- 0:15Speaker 1: Let's go to uh, let's go to Peter in Jersey City. Peter,
- 0:18Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Hey, Mark?
- 0:21Speaker 1: How are you?
- 0:22Speaker 3: I'm good? Thank you?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Listen, nobody, nobody would we go to the soapball issue.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Did the cops just.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Stand there and let them be assaulted? They didn't do
- 0:32Speaker 2: anything about it.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Well, they were showing restraint. You know. That's what Mark.
- 0:38Speaker 1: That's now, in the age of everybody having their phone
- 0:41Speaker 1: and video everywhere, you got to give them credit for
- 0:44Speaker 1: showing restraint. Now, the good old days, before there was video,
- 0:48Speaker 1: before there was anybody had a phone, and the good
- 0:50Speaker 1: old days, they would have responded that night sticks would
- 0:53Speaker 1: have come out and they would get as as Curtis
- 0:57Speaker 1: would say, a wooden shampoo. But you can't do that
- 1:00Speaker 1: stuff anymore. But they did show a lot of restraint
- 1:05Speaker 1: considering what happened. Let's go to Tom and point pleasant Tom.
- 1:08Speaker 3: How you doing, Yes, good morning, Mark. One of the
- 1:11Speaker 3: more noteworthy disappearance and kidnapping was Jimmy Hoffa.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Oh there you go, of course, but that's different. Those
- 1:18Speaker 1: were beyond professionals. That was the mob. They know how
- 1:20Speaker 1: to really really make somebody disappear.
- 1:23Speaker 3: But I ask you a question, mark, how do you
- 1:25Speaker 3: feel about the president selling risk watches on TV? Don't
- 1:28Speaker 3: you think that degrades the president? But I think that's a.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Little bit not at all he's got And it's not
- 1:35Speaker 1: just risk. It's okay if it's you've been doing it
- 1:37Speaker 1: all your life and for years he's been selling the
- 1:40Speaker 1: Trump hats, Trump ties, Trump stuff.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Merchandise as the president.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I mean he's just continuing what he's always done. Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: you could have. You could make the case. I mean,
- 1:50Speaker 1: you're not wrong, but I wouldn't worry about it's such
- 1:53Speaker 1: a tiny, tiny point.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I agree with that.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Have you ever gone to Trump Tower. Go to Trump Tower,
- 1:59Speaker 1: go down stairs. There's a Trumps store. They sell absolutely
- 2:03Speaker 1: everything in the world with the Trump logo on it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You'll love it. Now, some people will say it's an egomaniac,
- 2:09Speaker 1: Trump towels, Trump water Trump. Well, no, actually he's been
- 2:13Speaker 1: in the hotel business for decades and it's what you
- 2:15Speaker 1: do when you're in the hotel business. Every hotel chain,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you know, you forget Trump owns dozens and dozens and
- 2:21Speaker 1: dozens and dozens of hotels all over the world. Every
- 2:24Speaker 1: hotel chain, Ritz Carlton, Marriott four Seasons has a gift
- 2:28Speaker 1: shop where they got Ritz Carlton towels, which Riz Carlton bathrobes,
- 2:33Speaker 1: Ritz Carlton shirts, Ritz Carlton water. It's a normal thing
- 2:36Speaker 1: you do when you have a hotel chain. It's like
- 2:38Speaker 1: when he opened his own steak company. They said, what
- 2:40Speaker 1: kind of guy opened? Well, most big chains do that.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You open your own because it's too much to go into.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's a lot cheaper if you have your own steak
- 2:49Speaker 1: company instead of buying it all the time. So when
- 2:51Speaker 1: Trump probably owns, I don't know, two hundred restaurants, you
- 2:54Speaker 1: form your own steak company. Let's go to Robert and Yonkers. Robert,
- 2:58Speaker 1: how you doing, hey.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Mark Man, Danny wants the cops to quick because he
- 3:02Speaker 2: wants to put a communist patrol in there, and I
- 3:05Speaker 2: just think it's crazy. And as usual gold Buchanic.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Go, baby, there you go. You know you got to
- 3:10Speaker 1: explain that nobody remembers Pat Buchanan was a wonderful guy
- 3:14Speaker 1: a million years ago. He used to be a regular
- 3:16Speaker 1: guest on this show. Uh. In fact, he's long gone,
- 3:19Speaker 1: long forgotten. Some people have actually talked about the President
- 3:22Speaker 1: should award him one of those one of those medals,
- 3:25Speaker 1: because he was pretty good. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 3:29Speaker 1: how you doing, good morning?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Mark?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Markom Okay a gentleman who called from Jersey.
- 3:35Speaker 2: He lived in a town called I hes talking about
- 3:39Speaker 2: possums and all the.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Wildlife weg swamp. I have that. I have that kind
- 3:45Speaker 1: of problem my yard at night, my yard and the possums.
- 3:50Speaker 2: No like as the vacuum cum.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Hey, Vincent, you're you're all. It's not you. The phone's
- 3:57Speaker 1: all screwed up. It's cutting you off. But call us back.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Let's go to Peter and Flushing. Peter, how you're doing.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Mark, good morning. He used to be a police officer,
- 4:07Speaker 2: recently retired. As my heart was breaking. Well, I saw
- 4:10Speaker 2: the police, how they were being treatable. It's more heartbreaking
- 4:13Speaker 2: is how this mayor responded to that de moralize in
- 4:17Speaker 2: his police, and he's putting them in a position where
- 4:19Speaker 2: if they instinctively want to do what they need to
- 4:22Speaker 2: do and how they're trained. They won't. They have mace,
- 4:24Speaker 2: they have body cameras on that. Nobody punishes the police
- 4:29Speaker 2: harder than the New York City Police Department when they're wrong.
- 4:32Speaker 2: If these guys would have defended themselves correctly and enforced
- 4:35Speaker 2: laws and ordinances, they should have done everything possible to
- 4:38Speaker 2: cop as many people as possible. That should have been
- 4:40Speaker 2: a full blown thirteen more cops should have been there, Supervisor.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I didn't notice. I didn't see any white shirts at all.
- 4:47Speaker 2: It's just a very very weird dynamic we're living. And
- 4:49Speaker 2: I'd love to hear your opinion.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the only thing white shirts means captain's lieutenant's
- 4:55Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. Where to go? We lost them.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I think he's listening to himself. Ten thirteen is I
- 5:03Speaker 1: don't know, that's a little it's a ten eighty five
- 5:05Speaker 1: to fourth with I don't think you can call it
- 5:07Speaker 1: ten thirteen over snowballs. But no, you're absolutely right. It's
- 5:11Speaker 1: just totally totally out of it, you know. And the
- 5:13Speaker 1: other problem I'll get to listen to the next hour.
- 5:14Speaker 1: There's a bunch of studies that have come out when
- 5:17Speaker 1: you get lax on these kind of things. It eventually
- 5:20Speaker 1: gets people killed. I'll explain Hi. I mean, there's like
- 5:24Speaker 1: actual research on this, on how this changes that. Well,
- 5:27Speaker 1: we'll get to that in the next hour because when
- 5:29Speaker 1: we come back we'll talk to the great economist Steve Moore.
- 5:33Speaker 1: He'll be with us next on seven to ten wor
