- 1:11SPEAKER_03: I am so delighted to bring you another episode from an amazing brand.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: And I have the wonderful brand founder with me here.
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: I've been really enjoying this line because I've been recently looking for product that I can really incorporate into my everyday makeup routine, something that's going to give me the skincare I need, you know, quickly.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: And then also, like, you know, when I'm doing my makeup in the mornings and have to go to rounds at 6 a.m.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: I don't have to like, you know, fidget around.
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: So without further ado, I want to introduce you guys to the founder of this brand new line called Redixer.
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: Welcome to the show.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: Um, Riham, welcome to the show.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Thank you for this nice uh interview, uh like um introduction and I love it.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: Uh thanks for having me.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, it's an honor to host you.
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: And I, like I said, I'm a huge fan of the line, you know, um, for everyone listening, I really, really love the serum specifically, the confidence serum.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: It's so wonderful and it's so like perfect for those of you who really don't like a lot of serums or you don't know what to do with your skincare.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: This is a really, really great one.
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: It's very nourishing.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: But um, Raham, I want to get started and learn all about you.
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: I want to learn about your journey and um what led to the creation of Verdixer.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: You know, did you feel like there was a white gap?
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Or I mean just walk us down memory lane if you could.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I thought okay, so there's actually two parts of the stories.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: The first story is um I'm originally from Egypt.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I moved with my husband and two um two daughters.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Uh 2013, uh, we were in New Jersey at the time, and um, my younger daughter, she was four months old.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Suddenly she started to have uncontrollable eczema.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: She was uh we couldn't figure out what to do with her.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: We moved after that, and we we went, we saw so many dermatologists and physicians, none of them were able to help her.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: Um, one time I had this argument with the physician about the medication, she needed to uh increase the dose.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: As a pharmacist, I felt like this was too much and she already has side effects, and we need to decrease it.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: We need to find out why is the reason.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: So, anyway, out of frustration, um, I went back home and decided to use my cosmetic studies in school and make something to soothe and relieve her skin for a little bit.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: Um and like I didn't expect the result, it was so good.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: Uh, her skin was way bare.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Um a little bit by little bit, she was completely out of uh like um she stopped using all the medication she was using.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: And um, I felt so good.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: After a little bit, I felt like um I need to actually deep my studies a little bit because I studied in pharmacy school um more as a medication um to use it like as a medicine, not to use it as a cosmetic and cosmetics.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: So I decided to take like courses in um advanced um skincare, natural, cosmetic, and um even perfumery, natural perfumery, and ended up by um I think nine diplomas and certificates in just natural um permeation.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, um and after that, of course, um I was applying all the products I was preparing and permeulating on myself.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Of course, with all the stress was going on, moving and studying for my equivalent exams and my daughter being sick all the time, going to the ER, so many things was going on, and um definitely my skin that all had a toll on my skin.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: I felt like my skin was super pale, I was uh I all looked dull.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: I think I spent around two years trying to avoid looking in the mirror because um I was always disappointed in how one look like my skin is so pale, or I have breakouts.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: I have acne-pone skin myself, and uh no matter what I was buying or getting, it's either I have to go through so many steps, seven, eight steps, and as a mom, as um like studying as well, and I was working, I felt like I don't have time for like so many steps at the same time.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: And the products were in the market with either like for acne where it dries out your skin, or um would like uh will make actually my skin break out even more because they're so heavy.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: So uh I think that's where things start.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: Uh I then uh started applying my product when I was taking all the courses and diplomas, and um I didn't feel bare.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: I felt like my skin was so bare.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Um, I have had a clear skin.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Uh I felt like I'm not dead, like you know, I'm not pale, I'm not zombie anymore.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: I can't wet my skin and just go, I don't have to wear makeup all the time.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: Uh I felt like um I felt like I'm alive again.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: But the thing that made me decide to start design was how I felt after that.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Because um having all this going on and not feeling good about myself, although like I'm not that person that really cares about how I look all the time.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, I'm like I'm more of a science person, like to study and doing stuff.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: I'm more very practical person, but it's still this affected me.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: Like I felt like I'm happier, I'm more productive, I'm nicer, my kids became happier.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: And I felt like my whole life it changed just by changing how I feel um about myself.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: And that's such an interesting point.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: And I completely, completely understand what you mean because so much of us, like or so many of us, ignore um this idea that, you know, what we see in the mirror and our skin health really impacts how we feel, you know, on the daily.
- 6:55SPEAKER_03: And it's not just about psychological problems, or not problems, but like, you know, feelings, it's about really, you know, your health.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: It's like, you know, your skin is, I always say this, you know, your skin is a reflection of your entire body's health.
- 7:09SPEAKER_03: If your skin is your skin is breaking out, if you're you know, experiencing dryness all of a sudden, or excessive, you know, uh oiliness all of a sudden, there's something else going on in your body that you haven't, you know, that you might not be uh addressing or you're overlooking.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: Um, and also sometimes it can just be the skin, you know, it can just be that you are around a lot of environmental, you know, pull like pollution, or you're around, you know, different temperatures, different kinds of things.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: So we have to really pay attention to these things.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: So I really like that you opened up um with the science, you know, focus, you know, uh, because I I really agree with you.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: I really agree with you there.
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: And, you know, I had mentioned one thing I'd mentioned uh in the beginning was the serum.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: And the reason I really enjoy the serum is because it's a one and done kind of thing.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: It's not something that you need to layer 15 other.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's you've got the niacinamide in here, you know what I mean?
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: You've got the the um grapeseed extracts, you've got the tea tree oil.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's everything that's your skin needs to calm down.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: And that's like the fundamental, I feel like that everyone seems to be kind of missing the mark, you know, you could say, in skin health, because they're they're just putting actives, you know, they're putting so many actives, Raham, in their skin that the skincare that it's becoming almost like a problem.
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: It's becoming detrimental now because of how many acids and you you know what I mean.
- 8:33SPEAKER_03: Like it is just it's a problem.
- 8:35SPEAKER_03: So yeah, and yeah, please go ahead.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: Go ahead, go ahead.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: No, no, please, go ahead.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that it's yeah, I totally agree with you because I felt like it's products in general, it's not just about the ingredients.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: Yes, ingredients are very important, but the lifestyle of how you will be able to stick to your skincare routine is very important as well.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Like you can have great products around you, uh, or actually on your sink or next to your nightstand.
- 9:05SPEAKER_02: But if you're not really using them and sticking to the right skincare routine every day, they're not gonna work.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Like you really have to use them.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: And um, one of the things that um I was really focusing on when it was uh formulating my products was lifestyle, how you will be able to stick to the skincare routine so you see results without compromising anything else.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, and you know, it shows because one of the things that I really enjoy is that the line is made, you know, we were discussing earlier, it's made for obviously good skin health, but it's also made to give your skin that nice little blurring effect.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: You know, the serum really helps me.
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: Um, as I was saying, Raham, in the beginning, like when I do my makeup, I don't do a lot of makeup.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: So usually what I'm doing is like concealing, you know, little areas with concealer or something like that.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: Nothing crazy.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: But what I found with your serum is that when I put it on as my first my only, you know, skincare, right?
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: And then I put on any kind of concealer, any kind of makeup, it goes on beautiful because there's already this effect, this filter effect happening because the serum is made to kind of blur your pores, give you that nice matte, you know, semi-matte finish.
- 10:16SPEAKER_03: And so that really is great for people, I think, of all different skin types.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: You know, even if you have dry skin, it's okay because the actual serum itself has enough nourishment in there to where your dry skin's gonna get taken care of, but you're gonna have this beautiful canvas on which you can really apply your makeup and do whatever it is, whether you use makeup or not.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: So, and that's very, very interesting to me because a lot of skincare lines, I think um, they're either really hyper-focused on the skincare or they're just completely focused on the, you know, the vanity of things.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: And I don't see a lot of great hybrid uh products that are right in the middle.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: So that's where I think you guys really stand out, is is that you know.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, when we when we was formulating, um, of course, after all the courses I I took and all the stuff I did, I I started to look what is missing.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: And I felt like definitely there's gaps in the market.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: And uh in today's cosmetic in general, it's not anymore about the type of skin, it's about other factors as well.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: Like we cannot, we don't, we don't see now, or actually we see it, but it's not as before that we see uh crames for dry skin only or for for um oily skin or combination skin only, because this is not how we like divide uh the skin types anymore.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: There is so many other factors that we need to keep in our consideration in order to have a good product that works for a group of people that really needs that.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: No, I absolutely agree with you.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: And I actually want to dive a little bit into the ingredients because um you had mentioned that you had, you know, your daughter had this uh issue with the eczema.
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: And I would love for you to speak to us about some of these ingredients because I know there's a lot of soothing ingredients in the formulations.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: And um, I think it's important for us to understand, you know, as listeners and consumers, that, you know, what are things that we should be looking for that are going to soothe dry skin, you know, if you have eczema, then it, you know what I mean?
- 12:17SPEAKER_03: Like you need as much soothing and anti-inflammatory as you can possibly get, you know.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: So um, Raham, I would love for you to walk us through the ingredient list if you could.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: So I would like to start first that um when I created my thinker uh in general line, uh, it was focused on anti-aging mainly for people that they suffer from sensitive skin or acne-prone skin.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: Um and I I decided, like I studied the whole thing.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: Like when someone has acne, adult acne, they will suffer from inflammation, they suffer from, of course, uh the acne, which is bacterial or fungal infection, they will have uh excess uh oil, um clogged like pores, and like I got the whole problems that they suffer from, scarring after that, hyperpigmentation.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: And then at the same time when they have um when they are aging to slow down the process and prevent the premature aging, at the same time, um help with slowing down the aging process because, again, for so many factors now um we're aging a little bit faster than we were supposed to be aging.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: Um, so I combined both of these and I tried to find um an ingredient or two or three that help and fix each problem with them.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: Um, of course, I try to combine all of them in like one, two steps only for people that have uh paced lifestyle.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: This way you'll be able to stick your skin to use your skincare routine, and also you'll be able to um get the results you're looking for faster without having to go through multiple steps.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Um so, for example, like going back to your question, um if someone having in general having eczema, it's as you mentioned before, it's not just about uh the skin, it might be something else.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: In my daughter's case, it was because she has so many allergies.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: She has allergy almost everything.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: Like she has allergy for nuts, of course, uh teafood, treanuts, um um, she has plants, I mean uh vegetables, fruits, milk, gluten, like everything, everything she has a problem with it.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: And uh to me, I didn't know I I always knew that people have allergy, but I never knew that one person could have allergy from all of that, even environmental allergies, everything.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: So everything was affecting her body.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: So to me, the very, very important point I always try to advise uh customers and anyone in general, they have to figure out why.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Why they're experiencing eczema, where why they're experiencing uh whatever they're experiencing, because if you know the why, you will be able to figure out the solution.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: So uh, and you think we need to always treat cosmetics as could cosmetics.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: It's not gonna make wonders, it's not gonna treat the body problem, it will help soothe and relieve the pain or itch uh on the skin, but it will never um treat the problem itself.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: Right, right, right.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: Giving that said, um, like in general, uh I really believe in nature and the power of natural ingredients.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: Um, I know that not everyone thinks that it's so powerful, but actually it's very, very powerful.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, gentle on the skin.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: And that's why when we did our products, we made sure it's a dermatology tested.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: This way we make sure it's not gonna cause any um reaction to the skin.
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:47SPEAKER_03: No, I think that's very important to have, you know, this like medical like check-in, you know, with dermatologists and just really kind of understand, you know, what is it that your products are doing.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: And I and I agree with you, you know, I think that you know, skincare is meant to be something, and I've said it again and again, but I'm gonna say it again.
- 16:05SPEAKER_03: It's maintenance, you know, it's maintenance, it's about maintaining and preventative measures for skin health.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: It's not about, oh my gosh, I've got all this damage to my skin, let me just hope to God that skincare is gonna fix that.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: No, that doesn't really work, you know.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: For sometimes you would do have to end up going to like a dermatologist, um, you know, or a plastic surgeon because there are is extensive damage, you know, that needs to be repaired more, you know, invasively.
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: But in terms of maintaining good health, I mean, you know, when I when we say the word maintaining, what do we think of, right?
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: We think of nutrients.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you think about, for example, your liver, and someone says you need to maintain good liver health, well, what does that really mean?
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: That means don't drink alcohol, you know what I mean?
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: Don't do things that are gonna hurt your liver, don't take too much Tylenol.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: You know, these are like little preventative measures, right?
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: And then when it comes to detox, people will tell you drink something that's going to help detox your liver.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: And there are certain things, like for example, lemon's gray.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: So same thing with skin.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: Skin is an organ.
- 17:07SPEAKER_03: So, you know, when you're approaching skin health for everyone listening, you want to find products that are like what uh Raham and I are talking about here.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: You want something that's gonna nourish your skin, you want something that's going to prevent any further exacerbations of what are is already there.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: Okay, so if you have rosacea, if you have eczema, if you have dry skin and dry patches, you don't want to be using like drying ingredients, you know what I mean?
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: Like salicylic acid and like all this stuff.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: You want things that are gonna soothe you, like the tea tree oil that I was mentioning earlier, you know what I mean, or the niacinamide.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: These are all ingredients that are made to support your skin barrier.
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: And that's why I love um Redixer's uh, you know, the the serum, because it's got that in it.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: And it's and I love that this serum is made to soothe, it's not made to further, you know what I mean, exfoliate and further damage.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: I I hate those kind of products, you know?
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: And and speaking of the serum, it's my favorite, by the way.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: It's definitely my absolute favorite.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: I have to use every day.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: Uh, and my favorite ingredient is as calming and soothing.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: You will have like alentoin.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Allentoin is very important in healing uh and speeding actually the healing process of the skin, repairing the skin repair function.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: We have the proponol, we have the hyaluronic acid, we have honey extract, we have uh the glycerin, of course, and we have um like some extracts that it's not that trendy, but they're very, very powerful.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: We have the um the yeast extract, which is I don't see a lot talking about, but it's amazing in repairing the skin and improving the cellular generation.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: Uh, we have oat uh extract as well.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: All of these are calming and improving the function itself of the uh skin.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: And this is what I was trying to always uh achieve, which is helping the skin, but at the same time improving the skin health itself.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: Because this is, as you mentioned as well, that your skin is a reflection to the body health.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: If you have acne, maybe you're going through specific factors that if you just can help yourself with it, it's gonna improve.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, you need to apply something to your skin to soothe it and help you help you to um get better skin and healthy skin, which is this is the most important, uh at least to me.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: Like it's I feel it's it's more very important to have healthy skin than just pretty looking skin.
- 19:38SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 19:39SPEAKER_03: No, 100% agree with you.
- 19:40SPEAKER_03: I think you know that's where pretty skin starts as healthy, you know.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: So I I fully agree with you.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: And I think that honestly, uh, you should make this into a mask, the serum.
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: You should like soak, make them into cheap mask because it's so good, you know, it's such a good serum.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: And I and even the moisturizer, you know, the for everyone listening, there's um three products in the range, and I I love all three of them.
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: You know, uh one of them is is kind of like a tool product, and they're beautiful globes, like the ones that you have, uh you can put in the fridge and they get really cold.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: And they're the larger ones, which I love because they're really great for like cheeks and you know what I mean, especially for people who have like rosacea, like the that size of like the globe is so perfect because it like you can, you know, you can use it on your cheek area, your chin area, the areas that get really inflamed.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: And I love it because all other products out there are really small and they're just very like you know, they'll get warm quicker or something, you know.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: And I I never really like them, but these I love your globes, those are really cool.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and I always like like anything that helps me to save some time and makes me feel good at the same like three in one, like help me to uh improve the absorption of this, like the product, improve the skin feel, like I will see better results in the morning.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, kind of if I need to do it, I'm gonna do it immediately.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: I don't because I used to lay in the bed at night every now and then.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: I feel, oh my gosh, I need to do something for myself.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, I'm doing multiple stuff all the time.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: And I need to go to the spa, I need to have a facial.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: And in the morning, of course, I'm busy, I will never do it, and I forget about it and then remember it the next day.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: But having ice globes with you at home, all that you need, just grab them for out of the I leave them in the fridge all the time, grab them out of the fridge.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Even when I'm laying down in the bed, I will just apply some extra moisturizer and then we'll massage it.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: And um, you can use it for like to help your skin feel better, but also even if you don't have any problem, the next day once you apply them, you feel like your skin is really glowing because it absorbed all the product, you get like 100% of what you applied, which is perfect.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: And the feel itself, feeling that you got this moment where to recharge and you reconnect again with yourself.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: So it's like one, two minutes of meditation.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: It's perfect if you do it for 10 minutes, of course.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: But even if you do it for a few minutes, like three, four minutes, it's perfect.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Still gonna get really good results.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I completely agree.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: And I think that's the that's the point of tools, right?
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, I feel like people get so um, they get so busy with all these different tools out there, like for guasha.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: And I'm not against it.
- 22:17SPEAKER_03: I just think you don't need that many.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: You know, you need like one good set of tools, um, whatever it is you like.
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: I personally love the globes because of everything we just talked about here, like the the cold factor, you know, anything that's cooling, I am a huge like uh advocate for anything that will help cool down your inflamed skin.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, think about it, you know, if you hurt yourself and you get some sort of like knee injury, what do they always tell you to do?
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: Put ice on it, right?
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: So that's the same idea.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: So when you put ice on your skin, um, and it's really inflamed, you're really helping, you know, not only get the inflammation to go away, but then also helping it to realize like everything's okay.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: You don't need to keep it being inflamed, you know, you have to kind of shock your body back into being normal.
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I love it.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think that your range is really nice, you know.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: I like that there's one serum, I like that there's a tool, and then there's a wonderful moisturizer.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: And for everyone out there who's looking for just a simple routine that's going to get them through, you know, um, just whatever it is.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: I I mean, I think this is a multi-seasonal product personally, because for me it's great, it's made for people with um oily skin, which I like because you can get very oily in the summer.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: So this is a really great product for those of you that want like a nice transition serum and moisturizer um coming into the spring and summer months.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: Um, it's going to really, really do the job.
- 23:38SPEAKER_03: And it's also not gonna make you feel like overly dry because I think a lot of like um the reason I'm saying all this, a lot of summer-based skincare products, and we're gonna see this very soon.
- 23:47SPEAKER_03: They're gonna come out.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: All these brands are gonna pump out gel-based products.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: And I hate those products.
- 23:53SPEAKER_03: They're not, you know what I mean?
- 23:54SPEAKER_03: Like half the time, they don't even like do anything, they don't nourish your skin, they just sit on top of your skin.
- 23:59SPEAKER_03: So I feel like the serum and this moisturizer are great as like transition, you know, transition products into the hotter months of the year.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: And um, this is part of why I just like I formulated this way.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Uh, I made sure that there's oils, um, it extracts, of course.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Like think of it as a bowl of salad where you get all the nutrients you're trying to get and all the minerals and electrolytes and everything you get from all the juicy fruits and all the good stuff.
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: And then, but at the same time, you get the protein or the oils to protect your skin and balance the skin oil.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Because um, I I have been one of the victims, to be honest myself.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: I used to every now and then, again in the past, I used to open YouTube, try to find something I can do for my skin, and I will watch someone has very nice, clear skin, and I will try to do what she did, and I find myself actually getting worse skin, or I don't, um, I didn't get the result I was looking for.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: And here, what I when when it comes to science and learning and uh trying to figure out why everything is going, is happening this way, and what how can I prevent it?
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: How can I improve the skin health again?
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: Um, you will find out that your your skin needs oils because they have fatty, essential fatty acids that are very good for the skin, and they have a function in the skin and then that's in the in the barrier of the skin.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: So you cannot just eliminate them because this is not right.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: You just need to figure out the right oils or the right ingredients for your skin to improve what whatever you have going on in your skin.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: Absolutely, and I think that's a really important topic too, Raham, because I think a lot of people are very confused about oils.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: They think that, you know, oils means you're gonna clog your pores and all this stuff.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: No, you're not.
- 25:49SPEAKER_03: You know, you need to people need to understand that the skin barrier and the actual membranes that make up your cells are all lipids, and lipids are oils.
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: So you need something that's going to help keep that skin barrier nourished and moist and like, you know what I mean, intact.
- 26:05SPEAKER_03: And if you put things that are water soluble on top, most likely those are not the things that are gonna really nourish those membranes.
- 26:12SPEAKER_03: So you want something that's lipid soluble, you want those nice oils in there that are gonna help protect that barrier, help support it.
- 26:20SPEAKER_03: You know, you don't want to be putting things that are just and like the other way around.
- 26:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, there's this thing called, you know, uh when things are lipophilic or you know, not you know, the other way around, aqueous, that's because they're made to interact with certain molecules already present in wherever you're applying.
- 26:39SPEAKER_03: So for the skin, a lot of times we make the mistake of thinking that okay, if a if a formula is more watery, it's better for our skin.
- 26:47SPEAKER_03: That's not true, you know.
- 26:49SPEAKER_03: Um, absorbing your product has nothing to do with that.
- 26:52SPEAKER_03: Absorbing your product means giving your skin what it's compatible with so that it can utilize that and really, you know what I mean, like kind of keep it in itself.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: Otherwise, it's gonna purge it out.
- 27:04SPEAKER_03: That's why a lot of times people see their products are peeling up or they're sitting on your skin's surface because your skin doesn't want that specific type of formula.
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: It doesn't want tons of water that's not gonna help it and get nourished, it wants something that's gonna, you know, mesh with its normal physiology.
- 27:21SPEAKER_03: And that's why it's so important to really keep those oils in these formulas and and really understand what their purpose is and and you know, do it right, do the right formula method, you know, don't just make something that's you know, oh, here we go.
- 27:34SPEAKER_03: We made another, you know, rose hip oil or we made another marula oil.
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: No, like we need, you know, we need to really think about this stuff.
- 27:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:43SPEAKER_03: So I think it's great.
- 27:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think it's great, Raham, what you did.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: And I and I really, really love your line.
- 27:48SPEAKER_03: I've been using it, you know, like I said, I really love it under my makeup because of all the things, reasons I pointed out, but I love it as just a daily, everyday, like morning thing, you know.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: Uh, you do sometimes when I put on serum, I don't even need a moisturizer because it's very nourishing.
- 28:03SPEAKER_03: So I love that.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: I'm so glad it's working for you.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: And any, you know, personally in summer I use only the serum because I feel I'm getting all what my skin needs, the actives, the moisturizing, the hydrating, everything is in there.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: So I personally use it, use in uh like the serum only in summer.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: Um and a good thing also is what we we're trying to do is we're trying to do everything natural.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: Um, and this way we like we don't we don't have it's not like um again, it's non-natural ingredients.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: It's more to make sure that it suits people that they have sensitivity uh to ingredients that is not natural.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Um so we we have again like alternative ingredients like a backup instead of the the um the um retinol.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: We have I'm sorry, uh and we have like the alternative of uh like of course natural natural collagen, peptides, um elastin, all of these are natural alternatives for the sensitive uh like um ingredients.
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: This way it's gonna be gentler on the skin.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Um so people that they have inflammation, they have problems with their skin, they can use it without causing problems.
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, without going through multiple steps.
- 29:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that makes sense.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: And I actually, you know, I'm glad that you you have like, you know, two products that can be really utilized.
- 29:35SPEAKER_03: Like, for example, I like the moisturizer.
- 29:37SPEAKER_03: I'm glad you brought that up because I like that as a night moisturizer.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: Um, I think it's very nice for nighttime.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: I almost use it as like a mask sometimes.
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: I've noticed it leaves my skin very like plump in the morning.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: So I'll put it on, like I'll put like a good generous amount on at night, and I'll wake up and my skin looks very hydrated, very plumped, very nourished.
- 29:56SPEAKER_03: And I just kind of you know wash my skin and it's good to go, you know.
- 30:00SPEAKER_03: So, like you want products like that, you know, at night.
- 30:03SPEAKER_03: I think the moisturizer is an excellent night cream in general.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: Um, in addition to if you're extra dry, then you can also, of course, use it, you know, as you please.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: But for me personally, I love it as a night cream.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: And and and this is actually a very important point to mention is you really need to understand your skin.
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: You need to see because our skin is different.
- 30:25SPEAKER_02: Each even each month is different than like during the whole month is different.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: Between like your uh hormonal cycle, between like stress factors, troubling, uh, stress at work, uh, maybe specific food you ate affected your skin, or we had a reaction to or sensitivity to, maybe going to a trip outside, just so many factors could affect how our skin feels.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: So you always need to understand your skin, understand when you will need moisturizing, when you will need an extra layer of something, when you will need uh just the serum.
- 30:59SPEAKER_02: And this is very important because it's not just about layering up products and expect and hope for the best.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: No, it's you need to understand your skin and figure out um how you will maintain healthy skin.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: Right, 100%.
- 31:14SPEAKER_03: No, I agree with you.
- 31:15SPEAKER_03: I think that it's a very uh personalized process, and that's really why, you know, I'm not gonna lie, like that's why on Skincare Anarchy I I try to invite on brands and founders that are really hitting different areas and different concerns because I think that this age and this era of personalization is coming to a real you know forefront now where consumers are saying, wait a minute, you know, such and such person might use this product, but it's not working for me, you know.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: So I need to find something for myself.
- 31:44SPEAKER_03: And so, you know, if if you're if you fall into that category for everyone listening, I mean, I know I do, you know, it's really good to experiment and to play around and find products that are for you.
- 31:55SPEAKER_03: You know, it might not be the thing your favorite influencer is using, it might not be the thing your sister's using or your best friend, but it's what works for you.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: And there's oh that's okay.
- 32:07SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: Like it's okay to find those products.
- 32:10SPEAKER_03: And so I really encourage you guys, you know, whenever um like every brand I invite on, honestly, Raham, like I believe in it.
- 32:18SPEAKER_03: So it's like I always tell people, you know, play around with the brands that I'm that I'm you know focusing on here and what skincare anarchy is hosting because these are the these are the founders that are creating things out of a need.
- 32:30SPEAKER_03: And that when you create something out of a need, you create solutions.
- 32:33SPEAKER_03: And so I'm you know, I'm all about that.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: And I love what you're doing, Raham.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: I love the line, it's a gorgeous line.
- 32:39SPEAKER_03: I can't wait to see what's next.
- 32:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, do you have any products in the pipeline right now or what's coming up next for the brand?
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: We definitely have some stuff is in the making.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: Uh, we're so excited to be um, we have like uh product that we're coming soon.
- 32:56SPEAKER_02: We're just not sure about the dates yet, um, but it will work very nicely with the ice globes.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: We cannot disclose yet when or what, but it's coming soon, hopefully.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: Uh, and it will complete the whole set and work together.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, just make sure.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: But yeah, that's uh that's a little bit sneak peek, but it's coming soon.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: That's so exciting.
