- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, at least we got to be friends again. You
- 0:02Speaker 1: know before we got whacked.
- 0:05Speaker 2: We're not gonna get whacked because your chief Clancy Wigham,
- 0:09Speaker 2: and you're gonna figure a way out of this. You
- 0:11Speaker 2: have that much faith in me, No faith there is
- 0:14Speaker 2: what you have in things that don't exist.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Your awesomeness is real.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Four finger discount Ude.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Welcome too, four figure thiscamp with this week we're gonna
- 0:37Speaker 4: be reviewing Chief of Hearts.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm Dando and I am guy. Yes, welcome to the
- 0:41Speaker 2: podcast that makes Pokemon looked like Digimon.
- 0:43Speaker 4: The battle balls, battle balls, got a balls.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Something called battle balls, something along those lines, I believe. So. Yeah, look,
- 0:49Speaker 2: the B plot in this one was kind of forgettable.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Be plot didn't need to be there. How often have
- 0:53Speaker 4: we said in season twenty one, take the B plot
- 0:55Speaker 4: out and there's an A plot here that's actually be
- 0:57Speaker 4: really good.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Correct. Yeah, but why they call it the bet plo
- 1:00Speaker 2: because it doesn't have to be there.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yes, that's I've actually hate that before.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That's a good theory, is not bad.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I'm gonna run with it. I actually didn't mind this episode.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I thought that the idea of this episode is one
- 1:11Speaker 4: that I'm surprised has already been done. Just Chief Wigan
- 1:15Speaker 4: is a character we've seen so much. He's such a
- 1:16Speaker 4: pivotal part of this show. We've never really doved into
- 1:20Speaker 4: his psyche.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Not really, No, And I mean they do elucidate some
- 1:24Speaker 2: interesting thoughts about why. Look, you could talk about the
- 1:27Speaker 2: male loneliness epidemic. This is currently a hot button topic
- 1:30Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six. You know you okay, dudes don't
- 1:32Speaker 2: have friends, but yes, specifically for the cops and the
- 1:35Speaker 2: way that Clancy says, you know, ordinary people are scared
- 1:38Speaker 2: of your, criminals don't like you, and other cops won't
- 1:40Speaker 2: you just reminds you of stuff you're trying to forget.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So yeah, you can see why he would be a
- 1:45Speaker 2: lonely guy or at least longing for a friend. Even
- 1:47Speaker 2: though sort of been the lead up to this, Clars
- 1:50Speaker 2: always struck me as fairly sort of well adjusted and
- 1:53Speaker 2: happy in his relationship as well. I mean, Clancy and
- 1:56Speaker 2: Sarah always seem to have a nice sort of vibe.
- 1:57Speaker 2: That's true.
- 1:58Speaker 4: I wouldn't say he seemed to me, but the relationship
- 2:01Speaker 4: they did feel like they were simpatico.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah, see, thank you for that. That's really nice. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: you and I both know we are simps for the
- 2:11Speaker 2: women in our lives. Lovely Louis's companies pretty much all
- 2:14Speaker 2: I need. She will always say, go get other friends,
- 2:16Speaker 2: stop hanging around me. Yes, but it's good for dudes
- 2:18Speaker 2: to have dude friends as well. But you know, later
- 2:21Speaker 2: in life it can be difficult to find that. I mean,
- 2:23Speaker 2: have you found that you have made new friends? You know,
- 2:26Speaker 2: at this stage of your life. I haven't made any
- 2:28Speaker 2: new friends. I say that, pety people that listen, going,
- 2:30Speaker 2: I thought I was your friend. I've made a lot
- 2:32Speaker 2: of acquaintances, but I was a few months ago. I just,
- 2:35Speaker 2: I said, I just feel really lonely. I just feel
- 2:37Speaker 2: like I don't have any friends. I just I just
- 2:39Speaker 2: felt like I don't know. I mean, it was last year.
- 2:43Speaker 4: When my birthday came around and no one text me
- 2:45Speaker 4: on my birthday. You and my mum and Darren were
- 2:48Speaker 4: the only ones that like text me on my birth
- 2:49Speaker 4: and I was like, gosh, my friends forgot is my birthday,
- 2:53Speaker 4: which is easily done, or they just didn't give a shit.
- 2:55Speaker 2: We all say, all of us who are in our
- 2:58Speaker 2: sort of various friend groups and quaintan scripts and all
- 3:00Speaker 2: that kind of things, like, oh, we're so busy these days.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I had a get together with some of my longest
- 3:06Speaker 2: standing friends a couple of weeks ago. You know, six
- 3:08Speaker 2: of us went out for dinner. We went up to Holmle.
- 3:10Speaker 2: We drank too much beer, too much red wine. Told
- 3:13Speaker 2: the same old bullshit stories that we always tell. But
- 3:15Speaker 2: there was something really lovely about that. And that friendship
- 3:19Speaker 2: is just getting stronger and stronger over time, you know,
- 3:21Speaker 2: because we're evolving.
- 3:23Speaker 4: We're all.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Middle class, middle aged white dudes, but there's a real
- 3:30Speaker 2: sense of camaraderie and affection and wanting the best for
- 3:35Speaker 2: one another, and we're becoming more and more sort of
- 3:39Speaker 2: vocal in saying that we're men of a certain era
- 3:41Speaker 2: and we tend to be sort of hippie mate. But yeah,
- 3:44Speaker 2: we'll tell each other we love each other and we
- 3:45Speaker 2: mean it. So yeah, it's valuable, and you can see
- 3:49Speaker 2: why someone like Lancy would want something like that in
- 3:52Speaker 2: his life.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I think for me, because I've befriended a lot of
- 3:55Speaker 4: the dads of the players on Ali's footy team, so
- 3:58Speaker 4: I talked to him when I'm there at training and whatnot,
- 4:00Speaker 4: and sometimes I sort of thought I wond if I
- 4:01Speaker 4: message and said that one like hang out with that
- 4:03Speaker 4: now don't want to hang out with me. I just
- 4:05Speaker 4: I have no self esteeming it. I don't feel like
- 4:07Speaker 4: anyone would want to hang out with it.
- 4:08Speaker 2: That's just silly. First of all, well I don't know. No,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I'm not just saying that first of all. But also
- 4:14Speaker 2: it's silly, but it's not silly. I get where you're
- 4:16Speaker 2: coming from and Tyler, because oh yeah, I feel exactly
- 4:18Speaker 2: the same way. There's a difference I think between if
- 4:22Speaker 2: you say you can say, oh, someone's my friend, or
- 4:24Speaker 2: you can say I'm friendly with them. I know I
- 4:27Speaker 2: know him, yeah yeah, and it's like sorry, Now. I
- 4:30Speaker 2: do another podcast occasionally with Charlie Lawson, and for the
- 4:34Speaker 2: longest time I would say, oh, yeah, I'm friendly with Charlie. No,
- 4:38Speaker 2: I would say I was friends with Charlie, even though
- 4:40Speaker 2: when of not calling each other all the time or
- 4:42Speaker 2: anything like that, or even just checking to see how
- 4:44Speaker 2: you're doing. But I think we've evolved beyond acquaintances to
- 4:46Speaker 2: friendly to friends even if we're not best friends. So
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's it's really interesting, isn't it, Because it's almost like
- 4:55Speaker 2: being in love in a lot of ways you don't
- 4:56Speaker 2: want to be. Sometimes you do want to be the
- 4:59Speaker 2: personal says at first. But yeah, imagine saying that someone
- 5:02Speaker 2: we're friends, right, and no, really, dude, we're friendly.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I'm watching this episode here and it's like, oh, I
- 5:10Speaker 4: don't want to be Wigham. You know, we're Wigham was like, oh,
- 5:11Speaker 4: a new friend, and I don't want them to see
- 5:13Speaker 4: me the way that we Homo seas we like, Oh,
- 5:16Speaker 4: you just you're so needy. I just wanted this time
- 5:18Speaker 4: to talk.
- 5:18Speaker 2: To Yeah, give me call anytime.
- 5:23Speaker 4: But I was surprised and wasn't surprised. I got to
- 5:26Speaker 4: the end of it when I watched it the first
- 5:27Speaker 4: time and took my notes, and I was like, I
- 5:29Speaker 4: like that one. Oh it's Carolyn Amine's. She's quickly become
- 5:33Speaker 4: my favorite Simpsons writer post Golden era. I think any
- 5:36Speaker 4: episode that she does I either really enjoy. I'm like,
- 5:39Speaker 4: there was a lot here that you know, I liked. Yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 4: a few more tweeks that we've been even better. I
- 5:44Speaker 4: think for the most part, I liked this one. I
- 5:45Speaker 4: think they focused enough of the episode on the main
- 5:49Speaker 4: plot that didn't leave me going, oh, you should have
- 5:51Speaker 4: added this because we were doing the one where you
- 5:54Speaker 4: had the Mister Burns American History Excellent, where you had
- 5:57Speaker 4: mister Burns in prison, and then you had this smit's
- 5:59Speaker 4: taking over the two stories. It could have been their
- 6:01Speaker 4: own episode, and they didn't flesh them out either of
- 6:04Speaker 4: them enough because they tried to cram them both into
- 6:05Speaker 4: the same one. Correct this one here, I felt like
- 6:07Speaker 4: enough of the episode was dedicated to the Wigham one
- 6:10Speaker 4: where only really felt like they're going to the B
- 6:12Speaker 4: plot when they wanted some time to transpire.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I think so. Yeah, And look, sometimes that's what you
- 6:16Speaker 2: need in your B plot. It doesn't necessarily have to
- 6:18Speaker 2: be its own story. It can just.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Act as something's happening a.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Little bit of a distraction. It's like, and with all
- 6:26Speaker 2: fairness to the B plot in this, which is but
- 6:29Speaker 2: getting involved in the battlebles thing and must margin everyone
- 6:34Speaker 2: mistaking it for being like drugs or being a drug
- 6:36Speaker 2: deal or something like that. It's kind of one note.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's pretty much one joke, but.
- 6:40Speaker 4: It's like a scene from the Nanny King identity.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah you could, Yeah, you could just play this as
- 6:46Speaker 2: one joke in one scene and it would work fine
- 6:49Speaker 2: if you're stretching it out into maybe three or four
- 6:51Speaker 2: separate scenes, So the impact or the appeal is diluted.
- 6:57Speaker 4: For me because I like the idea that the joke
- 6:59Speaker 4: thing I'll try in a minute. But I liked the
- 7:01Speaker 4: idea of that. Carolyn, she's clearly a mum, right, A
- 7:04Speaker 4: lot of her a lot of her stories are about
- 7:06Speaker 4: her being a parent, and you know your kids go
- 7:08Speaker 4: through fads and whatnot. So this one was like the
- 7:09Speaker 4: young Digimin or Yuio cards or whatever, and obviously I'm
- 7:13Speaker 4: assuming her in real life. Carolyn mean, I said, oh,
- 7:16Speaker 4: they're cool, and the kids were like, well, now they're
- 7:17Speaker 4: not cool because my mum likes them. So I like,
- 7:19Speaker 4: I feel like I relate to her stories on my
- 7:21Speaker 4: parent now. But the idea of I think sometimes the
- 7:24Speaker 4: show forgets that Bart and Lisa are eight and ten, right,
- 7:27Speaker 4: Why would they like Skinner and charmers? For first of all,
- 7:30Speaker 4: so that's what fourth grade? I think he's dealing drugs.
- 7:33Speaker 4: The idea of a ten year old dealing drugs is
- 7:35Speaker 4: so ridiculous when you think about it, you know, But
- 7:39Speaker 4: and Lisa, the way these characters are treated these days,
- 7:41Speaker 4: they don't treat them like children anymore. They're always like
- 7:43Speaker 4: young adults when they're not young adults.
- 7:45Speaker 2: They're children. Yeah, that's yeah, or even in the other
- 7:48Speaker 2: term of younger. Oh yeah, they're not even sort of
- 7:50Speaker 2: teenagers AliOS age alien.
- 7:52Speaker 4: They are literally children, but because they have not rud
- 7:56Speaker 4: of ideas, but they've got to get them to doing
- 7:57Speaker 4: other things. It's like we see them as young adults,
- 8:00Speaker 4: our teenagers, but like the idea of a ten year
- 8:02Speaker 4: old dealing drugs at primary school, it's ludicrous, really.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It is. It is having said that's probably happening.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Hit up out yet, I've got his number. I need
- 8:15Speaker 4: a new burner. But I think the idea of Wigham
- 8:19Speaker 4: and Homer just hanging out is a fun and original
- 8:21Speaker 4: concept that surprisingly hadn't been done before.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I think they just they work well together. Well, there's
- 8:26Speaker 2: similar sort of people. They seem to be driven by
- 8:28Speaker 2: their appetites in a lot of ways. They're not necessarily
- 8:30Speaker 2: as sharp as tools in the shed. They're sentimental, big
- 8:34Speaker 2: hearted guys. Yeah, they are kind of two peas in
- 8:37Speaker 2: a pod. It's amazing that they haven't drawn them together
- 8:39Speaker 2: in this way before. But yeah, we got it in
- 8:40Speaker 2: this episode. And of course there are things that are
- 8:42Speaker 2: gonna maybe drive them apart. Although, yeah, the neediness of
- 8:47Speaker 2: Wigham as displayed in this episode, I don't think it's
- 8:50Speaker 2: anything we've ever really seen before, have we Needness?
- 8:54Speaker 4: Probably not that, I mean I.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Think occasionally all sort of second guess.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's neid of of loser paying attention or something
- 9:01Speaker 4: like that.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But yeah, so yeah, maybe the seeds have been planted
- 9:04Speaker 2: in earlier episodes and Carolyn's all about the b sharps.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's right, And Carolyn saw that and sort
- 9:10Speaker 2: of ran with it, and we could expand this into
- 9:12Speaker 2: something else, But is it a right with it?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Yeah? I just think though, if I'm going to do
- 9:17Speaker 4: a nitpick, I think maybe there should have been more
- 9:20Speaker 4: of Homer and Wigham hanging out and getting along before
- 9:23Speaker 4: he gets attacked, because it just feels like not enough
- 9:27Speaker 4: of that bond had been formed from a viewers perspective,
- 9:29Speaker 4: correct to justify why would give up all this time
- 9:32Speaker 4: and spend time with him. I mean home has actually
- 9:33Speaker 4: been really nice. Sure, all the time in the hospital
- 9:35Speaker 4: and yadda YadA, But for Wigham to then go, oh,
- 9:38Speaker 4: he's spent time with them now, it's like he only
- 9:40Speaker 4: just became friends.
- 9:41Speaker 2: They're turning it into sort of like you know the
- 9:43Speaker 2: movie The Cable Guy, Right, Yeah, it's a bit that way.
- 9:47Speaker 2: In some way, it's true. Yeah, Clancy took an inch
- 9:51Speaker 2: and and no, he was given an inch and he
- 9:54Speaker 2: took a mile perhaps.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but you're right though. I've got a couple of
- 9:57Speaker 4: friends who are officers, and the idea of you know,
- 9:59Speaker 4: I think, what does he say villians are scared of
- 10:01Speaker 4: us and other cops remind us of things we'd rather forget. Well,
- 10:03Speaker 4: that's a really great line, and it's so true because
- 10:05Speaker 4: my friends who were cops, they say, we do feel
- 10:07Speaker 4: lonely because we feel like, even when we're hanging out
- 10:09Speaker 4: with you guys, you guys are always trying to make
- 10:11Speaker 4: sure you're on your best behavior. You got your guard
- 10:13Speaker 4: up because just in case you say the wrong thing.
- 10:15Speaker 4: It's like we're not. But then I sometimes subconsciously think, well,
- 10:18Speaker 4: maybe I am. Maybe I am just careful with the
- 10:22Speaker 4: way I talk. And after they said that, I said
- 10:24Speaker 4: to I think, maybe I do. Maybe I do watch
- 10:27Speaker 4: what I say just in case, but not deliberately. Oh yeah, yeah, no,
- 10:31Speaker 4: I understand. And they see shit that no normal person
- 10:34Speaker 4: should see.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Absolutely, Yeah, like that.
- 10:36Speaker 4: You remind me of things I'd rather forget, which is
- 10:38Speaker 4: things like one of my friends is a police officer,
- 10:40Speaker 4: had to go to a fire where children passed away
- 10:43Speaker 4: and he had to literally remove the bodies from the fire.
- 10:46Speaker 4: And he's never been the same, Like you can. He's
- 10:48Speaker 4: just never been the same, of course, and that's why,
- 10:50Speaker 4: you know, being with other cops remind him of being
- 10:52Speaker 4: on the job. Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, But at the same time, you're trying and talk
- 10:55Speaker 2: about that to a civilian and it's like, well, I'm
- 10:57Speaker 2: either going to traumatize the civilian or yeah, they're not
- 11:01Speaker 2: going to bite me around for another barbecue. Whatever.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Advice if you do know a police officer out there,
- 11:06Speaker 4: my mate, he says one thing he hates is when
- 11:08Speaker 4: someone always says, what's the worst thing you've seen? Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 4: I don't want to talk about that, but that's all
- 11:15Speaker 4: people want to hear about. What's the most Like, when
- 11:16Speaker 4: you're got a friend who's a paramedic, What's what's the
- 11:18Speaker 4: worst thing you've had to do? What's worst accent you've
- 11:20Speaker 4: had to be Too's like, what would I want to
- 11:21Speaker 4: relive that?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, why don't you tell me about your father's funeral
- 11:25Speaker 2: while we're at it?
- 11:28Speaker 4: But over All, compared to recent episodes, I thought this
- 11:31Speaker 4: one had more purpose, I had.
- 11:33Speaker 2: More stronger through line. I think, yeah, look, some of
- 11:36Speaker 2: the gags were a little bit flimsy, could have been sharper,
- 11:40Speaker 2: but there was, as I am prone to say, a bit,
- 11:43Speaker 2: a lot to enjoy in this episode.
- 11:44Speaker 4: When I watched Charlyn's episodes, though, I felt like I
- 11:46Speaker 4: watched him and go, oh, I see where the mental
- 11:49Speaker 4: go for this part, because she always says there's an episode,
- 11:52Speaker 4: you know where they go to the Leper Island or whatever.
- 11:54Speaker 4: At the end of it, she's like, that's not how
- 11:55Speaker 4: I ended this episode, but that's how they insisted it ends.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And she's like, I was the episode and go, why
- 12:01Speaker 4: did we have to do the Lepard hard? You watch
- 12:03Speaker 4: it in retrospect and it doesn't work, it's not funny.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And then I'll watch her episodes and I go, I reckon,
- 12:08Speaker 4: that's a salmon gag. By the way, fun fact about
- 12:14Speaker 4: this one, this is the first episode where Lison ever
- 12:16Speaker 4: says a word I.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Knew there was. That's a terrible gag to make and
- 12:23Speaker 2: not not indicative of my personally at all. But well,
- 12:26Speaker 2: that's interesting.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Didn't say anying, no Lisa at all. Eh, my favorite
- 12:33Speaker 2: favorite moments from the episode Lisa not being in it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I thought that Clancy Wigghams technique for adding sugar was
- 12:42Speaker 2: very impressive. Yeah, Hope was not wrong. There was impressive.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I like that arriving with a thirty two piece bucket
- 12:48Speaker 4: of chicken, it was likely to forget about me that
- 12:49Speaker 4: I might want some.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Is a bullshit written in guys notes, thirty two pieces
- 12:57Speaker 2: bucket of chicken equals Dando's favorite moment. We didn't collaborate
- 13:02Speaker 2: on this at all. Came in blind. I just he
- 13:06Speaker 2: likes check it out. How can I tell you?
- 13:08Speaker 4: Especially it's Kentucky fry.
- 13:12Speaker 2: So they got the Parmi burger at the moment.
- 13:14Speaker 4: I did see that, and I was like, oh damn.
- 13:17Speaker 4: That was of the Parmi tower Berg and I was like, hot.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Damn some of that act. I thought this was a
- 13:24Speaker 2: very nice line. And I'm going to credit to Carolyn
- 13:25Speaker 2: Amine all the good stuff Karl. When they're in the
- 13:30Speaker 2: trunk together, by the way, there's the two this is
- 13:31Speaker 2: a two piece feed. By the way, They've got the
- 13:33Speaker 2: nice line. Yeah, but it's a very Carolin Amine moment.
- 13:37Speaker 2: But First of all, that scene in the trunk is
- 13:39Speaker 2: a direct tribute to one of my favorite movies of
- 13:42Speaker 2: all time. It's from out of Sight with George Clooney
- 13:45Speaker 2: and Jennifer Lopez. Ok. Yeah, there's a terrific scene where
- 13:49Speaker 2: Coloney is broken out of jail, takes j Lo hostage,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and they're in the trunk of this car and they sort.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Of have a bit of a meet cute. Why are
- 13:58Speaker 4: they're in the trunk? Have he's taken her hostage.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Because he's been broken out of jail by his a
- 14:05Speaker 2: partner in crime. So he's in there willingly. Yeah, he's
- 14:09Speaker 2: escaping willingly, and Jayala was like a federal marshal who trusted.
- 14:12Speaker 2: He tries to arrest them, except they disarmor and like,
- 14:15Speaker 2: let's get out of here, and then they start flirting
- 14:17Speaker 2: in the trunk and it's really great. Out of Sight
- 14:20Speaker 2: if you have not seen it, one of my favorite
- 14:21Speaker 2: movies of all time.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Yeah, out of Sight.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great. Well Year nineteen ninety eight, directed by
- 14:27Speaker 2: the great Steven So.
- 14:27Speaker 4: That's that's right my wheelhouse. Yeah, man, Because you watch
- 14:31Speaker 4: those films and it's just before social media, just before
- 14:34Speaker 4: technology really boom, the Internet and It's like I love
- 14:37Speaker 4: the crime thrills where they had to be cops to
- 14:40Speaker 4: solve crimes, not just reliant technology.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The afore mentioned Charlie Lawson and I we're gonna do
- 14:45Speaker 2: a podcast series about comfort movies and with sort of
- 14:48Speaker 2: sections and that one of them is like first date
- 14:51Speaker 2: movies or I've been seeing this person for a little while,
- 14:53Speaker 2: it's time from movie night. Hopefully you will like this
- 14:56Speaker 2: movie because I really like this movie and from mine,
- 14:58Speaker 2: it's out of sight. Yeah. But then after that, claims
- 15:02Speaker 2: is like, ah, how are we gonna get out of this?
- 15:04Speaker 2: And Homer says the following, faith is what you have
- 15:07Speaker 2: in things that don't exist. Your awesomeness is real word's wisdom.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I like it. Yeah, that was great. So those were
- 15:15Speaker 2: my favorite moments from this episode. There'll be more as
- 15:17Speaker 2: we go through, but that's what I like.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I like the itchy powder because least much she's found
- 15:22Speaker 4: drugs it itchi powder, but would have that. But yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 4: I also liked the reference to our Edward g Robinson.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Everything reminds me of Wigham. Ah, you can't get me share.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Next question?
- 15:36Speaker 4: You there eating the paste trivia time?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Hit me with your first question. I thought this was
- 15:41Speaker 2: going to be a one off, but then that it
- 15:42Speaker 2: happens again. But so you'll probably get this quite immediately.
- 15:45Speaker 2: But what does Ukraine cold chief Wigham?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Ukraine call Chief Wigham. Ah, it's like doctor big Pants
- 15:51Speaker 4: or something. It's Daddy round, Daddy round.
- 15:55Speaker 2: The big pants? Is my name? Yes?
- 15:57Speaker 4: Next one for me or first one for me is
- 15:59Speaker 4: what does Kemp Brockman have to get out of the
- 16:01Speaker 4: thorn bush? Oh?
- 16:03Speaker 2: God damn, yeah, I was gonna take notes about what
- 16:05Speaker 2: because because Krusty has to sort out the hoboes by
- 16:09Speaker 2: the war they were in. Is it used condoms?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Condoms?
- 16:11Speaker 2: It is?
- 16:13Speaker 4: By the way, one of the hoboes was Spotspider.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Oh for it nice. What computer command do you have
- 16:21Speaker 2: to use to start an amber alert?
- 16:24Speaker 4: Or is it control F thirteen?
- 16:27Speaker 2: It's control F three.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Oh, it's close, so close. My next one is what
- 16:31Speaker 4: does the tag one of Cora's Diner say Coras Diner?
- 16:35Speaker 2: Oh? Man, No, that's the one where they hid the
- 16:39Speaker 2: X cons right, is it that's where the X kinds
- 16:42Speaker 2: are cooking.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it just says not retro, just old.
- 16:48Speaker 2: They still have that kind of thing where they got
- 16:50Speaker 2: the like the retro cafes like the fifties cafes.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Well, Johnny Rockets was like a big thing for it's
- 16:54Speaker 4: so funny, the four Finger Discount United, what is it?
- 16:57Speaker 2: The unified theory of which?
- 16:59Speaker 4: And I just did a Patreon We did the Take
- 17:02Speaker 4: my Wife's Sleeves the Biker Gang one and then kicks
- 17:04Speaker 4: off with Homer at the greases Jo's Diner during the
- 17:07Speaker 4: dance contest. It's just like we're discussing last night, would
- 17:10Speaker 4: one of those work now and on like the surf Coast,
- 17:12Speaker 4: just like a fifty style diner. So we tried Johnny
- 17:14Speaker 4: Rockett that it failed, Yeah, it was there for a while.
- 17:17Speaker 4: I think it would work on the corner of malap
- 17:19Speaker 4: and morble. I think if done, if done properly, if
- 17:22Speaker 4: if you do it properly and you go for it
- 17:25Speaker 4: and you actually have everything themed true.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But here's the thing. Yeah, that was nostalgia in the
- 17:30Speaker 2: nineties for the fifties, and now it would be nostalgia
- 17:33Speaker 2: for the eighties, in the twenties, in the twenty twenty.
- 17:36Speaker 4: We just we literally brought that up, methought. But what's
- 17:38Speaker 4: like an eighties diner? Though it's a nineties done what's.
- 17:40Speaker 2: True that it would probably be like Johnny Rock, Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 2: it would be fifties nostalgia filtered through eighties nostalgia for now. Yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 2: I mean it would be like, what's what's an eighties?
- 17:51Speaker 4: What was describing eighties?
- 17:53Speaker 2: What? Dina? Actually, No, it's this is what's happening because
- 17:56Speaker 2: so many people like, remember pizza. Remember pizza? Yeah, pizza.
- 18:00Speaker 2: You've got people saying, yeah, we're gonna we're gonna buy
- 18:02Speaker 2: a pizza and we're gonna bring it back the way
- 18:03Speaker 2: we used to it. Say okay, you're going to fix
- 18:06Speaker 2: the pizzas there be there's maybe three people on Twitter
- 18:08Speaker 2: who were like that's great, I mean, and two people
- 18:10Speaker 2: on podcasts. But I went to the OI Can Eat
- 18:13Speaker 2: One and balow at Pizza Hut expecting to readlive my
- 18:16Speaker 2: childhood and take the kids out right, and well was
- 18:18Speaker 2: I was so was so punped. I was like, this
- 18:20Speaker 2: is gonna be great. Kids are going to see what
- 18:21Speaker 2: it was like to have an oil and eat pizzah
- 18:22Speaker 2: blah blah blah. And we get there and it was
- 18:24Speaker 2: a bunch of like fifteen year olds working there who
- 18:25Speaker 2: didn't give a ship. It was dirty, hadn't been cleaned,
- 18:28Speaker 2: the pizza was cold, and I was like the way
- 18:30Speaker 2: I remember it, or maybe it was maybe it was
- 18:34Speaker 2: there was no The Way to Balert is no dessert bar.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Oh for real, it used to be soft serve ice cream. Yeah,
- 18:39Speaker 2: if you're going to have that kind of nostalgic diner,
- 18:41Speaker 2: it would probably be like the way a Macas used
- 18:43Speaker 2: to be or the Hungry Jack's used to be. Maybe
- 18:45Speaker 2: Hungry Jack still is like that. But you know how
- 18:47Speaker 2: they're all maccas used to be an event. Yeah, they
- 18:49Speaker 2: look then they look like Ikeas.
- 18:51Speaker 4: I say this, it's all it's all Ikea stores. But
- 18:53Speaker 4: used to have the seats were shipped like Hamburgers. Of
- 18:55Speaker 4: course you had the bottom of Donald's statute used to
- 18:57Speaker 4: get a photo with.
- 18:58Speaker 2: They had all a man of crazy crap on the wall. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 2: and now they don't. Now they're basically like they're like
- 19:04Speaker 2: that factory at the end of terminator. I mean, you
- 19:06Speaker 2: go in. I've said this many times, how can you
- 19:09Speaker 2: work here? I would go out of my fucking mind. Yeah.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Why were we talking about that? Because they went to
- 19:17Speaker 2: they went to the retro thing. I have one final
- 19:20Speaker 2: question for you. Who was the producer of the TV
- 19:23Speaker 2: cop show.
- 19:23Speaker 4: That is a bit like Starskin Damn Nah, that was it?
- 19:26Speaker 2: Or the answer? The answer is in the question Stephen J.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Cobb Show, which is a play on Stephen J. Canell.
- 19:33Speaker 2: You were Stephen J. Canell. He's the maker, like the
- 19:36Speaker 2: A team Dick Wolf. Everyone knows Dick, but if you
- 19:40Speaker 2: watch I'd say forty to fifty percent of the cop
- 19:44Speaker 2: shows on American TV in the eighties and perhaps early
- 19:47Speaker 2: nineties had the name Stephen We've talked about in the
- 19:49Speaker 2: past because his close out thing is ripping the thing
- 19:52Speaker 2: and it goes yeah, yeah right, it turns into a seat.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Stephen J. Cannell, What a guy.
- 19:59Speaker 4: My final qu for you is what does Wigham? What
- 20:02Speaker 4: does the badge say that he gives Homer in mosh.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Will Will's Worst Friends?
- 20:09Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, you planned it on me, man.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I almost said that was one of my favorite mos Hey, man,
- 20:14Speaker 2: you planned dead. Almost any hippie or Miss Green or
- 20:21Speaker 2: whatever who had something planned I'm sure a man you
- 20:24Speaker 2: planned dead.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Why is it that whenever we do hippie voices, it
- 20:28Speaker 4: has to be cheating Chong.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Man, the power of cheach and Chong and they sort
- 20:35Speaker 2: of cult the paper on drug took and Hippies.
- 20:38Speaker 4: We recently, for some reason, discussed Norman Gunston and I
- 20:43Speaker 4: watched his interview with Cheech and Chong, and it's amazing
- 20:46Speaker 4: because in the first minute they're kind of confused, like
- 20:50Speaker 4: what's happening here, and after like that that sort of realized, Oh,
- 20:52Speaker 4: I see what's going on, and they play into it
- 20:54Speaker 4: and they're all just having the time and they're like
- 20:56Speaker 4: they're just they're they're clearly high and they're just loving life.
- 21:01Speaker 4: This fucking guy is he gets it.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But the thing of it is, it's so easy to
- 21:06Speaker 2: not write them off as just stoney guys. Really terrific
- 21:10Speaker 2: improvisational comics who have created these characters and are able
- 21:15Speaker 2: to work just about any situation within that character, within
- 21:20Speaker 2: the framework of those characters. It's pretty good.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Gene and Shoel, Yeah, they looking at each other's laughing
- 21:25Speaker 4: their asses off the whole time, Like this guy's hilarious
- 21:27Speaker 4: and he's just you know what Norman guns is like
- 21:29Speaker 4: just being awkward and making mistakes, and they're just they're
- 21:31Speaker 4: just eating it up. All right, it is Stonecutter's time now.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Of course, we're going to start with Kat g the
- 21:45Speaker 4: incredible KTG. Right, you tell me because she gives one
- 21:50Speaker 4: hundred bucks each Month's is absolutely superstar shot out Katy G.
- 21:53Speaker 4: But there's another man I need to mention. His name
- 21:54Speaker 4: is David Stewart, right, and he said in the Eurythmics,
- 21:57Speaker 4: I hope so that would be cool. He sent me
- 21:59Speaker 4: in email did it? And He's like, I don't really
- 22:01Speaker 4: care that. You know, I've been a tweeny dollar subscriber
- 22:03Speaker 4: for a couple months and you haven't said my name yet.
- 22:05Speaker 4: I was just wondering if you could, if it's gonna happen.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I was like, I just want to support you guys.

- 23:32Speaker 4: The original air date of this episode, mister Davis, was
- 23:34Speaker 4: April eighteenth, twenty ten. What do you think were the
- 23:37Speaker 4: top three films at the US box office when this
- 23:39Speaker 4: episode aired.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna say Avatar, Avatar and Avatar ten. It was
- 23:43Speaker 2: two thousand and nine. I don't know, man, let's find out,
- 23:46Speaker 2: let's do it, Let's go to the internet.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Number three was Date Nights, number two had to Train
- 23:50Speaker 4: Your Dragon, and number one was kick Ass. Kick Ass
- 23:54Speaker 4: debut at number one had There was two films kick Ass, wasn't.
- 23:56Speaker 2: It there was? I think kick Ass two was not
- 23:58Speaker 2: that great. Wonder how well kick Ass has aged. I
- 24:03Speaker 2: feels like it feels like a very twenty tens kind
- 24:05Speaker 2: of movie.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I was kind of late to kick Ass. I never
- 24:07Speaker 4: saw it when it first came out, and I was like,
- 24:08Speaker 4: you go see kick Ass. I was saying with Scott Pilgrim.
- 24:10Speaker 4: I was like, you coulda watch Scott Pilgrim. And I
- 24:12Speaker 4: watched it like later on and I was like, hey,
- 24:14Speaker 4: you want see Scup Pilgrim. I'm like, yeah, Like ten
- 24:15Speaker 4: years ago, I.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Had a training Dragon is in there. I met some
- 24:20Speaker 2: guy the other day. It was being a counter jocket,
- 24:24Speaker 2: a retail atlet selling pop culture merchandise. One might say,
- 24:29Speaker 2: I remember a young man who was incredibly fluent in
- 24:31Speaker 2: how to Train your Dragon Law. Okay, he knew about it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Did you make a mistake on something he credited you?
- 24:38Speaker 2: It was a bit scenting laid No. No, I think
- 24:40Speaker 2: I was just hey, I like that movie. You like it? Well,
- 24:45Speaker 2: why you're biking it wrong? No, he was a good guy.
- 24:47Speaker 4: I remember when I worked at CONN for your pop
- 24:50Speaker 4: Culture and I was in the board game section, and
- 24:52Speaker 4: I remember there was a Bill and Ted board game.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I remember this guy was like looking at the board games.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I was like, anything you like? I said, this one's
- 24:59Speaker 4: good Bill and ten And he's like, how many movies
- 25:02Speaker 4: are there? And I was like, well, I was like
- 25:04Speaker 4: there's two. He's like, yeah, which one's the best one?
- 25:06Speaker 4: I was like, well, I like billing Ted's Bogus Journey.
- 25:08Speaker 4: He's like, oh, so you do know him. I'm like,
- 25:11Speaker 4: why were you so offended? He was like, so, how
- 25:14Speaker 4: many films are there? I was like, because it was
- 25:15Speaker 4: billing Ted's Excellent Adventure. And I was like two and
- 25:17Speaker 4: second he gets alright, then word do the wise. Don't
- 25:20Speaker 4: be that person.
- 25:22Speaker 2: That person who.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Being a little more for me. I think it was
- 25:27Speaker 4: he was more annoyed. He's like, this guy actually doesn't
- 25:29Speaker 4: know about by Journey. He knows it's extent sequel. Yeah
- 25:33Speaker 4: he does, indeed, right, so yes. April eighteen, twenty ten,
- 25:37Speaker 4: Written by Carolyn Amine and William Wright So all the
- 25:40Speaker 4: Bad Stuff William Right, and readed by Chris Clements. It
- 25:45Speaker 4: stars Jane I was miss pronounce her last names Americ
- 25:47Speaker 4: because Mary, Yeah, the mum from in the middle. Yeah,
- 25:51Speaker 4: she plays the judge.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Did you watch that life still Unfair? No, I've never
- 25:54Speaker 2: I didn't watch the original series. Yeah, I was never
- 25:55Speaker 2: really into it.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Yeah, my friends loved it. I just never really bothered
- 25:59Speaker 4: with it. Yeah, I'm sure great. But Marisa marsh appears.
- 26:02Speaker 4: I'm not sure who as who, but he's in this
- 26:03Speaker 4: and Joe Montagna as Fat Tony. Now, what was the
- 26:06Speaker 4: Billboard gag?
- 26:07Speaker 2: Billboard gag was death and Texas, two things they avoid.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Mister Burnan's just yeah, it's not really selling anything. It's just,
- 26:14Speaker 2: you know, just a joke with mister man. You also
- 26:18Speaker 2: had Keny Curtis Curtis in their Flying Saucer.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Yes, now, the chop Board gag discounts as Jim and
- 26:26Speaker 4: Art class and the Couch gag the same four course
- 26:28Speaker 4: in their gag as in Wedding for Disaster, which is
- 26:30Speaker 4: the comic book. Guy calls them Bill Terrible after tossing
- 26:32Speaker 4: down his napkin. So, but the Simpsons were food. I
- 26:35Speaker 4: think they were, but it was like a steak. Yes,
- 26:37Speaker 4: that's right. See episode kicks off with the family besides Homer,
- 26:42Speaker 4: Marge and the kids on their way to a birthday
- 26:43Speaker 4: party for Dylan. They were to tottle toss together.
- 26:46Speaker 2: This is the thing.
- 26:47Speaker 4: So Nicholas still friends with some of the girls from
- 26:50Speaker 4: her mother's group from Elliott's age, and the kids are
- 26:53Speaker 4: still friends, but they only really catch up because mum,
- 26:56Speaker 4: like the mums are catching up. Yeah, but I cant
- 26:59Speaker 4: understand why. But it's like whatever the whole we don't
- 27:02Speaker 4: know it's a boy or girl. I'm like, that's a
- 27:03Speaker 4: bit silly because Marge would remember that. Yeah, yeah, and
- 27:06Speaker 4: I've never had a girl called Dylan. Oh yeah, there
- 27:09Speaker 4: were plenty of girls called Yeah, I never have I've
- 27:10Speaker 4: never met mine. Well, not plenty, but there are certainly some. Yeah, okay,
- 27:13Speaker 4: but they she can't work out whether it's a boy
- 27:16Speaker 4: or girl because it's fish themed. They arrive as princesses
- 27:18Speaker 4: and superheroes. His best friend is a dog, then, but
- 27:22Speaker 4: it's a carrot cake. I thought you would have liked
- 27:23Speaker 4: the kid that likes the carrokeke.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Do we actually find out if Dylan? No, we never do.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Did I like it?
- 27:30Speaker 4: No?
- 27:30Speaker 2: I thought it was weird on different levels, that whole gag.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I thought there's all was gross. It was not Martin.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It should have been Muttin, right, you would think so
- 27:38Speaker 2: if it was a very Martin codd, isn't it but
- 27:42Speaker 2: so nice? It's like, what's up with that? But it's
- 27:47Speaker 2: all carrot cakes actually can be quite nice. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 2: And but but just taking his mouthful and smushing it
- 27:54Speaker 2: back into the cupcake and then putting it back, and
- 27:56Speaker 2: then they keep eating it and so moist. It's like,
- 27:58Speaker 2: it's kind of gross.
- 27:59Speaker 4: I see Carricter get a birthday party, though as the
- 28:01Speaker 4: same way you'd see you. I know, these new shorts
- 28:04Speaker 4: and shoes are practical, but I don't want it for Christmas?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Right yeah? Well, heye. We just finished talking about toy story,
- 28:12Speaker 2: the iconic toy story, one might say for the movie
- 28:16Speaker 2: Guard with Moulton Davis watching it, it was hilarious. They're
- 28:20Speaker 2: having the birthday party and he's got he's got bad sheets.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Who invited that decad.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Don Rickles alleged, I find myself just laughing.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Mister Potato had the entire time. Mister Potato, it's just
- 28:34Speaker 4: a prick. Absolutely he wants to kill Woody.
- 28:44Speaker 2: If you know nothing about Don Rickles, by the way,
- 28:47Speaker 2: just look into him. The guy was just's He was
- 28:50Speaker 2: one of one of my favorite showbiz stories of all time.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I don't know if ever Patima's on the recounted this
- 28:57Speaker 2: on the on the shows, but he was tired with
- 28:59Speaker 2: the like the RAPBA guys like Frank Sinatra and all. Yeah,
- 29:03Speaker 2: And one night Rickles is having a restaurant having dinner
- 29:08Speaker 2: with this woman and Frank Sinach comes in, and you know,
- 29:10Speaker 2: you Knowatra was a pretty sort of high powered guy,
- 29:13Speaker 2: kind of fearsome, connected, connected with the mob, but all
- 29:16Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. And Rickles sort of goes to
- 29:20Speaker 2: him and says, I'm here with this girl. I'm trying
- 29:22Speaker 2: to impress her. If you could just come over and
- 29:23Speaker 2: sort of show that you know me, you do really,
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'll do really well here. Yeah, Don no worries at all.
- 29:30Speaker 2: And he comes over. Don Frank, I'm busy right now, Like, yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 2: I love that.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Frank would have appreciate it that Frank would appreciate that,
- 29:43Speaker 4: all right, but yeah, so moist that that that gag
- 29:46Speaker 4: is weird. The kids are now playing card Battleballs as
- 29:50Speaker 4: we're discussing at the start, the Japanese card game based
- 29:52Speaker 4: on a cartoon based on Agent Religion, based on candy bars. Yes,
- 29:56Speaker 4: just makes digitmm looks like Pokemon. I always it's if
- 30:00Speaker 4: you grew up in the nineties, mid to late nineties,
- 30:02Speaker 4: you're a Pokemon kid. I never wasn't really any but
- 30:04Speaker 4: your Pokemon kid. If you grew up, like if you
- 30:06Speaker 4: were late nineties to mid two thousands, you were a
- 30:08Speaker 4: digitmon kid.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, could you explain the difference to me and
- 30:12Speaker 2: like very briefly in a way that's kind of interesting.
- 30:15Speaker 4: I remember you were blown away when you realize that
- 30:16Speaker 4: digitmond stands for digital monsters.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that was wild.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Pokemon stands for like pocket monsters. Right, Yes, oh cool,
- 30:25Speaker 4: there you go. That is a different That's all there is.
- 30:28Speaker 4: One is digital. One goes in your pocket. My digits
- 30:31Speaker 4: going up all the time.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Um, as I mentioned, been doing a little retail work,
- 30:35Speaker 2: and I'm amazed at how you've got kids coming, Like, hey,
- 30:38Speaker 2: get some Pogermonk cards and then you've got big dudes
- 30:40Speaker 2: coming it gets the Pokemont cards.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a big deal to gain Pokemon.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Car demands high only six at a time, all six, maybe.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Said, because what happens is in the States they have
- 30:52Speaker 4: them been like vending machines, and the scalpers just go
- 30:55Speaker 4: there and just raid the entire machine.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not right.
- 30:58Speaker 4: No, it's not right. We'll not stand for it. Butt
- 31:00Speaker 4: likes the idea of this game. Homer is now arriving
- 31:03Speaker 4: at a bank with a candy apple. Why is going
- 31:05Speaker 4: to the bank.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:06Speaker 4: We just needed him be arrested, that's all correct, And
- 31:10Speaker 4: I don't know. Se puts the candy text, the bite,
- 31:12Speaker 4: puts the candy apple on his pocket, walks in all
- 31:14Speaker 4: of a sudden, he can't speak because it's all chewy
- 31:15Speaker 4: and whatnot. And then they think he's trying to rob
- 31:19Speaker 4: the bank.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Did they visualize it enough that it looks like, I mean,
- 31:23Speaker 2: the stick of the candy apple, this sort of looks
- 31:25Speaker 2: like a gun. Just look like he's got his hand
- 31:27Speaker 2: in his pocket.
- 31:27Speaker 4: It's just like, but he's going to kill every hostage
- 31:29Speaker 4: every Yeah, let's gets what he wants it wants a
- 31:31Speaker 4: million a month. Bills just kept going and going.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It went on a little bit.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Yeah, so they tase him, take his candy apple, and
- 31:38Speaker 4: he's saying he wants to be tased again.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Get him deep in the meat.
- 31:41Speaker 4: It cuts him in the cutting him in court, he
- 31:43Speaker 4: gets sentenced to one hundred hours of community service. He'd
- 31:45Speaker 4: rather go to prison than serve the community. And then
- 31:48Speaker 4: we cut to them at community service. Wighams on the
- 31:51Speaker 4: phone to Sarah and just planting the seeds here that
- 31:53Speaker 4: Wighams is lonely.
- 31:55Speaker 1: So sweety, This community service details should end around five.
- 31:58Speaker 1: You want to go to that seafood place. Ah, yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 1: you got your buck club again. That thing sure meets
- 32:04Speaker 1: a lot. You know, I've read that book. Maybe I
- 32:07Speaker 1: could comment, Ah, right, right, right, not enough chairs.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it got me wonderful a moment here is Sarah
- 32:14Speaker 2: doing the dirty.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Or is it actually just I reckon? She just doesn't
- 32:17Speaker 4: want wigging around because it's like a turd time. Sure, Okay.
- 32:21Speaker 4: The thing is, when you're a parent, you have very
- 32:24Speaker 4: limited me time. Right, So when Nikola wants to go
- 32:27Speaker 4: out with the girls, it's like you just go out
- 32:29Speaker 4: with the girls I'm not going to invade that space.
- 32:31Speaker 4: It's much like if I'm going to you know, movies
- 32:33Speaker 4: have were made or whatever, and oh can I come
- 32:35Speaker 4: to I'll be like, it's the only time where I
- 32:37Speaker 4: get to like talk shit about you other than this podcast.
- 32:43Speaker 4: But yeah, I can't see Sarah as someone that would
- 32:45Speaker 4: do the dirty on Wigan.
- 32:46Speaker 2: No, I just felt badroom and you can't go how
- 32:50Speaker 2: about that seabook place because there's someone who was very
- 32:52Speaker 2: much like I've got to go to restaurants, was like
- 32:55Speaker 2: we should go out, and I'm like going, how about
- 32:57Speaker 2: Diggers or this other.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Place you still got to go?
- 32:59Speaker 2: Diggaz is great man.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Yeah, really, Steak every time I'm aware do a good steak.
- 33:09Speaker 2: This is what makes me he's such a great boyfriend.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I can imagine you said, I think we should only
- 33:16Speaker 2: see other people, but they do it crazy, but Steak,
- 33:24Speaker 2: we can stick to my room date. But the way
- 33:28Speaker 2: he's so like we could check out that sheep who
- 33:29Speaker 2: played like, oh he's putting in the effort. Yeah yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 2: I was, Yeah, poor Clancy.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Yeah, they do a good job of making you feel
- 33:36Speaker 4: sympathetic for him here for sure. Then Homer's got lots
- 33:38Speaker 4: of palms. Now, what's so a palmi or palm? What's palm?
- 33:42Speaker 2: I'm guessing they're just crumbing everything. Is that what it is?
- 33:45Speaker 4: Sounds delicious? Palm anything?
- 33:47Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, because yeah, when we think of like, yeah,
- 33:51Speaker 2: chicken parmesana, it's usually just breaded right, I guess he's yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 2: I guess.
- 33:57Speaker 4: They call they call chicken sticks or breaded chicken in England, okay,
- 34:00Speaker 4: And it's not a it's not a normal meal. It's
- 34:02Speaker 4: like you go to a public covered chicken slits of like,
- 34:04Speaker 4: oh you don't want hickory chicken, and no hickory chicken
- 34:07Speaker 4: is no crumbs, just skinless chicken breasts with barbecue sauce
- 34:10Speaker 4: on it. I'd rather have a chicken parme if that's.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You mean breaded chicken.
- 34:18Speaker 4: And it explains why Nikola when she gets a PARMEI,
- 34:20Speaker 4: she has to have barbecue parmies because that's the hickory
- 34:24Speaker 4: chicken I think.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I said, like when we lived in England back in
- 34:28Speaker 2: seventy nine and the one of the first times we
- 34:30Speaker 2: had fish and chips there, it was like this before
- 34:32Speaker 2: after you saw Alec Guinness. No, this is before.
- 34:36Speaker 4: These are the two main events of my my year
- 34:38Speaker 4: in England. Look up hickory chicken. It doesn't look like
- 34:40Speaker 4: the chicken I got at.
- 34:41Speaker 2: The Is that an Americans version of hickory chicken? Because
- 34:44Speaker 2: that's probably something from downs Oud Hickory sto uk.
- 34:47Speaker 4: No, it doesn't remember, no, because what I got was
- 34:51Speaker 4: was it a place called Weatherspoons. That's like a supermarket, right,
- 34:55Speaker 4: Oh that's a that's their version of like sporting Globe,
- 34:57Speaker 4: that's right, yeah yeah. And it was icy your chicken. Yeah, no,
- 35:01Speaker 4: that doesn't Is that there is that chicken barbecue saucing? Yeah,
- 35:04Speaker 4: see it's got no skin on it, a skinless with
- 35:06Speaker 4: just sauce. I don't know.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I love it. The logo a very sad looking barbecue chicken.
- 35:12Speaker 2: It is very sad looking. But yeah, it's like, oh,
- 35:15Speaker 2: this will be a little taste of home fish and chips.
- 35:17Speaker 2: And I was like to deal with this fish and
- 35:19Speaker 2: I was like, it's cod.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Now, what is happening here?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah, there's like I guess I'm having chips.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Yes, it's soggy, correct, yes, But and then.
- 35:29Speaker 2: You know I was in at Havy Nichols and saw
- 35:31Speaker 2: Aleganess and didn't say a word to him.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Do you regret that he wouldn't want to be bother
- 35:37Speaker 4: Woody one if he go away child. I think he
- 35:41Speaker 4: would have said that.
- 35:42Speaker 2: I don't think he would, but yeah, he also looked
- 35:44Speaker 2: just looked like a guy who was just doing his
- 35:45Speaker 2: arf and and shopping.
- 35:46Speaker 4: But imagine you just looked up a him. He just
- 35:48Speaker 4: sort of like this like without it just like broken
- 35:50Speaker 4: down on the mind. He did like the force thing.
- 35:54Speaker 2: This guy knows having that kind of powers. I would
- 35:58Speaker 2: have gone, are you picking up some power? And then
- 36:03Speaker 2: he would have said, get this young man out of
- 36:05Speaker 2: the store.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, exactly, but yees so home has been arrested.
- 36:07Speaker 4: He's in community service, and he's got these palms on
- 36:10Speaker 4: community service.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Multiple palms.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Yes, And he says it, Sarah only does the palms
- 36:14Speaker 4: on my birthday. When I do it, the puppy look
- 36:15Speaker 4: and like this is me. And I'm like, okay, I
- 36:17Speaker 4: really want Nicholas rosotto and I'll just drop the hint
- 36:19Speaker 4: like you said you're cooking rosuta for dinner, right and
- 36:21Speaker 4: Nicholas like I wasn't planning to. I'm like okay. She's like,
- 36:23Speaker 4: do you want me to? I'm like, no, you want to?
- 36:26Speaker 4: She's like.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I thought they were alluding to sex, like I only
- 36:34Speaker 2: get a certain thing on my birthday and that's a
- 36:36Speaker 2: bit pitiful.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Or it's pitiful that he's like he's not even
- 36:39Speaker 4: getting sex, he's just he would rather food.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Maybe maybe I could say Carolinamina, you know, she's just
- 36:44Speaker 2: working on multiple levels. She is, indeed.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Yeah, but Homer gives him is not sorry, Homer gives
- 36:52Speaker 4: him one of his palms so it gives everyone else
- 36:54Speaker 4: a shitty task to do, and says Homer can come
- 36:55Speaker 4: sit with him and eat ye. By the way, here,
- 37:00Speaker 4: it's pretty grim the gag here, the amount of ex
- 37:02Speaker 4: soldiers who just end up homeless, pretty tragic. Oh yeah, yeah, no, great,
- 37:07Speaker 4: not good at all. Go to warm, come back and
- 37:09Speaker 4: be like, we don't need you anymore.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Yeah, we should thank you for your service. Yes.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Homan then sits out the picnic table and he's having
- 37:14Speaker 4: to bite with with Wigham and Krusty calls him the
- 37:17Speaker 4: teacher's pet, and I think he said somebody's cocaine. I
- 37:20Speaker 4: think he says, there's cocaine in there, got your nose
- 37:23Speaker 4: his nose off, that's right, there's cocaine in there. How
- 37:26Speaker 4: howl was am?
- 37:26Speaker 2: I meant to do this work.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Wighim and Homer bond over being fat. He gets his
- 37:30Speaker 4: underwear especially made in Ukraine. Daddy round round?
- 37:32Speaker 2: What it is? Daddy roundround?
- 37:33Speaker 4: Yeah, he asked to hang out for a beer afterwards,
- 37:35Speaker 4: and he's always hasn't He's like, oh, oh, do you
- 37:38Speaker 4: want to hang out for a beer? And then you
- 37:39Speaker 4: can't believe that Homer agrees. We're now at Cora's Diner
- 37:43Speaker 4: and all the cocks the.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Cox well, actually funny, funny you mentioned that because but
- 37:48Speaker 2: prior to that, Yeah, they've got the whole thing where
- 37:50Speaker 2: home is on the bus and that's all this very much?
- 37:52Speaker 2: Is he looking? Oh look back? And this is again
- 37:55Speaker 2: It made me right down. Wait what's this now? Uppers
- 37:59Speaker 2: are up, offers areway way up. Now, his spirits are up.
- 38:02Speaker 2: It could be something else, Carol and me, multiple levels,
- 38:06Speaker 2: but anyway, you're ruined my script, mister Davis, your innuendos. Yeah,
- 38:11Speaker 2: so you're the one coming up with a dirty double
- 38:13Speaker 2: on dundrous.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Baby butt Corra's Diner and all the cooks there are
- 38:17Speaker 4: x cons and they're getting the second chance, spitting in
- 38:19Speaker 4: the food and whatnot. Yeah, this is where Homie gets
- 38:21Speaker 4: invited because he gets a phone or something's happening, says home,
- 38:23Speaker 4: he can come along with me. Said, this is what
- 38:25Speaker 4: it must be like to be a pregnant lady, because
- 38:26Speaker 4: i'man cops most rushed women to the hospital, I guess,
- 38:28Speaker 4: or yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Or you're in the back of an ambulance or something.
- 38:30Speaker 2: You get to run red lights and sort of break
- 38:33Speaker 2: the speed limit.
- 38:34Speaker 4: I remember when Nicola her water broke and I was like,
- 38:36Speaker 4: this is the one time in my life I can
- 38:37Speaker 4: do like one hundred on the highway and the cop
- 38:40Speaker 4: I can dry.
- 38:41Speaker 2: You realize you can do one hundred on highway just
- 38:42Speaker 2: about any time.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I mean just here seventy yeah, yeah, yeah, not the highway,
- 38:45Speaker 4: the Geelong Yes Highway. And I remember I was always
- 38:49Speaker 4: wanting a cop to see me, but no cops saw me.
- 38:51Speaker 4: I was just like, I'm like, no one's gonna stut me.
- 38:58Speaker 2: There's some young punk cop to pull you over.
- 39:00Speaker 4: You're like, my why back practice, I was thinking in
- 39:03Speaker 4: my head, if you're driving your pregnant wife to the
- 39:06Speaker 4: hospital and cops up putting the lights on, do you
- 39:08Speaker 4: just drive to the hospital knowing that well, I'm going
- 39:10Speaker 4: to get off anyway. She needs to get to the hospital.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Just have them chase you to the hospital or door
- 39:14Speaker 4: do you pull over? I think I would have just
- 39:17Speaker 4: kept driving to the hospital.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Maybe, yeah, except want if you get something over zealous
- 39:22Speaker 2: cop is kind of like we got to do nineteen
- 39:25Speaker 2: and the next thing.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Sending in RoboCop.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Come quietly or there will be trouble. That's a great line.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Come quietly or there will be trouble.
- 39:37Speaker 2: You're a move Greep went out of school.
- 39:40Speaker 4: And Nelson says that Ralph has the platinum Lava Genie,
- 39:43Speaker 4: which I'm assumming is just like the equivalent of like
- 39:45Speaker 4: a holographic charizard. I rememb there's like a charge card.
- 39:48Speaker 4: It's a holographic or something like a shiny one. And
- 39:50Speaker 4: if you had that, it's like you ran the school yard.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yes, eximption, I think you got all the best battleball cards.
- 39:58Speaker 3: We'll stink again, smell wine. Rulph William's got a platinum
- 40:02Speaker 3: love a Genie. How to pull up like you get
- 40:06Speaker 3: a great card like that?
- 40:07Speaker 2: My not dead grandma sent it from Tokyo. Ralph. I
- 40:11Speaker 2: will play you for that card.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Okay, but if I win, you have to teach me
- 40:15Speaker 5: how to play this game deal, sir, I think something's
- 40:20Speaker 5: going down, something big.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Could that be some sort of narcotics transaction?
- 40:26Speaker 2: What are you asking me for? I see you're impressed.
- 40:31Speaker 4: By my costume for the school's annual drug awareness assembly.
- 40:36Speaker 2: So am I getting raised?
- 40:37Speaker 5: Not?
- 40:38Speaker 4: No, we're gonna put sugar in his coffee. As you're saying,
- 40:41Speaker 4: you like that, it's probably shut the window. Then humbad
- 40:44Speaker 4: does check on himself in the car. I must have
- 40:47Speaker 4: been I would be curious about this. Ye, yes, I
- 40:51Speaker 4: mean I've got a few misdemeanors you know, in the
- 40:55Speaker 4: in the file probably and they all old news.
- 40:57Speaker 2: But broad what else?
- 41:00Speaker 1: Oh?
- 41:00Speaker 2: You know, impersonating little case of murder, little murder. No,
- 41:07Speaker 2: it was manslaughter.
- 41:08Speaker 4: One go down to man.
- 41:11Speaker 2: That's right, Man's a load of one. Gay Davis a joke.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I don't know what I was. It's to make sense.
- 41:22Speaker 2: It's all in the delivery, it exactly. But yeah, I
- 41:25Speaker 2: mean who among us would not if you had the
- 41:28Speaker 2: opportunity to look at your permanent record, as they say,
- 41:31Speaker 2: and wipe it clean.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 2: I told you about the time I was at boarding
- 41:36Speaker 2: school and you know, a friend and I were sort
- 41:38Speaker 2: of acting up in class or something. And we got
- 41:40Speaker 2: pulled aside by this mass teacher was a real preck
- 41:44Speaker 2: and he said to my the other guys, you're on
- 41:48Speaker 2: the verge of getting a reputation. And then he pointed
- 41:50Speaker 2: me and said, you've already got a reputation. So I'm like,
- 41:52Speaker 2: wait a minute, me, guy Davis, But it wouldn't melt
- 41:57Speaker 2: in my mouth what you're talking about. Then I realized
- 42:00Speaker 2: actually saying these things then was probably why you've already
- 42:03Speaker 2: got one?
- 42:04Speaker 1: What?
- 42:06Speaker 2: What?
- 42:07Speaker 4: Why did he did it at lunchtime?
- 42:12Speaker 2: But it's always really brazy because I mean, I think
- 42:14Speaker 2: everyone thinks themselves as essentially a decent person, not someone
- 42:18Speaker 2: who breaks the rules.
- 42:19Speaker 4: You don't one reputation?
- 42:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and what that they've got stuff written about you?
- 42:23Speaker 2: Will they talk about you in the star room while
- 42:24Speaker 2: they have enough cig in in the starf rooms, Like what.
- 42:27Speaker 4: That Davis kid, he's so high and min he goes
- 42:30Speaker 4: a Bobby.
- 42:33Speaker 2: God damn anyway, but yes, we would all check out
- 42:37Speaker 2: permanent record.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Yes, But then he sets the umbrella out in himself
- 42:40Speaker 4: by accident, so he changes it to Mo who's unfortunately
- 42:43Speaker 4: carrying a cake.
- 42:44Speaker 2: He's about to be a victim of mob justice. Yeah,
- 42:46Speaker 2: then Homer takes. He takes Amber.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Alert is it's pretty much where it's like, drop everything,
- 42:51Speaker 4: you have to get this guy right. Oh yeah, but
- 42:53Speaker 4: it signifies the kidnapping of a child. Oh I didn't
- 42:55Speaker 4: realize that. Okay, yep. So then he takes homing to
- 42:58Speaker 4: his favorites. The name my favorite porn stuff. It's not true,
- 43:02Speaker 4: but Google's Amber Alert.
- 43:05Speaker 2: There was a porn Sunday Miranda Rights, which I thought
- 43:07Speaker 2: was great.
- 43:07Speaker 4: That's a great name.
- 43:08Speaker 2: It is good. If there is one called Amber Alert,
- 43:11Speaker 2: I think that'd be great.
- 43:12Speaker 4: So he takes home to his favorite place in the
- 43:14Speaker 4: whole world. It is where he explains this civilians are
- 43:17Speaker 4: scared of us and other cops remind us I thinks
- 43:18Speaker 4: would rather forget.
- 43:19Speaker 2: But he's really sort of opening up about other things
- 43:22Speaker 2: as well. Did me say something about do you worry
- 43:25Speaker 2: that the shun dishappears at Nate or something like that
- 43:28Speaker 2: or yeah? I was like no, yeah, but everyone, I mean,
- 43:33Speaker 2: that's a ludicrous example of something. But yeah, it can
- 43:36Speaker 2: be childish things, yeah, but it could be very bracing
- 43:39Speaker 2: to sort of open up about your deepest thoughts, fears, feelings,
- 43:42Speaker 2: et cetera. And hopefully you know it's like, hopefully this
- 43:46Speaker 2: person will understand even if they don't necessarily. Oh, I
- 43:49Speaker 2: don't feel that way, but I have something similar. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 43:55Speaker 4: It's kind of sweet. But Snake is in the back.
- 43:58Speaker 4: He's been it for ten hours and he's now being
- 44:00Speaker 4: charged with burglary and spoiling the moment. Then Skinner and
- 44:04Speaker 4: Charma's core margin. They tell her they think Bart is
- 44:06Speaker 4: dealing drugs, which I like her theory, but he doesn't
- 44:09Speaker 4: have the math skills. I didn't think it was funny.
- 44:12Speaker 4: And then they hear she hears the boys in Bart's room.
- 44:14Speaker 4: You don't really know how to roll on Bart because
- 44:15Speaker 4: they're playing the battle balls, of course, and let me
- 44:18Speaker 4: listen out of context, and he refers to the balls
- 44:21Speaker 4: as products and whatnot, and they're reported and Maggie is
- 44:25Speaker 4: randomly just throws the block into her throat. She chokes
- 44:28Speaker 4: on a block like Maggie like, he throws a block
- 44:29Speaker 4: at Margin that goes in her throat and she chokes.
- 44:31Speaker 4: It's weird ends the scenes lately.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna choke that up to William right, he's
- 44:38Speaker 2: just from the metal in the script. He just he
- 44:40Speaker 2: fuck with.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Maybe because he doesn't have his own wiki. Patier, maybe
- 44:43Speaker 4: he doesn't exist. But like now when they question her,
- 44:46Speaker 4: like that was Williant was he's got.
- 44:48Speaker 2: A real Carolyn. Men, now you've done it again.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Yes, William and Homer are now watching the sunset. This
- 44:55Speaker 4: is where this is what Sorry, I've jumped ahead a bit,
- 44:59Speaker 4: doesn't come back up, so it goes down or he
- 45:00Speaker 4: did worry it's never going to come back after it
- 45:02Speaker 4: goes down, and he discusses Ralph and then he's like
- 45:05Speaker 4: one of the bed but's him what a superman kills everybody.
- 45:08Speaker 4: There's the kind of question that Ralph asks him. Then
- 45:10Speaker 4: Luke calls because there's an he doesn't say what it is,
- 45:12Speaker 4: but it's an armed robbery. Eventually it's an ard robbery,
- 45:15Speaker 4: that's what it is.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I like this line though from do you need back
- 45:20Speaker 2: up or do you want back that's great? That does
- 45:25Speaker 2: spoil the moment.
- 45:26Speaker 4: They arrest the mob.
- 45:27Speaker 2: They call them mob.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Mobsters, yeah, robbers robbers, and there's Jimmy tight lips. He
- 45:33Speaker 4: shoots Wigham though, but luckily he was wearing a bulletproof vest,
- 45:35Speaker 4: or so he thought. Looks in the car and it's
- 45:37Speaker 4: hanging in the car window. And then we come up
- 45:40Speaker 4: a commercial. Were now in the hospital and it's touch
- 45:42Speaker 4: and go there the left lung field with Shamrock Shake
- 45:44Speaker 4: and McDonald's din't even seldom this year. Then Home of
- 45:46Speaker 4: Comforts Sarah. He says, nowhere else stay with him until
- 45:50Speaker 4: he recovers, and he just does.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Literally. Maybe Sarah should be there.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Yes, let's just look after Ralph, I guess, but we
- 45:57Speaker 4: never see her there? Do we don't worry. Don't worry, Sarah,
- 45:59Speaker 4: I'll look after your husband. But he reads him the
- 46:03Speaker 4: what does he read menus? Yes, and he's playing cards
- 46:06Speaker 4: and your cheats and whatnot. And then he gets a
- 46:08Speaker 4: get well card from the Ukraine people that make his underwear.
- 46:11Speaker 4: They're watching Krusty. Then Homer Police for him to wake up,
- 46:13Speaker 4: and just as he does, he's homes the first person
- 46:16Speaker 4: he sees lou then a rise with flowers because he
- 46:18Speaker 4: missed a wake up, that's what he counts. He yells
- 46:20Speaker 4: at him, who's been sleeping on the couch all that time? Yeah,
- 46:23Speaker 4: and then asked to go see his families. That can
- 46:25Speaker 4: I do it? And Wigham lays on the guilt. Up
- 46:27Speaker 4: Here's like, oh, I guess you can live your life
- 46:29Speaker 4: and and that that I saved. Oh man, that's the thing.
- 46:33Speaker 4: If someone saves your life, it's like I kind of
- 46:35Speaker 4: owe you everything. Yeah yeah, But how how much do
- 46:38Speaker 4: you allow that person to have that over you? I
- 46:41Speaker 4: mean probably forever, because you wouldn't be without them. But
- 46:44Speaker 4: I think like if you in a situation where a
- 46:46Speaker 4: cop saved you, you were just it's this, you'd have
- 46:49Speaker 4: this love for them.
- 46:50Speaker 2: I think.
- 46:52Speaker 4: It's probably something they do. It's like they say, it's
- 46:54Speaker 4: a big deals, like I do this every day, but
- 46:55Speaker 4: it's like, no, I'm here because you saved me.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Sure absolutely. I was working on a story that no, no,
- 47:02Speaker 2: I should probably get back to because I thought the
- 47:03Speaker 2: central idea was all right about a guy who had
- 47:06Speaker 2: a friend who had this friend had saved our main
- 47:09Speaker 2: guy's live but always held it over him in petty
- 47:12Speaker 2: little ways, and the guy eventually decided to kill his
- 47:15Speaker 2: friend because it's like, I can't live like this anymore.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Us something from the Twilight Zone. Oh the irony, but
- 47:25Speaker 4: he gets having to stick around, like final stick around.
- 47:27Speaker 4: He asked him to read a story that he has
- 47:29Speaker 4: written with an imaginary meeting between Babe Bruce and Hitler,
- 47:31Speaker 4: but no, mention of baseball or Germany.
- 47:35Speaker 2: That's pretty funny.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Marge's then looking for drugs in Bart's room. She looks
- 47:38Speaker 4: into babushka dolls that she has the itchy powder and
- 47:41Speaker 4: she cuts over and all the stuff toys. Then Bart
- 47:43Speaker 4: finds her, Oh finally, maybe my room cool. There was
- 47:46Speaker 4: a real animal, yes, and he says she said that
- 47:48Speaker 4: you were a drug o and he says, no, I'm
- 47:50Speaker 4: not a drug o, not until at least raised my allowance.
- 47:53Speaker 4: And in the basement I was getting higher scores unbattaball.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Then Marge gets hooked on it because she thinks they're cute,
- 48:00Speaker 4: and Bart flushes them down the toilet.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Not even hooked on him. She just says, oh, these
- 48:03Speaker 2: are nice.
- 48:03Speaker 4: He's a nice yet, oh, forget this one toilet you
- 48:05Speaker 4: can handle Daddy can handle this. And how he complains
- 48:08Speaker 4: to the guys that Moris about how needy Wigham's being.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Wigham arrives all jealous.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Well, well, well so this is the Saint almost fiery
- 48:17Speaker 1: union that Andrew McCarthy himself was gone to attend.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Okay, maybe I like, but you've been so needy, I'm hungry,
- 48:24Speaker 2: I'm itchy. That's not my blood type. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 2: oh oh, what have we here?
- 48:31Speaker 1: Huh world's worst friend? Hey man, you planted that it's
- 48:36Speaker 1: your word against the chief of police. Take him away, buys.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Chief being a bad friend isn't against the law. Well,
- 48:43Speaker 2: if it was, he'd be getting the chair. You you
- 48:46Speaker 2: all would. Bad friend, bad friend, bad friend.
- 48:54Speaker 4: I'm now watching Stosky and Hotch. Everything's reminding him of Wigham,
- 48:57Speaker 4: Gee Robinson, the Pig's eight and whatnot. But lou and
- 48:59Speaker 4: Eddie haven't seen him for quite a while. They come
- 49:01Speaker 4: to see Homer, like, have you seen him? I know?
- 49:03Speaker 4: So Hammer has no idea, but he must go alone,
- 49:05Speaker 4: and it's the.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Coast full of printed breads, still from work.
- 49:09Speaker 4: Then he arrives with a thirty two piece bucket of chicken.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I can't remember the last time I bought a bucket
- 49:16Speaker 4: of chicken from KFC. I'm a burger guy or a tenders.
- 49:19Speaker 4: The actual chicken is too greasy for.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Me a little bit. Yeah, and sometimes there's not enough
- 49:23Speaker 2: meat on the.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Booth, and I just I can't now stomach the idea
- 49:27Speaker 4: of eating skin. I know, like it's the best I know,
- 49:30Speaker 4: it's the best bit I know when I get you
- 49:31Speaker 4: know kcs again, I'm like, eat the skin because like
- 49:34Speaker 4: now the idea of I'm eating skin makes my skin
- 49:37Speaker 4: crawl skin. It's skin.
- 49:40Speaker 2: This is skin, not a skin. I don't know, I
- 49:43Speaker 2: just I don't.
- 49:43Speaker 4: I love the tenders and whatever, not not the skin,
- 49:46Speaker 4: the skin. But then he sees the mob and they're
- 49:49Speaker 4: making canterfit clothes. What is the brand? It's cost Little Crocodile.
- 49:54Speaker 4: We discussed this before we recorded. It's like, because they're
- 49:56Speaker 4: planning on taking this to the more before the the
- 49:58Speaker 4: summer sail starts. It's like, do stores do this because
- 50:01Speaker 4: most of those ships made in China anyway, I wouldn't
- 50:04Speaker 4: have big summer sales. Do they just make really poor
- 50:07Speaker 4: quality ship and disguise it as the high quality stuff?
- 50:09Speaker 2: Maybe? I mean one of the things when I watched
- 50:13Speaker 2: that movie House of Gucci a few years ago, something
- 50:16Speaker 2: that I found really interesting was about it that, you know,
- 50:18Speaker 2: high end brands like Gucci will actually produce their own
- 50:20Speaker 2: knockoffs because the knockoff market is so big. It's like, yeah,
- 50:25Speaker 2: we won't put as much effort in this, but you
- 50:26Speaker 2: know we'll still get our cut from it. It's like
- 50:28Speaker 2: that's pretty wild.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Whatever happened to those videos, you know, when Trump first
- 50:32Speaker 4: did the tariffs and China's like, hey, boys, do you
- 50:34Speaker 4: know we actually make this shit over in China for
- 50:36Speaker 4: like a tenth of the price you can buy direct
- 50:38Speaker 4: from US.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I just remember my my favorite guy who was doing
- 50:43Speaker 2: the loom. I've tried to find the China Jana Jane Jana.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Can I try and tell Nickel it this China, China,
- 50:50Speaker 2: China guy and no, Whally show me the video. I
- 50:51Speaker 2: can't find it anywhere.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Damn.
- 50:53Speaker 4: Whenever I hear someone say China, like ginu, it's the hands.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I don't realize he actually has Trump so he actually
- 51:00Speaker 4: does this all the time. Like I've been watching some
- 51:03Speaker 4: things with him. It's just like he always does the
- 51:05Speaker 4: hang oh yeah, and the dance like going on. This
- 51:10Speaker 4: is such a strange time, a UFC on the White
- 51:14Speaker 4: House lawn. We're in indiocracy.
- 51:16Speaker 2: It's so strange. It is so strange.
- 51:19Speaker 4: And someone said our tweet saying, remember when everyone went
- 51:22Speaker 4: ape ship because Obama wore a tan suit in the
- 51:25Speaker 4: White House and you will see whatever on the White
- 51:29Speaker 4: House on the front of the White House lawn.
- 51:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Anyway, I just have to get machines out the self
- 51:42Speaker 4: the weapon, he thinks is drawn to the mob. He's
- 51:45Speaker 4: got a piece of chicken. When they say the weapon
- 51:47Speaker 4: is loaded with twelve original herbs and spices, it's eleven, right,
- 51:51Speaker 4: eleven herbs and spices, the real real CAFC Oh, yeah
- 51:55Speaker 4: at eleven right?
- 51:56Speaker 2: That sounds about right. Let's double check that though, because
- 51:58Speaker 2: they say twelve do that? How have they never figured
- 52:01Speaker 2: this out?
- 52:02Speaker 1: Like?
- 52:02Speaker 4: It puzzles me to no end. Surely they've figured it
- 52:05Speaker 4: out in KFC, have just paid like NDA's right to
- 52:08Speaker 4: not release it.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Well, you see so many YouTube videos or things I'd say,
- 52:14Speaker 2: here are the eleven herbs and spot.
- 52:16Speaker 4: It must be the way they cook it, or maybe
- 52:18Speaker 4: it's what they cook it in.
- 52:19Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 52:21Speaker 4: But no matter what it is, it never it never
- 52:22Speaker 4: comes out the same as KFC.
- 52:24Speaker 2: No, it never does. But then, well the first thing
- 52:27Speaker 2: comes up when you type eleven herbs, it's eleven herbs
- 52:29Speaker 2: and spices. Yeah.
- 52:31Speaker 4: But the home and we're going out in the trunk
- 52:33Speaker 4: and they make up here, Hamer says, you know you'll
- 52:35Speaker 4: think of a way out.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I have faith.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Faith is what doesn't exist. Your awesomeness is realized you're saying,
- 52:40Speaker 4: which is a great line. He changes the CD in
- 52:41Speaker 4: the boot. This took me back. Remember the old CD
- 52:43Speaker 4: change in the boot? I wrote Darren patron Saint. He
- 52:47Speaker 4: had a car had like a you know, eight CD
- 52:49Speaker 4: stacker in the boot. It was like we could take
- 52:50Speaker 4: eight albums on this character.
- 52:52Speaker 2: I was like, holy shit, and yeah, I just have
- 52:55Speaker 2: to push a button. I don't have to take a
- 52:56Speaker 2: tape out of the deck or anything like that.
- 52:58Speaker 4: What cy want number three?
- 52:59Speaker 2: Okay? Darren?
- 53:02Speaker 4: Lord fat Tony then asked for ominous music, but he
- 53:05Speaker 4: gets which song.
- 53:06Speaker 2: It's at seventeen by Janze Maudland song and kind of
- 53:13Speaker 2: bullshit as well. I mean it feels like it's someone
- 53:16Speaker 2: that I don't know how old gen Zine was when
- 53:18Speaker 2: she wrote it, but it feels like a kind of
- 53:20Speaker 2: song you would write. At seventeen was like my boyfriend
- 53:22Speaker 2: broke up with me. Yeah, well love is not really
- 53:25Speaker 2: so hard, Yeah, love is not real love.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Louie then opens up the boot because you're gonna tear
- 53:31Speaker 4: the city. Just take her a new one, and they
- 53:33Speaker 4: spray with fix a flap which would hurt, and Homer
- 53:36Speaker 4: uses a Tirerine actually didn't mind this another ego. This
- 53:40Speaker 4: sort of slidifies your theory double long tondre.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Yes, because you do the or. It was a reaction
- 53:47Speaker 2: that the town mournate anything to do with the directions.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Lou then calls in their friendship into the next Now
- 54:00Speaker 4: the flame is not as bright, but it will last longer.
- 54:03Speaker 2: That was nicely poetic.
- 54:04Speaker 4: Yes, and he advised to chop it to a noise
- 54:06Speaker 4: some people with a spotlight, and you know who they're
- 54:08Speaker 4: going to go to. It's Flanders, Yes, and they prepare
- 54:10Speaker 4: to be raptured and make him shovel with his mustache
- 54:13Speaker 4: and drinking a glass of cold coco or something nice
- 54:15Speaker 4: cold coco, and montage of photos over the credits, and yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 4: that's the end for the most part.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I stuck the landing. I don't think so.
- 54:22Speaker 4: It's an original story that I was surprised hadn't been
- 54:24Speaker 4: done yet, and it was a fun.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Ride I can't recall too. I mean, of course they've
- 54:29Speaker 2: done sort of male friendship episodes with Homer and Flanders,
- 54:33Speaker 2: but yeah, I thought this was a nice, nice spin.
- 54:35Speaker 4: On it because they would have a lot in common.
- 54:37Speaker 4: You would think, I'm remembered absolutely. Yeah, Yeah, and I
- 54:39Speaker 4: liked it that they didn't try to go back to
- 54:40Speaker 4: the status quo where it's like, well I'm the cup
- 54:42Speaker 4: now and you're the civilian. It's like, no, they're going
- 54:44Speaker 4: to be friends. Sure, yea.
- 54:46Speaker 2: What do we learn bomb? All right?
- 54:47Speaker 4: What did you learn from the episode, mister Davis?
- 54:49Speaker 2: Oh my gosh that if you want to avoid a
- 54:52Speaker 2: fatal gunshot wound, just load up on shamrock shake. Yeah.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Well his left lung was filled with it. What is
- 54:59Speaker 4: a shamrock shake?
- 55:00Speaker 2: That's maccus does it? I think they do it around
- 55:02Speaker 2: Saint Patrick's daytime. And it's just a green shake. It's
- 55:05Speaker 2: just green food dye in it. Pretty much. It'sila.
- 55:08Speaker 4: It's the same sheep, but put a clock in it.
- 55:12Speaker 2: With green food died. I'm pretty sure that's all it is.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I don't think it's got any special flavor or anything
- 55:16Speaker 2: like that. But gamrockshake. Yep, Yes, I learned.
- 55:19Speaker 4: I learned to always have a spare seat at a
- 55:21Speaker 4: book club.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Nice for the dude. From forward, your names will be.
- 55:28Speaker 4: It is now time for the Guy Davis New Name Championship.
- 55:31Speaker 4: The current leader board stands at this in first position.
- 55:35Speaker 4: We have Philip J. Hawkins on twenty four points, in
- 55:37Speaker 4: second position Clever Kyle on fifteen points, Kyl Muldoon and
- 55:40Speaker 4: in third position Nathan Briggs on thirteen points. Take it away,
- 55:43Speaker 4: is this contest over? We don't know calling it, we're
- 55:46Speaker 4: calling it rough. That doesn't stop you from bringing a
- 55:50Speaker 4: new name the result. It's it's more about the journey
- 55:53Speaker 4: than the destination show except the Phillip J.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Hawkins who was just like, I'm here already, bitches. But
- 55:59Speaker 2: one point goes to crush Hour.
- 56:02Speaker 4: That would be Heath Applebee, what on Heath?
- 56:04Speaker 2: Other?
- 56:04Speaker 4: One point that puts down three for this season.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Indeed, crush Hour a play on rush Hour.
- 56:10Speaker 4: Haven't seen any of them?
- 56:12Speaker 2: First one not that great, second one pretty good? Okay, Yeah,
- 56:15Speaker 2: apparently they're making rush Hour four because you want more. Yeah,
- 56:18Speaker 2: you know you know who the guy who likes the
- 56:21Speaker 2: UFC on the on the front the front lawn is
- 56:22Speaker 2: like making another rush Hour movie. There's good movies, agreed,
- 56:26Speaker 2: starring seventy year old Jackie cham Boy. Two points goes
- 56:30Speaker 2: to Bros Before Dope Nuts Brigsy Nathan Briggs on two points.
- 56:35Speaker 2: He now puts him to equal second on fifteen with
- 56:38Speaker 2: Clever Khail much much like you Carolyn Amine and her
- 56:42Speaker 2: multi level scripts. That's a gag. That's actually you know,
- 56:45Speaker 2: it's like Bros before and then it's you know, but
- 56:48Speaker 2: it's also like a doughnuts, which is the cop thing
- 56:50Speaker 2: because you know, with the best jokes and ones, you
- 56:52Speaker 2: have to explain it doing a really good job. But
- 56:54Speaker 2: then he also put in the doll. I'm surprised this
- 56:56Speaker 2: didn't get three points, but it only got two points. Sorry, Brigsy.
- 56:59Speaker 4: By the way, this one here, I've called it before. Right,
- 57:03Speaker 4: they can Breeze and clever Carle they both get they
- 57:06Speaker 4: get four straight three pointers. They can still win this
- 57:09Speaker 4: a little bit, all right.
- 57:10Speaker 2: You gotta be like Wemby see the three point ago.
- 57:14Speaker 4: Okay, cool, he's one that like, he's like the man
- 57:17Speaker 4: for the Spurs. He's the premiantis he's the one I
- 57:20Speaker 4: know now these days.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and because a lot of fun go pops of
- 57:24Speaker 2: Wemby about there, one point goes to cops and sobs
- 57:29Speaker 2: three points. Was it three points? Yeah?
- 57:31Speaker 4: I think it's at one point three points. It goes
- 57:32Speaker 4: to Mike Salter on Mike, he's now in twelve points.
- 57:36Speaker 4: He's coming out as well. Nice Work's alday it's insultant
- 57:39Speaker 4: as well. Yes, thank you guys for all of your
