- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: It's really part-time, extremely remote.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: I get to choose my hours and the money ain't bad.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: Oh, amazing.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Ain't bad.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: That's a worse ending.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Okay, so hello everyone.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, we're on we're on track.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Like this is coming out on a Thursday.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: It's coming out in the morning.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Like you're gonna be able to listen to it on your drive to work, like whatever you want.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I apologize that the last episode came out at like 2 30 a.m.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: But it's okay.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: And last night we were hustling, like we recorded, ran home, and started like filming cuttings.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, try being a podcaster for a day.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: I dare you.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Michaela.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Um, I am I just wanted to give a shout-out.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: Dom does not like compliments, but Dom.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, so anyway, um I'm just kidding.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Go ahead.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: No, I I move on.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: No, I want to hear it.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Go.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: It's gone.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: I'm over it.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I look I look 14 pounds lighter.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: You do.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Tan.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: I noticed that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: But just the tan and a haircut will do that for you.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Everything.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Every time I get a haircut.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Even when I was 335 pounds.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Even when I was 335 pounds, I would get a haircut and the next day at work, everyone would be like, Did you lose weight?
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: No, they thought he did, yeah, he fasted.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: No.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm like, no, I just got a haircut.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: No, exactly.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Okay, so what version of Lauren are we getting today?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Because the version that we got in the last episode, which I loved, was a Lauren who's coming off of her like the medication, like doing its job for the day.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Which I enjoyed.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: So where are we at today on the spectrum of the medication doing its work?
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: So I took it at 12 today.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: And it's 2 46 p.m.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: 246.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Oh, so we're on the we're on the uphill.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: We're peak peak.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, love that.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Well, welcome.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Um, is there anything in the room we need to fix so that you're not distracted?
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: No, monitoring spirit.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: You need to be focused on you.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'm just being inclusive to my friends that are neurodivergent.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: God forbid.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, pending your diagnosis.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, anyway.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: I'm excited for us both.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Let's take a break.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, so today's gonna be a little bit different just for some programming.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: We're not doing any pop culture headlines because so if there's something like crazy that happens this week, you're like, why aren't they not talking about it?
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: We'll talk about it next week because we are filming this a few days early.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Because I'm going to be in, where will I be on Thursday?
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: I'll be in Salt Lake City.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: That'll be awesome.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: So we're doing our truth serums.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: We're doing a throwback Thursday bit, which you'll get to see with that stuff.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be very fun.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: And then we will do our so we'll do our truth serums and ICUs as normal.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: And there's no we need to talk today.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Oh because I did all of them on the last episode.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, so it means you guys need to start spilling your tea.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Truth serum pod official at gmail.com or you can DM us or whatever you want.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Just get it to us.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Attach a note on the tail of a dove and send it to my window.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: What if I throw us a curveball today?
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: And instead of uh we need to give me permission to to say I don't like this idea.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Of course.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Um, what if we do a little setting expectations?
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: What if we did a little scenario of a past situation?
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: One of us brings it up, a past situation, and we go through it and we just dissect it.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: We will pursue it, and if it's bad, we'll cut it.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Perfect.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Well, without further ado, let's go into our truth serums.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: You can start today.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: No, you can start.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: I started the intro.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: I know, but I've been talking a lot.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I talked a lot in the last episode.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I was like getting really sick of my own voice.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: Honestly, I didn't mind it.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Good.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: I was fine.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: I'm not here to to dissect.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: All right, go.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: My truth serum is I don't like a dog or baby centered event.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: I clip that.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: She doesn't like a dog or a baby.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: No.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: Okay, let me explain here.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: So I like a dog or a baby as an addition, correct?
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: But when you go over, when you host an event and you just had a baby and everyone comes over, everything like that, your expectation, you cannot expect the entire group of people to cater to your baby and to want it to be the court jester of the room.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Like it'd be like, oh, he just picked up his blocks and counted to five.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: Like some people are not going to care, and there has to be room for that.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Same thing with a dog.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: And whenever you have a puppy, doggo, whatever.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: You say doggo?
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: Doggo, whatever people call him.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: I hate when people call their dog a doggo.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: And but some people, I mean, some people can say or a pupper.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, puppers.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I don't like puppers.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: I don't like doggo.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: I don't like any of them.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: We'll talk about that one day.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: So with that, I just get so tired of like when you come in and the, you know, the owner just loves their dog because it is a part of the family, but they don't have an understanding that not everyone wants pantsing in their face.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: You know, they don't want like little like Tim Tim, whatever dog name.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: They don't want little Tim Tim like eating your rib off your plate.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: Like they don't like those things.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: What is this dog with a blog?
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: So for that, um, I wanted to just go into I got canceled in the internet one time um for showing my opinion about a dog.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: And what was that?
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: So I went over to an event.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: It was a moo moo's and margarita party.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: I think it was Moo Moo's or Margarita.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: And I went over.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: So I went over and um mind you, I went to Ross like on the way, and I got like a 5X, 6X Moo Moo.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: And if you guys don't want to know what a Moo Moo is, it's a big nightgown.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: And so I was like, okay, they only have 5X, 6X left.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: Nothing wrong with those sizes, being politically correct.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Um, I had on that size and I went into the party because I wanted to be on theme, and I go on the party, and my friend Kat is extremely like she's so understanding that dogs are not everyone's thing.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Um, but her dog is a rescue dog and it's still being trained, and it kept jumping up on my lap the whole night.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: It kept stealing my like pile of Skittles, like it was just doing so much.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: And I took a little video, it was really funny.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: Um, I posted it and I was like, When a dog runs your night.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: I don't know what I said.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Something silly.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Well, it was something like when there's a dog at the party and you're not really a dog person or something like that.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: No, that's too long.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: It was something like that.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: Mad.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: Um, it was something like that.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: I posted it.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: I that video went viral.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: And in the process of that, I got called the worst names humanly possible.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: Like anything you can think of.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: She went viral for the because of the dog lovers, but then also imagine going viral in a 6X Moo Moo.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: They were like they're like, of course, a fat bitch would like dogs.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: Be like, and then the other comments were like, oh, well, only ugly people don't like dogs.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: They were really going in.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: And then it hit a different thing.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: I don't dress like this every day, you know.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: But I mean, it you have to laugh when people are telling you like to kill yourself and say, you know, that you're ugly and you're fat.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: Like you have to laugh because you're like Because it's turnt.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: Because it's turnt, and you're in a moo-mo, like at the end of the day.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: So Yeah, but the facts here are transitioning in into this.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: I'm almost finished.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: So the next day, I thought I could be cute because I have a dog at home that I actually really enjoy.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: Like he knows it's it's you know, boundaries, like he's really close to my husband, all of that.
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: And I decided to post a montage.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: Like I created my yeah, on Cap Cut.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: I posted a montage of every cute moment I've had with my dog.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: I pieced it all together.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: I was so cute that night.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: I was like, this is gonna change it.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: I post, I go to sleep.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm just like having the best dreams of my life.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: I'm like, oh my gosh, the world is going to shift tomorrow.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: I wake up to a series of comments that said, of course, an overweight woman would have an overweight dog.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Filled the comments, okay?
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: So also Harvey, fat?
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: Um, so I I had to set him up with a vet appointment because I was just like, wow, am I yeah, he's like on his row.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Um, but I took him and he was healthy.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: He was healthy and yeah, he was checked out.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: So I took him to the vet, it was all good.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he just needed a haircut.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: You guys can relate.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: Um anyway, what's yours?
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Harvey and I both.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: This kind of goes uh hand in hand with that.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: Um my truth theorem is we should make it harder to be able to comment on things on social media.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Since getting like, I'm not like some huge, like um, like I don't have like the the biggest following ever.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: But getting to like 19k, and then like you have videos that get like millions of views sometimes, like you're just um subjected to subjected to?
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Probably.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: It sounds the syllables are right.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: To a lot of comments.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: Um and there are a few types of comments that I don't like.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: One, um, also let me say this now.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: I want all comments because it helps with keep this engagement up.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it helps engagement.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Everyone is like, fine, we won't comment anymore.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: That's not what I'm saying.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, like just let me talk.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: I have a podcast, I have a mic.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Um, matter-of-fact comments.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: For example, um, where it's like um we're in the car and we're like laughing and to where a point where we're crying.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, laughing till you cry.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, that's exactly what this is.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: Um, I do a review of a taco truck.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, taco truck?
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_02: Like so these aren't even hate comments.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: They're just they're just points.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: I just don't like a comment like that.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Then mean comments.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: There's obviously mean comments, like you said.
- 10:18SPEAKER_02: What mean comments do you get?
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, Guy Fury put down the plate.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: Yes, okay.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: That was one.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: That was pretty, I mean, yeah.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: Um, who raised you?
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Um but it's them.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: They built the house.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: So it's like, I'm sure, I'm sure everyone in your life doesn't like you.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: So untrue.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Don't get on don't get on wedding TikTok.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: The side of wedding TikTok.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Stuff like that.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Um, and then okay, there was another one where I posted, I don't like when it hits a wrong lane.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: I posted a TikTok and it was like and I got a lot of views.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And it was me saying, Do you ever just like love the personality that you've been given?
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: Where it's like you're sitting with your friends and you're just so thankful that like we get this type of humor, that we have the minds that we have.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: And then like not in a judgmental way, but you look at other people and you see what they laugh at and what they think what they think is funny, and you're like, How in the world do you think that's funny?
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Which is just I got thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of comments, okay?
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Thousands.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: Not hundreds of thousands.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: I was like, yeah, I didn't want to say anything.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: That's like insane.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Like thousands of comments, okay?
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: And they said things like, I totally agree.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm just like you.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Nobody ever appreciates my sparkle.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: You're like, don't put us together.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: It was every comment was like, it was the people where it's like me when I'm normal, me when I'm crazy.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: It was all people like that.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And I was like, you guys are the epitome of what I'm talking about here.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: It landed on millennial mom TikTok.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: And when we're talking about it, which is not bad, and I'm not shading.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: I'm technically millennial.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're millennials, but we are like the last year.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Yes, but I'm talking about that trope of people where I'm like, it's not bad, but it's like that is not, I'm not talking about them dimming our sparkle.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: No, because I've actually never said that.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: People who put a mask, yep, exactly that.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Very um coffee now, laundry later.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: Like, and they were like, Dom, I totally get you.
- 12:17SPEAKER_02: No one appreciates us.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I'm like, oh no.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Not we.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Who's we?
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: You got a mouse in your pocket?
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: No, little a mouse.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, so those are our truth serums.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Let's go into our segment, which we are not doing the weekly dose today.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: We are doing Throwback Thursday.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: And this first segment that we are going to do is we are going to rank our top three Disney Channel original movies.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: And these are not Disney movies.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: We're not talking about Aladdin.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: We're not talking about Little Marmain.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: I hate a Disney animation.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: We're not.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: We're not going into the realms of Freaky Friday and Princess Diaries.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: We're talking about Disney Channel original movie where the intro is the guy doing the splits in the air.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Like that is what we're talking about here.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: So I have my top three three to one.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: Do you have your three to one?
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Okay, you go first.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: Fourth.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: I got I started rethinking what I was saying and I started.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: I didn't put mine in order.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: So let me shuffle them.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'll go first.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: Go.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Coming in at number three.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: We have Let It Shine.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: I forgot about Let It Shine.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: Roxy, I'm sorry.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Roxy, I'm sorry.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Roxy, I'm sorry.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Also, like the biblical principles that are represented in this movie.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: We have a pastor, he goes, You can't be dancing like a vixen and ask God to do the fixin'.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: I love that scene, and I'll tell you why.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: My dream since birth is to get famous and go down a bad path and then come back to God and everyone see it.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: Like I used to fantasize like having bad headlines written about me of like Britney Spears type headlines with like with umbrella vibes, and then I like go to church and cry, and then I like get sober.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: You know what I it's so hard.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be controversial.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: But of course, I since I'm a Christian, like I do love when you know people come to God and like surrender their life, things like that.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: But I do think that there's a small percentage that's like, okay, let me like, you know, do cocaine off of this, do this.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: Is that I'm not saying that whatever, you can do whatever you want.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: I don't want to dive into it.
- 14:15SPEAKER_02: But they do all of this stuff publicly get canceled, and they're like, hey, how would I change the media's uh opinion?
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: They become Christian.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: Yes, they become Christian.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: Not what I'm talking about.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: The amount of times where people become Christian, it's like, oh, you did something really, really bad this year that we're gonna find out about.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: I'm not talking about that.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just the idea of being like the famous person who did the risque music video and then comes to church and was like, oh my god, they're here, they're here.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, they're worshiping.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: I just love that about Coco Jones.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: And then she got to lead worship.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: Imagine coming back and then leading worship.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: This house of love with a family is so strong.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: And she looks at her best friend, and I'm here to worship and pour out my offering.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: That is a gospel song.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, she's trying to get signed.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Every opportunity is like a limited.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: The ending, um, everybody hates Chris.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Um, let it shine is incredible.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: So that's coming in at number three for me.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, there's no comparison.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: The the Nicki Minaj, uh, like the Magam Minaj like trope that we saw in her.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: Like every shop.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: It was a very, very good film.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: It was.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: The back drive in a taxi cab.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: I forgot that whole rap, but I mean my best friend Emerson used to do that.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, so do you want to say your number three or should I do my three-two-one?
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: Do your three-two-one.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: Or do you want to bounce?
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Let's bounce so that no one gets like tired of us.
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: Let me do number uh three for me.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: So number three for me is Cowbells.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Love.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, Allie and AJ.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Uh so what's fun about Disney Channel original movies for me is that my dad would watch a lot of them with me and my brother, and it was just one of those things that he had some of his favorites.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: And I believe cowbells was one of them.
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: And so it was just a staple of um the trope of two very rich girls losing everything, having to milk an udder.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: It's very it's very material girls with Hillary and Haley Duff-esque.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Did you ever see that movie?
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: It was a Material Girls, yes, yes.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And there's also nothing, there's nothing better than when a parent likes a movie that you're watching as a kid.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: You're like, yeah, I'm one of the big kids now.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Cowbells.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: So Cowbells, it was just such an amazing movie.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: I loved that.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: I love that they went from just being so out of touch with the reality, not trying to get super deep here, but going and seeing how the factory is run, like going to talk to the staff members and seeing um the poor working conditions.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: Because I because honestly, just even just working in positions of leadership at companies, your eyes are glazing over.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: Hold on.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not glazing over.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: I just didn't know.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: I didn't know this was gonna be a testimony.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Okay, but you were going into a church sermon.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: So let me Lauren, I support it.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: I just was like, here we are.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: Perfect.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I have no issue.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: You have a podcast with a mic, you can say whatever you want, you can burp your ABCs for all I care.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: Absolutely not.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: Um, so with that, just going and it it is so important for people in leadership to go down and experience what their workers are experiencing, exactly, because they're making decisions without ever considering in their staff.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: It's the undercover boss blueprint.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: So that's mine.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: And I loved every second of it.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: Okay, what's your number two?
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: Coming in at number two, we have Kito's eye rolls.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: Coming in at number two, we have Lemonade Mouth.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Lemonade Mouth, the soundtrack, determinate, turn the world into your dance where determinate.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: I, I can't deny.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Um, the bad moment where she was off key trying to hard advise you.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: I'm crazy worried.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Then uh here's a moment that I oh, she's so gone with Manu at the pizza shop.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: She looks into the mirror of the napkin holder.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: I can't.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Like, you hate it?
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: I don't like that movie.
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: A moment of division.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: The fact that they were just they cried about nothing.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Like they had no I I'm sorry, but like her dad's in prison for a crime he committed.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: It's a house he built.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: And I'm not saying like if your dad's in prison, like it's you know, I understand the the pain.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: But I'm saying too, is like I feel like she lacked empathy for others because her dad was in prison.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: Because she would snap at others and make her deal a bigger deal than everyone else's.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: You don't think it was a big deal that he the the photo fell on him and he got a black eye?
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: No.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: And his dad has a girl had a girlfriend?
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's a big deal.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: And then Manu was under the pressure of her parents to get straight A's and not have a rub rebel boyfriend?
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: Also, too, who cares about her rebel boyfriend?
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: Her parents were right.
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm sorry, wear your traditional Indian garb, study, and be graduate.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: Do whatever you want after you graduate.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: Like they're setting, I know, but but she also could do that while also singing in into the napkin holder.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, we'll let her do that.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: But I I am tired of the narrative of like, let me rebel against my parents and go against traditional.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, but they had a principal who only cared about the athl the athletes, which I understand that athletics bring in more money, but they were in a con a social it was a social construct.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: And they were bringing it down.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: The only bad thing I will say about that movie is there's one movie, there's one song we could skip, more than a band.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: Oh, when they get out of here.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: When they went and like got the lemonades from the basement?
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: No.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, when they I love a scene in a movie where they start making a song with random objects.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: Like is the and then they open it like we gotta get together and take it down.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: But imagine filming, like, imagine I made that up.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Kenny Ortega, if you heard that.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: Let's talk.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: But I'm just like, imagine if I popped a pop can and you were like, wait, do that again.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: I'd be mad.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Okay, let me drink my own.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: I had to go work for a milk company and a milk and udder.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, then we learned the the value of knowing from the top-down leadership.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: Okay, and we learned to, you know.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: A social construct and just sing into a napkin holder.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, clip that Lauren doesn't care about social constructs.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: All right, what's your number two?
- 19:54SPEAKER_02: Ugh.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: I need Lauren on Z-Way.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: My number two is Greek Charming.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Greek Charming?
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Hear me out.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Greek Greek.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Greek Charming.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: Greek?
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: You're the one.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: Lauren, pause.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: You never cleared your cash.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: You still Greek croutons.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: Greek Charming.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: What's the name of the movie, Lauren?
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: Greek Greek Charming.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm all the way wrong.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: Unplug my mic.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: Geek Charming.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: No olives.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: No crouton.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: My bad.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: Greek charming.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: You have me twisted from last night.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: You have me so twisted.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm so mad at you even bringing it up.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, you're so wrong.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Greek charming.
- 20:44unknown: Okay.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: Like the channel.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: Can I when I can I take a second to admit I'm wrong?
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Like feta?
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: Can you acknowledge I was wrong?
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Can I?
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: May I?
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: Guys, Greek charm that?
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, go ahead.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: Geek Charming.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: So I will say the the main character man in Greek Geek Charming, he has been since canceled.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: And we don't really talk about him.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: He's an awful abuser.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: That aside.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: That aside.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Sarah Highland, I mean, she was just nominated for an Emmy, right?
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: Like she's still doing her thing.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: You don't even know.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Okay, cool.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: All I know about her is um Modern Family.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: I've still never seen it.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: She's awesome.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: I don't know why I said that.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Um I just needed a transition statement.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: So for Geek Charming, um, I love a makeover and a montage scene when he comes out with his big, like, checkered, like plaid hat that's the nerd taking his glasses off.
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: And he all he did by the end of that montage, she spent thousands of dollars.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: And for context, so I don't bore you guys, um, the movie is like the most popular Queen Bee girl.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: She's actually humble.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: Takes the nerd.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: And takes the nerd and is gonna transform him.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: And then he's a film nerd who's gonna document the whole transformation from a geek to.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Fall in love.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: A princess or prince or whatever uh of the dance school dance he won.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Homecoming.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Homecoming.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: Prom, whatever.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: So um throughout that whole thing, they do a montage.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: She spent like ten thousand dollars, and he came out in a leather jacket and a pair of sunglasses.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: So I'm like, there was no real like transformation there, but I still love the essence of the movie.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: I love that you know her mom had passed and that was a real thing.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: You got to see the vulnerable side of her.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: It was just such an amazing movie.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: For not having original music, it's really good.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, both of yours don't.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Does your number one don't say it, but does your number one have a musical?
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: No.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: I hate a musical.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: All three of them.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, I forgot that.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Number one.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: And I want to say this before I say what I'm about to say.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: High school musical three is not a decom.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: So that's why that is not number one here.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: That's why I didn't say Princess Dairies 2, because also not a decom.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: And high school musical three is the best high school musical, in my opinion.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: One and two are decomms.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: And I think that this, what I'm about to say, is better than high school musical one and two, which is a hot take.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: My number one favorite Disney Channel original movie is Camp Rock 2.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: And I love one of my favorites.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Okay, wouldn't change a thing is if we were to rank like top Disney Channel original movie songs, that and Can I Have This Dance on High School Musical 3 are tied.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Actually, that's not a decomp, so wouldn't change a thing would be number one.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Like incredible movie.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: Um, the Jonas brothers, Demi Lovato, Allison Stoner.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: Remember.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Remember when they were all uh on the scene and Camp Star, they had just discovered Camp Star, and there was that main guy.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Love him.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: And he and they had a bunch of Justice for him.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: It's not his fault he's talented and rich and got to go to the cool camp.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: But so then um they're all standing out in a field, and then they look up in the sky and there's a bunch of parachute and they're parachuting down s'mores.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Let's say it together.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: And they said he catches the s'mores baskets and he goes, Graham crackers, graham crackers, and it became it was a staple in our house.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, foreshadowing cracker.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: And yeah, graham cracker.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: That camp star ate.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: And that's the thing that's hard.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: It's like they won, right?
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 24:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and they should have.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: And they should have.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: When they were doing a we gonna tear it down.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: And here's the thing you're gonna have the audacity to have a final jam and you're gonna show up and do a little sweet little campfire song.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: No one's gonna vote for the game.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: I understand that's sweet, but we don't care about what's like Google Gaga family right now.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: You need to tear it up.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: We don't care.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: You have Demi Lovato and the Jonas brothers.
- 24:23SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Like pop, lock, jam, and break.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: And they didn't bring it.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: And also, I love Mitchie's mom.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Um, what is it?
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: Xinji?
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Happy summer.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: Love that.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, Camp Rock 2 is my number one.
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: So my number one is Jump In.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: Who in the room has seen Jump In with Corbin Blue?
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: We have a live studio audience today.
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: Yes, we have a bunch of people in here too.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: Um, so Jump In is the best movie of all time on Disney Channel.
- 24:52SPEAKER_02: So many things it made it sparked my love for Kiki Palmer.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: I cannot believe that was Kiki Palmer.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Wow, I forgot.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: No, I love her.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: Like I forgot that's her.
- 25:01SPEAKER_02: But it showed us so much, and it it is also a movie that did not have any original music either.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: So you kind of see the trend in mine.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: Step to the rhythm and then to the music.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: They didn't choreograph a mob or like a dance plastic or whatever.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: No, you're right.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it just was one of the movies, yeah.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: But it's so good, and it taught just the value and yeah.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Also, just a really quick, just a few honorable mentions.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Read it and weep.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: Stuck in the suburbs.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: Read it and weep stressed me out the whole time.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: With the food fight?
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off, Amazing.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Are we forgetting anything specific?
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Those are just the heavy, those are the heavy hitters I wanted to help.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Okay, the next segment that we are going to do is we are going to go through what we were not allowed to do and watch as children.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: So for context, this is in regards to like movies and shows and you know, whatever celebrations of certain kinds, because we were raised in Christian homes, and a lot of Christians will be able to relate to this, and then if you weren't raised in this home, you'll be able to just like laugh at us.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: We did have a lot of fundamental differences.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: I want to point out because his parents were significantly younger than mine.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: My parents were boomers.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: His parents were later millennials, early Gen X.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: My dad, right now, I'm pretty sure is like 46.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: So.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: Which is, yeah.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: He was like, he was like 18 and like they're very young.
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: He was.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: So just our upbringings, the things we were allowed to do, just in general, the things we were allowed to get away with, I feel like were probably different.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: Different, yeah.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: And also your parents like were kind.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Um, okay.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: So I'm just gonna go through.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: So my parents big my parents believed that Spongebob and Patrick were gay, so I wasn't allowed to watch Spongebob.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Um so they made a specific disc of certain Spongebob episodes that I was allowed to watch.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: And they were like the scariest ones, like the one where they're cavemen.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I hate that one.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: Because I guess there's apparently an episode of Spongebob where Spongebob and Patrick like get married and they raise a clam.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: And my parents were like, this is pushing a trans agenda.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: So they didn't let me watch it.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: Are you serious?
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: So I couldn't watch Spongebob, so they burned a specific disc of like SpongeBob that I was allowed to watch.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: I wasn't allowed to watch That's So Raven.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: I watched it as an adult for the first time.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: That's Raven was my everything.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: And I love it.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: I love it a lot.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Um, Wizards of Waverly place I couldn't watch because it was sorcery.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: Couldn't watch Harry.
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: But you guys grew up in a cult church.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: We grew up a lot different because we were like Christians that went to church like every third Sunday when we could remember to wake up.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: And I was at church every night of the week.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Um Wizard Waverly or something.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: Um I couldn't do like Harry Potter or anything like that.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: Rugrats or Recess, I couldn't watch.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: I couldn't watch Arthur because him and DW fought, and they thought that it would uh bring a spirit of division into the home.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Which I I'm sorry.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: The amount of the the spirit you thought that was gonna bring a spirit of division?
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: Of all things, yeah.
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: The house they built was uh of Krakus.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: No, please.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Um, couldn't watch Rugrats or Recess, which also I grew up being very scared of cartoons because I would have nightmares that I would wake up as a cartoon.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, not like that because no one could be hot.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: I wasn't allowed to watch Wendy Woo Homecoming Warrior because there was a scene I think where her eyes turned red.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: So and they said that was demonic.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: I couldn't watch anything twitches, Halloween Town, Nightmare Before Christmas, any like Halloween.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, it was one of those households.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: I couldn't watch anything.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: Oh wow.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: I couldn't watch anything like that.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: But you could watch Bravo, and you can punch me in the face.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I couldn't watch Wendy Woo.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: Perfect.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, but I could watch Host Stars of New Jersey with my mom.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: So that's everything.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, sorry.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: And I wasn't allowed to dress up for Halloween, which I think this is such an interesting trope too, especially living in Tulsa, which is like, and then going to Ory U, whatever, super like Christian whatever like uh circles.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: Halloween now is so fun to me, like getting to dress up because I didn't get to do it when I was a kid, so now I'm like 29 years old dressing up as Batman.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: But I'm like as a kid.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you look taught.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Even when we went to um we went to Hallelujah Night, because they call it Hallelujah Night.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: If you if you don't celebrate Halloween, you never heard of Hallelujah Night?
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: I've never.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, we would call it Hallelujah.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: We used to dress up, and I remember every now and then the kids who went to public school and didn't go to our small private Christian school, if they came dressed up as like David and Goliath, we were like, oh my god, they're like, they're not Christian.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: They dressed up.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I could not.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: I'm so glad I didn't experience it.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: And then I could only have sleepovers on Friday night if I got prayed for three times on the altar.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: If I didn't get prayed for three times, I couldn't go and I went to the sacrifice lamb and I went to the f the foyer to talk.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: I wasn't allowed to have a sleepover.
- 29:32SPEAKER_02: That's insane.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: So what about you?
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: I'm okay, y'all.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: No, he's like crying.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: His glasses is fogged up.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Some wipe.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: Someone gonna wipe.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: Let me get my a little lozenge before you.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: That's lozenge.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: Cheers.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: We got these from Tisdale's next door.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Historic Greenwood app.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: I will say, Tisdale's is the best.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: I love I went in there.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: I was like, wait, a vibe.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: There's not even a lot of things.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: Either one of y'all?
- 30:00unknown: Yes.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, you work next door.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: But I love it.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: It's a vibe.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: It is the best, like chill nighttime club, dance.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: Like it is everything.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: And you can smoke a cigar in there.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: A cigar.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: We got cigars the other day.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: We should have smoked it in there.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't I don't know if I'm gonna smoke a good cigar, but okay.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Anyway, cheers.
- 30:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: Alright, go ahead and read your list.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: So my list, it's kind of short.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: Um but opposed to that, like we grew up Baptist.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: Now I'm like nom to nom non whatever it's called.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: I'm one of those letters.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: And so I just have a relationship with God.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: Um but we were like for sleepovers, like all growing up, you would have to really, really know the parent for me to have a sleepover.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: And so I didn't ever go on sleep.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Like Was your mom the one who said yes all the time, or your dad?
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: My mom said yes to most things.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: My dad needed to investigate it, like do 10 years of research, and then I'm I was the opposite.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: My mom said no to everything.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: My dad would say yes to everything.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Just to cause division between the two?
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: Probably.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: But also he was just like down for like that type of stuff.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: My dad was just like a big supporter of my mom.
- 31:15SPEAKER_02: So, like, whatever, you know what I mean?
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: And it was also that too.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: It's like go ask your mom.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: But also you could do the thing where it's like, hey, dad said to come ask you.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: They collaborated at night.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: And they said, okay, I'm okay with it.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: They collaborated at night, and I would get grounded for I think two and a half to three weeks if I were to ask my dad and he said no, and I went to ask my mom, she said yes.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: They would collaborate at night and be like, Did she ask you this?
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: Did he ask you this?
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: They would share notes and I would get in trouble for that.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: See, my parents were like whatever to me, but they were also like low-key so scared of me.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: That I would just like bully them until I kind of got what I wanted.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:51SPEAKER_02: But anyway, I was raised by a boomer.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: It was different.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:53SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: So mine were sleepovers.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: I really didn't have any sleepovers until high school.
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: Emerson, Richter, um, she was the only person I could have sleepovers with.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Which also becoming an adult is like realizing that sleepovers are kind of a little bit whack.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: They're a breeding ground for all sorts of things.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Like the thought of like sending, I don't have any children, but I'm like the thought of sending your kids to like their friend's house where their parents are.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: You don't know the mom and dad.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Like, don't like there has to be somebody you're like super, but sometimes sometimes we won't get into it.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: Sometimes it's people you're closest to, but yeah, you can have a better assessment.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: So sleepovers, another thing was going to the river walk.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: And so for all the people that are out of um Oklahoma and out of, you know, you know, are international fans.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: Um, the river walk is just a place in jinx, Oklahoma.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: International, Oklahoma City.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: No.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: Um, hey, don't downgrade.
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: You love to say downgrade.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, you said downgrade on yesterday's episode too, and you're like, why am I saying downgrade?
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: What is downplay?
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: Downplay.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: My bad.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: So um the Riverwalk had a club for kids, um, which is a crazy idea.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's cool.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: Do you guys remember that?
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: I moved here when I was 18.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: I was going to Rio.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: Um, so that club, um, it was for like 17 and below, I believe.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: And I was not allowed to go there.
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: And it was so awful because I went to Jinx until I transferred to Victory.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: And everyone would be there.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: It was called the district, and everyone would be there every Friday and Saturday night.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: Wait, that's so fun.
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: And they would come back on Monday and be like, oh my gosh, I saw you at the district.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, I did this, I did this.
- 33:23SPEAKER_02: And I wasn't allowed to go.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: What did they have?
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Like crayons?
- 33:26unknown: No.
- 33:26SPEAKER_02: They had club music.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: It was like a club for kids that was like monitored by like kids' mob versions or whatever.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: Kind of, yeah.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: But like all the cool kids and their little like Hollister miss me jeans, like Ug Boots, all of that.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: They were decked out and they came and got dropped off just at the riverwalk.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: No parents, no anything.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Same thing with the mall.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: Like, I was not allowed to be dropped off at the mall.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: I would need a parent around.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: That's why we're there three times a week now.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Shout out to three.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: Two one.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Jasmine.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Jasmine who works at C's Candies.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: We love you.
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: What do you get?
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: A bear paw?
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: Snowpaw.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: I get the polar bear paw with a um the cluster.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: You love a nut.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: No, yeah.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: Let's say.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Um, today.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: So yeah, those were some of the things.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: Um, I was able to celebrate Halloween.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: We got decked out, made our own costumes.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: It was the best.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: We went trick-or-treating as a family.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: We just did a lot of family-centered things.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: Um, so I was in a very like I didn't hang out with many friends growing up.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: And I think that was a difference between my household and others.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: And mine was I want I did whatever I could to be at a friend's house.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: I just wanted to be gone.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: I wanted to be home all the time, not because I was sheltered, but because my parents were just nice.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I wanted to be at my friend's house.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah anytime I could, I would have, I would have moved out when I was like four.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: So that's it.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's transition to our ICUs.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: Which is the thing that we have been utilizing a lot lately, whether it's a Alani flavor, a show, an album, whatever it is, I'll go first.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Mine is my notes app.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: If you do not utilize your notes app, I literally am like, what are you doing?
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: Let's just go through some of my lists.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: I have a list.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: This is my favorite list.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: I won't go through all of it because I've been building it for now like six or seven years.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: It's a list of words I hate.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: Every time I hear a word that I hate, I just write it down.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: Garnish, rhubarb, burger, to take, crumbly, bitters, kolch, marmalade.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: The list goes on and on.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: Lump sum, balsamic.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: There's a lot.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: Uh I have a list of things that I like.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: Just a random list of things that I like.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: Apple maps, ETAs, ending a sentence, silence before responding, two things coexisting.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: Um, to go drinks at a restaurant, using a word incorrectly and not caring.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Business names on buildings that are literally just what the business is.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: There is a strip mall in Tulsa where it is one of the places called Nails.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: The next one is called Tag Agency.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: Jewelry Store.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: The next place is called Jewelry Store.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: And the next place is called Donuts.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: They said we are not hiring a creative director.
- 35:53SPEAKER_01: This is exactly what it is.
- 35:55SPEAKER_02: But it's like, but the way my brain works, I'm just like, oh, I want donuts.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: I don't want to go to like, you know, luxury.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Yes, Lucy Louis.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: Just bring me donuts.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Capitol buildings, traditional clock towers.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, places I want to get baptized at, Cheesecake Factory, Chinese foot massage, um, the best well western, the best western we stayed at.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Incredible.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: I have a list of backhanded compliments.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: I see a lot of myself in you.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: No, you don't.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: Um I don't think this, but I want to tell you what everyone is saying.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: I hate that.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: I hate that.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: I also hate a how are you really?
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: It's like, who are you?
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Who are you?
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: Who are you really?
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: Okay, we're all dancing, like A Ladies by Travis Porter's on.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: Pulls me aside.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: How are you really?
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: Trapped in a conversation.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: And it's like right now?
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Um, people who don't have parents.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: There's one person on the list, me.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: Um things I don't trust, chain chiropractic companies, bad grandparent names, pee-paw, moo moo, mama, gammy, paw paw, and pawpaw.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Um, people that will never hear from me again.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: I just say a couple of those.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: Having a thought and like just typing it into your notes app is just so underrated.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: It's like the thought, like Do you think you'll forget the idea of having like a pen and paper?
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: I just like to build something.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: I want to be a part of something bigger than me.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: I want to be a part of something bigger than what's going on.
- 37:14SPEAKER_02: To sparkle.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: Phrases I say wrong.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: Like I found out after like 14 years it's not dearly noted.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Have you ever been like, okay, dearly noted?
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Apparently it's like dually.
- 37:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is dooley.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: I literally have quotes that I've said.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: I met this one older, I met this one older woman at the neighborhood Walmart by my house, and she just really minded her business.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: And I talked to her, her name is Ethel.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: So I made a list on my phone called People Who Mind Their Business.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: There's one person on it, Ethel from the neighborhood Walmart.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: I literally have never seen her again.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Um, so I just think we need to normalize.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: Just like, if you have a thought, just like write it down in your notes app.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: It's literally like a journal.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: Like, I literally like there are lists in here that I have been building for six or seven years.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: I love my notes app.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: I love my notes app.
- 38:03SPEAKER_02: I love all of those, but can I please I've been laughing ever since Dom said best western.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: You're gonna tell the story.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: There is a story.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: We are so good on time, right, Erin?
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: No, we've been filming for like 30 seconds.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: And it is perfect because um the other person's in the room.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: The other person is in the room.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: Jared is in the room.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: Hey, say hi, Jared.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: So, really quickly.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna tell the story you can jump in.
- 38:33SPEAKER_02: If you are going to a friend's birthday party that they're doing like a pregame, whatever, why would you want to spend the night there?
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: And I don't know why all of us were so I'm gonna jump in.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, all of us.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: I know you got a few mice in your pocket right there.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: I'll say this.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: I when I'm going out of town, I want to get a hotel.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: I want to get a hotel.
- 38:53SPEAKER_01: We can all split it, whatever.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: I'm not like, oh, our friend lives there.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: We can sleep on the couch.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: That is the way that's a good thing.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: So Dom loves, I'm sorry, it's a good thing.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Because I'm the one who doesn't stay out late.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: I want to go home, like I want to shower.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Same here, but still.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: So we had a fun uh little pregame time.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: We were all dancing, having fun.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: It was awesome.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: Then we were going to the the next place we were going after, and it was about uh 10, 11 p.m.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: And Dom was only wanting to stay anywhere like for 10, 15 minutes.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and also too, if everyone was there, I probably would have stayed a really long time.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: But Lauren went back to get Jared.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: I went back to get Jared with the group.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: We all went back and we just turned on music and we stayed at the house for a little longer.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, I'm by myself with the locals, and I'm like, uh, well, I'm gonna go home.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: So he then it was like a ship's night.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: He went home to the place that we were staying at.
- 39:45SPEAKER_02: That was also the party thing, and we had left and went to the house.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: Because the plan was everyone was just gonna go home after everyone was out, and then we were only our group, little group, was gonna stay at this house.
- 39:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, yes.
- 39:56SPEAKER_02: And so when we went there, um, we the night was you, you know, going, blah, blah, blah.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: And um, the birthday girl like loses her purse, okay.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: And so me and Jared go around to all of these different places to look for her purse.
- 40:13SPEAKER_02: She's also a little upset.
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: I already got her permission to say this, but she was like kind of upset at this point, and it was just like, but she was also having fun and she was drinking.
- 40:22SPEAKER_02: It was just one of those things.
- 40:23SPEAKER_02: So then she decides to bring the entire party back to the pregame.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: And what am I doing in a big t-shirt and showered, sleeping on the couch in the living room?
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: They come in like, yeah, like really like raging, throwing stuff around, whatever, playing loud music.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Dom is furious.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: He gets up, I'm out of the house by the house.
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: I could have walked through a home.
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: Tell me about that moment.
- 40:48SPEAKER_02: Tell me about that moment.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: I could have walked through a home because I literally was about to annihilate everyone in my sight.
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: I went to the bathroom to take a moment.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: And then the birthday girl starts screaming at me, who I'm friends with who I came in from out of time, starts screaming at me.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: So I get out, I am barefoot.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: I am in my underwear.
- 41:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: I walk out of the bathroom, I walk out of the house barefoot in my underwear, I go to my car and I book a hotel room.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: I have no clothes on.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: You called I called like 15, but there was a college grad the U of uh Arkansas was graduating.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: So all the hotels were booked.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: I found one.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: I'm literally in my underwear and socks.
- 41:25SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: So then I'm mad at everyone.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at Lauren and Jared for not coming back.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at the person that we were visiting for bringing the whole party back.
- 41:33SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at the neighbor next door for existing.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at the at the cashier register.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at my steering.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at everything in sight.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: So then by the way, so then I drive to the hotel.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: Hold on.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: Before you drive, before he drives to the hotel.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I'm spending$150 on my own.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: I'm getting a hotel.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: And mind you, like, me and Jared are sober.
- 41:51SPEAKER_02: Dom's obviously sober, just mad and just like frazzled and in his panties.
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: And so you're just like out there.
- 41:57SPEAKER_02: So he's in his car.
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: And I give me and Jared have the bright idea.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: And me and Jared are genuinely like, I'm not trying to be quirky, but like we can be SpongeBob and Patrick esque of like, like big, like goofy, like ha ha ha.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: And nothing is worse than being the only sober person with a bunch.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: Hold on, I know.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say the next part.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: Nothing's worse than being the only sober person in a room with people that are drunk, and also being mad, and then finding two goofy boots with not a care and sight, going, holy holy holy, bumping heads.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: Yes, but we're not even there yet, okay?
- 42:27SPEAKER_02: Dom's in his car.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: Just going to the best western.
- 42:29SPEAKER_02: He's going to the best western.
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: He pulls up the maps, he's going to the best western, texts us and said, No music on.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: Silent.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: He's so mad.
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: I'm mad at everyone.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: He texts us.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, me and Jared had found the purse.
- 42:39SPEAKER_02: So we actually pulled into the parking spot to just go back inside.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: But I at the house that I was leaving.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: And I have the bright idea.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: I was like, Dom is so furious right now.
- 42:49SPEAKER_02: He I was like, the best thing we can do right now, we don't even need to go in and get our stuff.
- 42:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, let's surprise him, let's follow him and surprise him at the best western and just show up.
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: So we decide we're going to be.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: Keep in mind I'm also furious at them.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: Like so mad at you guys.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 43:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, whatever.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: So he pulls out and goes, and Jared like sneakily pulls his car back.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: I drive for like 15 minutes.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm just blue.
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: And the whole time, guys, we're like, like we're like rubbing our hands together, like how I'm in my car.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: So then we pull up.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: I have no idea that they were there.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: 15 minutes.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: Also, it's an awful idea too to follow someone for 15 minutes and not tell them because he thought he was being followed.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: And one thing about me is like if I if I I just like recognize and I'm doing the three-left turn rule.
- 43:35SPEAKER_01: If you take three left turns and they still follow you, call the cops.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: So yeah, it was on turn number two.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: He was at the best boast turn.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:42SPEAKER_02: We pull up next to him.
- 43:43SPEAKER_02: Like this.
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: Rolls down the road.
- 43:44SPEAKER_02: Like we're excited.
- 43:45SPEAKER_02: We we pulled up.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Bright eyed and bushy tailed.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: They looked like Santa Claus.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: They looked like two little red rosy cheeks with red lips.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: And we were good.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: I rolled down the window.
- 43:55SPEAKER_01: You would have literally thought Baby Bop and Barney were next to me.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: I rolled down the window.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: No, I looked them square in their face.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: And tell them what you're saying.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: And I literally said, And imagine our we looked like this.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: We were like I l I Oh we were like, aren't you surprised to see us?
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: We were so excited.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: We were laughing.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: And he was so mad.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: He like grabbed a suitcase.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: He's like, what are you doing?
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: And then he looked at us and took a moment, two of our like big bright faces just grinning ear to ear.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: And he had to laugh.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Uh because it was turnt.
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: It was turnt.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: And I just realized that and I just had to like lose my mind for a second.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Barefoot, underwear, and the best western.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: And I had on this sparkly green dress.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: I didn't go back in and change, whatever.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: I had my shoes.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: It looked just the situation just looked awful.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: And then we laughed.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: And also, let's just like we can quickly wrap this up.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: We went in.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: Best, it was like this crappy little best western.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: Best hotel I've literally ever seen.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: We say that all the time.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: There was like a turnt little like guy at the front.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: He gave us like Pepsi Zeros, Mountain Dews, Dr.
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: Pepper.
- 45:05SPEAKER_01: Brisk.
- 45:05SPEAKER_01: Brisk a brisk up nothing compared more to that brisk lemon tea at that time.
- 45:09SPEAKER_01: It was everything to us.
- 45:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I it ended up being everything.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: I loved the room.
- 45:14SPEAKER_01: It was just one of those moments where it's like, I love this hotel.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: So we go upstairs together.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: So that's why it's on the list of places I want to get baptized at.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: So we go upstairs to wrap the story up.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: Um, like, yeah, Jared's.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: We laughed for till the wee hours of the night.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: It would be like a few hours in, and you would just hear, so it was me on a queen, Dom on a queen.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: Jared has been passed out for like two hours.
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: Just he sleeps so quickly.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: And then we go and wait, did someone just like did someone throw a ball at the camera?
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, no worries.
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: I saw the monitor move.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: I was like, someone just hit me with a basketball?
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes.
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: We were just laughing at the weeb hours in the morning.
- 45:55SPEAKER_02: Dom kept being like, oh, it's brisk.
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: Like talking about his brisk.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: Edge brisk.
- 46:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: Anyway, moving on.
- 46:02SPEAKER_02: Best place in the whole world.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: Do you want to do your ICU or no?
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: Oh, I have an ICU.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, I'll keep it short.
- 46:09SPEAKER_02: My ICU is peeler's candy.
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: Which I, oh my god, I hate.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: I don't like a food or a candy that requires work from me.
- 46:18SPEAKER_02: That's why I was so surprised you liked a seafood boil.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:21SPEAKER_02: Because you do not like the work.
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: You don't like sunflower seeds.
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: You don't like to work.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Because the reward in a seafood boil is worth it.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: I will clock in, I will be sweaty, I will leave looking like a butterball.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: It's worth it.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: But a peeler, I just don't think it's worth it.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: Um there is the best peeler selection in the world out of five below.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: There's everything you can get three packs for five.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: Can I talk about five below for a second?
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 46:42SPEAKER_01: Five below could be the ICU.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: If you want cheap cologne, there literally is a, if you like polo, polo red, polo black, polo blue, they literally have a three-pack of a knockoff of the polos for literally five dollars and fifty cents.
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: They smell exactly like the real polo.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it smells identical.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: You may get a rash, but it smells like polo.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: Keep going.
- 46:59SPEAKER_02: Saving money.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: Yes, that the sunglasses, they have amazing$5 sunglasses.
- 47:03SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 47:03SPEAKER_02: Um, peelers candy, if you've not tried them, you pinch it at the top, you peel the sides, and you get a juice, like a really like gummy center, and then you eat the peel after.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: And then what's perfect is then you have like half of the candy stuck in your fingernails afterwards.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:18SPEAKER_01: You literally like my hands look like a lollipop that got dropped on the floor.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: No, genuinely.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: It's disgusting.
- 47:23SPEAKER_02: It's all no, it's great.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: Anything else before we say bye?
- 47:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I feel like Jared, come here.
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: What's your favorite thing about Lauren?
- 47:34unknown: Really?
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, lean in.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: Lean in.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: He's nervous.
- 47:37SPEAKER_01: We have a guest.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: Hey guys.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: Hurry.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: We don't have a lot of time.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: So my favorite thing about Lauren is um definitely how uh genuine she is.
- 47:47SPEAKER_02: Can we cut this?
- 47:49SPEAKER_02: I'm like over it.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: Now tell me your favorite thing about me.
- 47:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, wait, what did he say?
- 47:52SPEAKER_02: Did he say something actually?
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Genuine.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's nice.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Now tell me your favorite thing about me.
- 47:58unknown: Communication.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: No, we have to say it in the mic.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Dom's a top-tier communicator, and uh everybody.
- 48:05SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, you should go work for HR.
- 48:06SPEAKER_01: Like, like, oh my god, like Sam Skinny.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's Truth Serum.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for listening.
- 48:12SPEAKER_01: Follow us everywhere.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: We'll see you next week.
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 48:15SPEAKER_02: Bye.
