- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Help help help people in their lives.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I just hosted a show.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Produced and hosted a show at Brew Kaipa in U Kaipa.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And there was a guy there in the front.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: He was by himself.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: And I I was gonna say something about him being alone, but for some reason I just had this inkling, like don't do that.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Don't say something about him being alone.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Just just leave it alone, actually.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: And I did.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I left it alone.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I never said anything about him sitting by himself.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: I had like this whole thing I was gonna say, because there was a guy that looked like an oil tycoon, and he was sitting at a table with three women, and I was gonna say something about like, oh, you know, you if you if you're by yourself, like this oil tycoon, you know, he has a extra women, you know, if you if you want one.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say, you know, it's just a little stupid, and I was like, nah, this is stupid.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: You ever do that where you stop yourself and you're just like nah, that's freaking stupid.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Like, just don't say that.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I'm getting a little upset right now because I'm passing by gas stations, and I just see the gas prices, and I'm just like, oh yeah, that freaking sucks.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And I just remember why I just I know how much this is gonna cost me later to get gas.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And it sucks.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: It really stinkin' sucks.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: It's gonna cost like a hundred dollars to fill up my tank.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Feel yes, getting back to what I was saying, um there was a that gentleman that was sitting, and he he was laughing, he was a great audience member, fantastic audience member, and I I went up afterward to everybody, and I would just thank them for coming to the show.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: The show was very successful, you know.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Last time we had 90 people, but it was a free show, and then we asked for donations, we didn't get too much, we only got like 200 bucks, and so this time the owners were like, hey, let's do it paid.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah, let's do it.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So this is a paid show, and we still got 40 plus people, and I was like, freak yeah, let's go! Like, this is so sick.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And I was going up to people afterwards, like, hey, thank you guys so much for coming.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: This is so awesome! Like, please let the venue know if you had a good time so that I can continue doing these shows, and then eventually, I you know, I got to him and I was like, dude, thank you so much for coming.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Dude, dude, that was so great! Like, you were so funny.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Hey, thanks, man, I appreciate you.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Which, by the way, if you guys say stuff to us like that after a show, it does mean a lot because we do work hard to get funny, we do work hard on jokes and all that stuff, so that's pretty cool.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Uh excuse me.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And he was like, hey man, let's get a picture together.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: And I was like, freak yeah, let's go.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: So we took a picture, and he's like, Um, hey, have you have you ever performed?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Like, do you perform at any clubs?
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah, and he's like, Have you ever done the Ontario Improv?
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: I was like, Yeah, I'm I'm actually getting uh I just got booked there, you know, in a couple weeks.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: And he goes, dude, I'm gonna buy a ticket, I'm gonna go.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And I was like, freak yeah, and he goes, dude, you you got a new fan.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: He's like, uh, I'm I'm definitely gonna go.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, dang, that's like really freaking cool.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And then you know, oh yeah, I I freaking we follow each other on Instagram, blah blah blah, right?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, he posted a thing that he was like celebrating I shouldn't say celebrating.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: That's bad, that's that's the wrong word.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: He was doing like a he was remembering his dad, because his dad had passed, and it was his dad's birthday.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And so he had messaged me that he wanted to like you know, ha have a good laugh, you know, before the end of the night, instead of feeling like sad and stuff.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: He he wanted a he wanted to laugh, so he came out to a comedy show, just just solo dolo.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, he just he wanted he wanted to laugh.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: He wanted to remember his dad and laugh.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I was like, man, that's so freaking that's so awesome.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: It's so awesome.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: You know, there's so many people in the world that you know are just are going through a hard time.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: This is the times are tough.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Financially, they're tough.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: We already talked about the gas prices, right?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: It's in Yukaipa, where it's generally not that bad, but it's six dollars a gallon.
- 6:23unknown: I'm like, fake.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Six dollars a gallon, fake.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Financially, I think people are very stressed out right now.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Everything is very expensive, and people are also just going through hard times with with death and and all kinds of stuff, and so yeah, to be able to bring a smile to that guy's face, to be able to you know put on a show that that he enjoyed and and have him, you know, have that kind of response.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Dude! I loved it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: That was great.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So shout out that guy.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna say his name on here, but dude, freaking shout out, dude.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Appreciate you, man.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for coming out to the show.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Hope to see you many more times at shows.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Laughing, you know, because I'm sure that's what your dad would have wanted.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Is you to continue living your life to the fullest, laughing, just being absolutely uh craziness.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just just living life and and laughing, all that stuff.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: I'm sure that's what he would have wanted for you.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I'm not good at this stuff.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes I feel like the words come to me, and then other times it's like I maybe I'm saying too much to a person who's dealing with a lot of things right now.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Not that they're necessarily listening, just you know, I I just like got caught in a moment right now where I was just like, frick, what if he listens to this and I'm like saying these things?
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: What if I say the wrong thing?
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just like frick, uh so uh what's the weather look like next week?
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Uh frickin' you know, just freaking goofy stuff like that.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to rain today.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to rain today.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Rain is interesting in California.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: I've probably talked about this before, but this being the car Medib podcast, freaking drivers in California literally just stop.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Why is it the first day when it begins raining, there's just like 50 accidents on every freeway.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Why the fick is nobody ever ready for the rain?
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Why is that like okay, nobody has good tires?
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Go back to the finance thing.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Everybody has bad wipers, nobody has the right tires, everybody's slipping and sliding everywhere.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: There's accidents everywhere, just everywhere.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: My brother just got into an accident and it messed up his car, and then I guess the driver was like, Oh man, I don't have insurance.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: It's like frick, well that sucks.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Now now I have to beat you up and take your home and your wife and children.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Um but so I guess it turned out he did have insurance, but it was motorcycle insurance.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: It's like, brother, you're not on a bike.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: You know, you're in a car.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Do you feel anything between your legs?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: You're not sitting on a motorcycle, buddy.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: You're in a car, buddy.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And so.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I just California drivers in the rain are just, they're another breed.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: I feel like if you normally go 70 on the freeway, and then it starts raining, for some reason in California you start going 75.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I don't get it.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I think I think we like the way the rain looks on the freeway when we're just all freaking zooming.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It just looks like all of us are just walking on water.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Like we're all just freaking just like jet skiing on the freeway.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Like we're out on the lake, and you're just like frig.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Or what is that?
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: It's like a sea do?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Which is the one that spits water out the back?
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Which is the which is the one that has the waterrilla?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: It's got water diarrhea.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Which one?
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Is that the sea do?
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: I think it's a sea dude.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Frig, I don't have money! I don't have any money.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: I grew up poor, I don't remember what this stuff is.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: My some of my family had like jet skis or sea-dus or something.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: I think we rode like twice, maybe, at the river, Colorado River in Arizona, but like we didn't own anything like that.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: I've never owned anything like that.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I've never my family's never had that, you know, other than my extended family, but you know.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: I think it's a sea dude.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's just like you're freaking spitting water everywhere out the back.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Is that why we drive so fast in the rain?
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: We just love the way it looks, just freaking just and you just like you get that rush, you know, when you start hydroplaning.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: You get that rush.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: That that feeling is the same feeling like when you get pulled under by a waves in the ocean.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: You're just like frighten, and then you come out and you're just like, man, I bet this looks so good.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: And you come out and you're just like a dog panting or something.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Just me?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: No, frick, you guys then.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: No, I don't mean that.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did California drivers in the rain freaking suck.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: They freaking suck.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Um to other stuff.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Other comedy stuff.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Uh I kinda already announced that I'm taking over the booking for Above the Iron Comedy Club.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I I'm just about finished booking all of November and December, which is pretty cool.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Uh, a lot of opportunities coming up with festivals and showcases for me to get on a bunch, if not all, or almost all, of the comedians locally locally, locally, I.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: You know what it be you know what it do could.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Uh so that's pretty cool.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: I'm excited about that.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Uh it's just it's a cool opportunity, and I'm grateful for Frank for bringing me on and allowing me to help the the club by bringing out some some cool talented people I know.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: And I hope that the club just continues to be successful and that he continues to be successful in his own life, and um, it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be a good time.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: So if you're looking to get booked at the show, if you're a comic that listens to the pod, if you're looking to get booked for a show, reach out, DM me.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: You know, uh don't don't bug me like crazy, please.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: But yeah, reach out to me, DM me.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm I'm trying to to give everybody opportunities to to be able to get on showcases and and and to to be able to get into opening or or whatever it is, whatever level you're at.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: So yeah, we doing it.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: We out here, we doing the thang, we doing the thang thang.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: I don't know why this bothers me so bad, but I'm just I'm really getting tired of seeing posters for movies that have already been released.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: And then they're like, you know, oh, it's the 20th anniversary of the 25th anniversary or the 40th anniversary, or the 50th anniversary.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying?
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: It'll be like I just saw one for the movie The Prestige.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: You guys remember the Prestige Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman in a in a movie about magicians trying to outdo each other?
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Magicians trying to outdo each other.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: How did he do the trick?
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: How did he do that trick?
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: What technology was he using to pull off that trick?
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Frickin' boss! How did he do it?
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Did he or did he not chop off his own fingers?
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: So that he could do the trick?
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: These are the questions.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: If you haven't seen the movie, watch the movie.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: I I guess if you haven't seen the movie, you can freaking watch it in theaters, I guess.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: But I'm like, Fic! I thought it was a part two.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: I was flipping.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: I was like, yo! Prestige 2?
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: And then it was like, oh, it's the 20th anniversary.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Fic 20th anniversary?
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And you're putting it back in the theaters?
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I didn't know the prestige was so prestigious.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Like, I understand when it's like Star Wars gets put back in there because they'll make another 200 million.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: But what's the prestige making?
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Is the prestige making you know a couple mil?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: 50 mil?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Guess we'll freaking find out because it's coming to theaters near you.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Ladies and gentlemen, theaters near you.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: If you haven't seen it, go see it.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: It's been out for 20 years.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: For real.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: For real.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: I I drive to work, you know, because I'm obviously I'm on my way to my job.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Like I when when do you stop saying new job when you get a new job?
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: We'll talk about that in a second.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: I'm driving to my new job, and this one exit you have to get off at because the other exits are so AV.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: This is the exit that takes me exactly where I need to go.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: It's always so busy.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Like, I'll leave, and it and it takes me like just over 20 minutes to get to work every day.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Not bad.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: But like I could spend 20 minutes on just this off ramp.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: And it's not I'm not exaggerating.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: So I have to leave like at five to get to work at six because I'm scared of this off ramp.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Pisses me off.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And it's also crazy too because it's one of those lanes, it's like a three-lane.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: So obviously the left and the right lane turn left and right, and the middle one goes straight left or right.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: But why do people make it so weird when you're turning left?
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Or you're turning right, and they like cut in front of you.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: He's like, brother.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Buddy.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: I get the outside lane, bud.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Isn't somebody calling you bud in real life?
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Like so and something.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Does he call you bud?
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: If it's like a dude and he calls you bud, it's like I'm not your not your freaking bud.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Bud?
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Not your freaking bud?
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: What am I?
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: A flower?
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Freaking bud?
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: A lot of random thoughts.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: And I'm also tired.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: I'm freaking exhausted.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: I'm probably gonna finish the rest of this pod on the way to above the iron tonight.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I'm gonna be able to to to record another 12 minutes.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I might take a I might take a little nap.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Probably going to work.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Because if the exit isn't that busy, like right now, it wasn't that bad, and I just was able to get off, and everything I said basically didn't come true at all.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Now I'm here way early, and I could just friggin' sleep in the car for 15-20 minutes and then go into work.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And still be in early, you know, because I'm I'm way early.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: I feel like there were so many little tangents I went on.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: I don't remember how to how to get back.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: How do you how do we get how do we get back to where we were?
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: I've grown so much as a person.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: In five minutes, you know, I don't remember how to get back.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Um prick.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: We'll just move on.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: It's not like I have a script or anything for this show.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: I just come up with everything off the dome.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Off the dome.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Um I feel like this is gonna bother me though, because I was trying to finish saying something.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Frick! Don't remember.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: I'm keeping it in.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: I'm keeping it in.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: I don't give a frick.
- 19:04unknown: I'm keeping it in.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Um alright, moving on.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: I think oh, the movies! Ah, yes.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Ha ha ha ha ha! Make that little brain work.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: I got a brain.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: The movies that get re-released after you know, or re-released celebrating anniversaries.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: It's just like as I said, I can understand like Star Wars or something.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Something that I'm gonna want to take people to go see again.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Or like, if if I've had kids that haven't seen it, and I saw it, and I'll be like, oh kids, I saw this in the movie theater too, so you should see it.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: But like, I'm not gonna take my kids to go see the prestige.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: I guess it's 20.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's a 20-year-old that was born the same year The Prestige came out, and then a parent is like, hey, we like this movie, let's go see the Prestige, and you're like, oh, that's kinda cool.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: But you're always gonna look at it, they look at that movie like it's freaking black and white to me.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: If my mom said, hey, let me go see freaking the Andy Griffiths movie, I would look at that the same way that this that that 20-year-old looks at the prestige.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Like, oh wow, they didn't have 8K.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: What the frick?
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Hugh Jackman is in a movie that doesn't have 8K?
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: What's wrong with him?
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Why is that movie not an 8K?
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm about to go to work.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Let me take a little nap and then we'll resume after work on our way to above the oven.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we are back.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: We're back at it again.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, okay, is it working?

- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Comedy Central is back and selected a few people, like 10, I think maybe 12 people, to film a Comedy Central stand-up special.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: And he was one of those people that got picked for that.

- 22:26SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be an amazing time.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be an amazing show.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: I'm super excited about that.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Sweet.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Other things.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Yes, we just did the open mic there.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Open mics are cool.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Uh and they're not at the same time.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: You know, it's so cool when you see somebody who's been writing, uh, you know, and they just like hit something that's funny.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And then you see some other people that come dressed like Dracula.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, you see other people that come dressed like Dracula, and not only was he dressed like Dracula, he had a speaker, a Bluetooth speaker, around his neck with a phone up his sleeve to play with no words, just the audio only, of bad guy from Billie Eilish.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: You know the boop boop boop boop br.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: And he was changing up the lyrics to be Vlad Vlad Blah.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: And it was it was amusing, it was entertaining.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: That's what it was.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: It was amusing and it was entertaining, and I'm glad I saw it.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Really glad I saw it.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: And then you have other people that go up there and there's penises are big.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm not saying we had anybody do stuff like that.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you guys, come on, freaking, try a little bit, you know.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: Sometimes some people gotta try.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: Some people gotta try.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: You know, but I saw a lot of funny people, a lot of funny people, a lot of funny comics.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm excited to start giving out some freaking spots.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: For sure, yeah.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Um, do have uh multiple opening spots and features and things that are about to get booked.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: So if you're comic listening, you know what it is, you know what time it is.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I am super excited uh as well because I just got paid.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: You know, just got paid.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: Holla, two days early, get it, get it, two days early.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: That's what I got.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: I got it two days early.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: What the fick?
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Thank God for direct deposit.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Am I right?
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: I don't like picking up your check from work, you know, because picking up your check is like a fun moment, and I don't want to have fun at work.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: I don't want to have fun at work.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: You think I want to look at my check that I'm excited that I have and then put it in in my pocket or put it in a locker or put it in a bag somewhere in my desk?
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: And then work for eight hours?
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Is that what you want me?
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: No, that's not what I want to do.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I want it to be directly deposited into my bank at the exact moment I'm sitting on the toilet having my after work poo.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm depositing poo-poo in a toilet and I'm going to be looking at the deposited money in my bank.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: That is the best time for it.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Why do people drive in the slow lane and go 40 miles an hour?
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: Are you okay?
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: I still think that should be illegal.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: I understand you're in the slow lane, but 40?
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: 40?
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Come on now.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Come on now.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Cheetahs can run faster than 40.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Cheetahs.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: People that cheat, I'm just kidding.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna stop.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: But no, I'm super hyped about the upcoming Above the Iron shows.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Uh we have like November, I think it's November 6th, Friday, whatever the first Friday is of November.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: I think it's the 6th.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Frank and I are gonna do drum roll, please.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: We are gonna do a duo show, a duo headline show, where he is headlining and I am headlining.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: Hey! Hey, doing it together.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: We're gonna laugh together, we're gonna cry together, we're gonna perform together.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: Two mics, one stage, two comics, one hope.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: And that hope is that the stage is not gonna break from our big personalities.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm hinting at here, poppy, ma'am, whoever's listening.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, so that's pretty exciting.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Also, I just I just want to say thank you, guys.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: I want to say thank you.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: If you're listening to this, uh, I'm thanking you specifically.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Thank you for listening, thank you for caring, thank you for sharing, thank you for the messages, the encouragement, yeah, the patience.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: The patience, because there's been times where things have been tough and things have been a struggle, and I I think to myself, you know, you get in that rut where you don't, you know, bring any content out, and and you think to yourself, well, I can't I can't bring content out now that I've fallen behind because nobody's gonna want to hear it, and nobody's gonna want to listen, and nobody's gonna want to support you because you're just not good enough.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: You're just not, you know, um relevant anymore.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: You're not you're not funny enough.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: There's other people that put out content while you weren't, that were funnier, and everyone's gonna watch them, and they're not gonna watch you because you are what used to be, you know, and and by used to be I mean like, you know, I had you know 50 viewers, 70, 60, 70 viewers, you know, on my stuff.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: And you know, there's those thoughts that come into your mind that's just like it makes it so much easier.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: You try to start justifying yourself like, oh, I could just I could just not do this anymore.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: I could just not do clips, I could just not do social media.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: You realize and I've realized that you gotta just be able to give yourself a little bit of grace.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Give yourself a little bit of grace.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: And so I I started this pod back up because I really enjoyed it and I really liked it.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: And you guys are blowing it out of the park.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was seeing views on my old episodes even when I was off for a week, and in the new guys episode, or the new episodes that dropped, you guys are listening to.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: And I just thank you guys so much.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Out of the many dozens of people that listen to this pod every single week, I just want to say thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Carmedians for life.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: I love you guys.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: You're amazing.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being so supportive of me, of my dreams, of what I'm doing, and I hope you get nothing but good things, you know.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: For Christmas, obviously, because we're celebrating our dear Lord Jesus, Jesus, baby Christ, you know, because that's that's the Christmas, that's the Christmas Christ.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, that's about it.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: That was episode 21.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: I have some really cool guests coming up that I'm excited about.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Episodes that aren't gonna take as long as Melissa.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Uh 21.5 will be out later this week.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: And 22 will be a really, really cool episode with a cool guest.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: So we'll see you then.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Alright, goodbye.
