- 0:31I Hate Talking: Welcome to episode 89 of I Hate Talking.
- 0:34I Hate Talking: Hi everyone.
- 0:35I Hate Talking: So we are back with a full episode and we will jump right into our word or phrase of the episode, and that word is the word a plum.
- 0:47I Hate Talking: A plum, a plum.
- 0:49I Hate Talking: -- It sounds -- British.
- 0:51I Hate Talking: I think it might be.
- 0:52I Hate Talking: It actually might be somehow related to a British etymology, but we'll get to that momentarily.
- 0:59I Hate Talking: Now, the reason that this came up as a word or phrase of the episode is that whenever I encounter a word that I've never seen before, it does interest me, and this was a particular word that was used from a friend in a text message.
- 1:15I Hate Talking: And I, it was a very appropriate word to use, but I had to actually look it up.
- 1:20I Hate Talking: So that will become our word or phrase of this episode is the word a plumb.
- 1:26I Hate Talking: Can you use it in context so I can guess what it means?
- 1:29I Hate Talking: I suppose so.
- 1:30I Hate Talking: Let me see if I can read the text message, and that will give us the context.
- 1:36I Hate Talking: So this particular text message reads, while I've never been a cub master, I know that it is insanely difficult, and you handled it with a plumb.
- 1:48I Hate Talking: Oh wow, that's very different context than I would have guessed.
- 1:53I Hate Talking: Yes.
- 1:54I Hate Talking: And nothing against this person.
- 1:56I Hate Talking: I thought it was a typo typo when I first read it.
- 2:01I Hate Talking: It did, yes.
- 2:02I Hate Talking: So I looked it up and saw that it was a word and it's a very appropriate word.
- 2:07I Hate Talking: Yeah, good for him.
- 2:08I Hate Talking: OK, so, I mean, given that context, I mean, it must mean like a good job or something like that.
- 2:18I Hate Talking: Yes, so, from our favorite Oxford language dictionary, it gives one definition of a plum as a noun, and it is defined as self-confidence or assurance, especially when in a demanding situation.
- 2:38I Hate Talking: OK.
- 2:39I Hate Talking: So the particular example that the Oxford Language Dictionary gives is she passed the test with a plumb.
- 2:47I Hate Talking: So just, yeah, having, doing a good job, but being confident that you will do a good job or that you did do a good job.
- 2:53I Hate Talking: Yes, and especially in a demanding situation.
- 2:56I Hate Talking: So, that is a specific thing.
- 2:59I Hate Talking: That a plum applies to is that you're not just self-confident or self-assured in a normal everyday situation, but when these demanding situations present themselves, that you act with a plum.
- 3:14I Hate Talking: So some similar words are poise or self-assurance and self-confidence, so that is the word a plumb.
- 3:23I Hate Talking: Cool It reminds me, can I self-indulge for a quick second?
- 3:29I Hate Talking: Cause I haven't told you this.
- 3:30I Hate Talking: That someone reminded me today at a play date that this was said last week about me and I was like, oh yeah, and it reminds me of that.
- 3:39I Hate Talking: I said, cutting into the conversation of the text message I got where it says, you're always up for an adventure.
- 3:47I Hate Talking: That's one thing I love about you.
- 3:49I Hate Talking: You don't back down from any adventure and you run straight into it head first with your hair perfectly curled and a smile on your face.
- 3:57I Hate Talking: That made me so happy.
- 3:59I Hate Talking: Yeah, I think that's a very apt description I like doing a lot.
- 4:03I Hate Talking: Tackle new adventures and new situations, indeed.
- 4:08I Hate Talking: So would a plum always be in the positive?
- 4:12I Hate Talking: Or would there be times that you'd be confident in a hard situation?
- 4:17I Hate Talking: That's not positive, because you can be confident.
- 4:21I Hate Talking: And still really screw up or not know what you're doing.
- 4:25I Hate Talking: So, I suppose we can look at the etymology and that may answer a little bit of the question.
- 4:33I Hate Talking: It does seem that some of the additional extended definitions refer to complete and confident composure, self-assurance, or poise, especially when handling difficult or demanding situations with coolness and grace.
- 4:47I Hate Talking: So it does seem that this is not like a false self-confidence, but that it's actually a Real self-confidence that you're handling the situation appropriately and well, even though it may be difficult, and you're doing so with composure and confidence.
- 5:06I Hate Talking: OK.
- 5:07I Hate Talking: So, this actually comes from the French.
- 5:10I Hate Talking: And it is from.
- 5:14I Hate Talking: The French word a plumb, which is according to the plumb line.
- 5:20I Hate Talking: So basically, if there is a plumb line that is going to be perfectly balanced because it is going to hang directly straight towards the center of the earth based on gravity.
- 5:31I Hate Talking: Which is actually not true because the spin of the earth will actually change the angle of a plumb line very, very small amount.
- 5:43I Hate Talking: So that was one of the particular questions that stumped many, many engineering and physics majors in my college coursework.
- 5:52I Hate Talking: What question?
- 5:53I Hate Talking: Like you're, the question was something about how, like if you were at this point on the Earth, and it's spinning, that based on the centrifugal force of the earth and the acceleration of gravity, how much of the plumb line is displaced by the centrifugal force.
- 6:15I Hate Talking: And not hanging straight towards the center of the earth based on gravity.
- 6:20I Hate Talking: So, Like when you take a bucket full of water and then you spin it and the water falls out.
- 6:28I Hate Talking: If you put a strain in the middle.
- 6:31I Hate Talking: Theoretically, the string would stay in the middle when you spin it also.
- 6:36I Hate Talking: Is that what the idea is, but it doesn't, it moves a little bit.
- 6:39I Hate Talking: Well, I think that's an example of centripetal force, not centrifugal force, but the plumb line is a tool that is used by Masons or other construction trades where you basically take a small bit of weight, usually a metal weight, hang it from a line or string, and when you place that line or string from the top of the wall, that weight will hang straight down, so it gives you basically a straight edge or a line in order to build the wall or construct whatever you are constructing.
- 7:20I Hate Talking: Oh, OK, I picture that.
- 7:22I Hate Talking: Yes, so the spin of the earth actually displaces that plumb line an infinitesimal amount.
- 7:30I Hate Talking: It does not really matter for bricklaying or mason or other construction projects, but that was the question in our physics book.
- 7:38I Hate Talking: Oh.
- 7:39I Hate Talking: So that was a bit of an aside, but the plumb line is where the word a plum or and then became used in the English as a plum.
- 7:50I Hate Talking: is from the plumb line, and this is based on the fact that the French use that term as basically a term that meant according to the plummet.
- 8:05I Hate Talking: Which connects to the idea of being perfectly upright and balanced.
- 8:10I Hate Talking: So when you are acting with this self-assurance or confidence that you are perfectly upright and balanced.
- 8:17I Hate Talking: So, again, these are all positive things.
- 8:19I Hate Talking: So I think a plumb would be used primarily and perhaps exclusively in the positive.
- 8:26I Hate Talking: OK, yeah.
- 8:27I Hate Talking: So that was our interesting vocabulary word of this particular episode from that particular text message.
- 8:35I Hate Talking: A plum.
- 8:36I Hate Talking: Nice.
- 8:37I Hate Talking: So speaking of perfectly upright and poised, I did my best to stay perfectly upright and poised during pies in the face.
- 8:48I Hate Talking: So that is a particular annual tradition that we do at our particular Cub Scout pack that for scouts that sell a certain amount of fundraising product that if they achieve that threshold, they are.
- 9:09I Hate Talking: gifted the opportunity to pie the cubmaster and the assistant cubmaster, or I guess not both.
- 9:16I Hate Talking: This year we made them choose one or the other.
- 9:19I Hate Talking: And They get to enjoy that as fruits of their labor in terms of performing all their fundraising efforts.
- 9:27I Hate Talking: Right, OK, so we haven't gotten to talk about this.
- 9:29I Hate Talking: Why did you only do one this year?
- 9:32I Hate Talking: Because in the past they have gotten 2 pies, and they could do both of you or 2 on one person.
- 9:38I Hate Talking: So the primary reason is because of just the sheer number of scouts that actually achieved that threshold.
- 9:46I Hate Talking: So typically it's maybe 1015, but this year, I believe we actually had 28 individual scouts achieve that.
- 9:57I Hate Talking: So we basically did the same number of pies.
- 10:02I Hate Talking: It's just that they were distributed among a larger number of scouts.
- 10:06I Hate Talking: So the Assistant cup master and myself received probably the same number of actual pies, but it was just, like I said, spread among a greater population.
- 10:16I Hate Talking: And it's not technically pies for anyone listening who wouldn't know.
- 10:21I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 10:22I Hate Talking: What is, yes, it's not pies, but I would eat the whole fundraiser if you had like apple pie thrown in your face.
- 10:30I Hate Talking: That would, the cost of 28 apple pies would be like how much we raised.
- 10:36I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 10:37I Hate Talking: I don't think apple pies are typically what people have thrown at them, but I'd want apple.
- 10:42I Hate Talking: I'd want chocolate.
- 10:43I Hate Talking: I'd be OK with that.
- 10:44I Hate Talking: -- A chocolate -- pie.
- 10:46I Hate Talking: I don't know if you'd actually be OK with that because.
- 10:48I Hate Talking: The reason that we don't do even like just simple whipped cream is because it will in that amount sting your eyes.
- 10:59I Hate Talking: It will cause like breathing problems if you are like inhaling the whipped cream, fumes and sugars, and it will destroy clothes because of the chemical composition of the, the cream and the sugar.
- 11:15I Hate Talking: That's crazy.
- 11:16I Hate Talking: I never knew any of that, and I always wondered why you guys didn't actually use whipped cream, cause at least that is tastier.
- 11:23I Hate Talking: Yes, but also more painful and you're basically, you're going to throw away the clothes if you, if you do that.
- 11:30I Hate Talking: So we use shaving cream instead and it's I guess, I mean, I've never had the whipped cream experience, but I've heard horror stories from people that have done it that way.
- 11:43I Hate Talking: And so the whipped cream is not something we do.
- 11:47I Hate Talking: We do the shaving cream method and that seems to be a much more enjoyable experience.
- 11:52I Hate Talking: And then your clothes are even cleaner than before.
- 11:56I Hate Talking: And is it similar, cause you shave, Obviously, I don't shave my face.
- 12:02I Hate Talking: I've never had shaving cream on my face, but as you're keeping your mouth quiet and closed, as they're throwing it, I guess it's probably a similar sensation.
- 12:14I Hate Talking: As when you're shaving your beard, right?
- 12:16I Hate Talking: No, because I would take a little squirt of shaving cream and spread it gently on my cheeks and chin and facial hair areas, whereas these are plates that are being slammed into my face and ears -- and but -- you've gotten shaving cream in your mouth before, probably when you were learning to shave maybe.
- 12:39I Hate Talking: Yeah, maybe not to this extent.
- 12:42I Hate Talking: So we do wear like diving masks, so that does protect our eyes and nose, but nonetheless, some does get in one's mouth and it's not terrible, but it's not great either.
- 12:54I Hate Talking: And then your, uh, buddy at one point that got it also saying something when one got thrown at him.
- 13:01I Hate Talking: Yeah, oh no, because I think his mouth was open and I think it went all in.
- 13:06I Hate Talking: Oh my goodness.
- 13:06I Hate Talking: -- So -- it was unfortunate.
- 13:08I Hate Talking: By the end of the evening, the diving masks are basically covered and you really don't have any visual acuity at that point.
- 13:15I Hate Talking: And then in the ear is the worst.
- 13:18I Hate Talking: So you got a good one I did, I did get one that made it to the area of my ear and that was quite uncomfortable.
- 13:26I Hate Talking: And that was like the first thing that I did when I got home was take a shower and like rinse out my ear as best as possible.
- 13:32I Hate Talking: A parent asked me when that happened, they're like, is that allowed?
- 13:35I Hate Talking: I was like, well, They did it.
- 13:38I Hate Talking: Like it's kind of too late.
- 13:40I Hate Talking: Like, -- it's not -- allowed.
- 13:42I Hate Talking: It's not encouraged, but it was done and I don't think he meant it maliciously.
- 13:48I Hate Talking: It's not like he's trying to hurt you.
- 13:50I Hate Talking: There are kids and they're throwing things and, you know, I think it, I mean, it is what it is.
- 13:57I Hate Talking: It is um impressive, you're very plum.
- 14:01I Hate Talking: And so was your partner who did this, because The kids want a reaction like.
- 14:08I Hate Talking: I mean, they want a good reaction, like when your goggles are all full of the shaving cream, when you like use your fingers to like windshield wipe them off, so funny, and they laugh so much.
- 14:22I Hate Talking: So they like those kind of reactions, but I could see you getting a little frustrated, maybe a few were really hard hitters, like, oh, that was too rough, buddy, and stuff like that, but you guys are very Kind about it, and just take it no matter what.
- 14:40I Hate Talking: And then some also barely throw it at you, or like, they just barely place it like on your chest.
- 14:46I Hate Talking: And you have the same reaction for both, you know, and make it exciting for the kids.
- 14:52I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 14:54I Hate Talking: I guess that's why National Cub Scouting has banned the practice, but we still do it in secret.
- 15:00I Hate Talking: So don't tell anybody.
- 15:01I Hate Talking: OK, podcast world, do not tell anyone.
- 15:04I Hate Talking: Uh, we still do this.
- 15:07I Hate Talking: Indeed.
- 15:08I Hate Talking: I mean we do it after the event.
- 15:12I Hate Talking: It's not like a quote unquote sanctioned.
- 15:15I Hate Talking: Cub Scout thing that is actually why we do it after the event.
- 15:19I Hate Talking: So like we did for the cleanup.
- 15:21I Hate Talking: Well, I mean that is helpful too, but like we close our official Cub Scout event and then we do this as sort of a side event.
- 15:29I Hate Talking: Yeah, and I mean, I definitely could see it and you would never want to do it to a child or a younger adult like for hazing issues or anything, but there is something the kids get so excited and so motivated.
- 15:45I Hate Talking: To fundraise to pie you in the face, and it's fun because it's an entire like.
- 15:53I Hate Talking: What 4 or 5 months of this back and forth where you make a big thing about like, oh, don't, no, we're not doing that.
- 16:00I Hate Talking: And then they're like, yes, we are, and you kind of like pretend like, oh no, I forgot, and it's a real fun back and forth game with them.
- 16:09I Hate Talking: Indeed, it, it does seem to be an enjoyable thing for the 3 or 4 months that we do our fundraising and then conclude with this as sort of our capstone.
- 16:20I Hate Talking: We also do a pizza party, that's less.
- 16:23I Hate Talking: Shaving cream and.
- 16:25I Hate Talking: All that stuff, so we haven't done that yet.
- 16:28I Hate Talking: -- We have to do our -- pizza party.
- 16:30I Hate Talking: So gotta do that.
- 16:30I Hate Talking: And our kids fundraise well because it's for you.
- 16:35I Hate Talking: They get to put that in there for like family and friends, and they're very motivated then I think to help them reach their goals.
- 16:43I Hate Talking: Because they take so much pride in you being their father.
- 16:47I Hate Talking: That is true.
- 16:49I Hate Talking: That is like their quintessential pitch, yes, is that they get to pie me in the face if they reach their goals, and it does seem to motivate a lot of people to donate and -- support through -- purchases.
- 17:03I Hate Talking: So this was your 3rd year doing it, right?
- 17:05I Hate Talking: I suppose so, yeah, that sounds right.
- 17:08I Hate Talking: Is there anything that worked better or worse in those three years' experience?
- 17:14I Hate Talking: Our first year, we didn't know anything, right?
- 17:17I Hate Talking: We, the previous cub master had told you some tips.
- 17:22I Hate Talking: On like, do this and do that.
- 17:24I Hate Talking: And so we're like, oh, OK.
- 17:26I Hate Talking: And then I feel like every year, at least my prep for you has gotten better.
- 17:32I Hate Talking: Yeah, I'm trying to recall what we did 3 years ago because I do recall that like 2 years ago, I think I even wore like a trash bag and then the diving mask.
- 17:42I Hate Talking: This year, I didn't.
- 17:43I Hate Talking: I just wore the diving mask and then just had a sweatshirt and pants on.
- 17:47I Hate Talking: So, in wearing that just sweatshirt and plain pants, I think that actually made it more enjoyable for the scouts as well because they had the opportunity to like, You know, not only throw the pie at my face, but also if they missed, it landed on my clothing, which I think made it also more enjoyable for them as well.
- 18:07I Hate Talking: Yeah, here's one year.
- 18:08I Hate Talking: OK, yeah, so I didn't wear a trash bag that year.
- 18:11I Hate Talking: It was last year.
- 18:12I Hate Talking: I think it was 2 years ago.
- 18:13I Hate Talking: -- That was 2 -- years ago.
- 18:15I Hate Talking: Yeah, this last, I don't think you wore a trash bag ever.
- 18:18I Hate Talking: Well, apparently, neither did my counterpart.
- 18:20I Hate Talking: So I don't know why I'm thinking that that was a true thing, but.
- 18:24I Hate Talking: No, the last two years you wore a Santa hat, yes, I did wear a Santa hat.
- 18:29I Hate Talking: I had my elf hat this year.
- 18:30I Hate Talking: I think previous to me doing it.
- 18:34I Hate Talking: Previous people wore trash bags.
- 18:37I Hate Talking: So hopefully I set a new standard.
- 18:39I Hate Talking: The last two years you wore the same shirt.
- 18:43I Hate Talking: You did not this year, but it was also much colder.
- 18:46I Hate Talking: That's what I was most worried about and why I thought maybe you guys only did one pie a kid was because it was below freezing outside and we needed to get done quickly and the amount of just literally freezing, having shaving cream thrown at you for that extended period of time seemed unhealthy.
- 19:07I Hate Talking: I suppose so.
- 19:09I Hate Talking: Uh, it was actually warmer by the end of the event, -- but -- you wore a sweater, but it was probably the, the insulating factor of the shaving cream, I guess.
- 19:18I Hate Talking: Cause you know I'm pretty much covered by the end of it, so this year -- I think -- it's true, uh, no, I'm serious, like I think the shaving cream on my face and head actually made me warmer.
- 19:31I Hate Talking: Well, yeah, because you don't feel like the wind chill or anything like that.
- 19:36I Hate Talking: It's like an insulating thing that's over your face itself.
- 19:38I Hate Talking: No, I don't particularly remember it being too cold.
- 19:44I Hate Talking: No.
- 19:45I Hate Talking: OK, well then, there, so that's the life hack we're telling people, huh?
- 19:48I Hate Talking: Cover yourself in shaving cream when you're cold.
- 19:51I Hate Talking: I mean, it is actually a life hack, right?
- 19:54I Hate Talking: Because you're supposed to, it like blow freezing and it, particularly in wind, you're supposed to put Vaseline on your skin so that it stays warm and doesn't dry out.
- 20:04I Hate Talking: Oh, that is like a real life hack.
- 20:06I Hate Talking: So, so I guess shaving cream is a good stand-in for that as well, I guess.
- 20:11I Hate Talking: So there you go.
- 20:12I Hate Talking: All right, the temperature did not have anything to do with the Pies and the number of scouts, it was simply a lot of people and We did one each.
- 20:23I Hate Talking: OK, I believe that.
- 20:25I Hate Talking: And a fun thing for this year was because you were wearing an elf hat.
- 20:29I Hate Talking: That I don't know how it ended up getting, cause they were, the children were standing in front of you, but somehow a pie, cause again, it's a paper plate with shaving cream on it.
- 20:44I Hate Talking: The paper plates were yellow.
- 20:46I Hate Talking: Just yellow paper plates.
- 20:49I Hate Talking: And somehow that got stuck behind your elf hat I was standing up.
- 20:58I Hate Talking: And so all the kids thought it was so funny cause it looked like the sun.
- 21:01I Hate Talking: It was like setting behind your head, cause you had a big yellow plate stuck in the back of your head facing us, and I don't know how that happened.
- 21:13I Hate Talking: Yeah, I was not even aware of this until after the fact when I was like, saw the photos because I, maybe the.
- 21:21I Hate Talking: 5th or 6th pie, you really don't have a lot of situational awareness.
- 21:25I Hate Talking: So you can't see anything, you may not even be able to hear anything, and you're sort of just going with the flow at that point.
- 21:32I Hate Talking: So are you like, at that point, just kind of been like, when is this done?
- 21:37I Hate Talking: Or is it fun?
- 21:38I Hate Talking: No, it's still fun.
- 21:41I Hate Talking: Now, when our person that was proceeding over the pies said that we had extra and people could go again, I was like, no, let's, let's just end it there.
- 21:52I Hate Talking: So, that was a little bit much, but we, we made it through.
- 21:57I Hate Talking: Oh, OK.
- 21:58I Hate Talking: So you got a little bummed then when you're like, oh no, -- we're doing this -- again we're doing another round.
- 22:03I Hate Talking: No, let's just end there but it was fine.
- 22:06I Hate Talking: OK.
- 22:07I Hate Talking: So that is our routine for pie in the face for fundraising activities.
- 22:14I Hate Talking: So would you recommend it to other people?
- 22:17I Hate Talking: Like as a fun thing to do or as like an incentive to raise money?
- 22:25I Hate Talking: Sure, either one.
- 22:26I Hate Talking: So I, I mean, it does seem to be an effective way to incentivize scouts to raise money to hit that certain threshold.
- 22:33I Hate Talking: I would not choose to do that if that was not the case.
- 22:37I Hate Talking: So like this is not something I would do just for fun without some sort of benefit to the general pack and not just for the fun of the scouts.
- 22:48I Hate Talking: OK.
- 22:48I Hate Talking: So this isn't something that you find enjoyable per se, but you are happy to do it.
- 22:56I Hate Talking: For the good of the pack as a whole, yes.
- 23:00I Hate Talking: OK.
- 23:01I Hate Talking: Is there anything in the future that you would do differently?
- 23:05I Hate Talking: Mm No, I don't suppose so.
- 23:08I Hate Talking: I mean, it doesn't really bother me that it is in winter, that we do it when it's cold.
- 23:13I Hate Talking: And I think that like if people are going to take this upon themselves and like start this tradition or something, I think the critical thing is that you have to have at minimum goggles and really a full face dive mask that covers your eyes and your nose is highly recommended.
- 23:32I Hate Talking: Yeah, what would happen if it got inside your nose?
- 23:35I Hate Talking: Yeah, I mean, it would just basically be hard to breathe and It would be sort of miserable to make it to the end.
- 23:44I Hate Talking: And then I think it'd even be worse if it got in your eyes that you'd be like, yeah, you can't wash them out.
- 23:50I Hate Talking: You just have to sit there until all the pies have been thrown.
- 23:53I Hate Talking: And then that's a bummer because if you're in pain and not enjoying it, that kills the enjoyment for everyone else -- or makes it even more -- fun.
- 24:02I Hate Talking: Oh, maybe.
- 24:04I Hate Talking: But yeah, the whole windshield wiper idea is fun.
- 24:07I Hate Talking: It gets fun.
- 24:08I Hate Talking: But we always lay down like a mat, like a tarp, right, that we can clean off easily.
- 24:15I Hate Talking: To -- protect the grass or whatever and -- we're doing it outside, yes.
- 24:19I Hate Talking: A good thing that happened this year was all the pies, quote unquote pies, were already pre-made and waiting, cause past years we've done them, we've had maybe a little bit.
- 24:34I Hate Talking: Before we started, and then we're filling them while we're going.
- 24:38I Hate Talking: And it gets kind of chaotic and rushed.
- 24:41I Hate Talking: And so I appreciate that they're all there and we could just pick them up and hand them to the kid.
- 24:45I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 24:47I Hate Talking: I wanted to initially, have each child hold their pie and get around you for a photo.
- 24:54I Hate Talking: And quickly opted not to.
- 24:59I Hate Talking: I felt like they would just then just explode and it would be everywhere and on them, and everywhere else.
- 25:06I Hate Talking: So we have them stand in a line as much as we can.
- 25:10I Hate Talking: And take turns one at a time.
- 25:13I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 25:15I Hate Talking: You had that idea for this year or in previous years.
- 25:17I Hate Talking: This year, I wanted a picture of all of them with you.
- 25:19I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 25:21I Hate Talking: It is nice to have memories through photographs, but I'm of the opinion that it's better to still live in the moment and enjoy the pie and not have to worry about a photo.
- 25:33I Hate Talking: I do want chocolate pie now.
- 25:36I Hate Talking: That's what I keep thinking about since we started talking tonight.
- 25:39I Hate Talking: Yeah, I, I'm not a big fan.
- 25:42I Hate Talking: No, I mean, no, I don't think so.
- 25:44I Hate Talking: -- We can't get -- it.
- 25:45I Hate Talking: I don't think so.
- 25:46I Hate Talking: I think they're sold out.
- 25:48I Hate Talking: I don't like pie, and like if I have to have a pie, it's gonna either be key lime pie is definitely a top favorite.
- 25:55I Hate Talking: Or pumpkin pie.
- 25:57I Hate Talking: Apple pie is good too, especially a la mode, but.
- 26:00I Hate Talking: I don't like chocolate.
- 26:02I Hate Talking: And I certainly don't like chocolate pie.
- 26:04I Hate Talking: I'll get myself pie.
- 26:06I Hate Talking: And I enjoy it.
- 26:08I Hate Talking: Without you That's fine.
- 26:11I Hate Talking: All right, so maybe that will be a topic for discussion sometime in the future on living in the moment versus documenting it, as well as our favorite kinds of pies.
- 26:24I Hate Talking: Cause you certainly would not want to eat a shaving cream pie.
- 26:28I Hate Talking: Yeah, I feel like that would be bad, right?
- 26:31I Hate Talking: Yes, I think we can all agree that toxic?
- 26:33I Hate Talking: That would be terrible.
- 26:35I Hate Talking: I would imagine that probably at least that large quantity, yeah, if you had like a full plate of shaving cream, that would probably be a call to poison control.
- 26:46I Hate Talking: So if you have any particular favorite pies or an opinion on shaving cream.
- 26:53I Hate Talking: You can always let us know in a comment, text, or email, and if you did enjoy this episode, do share it with just one other person and they can enjoy it as well.
