- The DECAF Network: Hey Stax and welcome to the checkpoint. Another question that gets asked in these catch ups is one I'm going to answer now. It's a very simple one. In fact, they're all simple. They're just really difficult to answer. But I'm going to do this one and record it because it's off the cuff. And yeah, let's see how we go. The question is, what am I waiting for? The question is, what am I waiting for? Well, before you get to that question, or the get before you get to that answer, you have to define what it is that I'm wanting to do. Like what I'm what am I waiting for in order to do this? So I'm gonna answer this in a way that is me working towards my goal of creating the checkpoint community. So what am I waiting for? What What are we waiting for in order to create this? And my answer to that is I'm waiting for people to come. I'm waiting for people to show up. I'm waiting for people to admit that They might need a little help, but at the same time, they have some good advice that other people need to hear. I'm waiting to dedicate more time to it. I am still an IT guy at the end of the day, and that's how I make my money, and that's how the bills get paid, and that's how the tax man sees me and wants to take all of my money. So I'm waiting for more time. I'm waiting For people, I'm waiting for marketing efforts to work, I'm waiting to try other methods. I'm waiting to get feedback. I'm waiting to I'm also waiting for myself to to get a bit more courage to get myself out there a bit more. ⁓ and and recording these videos is part of it. You know, whether or not people watch it, ⁓ and and to be perfectly honest, I don't care if nobody does. Just the fact that I've been able to stare in a camera and answer these questions truthfully and honestly and publish them for the world to potentially see is enough exercise for me to keep doing it more often. So that You know, I do this for the hundredth time, and if I get zero views, it doesn't matter. It's waiting for me to get more confidence, to build courage, to you know, as I say my course, and I have recorded a video on this DGAF DGAF A E. Don't give a fuck about anybody else. And as much as I sprook that in my course, you know, at times. It it ⁓ it takes a little reminding. Thankfully, I've been able to do that more consistently. ⁓ and doing doing stuff like this, like recording myself and publishing it and then telling people in my social media that I've done this. That's a big step. It's a big step for me. You know. It's I am one of those people that never really Took to social media to brag. I'm not a I'm not really a a bragging kind of guy. I never really ⁓ wanted to tell people about the things that I've done, the things that I've bought, my dreams and wishes and all this sort of stuff and my accomplishments and achievements. That was never me. I wasn't the, hey, have a look at my breakfast. Hey, have a look at this awesome sandwich. Hey, look at this big meat platter that I'm about to devour. That's not been me. So When I look at these people on Instagram and TikTok and all the platforms and just doing things, ⁓ initially I thought, man, you're a fool. How embarrassing. Now look, some of it is, ⁓ but underneath it all, if I was to ⁓ psychoanalyse myself. That comment of how embarrassing, why would anybody do that? Is actually addressing my my fear of getting myself out there. So instead of me going, Hey, I see what you're doing, I couldn't do that because it scares me. Not because it's embarrassing, sure, it might be, but the fact that you you've even hit record, done it, showed a lot of people for the entire world to see, instead of me saying, That's brave of you. I just think you're an idiot. You're stupid. But now I understand. As a shadow, as a part of my shadow self, it's because I probably well back then, I didn't have what it took to do that. But slowly, slowly, I am getting Closer to that sort of stuff. It's just a reminder for me to want to record things, to share things. And an another thing that I think is as a result of me not jumping into the social media bandwagon is the fact that I don't want to be that annoying person that posts up every other day. That that was my feeling, right? Now I know that I could literally post up every single day. And the chance of a person seeing my posts every single day is highly unlikely because they have or they follow thousands more people that post up every single hour. And so the chance of them seeing that person is way more likely than seeing me that posts up once a day, once every couple of days. So I didn't want to be that person that is like, ⁓ It's him again. What does he want now? Now, I don't care. Now I've I've gone beyond that. And I'm now happy to do this sort of stuff and share it on mass. I don't care how long the video goes for. I tried to do the four-minute thing. RG, I love you. It's cool. ⁓ but I don't think it works for me. I'm just happy to do this long form. And like I said, I don't know if it's in this this video or the other one. I don't care if anybody watches. This is actually for me. This is for me to get my thoughts out of my head to practice public speaking, to practice impromptu answers and I love it. So what am I waiting for? I am waiting for so many things. I'm waiting for validation that what I'm doing is good for people. I'm waiting for validation of myself to see if this is what I want to do. And you know what? I think it is. I'm waiting for the results of paid posts. I'm waiting for people to see if they're in the same boat. I am waiting for me to get some time to dedicate to do more stuff like this. So the things that I'm waiting for are actually things that are as a result of me already have taken some as a result of me taking some steps to try different things, to go for what it is that I think I want. And I think I'm pretty close to there. So I'm not holding back in any in any way. The only thing I am holding back on are things like time and I will record something about this at some point. But I am pretty woo-woo. I do believe in divine timing of certain things. I do be do believe in the universe providing. I do believe in things not going how I want them to go. And suddenly realizing that the way that it actually went was the best thing for me. So I'm waiting for a lot of things. But to coincide with that, I'm doing a lot more. That's it. Thanks, I'm Dex. Checkpoint. Talk to you later. Bye.
