- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: Not recording.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: That was brutal.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, amateur hour over here at the dog's podcast.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: Goodness, but We've rewound it went back.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: He did it over again Got the 53 man to you guys on Monday, which has as we said changed since then so I'm gonna go through Some of the additions subtractions some things that the Browns have done over the last couple days since they announced the initial 53 man roster on

- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: Who we will hear from some of those guys today on the show.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's rewind here a little bit.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: We will talk about some players that the Browns have added to the roster.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: So yesterday came out that the Browns signed, let's see, where do I want to start?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: We have so many.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Let's start with the defense event first, okay?
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: So we know that the Browns added, who was?
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to go through these notes here.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, a Toriano pride junior.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: on Monday after roster cut downs.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: So in order to make that addition to the roster, you got to get rid of somebody.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: They waved, eddressure, Julian O'Kwara.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who to this point has not been signed back to the practice squad?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen any news or updates on Julian O'Kwara.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we got Toriono Pride at Cornerback.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then yesterday, we waived Cornerback Michael Coats Jr., the UDFA out of West Virginia, who had such a fantastic training camp preseason.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: He was kind of looking like the next UDFA player to make this roster on defense.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe play some very meaningful snaps for the Browns at the nickel corner spot, something that we have been.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that was the reason to go get Toriano Pride, is because he can play in that nickel spot.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, the ankle injury for Michael Coat seems to be, you know, linger in a little bit longer.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping today, I don't have the news yet.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm recording this before things have gone through the wire.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm hoping he gets through waivers and the Browns are able to get him back on the practice squad.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to tell you guys right now and let me know what you think in the comments.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Coats Jr. to me when I watch him play and the whole story behind him, I guess I can go through that real quick for you guys if you, I'm sure you've all heard this.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: just I'll do I'll do a short rendition.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Coats Jr. did not play high school football at all.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Not a snap.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Never played high school football.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he decided instead of playing sports, he wanted to work at the local arcade or something like that.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: He worked like the 5pm, the 1am shift at the arcade.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Did that all throughout high school and then even after high school continued working at the arcade.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and apparently realizes some point like I kind of want to do something more with my life and he was scrolling through Facebook actually found an ad for a local community college Try out for their football team thought mmm what the heck went and tried out for for this football team made the the squad
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, ends up playing football, ends up transferring to West Virginia, and played very well last year for West Virginia.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: The problem when we talked about this when the Brown signed him after the draft, why did he go undrafted?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well,
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: size.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's an undersized corner and age because of waiting longer to go to college and, you know, taking advantage of his eligibility to play sports and college, he's like 25 or 26 already.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: So he's in much older rookie than what you would normally see.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: All right, sorry for the cut there.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to go and make sure on the age things.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: He is 25 years old and like I said, older rookie.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: trying to think I want to lay this out.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: So for having played no high school football, and you think about the foundation of football that kids get by playing throughout middle school and high school, I mean, you know, you get the fundamentals of the game and the position that you're going to really be special at for the most part.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of, I mean, there are guys that obviously transition positions and all this stuff.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: But he didn't have that.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: He never got that foundation in high school.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't get any of that mental training, the muscle memory, all this stuff that comes with the years of playing those years of experience that he messed out on.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was reading somebody, I don't know if it was a family member, close friend, family friend said anytime that his friends or cousins or whoever that were playing college ball or high school ball would get together and they'd play football, backyard football and stuff like Michael Coats was playing right there with them at all times even though he didn't have that skill set.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: from actually playing organized football.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: So for him to then just basically try out and walk on to a college team, transfer to a major D1 team at West Virginia, play well there.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then obviously goes undrafted but gets signed immediately as a high priority UDFA with the Browns.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then, not only that, but to come into training camp, your OTAs, many camp training camp, and then in a pre-season games, interceptions, past deflections, lock-and-down receivers.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's not going against first-strain guys out there, but he's holding his own against these NFL talent players.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I just feel like everything that he's been able to do,
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: given the lack of reps, the lack of experience in his younger years of football, I feel like there's a much higher ceiling from Michael Coach's junior.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm sorry, I did say I was gonna be quick.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't quick, nothing but me as quick.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: You guys know that.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think Michael Coach's junior is a guy that Browns need to keep on the practice while they need to continue developing because,
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as this year, and I'm going to get into this with some of these other roster moves and where we're at with the positions that me and Kenny especially, we've been very nervous about this entire time all summer.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns, I've got a feeling you're going to need a guy like Michael Coats Jr. to come up from the practice squad at some point this season and play defense for the team.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like Michael Coat's junior is very good player.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: It could be like, to me, it looks like a Ronnie Hickman situation where we had Ronnie Hickman as a UDFA rookie, you know, he plays some special teams, a little bit of defense and everything, but over like the first three years then of his career developed and turned into a legitimate starting free safety for the Browns defense.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: feel like the same sort of situation could play out.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: For a guy like Michael Coach, Jr. that talent is there for this kid.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: But he's waved.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's not currently on the practice squad or anything.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: So again, by the time you're listening to this or watching this, maybe the news has already come out that he's been put on the practice squad.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: I hope to God we can keep this guy because I really like him.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really do.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so they wave Michael Coats Jr and then the speculation is okay, obviously this is a move in preparation to add some sort of defensive end right because we've only got three now since we cut Julian Aquar there are only three edge rushers on the active roster with Jared verse Isaiah McGuire and Derek Barnett so it that's exactly what the move was for the brown sign edge rushers Sam Williams who is Sam Williams former second round pick.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: by the Dallas Cowboys back in 2022 so round two number 56 overall by the Cowboys in his career down there in Dallas 49 games only five starts 85 tackles nine and half sex three four swumbles.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: So right now, Sam Williams 27 years old, six foot 4261 pounds Dallas, like I said, selected 56 overall.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, this is a guy who's guy, very good potential.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he came out of Ole Miss and I'll talk about just real quick about Ole Miss.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: good potential as an edge rusher.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: It just, it never, really materialized into what, obviously, the cowboys were hoping for whenever they drafted him.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: So coming out of Ole Miss, it is final season there in 2021.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: This guy was voted 13 all-American.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: First team all SEC, he was fifth.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: In the entire nation with a school record set the school record that year with 12 and half-sax in 2021.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: So definitely had that pedigree and the production that got teams gone man, this guy could he could be a player here in the NFL.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: So over his first two seasons, then in Dallas, he had eight and half-sax,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: over those first two years and that was playing primarily as a rotational past russia he's not playing like hundred percent of the snaps he's not starting on the edge or anything like that but his first two seasons weren't terrible they just weren't exactly as obviously they were hoping for when they took him and then going into 2024
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's when the Cowboys were really like anticipating this big leap forward.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about that to his Browns fans with guys like Isaiah McWire, Alex Wright.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're kind of looking at the same thing.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: For this guy Sam Williams and hoping OK, here in 2024, we're going to have a big role and be a bigger impact player for our team.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Suffered a torn ACL and MCL during training camp that summer missed the entire 2020 force season.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the story there.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: He came back in 2025, started five games at 37 tackles, seven tackles for loss, but just one sack.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: He did block, I think, a field goal and a punt during that season.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: So showed some flashes and value on special teams as well.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: 2020, six.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: So just here back in March this year, signed a one year deal to return to Dallas.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: But then, over the weekend, Sunday Dallas did wave him as part of their final roster cut downs.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: So the concern here for Sam Williams, as the Browns add him to their 53-man roster as that fourth edge rusher in the rotation.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: The concern is that his career has never been consistent and there's been some discipline issues.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna go into it.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: There was an incident when he was in college.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: I believe there's been some other things while he was in Dallas.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't really looked too deep into it.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: I just know maybe a change of scenery is what this guy needs.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping there's not like a head case situation there.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't be unlike Andrew Barry to take us.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: A flyer on a guy like that, but whatever, I'm not going into that right now.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: There's the thing with Sam Williams is the athletic ability.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's got it.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like this dude has it.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Dallas, unfortunately, they were never able to get that and turn it into consistent production on the field.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the Browns will be able to probably not 27 years old.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: You've been through however many years you're career to this point.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of are what you are.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see, maybe like I said, maybe the change of scenery.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe some of that can help him.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's another year removed now from the knee injury.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see the positive for the Browns here with Sam Williams.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Is this is a kind of like when they signed, what was his name?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: The Eddresher from the Falcons last year.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: His name is escaping the Joe Trion Shoyanka.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: There's a name.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: I got another interesting name to try to pronounce for you guys too here in a little bit.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, you got this low-risk, potentially hyper-warred type player that you're adding to the roster.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't pan out at some point this season.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can just cut them and add somebody else.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's just kind of how this is going to play out, I think.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: for Sam Williams.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: The upside is there.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there's a chance he could be really good in his rotational role.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Again, we're not asking him to come in here and be a starter or be, you know, the opposite of Jared verse and be that, no, he's just going to be in the rotation.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: So that could help him maybe elevate what we've seen out of those flashes and then those moments in Dallas.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we did, and that's what the Browns did at the edge rusher position, and then another move, they made yesterday.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess this is another defensive line move.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, a few of them.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: So they placed, you guys know.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: I've already talked about a corner back in Tory on a pride.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to talk about another corner back.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I never talked about two, I guess, Michael Coast Junior, but we let him go.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've already talked about an edge rusher.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: The positions that me and Kenny have been so worried about this entire time on defensive and cornerback, and the defensive line primarily that interior, but as soon as we lost Alex Wright then it became the entire defensive line, is a question mark now, like what are we going to do here?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: and a guy that we've, I've been very worried about.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even know if he would make the team.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Defensive Tackle, Khalia Davis.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: He got injured on the very first day of training can't way back in July, the end of July.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: And hasn't been back since.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: He has been hurt ever since.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's never practiced.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's never been on the field.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: And we just found out he's been placed on injured reserve with a quad injury.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: So now Khalia Davis will miss at minimum, say we're doing Gabriel, the first four weeks of the season.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: So that puts us behind the eight ball now at the defensive tackle spot where you've got Mason Graham.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then you've got Malik Collins who, last I checked, is hopeful for week one.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he's practicing and everything.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he has been cleared for practice.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: We still don't know if he's going to be a full go for a week one coming off of his season, uh, ending surgery that he had over the opposite of whatever last year.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, and then it's my call junior, you know, Iron Man Mike, whole junior who, uh, yeah, he never misses any time or anything like that.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: It just concerns me, especially since the Browns are trying to rep my call junior on the edge.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Who the hell is going to play the interior?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: Who's our rotational guys there?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have anybody now.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: concerning.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, there's eight in Huntington, but he's definitely your rotational guy across the D-Line.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's not really a prototypical interior, you know, no stack or defensive tackle type player.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: That was Clea Davis.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: That was Clea Davis.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now we don't have him for the first four games.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: So the Brown signed back defensive tackle Sam Kamara, who's been with the team for years and years.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now back to the practice squad, and we signed defensive tackle Chris Williams, who I believe was on the practice squad last year.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, I'm not 100% on that, but it's a familiar name.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: He has also been signed to the practice squad.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: So we made some defensive line moves yesterday.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by my bookie.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: You guys want to start football season with a bet that feels like it can't miss.

- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: My bookie is asking one simple question.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: Will the Seahawks raise their championship banner that night?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Of course they will.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: They're the defending champs their home opener and raising the banner before kickoff is part of the celebration.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: And you're getting that bet at plus money odds.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're getting paid to say, yes, the Seahawks will do the thing.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: The entire night is built around.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the first my bookie lock at the season.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: And there'll be more coming all season long.

- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: We did sign another guy with former high draft capital.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go, I'm gonna try to pronounce this.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Noah, egg binogany.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: I can't say, if I try to say it fast, I know I'm gonna f it up.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, Noah, Igby, I don't know what to do, guys.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna call him Noah.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just gonna call him Noah, you guys know I'm talking about former first round pick by the Miami Dolphins back in 2020.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's 26 years old, five foot 11, about 200 pounds, originally selected 30th overall, like I said in 2020, by the Dolphins, came out of all burn was actually a wide receiver.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: I found out when he first arrived at Auburn then converted to corner back.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a kind of an impressive athletic background.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Both of his parents were Olympic track athletes and he was actually, he competed in track what he was that Auburn as well.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now his NFL career did not go as he expected or as the dolphins were hoping.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, during the three seasons he was down there in Miami, so it just didn't really materialize kind of similar to the ways Sam Williams was.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's Let's just take a step back here before I go on.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: We are signing guys at other teams have said no, thank you to these we didn't trade for these guys.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't, you know, unrestricted free agents that chose us in the process like
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: they were cut.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: These are players that were waived by their teams and I've seen this posted on social media and I don't really disagree.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's kind of harsh, but we are definitely sifting through other teams scraps right now to put together the back end of our roster.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: And we knew this was going to happen.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's why I'm a little bit nervous
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: no our projections for this season overall because we know we're going to experience injuries, we're going to, you know, have to rely on whatever depth we have on the roster and, you know, this is the way we're putting it together and the players that we've let go, really think any of them have been signed, nobody got claimed after roster cut downs that we cut.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anybody signed.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: anybody we cut.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I know the Saints just added Senator Toman to their practice squad.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: So there's one.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think Daven Boot Devon Booth, however you say his name, the running back, he landed on a practice squad, I forget with who, but.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, our scraps that we let go were a lot worse than the scraps.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: So we're sifting through to get from other teams.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I hate not trying to say that like Sam Williams is a scrap.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just using that metaphor for you guys.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: But again, their players that their team said, now we're good.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: But to get back to Noah, Ignogany, I think I'm getting this.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Ignogany, just I'm gosh darn it.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: Stick with Noah Josh, stick with Noah.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: So three years in Miami, Fondoa didn't go very well for him, down there, he got traded then.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: So again, back to the Cowboys.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: They traded, let's see, two Dallas, one year with the Cowboys, and then I believe he was let go after that season.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: signed on as a free agent with the Washington Commanders in 2024 and this is where the story for Noah gets a little more interesting for the Browns right now.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: So in 2024 he played all 17 games with 10 starts, finished with 55 tackles and 7 pass breakups for the Washington Commanders.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now why was that season?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: more notable than any of the other previous four years that he played in the NFL between Miami and Dallas.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: When he got to Washington, they experienced injuries at the corner back position.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Some other guys got hurt and Noah had to transition.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: He had to move from playing primarily outside corner and became the commander's starting nickel corner.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: And that is where he finally saw an experienced consistent production at the NFL level.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: And that was great.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: So then he resigned with Washington after that season in 2025 last year, 15 games started two of them, 35 tackles, five PBUs and he did have a sack.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: So after making the transition to the nickel corner spot,
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Noah finally started to have success at the NFL and that is what the Browns are banking on by adding him to the roster.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's got, first of all, he does have experience like returning kicks.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: So God forbid, we have injuries or we just need to put somebody else back there.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: We want to rotate through and not just have the same people returning kicks all the time for health reasons or injury or whatever.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: This guy you can stick back and he can return kicks for you if need be.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: So their special teams versatility with him, that helps you make the back end of a roster.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about that with guys like Luke Floria who unfortunately got waived and not brought back to the practice squad, but the versatility on defense also helps the browns a lot as much as it helps Noah to make this roster and to be one of the guys we're going after here because
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: something, you know, a Denzel Ward, Tyson Campbell, they need to come out.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: You need to pop somebody out wide to play on the outside.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: You can do that, wouldn't know.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: And now that might not be the preferred spot to put him, but he's played there.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: He can do it.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: and the Browns are trying to nail down the nickel spot.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I really, and I know like all through training camp, and preseason we heard from the Browns, oh, we like Miles Harden.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Harden's are starting nickel, like he's that corner back three.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there is high on Miles Harden as what they wanted us to think.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, whenever he's the only guy you know, you have for your roster at that point, you have to say those things about him.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: You can't be like, yeah, he kind of sucks.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're really hoping somebody gets cut that we can bring in here to replace him.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to say that.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're actions.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: are speaking louder than their previous words about Miles Hardin and for me that's good because I'm not a big Miles Hardin fan.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that he needs to be on the field.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he's a liability on the defensive side of the ball.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm much more interested to see what guys like Toria on a pride and know a big nogany.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying guys.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really am.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping to see what these guys can do for the Browns this year because we're going to need them.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to need these guys to play.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: So those were the big moves a couple other things the other day.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: Additions to the practice squad the first one.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: We added a tight end.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know anything about this guy.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not even going to pretend like I do his name is Messiah Swinson.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think I have his Wikipedia pulled up here.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: I can.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, if I could find my mouse, I've got three screens up.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: And my mouse likes to hide between them.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see, Messiah, Swenson looks like he was a duty, UDFA in 2024 signed on with the Green Bay Packers.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then he played for the Panthers for a minute, went back to the Packers, 49ers, Cardinals, Packers for a third time, and we just added him yesterday
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a nothing burger.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: I hate to, it's just as what it is.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you're ever gonna hear about M's size once and I don't think he'll ever be elevated to the actor for, I don't even know how long he stays on the practice squad to be honest with you guys.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Browns have to continue rotating things around with that tight end position.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Since we don't know what's going on with Joe Royer and we have really no other options behind hero fan and junior that we feel confident about.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: The other guy, who I do want to spend some time on, that we added to the practice squad, very interesting move, and I really like this one.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, Josh, you're really gonna get excited about the Browns adding somebody to the practice squad.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, because it was running back Jillian McLaughlin from the Broncos.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a guy who trying to think, he's small five foot seven, buck 87, something like that.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's a smaller running back.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he was a UDFA in 2023 after playing, I mean, in Northeastern Ohio, like if you guys, if you guys know the name Jelena Gloflon won, it's probably from playing fancy football, honestly, but he played at Notre Dame College in Ohio and then he finished out at Youngstown State.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: In NCWA, like all division, not like division one, but just in college football period, Jolil McLaughlin is the all-time leading russia with like, I was at 8,166 total career rushing yards in college.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Went undrafted in 2023 signed on with the Broncos as a UDFA, immediately had a role in their offense.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good player, and I want to just just take a quick look at him for a sec.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, Denver, 2023 is a rookie played all 17 games.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: He only carried the ball 76 times, but he put up 410 yards just one touchdown, but that was good for 5.4 yards per carry.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then the next season, 2024, they up to his workload, 113 carries 496 yards, just one touchdown.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a big touchdown score, but this guy, if you've watched any Denver Broncos football in the past, I mean, we played him.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: We played against Jelium McLaughlin.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go back and look at that box score here in a second if I remember.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he is fast, he is shifty.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, he plays bigger than he is.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: I like Joliam McLaughlin a lot.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: And for me, because the Browns decide to keep three running backs and Raheem Sanders is the direct backup.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: For Quinn Sean Juggins, your big body early down back, your thumper, your bruiser, your guy who's going to pick up those tough yards, Dylan Samson, from what I've been reading and listening to, the Browns have a dedicated role plan.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: for Dylan Samson and it's not to be Quinshawn Judkins back up.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's a specific role in the offense for Dylan Samson.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be that receiving third down back.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be get him out in the slot, put him in motion.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're going to see both running back on the field from time to time.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think Dylan Samson, he'll be listed as RB2 in the depth chart, but he's got his own specific role.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: and adding Jolio McLaughlin to the roster is kind of like, okay, now we've got the backup in case anything were to happen to Dylan Samson because not only was this guy very effective on the ground, which we know Dylan Samson can be SEC player, or the Earth into player the year two years ago.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: Receiving wise, Jaluma Gloughlin in three years in Denver, 69 targets caught 59 passes, 263 yards and scored four touchdowns through the air.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, and this is a guy, and again, not playing full-time role or anything like that.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: He can contribute to your offense.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, where the Browns remember this, it's a long season.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: I know there's only 17 games, but it's a long season for those 17 games.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of entries, remember by the time, we got to the end of the season last year.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: are running back for rocket standards and travy on Williams.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: You guys remember this like that that was our running back room.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: Those were the guys contributing.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: So it wouldn't be shocking if Jillian McLaughlin ends up getting elevated to the active rosters.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm point this season.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel much more confident having him be that next guy to come up and and play snaps for our offense than I do a guy like Tray Beyond Boy.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not not that he wasn't okay, but I really liked Jillian McLaughlin.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: So yes,
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: I am getting a little hot and bothered by a guy they added to the practice squad, but it's because I like this player and I think he's a good player.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, to Lium McLaughlin to the practice squad, they get some running back insurance there.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's all the moves that I wanted to talk about here for the Browns over the last couple of days and take quick break, come back, voice mail time.

- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: Couple other funny things here real quick before I hear from you guys.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: So like we got some number changes.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: Malachi Corley has changes number from 83 to 11.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then rocket standards not only did he beat out of money.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Marshall for the RB3 spot.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: Then he took his number.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: Mon Era rocket Sanders will now be in set of 35.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: He will now be number 23.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: Derek Barnett switched to 97.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: I believe.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think those are the important ones I want to talk about.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: One other thing that I thought was really funny the other day.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know I've got mixed response on this on social media and on a sad people say.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: Some people agree with me, some people say I'm stupid for even talked about I really don't care.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was funny.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Todd Monk and press conference yesterday was asked.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: by, I think, might have been Daniel O'Fusie ask him, have you watched any of the previous tape from Deshawn Watson's 19 starts with the Browns over the three years?
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Have you watched any of that tape to see maybe why his efficiency in the deep gate?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like throwing down field, why he's not been as good basically, Daniel was much more elegant than that.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: But basically, why does Deshawn Watson suck throwing down field coach?
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: Have you watched any tape?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: to figure out why he blows when he goes down field.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: And Todd Munkin said, nope.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha, nope.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't watched any tape.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: He said, no, to be honest, I haven't really looked at it.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm obviously just speculating for a minute.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: But it really feels like when you just sit here and you look back at everything that's transpired.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it just feels like, remember the coaching search?
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Remember how we had the coaching, head coaching tracker on social media and we had like three or four pages of coaching candidates that we've been meeting with and talking to and all these guys and it's like, wow, they're meeting with a crap ton of people.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then at one point in the process, it was like, oh, with Drew name, oh, with Drew name, with Drew name, with Drew name and everybody's bowing out of the contest and it's like, okay.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's going on here.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we've seen how this has played out.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns had to, like, I'm sure the head coaches were told during their interview process.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna have to start to shine lots of it.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of a stipulation here of higher, you've got to start this guy.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: At least to open the season, we're starting to shine Watson.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Mike McDaniel's like, ah, I withdraw my name.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go be an OC somewhere before I attach my wagon to that guy for what's probably my final shot at a head coaching gig.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, not going with the shine Watson.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, you didn't ski in Sheo House and these guys withdraw their names and everything.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: So this is my guess, but I think it's pretty obvious that this is where everything was heading the whole time, anyhow.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: And so I feel like Todd Monkin, probably desperate to get that head coaching opportunity before he gets, it's probably the only one he's ever going to get.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, so he knows he's got to start to show on Watson and the whole idea and I don't believe him for one second.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: I know that I like to put stuff out there sometimes like, I just want to gauge what people think without trying to give my opinion too much sometimes, but I don't believe Todd Monk and has not watched any to show on Watson tape.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see how that's possible.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: But he did say, like, you know, I like to go into it believing that every single one of the players on my team is elite, okay, well, we know that's not true.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: That that can never be possible, whatever.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then he said, I didn't, well, I'm not watching the tape.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: That was a different staff, different system, okay.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't make any sense.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I don't believe him for one second.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: But like, you've got this quarterback that you just named the starting fricking quarterback.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: He was in the quarterback competition all year to this point.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: To be the starter for your team for your first and probably only shot at a head coaching gig.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: He has sucked the last three years that he's actually been on a football field in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: And you're telling me, you haven't spent any time watching any tape to try to figure out why he struggled and what you could maybe do to help him succeed?
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: Boy, I call baloney on this.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way Todd Munkin has watched no tape.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: So, I just thought it was funny and I wanted to bring it up and see what you guys think about it.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: But, come on, Todd.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, if you ask me, this is a hand that Todd Munkin was dealt, not a decision that he himself made.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: He knew he had to start the Sean Watson and I know a lot of people, like the car brothers, David and Derek Car have a podcast and there was a clip out there and David Car is saying two games.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Book it right now to Sean Watson is benched after the first two games that home opener and Cleveland will be should or Sanders.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be at that home opener just so you guys know and I told Justin because I'm going with Justin and I told him the other day, I'm ready.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm already planning I'm going to be booing to Sean Watson when I'm in the stadium because I know he's going to start.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think to Sean Watson it's a four game minimum.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: leash.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's going to be probably four to six before they make any kind of switch or even really considered making a switch.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to, they're going to make us suffer through this guy.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: So basically what I'm telling you, and I'm trying to prepare you for it.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: So this whole two game thing.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know I've said that before two when it first came out and I was like, oh man, too.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I was a little bit more emotional about the whole situation.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: Then now I'm looking
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: it's going to be longer.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: It is going to be longer.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's probably closer 4 to 6.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: So be prepared and you know if it's own to those first two games and he looks pretty bad comes back week three against the Panthers and looks bad again and crowd booze him and falls apart.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're still going to roll him out there on the short week.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: for Thursday night football in Cleveland under the lights on national TV against the Steelers.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that if I had to predict, I would say that's where probably all falls apart.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see how things go.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they surprised this.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he comes out and he plays well.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe it's going to happen, but
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: I also don't feel like watching crappy football for the first four weeks or whatever.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: So please, just maybe Tom Munkin knows what he's doing.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: With this.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he's been told what he's doing with this and that's why his best response is probably like, no, I'm not even watching that tape.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm gonna look at it because he has looked at it.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he saw what we saw.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen it.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: We had to watch it live.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't even good, but.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right, that's enough about that.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to our first voice note here today.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: This one is from Adam.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_06]: Hey guys, Adam down here in El Paso.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_06]: I'm left a couple of voicemails that I haven't heard on the show, but I know you guys are sifting through a lot of stuff.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_06]: So I want to send this in hopefully, you guys get it in time, but interesting news today as Joe Milton is released by Dallas, and I recall that name being a prominent name
- 41:08[SPEAKER_06]: was discussed in relation to Cleveland for a little while, you know, last year, rocket cannon of an arm played phenomenal this preseason for Dallas, and ultimately they got a deck press got, and they elected to choose a quarterback with more experience to be that person's backup.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_06]: So,
- 41:34[SPEAKER_06]: You know, when I'm sitting here and you've got Dylan Gabriel on IR, you've got a six round draft pick as your QB3.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_06]: I think if I had the choice between a six round draft pick, that's really good at running, not good at throwing.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_06]: And then...
- 41:53[SPEAKER_06]: a guy who's been in the league for a couple years that has a cannon arm, I think I'm probably going that route and choosing that individual quarterbacks throw.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know man, I just want to know your guys' thoughts, what's your interest on Joe Millen?
- 42:07[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think the Brown should go get them and cut ties with Dylan Gabriel or our draft pick?
- 42:12[SPEAKER_06]: Let me know.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Adam, I know I apologize, man.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: I've gotten the last few voicemails you've sent in.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: The problem sometimes, if you guys leave a voicemail and it doesn't get played on a show, it's probably because whatever you said in that voicemail, whatever you were talking about is just no longer relevant.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, like,
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't a radio show, so I don't do, you know, we don't do episode every single day.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like a, hey, we go from 10 to noon every day, you know, five days a week or whatever.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like a two or three episodes a week type show and there's just sometimes you call, not just you, Adam, I just mean people in general, you call in, you leave a voice mail about something.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: And the next episode is like in two days and by the time we get to the episode recording, whatever you talked about has already been decided or it's no longer relevant.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, there's just no point going back and playing it.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel bad about that, but that's just kind of the way things roll sometimes doing like a news based type of podcast and that's what sports is it's a lot of news it's moving parts all the time, but this one is pertinent right now Adam and I do need to double check so Joe Milton we kind of mean Kenny so when our first attempt at the episode the other night we we didn't record it but we had a very long conversation about Joe Milton and then on the one we actually did record.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: we tacked on a brief conversation about it at the end.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny is like absolutely no 100% out on Joe Milton.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: His take on that was, you know, we've already got four probably mid quarterbacks on the team.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: Why would we cut one of those mid quarterbacks just to add another mid quarterback?
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I get that argument, I do, but I get what you're saying to Adam, and I'm more on your side, I think than what I am with Kenny, the talent of Joe Milton has always intrigued me.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now I haven't been one of those fans on social media just pounding the table and clamoring and like, got to get Joe Milton, go trade for him.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to be our starter, but I've always liked the potential.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're going, I'm with you on this.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: I do like Joe Milton and I like him better than Taylor and Greene for the reasons you list out of my due because while I like Taylor and Greene.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a good kid and I think that he has a potential future in the NFL but
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I'm going to stick to my guns with what I said ever since the draft, and I no tailing green is adamant.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a quarterback.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a quarterback.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: He said it after the preseason game last week, and I'm a quarterback, people have tried to change me before.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not doing it.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, dude, young man, you kind of aren't good at quarterback.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: I,
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: kind of his way it is.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you don't throw very well.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: You've got this weird, elongated throwing motion.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: It will never work in the NFL.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: It will never, ever work.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: You talked about in a press conference the other day.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: He said, one thing I've been working on.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to work on my work or my throwing mechanics.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you need to kid.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're very good.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: They are not good.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: And he is, he's athletic this hell.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, phenomenal athlete.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: But so Joe Milton and to your point,
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: And at the quarterback position, yes, athleticism, mobility, running the ball, that's all fine and dandy.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: Those are fun, good, nice bonuses to have, but as a quarterback, you got to be a throw the ball.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Mohn can frickin' throw the ball.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a good throwing motion.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a, like you said, a rocket arm, his deep ball unbelievable.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Unbelievable.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there's obviously a lot of other things that he doesn't do well because he just lost the backup
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: battle in Dallas to Sam Howell had to think about it for a second.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Sam Howell just won the backup job there in Dallas.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: So Joe Moon couldn't win the backup job and he got cut by Dallas.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now the last I saw Joe Milton has cleared waivers.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody claimed him.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: Not the jets, not the cardinals, not the browns, not the dolphins, not any of these teams that have been like,
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: And Dallas wants to put him back on their practice squad.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen whether or not he's, he's made it back to the practice squad or if he signed anywhere, but maybe by the time you guys hear this, you'll, there'd be an answer to that.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: So clearly, the NFL is not that high on Joe Milton.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Or else he would have been claimed or something.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm with you, Adam.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: I do think
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess now I got to go to like toward Kenny side of the argument is, if you were to cut tail and green, maybe get him onto the practice squad and put Joe Milton on or whatever, are you really just swapping four quarters for a dollar?
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: At this point, probably, neither one of them are ever going to be your starting quarter back.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to be the answer for your franchise.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: So at the end of the day, it's probably a lot to do about nothing.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: about mid back up quarterbacks.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: But sadly, in Cleveland where you do not have a set it and forget it starter, those are the conversations we have all the time.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: Adam, good to hear from you, man.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Looking forward to playing fancy football with you this season.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: Tell Cooper that if he wants to run one of his own teams, I might have a spot for him.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: So you let me know.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: You let me know either in the discord or the patreon.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: But let's move over here to our next voicemail.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see who's up next.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: This one is from Geocombo.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_05]: Hello to all the Duck Scott customers and Cleveland Browns fans.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_05]: My name is Jaco and I follow you from beautiful Tuscany.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_05]: And here is my brief introduction.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_05]: I started following the NFL in 2004, initially leaning towards Tampavi, but down Tom Brady, still the spotlight.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_05]: and I followed him closely.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_05]: His departure left me feeling a bit lost.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_05]: It turned out that I was more of a fan of the individual player that the team himself, the New England Patriots.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_05]: So my passion went out for a while, but hammered him back in 2024, and that was the Cleveland Browns.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_05]: A team I've actually always had the soft spot for.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_05]: which in front of their parents' assistant, the Browns, was a shock, but thanks to your channel, I've been able to understand the ins and outs of the players and the team.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_05]: Leading me to full deeply in love with them.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_05]: I hope I haven't voted you with this audio.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_05]: And all that's left is to send you a backup, a backup from Italy, and go browns from the F of Tuscany.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_05]: Bye.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, awesome voice, Mill, thank you.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe what did you say, Jaco?
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: I, and I've said this before.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: I had a, I forget who it was.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: There was a caller a few months ago.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: I am so bad with pronouncing names and things like that, accents kill me, I just don't have the ear for it, I don't know, it is what it is.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: But that was an awesome voice, Mel, thank you.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's awesome to hear how you became a brown fan after being a New England Patriots fan for all those years.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: Me, you got to experience winning after winning after Super Bowl and all this stuff.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I understand being a fan of the player, a guy like Tom Brady, and not necessarily being a big fan of the team itself.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, pick in the browns.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's a bold move.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_01]: That is a bold move, but we appreciate having you here and shout out to Italy.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for calling in so cool to hear from listeners from across the world.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: See, I'm telling you guys.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: And this is like the dog pack.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: I joined the dogs.com.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just people from, you know, Cleveland or Northeastern Ohio.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's people from all over the country.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: and people from all over the world have joined our dog pack so, you know, if you're in Italy, and you're like, I wonder if there's any other Browns fans out here.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can get into the dog pack and check and see, are there anybody from my country or from near me, you know, maybe you're from California or wherever and you're like, is there anybody out there coming to the dog pack and see if you can figure it out?
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you for that voice mail.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: That was awesome.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing into the house.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're trading against other real world people.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs in Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just sports either.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: It works like this.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: Simple yes or no markets, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: So if you trust your takes and instincts and I know you guys do, go check out how

- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: This is Mr. Andrew Jackson.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_02]: We're going on guys to change the Jackson here for some, welcome, but why is everyone so upset about Todd Monk and not watching Sean Watson's previous game tape with the Browns?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's been like two, three years like.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, he's not going to want you.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you?
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for good or bad, the man in front of you is a different version than what you saw on the field than anyway.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm pretty sure he didn't want you to do his game table from Jackson State either from that time.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I mean, you ain't get all of my arms about that.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: I just think it's the most ridiculous, out-of-blown thing that could happen.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you worry about something you exit good or bad the man's changed?
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm pretty positive Todd Munkin didn't watch Bart star game tape this week either, but we should probably make that a story Also, I mean, you know what I mean?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just be dumb about everything coming
- 53:39[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, before I get off here, I just want to let you guys know guys are a great job.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you Also, for my boy tail and green.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's collusion that he's been he dropped so far in draft He's in the thing get no first team reps during a train camp and also I can't believe Blake hates shit or so much.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean that's uncalled for almost all right, buddy Okay
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, Andrew, I love you, man.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're in the dog pack, you know Andrew, and if you're not, you want to trust me, get in there, meet him, meet everybody in there.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: He does not like shit or Sanders, obviously, and I already talked about the, the Todd Monk and not watching Game Tape of Bart Star would be a stretch.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, you know, I wouldn't expect Todd Monk into watch tape of him concerning he's not the guy that just got named this starting quarterback for our team.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: Just to reiterate, Sean Watson is the starter for our team.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I guarantee you Todd Munkin has watched the tape on the Sean Watson, just like he might not have watched the Jackson State tape on a Shador buddy damn sure watched last year's tape on Shador in the NFL with the Browns.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's watched Dylan Gabriel's tape.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's watched Jared versus tape, I like,
- 55:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me that because a player didn't play for you previously, that you're not going to watch tape on him before you sign him, draft him, make him your starter, come on, of course they're watching tape on all these guys, all the time.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, I just think it was, you know, I've already talked about a wide reiterate.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: to butt.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: Andrew, thank you for the voice mail.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: Always good to hear from you.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait to go back and forth as the season goes on, man.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it's starting in what 11 days.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: Something like that.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not this coming.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is Labor Day.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: We can come up.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: But next Sunday, season kicks off.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: I got two more voice mails.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think a message.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe two.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure from the website.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: But the first one is from Dalton.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_07]: What's going on guys?
- 55:52[SPEAKER_07]: I hope you're all doing well.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_07]: It's Dalton from Northwest Ohio.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_07]: I just wanted to call and give my thoughts on that last preseason game.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_07]: I wasn't able to watch it unfortunately.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_07]: I was at work.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_07]: But I got home and I watched the highlight clip on YouTube, the NFL, it posted and tail and green.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_07]: As the thing that points out to me first and foremost, that dude is a unit and he moves fast as hell.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_07]: I would be scared to be on the opposite end of the ball.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_07]: of tail and green.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_07]: If we can find a way for him to stay on the team, I'll be at practice squad or anything, man.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_07]: If he can be on the team, I'd be happy.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_07]: That is some raw talent right there.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_07]: Dilling Gabriel, not a shocker.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_07]: I'm so happy that he came out and balled out the way that he did.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_07]: All the accusations of being a system QB are being too short.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_07]: I guess he is a little too short for your average quarterback, but the play, you know, third string defense doesn't matter.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_07]: Those are NFL caliber players, and he balled out.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_07]: I'm very happy for Gabriel, whether he's on a team in the future or not good for him.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_07]: I'm glad overall we were able to just get a win and talk about good stuff this week, good stuff, no dision, no shit door, no that bull crap.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_07]: I'm a fan of shit door.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_07]: I just, I am so fed up and tired of this shit man.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_07]: I hope we can get it straight now midway through the season.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's my thoughts.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_07]: Go dogs, guys.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for the voice mail, Dalton.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I talked about this after the preseason game last week.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_01]: Be careful.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: Be careful how much stock you put into the final preseason game.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Dylan Gabriel played a great game.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: Great half.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: And tail and green played well in the second half.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I think you only completed two passes.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: The entire half.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's not a good
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very great athlete, but you need to just remember, and I've seen this on social media a lot here in the last week or so, look at all of the quarterbacks who had fantastic stat lines in their third preseason game last week, and you preseason week, three had a lot of really nice performances from quarterbacks.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_01]: lot of those guys don't even have a job right now.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm serious like Kyle McCord had a very good third preseason game.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: He ended up getting traded and so that's one move but there's a lot of guys who had really good preseason games in week three and then as soon as roster cut down day came they were waived and they made it through waivers and they're still sitting out there.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're not even
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, I get what you're saying about, you know, whether he's going to get 34 stringers that's still NFL talent, but I'm telling you, like just look at the Browns team as an example.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: The drop off of talent from your first and your top second string guys to your 34 stringers, that talent gap is enormous.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's enormous.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's huge.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's why most of these guys get waived, and most of the players that Dylan Gabriel is going against, you know, they're not going to play NFL
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it just is what it is and I'm not trying it again.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: I did this last week.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to disparage what Dylan Gabriel did.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to make sure we're realistic about it because we saw him go against actual first string talent last year in the NFL and it wasn't pretty, but
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: We do need to just really focus on the Sean Watson, because that's gonna be our starter to open the season and figure out what the Browns need to do to get some success out of him.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you watch the tape, Todd, that's why you watch the tape.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: All right, last voice, more from the day, you guys are gonna love this.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's our favorite villain, Vinti.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, it's Vinti, our friendly neighborhood villain.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_03]: So first thing, it sucks that the showman is starting.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: Weak one, but these conspiracy theories as to why he's starting are just insane.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: Munkin was very clear that Shidorah's process isn't fast enough.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's not able to get to his full offense.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't a vanilla call to play and run it to fanski offense anymore.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot more to it.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: He's got to call multiple plays in the huddle set what side we're running the ball to.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's got to call audible.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_03]: He's got to set protections.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's got to adjust routes.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_03]: And his process isn't up to snuff yet.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_03]: So we can't get to the full offense with Shidorah in the game.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_03]: Monk has been really clear about that.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_03]: So, I think Watson can start the first two games and then hopefully we see a decent quarterback by week three.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_03]: Second thing is people saying they're done with the grounds because of this, that's unbelievable.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_03]: I live through the drive, the fumble.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_03]: Kita Chex saying that Bernie had been finishing skills and getting rid of him, St. Modell, creating the shippers and getting rid of the Browns, drafting tin couch.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_03]: And I have to do another pointless quarterbacks.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: Never once did not become a Browns fan enter my mind.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there you go everybody.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_01]: So Vinti has always left messages that I've had to read on the show.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's the first time he's ever called in, Vinty, great to hear from you, man, to address your latter part of your voice mode there.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I said this in a short video too.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like, people that say, oh, they're starting to show on Watson that said, that's the final straw.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm done with the Browns.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm done being a Browns fan.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: To me, that's the same as when people will say, well, if this guy gets elected or that guy gets elected, I'm leaving the country shut up.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're not.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Just quit it.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're not leaving the Browns fan base either.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody who says that, no, you're not.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: Stop.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're still going to turn the game on.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: You're still going to,
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you got tickets, you're still going to go to the game, like, you're not leaving.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_01]: And why would you?
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_01]: Why should you?
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you're telling me, like, like, like, Vinty pointed out very clearly, there's been a lot of bad situations that have come up for the Browns over the decades.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is the one that's going to do it for you.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's a terrible decision in my opinion to start to Sean Watson.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hope it's a short term thing.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: Just deal with it.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: It sucks, but we'll get through it.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_01]: We've gotten through everything else.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get through this too.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then they go to Vinti's other point.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hear what you're saying, and I don't disagree that
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: to Sean Watson is probably better in terms of the pre-snap process just from being a veteran quarterback standpoint.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's got more experience in multiple different offensive systems.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_01]: And he's just he's played quarterback at the NFL level.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: A lot more over the years than Shador has.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a while, obviously, but he still has more experience.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with the Sean Watson is, and we've talked about this too,
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: You can be great before the snap.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's awesome.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: You need to be, but football is played after the snap.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it's after the snap that concerns me, with Deshawn Watson.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: But again, 11 days and we get to kick things off against the J.Y.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: or so we will see how that's going to look very soon.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_01]: It is coming.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you, Vente is good to hear from ya.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: And call back, call back.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I got a message, actually no, actually I don't.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I thought I did, yeah, okay, so scratch that, no messages.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_01]: But again, if you want to get a message on here, like Vinti used to do before he got brave, Vinti, I like that you got brave and called in, brother.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: You go to the docs.cast.com, you tap leave voicemail, the drop down menu, you go pop up, you can record your voicemail, you can listen to it back, if you don't like it, you can rerecord it, like you don't,
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: You can make it as good as you want to if you're if you're concerned with house sounds and if you don't like your voice being played or whatever You're not comfortable with it.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: There's a spot there's a text box.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: You just type your message Send it in and I read it on the show.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: So that's how that works Thank you guys for tuning in today There's gonna be more roster moves the Browns are gonna sign more people.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna wave more people.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna continue Reworking and twerk in the back end See what I did there of that roster for the Browns here ahead of week one to try to get it as good as possible
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: to kick off the season, let me know your thoughts in the comments, anything about roster cut-down day, players that we cut, players that we didn't cut, players that were cut by other teams that you think we should go after and Joe Milton and whatever, like just drop your thoughts, your opinions, your questions, everything in the comments, I love reading through them, I'll get back to as many of them as I have time to do.
