- 0:01Speaker 1: Good money, good morning, good morning, Welcome uncle, welcome. It
- 0:05Speaker 1: is time now or our car talk program. I know
- 0:09Speaker 1: that because it's Thursday and the sun is shining and
- 0:11Speaker 1: I'm getting.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Blinded from all the gleam from the beautiful toyotas out
- 0:15Speaker 2: there at the Family of Bottles.
- 0:16Speaker 3: How are you doing there, bred, Good morning time, Good
- 0:19Speaker 3: morning friends. I'm doing great. It's a beautiful moment raight outside.
- 0:24Speaker 4: The dust has settled, I can breathe.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Halloween.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, happy Halloween. Bread.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to go and look in the mirror
- 0:31Speaker 2: and scare myself underton, thank you.
- 0:35Speaker 5: I'm disguised as an old man.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Leo as a as a like a classic car sales
- 0:44Speaker 3: from the seventies.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Did you have the whole.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Blad pants and oh that is glasses.
- 0:55Speaker 4: You got to go there just to see that. You
- 0:59Speaker 4: just have to go out there to see that.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there are a few other I saw one of
- 1:03Speaker 3: the techs had a good costume on. And you know,
- 1:06Speaker 3: so we've got a little bit of Halloween action going
- 1:08Speaker 3: on at the dealership. Halloween. Thankful for the rain last night?
- 1:13Speaker 3: Did we did our storm dance at the dealership? And
- 1:16Speaker 3: and somehow it still can get all the cars inside it.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It's incredible. It's one of these magical things we do
- 1:23Speaker 3: that no one really understands except us. And it's kind
- 1:28Speaker 3: of happened spontaneously when the bad weather is approaching, and
- 1:32Speaker 3: you know I do. I'm kind of a warrior and
- 1:35Speaker 3: I and I risk a. Risk management is one of
- 1:40Speaker 3: my key responsibilities at the dealership.
- 1:43Speaker 4: And we'll call it.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You know, you look at all those cars and the
- 1:45Speaker 3: deductible on each one, and you just imagine a hailstorm coming.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And I've been there and seen that happen, and it's
- 1:52Speaker 3: it's no fun at all the cars in back out.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I am not eager to do a hailsale brand. Let's
- 2:00Speaker 3: let's keep doing that. Back in the day, they were,
- 2:03Speaker 3: you know, there was some there were ways to work
- 2:07Speaker 3: the insurance and the hell repair and all that and
- 2:09Speaker 3: get people some really great deals on cars. But it's
- 2:12Speaker 3: harder and harder now and just more expensive and and
- 2:15Speaker 3: cars are so you know, just to have all electronics
- 2:18Speaker 3: and hal could be really damaging. And we've had such
- 2:21Speaker 3: horrific hailstorms around here this year. You know, your vehicle
- 2:26Speaker 3: is important. It's just easier to do the hail the yeah,
- 2:31Speaker 3: fingers crossed. All we got was rain around here, so excellent, excellent,
- 2:36Speaker 3: needed that rain. Need What more is coming this weekend? Yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 3: but tonight tonight, perfect evening for Halloween.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Nobody likes that.
- 2:48Speaker 3: There's so many Halloween events going on. I'm not going
- 2:50Speaker 3: to try to mention them all.
- 2:52Speaker 5: But we've got a little trunk retreat going on this afternoon.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Out and out and about today. I got big discounts
- 3:03Speaker 3: on our cores and lots of vehicles I was looking
- 3:06Speaker 3: this morning. Did my repricing routine, which I do every morning,
- 3:10Speaker 3: make sure all the new cars that arrived are priced
- 3:13Speaker 3: and get priced on the market, and reprice the used
- 3:17Speaker 3: cars that need to be and we had we have
- 3:20Speaker 3: twenty twenty four Toyotas on the ground right now and
- 3:24Speaker 3: about another twenty two comment. We have a great invent
- 3:30Speaker 3: twenty seven used vehicles, amazing, perfect collection of inventory pretty
- 3:35Speaker 3: much every model of Toyota. And if we don't have it,
- 3:40Speaker 3: we can certainly go get it for you. And nobody
- 3:43Speaker 3: can stock everything.
- 3:44Speaker 5: And that's sort of like having all of the flavors
- 3:47Speaker 5: of ice cream.
- 3:49Speaker 3: We just can't. There are so many different combinations cold. Yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 3: I'm just in the wrap four. I think there's eight
- 3:58Speaker 3: different trim levels, all kinds of different packages you can get.
- 4:02Speaker 3: They're all you know, that's a different colors run. Our
- 4:05Speaker 3: most popular it's they're all all wheel drive. You know.
- 4:08Speaker 3: The their hybrid technology is awesome, great fuel economy, flexibility, comfortable, comfortable,
- 4:15Speaker 3: and I have that that great Toyota DNA. You know,
- 4:20Speaker 3: we love it when our customers come in with their
- 4:22Speaker 3: their a couple hundred thousand mile cars and they're like,
- 4:25Speaker 3: I'm not sure if I'm ready to get another one
- 4:27Speaker 3: or three hundred thousand miles on it. It's exactly.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And you know they probably really got fine.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Yeah, lots of lots of good stuff. We were hoping
- 4:42Speaker 3: Ronda Hudson can join us this morning, but I know
- 4:45Speaker 3: they're getting ready, getting ready for Hops for Hope. It
- 4:49Speaker 3: is the fifteenth annual of this great event for supporting
- 4:53Speaker 3: the Ray of Hope Advocate Center out at the airport
- 4:56Speaker 3: this Saturday night. It's a home brewing competition and lots
- 5:00Speaker 3: of food and great Over eight hundred people. It's a
- 5:03Speaker 3: huge crowd, lots of stuff to do. If you like beer,
- 5:07Speaker 3: it is a good beer event. You'll want to get
- 5:12Speaker 3: a ride home from someone if you're vibing that. But
- 5:16Speaker 3: you know it's a it's a great event, and it's
- 5:18Speaker 3: it's the only fundraiser for Ray of Hope. They do
- 5:21Speaker 3: great work in our community. In Ronda and her team
- 5:23Speaker 3: will have them on some other time and talk about
- 5:26Speaker 3: their program and what what all the Monday they raised
- 5:28Speaker 3: this weekend. It is such a good organization. Yeah, we
- 5:31Speaker 3: had Charlene from the Big Brother Big Sisters yesterday.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yesterday Charletne was retiring and retire congratulations.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Charlene introduced me to you that well after so many
- 5:46Speaker 3: years of leading the Barsville organization. We've been sponsoring them
- 5:51Speaker 3: for years. They do great work and and but I
- 5:54Speaker 3: know the new local leader is going to do a
- 5:56Speaker 3: great job. And got to meet him yesterday and we'll
- 5:59Speaker 3: have him on in a few weeks and introduce you
- 6:02Speaker 3: to him soon. You know, lots of good stuff going
- 6:06Speaker 3: on to the dealership I mentioned, and we've talked about
- 6:09Speaker 3: this over the well throughout the whole history of the program,
- 6:12Speaker 3: or really of how the car business just keeps changing
- 6:15Speaker 3: and evolving. You know, there's we continue to try to
- 6:20Speaker 3: put that into our sales process. A lot of the
- 6:22Speaker 3: stuff you can do on the website. Now it just
- 6:25Speaker 3: moves right into the showroom. We've got our great market
- 6:29Speaker 3: based pricing out there and upfront pricing, and it's true
- 6:32Speaker 3: upfront pricing where we put out exactly what you pay
- 6:35Speaker 3: what you can come in and write a check for
- 6:37Speaker 3: the car. For the crazy disclaimers which I continue to see.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I do a lot of mystery shopping and looking at
- 6:46Speaker 3: people's websites and send Jason ideas about what to put,
- 6:49Speaker 3: how to do what we do, and you know, I
- 6:52Speaker 3: continue to see things that just are are not you know,
- 6:56Speaker 3: you want to be careful. Things about pricing that are
- 7:00Speaker 3: that are misleading, hidden fees, hidden fees. You know that
- 7:05Speaker 3: I found one yesterday I thought was kind of impressive. Really,
- 7:08Speaker 3: you know, it starts with all pricing and details are
- 7:11Speaker 3: believed to be accurate, but we do not warrant or
- 7:13Speaker 3: guarantee any such accuracy. Run run prices and payments do
- 7:20Speaker 3: not include tax titles, tags, finance charges, documentation charges, emissions,
- 7:25Speaker 3: testing charges, or other fees required by law. Vehicle sellers
- 7:29Speaker 3: are lending organizations, so I'm not sure what some of
- 7:34Speaker 3: those are are good because of course it doesn't include
- 7:37Speaker 3: your tax and title and things required by law, But
- 7:39Speaker 3: what is a vehicle seller fee? Not sure. Pricing can
- 7:44Speaker 3: change at any time.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Pricing can change at any time, like in the middle
- 7:50Speaker 5: of your deal, so that that's something that we do
- 7:53Speaker 5: not go ahead.
- 7:54Speaker 3: And say, please confirm the price at the dealership. But
- 7:59Speaker 3: then they say all all prices include a discount for
- 8:01Speaker 3: financing with the dealer to help us manage our portfolio
- 8:06Speaker 3: with lenders. And they don't say how much that discounting is.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So and I'm basically entirely yeah, but you know, that's
- 8:16Speaker 3: saying dropped all off with pricing provided may vary significantly
- 8:23Speaker 3: between the website and the dealer as a result of
- 8:25Speaker 3: supply chain constraints. Pricing shown is non binding and it's
- 8:29Speaker 3: not constitute an offer. Contact contact your dealer for updated
- 8:34Speaker 3: vehicle pricing. So basically the price is not not the price.
- 8:39Speaker 5: That'd be like going to the grocery store looking at
- 8:43Speaker 5: a gallon of milk. It says three thirty five and
- 8:46Speaker 5: you get up to the checkout counter and it's three
- 8:50Speaker 5: plus your milk handling fee.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Well, you're gonna pay for that through finance that for
- 8:56Speaker 3: forty eight months, right, so yeah, a yeah, there'll be
- 9:01Speaker 3: two dollars a month, thank you. I just I want
- 9:08Speaker 3: people to understand what our simple price is all about.
- 9:11Speaker 3: It's about taking out all those games. You know. Sometimes truthfully,
- 9:15Speaker 3: you know, it's it's difficult to get people to believe
- 9:18Speaker 3: us because of all these games other people playing. And
- 9:22Speaker 3: you know, there's a myth about these huge discounts in
- 9:25Speaker 3: car in the car business, you know, that really doesn't exist.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Dealers buy the cars from the man on new car side.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Dealers buy the cars from the manufacturers, all at the
- 9:38Speaker 3: same price, all for the same structure they have. There's
- 9:42Speaker 3: a there's hole back in different fees and things in there.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Some of that never reaches the dealer gets spent on
- 9:50Speaker 3: advertising and getting and delivering the vehicle to the dealer
- 9:54Speaker 3: from the from the plant basically however it gets there,
- 9:58Speaker 3: and you know, but then so some of that it's
- 10:00Speaker 3: not really our money that we ever get. But then
- 10:02Speaker 3: there's invoice and that's a you know, it's all those
- 10:06Speaker 3: charges and then hold back and then there's an MSRP
- 10:09Speaker 3: and typically that from invoice to ms RP or ts RP,
- 10:14Speaker 3: it's Toyota calls. It is a percentage of the overall
- 10:16Speaker 3: value of the vehicle. So you know, if you if
- 10:20Speaker 3: you know, say it's three percent or something, it's not
- 10:23Speaker 3: even as much as your taxes you're going to pay
- 10:25Speaker 3: on the car typically, and obviously we need to make
- 10:28Speaker 3: a profit to keep the lights on and to pay
- 10:30Speaker 3: our team to take care of you, you know. So
- 10:33Speaker 3: there's a limit to how far low we can go.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And but there's a pattern to this. It all makes sense.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's all it's not rocket science.
- 10:41Speaker 5: It's possible for us to make money on so and
- 10:45Speaker 5: give everybody a great deal and exactly exactly, and so
- 10:49Speaker 5: we try to make it simple.
- 10:51Speaker 3: We think it saves you time and money and a
- 10:54Speaker 3: lot of stress, a lot of stress in having to
- 10:57Speaker 3: deal with that. And you know, and and that's just
- 11:01Speaker 3: how we want to do it. We've you know, for
- 11:03Speaker 3: ninety five years. That's been our approach, is to take
- 11:06Speaker 3: care of our customers pretty good, treat them like you know,
- 11:09Speaker 3: like buying a car from you know, like the dealer's
- 11:11Speaker 3: best friend. Exactly. I used to say, that's you know,
- 11:14Speaker 3: that's how we want to treat everybody. And and uh,
- 11:17Speaker 3: you know, I know our team believes in that. That's
- 11:19Speaker 3: why our sales team chooses to work there. You know,
- 11:23Speaker 3: I think they want to be a place that that's
- 11:26Speaker 3: going to help you with your buy a car rather
- 11:28Speaker 3: than you know, kind of twist you around and make
- 11:31Speaker 3: you buy a car. So, you know, you mentioned something.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Our entire sales chef had an opportunity to work someplace
- 11:38Speaker 5: else recently, and our entire sales staff chose to stay
- 11:42Speaker 5: with Dungeons. Yeah, it's it's a testament how we operate
- 11:49Speaker 5: and how Brad manages. It's a great place to work.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Well that's why we you know, we that's why we
- 11:57Speaker 3: still exist, to be honest. Is great. That great place
- 12:01Speaker 3: to work and take care of our customers and keep
- 12:03Speaker 3: doing it and hopefully for another three or four generations.
- 12:06Speaker 3: That's that'd be great. You know, that's what we'd like
- 12:08Speaker 3: that we like to do, and that's what uh. You know,
- 12:11Speaker 3: the sign on the way out of town is about
- 12:13Speaker 3: making new history? Are are you know both the it
- 12:16Speaker 3: was and Tom I think that I think we think
- 12:22Speaker 3: it's it's also like let's go, let's go places, which
- 12:26Speaker 3: is Toyota's theme. And you know I driving that t
- 12:30Speaker 3: R T pro Saquia these last few games about what
- 12:34Speaker 3: you're driving right now, bred talk about. Yeah, Well it's
- 12:38Speaker 3: a it's a lot of fun. It's what is sport
- 12:43Speaker 3: mode bread there's echo normal and sport and sport is
- 12:48Speaker 3: actually quite impressive. It really with the twin turbo charger
- 12:53Speaker 3: and that hybrid engine, that load torque is just really impressive.
- 12:59Speaker 3: You know. I'm Mercour an eighty eight Mercour with the
- 13:02Speaker 3: turbo system as just a little bit of lag in it.
- 13:04Speaker 3: It's awful fun to drive. But you know it's light
- 13:07Speaker 3: and handles great. But you know these there's no lag
- 13:12Speaker 3: on this twin turbo system, and yeah, I know, it's
- 13:16Speaker 3: quite fun. A little bit. Got to take it out.
- 13:19Speaker 3: I put Kimberly's paddle board up on top. It's got
- 13:23Speaker 3: a big rack on top and we've got some straps
- 13:26Speaker 3: in a way to tire paddle board up. Went out
- 13:28Speaker 3: to Hudson Lake last weekend. I went mountain biking and
- 13:31Speaker 3: she got out on her paddle board. Great lifestyle vehicle.
- 13:34Speaker 3: That's why I love it is I know I can
- 13:36Speaker 3: take that everywhere I want to go up in Colorado
- 13:39Speaker 3: or out at the ranch, you know, get me to
- 13:41Speaker 3: the fishing hole, ye you know, get me wherever I
- 13:44Speaker 3: want to go, which is when I'm not working. That's
- 13:46Speaker 3: what I want to do is go get outside, go
- 13:49Speaker 3: go do something, you know, to burn some energy. You
- 13:53Speaker 3: pedal and.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Just doing a lot of things.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Well, we like to stay busy. That's that is as
- 14:03Speaker 3: lots of good stuff going on anyway out of the
- 14:06Speaker 3: dealership too. And I mentioned our twenty four Toyotas that
- 14:10Speaker 3: we have in stock, and that's that's one of the
- 14:13Speaker 3: best inventories that we've had and a lot of them
- 14:15Speaker 3: have just arrived and there's a bunch more coming.
- 14:19Speaker 5: So have you seen the new Prius. We have a
- 14:23Speaker 5: red one Tom the redesigned Prius, the twenty twenty five's.
- 14:27Speaker 5: They are just gorgeous in the size, the wheelbase looks
- 14:32Speaker 5: like it's changed.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Well and people may you know, you think back to
- 14:35Speaker 3: the original Prias, it was pretty much it was extremely efficient.
- 14:40Speaker 3: They've always been you know, designed for to maximize fuel economy.
- 14:45Speaker 3: That's true. But now it's not just you know, sleek
- 14:48Speaker 3: and obviously you know, low resistance in the end, but
- 14:53Speaker 3: it's stylish. It really looks like, wow, are sexy. We
- 14:58Speaker 3: have people coming here coming in definitely looking at that
- 15:02Speaker 3: that way. We've got cameras on the ground right now.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Corolla Cross well in the Grand Highlander Grand Highlanders not
- 15:09Speaker 3: on the ground, but there's a couple of those coming.
- 15:12Speaker 3: We've got land cruisers on the way. You mentioned the
- 15:15Speaker 3: Prius we've got. I think it's up to seven rab
- 15:19Speaker 3: fos now available and those will go. I don't think
- 15:24Speaker 3: they'll last the weekend. Just one Sequoia right now. We
- 15:28Speaker 3: sold the platinum yet, I think it's delivering today. But
- 15:32Speaker 3: that's as good what we want to do on all
- 15:34Speaker 3: these folks. I mean, it's just as simple as this.
- 15:36Speaker 3: We need to sell them out so we can get more.
- 15:41Speaker 3: You know, this is the Toyota business. I was looking
- 15:45Speaker 3: at some of our guys that we are trying to
- 15:48Speaker 3: earn vehicles with other dealers in Oklahoma. We all try
- 15:51Speaker 3: to earn them together, and you know, some of those
- 15:54Speaker 3: guys can are selling you know, five out of six
- 15:57Speaker 3: of their cameras, and you know it's just it's it's
- 16:00Speaker 3: turn and earn business and turn turn. We've got to
- 16:02Speaker 3: find a way to deliver all these so we're we'll
- 16:05Speaker 3: make deals. It all. It's all resets tonight, so the
- 16:10Speaker 3: end of the month into the month deal. We have
- 16:12Speaker 3: to do what they call preferences by eight o'clock tomorrow, morning.
- 16:16Speaker 3: So every because everything will allocate out. We get allocation
- 16:19Speaker 3: of toyotas twice a month. Well, it'll be over the
- 16:23Speaker 3: next few days we'll get our next allocation and then
- 16:27Speaker 3: we'll find out first of all what models we're going
- 16:29Speaker 3: to get. In about three days later, we'll get the
- 16:32Speaker 3: vents and trim levels and more details color all that
- 16:35Speaker 3: on the vehicle. And you know, some of these the
- 16:39Speaker 3: most popular ones like land Cruiser until recently the sequah
- 16:43Speaker 3: Y sometimes well especially the some of the wrap furs.
- 16:47Speaker 3: There's certain ones that are just really hard to get, uh,
- 16:51Speaker 3: you know, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, you know all that. Many
- 16:56Speaker 3: of those are selling before they get there if they're
- 16:59Speaker 3: highly desirable, So just be sure to check with the team.
- 17:03Speaker 3: We will know. One thing you didn't mention.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Here's our stock of Tacoma's and we're kind of becoming
- 17:10Speaker 5: on that and it's known as the Tacoma Center where
- 17:14Speaker 5: we've had such through the years, such great Really we
- 17:19Speaker 5: love the Tacoma because our customers use them.
- 17:22Speaker 3: They we have lots of great uh, like oil field
- 17:25Speaker 3: companies that are out there. If anybody knows that business,
- 17:29Speaker 3: these are the so they're driving around on out in
- 17:32Speaker 3: the country on those roads, you know, continually constantly all
- 17:37Speaker 3: day for days and years. These cars get beat up
- 17:41Speaker 3: and that theages keeps on going. And you know, it's
- 17:45Speaker 3: a great vehicle for us, has been for years. The new,
- 17:48Speaker 3: newly redesigned one has lots of great features and technology
- 17:53Speaker 3: in it all again, all the different trim levels from
- 17:56Speaker 3: basically the work truck all the way up to.
- 18:00Speaker 5: These luxury rides and just pros and everything else. Bulletproof, totally,
- 18:07Speaker 5: bullet totally.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Tacoma is good and we have both new and used
- 18:12Speaker 3: Tacoma's in stock.
- 18:14Speaker 2: These are kind of like when families get set on
- 18:17Speaker 2: a vehicle. Yeah, well the next generation has a tendency
- 18:21Speaker 2: to go do it, dude.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Well this is what you got. Toyota is about, right,
- 18:26Speaker 3: I mean, Toyota is you know, it's it's one of
- 18:30Speaker 3: those things. It's the DNA of the vehicle that it
- 18:33Speaker 3: is so attractive to certain people. And you know, there's
- 18:37Speaker 3: all everybody makes great cars these days. It seems like
- 18:40Speaker 3: every there's flavors like you mentioned of ice cream, and
- 18:44Speaker 3: but to Toyota you can count on that great value.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I think is really one of those things. You know,
- 18:50Speaker 3: if you think of the cars like our Corolla. The
- 18:54Speaker 3: dollar per mile on that car has got to be
- 18:57Speaker 3: one of the lowest in the history of our end
- 18:59Speaker 3: is all the time economical ride. Yeah, and if that's
- 19:05Speaker 3: your you know what you want, and maybe that you
- 19:07Speaker 3: want a little more car than that. Just that principle
- 19:11Speaker 3: goes all the way through the Toyota lineup, where you're
- 19:14Speaker 3: getting really great value for your money and reliability. That
- 19:19Speaker 3: works in leasing really well. People we're seeing because of
- 19:24Speaker 3: higher interest rates, some people starting to consider either a
- 19:28Speaker 3: used vehicle, a sort of lightly used almost new car,
- 19:33Speaker 3: or a lease to try to keep their payments low.
- 19:37Speaker 3: A lot of people in our area aren't familiar with leasing.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It is so to do some parts of the country,
- 19:42Speaker 3: though at least sixty or eighty percent ortually all of you.
- 19:47Speaker 3: So it's you know, basically, if you think about it,
- 19:52Speaker 3: when you're buying a car, you're buying a depreciating asset,
- 19:55Speaker 3: and its value starts dropping the minute you drive away,
- 19:58Speaker 3: and over time you catch up with that. And and you know,
- 20:01Speaker 3: and especially if you're taking a longer loan to get
- 20:04Speaker 3: your payment down, it take it can take quite a
- 20:07Speaker 3: bit of time for the value of your vehicle to
- 20:09Speaker 3: go below the payoff on the loan. And you know
- 20:14Speaker 3: a lot of times people want a new car a
- 20:15Speaker 3: little bit sooner than that. Yeahs out out six or seven,
- 20:20Speaker 3: eight years. That's a long time, you know, and your
- 20:24Speaker 3: life may change, you have children. Downsize, whatever it is
- 20:28Speaker 3: is downsize. You know. What leasing does is allow you
- 20:32Speaker 3: to buy that first part of the vehicle and keep
- 20:35Speaker 3: the rest of your money. So the way I like
- 20:38Speaker 3: to look at it is, I'm going to buy three
- 20:41Speaker 3: years of the car, and it's just so it's half
- 20:45Speaker 3: of the value of the vehicle. That other half that
- 20:49Speaker 3: I didn't buy, I can keep that money, so I
- 20:52Speaker 3: really get the equity right up front, all right, exactly
- 20:57Speaker 3: the day I leased the car. I've got all that. Say,
- 21:00Speaker 3: it's a thirty five thousand dollars car, and the least
- 21:04Speaker 3: all the lease payments add up to eighteen thousand dollars.
- 21:08Speaker 3: You've paid for over half the car. You've paid for
- 21:10Speaker 3: over half the car. If it's worth more than the
- 21:13Speaker 3: residual when you're left, you can buy it and keep
- 21:15Speaker 3: and even make money again on it. Sell it. We might,
- 21:19Speaker 3: We'll probably buy it from you, and you can pocket
- 21:22Speaker 3: that difference. So it works either way. If you if
- 21:25Speaker 3: it's if it's not worth more than what the company
- 21:29Speaker 3: guaranteed the residual to be, you can walk away buy
- 21:33Speaker 3: any car you want. It's really a cool deal.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Well, and you know all of this talk about how
- 21:39Speaker 5: toyotas hold their value, it brings us to another subject,
- 21:45Speaker 5: which is we want to buy your car back. You know,
- 21:49Speaker 5: we love selling cars, we love maintaining them, and twice from.
- 21:55Speaker 3: We are. You know, it's really important to know that
- 22:00Speaker 3: these local cars like your flags, yeah, that have spent
- 22:03Speaker 3: most of their lives in bartles All. We know it.
- 22:06Speaker 4: We know it, we know its service history, we know everything.
- 22:09Speaker 3: The miles that are not high for its age, you
- 22:11Speaker 3: know all those things that you look for in a local,
- 22:14Speaker 3: good used car and and a lot of those are
- 22:16Speaker 3: We have a great spot for that here in bartlesviel
- 22:19Speaker 3: And we are one of the largest buying centers in
- 22:22Speaker 3: this part of the We are the largest buyings look
- 22:26Speaker 3: at buying cars every day. And and you don't have
- 22:29Speaker 3: to buy a car from us. For us to buy
- 22:32Speaker 3: your vehicle, just bring it, bring us in. Uh, We're
- 22:36Speaker 3: we noticed yesterday that the little page on the website
- 22:39Speaker 3: was kind of hard to get to us. It's popping
- 22:41Speaker 3: up to the top.
- 22:41Speaker 5: But we you know, we're very happy to buy any
- 22:47Speaker 5: local vehicle, and we are, as they say, paying top
- 22:50Speaker 5: dollar for used cars because the market still is uh
- 22:55Speaker 5: is kind of leaning that way where.
- 22:57Speaker 3: People are looking for good value and you cars, there's
- 23:00Speaker 3: always a market for the less expensive vehicles. Let's face it,
- 23:05Speaker 3: that's a big market, I think. You know, typically there's
- 23:09Speaker 3: forty million used cars sold in a year and only
- 23:12Speaker 3: sixteen million new vehicles. So the used cars turn many more,
- 23:17Speaker 3: often have life after life, you know, and some people
- 23:21Speaker 3: just can't afford a new car.
- 23:22Speaker 5: So if you've got a used vehicle that you are
- 23:25Speaker 5: ready to part with, even if you're not looking for
- 23:27Speaker 5: a new car, come see us. It comes just toys.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Come come talk to brother Bruce. And I mentioned the
- 23:33Speaker 5: website tool right there.
- 23:34Speaker 3: You can go in. We'll give you a KBB value
- 23:38Speaker 3: right up front, and it was really easy to get
- 23:41Speaker 3: the product gives you an estimate of what it would
- 23:44Speaker 3: be worth, your value, and then we take it from
- 23:46Speaker 3: there and Brust will evaluate your vehicle come to you
- 23:50Speaker 3: if necessary, or you can bring the vehicle into us.
- 23:53Speaker 3: And you know, sometimes we don't even have to see
- 23:55Speaker 3: the vehicle. If we can get enough pictures and good
- 23:59Speaker 3: information from you to make sure that we know what we're.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Getting, it's it's a good process and we get you
- 24:08Speaker 5: in and out, you know. That's kind of one of
- 24:10Speaker 5: the things that we do well, whether whether it's buying
- 24:15Speaker 5: a car or selling a car.
- 24:16Speaker 3: We let me focus on that. But I you know,
- 24:19Speaker 3: we also see many of our customers don't want to
- 24:23Speaker 3: rush this, right I mean, and that's another thing. We're
- 24:25Speaker 3: really comfortable with the pace. You know, if this is
- 24:29Speaker 3: if you're not ready or if we have to find
- 24:31Speaker 3: the right one for you, we'll take our time. And
- 24:35Speaker 3: this is another thing sometimes you don't get everywhere, is
- 24:38Speaker 3: patience in the buying process and giving you the space
- 24:42Speaker 3: to go.
- 24:42Speaker 5: And part of that is our non commissioned salespeople. They
- 24:47Speaker 5: they're not like starting to death. If they don't make
- 24:51Speaker 5: a sale, they're not.
- 24:53Speaker 4: You there for your next car.
- 24:55Speaker 5: That's right exactly, look at the long term and to
- 24:59Speaker 5: help you to help answer your technical questions, not to
- 25:03Speaker 5: not to push a car.
- 25:05Speaker 4: So smart because they know everything well.
- 25:08Speaker 3: It's about training, it's about having a supportive, great place
- 25:11Speaker 3: to work. So if they want to put the time
- 25:13Speaker 3: in to to learn that stuff and take care of
- 25:17Speaker 3: their customers. They know it. That's the key to take
- 25:19Speaker 3: it to serving their people.
- 25:21Speaker 5: And yes, there is a lot of training that goes on,
- 25:24Speaker 5: so it's constant.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, when we bring on new people. It often takes
- 25:29Speaker 3: the almost a full year to get through Toyota certification
- 25:32Speaker 3: and it can be a it's a really grueing process
- 25:37Speaker 3: where you do live and online training pretty much some
- 25:43Speaker 3: kind every week. There's great resources, and you know, but
- 25:47Speaker 3: with all the different models and trim levels and everything,
- 25:50Speaker 3: there's just a lot of information. And Toyotoa's always putting
- 25:53Speaker 3: new technology in their vehicles and they try to stay
- 25:57Speaker 3: up on that. And then our service technicians do the
- 25:59Speaker 3: same thing, of course, and you know, they have to
- 26:02Speaker 3: spend hours a year training and learning how to fix
- 26:05Speaker 3: your vehicle and make make sure it's maintained and operates
- 26:09Speaker 3: right so you get that great life out of the vehicle.
- 26:13Speaker 3: You know, Toyota is one of those great companies to
- 26:15Speaker 3: work with. And we're really PLoud to be the oldest
- 26:18Speaker 3: Toyota dealer in the state of Oklahoma. And you don't
- 26:20Speaker 3: look that old. No, I was just seven when we
- 26:24Speaker 3: got the Toyota.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Franch We had a Toyota tricycle.
- 26:29Speaker 3: No, and you know that's uh that was a few
- 26:32Speaker 3: years ago in nineteen sixty eight. My grandfather got the
- 26:35Speaker 3: Toyota franchise and we are now the oldest in the
- 26:37Speaker 3: state and uh, you know, really excited about our opportunities
- 26:43Speaker 3: right now and going forward, and so much good stuff
- 26:47Speaker 3: going on at the dealership. As we've been talking all day.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Before we wrap up, I do want to mention Hops
- 26:53Speaker 3: for Hope again to Ronda and the team at Ray
- 26:56Speaker 3: of Hope Advocacy Center. Good luck this weekend. You know,
- 27:00Speaker 3: let's raise lots of money, have lots of fun at
- 27:03Speaker 3: the fifteenth annual Oil Hops for Hope out at the
- 27:06Speaker 3: airport on Saturday night. I think there's only a few
- 27:09Speaker 3: tickets left that yeah, so.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Make sure you ask if you want to.
- 27:14Speaker 3: You know, I look this morning and online it said
- 27:17Speaker 3: there were thirteen tickets left, so not many left and
- 27:24Speaker 3: it's a lot of fun. Check that out, folks, and
- 27:29Speaker 3: check out checkout dungeons to dot com.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Come and see us this afternoon from four to six
- 27:35Speaker 5: and grab a candy bar.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Lots of month end deals today.
- 27:38Speaker 4: And see the salesman from nineteen seventy eight.
- 27:40Speaker 3: And next week we'll have the Barsville Art Association out
- 27:43Speaker 3: for their six by six event, which is cool. That
- 27:46Speaker 3: is cool, one of their first big fundraising events that
- 27:50Speaker 3: they've had. And you know, great great organization does so
- 27:53Speaker 3: much great stuff in our community. Oh Man. As always,
- 27:57Speaker 3: we're glad to help. And if you need something from us, anything, transportation,
- 28:03Speaker 3: just a good idea you want to chat chat about.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I love those inspirations and when you want to have
- 28:08Speaker 3: something to you want to get started. That's that's what
- 28:11Speaker 3: we'd like to do. Sparking something, sparking something.
- 28:15Speaker 4: There you go, Where can we find you.
- 28:17Speaker 3: We're at nineteen eleven Southeast Washington Boulevard or online at
- 28:21Speaker 3: Dungeustoyota dot com.
