- 0:06Speaker 2: A woman shot and killed in Times Square by police
- 0:09Speaker 2: after she had stabbed two people. She had two knives.
- 0:13Speaker 2: One person died. The other was very seriously injured. Police
- 0:17Speaker 2: did tase the woman. She was running at them with
- 0:19Speaker 2: two knives and she was shot. And as I said,
- 0:23Speaker 2: she died later at the hospital. This happened right at
- 0:27Speaker 2: 41st Street and 7th Avenue in the middle of the afternoon.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Outdoor dining is going to be allowed in New York
- 0:32Speaker 2: City all year long. Mayor Mondani has signed the bill
- 0:35Speaker 2: into law. Path train riders, if you're still using MetroCards
- 0:40Speaker 2: or SmartLink cards, they're not going to work as of today,
- 0:43Speaker 2: September 1st. That's for Path trains. You can still use
- 0:46Speaker 2: the MetroCard for Transit Authority, but right now for Path,
- 0:51Speaker 2: you have to use the new TAP card, T-A-P-P, or
- 0:54Speaker 2: use your phone.
- 0:54Speaker 1: What about tokens? I've got a few tokens left.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Good luck finding a slot. President Trump will be meeting
- 1:01Speaker 2: with U.S. oil refineries and fuel distributors today looking for
- 1:04Speaker 2: ways to lower gas prices. Trump is looking to push
- 1:07Speaker 2: down gas prices ahead of the midterm elections as polls
- 1:10Speaker 2: show growing voter concern about the cost of living. In sports, baseball,
- 1:15Speaker 2: Mets beat the Rays 3-2. Yankees lost to the Angels 10-1.
- 1:19Speaker 2: And pet owners must really enjoy this feature, AI, where
- 1:24Speaker 2: they can ask questions about their pets. And the most
- 1:27Speaker 2: popular pet questions have been, Can pets see ghosts? Do
- 1:32Speaker 2: dogs know that they're dogs? I always think that's interesting.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And is my pet jealous?
- 1:38Speaker 1: This is what we're hitting up ChatGPT about?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Making good use of ChatGPT, yes.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I don't know the answer to any of those questions.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I do think they see ghosts, though, if I had
- 1:47Speaker 1: to guess. Don't you think?
- 1:48Speaker 2: I mean, they are always looking at stuff that we
- 1:50Speaker 2: don't see. They hear things in the walls that we
- 1:54Speaker 2: can't hear.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It reminds me of when we get the pet psychics...
- 1:59Speaker 2: And they say these are the questions they're asked, too. Like,
- 2:02Speaker 2: does my pet like his or her name?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Or their food.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Do they like their food? But I love that. Does
- 2:07Speaker 2: my dog know that they're a dog? Because I always wondered,
- 2:09Speaker 2: does Archie know that he's a cat and he's different?
- 2:11Speaker 2: And if he encountered a dog, what would he make
- 2:14Speaker 2: of it?
- 2:14Speaker 1: That's a great question. Like, are they walking around going,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm a cat, I'm a cat, I'm a cat, I'm
- 2:18Speaker 1: a cat? Or do they think they're us?
- 2:19Speaker 2: I don't know. Or they think we're cats.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I have no idea. We love our
- 2:23Speaker 1: animals around here, that's for sure.
