 8:24Speaker 4: We definitely like to keep minimal fraud down if we
- 8:27Speaker 4: can help it, and we try to make sure and
- 8:28Speaker 4: look out for our customers, and we got quite a
- 8:30Speaker 4: few safety precautions in place for them.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Well that's great because sometimes that's full time job.
- 8:34Speaker 3: It is, especially in today's society right now, it's ridiculous.
- 8:40Speaker 3: They'll try anything, you know, and so you know, we've
- 8:43Speaker 3: got all the safety precautions in place. And it's important
- 8:46Speaker 3: that we build relationships with our customers so they feel
- 8:50Speaker 3: comfortable come and asking us those questions about fraud and so,
- 8:55Speaker 3: and we want them to so we build relationships with
- 8:57Speaker 3: our customers so they know that we're looking out for
- 8:59Speaker 3: their best interests.
- 9:00Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's really nice because folks do have a tendency they
- 9:03Speaker 1: don't do everything online. A lot of times they come
- 9:06Speaker 1: in to do a transaction or to just to say hi, right,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and that's a great way to keep that man maintain
- 9:12Speaker 1: that a good you know communication and also the visual
- 9:15Speaker 1: presidence of one another.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Hey, you're exactly right, And that's that's a that's a
- 9:19Speaker 3: big thing going right now.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Is the younger.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Generation they want to come in back into banks now,
- 9:26Speaker 3: they do, Yeah, yeah, they they really they are wanting
- 9:30Speaker 3: to come into a bank and see somebody in person now.
- 9:33Speaker 1: So makes them feel to tour about the elderly. That
- 9:36Speaker 1: was it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Oh, just the older generation. They want to come into
- 9:40Speaker 3: the bank and see somebody. We just talk about that,
- 9:43Speaker 3: and then it now it's transitioned back to kind of
- 9:45Speaker 3: the younger crowd wants to come in and they want
- 9:47Speaker 3: to see it. So, you know, you're seeing banks all
- 9:49Speaker 3: over the place, branches that are starting to open up,
- 9:52Speaker 3: just again where they close branches before because no one
- 9:55Speaker 3: come in. Now you're kind of starting to see them
- 9:57Speaker 3: open up. So that's big, and that's why we want
- 10:00Speaker 3: to happen. We want people to come in. We want
- 10:01Speaker 3: to talk to him, we want to see them.
- 10:03Speaker 1: That's good. You know what that does. It gives them
- 10:07Speaker 1: that sense of there is somebody there. I am not
- 10:10Speaker 1: talking to my phone, I'm not talking to my keyboard.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm talking to Chris, I'm talking to Philip, I'm talking
- 10:17Speaker 1: to Rose, I'm talking to Linda. That's right, you know.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And they may or may not be working at the bank,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but I'm talking to no anyway, we're it's going to be.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's one of those things we're seeing is believing. So
- 10:29Speaker 1: I want everybody to see for yourself. Just pop in
- 10:32Speaker 1: absolutely huts, ask a few questions. They'll give you answers
- 10:40Speaker 1: to Philip, He'll give you an.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Answer and have them come in. We want to make
- 10:46Speaker 2: sure and help build those relationships with them.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So that's a gateway, a great place to save your money,
- 10:51Speaker 1: great place to do your business, great place to get
- 10:54Speaker 1: your mortgage, car loans and things like that. You know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: do you help out students to uh, we're getting to
- 11:01Speaker 1: be that time of year. Do you have like little
- 11:04Speaker 1: ways to maybe help them get stay a little bit
- 11:06Speaker 1: more focused when it comes to the money.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of one thing that that that we
- 11:12Speaker 3: do is when I talk about building that personal relationship.
- 11:15Speaker 3: You know, we we call our customers, you know, once
- 11:18Speaker 3: a quarter just to check on them, see how they're doing.
- 11:20Speaker 3: You know, we're not calling to say anything. We're calling
- 11:23Speaker 3: to let you know, hey, how are you doing things
- 11:25Speaker 3: going well? You went on that vacation, everything go well.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Remember we're here if you need us. And we do
- 11:30Speaker 3: the same thing with our students too. I mean we
- 11:33Speaker 3: we uh speaking to students. You know, we we've got
- 11:35Speaker 3: all of to use athletes accounts, so we have to
- 11:39Speaker 3: manage all their athletes their athletes accounts.
- 11:41Speaker 1: And build the relationships.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we build relationships with them and it's incredible.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So well, you know, folks, if they're doing a big
- 11:48Speaker 1: school like that, they can take care of little o us.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That's right, you know, and there ain't nothing little about
- 11:53Speaker 1: us because you know we're right here, they say exactly, Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 1: this is going to be great. This is that. See
- 11:59Speaker 1: the more you know, I'm glad we asked the questions.
- 12:02Speaker 1: That is Gateway First Bank right here in Bartlesfield and
- 12:06Speaker 1: once again just drop by uptown goes to the Price
- 12:10Speaker 1: Tower for the mural. That's them, insight. They're taking care
- 12:14Speaker 1: of your financial needs on an individual basis. You know,
- 12:17Speaker 1: this is great personal touch, able to take care of
- 12:21Speaker 1: a lot of things in a lot of different ways,
- 12:23Speaker 1: offer a lot of different products, a lot of different services.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But you're always going to get a smile. That's a guarantee.
- 12:29Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, say smiling right now if you're
- 12:31Speaker 1: watching it on the camera, smiling, spoiled I'm kidding. But
- 12:37Speaker 1: make sure that you drop by and make yourself known. Hey, Chris,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Phil make sure you come by again. Can we do
- 12:43Speaker 1: back that? Yeah?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Sure?
- 12:44Speaker 3: Okay, Well my stuff's a lot more fun than this
- 12:47Speaker 3: recorded stuff.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. You're living on the edge, you get
- 12:50Speaker 1: a little adrenaline rush. Hey all right, well thanks for
- 12:54Speaker 1: being with this, yere, and you've been watching and listening
- 12:58Speaker 1: to our community connection right here on K one, the
- 13:01Speaker 1: one you trust
