  When I was in the military, we had a strategy of how we gonna conduct ourselves in battle.

  Well, in life, you gotta also identify how you gonna deal with your enemies.

  See, see, for years I didn't understand this, and as I started to understand, I had to go back to the Word.

  How do I operate against my enemies?

  How do I-- what's my behavior of how I deal with my enemies?

  See, you gotta love your enemies.

  But before you can love your enemies, you gotta know who you're fighting.

  That's the title, Love Your Enemies, and we're gonna start off in the Book of Matthews.

  Matthew 5, we gotta love our enemies.

  In Matthew chapter 5, we're dealing with verse 43 to 48.

  That's where we're gonna start from now because we're gonna get an understanding.

  First, we gotta know our enemies, then we gotta love our enemies So in Matthew 5:43-48, let's just deal with what Jesus is teaching us in his word.

  "You have heard that it has been said,'Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thy enemy.'" Old Testament.

  But watch what Jesus says,"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." For if you love them which love you, what reward have you?

  You remember the saying in the Our Father prayer,"I'll forgive you," God said,"I'll forgive you as you forgive them." Well, he was doing the same thing, but in a different manner.

  The minute you try to live Christly or try to live righteously in Christ, your enemy is gonna show their face.
