- 0:03[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to another edition of the social proof podcast.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: We find amazing people that are doing amazing things in the entrepreneurial space.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_02]: And we're bringing a repeat visitor.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: Last time we had a conversation, you do taxes and you have a tax company and you have 30,000 people that we're using the software at the time, or 30,000 returns.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: 30,000 returns, yes.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: On yourself where 30,000 returns were successfully executed on yourself.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: This year how many?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: We did over 50,000 this year.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're growing.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: You're definitely.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: If I do taxes, I can use yourself where.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: And how do you make money?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really like how do I make money I go get client.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: I say our money.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: I want you to do I want to do your taxes He says okay cool.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: We come up with a number.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: I use your software to complete his taxes.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: How much do I pay you?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I don't do taxes anymore, but when I did do taxes, normally it's depending on what type of tax return you're doing.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a simple tax return, may cost anywhere from $2 to $400.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right, so real quick, I charge our money 300.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing the taxes, I charge 300.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: I wanna use your software.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: How much do I pay you to use your software?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's only $2.99 to use our software.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: $2.99.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we have two packages.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: We have our first package that's for tax professors.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: $2.99 is that just total or is it for the year or what?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: Total for the year after we start with us, there is nowhere in Luffy.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: So I paid $2.99 and I get the software.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: But I can do as many taxes as I want.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then I don't have to pay you anything else after that.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: And we're probably one of the few companies that don't give out a renewal fee, most companies charge a yearly renewal, but, you know, we don't give out a renewal fee.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: We actually covered that software fee for the customer.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: So we're, okay, because I'm not in the space, what is the difference when you and whatever your competitors are doing in terms of software being able to execute these returns.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: So as far as the software is the same in the last time when we spoke, I'm co-branding the software so my logos actually go on on the software and so I'm providing software for tax professionals and what makes us different is the support side of it.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: the training that we provide, let's support that we provide for our tax software partners but education that we provide so we provide a lot of tools and resources to make sure that our partners are successful and also the the partner engagement is well too you know how we engage with our partners and the feedback that we get.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we sit down with a lot of our partners and get feedback so we can come up with better solutions to make sure that their job is simple.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so when you say you put your local meaning, there's a company that does.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: there's a company that created a software and you're white labeling the software and you're but kind of like high level.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: So high level as it's own software, right?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: But if I am an affiliate partner, I can build my own business on the high level platform.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: But what makes you different is
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: You use the software, but you're adding training, making it more valuable to use the software, whether they go what you are different company, but they go with you because you provide additional support.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: The additional support, yes.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: So like you've fried the marketing assistant, we teach you how to utilize the software, we educate you on tax return, you educate you on how to market online and offline.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas we provide everything for you.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: So we kind of like a one-stop shop, you know, that you can come in and everything that you need, we have it for you.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: How much do you pay for this software?
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I pay, I don't pay anymore because what happens is once you hit this certain threshold, you know, you don't have to renew it.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: You renew anymore.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started when I was going out a thousand tax return, I just didn't check if I had to pay a renewal fee.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: But after I hit a certain threshold, hey, you know, they're actually coming out of here.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: People reach out to you.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, we'll do this free for you.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you join our company, does that company charge some sort of processing for you though?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they charge a process and feed God it.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: So they so you got 50,000 people using the software and they have their processing field off 50,000.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: I like, bro.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's so genius because everybody feels like they need to build their own software in their own business.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: If I use your brand in software, you teach me how to use the software and teach me how to get money, but I get to build my business off of your software.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: With the training and support and things of nature, right?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: And you just did something with your team for like, what was this like after tax season or something?
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: So after tax season, like I was telling you that, I'm more of a partner focus business.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: I really focus on the partners and making sure they're successful.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: So this year we had our after tax season.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: We took, we have a top 1% program.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: And we took 25, our partners that, our service burgo that submitted the most tax returns.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: We took them on a cruise to the Bahamas.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it was a four day, all those cruisers crew because our company paid for everything.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: How many people?
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: 25.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: You pay for 25 people to go to the Bahamas.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: All expenses?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: All expenses, everything was pay for.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: But they got to get their own flight.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they got their own flight, use.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then once you get there, we take care of everything.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: How much you think you spent on that?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: You finally spent a little like $45 to $50,000.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think I should do that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like if we should take our money to the Bahamas,
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think you should.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very cool experience because you know, it was cool about that experience.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a question I wanted with that.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know about that experience because you were able to sometimes always focus on training and team building and we're in the space where we're just there's always about how much.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: business we could do, how much income we could generate, what we do better for our business and when we had opportunity to go on the cruise, I was able to really get the none of them on a personal level.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we talked, we had different conversations about life, family, business, you know, goals, success, you know, people were able to laugh and joking, those are really awesome experience and they got an opportunity to see me as well too, out of the work space and we were able to build close to relationships.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of like business growth and revenue, you can answer, you don't have to.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: What's your business bringing in here?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: This year, our total business.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now this was the profit I made.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: We made over $5.5 million.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, five point five million congratulations.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, I didn't make that.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean, running five, right?
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I had to pay people out this new thing.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the risk we always say.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: I can get to keep it all.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: You got to keep a good little.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Kebabu chunk of it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, when did you start this business?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: I started this business in 2011, you know, going into 2011, so I started as a tax professional, I started off doing taxes.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: You have to get a P10, which is a pair of identification number.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: You have to apply for your EFIN, which is a electronic filing identification number.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: You also, it's not mandatory for everyone, but I started off that way.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: I got, I took tax education courses online, why I got credits and get approved through
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see you.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I have a number.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: So in 2010 before taxi started I created my foundation.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: I did all the necessary things to be qualified to become a tax representative and how long was it before you when you started to software?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: I started the software team years later.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I got 10 years of experience before.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: So you were doing taxes for 10 years?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Or from 2011 to what?
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: 2021?
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you started the software in 2021?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, from 2010, and I started it, the software company in 2020.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: 2020.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you were running this tax, the software company for six years.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: The first year that you completely stopped doing taxes just to go all in on the software?
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: The first year, I continued to do taxes because that was generating most of my revenue.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then I slowly just build the tax software company and eventually two years ago, I stopped doing taxes.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: So years ago, you stopped doing taxes.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: When you stopped doing taxes two years ago, do you know what you're revenue was?
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: I stopped going to Texas.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: It was probably really really like five or six from your thousand.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: So you went from in the last two years, you're sent two three years.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: You went from 500,000 to 5.5 million.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big joke.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: You
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I bet it was great.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, think about this, right?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of people ask me, it's worse than how are you successful in the tax software is based so fast.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: So for 10 years,
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: I was doing the same thing every day, mastering the industry, I've learned how to market.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: And doing that time, I was going to events.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like I told you last time, I was going to your events, you were having, you were from the morning, meetup call.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was invested in trainings in Atlanta, trainings in Houston, you know, there were.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: everything that I could go to the learned because I want to close the gap.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I want to be successful.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I had to go to be extremely successful when I turned 40.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: So like, it was like, every training I could go to every online train.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: I was just investing, investing and training and also as well, I did my 10,000 hours.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I spent 10 years at something every single day.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so when I taught someone was really easy not long along with that, you know,
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: have a teacher certificate as well too.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: I was successful at network marketing learning how to build companies.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I was successful in management.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: So graduated from Hatching University of Iowa.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's a college degree.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: I also have a master degree in management.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: So all those combination of things together.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was able to hopefully attack software company.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: It gave me a advantage on other people because I was coming in with so much knowledge.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and a part of being successful in this space is
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: learning how to recruit and team build and how was already successful with that and the network marketing company I was previously with.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, everything we do contributes to where we're going.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, from my perspective, my own gosh, we're doing takes forever, make 5,000, 2 years later, into years we tend x the income, 11 x the income,
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: But it's not really about those last two or three years, right?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: Did you always know you'd be building a business this big?
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my first year as a service bro, which is you're having your own tax offer company, I read a book and he said that if you stay up, say consistent at one thing for five years straight.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't do anything else.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you people are along the way, people are going to come with you with other opportunities.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: You want to feel like you're not successful.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: And you sit there and just continue to work, continue to work.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: And you put everything to the side at some point.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: You want to feel like money's running out.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: But you just learned everything along the way.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: So what I did was something that most people want to do.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: for five years straight and nine o'clock every single night and did a 12 o'clock on Fridays for five years straight.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: I want every day, every day.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: Nine o'clock at night, every single day.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: There was no matter where I was at, if I did it from my phone, if I was in Atlanta, if I was in.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was stopped what I was doing.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: If I was at the event, I would stop what I was doing, I would walk out of room, I would go to my room, I would bring my computer, I did a webinar for five years straight.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: a webinar like traditional webinar system or just like on social media.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: A traditional Zoom call, me live and I was presenting my opportunity.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care for one person on or 50.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: I would do it.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started, there were people that went joined.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would still do the webinar because when I read the book, you said, you know, even just practicing your craft.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I would go on a webinar with no one on at like people wrong and eventually that led me for about three to about I got to that third year for two years.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: There was no less than 10 to 40 people on each webinar Hold on, bro.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: So for three years you got between zero and 10 people on
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, for the first two years, it was between zero, the 15, but then after I started to hang consistent, people knew that, hey, he's having a webinar every night, he's been doing it for three years straight.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so people started joining.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I developed a program called a resellup program.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: So people started reselling the software.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: I worked with amazing group of leaders that had been before a long time, they became resellers.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they were reselling the software, so they were inviting people to the webinar as well.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so we were working as a team, we start growing and consistently every night.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, whatever.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: What's it like when nobody's on the webinar?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's you and you're looking at the number.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: It says zero.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: You don't cancel the webinar, bro.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't cancel it.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because I knew that one day, faith is important.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: My parent had great parents.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: He talked about faith.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Faith was important to me.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, one day it's going to be 50 or 60 people on his webinar.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was just going off, hope and faith in dream and the dream.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I was getting a friend of webinar.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Kids would be quiet.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Just going like, hey, I was acting as a 50 people on the webinar.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Mm.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: You were married at this time, yeah?
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: But you're not broke, because you got your business going, right?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: But there's your wife ever checking, I'm like, oh, how many was on today?
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was talking to say, he's like, nobody showed up.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I would do, you do, I was just, why did you stay in the room?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, well, you were talking, I was like, well, I was acting as if people were on, you know?
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: She ever suggests, like, all right, bro, maybe, maybe just do it, maybe not every day, maybe once a week.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, I think that she understood the vision that I explained it to her because around your tin.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started, I woke up one morning and I went to another, look, I had like a vision of dream last night that was going to start this greening black company, there were a lot of people in the audience and I was on stage and that I told you later, you have to start just tomorrow.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: issue.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, well, you can start with me like, I got to start tomorrow.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the name is.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: The name is going to be.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I got to start tomorrow.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: I woke up that next morning.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: I went to Walgreens.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I got a composition notebook and I started writing down my ideas.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I just started.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: too much an investment at a time.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just started.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: I started.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I started developing and she believed it.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: So and I was like, it's not going to be simple.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a really difficult process.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: She believed it obviously gets hard because like wow, you know, you're going for this thing and every year I remember every year I would come back to her like look gonna be successful This year won't be I'm not doing webinar or something not doing anything We're out of the taxi and like let's do the webinars again.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think I didn't get those goals And so I like man.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the book and it's like five years.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember the book.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's at my house So I can't remember what it was
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: But it was like, I know it was a small blue and white book.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot the title But I just kept it in my head and she knew I told her I read the book and she understood the vision And I mean obviously You see someone working for 16 years so they got this vision sometimes assuming you might like this.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to work It was opportunity going to work.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: She believed him.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: She understood it had work at it.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I can bring myself to tell my wife the same failure story every day.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a waste of time.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I thought about, I thought about that the other day, man, so I told my sister, man, I always sat there for 16 years and saw me every day going hard, but guess what?
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: Now, she doesn't have to work anymore.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: to that working more.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I walked in our office last year and I was like, hey, quit your job, choose like what?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: Say quit your job, it's like I already got a photo shoot set up you to go into your real estate business and do it your website and do photo shoots.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to do it, do it if not, take your time.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: So at the time, it doesn't make a sense for everyone.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: And she understood, that's really hard for me.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I imagine someone asked you to sit there for 16 years straight and say, look, I'm going to provide opportunity for everyone to be successful with all of my goal to have a different foundation I had.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: So now, my son, he's in college.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's doing really well.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's a baseball player, my other son, goes to, he goes to a baseball academy.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: So all he does is work on his crowd.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: I was living in a walk away from corporate America, you know, comfortably, you know, walk away and not feel pressure to do things in a fast way, you know, my son's in, my seven-year-old son, he's like, Dad, your famous, he saw your podcast last year, like my daddy's famous he was on a podcast, I'm like, so I know it was just a podcast, it was a TV show, but I saw
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: He said awesome experience, you know.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: The second one.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let them be excited and proud of their dad.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, for me, because obviously, them seeing all of the stuff that you are able to accomplish, super proud, and what went to accomplish that, too.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And we never know if like he saw you and said, I want to be that to, I want to be on TV.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's message that you got from my son on Instagram.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I told him what I was doing.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: And how old are all your kids?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: My kids.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: I have a seven year old.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: I have a 13 year old.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: and I have a 20-year-old.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: So they say, congratulations, Dad.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you're having a lot of fun.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's really cool.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're in driving that Lamborghini.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Be safe.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations on all your hard work.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: How does it?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's 13.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: So guess what he's doing now.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's working hard.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: You understand the process.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, my dad, I saw my dad doing all that.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: They saw me doing those webinars for five years, three.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Say, like, you've been doing the work.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: Get the results.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: How many kids you have?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Three.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Um, with your wife?
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: Is this your first life that you were?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: When you're on me?
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: High school.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm meant in high school.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's about this, it's like a fairy tale like story.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we met in high school.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: We started dating with my sophomore year college.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: Somewhere you're a college?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, junior year college.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: which was, how old were you?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: I was 19.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: How do you know?
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: 40.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: 41.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: You've been with this one woman for 22 years.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: How'd you know me?
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: In high school, in...
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember exactly how when we first met by a new, it was in a school setting, like in a classroom.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I'm making up a cool story, so as you can see all parties, my man, she was in front of me and I just saw her and I said, I need that.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, that was a part of it.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, one of my friends introduced each other.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: introduced.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: I knew I saw her, but one of her, our friends, one of her best friends at the time introduced her as a young lady, how growling.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: It charged with it and they were actually communicating with each other and talking in there.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what was that?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and she
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: And we began friends at first and then after in college, you know, I thought it was cool in high school.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: Cool in high school.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Take me back to that screenshot.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: When were you?
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: What did you want to do when you were a high school?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to become.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that was.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: I remember a nice grade, I want to play football.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I never played football before.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, my dad was like, hey, look, you don't go out there and say, you want to play tight in.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, okay, cool.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: I went out there and didn't know anything about tight in.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just had a side out of six four and then I agreed, I was like two hundred and ten times.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: Six four and nine grade.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, six four and I agreed, two hundred and ten pounds.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: So my dad said, go out and play tight in.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: I went out.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: to play, I didn't have any experience.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: One of my best friends told me to put my pads on.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: My home to feel, I was excited about it, man.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: All these guys are gonna help me.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I went out a senior that I looked up to, I grew up with, he looked at me, my face said, man, you're gonna be, you're sorry.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: You never wanna be successful.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I looked at me and face, I didn't say anything.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: And my mind told myself, what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up, I'm going to be a joint.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm going to be a joint.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, I had opportunity to play a team those, they burned to us, school called Blancy Lehigh School, I was at a school called Deer for the time.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: I said, you know what, play them.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: I saw there are any just I want to get with those guys.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: If I get my, if I put myself around those guys, they're talking about college and they're talking about going to the vision when I have to go.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I, I went home, I said, the second, the following, I went, I said, I want to go to the school.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: I went there, those guys were talking about going to vision one, going to college being successful, working out and eventually, you know, I ended up getting the division on scholarship.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh wow.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I had opportunity to play for Happy University.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it wasn't the highest level of division one, but that fuel You know from that person telling me you can't do something.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: Just someone telling me that like you can't do it.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know like all right Watch I'm gonna put into work I'm gonna put into work when nobody's watching.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna put into work where everybody's playing I just can't sacrifice I understand commitment.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: I understand Patience you know, I was like okay Six years later.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm signed division one scholarship
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, school is paid for parents happy.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: And at this time, you're with your girlfriend.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm at her.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, not, no, I'm at her high school.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: We start communicating after I signed my division one scholarship.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now the reason why this is clear here.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, this is, I want to junior college first.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I had to go to junior college in Michigan.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason why because of first two years when I was in junior college, I didn't talk to it.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't, like, drink, I didn't talk to any women or anything.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: So in college, in college is.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's the place where you do all that stuff.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: But I was in during college.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I didn't have a scholarship, you know, so people were going out like, look, man, my mom called me.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: So my, my career is a little bit different.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: I go to college.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: I leave, I get on the plane, come back to Florida, work out, come back and probably put them like 20 pounds and I come back to the next, after the break, my mom calls me and say, hey, just want to let you know something.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I got cancer on them to give you $100 per month.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, so my what?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm coming home.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: She said no state Give you $100 per month at other my other two sisters at Florida and him Well the son my my other sister was working.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: She said I don't give you $100 per month.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: You got to figure it out So it's like whoa, I want to do now So I don't come home.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: She said I'll get better if you get your degree.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I got community.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: I just like look You know
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: What's the price?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was a price you had to pay.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you this or if you get your degree.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm taking, she's like, you're getting your degree?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, so I had to leave everything alone.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just sacrifice and I came home.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, here, you know, and she was like, go, well, why were I brought it to you?
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'll get even better if you get your bachelor's.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, ha ha ha ha.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, all right, okay.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: You'll get better, give me bachelor's.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: and I don't know if that was like a lot of cool, whatever it was, but I was doing, I was reporting the grades to where you know, I was stand out.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was, I had, I mean, academic honors and happening, you know.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you have to graduate, you know, I had a pretty RGPA, yeah.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: So that was, that was kind of my story.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the focus, it was like, that was, I knew I wanted to scholarship by all souls.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, my mom was giving me a hundred books, you know, I can't.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: I got to come home to scholarship.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: I got to graduate.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not fair.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: She put in all this work time effort.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: My dad problem is work time effort.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: My sister is working.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I couldn't come home and not be successful.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I had the different kind of like five years out of me.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: Is your mom still with us?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: She passed away.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she passed up here.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, she passed away.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was the one lesson you learned from your mom.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: Um.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think believing in yourself and believing in God having faith, understanding that you can do anything if you believe in some of my mother, my father.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they ain't still like great values in me, and they're really tough on me at first time to understand why, but now, I understand.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, they sacrificed the patience.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know,
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: in his, they didn't say to, they said a lot, but it wasn't too much.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: And often no, if you know what I mean by that, but in my parents, we grew up in a city called Deerfield, and we didn't.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: Deerfield Beach, Florida.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't have a lot, but it took us a chance to tell us how to do the necessary thing and they provide us a necessary thing that we need to be successful.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: We never hungry, we always have to clothing, both from graduate and from college.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: So they're probably making about $100,000 a year ago, but we have four.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: They have four children, that's indifficult, you know, so, but they sacrifice everything for us to go to college.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Even fixing the house, no, you know, doing it alone, you know, in the grass, painting the house, it's like, look, we want you guys to go to college.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: And whatever we got to do to sacrifice that, we don't care what other people say, we don't care what other people think.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: I need you all to go to college now, my sister is a principal, other sister is a teacher, all of us have college degrees, my sister, all of my sisters have master degrees except for one, but other as a master's degree.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sacrifice in the payoff.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: So what you see me now when you see the things that I'm talking about is really because of what my parents taught us.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: I like this story because a lot of times I have the conversation about success and how you make the money, but I'm extracting a lot from your story on how you became this way and because people don't really take a look at their story on how they got there.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard for them to duplicate more success because I don't remember the principles that I was learning along the way or I wasn't even like paying attention to it.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm super interested in this relationship between
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: How do you get, why does someone stick with someone when there's not many signs success?
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, there's love there.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: But then you become a liar at some point, right?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, we're going to live this lifestyle we don't.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to know, okay, in college, when you met here, when we started talking, when it becomes serious, before or after college, or during.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: at high school she knew I had a crush on her and I liked her, but during like sophomore year of college what?
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: going into junior college because she graduated from USF and I was going to have been that, you know, we start communicating.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: So we start communicating over something we knew each other and immediately, you know, before I got the hampton, you know, she was pregnant.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: So you immediately had to challenge us, stuck it, just right after junior college.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: rather during college came home.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: High school junior college came home, y'all together, or y'all's just kind of like just dating.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: We were together, but it was just happened fast, you know, like, yeah, you know, because we knew each other was, we knew each other since like 10th grade.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: So if we were talking and communicating, you know, I let her know like my journey.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I knew, I let her know what I was doing.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was trying to comfort.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I look, I'm trying to go to college and trying to start a family, you know, um,
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: What did you want to be at this time?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: At that time, I wanted to go to the NFL.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just try and take a risk on this and go to the NFL.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I understood, I started.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't fast.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I tied to the tight end, so I started looking like, I'm not going to make it to the NFL, but I'm sure I'm going to put it in.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to have a nice time when I get in here.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, do everything I need to do to be successful.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I, when
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: So at that time, I was like, look, you know, I just got a graduate from college.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when they happened like my graduate in college, you know, I'm still going to, you know, work extremely hard.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: I understood that my, the chances of getting to the NFL were getting slim just because of speed and the position.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was planning to have like the ability to have that position.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I made decisions like I'm going to graduate from college.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to make sure that, you know, my parents always told me like, look, you know, no, think about it now, think about later.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know what.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: what this is going to turn into, but I knew that I could always fall back on my education if something was to happen in life.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: So after you realize you're not going to NFL, what did you want to be?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't, I was unsure.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I want to be a teacher.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was just a lot of things and like, I'm gonna, we're kind of, I didn't know, you know, I was like, well, so I went on this two-year path and just trying to figure it out, you know, I taught for a little bit, working after school programs, then when income is to start to happen, you realize like, wow, I got to pay your rent, get a mortgage, get a pay for your rent.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm married at the side?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, at the college.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: four years, four or five years at the college, we got married, you know, so.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: We, that's when life starts here, you know, see like, well, I got a generate more income.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: So were you working at job at all?
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I was working at job.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was managing, it first, when I, my first, the first year I came home,
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: I was training just in case, because I still wanted to play some type of football.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: After that income became issue, I had a son when I was 19, so I was like, I gotta take care of my son, gotta take care of my family.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I deal with that move from Florida, move to Tampa and the first day I got there, I remember,
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: going on Craigslist and they said, um, look for, I have some history and security.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: I work in security jobs after college.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so I said, maybe I need to make some type of income.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I go on Craigslist.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I, um, I see a job at the nightclub to do security.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I go to Walmart, get some black boots, black pants and black yen, me and my wife go.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: She has some income.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: I came to Tampa with a pair of shoes
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: two pair of underwear is a one of your friends went to that yeah when my friends went to that field he gave me a pair of shoes he doesn't remember this one I was like broke you gave me that pair of shoes I was so excited because I was down I want you out of college I wasn't getting income anymore so I was happy I get the tamper
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: and I look on Craigslist for a job, a security job.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I go to Walmart, get some black boots, black friends to back t-shirt with my wife, and she drops me, she walks me, go to the night club, and then you get them and I see you jump in the same size, man.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I'll do anything right now to get this job, the security job.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if you have me white floors, whatever I got to do that, a couple of you gave me the job the next week.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now imagine me walking into the school board with a bachelor's degree and an understanding that I have a teacher certificate.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: No one said, I don't have a hiring freeze at the time, and I go to the principal, say, I'll be the cafeteria aid.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because you were your resume doesn't match that.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, it's not about that kind of feet in my family.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I did that and then I also, when he said, when he saw me do that, he said, look, I can get your another job until the hiring freeze is done.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I became like a manager at the school program.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: So with that income company, and I started become successful.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so it was just successful.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: I felt that was success, you know what I mean?
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you never seen $1,500 every two weeks, you like, wow, and you're not generating income, you like, I can feed my family, you know, success is not always about making $5 million, but if you can, my son was getting haircuts, again, I was getting haircuts, my wife was happy, we were happy, we were building at that time.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we thought that we were at that time in our life.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're like life's changing for us.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, who do you think?
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: So are you seeing a path of, okay, maybe one doubt you're a principal or something like that?
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: Because you know what I mean?
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't, I just thought I was excited, you know?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was just, I didn't know what was on least by just kept building.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I was like, well, when opportunities came, it just kept building and then that's when the opportunity came to do taxes.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: When I heard friends in college,
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: that a guy that she knew was dating her best friend.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was doing taxes.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: It became successful.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: He made $1.5 million this third year.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: He showed me the exact blueprint.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I had a foundation.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, if I can build off of this.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: And build, I understood, to build in process.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I can just brick my brick at least I'm going up and so an opportunity to generate income, you know, become successful, understanding that, you know, if I can do this and keep building it.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so I think that when you go back to my wife, you ask her, like, why would she always say, because she saw the process, she's like, man, anything that's man does, she's eventually successful at it.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's just security.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: Because you got to imagine, she brought me to Temple.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: We came to Tampa and we got the security job at the end of the security job as managing the nightclub at the security club.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: She had a manager in my got the job at the school board.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: I became a manager managing different schools.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: After that, what was it?
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: I did something else.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: I became a teacher.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: for a while and I became a team lead.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: So she's like, well, everything his person does, he eventually gets a leadership role or position, he kind of goes in and becomes successful.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: So you start creating that pattern like, I know it's going to work, but it's just a timing of it.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: The time is, so I start off, you know, under umbrella of a company and I open up my own company.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: So now it's like, okay, I got some patience.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, too, by no was going to work, everything he does, going to be successful with this and just taking a little bit longer.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: Matt, people complain about maybe their spouse doesn't support what they do, but...
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of times they haven't given that spouse any evidence or given them anything to support.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: But you're saying even like the small things like you would take things to that next level.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's it.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's really important.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: For those people that are saying, I'm building something.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: My spouse isn't supportive.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I've been at the same place for 10 years.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if there's no progression,
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I would imagine doing the taxes every year you make more and more and more people are coming, right?
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, was your wife ever making more of you?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, right now.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: What's that like?
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I just all believe in teamwork.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: So what you don't feel no way at all?
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, well, when I left, my mom was like, look, you know, when you go up there, you're not going to have a job.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: So it may be uncomfortable with you, but
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's may sound weird to you, but if you don't have a job yet, I know you've got to get one, because you know I understand my work that it was.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: But you handed a responsibility at home until it flips.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be the man who can't.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: not hand the responsibility at home.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: If you gotta go back, my mom told me that I'd raise you like, my son is not watching dishes, but he knows how to watch dishes.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: If you gotta hand this stuff and cook and clean and do all those things while she's working, because at that time, she's bringing it in, it's a 50-50 thing.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, once you get your job and you start doing those things in there, it may switch, you know, and but I understood that.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I was putting in my work because she was working.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, obviously our the income portion of it changed because I was working two and three jobs and the one taxes But that was kind of my mind said on it like I'm gonna put him out where he's 50 50 like what are we gonna I mean So you were a house husband for a while yeah for about like Month because I Sure, and you didn't feel any type of way at all like Nice, I was cool.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was like bro those week because at any days
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: together but the same mission is the mission is for us to be successful as like you know I don't I don't think I would feel away
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: But especially, like even right now, if my wife really starts turning up on something and she's making five, six, 10 million hours a year, she becomes a big celebrity.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: I will get the little apron.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: I like the cook.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's out of him.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's good to care.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: I got the kids.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take it to practice.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you keep building cold.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm strange.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: But I think at some point as a man, we've been taught that we should provide.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: And eventually, I think I would.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: If it goes on too long, I don't know if I'd be comfortable with it.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wasn't comfortable with it as well, too.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I got to give you an example when she was getting her master's degree.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, why should you be jumping that program as well, too?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: Mm.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: And get my master's.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: like, man, you know, what if 15 years from now I have another son and my son gets over like that.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you have a bachelor and my mother has a master to you?
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: What am I going to say?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I want to be the leader of my family.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, you know, let me just go in and get this master's really quick.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because how could I tell someone to do something?
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't do it.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: So now my son's in college.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's getting great.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I can tell him I look, I did this, you know.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: I got my son's, I got my bachelor's.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I don't want to see 10 years, you're not telling me 20 years, you're not telling him to get his master's in.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't do it.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so you still believe in for more education than that, what?
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I do.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: uh, I think we need to know things.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: We need to be smart.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: We need to know basic math.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: We know how to read.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of the formal training, if I'm telling my kids that you need to go to college or even a suggestion, I don't know if I'm giving that.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think for each zone, you know, for me, I want the college route and it was really, you know, successful for me because along with going to college, there were other things that I learned how to learn, you know, learn how to study, you know, learn how to communicate, I learned how to build relationships, I learned how to network, you know, I saw other people
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: I set down, you know, there's a thing that we did, where we set down on a, in the front of the school, like on this wall, we watched the freshman come in, but when the freshman were coming in, their parents were dropping them off in like, Benz's.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: Bentley's or Rose Royces and all these expensive cars.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what are we in South Florida?
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: I always used to tell you to corroborate.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what is your parents do?
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: My dad's a manager.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's a corporate manager, a team.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be home to speak company.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: So like, wow, am I missing something here?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: So that one thing that I saw, I'm like, wow, you know, and I can be something different.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: I never saw that before.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen so many people from our culture, successful in their fathers dropping them off and their parents dropping them off and like, I'm gonna be one of those people one day.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna do that, you know, I'm gonna like drop my son off one day and get him a full furnished apartment and go help him put all the stuff in there I'm gonna get him a car one day.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: I got just brought my son up new Mustang
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, in college.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: So he's in college playing baseball around new Mustang.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: He got his own apartment You know, so I was like, I'm gonna do that.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's like I'm so for me that was my experience I know some people say hey don't go to college, you know, but from you know me
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: I want to want to top HBCUs in country, having a university and one of the life-changing for me, just to sit in the classroom.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: So when you're successful in individuals and have the opportunity to talk to people and see their mindset, see how they grew up, and you know, and just see your goals and your visions, or you know, and you want that for your kids?
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: One for you, sir.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe because I had a different experience in college,
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't a waste of time in terms of the experiences because I would not take those experiences back for the world.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now I didn't get much from college to education side because I didn't apply myself and I didn't, I didn't put in that work.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: I played the whole time.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, cool.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe my perspective of college, I look at it as great for networking, great for an opportunity where no one's telling you what to do, no one's telling you got to be at school, nobody's telling you that you got to do your homework.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's you and you.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know if that environment was good for me or toxic because I learned a lot of toxic ways in college, but
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: the education side I didn't get, I wound up getting from the real world experience.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know how I feel about wanting my kids to go to college necessarily other than the experience, but now those experiences could have a negative effect.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: You learn and become whatever that college offers and the friends that you decide to get around.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's when you start picking up your first experiments, whether it's substance,
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: maybe liquor, you know, sexual encounters or, you know, that's just the vibe and conversation.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: At least when I went to, I would all have been made and that is the five we party.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's been.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I don't know how I feel, man.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: I, um, well, for me.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: I was a college athlete as well too.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: So when you're a college athlete, you're more structured.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: Most, as far as, oh, yeah, because you got like two days.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: And two days, you're so busy, you know.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I did tell my kids like, look, go.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: I understood that for you, I go through this process because what I do think what you stated is true for some people.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, look, you want to go through college and get the,
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: athletic experience because I know that for me, for me to get on that field and happen on Saturday morning or Saturday, I think I had to get great grades.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for me to do well, you know, I had this day consistent and focused.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: If you meet a player, they show up at practice on time.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: So those skills that I have, I apply to business.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so for me, like my son's play baseball.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, so they're always training, you know, always training.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: So now that the regiment is scheduled, it's not a lot of room for play.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I really, I said, they get, it, it helps them a lot, you know, so he's all, it's teaching them structuring.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of things that I learn from college, I apply in my business, you know, like, I had it, like, for my experience, like, every,
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: Every level I won, I won a national championship, I won a state championship in high school, I won a national championship in junior college, I won a national championship in Henry University.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: So those things that I was being to one of my partners with them, I won a national championship at every level.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: and I took those things and applied to my business like now people see like why are you successful now my look because teamwork you know systems processes structure I've been a part of championship atmosphere so I applied those things at business so uh
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: I applied it into the tax business and we have this championship atmosphere.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm taking all these things I learned from college and high school friends and things that I didn't like and things that I did like Reading all those tools and resources on my planet.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: The business is helping become successful.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I always think that depends on that person's personal experience You know because if you ask my son, he's like I love college right now because he's learning so much But I also tease him about entrepreneurship as well
- 48:52[SPEAKER_01]: You have college, but also want to teach you about entrepreneurship.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I told them to go to make sure that you get your minor in business.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry about entrepreneurship, so I daddy has it.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: You want to be entrepreneur, I want to show you every step of the way to get the best of both worlds right now.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: Love it.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so I do want to, I mean, we really talk much about the tax business itself because I think the story that we talk through today can be inspirational and motivational to anyone, any type of business that they're going to, what I'm gathering is you are committed and you lock in, you understand that there's always another level, we need to get to that other level.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: And there's some things that need to have that, things that have to happen.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of you aren't willing to do those things, but in your best for the Southical way, why do you think people aren't willing to do the thing?
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: They know they should do to get to the next level.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think that everybody won't see it.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: At this moment, right?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I think everybody won't see it fast.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: and they want it easy and they're not willing to sacrifice.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: And also with social media as well.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of people are promoting lifestyle.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you join my company, you will become a millionaire and overnight or six months or you become six figure earner.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: They promote lifestyle for me.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: If you go to my page, I don't promote lifestyle.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: I promote your page.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: Success.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Go to the tax base.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't promote any lifestyle.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: I only promote success in testimonials and the client experience and the products and services that we offer.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Instagram is the tax-beez, which is.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Tax-beez, B-I.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's easy, it's easy.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to call it that tax-beez.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you promote just the businesses and the client experience?
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have a podcast?
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: I have one.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: I have a fire idea for a podcast for you.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm really, really open to hearing it too.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be crazy.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: I was shooting and producing for you.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, do you have a lot of clients in Atlanta?
- 51:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got some for you, bro.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: So if you see I don't promote any lifestyle and I'm wondering the leaders in industry.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's the fact.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: I only promote the client testimonial
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: Orlando tax pros, what is that?
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: There's something called the IRS tax form.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: And you can take, you can go to partners there, you can get education experience, you have this IRS has big conventions, they have about four or five of them every year in different locations in the United States.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: And Orlando, I have a lot of partners in Florida.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're doing a meetup during that, oh, oh, oh, you got your own squad.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I, I, I, I, I, I kind of how it's so late for pocket summit.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: People out in the space, they have their own little meetups with their own communities.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I mean, that's fire.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, bro, we, we all turn up your social, bro.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have a whole plan for you.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: Don't you worry.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because you, I mean, you got people making money.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you said.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: And what are some of your most successful stories?
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: I have a partner named Q-Kimboro.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Q, say again?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: Our name is Q-Kimboro.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: she came to us without any experience and four years ago, no, she's making well over $400,000 a year.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's wow.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: Over two thousand partners.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: My sister, Candace Hill, she got started with me without any experience.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she has over 3,000 partners, you know, making well over 4,500,000 dollars, well, too.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of, I must say everyone, you know, but a lot of the successful tax professionals that you see online, they either probably.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: an evil or mentorship or a part of one of our programs, you know, a lot of people that a part of our program also have a program as well too, that like I have one person on our team that does 12,000 tax return, but she's a part of our program that you can actually come to me and I won't tell people that you partner with us.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I just give you my entire blueprint.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean?
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: So you could come to me, you could say, what's it?
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want people to know that I partnered with you because I don't want them to skip over me to get to you.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you my entire blueprint without a person even knowing that you're part of it.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: And we would just talk on the following that we're post showing my page, I'll never telling anyone that we're partners, I'll help you all behind the scenes, no one would ever know.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's dope.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I have people that are in that program as well, too.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I can't say their name on a social media, a few people, you know, so and they're in that program and they're really successful.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: hmm okay um yeah we got you already you're doing well but we turn up that social media brand because you have real story there's not a lot of people not a lot of people lying there having real success and influential online
- 54:49[SPEAKER_02]: difficult.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like because you're locked in, you're building your business, you're having real success in your helping other people have success.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, because maybe you become successful because you're not on social media like,
- 55:04[SPEAKER_02]: in a heavy way, right?
- 55:05[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're not worried about all that, you're worried about building the business.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people who are worried about their prestige and brand online, which causes them to struggle in building a business because they're worried about the wrong thing.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: But when you have both your impact and your voice becomes just so much bigger.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to turn it up, right?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to turn it up, we're going to turn it up, we're going to turn it up, we're going to turn it up, not a little part, we're going to turn it back, guys, we're going to turn it up, okay.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Last thing, what do you do with your money?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I save a lot, I save a lot, and this, I invest, but also save a lot, I believe in, I think that a lot of people are, hey, you know, do this, you can do that, but what if I just backed up for a long time, the right decision came along, because look, I have a house, right?
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: I got offered an eight-bedroom with a big piece of land, well look, I just get this house and find, you know, I don't have like a lot of...
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: expensive cars, you know, I have a new car, but the car that I could get or that I probably won't, I don't have it, you know, so it was like, I'm living a really simple life form saving and that allows me to do things like, you know, for example, I fly first class everywhere I go, you know, every weekend, I can do anything I want, you know, my wife doesn't have to work in my second go to college.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: If you doesn't get the scholarship, I can pay for him to go to college, so, you know,
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I save a lot, you know, I just stack and then when an opportunity comes, I believe in patience like, well, if I got an opportunity to invest in the home, let's purchase it and flip it, but if it doesn't, there's no pressure on me.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I live a lifestyle where it's not a lot of pressure on me, so I can wake up, like if I want to go to a huge marketing campaign like I just did now, you know, I can.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: I can do it, you know, I don't have to.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: Having the one drop me the change or have to, I mean, huge debt, you know, because of that, you know, and, you know, I also understand that our family put in the work, you know, so the same way that,
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: I had to go out and work and told you that I was struggling.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: That person has to do it.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not just freely telling people, like, hey, I can help you.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: I understand, no, yeah.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not helping my, I'm not helping, like, you have some success towards what people are like, hey, you know, when I get there, I'm gonna, if I make a million dollars, I'm gonna give this to my family and buy my sister.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of, you know, I gave my sister opportunity.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: All the sisters are,
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: Principles and teachers so Then my dad always shows my dad always told us something like every man for yourself Yeah, so it's like you got a provide those I'm providing opportunities for my wife and Provisions for my sense of my look.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: You got to go out and do this thing on yourself.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_01]: I want to help you So I save and you know and keep everything to the minimum and
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, that's kind of what I do.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and obviously my wife, and I've got to do real estate as well too.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm a very patient person and say even.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_01]: Understand, I can sit here for two or three years and just continue to save and when the opportunity presents itself.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, first off, thank you.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: on all that you accomplished, I think you have a story that is inspirational and I appreciate it.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you will inspire a whole whole lot of people, not just with your success, but for who you are and your perspective on the way of the world and how it works.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I just encourage you keep telling your story, bro.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: And again, you know, people come on and we talk a lot about how to build the thing.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: I truly believe you can't build the business until you become the type of person that can build a business and I can see why you're successful.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's your mindset, the way you look at things, what you've extract there from your past and your commitment to your family or kids, man.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: So it can graduate from everything, what I do when I know as we close it out, do we miss anything that we forget anything?
- 59:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just kind of for me, I opportunity as well to just to say, you know, I appreciate you for having me come on.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know you probably didn't know me, but I got pictures of my phone from events.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_01]: I used to go, I took the pictures with you in the past.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, it was in the morning.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: It made up morning.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: Meet up.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I had some events that there was one thing that you that you said one time.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: that kind of stood out to me.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: I remember you, you've got to remember this as well, too.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: When you used to say, is it easier to learn how to make more money?
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: Or is it easier to, to save memories from like that?
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: Learn how to ways to, like, you'll remember you used to say, like, you said a few times, probably four or five years ago, you used to tell people, like, what's the easiest, you learn how to make more money or just try to save it?
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: Do you remember saying that?
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember that.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you had asked that question, I was like,
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: What about learning how to create ways to make more money instead of just like not like enjoying life you know like our rather well let me if I want to live this type of lifestyle let me figure out how to become
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_01]: a real history, so I can make it just $3,000 a month.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_01]: You said that I wanted to mean those like, well, let me figure out some ways to make more money.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so at that time, during that growing process, I was like, while I still wanted to stick to what I was doing.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I try to create different revenue streams from the same business.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm opening up an events marketing program, where,
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Tax professors had the opportunity to go on podcasts and do photoshoot, send AI, so that certain group of people who say, look, what's an eye, I think I want to go on a podcast.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go do what you're doing.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_01]: So now that's additional opportunity for our company, dinner, income, but also opportunity for the partner to generate more income as well too.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: And lastly, just, you know, if you're out there, if you're a person, you know, guys,
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_01]: not have success or you're probably looking at social media and you're seeing the flashy things, I always tell people like, look, if you stick to what you're doing and you stay focused, you know, focus on your life, focus on your business and you work on those necessary things, you know, if you, hey, if you don't, if you're afraid to speak,
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, go to Toastmasters this year.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't understand how to do taxes, take some tax education courses, work behind the scenes, put in the work, and eventually if you work on yourself and you work on those necessary things, you'll wake up and people say, wow, you have overnight success.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: but there's so much work that you did behind the scenes and people think it was over and it says, it was really the work that you put into make sure that you're successful.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate that my brother, man, please.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: I let everybody know how they can get in touch with you and how they can work with you as well.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm gonna close it up.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you want to become a tax professional, I have two packages.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can become a tax professional at our Tier 1 package and go visit www.TheTaxBiz.com.

- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_02]: A pilot is brother and his journey.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to turn them up on social media just why I should I tell you, I got just a immediate concept, really.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: So what I'm thinking is because obviously, why don't you know, are you looking to build your own personal brand like?
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can't.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're different.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping to because obviously I built the tax beads.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I think I will build the personal brand as well too.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what I see in there are companies that are approaching this right now, but I think it'll be more companies approaching it, probably in the near future.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_02]: Where if you had a show or podcast, right, where it's around the tax business and it's educated, but educating people on the tax business through the lens of the people.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_02]: that are on your team or people that are using your service, right?
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_02]: So a benefit of them being a part of the team is they can be a part of this podcast.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_02]: And every single week, it might change person, but the topic is the same.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_02]: Financial literacy, wealth, whatever.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_02]: The name of the show should be the name of your brand because it won't allow people to come in and want to use your brand.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_02]: Your services too.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_02]: The people that are, uh, this is a great benefit for the people that's connected to you because they get more content out.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_02]: and they stick with you longer and they want to go build because if they build their brand I don't know if you make money based on do you get you get a processing fee like if I'm one of your tax professionals yes I get a processing fee yeah so I I make you know from seven to twenty dollars off of every single tax return so think about think about this
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_02]: If I continue to use your service, you can see you to make money.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_02]: You've got 10,000 people you use in a service, you make money.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: The more incentive I have to keep using your service, because you're helping me build my brand through kind of like this content thing.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_02]: Even if they pay a little bit for the production of the podcast, I say, all right, well,
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it calls me $5,000 a month to run this.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to have an episode that you can use, we put it on our channel, but you use many clips as you want.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a content for the day for them.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_02]: $5,600.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying, you start creating not only successful tax professionals, but you create influencers.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_02]: by having the hub and your building, your personal brand.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a lot of ways it works and I'm going to produce it for you.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_01]: So appreciate it.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_02]: All right, y'all, man.

- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_02]: But.
