- 0:20Speaker 2: Good morning, Elliot morning.
- 0:23Speaker 3: There was nineteen points in it in the end against Collingwood.
- 0:28Speaker 3: The Eagles showed plenty of fight. A lot of people had,
- 0:33Speaker 3: you know, Chip, that you would win this game, and
- 0:37Speaker 3: you know it was a great game.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But why that Nick Dokos.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Easy? You know, I mean, he's pretty much it's probably
- 0:46Speaker 3: a shoe in for the brown Low.
- 0:48Speaker 4: When I reckon, he'll hit the record.
- 0:52Speaker 3: He's a very very pretty good He comes from good
- 0:55Speaker 3: stock and he's a good player. But look, you were
- 1:00Speaker 3: like vintage yo. People are saying that's that's that's the
- 1:04Speaker 3: two words I heard together.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Do you like your word?
- 1:09Speaker 4: It means unlold.
- 1:13Speaker 2: You're just you played. How do you feel about how
- 1:17Speaker 2: you played? Because everyone else thinks you played really well?
- 1:19Speaker 5: That goal on the run was pretty amazing.
- 1:22Speaker 4: It was good.
- 1:23Speaker 5: It was good.
- 1:23Speaker 6: It's been good.
- 1:24Speaker 4: It did it did.
- 1:26Speaker 6: It's my role has changed in the past couple of weeks.
- 1:28Speaker 6: I'm playing a bit more midfield time, which is great. Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 6: I've been playing a bit more of a role in
- 1:32Speaker 6: the past. Oh what would be six to eight weeks,
- 1:35Speaker 6: I reckon, we're kind of do center bounces and roll
- 1:38Speaker 6: forward a bit and give the younger kids a bit
- 1:40Speaker 6: more of a go through the middle through stoppages and
- 1:43Speaker 6: stuff like that. So it's been it's been good to
- 1:46Speaker 6: be back in there. So yeah, it's it's been a
- 1:49Speaker 6: lot of fun and hopefully close a year out there
- 1:51Speaker 6: and continue to just get better and better.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, you guys were down by five goals
- 1:56Speaker 5: there at one point, but just there was no giving up,
- 1:58Speaker 5: was there? And which is and that's that fighting spirit. Yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 5: even though we're getting towards the end of the season,
- 2:05Speaker 5: obviously you guys are a little you know, further down
- 2:07Speaker 5: the ladder, the spirit is still there.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Yeah, it is. And I think, you know, last year,
- 2:14Speaker 6: at one point, I think we're down by loock thirty
- 2:16Speaker 6: points margins like that last year would kind of blow
- 2:19Speaker 6: out to ten goals or you know, another thirty odd points,
- 2:22Speaker 6: and you know they could get quite you know, an
- 2:26Speaker 6: interesting top of score line from that point. But look,
- 2:28Speaker 6: it's changed a lot this year. The boys are really
- 2:30Speaker 6: trying to fight out games and trying to stay and
- 2:34Speaker 6: wrest momentum and get ourselves back in the fight.
- 2:36Speaker 4: So that's the positives coming out of it.
- 2:39Speaker 6: And you know, we are closing out games a lot better,
- 2:42Speaker 6: but there's still lapses in our game and quarters that
- 2:46Speaker 6: are costing us.
- 2:47Speaker 4: And you know, the last time I think we played a.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Really really good four quarter performance was GWS and we
- 2:53Speaker 6: won that game. So I guess the proof's in the pudding.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Hardly red battle through a very very painful injury a
- 3:01Speaker 3: court thigh, a courked quad, and he managed to come back.
- 3:08Speaker 3: There's been all sorts of talk I've heard this week
- 3:10Speaker 3: about maybe making him captain next year.
- 3:14Speaker 4: I mean, it all gets decided by the players.
- 3:17Speaker 6: So the players vote on who they you know, who
- 3:19Speaker 6: they think, and that it goes up to the board
- 3:21Speaker 6: and then obviously trickles down so the boys tick it off.
- 3:25Speaker 6: But yeah, look, I think this year he's certainly grown
- 3:29Speaker 6: in that space a lot more than what he has
- 3:31Speaker 6: you know, the previous couple of years.
- 3:34Speaker 2: But he's still very young though he is.
- 3:37Speaker 6: And you know what I mean, we've got fantastic leaders
- 3:39Speaker 6: in Dugo and then even Rubes coming through as well,
- 3:43Speaker 6: which not many people are talking about because of his
- 3:45Speaker 6: injury at the moment and he's not playing football, but
- 3:47Speaker 6: he's a fantastic leader too.
- 3:49Speaker 4: So where where I.
- 3:51Speaker 6: Feel like we do have a lot of good up
- 3:54Speaker 6: and coming leaders that can that can drive this team
- 3:57Speaker 6: in the right direction going forward.
- 3:58Speaker 4: So it's it's an exciting time for the football club.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Does it worry you though? I mean, obviously there's a
- 4:02Speaker 5: talk about Harley Bean captain as you know there's going
- 4:05Speaker 5: to be, But does it worry you guys about the
- 4:08Speaker 5: fact that the amount of attention on him from umpires.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Players, that's the thing he's got so much?
- 4:17Speaker 5: Is that just one take on board?
- 4:20Speaker 4: I don't think it'd bothering.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Well, yeah, you know what I mean, because he's just
- 4:25Speaker 6: he's everywhere at the at the moment and pretty much
- 4:27Speaker 6: most of his life growing up.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So what's one more responsibility?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah, but like you said, you've got so many other
- 4:34Speaker 3: options of mature guys who don't have quite as much.
- 4:37Speaker 6: Yeah, and August by the players as well, So like
- 4:41Speaker 6: come voting Tom probably you know, end of this year,
- 4:43Speaker 6: maybe early next year, then we'll see.
- 4:46Speaker 3: All right, we're looking ahead to this weekend. You have
- 4:50Speaker 3: who are you playing this weekend? W S over there
- 4:55Speaker 3: against Yeah, yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Well, you know, Russell was saying, it's winnable.
- 4:59Speaker 4: They're all winnable. They are, they are.
- 5:01Speaker 6: But as I said, we need a good four quarter performance.
- 5:04Speaker 6: We let ourselves down probably at the start of the
- 5:05Speaker 6: third and that that first sort of ten to fifteen
- 5:08Speaker 6: minutes of the third quarter on the weekend. So yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 6: if we didn't do that, we'd probably be a lot
- 5:13Speaker 6: closer and might have won the game. So another four
- 5:15Speaker 6: quarter performance is what we need. And then hopefully, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 6: we beat them back home, they'll be wanting to come
- 5:21Speaker 6: and make amends for that.
- 5:22Speaker 4: As well, I would have thought. So it's gonna be
- 5:23Speaker 4: red hot.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Well, at least it won't be a cauldron of hate
- 5:26Speaker 5: there because it's not that big a stadium.
- 5:28Speaker 3: No comment, no comment, No, I have to I have
- 5:34Speaker 3: to ask you one thing before you go.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Where Nellie at the end?
- 5:38Speaker 4: Sticking around?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Where Nellie? Yeah you are sticking around because we're going
- 5:40Speaker 2: to talk dogs.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Where Nellie at the end and you're out man, Nellie
- 5:44Speaker 3: at the end of the year, and.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You have had a really good year. You have not
- 5:50Speaker 2: got injured again, sorry that you've done really well. So
- 5:57Speaker 2: do you think you'll play on next year?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Well, I'm contracted for next year, so there you go.
- 6:03Speaker 2: That's easy to
- 6:05Speaker 5: Wonder what role you'll have back in the midfield, baby, hopefully,
- 6:10Speaker 5: I know, never too like like
