- 0:34Welcome into the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, joined by Trey Trenholme and making
- 0:41his first appearance in the Treehouse podcast. He's been on the radio show probably
- 0:49more times than he would like to have been because some of those times weren't
- 0:52exactly with consent. Billy the Kid formerly of one oh six point one Kiss
- 0:59FIM. If if there's been a void in your afternoon not hearing not hearing
- 1:04him in screen kiss FM at you on your drive home, that's because Billy
- 1:08don't work there no more. But but he has decided to fill a different
- 1:15void in radio. Congratulations on the new show man. Thank you man,
- 1:21I appreciate it. Thanks for having me on. I get excited when I
- 1:23hear that intro music, so do we and it I know you've been a
- 1:27You've been a fan favorite for a very long time. Again, not always
- 1:32with your consent, but it's always it's always for the punchline and always to
- 1:36make the listeners happy. And the only the only downside to you doing doing
- 1:42mornings now is I'm not there to drive around in the morning and actually hear
- 1:47a good morning show in DFW. I know, man, well, you
- 1:51know what I wish you were, but you can always do. iHeartRadio whatever.
- 1:53Where's the plug there? It is the company? Oh no, I
- 1:59promise you're blug. It's just it's just the only way you're gonna be able
- 2:01to listen, and I want you to. So that's it, I promise.
- 2:06So for those that don't know, Billy the Kid is the new morning
- 2:10man on is it? Do they switch it back to mix one out two
- 2:15nine, Yes, even though in people's hearts and minds it never stopped being
- 2:19mixed one O two nine. And that's kind of what happened. I was
- 2:22like, this is mix right, Well, no, but it's should be.
- 2:25Yeah, Well then why don't we just call it mix? Right?
- 2:28Like, yeah, that's what everyone calls it anyway. I felt like it
- 2:30mixes is like star flex. You can change the name, Oh you want,
- 2:34everyone still calls it star Flux exactly. It's not. Yeah, it
- 2:37could be a million things, but I feel like everybody knows it is that,
- 2:39So why fight it? Yeah, at a certain point you stopped fighting
- 2:43just kind of lean into it. So I'm glad they're doing that, and
- 2:45I'm glad that I'm glad they're doing that with you. That's been something that's
- 2:47been a long time coming for you, and that is doing mornings in Dallas,
- 2:52because you had a morning show in Austin for a while that was doing
- 2:54really well and and something bonehead had happened, and then you weren't doing mornings
- 2:59and Austin anymore. But now you're doing mornings in Dallas, so hey,
- 3:01step up. Yeah. No, Austin was great, and I mean I
- 3:05had a good time doing that, but this is always obviously Dallas has been,
- 3:07you know, my dream. It's been my dream to do morning.
- 3:09It's not always, believe it or not. I never wanted to back of
- 3:12the day, I didn't care to do mornings. But then no, you
- 3:15bet you do this for a while and you're like, Okay, this is
- 3:17where I'm gonna have the most personality, you know, the most fun.
- 3:21You got to be able to do that kind of stuff. Unless I'm just
- 3:23doing the treehouse stuff. That's always fun. Usually you have my consent.
- 3:30Yeah, I know that one time we sent the little person in there to
- 3:31attack you wasn't exactly your favorite day. Oh no, no, that was
- 3:36not well. Multiple times, I mean, shooting me with babies, shooting
- 3:39me with fireworks in a studio, very flammable stuff. Setting things on fire
- 3:45during afternoon drive at Kiss FM always a good time. Actually, yeah,
- 3:49Billy, you say studios, because we've put you up on hitting multiple locations,
- 3:55going back, going back to the one under point three days and John
- 4:00Carpenter. That was the craziest of all the time. I mean nothing was
- 4:03wild more wild than John Carpenter because that building was a dump, so you
- 4:06could do pretty much anything, and you guys did pretty much everything you wanted
- 4:11to. Anyways, over there, I think you rearranged the building multiple times
- 4:13without anybody's consent. It construction, built walls, built a gym, whatever,
- 4:17you know. It was like pure chaos. But oh my gosh,
- 4:21that place. You guys would literally just blow things up in the studio while
- 4:26I was on the air. I'm I cannot believe I still have all my
- 4:29toes and fingers after all that. Yeah, and honestly I am too.
- 4:31I'm surprised. I've got you know, I've got all ten fingers, all
- 4:35ten toes, I've got built testicles, thank god. And there were some
- 4:39moments where I wasn't sure. Oh yeah, oh me too, especially after
- 4:43dealing with you guys. So I know that doing mornings is, like you
- 4:48said, has been sort of a dream for a while. Is because if
- 4:53we're being honest, if we're in this business, it's kind of ego driven.
- 4:58We're not ego the three of us, we're not egomaniacal, but we
- 5:02do have egos. We're all confident in our abilities to do certain things,
- 5:09and you want to And what it kind of boils down to is you want
- 5:12to eventually, you want to have that new challenge, that next challenge,
- 5:15because you know, we were number one in afternoons and you've been number one
- 5:19in afternoons. Sometimes we were split. Sometimes you beat us, sometimes we
- 5:24beat you. You were always really popular among teenagers, so we couldn't compete
- 5:27with that. But you know, we we had the you know, we
- 5:30had the older crowd. But at a certain point, you want that new
- 5:34challenge and the creative freedom, and now you're going to have that, and
- 5:39we wish nothing but the best for you. And the fact that the show
- 5:42actually starts now. Yeah, yeah, so it's on now, and yeah,
- 5:46I'm excited. Thank you, I appreciate it. You're right, I
- 5:48mean, there's a little bit ego involved in everything. You want to be
- 5:51able to do your own thing, your own show, not in a bad
- 5:54way, but in a confident way. And I've want to do this for
- 5:58a long time and do it the way I've won to do it, and
- 6:00I finally feel like it's happening. So I'm excited for it. I mean,
- 6:03you know, mornings has always been a dream of mine to be in
- 6:06Dallas doing it, So it's gonna be it's gonna be a fun time.
- 6:10And having done morning radio ourselves, Trey and I know what a beating it
- 6:14can be. Although Trey might be able to navigate it now better than we
- 6:17when we did it before because he's sober. That makes waking up a little
- 6:21bit easier. It does, it really does. It makes waking up and
- 6:27probably getting through the first hour of the show tremendously easier. Yeah. Oh,
- 6:30I can't imagine doing that, like oh, drinking, I mean,
- 6:33doing mornings alone is tough, much less if you're coming off of ender.
- 6:40Oh yeah, yeah. So the one thing I do always think about when
- 6:44it comes to doing morning radio is when that alarm goes off and having to
- 6:47wake up. But I also think it's well, that's kind of a sucky
- 6:51situation. Things could be worse. You know you you you could be at
- 6:58the bottom of the Atlantic sixteen hundred meters away from the Titanic. Yeah.
- 7:02No, that's definitely a worst situation, I would say. I mean,
- 7:05they're close, but it's no yet. No, dude, I'm telling you
- 7:10that situation right there. I just watched a video on that of what they
- 7:14think happened, a simulation, like an animation of what that submersible did.
- 7:18Oh, I have not seen this. It was the most terrifying thing I've
- 7:23ever seen in my life. Let me find it and I'll show it to
- 7:25you where you can go see it on Instagram. But it was somebody created
- 7:28like a quick video of what they think the implosion would have been like.
- 7:31Was it just like a can crumbling and then it exploded? Basically, it's
- 7:35straight up the front and back of this this submersible just instantly faster than you
- 7:42can ever imagine. Once it's depressurized, it just smashes like a can and
- 7:46then just poomp gone. Everything they say in it just I mean immediately turns
- 7:53to ashes. I had done a fair amount of research over the last couple
- 7:58of days, I think, along with everybody else in the world, trying
- 8:01to figure out and learn more about this submersible. But I was trying to
- 8:07remember back in science classes in school, what happens, you know, if
- 8:13you d pressure eyes at the bottom of the ocean, and what happens to
- 8:16your body, what happens to whatever vessel you're in, And it really is
- 8:20stuff of nightmares. So I'm really curious to see that video that you've got.
- 8:24But they did say a breach of the hull at depth would mean instant
- 8:31death from heavy pressure in the deep ocean. The Titanic wreck is roughly what
- 8:39is it, a thirteen thousand feet or twelve thousand, five hundred feet below
- 8:43sea level. The water pressure below the surface at the side of the Titanic
- 8:48wreck is roughly four hundred atmospheres or six thousand psi. So four hundred atmospheres
- 8:54is basically one atmosphere is when you're at sea level. It's your normal weight,
- 9:01right, and then four hundred atmospheres is going to be like four hundred
- 9:03of you on top of you. Oh yeah, when when you start talking
- 9:09about like the depths they go they're going to when you're going to depths that
- 9:16the US Navy and they're big nuclear powered submarines, really don't go to well,
- 9:22what the hell I mean? You know, I'm sure the Titanic didn't
- 9:26think it was gonna claim five more lives one hundred and eleven years later,
- 9:28but Jesus, Yeah, but here we are. Yeah, here we are.
- 9:33And then here's the thing that absolutely and part of it plays into my
- 9:37claustrophobia. But you know, listening, I've heard some fascinating people interviewed,
- 9:46one of whom was booked on this trip and then backed out because of safety
- 9:50concerns. What yeah, old on. I'll get to that in a second.
- 9:52But the thing that wigged me out more than anything else is the whole
- 9:56deal of they didn't have an escape at they were bolted in. So there
- 10:03was one guy who said they could literally be bobbing on the surface and they'll
- 10:09die running out of air because they can't get out and no one can find
- 10:11them. I'm not sure. I'm not sure which would be worse that scenario
- 10:18that you just described, tray, where you're bobbing in the ocean but you
- 10:22can't get out and you die from asphyxiation because you've run out of air,
- 10:26or dying on you know, due to depressurization. One is very quick and
- 10:31very disgusting and messy. And they say you wouldn't feel anything because it would
- 10:37be so instant versus the long, drawn out and not being able to breathe.
- 10:43I guess you'd go for the instant death, but many a really weird
- 10:46flash in front of your face. I mean, maybe the instant. Yeah,
- 10:50I'll take the instant because although they you said it'd be a peaceful death
- 10:54because basically because there's no scrubbers on those subs, so you're basically going to
- 10:58pass out from too much carbon dioxide and and then eventually just asphyxiate. So
- 11:05I'll for me just the having to think about that, you know, for
- 11:09seventy two hours before it happen. Yeah, but they say, though,
- 11:13this is something crazy too. I was watching this interview with James Cameron,
- 11:18who you know, the director of Titanic and one on who's been down there
- 11:20multiple times, and he said that what they probably experienced. First of all,
- 11:26he said he knew Monday that there was no way that anybody survived.
- 11:28He's like, I already knew before anybody that there was no way this thing
- 11:31was ever going to come back. And he said the search and rescue was
- 11:35just a charade. Like why they were even doing it is beyond him,
- 11:37because they knew. These submersibles are also attached with autonomous cracker. It is
- 11:46pressurized on its own, so like you have the tracking system on the submersible.
- 11:50Once that loses communication, you're like, okay, there's a problem if
- 11:54you lose the other submersible that has no I mean, it's basically just doing
- 11:58its own thing. Even if all goes wrong with submersible, there's another little
- 12:03one that's attached. He said that one was destroyed, so once he saw
- 12:07both of them done, it was pretty much over. I mean, without
- 12:11a doubt. But this, I mean James Cameron's like, this thing was
- 12:13so unsafe from the very get go. Everybody knew it was a major,
- 12:18a major safety hazard. How do you how do you go down there and
- 12:22take people take their money? If there's no regulation? We are you kidding
- 12:28me? I have to have boat registration to go on Lake Louisville. You
- 12:31need to tell me you could take this ukles saber looking thing down to the
- 12:35depths of the ocean without anybody being like, hey, you're good, go
- 12:39ahead. Oh and they didn't even test Like the guy I heard an interview
- 12:45with who is one of these He was evidently friends with the Hamish guy,
- 12:50which, by the way, is there a more Scottish name than Hamish?
- 12:54And you know, he said, and he had put a ten thousand dollars
- 12:58deposit down and you know these guys that have been to Antarctic, and like
- 13:03his whole deal was, and I didn't even know about this, is that
- 13:05you know, he wanted there's five or seven poles. I guess there's a
- 13:11pole on each constant continent and he trying to get to all the poles,
- 13:16which is I guess the point on each continent that your farthest away from the
- 13:20ocean and whatever. But anyway, they're all dangerous. And he said that
- 13:26a that they were using like standard construction piping for the ballast on this sub
- 13:33and used used construction piping, right, no, no Billy gets pre owned
- 13:41gently used And the thing this guy said that more than anything that and I
- 13:50guess it's one of those things that working for us. There was one thing
- 13:56of all, you know, he was always big on, which is redundancy.
- 13:58Because everyone is making a big deal about how basically the sub was controlled
- 14:01by like a PS three controller and he said, that's not the big deal.
- 14:05He said, The big deal is there was no redundant backup. He
- 14:09goes, if you're gonna have one controller, as you know, then you
- 14:11should have a secondary as the prime. If you need two controllers, you
- 14:15should have four. It's like they just had one because they didn't test this
- 14:18thing. You know, typically, you know, you would test it at
- 14:22certain depths it would pass. And he said, but yeah, basically they
- 14:26just said no, it's fine. Now obviously the CEO thought it was fine
- 14:28because he was down there. But God with you, because that guy's an
- 14:33idiot. That who I'm sorry he should be. Yeah, he's the reason
- 14:37to blame. I know he's dead, but he's the one to blame for
- 14:39all this, this idiot who took everybody down there. And it's like,
- 14:43yeah, no, you're cool. It's the problem with rich people. Well,
- 14:46you want to check out every single poll on the planet for you want
- 14:48it. You're so bored with life because you have so much money, you
- 14:52can do everything that you're doing things like this, dude, you've a new
- 14:54hobby. I mean, there's some car you died. I apologize, I
- 14:58really feel, but no, no, no, here here, this guy
- 15:01heard interviewed, and you want to talk about the epitome of just rich thrill
- 15:05seekers the guy I heard interviewed. His claim one of his claims to fame
- 15:13is and I guess it was a record of some sorts, is that they
- 15:18had a black tie dinner party on the top of Everest. Wow. And
- 15:26you know what, and you know what? And I think this is another
- 15:28reason why that this whole story was so captivating for the entire world to sort
- 15:33of witness, is because it's also a great microcosm into rich people. Like
- 15:37you said, right there, Trey, there's uh and and you Billy,
- 15:41because like there's there's a there's a real thing called billionaire boredom and that to
- 15:46find different things, to find you know, excitement in their lives because they're
- 15:50just a bored EXA have all this money, they can do whatever they want,
- 15:52and then they do. They've done everything, so they have to create
- 15:54new things. But the other aspect is when you look at rich people is
- 15:58some of the richest people, you know what, are they also cheap?
- 16:03It's so true and this is and this is one of the best examples of
- 16:06it. You'll spend a bunch of money on some submersible, but it's not
- 16:11even new materials. You're getting the gently used stuff. And on top of
- 16:15that, you'll have one controller. Dude, I've got three PS four controllers
- 16:25in my living room and I am not a millionaire. I've also got four
- 16:29Super Nintendo controllers. I all of a sudden have been better shape to steer
- 16:33submersible than that submersible was. Bro. You see the controllers. The controllers
- 16:40weren't even the name brand ones. This was like a great value controller that
- 16:42you would get somewhere. I mean it was like on sale dollar general controller
- 16:47that didn't even look And then I watched an interview with the guy, the
- 16:49CEO, and he's like, yeah, I mean you know we yeah,
- 16:52we have these thirty dollars controllers, but they're made for sixteen year olds to
- 16:55throw around. And he chucked the thing across the submersible. I'm like,
- 16:57this is how you see that? In you? I'm not getting in some
- 17:00red bull can yeah and going down anywhere with you, you idiot. Just
- 17:04imagine, just imagine what the CEO anybody who's the CEO and a pilot.
- 17:10Have you ever seen American Airline ceo? Go? I'm also going to fly
- 17:12the plane. No, now you know that's a problem right away. This
- 17:15dude's a freaking mad scientist. The the other just imagine this. So there
- 17:21was a there was a journalist that did one of these trips years ago,
- 17:23and he had written about it, and he was on you know TV a
- 17:26lot this last week talking about this submersible and he said in the disclaimer that
- 17:33you have to fill out or you're you know, basically the legal paperwork before
- 17:37you can take the trip mentions death at least like five times on the first
- 17:44page. Now imagine you just went through that entire you know, packet,
- 17:48and you're signing literally your life away. And then you set foot inside the
- 17:53red bull can like you said, Billy, and you see the controller.
- 17:56Instead of it saying Xbox, it says why box you still? And then
- 18:03then they bring out you know, the duel to deadbolt you in from the
- 18:06outside. And you still want to do this, dude, I'm out.
- 18:11I'm out. This is the delusion of billionaires. They think it's just like
- 18:15buying like Louis Vatan you think, or you know, Gucci, you think
- 18:18if you pay enough then it's a superior product. So putting a high price
- 18:22tag on this of two hundred fifty thousand dollars for this venture. You automatically
- 18:26think this guy has to know what you're doing. He's doing obviously looking I
- 18:30mean, we're paying two hundred and fifty grand. Look at us. We're
- 18:32gonna be safe. That's the problem when you get so rich, you just
- 18:36think that the price dictates the safety and the experience. No, dude,
- 18:40even the other people who were going to go on this thing said that it's
- 18:42real weird. Once you, you know, wanted to ask questions about it
- 18:45or tour it, the guy the CEO and pilot wouldn't let you. You
- 18:49think, well, I want to see this death trap before I go down
- 18:52on it. Please thank you the sales pitch for these This whole deal,
- 18:57I mean obviously you know, appeals to if your abilionaire that you know the
- 19:02money you spend is actually it's not just thrill seeking, it's going to something
- 19:06good. Because the whole package of which they're selling these things is you're funding
- 19:11us to go down and do three D imaging of the Titanic so we can
- 19:15see what's you know, what we're losing faster and how the climate is affecting
- 19:19the disintegration of the Titanic or the other. That boat has been down there
- 19:23for one hundred and eleven years, and I guess everyone forgot that. It
- 19:26took seventy plus to find the damn thing. Yeah, and we've seen the
- 19:32movie. We know what it looks like. Yeah, how do I need
- 19:33to go down there? You would at least think, you know, pilots,
- 19:40race car drivers, you know, they have their game set up,
- 19:42and you know, at least you've got a fancy joystick, you know,
- 19:47like you know, thrust control, steering wheel, if your driver pedals.
- 19:51Yeah, at least think you'd have something good like that if you're gonna you
- 19:53know, for a million dollars a trip. No, just the knock on,
- 20:00oh yeah, just the great value. Why box controller, say some
- 20:04prayers and let's do it. I mean, can you imagine what the creepiest
- 20:08part about this is too is James Cameron was saying that, yeah, it
- 20:11was probably instant, but he said before it probably imploded the most likely and
- 20:18knew something was happening by hearing acoustic sounds of the hull it called delaminating facebook
- 20:26breaking down. That is terrifying. You're down there, you know, thirty
- 20:30five hundred feet and all of a sudden you hear some creeks. I don't
- 20:33want to hear anything, and I'm down. And did you see that punk
- 20:36ass little window they're all looking out of. If I'm paying two hundred and
- 20:38fifty thousand dollars and I got to share a window above the toilet, you
- 20:41should look out at the Titanic. What kind of stupid ass people would pay
- 20:48for this experience? Or I got to look at it on a screen?
- 20:49I could have done that from the damn ship above. Why would I pay
- 20:53to look at it on a computer screen. I'm honestly surprised, though,
- 20:56I'm honestly surprised that the thing had a toilet. I just I just assumed
- 21:00it was a I just assumed it was a you know, a home people
- 21:03bucket. It was it was a home. It was a bucket and a
- 21:07curtain, got some garden hoses. Wait, what are the garden noses for?
- 21:12I don't know. I think they're they're rich. They have to have
- 21:15it to day visitors online that treehouse on air dot com. Let's welcome into
- 21:33the treehouse now, Rodney Anderson, whose phone number you will need is nine
- 21:37seven two five fifty two hundred. The website with lots of great information all
- 21:41the time is, of course Rodney Anderson dot com. You know, Rodney,
- 21:44I know that you and I've worked together for many years. You've been
- 21:47in the industry for over forty years, and you have so many programs that
- 21:49are available for home buyers. But you know, I know people are wondering
- 21:53what's going to happen with interest rates. So for someone that's watching from the
- 21:56sidelines, what should they do, I say, jump in the market right
- 22:00now, and let me explain why the Federal Reserve has come out in the
- 22:03last week. Jerome Poal was testifying in the last week to Congress State and
- 22:07we're going to continue to raise interest rates. So it looks like they're going
- 22:11to raise in July, and it looks like they're going to raise at the
- 22:14next meeting down the road. So for anybody that's setting their going rates are
- 22:18going to come down, I don't see it anytime soon. But here's what
- 22:21I'll tell people. Dan. We all know who Barbara Corkoran is. She's
- 22:25on the Shark Tank right She said, all hell is going to break loose
- 22:30when interest rates come down over the next year or two down by two percent.
- 22:34She said, right now, people are worried about selling. They don't
- 22:37want to sell because they're at a low interest rate. They don't want to
- 22:41buy because interest rates are higher. She said, So when rates come down
- 22:44two percent, for example, from where they are now, the people that
- 22:48are going to sell their houses, they're going to sell because the interest rates
- 22:51aren't up as high. And she says, all these people that are in
- 22:53the market, they're going to come in there. And she says real estate
- 22:57values are going to go up twenty percent over the next couple of years.
- 23:02And so a lot of people are sitting there going should I buy right now?
- 23:04Should I wait for rates? But here's what I tell people, will
- 23:07marry the house and date the rate, meaning down the road in six after
- 23:11you made six payments. We can always read on ansher loan. And I
- 23:17do anticipate rates come down, but then it's going to be a while and
- 23:19we are going to see this. There's such a housing inventory shortage right now
- 23:23that we're going to see a problem, especially in the DFW Metroplux. So
- 23:27get pre approved up front, go out shopping because all hell is going to
- 23:32break loose when rates do come down. Yeah. I'm a big believer in
- 23:34setting yourself up for success, and this sounds to me like a good time
- 23:40for somebody to do that. You want to be set up for success,
- 23:42you need to call Rodney and his team. They can help you right now.

- 24:41Seriously, a free roof inspection, which is probably more than those guys
- 24:44in that submersible had before they went to the bottom of the ocean. Billy,
- 24:48what was it you were saying? Oh, by the way, you
- 24:49also have Billy the Kid in here. His new morning shows has started on
- 24:55Mix one O two nine. It had a different name for a little while.
- 24:59That was kind of weird, but and then they went back to what
- 25:00we all know and love. So be sure to check out the Billy the
- 25:03Kids Show mornings on Mix one out two nine. Congratulations. So what was
- 25:07it here saying that the ocean has phones? Yeah, I guess there's something
- 25:11called hydrophones, because I've been become oddly fascinated by this submersible. Well,
- 25:17they're all hydrophones when you lose them in the lake. Yeah, I guess.
- 25:19So, right, there's a ton of hydrophones of mine and louis part
- 25:22of um. But yeah, they're all over the ocean and they pick up
- 25:26sounds and so yeah, like you're sitting One of the navy guys said that,
- 25:30oh yeah, they heard a massive implosion, So they didn't Most of
- 25:33the experts knew a long time ago that this was a lost cause. The
- 25:37search and rescue, you know, because they heard a massive implosion or explosion
- 25:41whatever. I read that the Navy, Navy or no one knew that this
- 25:45thing, you know, imploded on Sunday, because yeah, they have all
- 25:48these hydrophones, a lot of it. It's for a tsunami warning detection,
- 25:52Okay, and so they can pick up you know, earthquakes and everything else
- 25:56under the water that might lead to a tsunami. But yeah, but I
- 26:00heard a Navy captain saying, yeah, he was. He was a former
- 26:06submarine captain, and he was as delicate as he could, but basically he
- 26:10said, no, they're dead, and they're dead. Can hold out hope,
- 26:14hold out hope for a miracle, but they're dead. Yeah. Some
- 26:18of the stuff that I've been reading about is uh really is the stuff of
- 26:22nightmares. And not just the tube itself, but the stuff that happens to
- 26:27you win this submersible, you know, lose this pressure and depressurizes. It's
- 26:33almost instant, and I think, uh, Billy, you were Tray said
- 26:37in the last segment, it's like you can hear there's like a little indicator
- 26:40of like I guess you hear it start to I don't know, crinkle a
- 26:45little bit the outside before it actually happens. Yeah, I forget what they
- 26:48call it, delaminate the hall was the balance or whatever they said, the
- 26:52weakest part of it started to creak most likely. And then that's how you
- 26:57knew there was a problem. First of all, you knew it was a
- 27:00problem many you got in that thing. That's as soon as you saw the
- 27:03controller and the home depot toilet. No. I mean that you're like,
- 27:06this is a problem, and I'm hearing any kind of creeks. You know,
- 27:08people have not been down there before, and there's always been issues.
- 27:11They've never had one thing one time where they went down there, it's been
- 27:15all good. There's always been problems. So the fact that people still go
- 27:19down there. There was one guy was reading that went down there years ago
- 27:23with the Russians, might have been the same guy Dan that you were speaking
- 27:26of, and all of a sudden they lost control because of a current and
- 27:30it they totally took them in the Titanic's prop all bounced off of it and
- 27:37almost never came up. Oh my god, Yeah, that's not reading about
- 27:41some of these just Titanic expeditions. And they dropped these submersibles and they said,
- 27:48you don't really know where you're gonna land. And they gave two examples,
- 27:51one that landed like eighteen hundred meters away and one nearly landed on top
- 27:59of the damn thing. Oh god. So I'm very morbid because I remember
- 28:03back in science, you know class, they say what would happen? Well,
- 28:07you know when you lose pressure, and it happens in an instant,
- 28:11And what I remembered was basically you implode, and so it's the opposite of
- 28:15explodes, So you just kind of just you just get sucked up into a
- 28:18tiny meatball instantly. And so I had to do a little bit of research
- 28:21because I was curious, Okay, this is that? Did I remember that
- 28:23properly? And I am. I freely admit it, Billy, I freely
- 28:30admit it. But I'm curious. By nature, So, once you reach
- 28:34a certain depth, your entire body will be subjected to pressure and transfer it
- 28:41to air volumes. So, um, this is at like a thousand meters
- 28:45down meeting, you have one hundred atmospheres of pressure on you. That's fourteen
- 28:49hundred pounds per square inch of your body. For a comparison, you're looking
- 28:55at the pressure a woman puts on stiletto heels when she strikes the floor,
- 29:00your entire body will be subjected to this pressure and transfer it to air volumes.
- 29:03This is this X description is just what it is at one hundred atmospheres
- 29:08where the submersible ended up down where the Titanic is is four hundred atmospheres and
- 29:14says it can't do this instantly. It takes a little time. While it's
- 29:17happening, that pressure gradient is still an issue. Only after it's done is
- 29:19the body pressurized enough to equalize the force. So during those first few moments
- 29:23it will be as if a woman was driving stiletto heels into your windpipe.
- 29:26In every direction, tissues would accelerate inward at a speed limited only by the
- 29:32ability to accelerate the water into the space as the tissue is shoved towards air
- 29:36pockets. I do believe the only limit to speed here is the speed of
- 29:40sound and water, which is quite high. Have you heard of a water
- 29:42hammer? Water really doesn't like to be slowed down, So once the air
- 29:45pockets are gone, the water pressure in on you will keep going. There's
- 29:49also something called a water cutter. Liquids or see gases would be that are
- 29:55in your lungs and things you're intestine in your stomach, they'll shrink to match
- 29:59the outer pressure. Lungs are spongy, so the shrinking should not be traumatic.
- 30:03However, it will practically nullify the exchange areat, leading to suffocation.
- 30:07The gas and the intestine and stomach will be squeezed, basically saying the poor
- 30:11guy would die of suffocation with two perforated ear drums and flattened out bowels.
- 30:15Not a particularly spectacular way of dying, but it's painful. And then there's
- 30:22even more that gets down here where they talk about the water basically cutting you
- 30:26to pieces. Yeah, all your internal cavities with air will be crushed to
- 30:33just a fraction of their original volume. At the same time, few leaders
- 30:37of water will force their way into you. Soon compressed air will bubble out
- 30:41of you, and water around dyed slight pink with blood from torn tissues.
- 30:45So basically the worst possible thing you could ever witness, but again, at
- 30:49least it would be instant. Yeah, yeah, I guess. I mean
- 30:53I'd rather have that than just sit there and knowing I'm gonna run out of
- 30:56air with four other idiot billionaires. Well that's just and Dan that your description
- 31:02and that's just at a thousand meters down right, Yeah, because god,
- 31:07this is three thousand down Yeah, that's what's crazy is they said, you
- 31:12know, you go into space. I forgot the number of it. Basically
- 31:17they said, you know, the different pressures at different atmospheres. It's like
- 31:22from Earth to the space station, like thirty different pressures, and down here
- 31:27you're talking about I think said three sixty five or something like that. It
- 31:30said, I mean, it's nuts. Why more people have been in space
- 31:34than that depth of the ocean. I'd rather you give me an option.
- 31:37You know, you want to go to space, you want to go down
- 31:38in the sub send me to space. Yeah, at least in space we
- 31:44know there's you know, chance to get crumpled up in a little spaceball and
- 31:48you might have a chance. Sorry, Billy, you missed that story.
- 31:52That's a little dark too, But okay, Now there was a story about
- 31:56there was a safety plan a way back in the space Shuttle days that basically
- 32:02they had space balls that a couple of people would stay in the shuttle in
- 32:07space suits and other people would basically get you would have to get in the
- 32:13fetal position and get like zipped up in these pressure ized space balls that had
- 32:16some scrubbers and would give you a chance of a few extra days of survival
- 32:22if something catastrophic happened. I'm not built for all that. No, there's
- 32:28a reason why we all talk for a living. Yeah, Like, just
- 32:30keep me here. I'm fine. I'm with you. It's like if someone
- 32:34comes to me and gives me that that you know, horrible, Zamando,
- 32:37would you rather option go to the depths of the ocean or go into space?
- 32:42I'm like, can I just stay here? I don't really want to
- 32:45do either of those things. When I was a kid, may I may
- 32:49have chosen differently, but not as an adult. It's like people who want
- 32:52to climb Everest or K two or whatever. I don't. I've never looked
- 32:57at a mountain and going, man, I've got to get up there.
- 33:00Like you know, we got YouTube, I'll just look at it, you
- 33:02know what I mean? Like there's nothing I can't see on YouTube. I
- 33:07won't go to Titanic. I'll go to the mountains wherever you want. I
- 33:09can't even write a roller coaster on YouTube. Yes, put on some Oculus
- 33:14VR headset. I'm I'm pretty much there without the implosion. Yeah, it
- 33:20might be fun to go to Everest base camp, because you know, someone
- 33:22can just helicopter me up there and you know, enjoy the few and everything
- 33:25else. Helicopter. I don't want to get on that. I don't want
- 33:28to get on anything if I don't have to. I'm feeling, I'm good.
- 33:30I don't want to get on the tollway half the time. I want
- 33:34to do anything. I'm good. I'll stay at home. I'm like Dan,
- 33:36I'll stay right here. Sad party is because I don't mean to feel
- 33:39like, you know, sound rude to these guys. You know, these
- 33:42people who lost their lives just because they're billionaires. I still feel for their
- 33:45family, except the kid step the steps on. We'll get to ball,
- 33:49Yeah, we'll get them in a second. Yeah, But I do feel
- 33:51bad for the family. I mean, it doesn't matter how much money you
- 33:52have, but I mean, you know the risk you're going into this thing.
- 33:55You know you're gonna take a massive risk. So it's hard to feel,
- 34:00you know, the same kind of compassion as someone who just tragically died
- 34:05by some you know, crazy circumstance. You knew walking into the signing your
- 34:08death waiver chance you might not make it out. So the uh so,
- 34:15two of the people that were on that submersible, one Trey you said it
- 34:19was the Scottish guy, Hamish, and I think another one was his son.
- 34:23No, it was a different, different guy of Indian guy. I
- 34:29think, yes, Pakistani. Okay, Yeah. So apparently they spoke to
- 34:35one of his one of their family members. I guess it was the dad's
- 34:37sister, So the kid's aunt, and she had told the media that the
- 34:43son was absolutely and she used the word specifically, terrified of doing this because
- 34:50of the safety concerns and the only reason he did it was for a Father's
- 34:53Day gift. Oh, I know, It's just it's absolutely gut wrenching on
- 34:58the flip side, then you got the step son of one of these other
- 35:00guys who has been all over social media and saying you know what, you
- 35:06know. You know, people you know cope in different ways. I cope
- 35:09by going to Blink Win eighty two concerts and hitting on only fans models.
- 35:15Yeah, that's all that's how I cope. If, by the way,
- 35:16my son, if if I go missing for an hour, you better cry
- 35:21at the entire time. I'm gone. I don't want to see him at
- 35:23a Blink Win eighty two concert. I don't want to see him. I'm
- 35:27fine with him hitting on the only Fans model. Fine, no, yeah,
- 35:32he apparently Yeah, this same kid. And I'm not even making that
- 35:35part up. That was a thought I had to That was the part I
- 35:37had to go back and and see if it was accurate. I believe the
- 35:40terrified thing by the one guy. I knew the Blink Win eighty two thing
- 35:45had happened because this kid had posted about it and saying hey and basically tweeting
- 35:50at Blink Win eighty two, thanks for making me feel better tonight, guys.
- 35:53Um uh. And then the only Fans thing. I was like,
- 35:58there's no way, and he did. He had tweeted or posted at an
- 36:00only Fans model talking about how make him feel better if she sat, if
- 36:05she sat on his face? Can you imagine and you imagine one is going
- 36:09through this? This kid is that dumb? How he knows what he's doing?
- 36:15He just did. I mean obviously was his step dad. He didn't
- 36:17care well the way you can care about somebody if you're doing it. And
- 36:21he's got to be getting some kind of inheritance. I mean, no doubt
- 36:22about it. So he's already he's already online. See he's single. At
- 36:25one point I saw like, are you kidding me right now? Sometimes it's
- 36:30so ridiculous. I thought the same thing. I thought, this is gotta
- 36:32be a screenshot. Somebody made this up. Now it's real life. This
- 36:36guy is the worst human I've heard. Well, I feel that. Yeah,
- 36:40I didn't know anything about the Only fans, so, but I did
- 36:44see an interview with a someone else who was a child of one of these
- 36:49billionaire adventures, and they did say at a certain point, when you deal
- 36:52with people that are doing this kind of stuff on a regular basis, that
- 36:55you basically accept the fact that every time you say goodbye to them when they
- 37:00go on one of these things, it could very well be the last time
- 37:04you're seeing them. And so there's mentally that you're you're kind of prepared for
- 37:10the fact that they very well could die. And it's something now the only
- 37:15fans that does seem you know, there's I could kind of understand the blink
- 37:21when any two thing, but yeah, the only fans. Sorry, I
- 37:22mean, I know people grieve differently, but how many people grieve by just
- 37:25going up and just big smiles at a at a concert while they can't find
- 37:30your your family members, like and then you just don't post about it.
- 37:34Don't yeah, yeah, do it, but don't but don't say you're doing
- 37:37it well. And that's saying you're doing it. And imagine, imagine,
- 37:39like what are you supposed to do if if you're blink when eighty two,
- 37:42like like you're mark office or something, and then you like you're doing You're
- 37:45walking on the like the front edge of the stage, and all of a
- 37:47sudden, this kid in the front row is shouting up at you, my
- 37:52dad's dying at the bottom of the Atlantic, but I'm so glad to be
- 37:55here. You're making me feel better. How do you respond to that?
- 38:00Like? Thanks? Bro? Do you fist bump? I mean, do
- 38:01you want to selfie? How do you How do you respond to they come
- 38:05out of the show. Immediately you kick him out and say, go go
- 38:07be with the search and rescue party, Go be with your family. Why
- 38:09are you here? Get out of here? At least pretend to care.
- 38:13So that way, when you go to the meeting with the lawyers and they
- 38:15tell you here's your inheritance, you can at least play the part as you're
- 38:21crying. Yeah, practice or something, and I mean, dude, something
- 38:23you gotta do. I mean this kid, Oh my god, that made
- 38:25me like, wow, you talk about just no cares. They started crying
- 38:30when they play all the small things. Yeah, exactly, there's so many
- 38:35songs. I wasn't going to be the one to say. Dot com,
- 38:58let's welcome into the treehouse annual cook of Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. Their
- 39:02phone number, which, thanks to all these storms, you probably needed eight
- 39:06three three Cook DFW. That's eight three three Cook DFW the website COOKDFW dot
- 39:10com. So, Daniel, I just mentioned it. There's been lots of
- 39:14storms coming through North Texas, and I would imagine that means with all that
- 39:19damage, the insurance companies are probably pretty busy as well. Dan, you
- 39:22got it, man. Those insurance companies are to dated with claims. I
- 39:25just heard those over fifty thousand claims in the first in one month alone in
- 39:30DFW. So that means these insurance companies are scrambling to find people to get
- 39:35out to these people's homes, and sometimes they hire third party groups to actually
- 39:39go out and expect these houses. And unfortunately they're not adjusters. They don't
- 39:44have a license. They are merely jumping up on people's roots and taking some
- 39:47pictures, maybe walking around the house taking some pictures, and all that information
- 39:52doesn't always mean that your house is going to get taken care of properly.
- 39:54Yeah, because from what it sounds like, it's they're just gonna send those
- 39:58photos in. Someone else is going to look at them and make a decision
- 40:00based on a couple of photos, and that's not what you want as a
- 40:02homeowner. You need to make sure that your roof is in good shape.
- 40:06Well, we would love to come out to your house with that insurance representative
- 40:08whoever they choose to send out, because what we do then we walk around,
- 40:13we point out the things that are wrong with the person's house. We
- 40:15will, you know, show the adjust or show the inspector everything that we're
- 40:20seeing to protect the homeowner make sure their claim is fully identified all the way
- 40:24through. So you need a roof to protect your home and your belongings,
- 40:29and that means you need a roofing company to you know, keep an eye
- 40:31on your roof. And that's why in the Treehouse we recommend Cook DFW Roofing
- 40:37and Restoration. Give Daniel call eight three three, Cook DFW eight three three

- 40:47Let's welcome into the Treehouse. Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing. Their phone number two
- 40:52one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight, the website Rooks Plumbing Texas
- 40:57dot com. Now, Jacqueline, I'm pretty sure I already know the answer
- 41:00to this, but I want to just make sure for everybody. Do you
- 41:02do emergency plumbing services at Brooks Plumbing? We do. In fact, you
- 41:07know the floaties that they put on kid's arms when they're really young and they're
- 41:09learning to swim. Yes, every one of my trucks have at least two
- 41:14pairs of those, just in case you find yourself swimming in your own home.
- 41:17We do do emergency response. But let me tell you the short and
- 41:21quick of this is, especially if you've got an active water leak, if
- 41:24you do not know how to turn off the water at your house, I
- 41:28will recommend that you do not call me first. The first thing you should
- 41:30do is call and I hate to be this person nine one one, and
- 41:35ask them to immediately dispatch you the fire truck. Because the reason why is
- 41:37that if the house is flooding, nobody's going to get there faster than your
- 41:42local to fire department. They're gonna know how to turn off your water,
- 41:45and they're going to be there faster than any plumber you can hire. After
- 41:49you call them, then call me. They won't bill you for that.
- 41:52You can try and sit there and google for the phone number for your water
- 41:55department, but good luck finding that when you actively need it. Called the
- 42:00fire department for so many homeowners, just call them first if you don't know
- 42:02how to turn off your water, and then let me come through and then
- 42:06we'll fix it. Let's reduce the damage to the inside of your property first.
- 42:09That's my advice. So not only are you getting great plumbing services,
- 42:13you're also getting great house tips at nine one one hacks from Jaqueline at Brooks

- 43:10submersible. That would have been good for them to have before they took their
- 43:14plunge. Yeah, especially with the Linkwin eighty two sound track. Thanks Trey.
- 43:21Hey, you're going deeper than that tighten thing. You're going to Hell.
- 43:25You are going you are not to pass go, You're not to collect
- 43:29two hundred dollars. You will go right past the Titanic and straight into Hell.
- 43:35If you end that steps on, you're gonna be sitting together and in
- 43:37the waiting room, and with any luck, there will be an oly Fens
- 43:42model that make her away if you're lucky. So let's I wanted the idea.
- 43:46I needed to share this with you guys. Something less morbid than the
- 43:52submersible at the bottom of the ocean. And that is my experience at the
- 43:57Bureau of Motor Vehicles recently here in the US Virgin Islands. So Billy these
- 44:05islands. Tray has been here. He came and visited a couple of months
- 44:07ago on vacation, had a great time, and he got to see some
- 44:12of the things that are sort of the idiosyncrasies of island life, one of
- 44:15which is things here are not the same as they are in the States.
- 44:20We don't have some of the We have a lot of the same luxuries,
- 44:25but not all of them. And one of the weird things is the islands
- 44:29have a tendency to operate twenty to thirty years in the past. So what
- 44:32I mean by that is mail is still important here. Fax machines are still
- 44:38important here. And when you go to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, you
- 44:45have to go every couple of years to get a new license plate because they
- 44:47keep changing out license plates. And when they change out license plates, they
- 44:51make everyone go get the new one. So my gosh. When we shipped
- 44:55my vehicle here, we drove it to Florida and then had it shipped here
- 45:00with a shipping company. And because it's cheaper to do that than it would
- 45:01have been to buy a vehicle here, because cars here cost way more than
- 45:06they do in the state. Wow. So I have tried to go get
- 45:09my license plate two other times. Both times I went, they didn't have
- 45:15any plates that day, like they just ran out. They just ran out
- 45:19a plate. And then if they don't have plates, then they have to
- 45:21wait for you know, whoever makes the plates to ship them in so they
- 45:23have a new stack a plate so they you can go back and get them.
- 45:27So a couple of days ago I go and I got tricked. I
- 45:31call this an island bait and switch billy. So what happened is they had
- 45:36the the look that of a digital line. So you can go online,
- 45:44fill out your information to swap out a license plate and make an appointment and
- 45:47you can just show up at your appointment time and you're supposed to be golden,
- 45:51right. Yeah. No, So I set my appointment for ten thirty
- 45:54in the morning. I didn't leave until twelve thirty in the afternoon. Because
- 45:59it was a bait and switch. So I had my appointment. I show
- 46:01up at ten thirty and they're like, Okay, you're here, awesome,
- 46:05Now I go sit down. You're in line to wait. It'll be about
- 46:07an hour or so. What what was the point of the of making the
- 46:12appoint I could have just walked in at the same time and been told the
- 46:15same thing. Well was the point? I don't know. Maybe to make
- 46:19you feel better. I maybe there's some sort of logistical reason on their end
- 46:23that they didn't share because it's BMV. But then one of my favorite things
- 46:28is they have a TV screen with everybody's names on it, so you see
- 46:32who's up next, and what window you're supposed to go to, and how
- 46:37long your wait time is and all this stuff. And that's when a couple
- 46:43to other people in the waiting room almost get into a fight because I guess
- 46:46some of the names would slide around on the screen. So the other thing
- 46:51that's interesting about island life Billy is while Saint Thomas has a population of around
- 46:55fifty thousand people, it's like a small town. It's a very it's a
- 46:59very tiny place. Everybody knows everybody on some level. Right. So one
- 47:05of the guys that was waiting behind me is a guy that lives like five
- 47:08houses below me, who's also been to the house before because we needed a
- 47:13quote on some fencing. So my fence guy is waiting in the lobby as
- 47:17well, and he sees his name up there. He's like, he's like
- 47:21three slots behind me, and I guess he thought he saw his name pop
- 47:25up, and he's like, oh, it's my turn. So he goes
- 47:30up and then it moves back. He's like, wall, wait a minute,
- 47:31I thought I was number three. And then out of nowhere, this
- 47:35chick pipes up. She says, you're not at number three. I'm number
- 47:38three, and he looks at her and says, shut up, Carol,
- 47:43and then she looks at him and she says, you Jeff. Turns out
- 47:49they knew each other yet lest you had entertainment. Yeah, I mean,
- 47:54I though when he called her Carol, I thought he was like, I
- 47:57thought he was trying to put her down or something like or a Karen or
- 48:00something. But no, her name was actually Carrol because I looked up and
- 48:02her name was up there, and his name is actually Jeff. And they
- 48:07did they know each other so they had a nice little exchange there in the
- 48:09Bureau of Motor Vehicles as we all waited for our license plates. It doesn't
- 48:14matter. I guess where you go. It's BMV, DMV. It's a
- 48:16mess. Like the DMV here in Texas is all shut down right now.
- 48:20Something went wrong today, so all the DMVs are just shut down. I
- 48:23don't know what happened. It's like what whatever country or state you go to,
- 48:27it's pure chaos at the DMB. Yeah, it really is a place
- 48:30where fun goes to die. Yeah, and everybody is just miserable working there.
- 48:38I mean you are immediate immediately when you say something, they're just waiting
- 48:42to say no, you don't have the right paperwork. They don't even care
- 48:45where you have. As soon as you walk up, they're just waiting to
- 48:47shut you down. And you always and the first time you go, you
- 48:52always are missing something. There's always something you need and you have to go
- 48:55home, you have to make a new appointment, you have to take the
- 48:58morning off again out of other date, and it's just a mess. The
- 49:01psor for me was because I went back, I had to get mine done
- 49:06in July. And although I will say it was a pretty efficient experience if
- 49:12you make an appointment and go in pretty But I had to go get a
- 49:15copy of my birth certificate to show them. I'm like, how do you
- 49:21think I got these other IDs like this one that's expired now are going to
- 49:24expire? What do you what do you think? Like? What does this
- 49:27do? But want it's even worse. This might be worse. I had
- 49:32to go to Texas Wildlife and Parks or whatever. You know, Yeah,
- 49:39I had to go to there by the way. There's like three of them
- 49:42in all of North Texas. So go did you go to one on belt
- 49:45Line out in Arlan, Yeah, that's where yeah, oh yeah, I
- 49:49took it to Garland, straight to the dirty g right. Oh there,
- 49:52and I pull up and of course I have every I mean, I've went
- 49:54over my paperwork five million times. I've checked everything on the list. There's
- 49:59no way you're gonna tell I can't get my new boat registration. Yes,
- 50:01there is. Immediately I go in the girl's like, um, this is
- 50:06the trailer title. I said, y yep, sure is. And then
- 50:07I have this title for the boat. I have both because that's great,
- 50:12but um, the owner, the previous owner only signed the trailer title.
- 50:16He didn't sign the boat title. Said okay, well, I can't get
- 50:22ahold of the guy. It's been so long he won't return my calls.
- 50:24I think he's dead. He's like, well, you better figure it out.
- 50:28You want to get back in the line. I was like, what,
- 50:30why so we can have the same we can have the same pointless conversation
- 50:35again. I said, I literally can't get ahold of the guy. What
- 50:37do you want me to do? She goes, well, go to his
- 50:38house. I think he I genuinely think he's dead. Okay, So what
- 50:43she's saying is then in order to go through with the process of the proper
- 50:46titling and registration, they want you to bring his corpse to the to the
- 50:52facility. They want me to take his limp corpse and forge his signature.
- 50:55I don't know what to do, so she live. I kept asking her
- 50:59what to do, and she just kept looking at me like, I don't
- 51:00know, but you know, we'll close at five o'clock. And I'm like,
- 51:05but I need to know, like the stay. I know I'm not
- 51:06gonna get it done today. No, Well, what kind I wait in
- 51:08line for like an hour and a half. The door the line was out
- 51:12the door, out the door, sweating swamp ass sitting outside just to get
- 51:16denied. So and the worst thing would be once you drag his lifeless corpse
- 51:22to the to the cashier, or when you once you drag his lifeless corpse
- 51:27into that facility, she's going to tell you he's dead. Yeah, I'm
- 51:30sorry, we need your death certificates. So what you're gonna have to do
- 51:35is you're gonna have to get get your producer, Pooh, and the two
- 51:38of you are gonna have to tie that guy up, like and you're gonna
- 51:42have to weakend it, burning him into that Parks and Wildlife to get to
- 51:45your registration. I'm just gonna bring Pooh in, say it's him, you
- 51:50know what I mean, Like, I'm just gonna start peating. I don't
- 51:52know what to do. And then she literally kind of said like intoed,
- 51:55like don't think about going to forge the signature in the parking lot and come
- 51:58back in. You know. She's like, and he has to sign it.
- 52:01Looked at me like, I know what you're gonna do, buddy.
- 52:07I think you should have just done that anyway I wanted to, but then
- 52:09i'd have to wait in that hour and a half line again, so I
- 52:12was like, you know what, I'll just sell this damn bow. It
- 52:15beats the hell out of ending up at the bottom of the Atlantic. Yea,
