Wilmington is honoring skate legend Alec Chambers with a brand-new name for his favorite spot — The Alec Chambers Skate Park — set for a heartfelt dedication on August 21st at 2 p.m. Once known as Greenfield Grind, this park was where Alec built his skills and forged lifelong bonds with the community. After his tragic death last December, friends, family, and fellow skaters rallied to rename it, amassing over 6,800 petition signatures that moved city leaders to act.
