LIVE WATCH PARTY: Musk Interviews Trump on X · Man in America Podcast

• 2:48
Seth Holehouse: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Man in America. I'm your host, Seth Holehouse, and I'm here. Sorry for the, little lapse there. I wanna start ten minutes ago, but we had a bunch of random tech issues. So, thankfully, I had the support team help me out.
• 3:02
We got everything going. So tonight is a historic night. It's a historic day for many reasons. One of which is that, mister, Donald Trump is back on Twitter. So he's now tweeting again, which is great.
• 3:16
Actually, I'll I'll show you right now just to just to get you all excited. So here we have, there is Trump again. He is active on Twitter, and it makes me wonder if whether he was playing this all along, to come back at this time. So and we're waiting for the livestream to start. Let me go ahead and refresh here, which is the purpose of this is to watch it and listen to it together and then have some discussion afterwards.
• 3:39
So let me see if I can enter into this, if it's ready yet. And it's also looks like it's not available yet. There might be some tech issues with Twitter tonight, because this is probably gonna be the biggest stream ever done on Twitter. It's my guess. I mean, between Trump and Elon, they've got close to 200,000,000 followers.
• 4:00
So let's see if this space is working yet. And, honestly, you know, folks, I'm broadcasting this because not everyone's on Twitter. So some of you prefer to watch on Rumble or YouTube or other places. I will warn folks on YouTube that if the discussion gets too unfriendly for YouTube, I'm gonna cut the YouTube stream. So just so you know, if it cuts randomly, that's why.
• 4:22
So, let's go ahead and keep looking for this to start. So it says that he's live. Let's see. Let's see here. Looks like it's kinda slow to load.
• 4:38
I mean, again, this could be okay. Well, I'll come back to that. But let's see here. Try refreshing. See, it's not just me who has the occasional tech issue, folks.
• 4:52
So this is Donald Trump's space right here. This is his details not available. So let's see. Let's take a look at mister Elon and see if he is giving us any reason why things aren't working. Let's take a look at Elon and see if there's any announcements on this.
• 5:15
Yeah. It looks like the purple screen of death. I'm not sure if this is what everyone else is seeing, but it might just take a second. I see someone commented over on Rumble that says Trump is rarely in time for this dare on Rumble. But to be true, maybe he's just being fashionably late.
• 5:32
So I'm gonna keep my eye this because I don't wanna miss the beginning of it. I don't wanna get too into a discussion and and then miss this. So I don't wanna pull myself away from this too much. Let's just try refreshing again on his page. I just wanna thank everyone for being here.
• 5:49
I mean, what a what a historic moment this is. This is pretty incredible if it works. So let's see here. I guess we're just we're just waiting to see if it works. I'm hoping it does.
• 6:07
Yeah. Let's see. Hope hopefully, it does. If it doesn't, then we'll just have a great show together. You know, I'm not I'm not Trump.
• 6:14
I'm not Elon, but I can still, you know, do a little song and a dance for you to make sure you didn't lose out on on your evening. But let's see if I'm seeing any announcements on this. Let me go and check my Twitter feed and see. And this is the nature of of these kind of live shows, folks, is that this happens sometimes. Yeah.
• 6:32
Here we go. Yep. Looks like everyone on Twitter is saying, hey. What's happening? What's the problem?
• 6:37
We got Wall Street Silver. We got Sean Fresh. Jennifer Zhang. Okay. Hey, here's Vigilant Fox.
• 6:45
He calls it, Trump and Elon Musk are about to break the Internet. Well, I think that they did, actually. At least they broke Twitter. So yeah. It looks like a lot of folks are having issues joining the space.
• 6:59
So let's hope that let's hope that this will work because yeah, it looks like a lot of folks are having trouble here. Let's see. Try refreshing. So it looks like this space is no longer up the way that it was. It's loading a dead page.
• 7:24
So Well, I don't feel as bad about my own tech issues. As much as I was freaking out, I don't I don't feel quite as bad now. So, anyway, well, I guess as we're waiting for this, let's see. As we're waiting, I'll keep a window open so that I can see it. But as we're waiting, yeah.
• 7:44
I'd love to just you know, where's everyone from? Let me know in the comments. We've got people watching all over the place. It's it's you know, I got New York State. I see who else is where all the folks are at.
• 7:56
And it looks like okay. So it looks like the he's no longer the space was no longer active. Now it's back in. The funny thing is I think that Trump now has a check mark. I'm not sure if that check mark was there before.
• 8:11
Anyway so it looks like the space isn't working yet. I mean so, folks, we are making history right now. That's for sure. Let's see here. Gosh.
• 8:26
I'd be really bummed out if this didn't work. But it makes me wonder like, I wonder if this is actually something that's not just Twitter. Makes me wonder if this is some sort of attack. I mean, obviously, this is this kind of interview really threatens the establishment to have Elon Musk and Donald Trump. And look, I I, you know, I I can't say with Elon, for instance, that, like, I have full trust of him.
• 8:54
I don't know where his allegiance ultimately is. But I look at people's words and their deeds, and I can say that his words and his deeds represent someone who truly cares about the future of this country. Right? I don't know if that's ultimately his intention, or I'm not sure if we're being led into some sort of trap. I don't know.
• 9:11
But I can tell you that that personally, if I'm looking at what he does, like, what he's doing is absolutely benefiting mankind. I mean, the fact that I'm on Twitter, you know, broadcasting stuff like this is and not just me. The fact that, you Donald Trump is back on Twitter for a space is that's it says a lot. Okay. Let's see.
• 9:32
Let's refresh. See if it's working yet. Let's see. Yes. Detail spaces details not available.
• 9:44
Let's see. Let's go back. Let's see. Yeah. It doesn't appear to be working yet, but we're waiting because we're we're patient people.
• 10:00
That is for sure. Let's go back to the main. Yeah. So cat turd can't get in. Here's a video from chief nerd showing what's happening.
• 10:12
Is this happening to anyone else trying to listen? Now it looks like he's at least he's getting some sort of image there of of showing people in this space, whereas I'm not. So let's let's just try again. Let's keep trying. It's great to be here with everybody.
• 10:34
It it's wonderful to be here with you all. I'm I'm glad that I get to spend these evenings with with my favorite people. So let's see. Let's see. Let's check something out here.
• 10:47
Let's see what kind of we're keeping him looking. Yeah. It looks like we've crashed the servers. Let's try again. Yes.
• 11:19
It looks like here's Jennifer Zhang posting saying it. It looks like there's about a 18,000 people that got into it, but then it broke it. So I'm not sure who got in or how they got in. But let's just let's try again. Yeah.
• 11:45
It's still this just this purple screen. I'm I'm sorry, folks. I I'll stay here as long as I need to. I don't want to be missing this, And I imagine that Elon Musk is aware of this problem. I doubt he's just in there having a conversation and completely unaware that this is happening.
• 12:05
So let's see here. Let's see. Now the see, now his his face doesn't have the space around it anymore. So makes you think maybe they canceled the space. Maybe they're restarting it.
• 12:27
Maybe maybe it's on Elon's page. Instead. Maybe he's gonna host it because it's not working with mister Trump. Yeah. Well, you're all you're all very patient.
• 12:51
I appreciate. I appreciate and folks, me know if there's any if there's any trolls in the especially the Rumble chat. Let me know. Because I don't want anybody here stirring up trouble. That's not what we're here for folks.
• 13:08
Someone else's here's a YouTube link that someone sent me. Let's see. Let's just try this. This different link here. Someone in the chat sent me this.
• 13:24
Oh, no. This is a fake. Just see yeah. So actually, I'll tell you guys just this as a quick warning. Someone sent this to me.
• 13:32
I'm gonna open it up in
• 13:34
Speaker 2: hearing about her choice.
• 13:36
Seth Holehouse: So this is actually so someone sent this said, hey. It's here. This is actually a fake channel. So even though it says Tesla, and it has a 65,000 subscribers, it says there's 208,000 people watching live. This is an AI Elon, as far as I'm I'm concerned.
• 13:54
This is this channel has been known. Okay. So here. Look right here. You can see oops.
• 14:02
I want that. This channel, it's pushing crypto. So you see right here? Like, it's it's a fake it is so deceptive. So I'm pretty sure the whole thing's AI, the video.
• 14:14
And what they're doing is that they're they're getting people to send in money to buy fake crypto. It's a giant scam. So please be very, very careful folks. It's just my homepage, the Epoch Times there. Yeah.
• 14:26
Please be very, very careful of those those links because it is not good. Okay. So continuing. Let's see. Let's see what's going on again.
• 14:44
Yeah. It seems like everyone is having trouble. All the all the regular folks I'm following, no one is able to access this, which I mean, what a shame. What I mean, I mean, ultimately, it's it's, you know well, who actually, who knows whose fault it is? Because this could be an absolute just a complete deep state attack on this.
• 15:14
Yeah. What a not fun. Not good. But in the in the meantime actually, I'll I'll pull something up real quick because in the meantime, just as a little quick reminder, folks, we've got our silver whip giveaway now that we have time. So every Friday, we're giving away five ounces of free silver.
• 15:32
So while you're here, while you're waiting, actually, folks, it's a perfect opportunity because you're waiting for the thing to start. And you can go and you can enter in to win five free ounces of silver. So go to maninamerica.commaninamerica.com/win. You put your name and your email in there and you get a chance of winning every Friday we're giving out five ounces of free silver. And if you enter once we keep putting you back in every week.
• 15:53
So maninamerica.com/win. Alright. So let's let's head back and see if anything is working over here. Yeah. It looks like it's not.
• 16:10
Looks like we're still having some issues. Yeah, I see a fender bender DC and rumble chat saying all other hosts are having trouble too. Let's see. Yeah. We got Tiff Swart says, Elon Trump did this on purpose.
• 16:30
I don't know. Maybe. Never know. But I mean, they've had some pretty big live spaces here. I mean, after the after the debate, I think I think I was watching it was Charlie Kirk and Jack Sobek, they had I think they had like 10,000,000 people watching live.
• 16:50
So, yeah. You got John Rich asking that somebody railroad this space. They could interview with him. Great guy. Great great guy, John Rich.
• 17:14
Well, folks, feel bad that I haven't been able show this to you yet. I mean the space. Yeah, we're sixteen minutes into this. Wait. Clown World says I'm finally in.
• 17:32
Okay. That was forty one seconds ago. So clown world is in. Let's keep refreshing. Keep trying.
• 17:41
Keep trying. No. Still no one in yet. Let's see what everyone's saying at home. Yeah.
• 18:05
Looks like most people are having an issue. Yeah. Loraluma can't get in. Yeah. Well, I I again, I appreciate your folks as appreciate your patience here.
• 18:29
Let's try refreshing this. There's already memes coming out, of course. Yeah. Here's Glenn Beck. I I know the feeling, man.
• 18:54
Glenn Beck is saying, not available. I planned my whole day around this. I don't want to miss a word. Like, I I ordered takeout tonight so that way I didn't have to cook for the family so that I could have time to to get ready for the show. It was a good takeout.
• 19:08
We had Indian. It was it was amazing, actually. But it would be quite a disappointment if this doesn't work. Let's see back. Yeah.
• 19:27
It's it's not even showing him as being in a live in a space anymore. So I see someone saying Trump posted on truth social. So juju double o seven said Trump posted on truth social. Let us know what he us know what he said. We're gonna wait patiently.
• 20:11
Tell us some jokes. Bender bender. I did actually I did hear a good one recently. A good joke for you. It's a little bit crude, but it's okay.
• 20:23
So the joke was, what do you what do you call a lesbian that's on fire? An LGBBQ. At least I thought it was funny. I heard another and actually saw another good one floating around too. And it was I was walking so I was walking through the mall and stopped in a bookstore.
• 20:49
And I asked the owner of the bookstore. I said, hey. Do you have any of the books about Trump's plan to get rid of all the illegal immigrants? And he said, get the hell out of here. Never come back.
• 20:59
I said, yeah. That one. Do you have it in paperback? So at least there's couple good jokes for you. So it's worth your time, folks.
• 21:09
I hope I hope many of you didn't kinda plan your whole evening around this like I did. Maybe you did as well. Alright. So, this COVID lockdown, I'm kicking you out, man. Sorry.
• 21:24
This guy is just trolling. He's trolling in the chat. So, we're gonna get rid of him forever. Okay. He's done.
• 21:33
He's done. Oh, so someone saying Elon just posted DDoS attack. Let's check that out really quickly. Let's go back to Elon. Let's go to Elon's page.
• 21:52
Wow. So okay. Here you go. Elon says, there appears to be a massive DDoS attack on x. Working on shutting it down.
• 22:01
Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later. Yep. So well, there. Yeah. There we go.
• 22:19
Well, that's not good. Yep. Okay. What a shame. Well, we're we're still holding out.
• 22:37
Aren't we, folks? We are still holding out. Patience, patience, patience, patience. I see I wonder let's go see what Alex Jones is saying about this and see if he if he's someone that has access to it. Let's see what he has to say on his show here, which looks like even his show is bugging out.
• 23:00
That's strange. Yeah. Even, yeah, even Alex Jones, his Yeah. Even wow. All the live streams are cut.
• 23:38
So look at this. So normally, we come on here. And on the right side, you have all your live streams. So you would have Yeah, so over here in sidebar, you would have Alex Jones, you'd have, you know, all the people that were live right now. And so even that's not working.
• 24:13
So Dom Lukra is saying that it's working now. I mean, maybe is he one of the people that got in early enough? I don't know. So there's some folks that are that are getting in. And it looks like from what I'm seeing let's just keep trying.
• 24:43
This is the space right here. Details not available. Thank you, Tantalum for answering the question. Someone asked what's a DDoS attack? It's a distributed or denial of service distributed denial of service attack.
• 25:03
I don't know. I'm not sure exactly exactly how it works, but what I understand is it's basically like the servers just get hit from every which direction from, like, unlimited number of sources. It is basically this attacks the servers. Let's see. Well well, so it's eight twenty four.
• 25:37
Maybe we'll give it till 08:30 because the other thing is that if if we miss the first half hour of it, that's also not good because then you're gonna wanna come back and watch that half hour later. So let's just let's try going back. But what it's just crazy because I mean, I've seen them. They okay. So now you can see that okay.
• 26:01
So now all the shows are back up. Right? So here we've got these back on. Let's see if Alex Jones is getting the feed. Let's see what he's saying over here.
• 26:11
And but it looks like his his feed is frozen.
• 26:15
Speaker 3: What's new? Because I hiring because I respect you. You gotta do what you want. We grew about 95%. But I what I will say, when you got a really big guess, you might not wanna announce it right away.
• 26:24
Right. Because that's when they hit you. Harrison?
• 26:27
Speaker 4: No. I'm just he says Elon Musk just posted forty two seconds ago. We tested the system with 8,000,000 concurrent listeners earlier today. So he's saying it's not a it's not a matter of the number of people joining in. It is the DDoS tech.
• 26:39
  That was a retweet
• 26:39
Speaker 3: of I believe it.
• 26:40
  Speaker 4: DDoS statement. Yeah.
• 26:41
Speaker 3: So there you go. Why are they so why would the EU and The UK threaten to not do this interview? Think of the arrogance of these people, man.
• 26:48
  Speaker 2: That's right.
• 26:48
Speaker 3: Telling us we can't hear our president and Elon Musk. I mean, what?
• 26:51
Speaker 4: That's what I was wondering. It it almost seemed like an act of desperation because they knew Elon Musk wasn't gonna go, oh, okay. Yeah. So why why would you come out and make a demand that you know is not gonna be met? I mean, it's just humiliating
• 27:02
  Speaker 2: for you.
• 27:03
Speaker 3: This is this is cyber command doing this.
• 27:05
Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, he's he's been really harsh on what's been going on in The UK for the last couple weeks. And so I think that they kinda took that personally.
• 27:14
Speaker 3: And by the way, that's a beta test, as you know, with the rest of the world.
• 27:17
Speaker 4: Well, it's happening already. There was a store
• 27:19
Seth Holehouse: So some people are saying that they're that they're in. Let me let me check some other streams here and see. Let me check the quartering. Is is he in? No.
• 27:36
Looks like he's also not in. Let's see if Andrew Tate is is he in listening? I'm checking these livestreams. Looks like he's not. And, of course, his shirt's not on.
• 27:53
Let's see. Benny Johnson is his looks like he's also not in. Okay. So hey, what people they're saying that they got in. So let's let's see.
• 28:10
Let's head back home. Yeah. Here's Elon Musk. We tested the system with eight with 8,000,000 concurrent listeners earlier today. Here's John Rich.
• 28:29
Somehow I was able to join the Elon Trump space and DJ DJT just said he's gonna annex Canada on his first day in office. You gotta love that. Let's let's just let's try again. We're gonna keep trying because we're patient people. Let's go ahead and hover over to Donald Trump's page, and let's just see if if we can get in.
• 29:03
Sorry, folks. I don't have some sort of special access, so I can be one of the few people to get in. Yep. It is still not working. Well, it's 08:28.
• 29:22
We got two more minutes. So someone says we're in on YouTube. Let's see. Maybe I can find it on YouTube. Let's let's let me go take a look on my other computer and see if I can bring it over.
• 29:49
Someone's saying that there's 24,000,000 people trying to get to get in. Let's see here. Let me just check over on YouTube. And, of course, YouTube's gonna be probably hiding these results. YouTube is just it's just is this a joke.
• 30:12
It's absolutely a joke. You can't find anything there. Yep. Sorry, folks. So people are saying okay.
• 30:58
So people some people are saying that they're getting in. Okay? So let's just keep trying. Let's just keep trying over here. Okay?
• 31:15
Wait. Looks like we're in. Looks like Donald Trump is playing some music. Okay. We're in.
• 31:34
Our patience has paid off patience is a virtue right so Okay. Well, we're in, but we've got elevator music. Wait. You okay. Well, you know, folks, I I feel like we've been on a journey together tonight.
• 32:25
I I feel like we've all gotten closer. I feel a lot closer to you. I hope that you feel closer to me. What a special journey this has been to try to listen to Trump and Musk. Okay.
• 32:40
Well, we are in. This is this is it right here. Yep. We are in. See, there's me right right next to Elon Musk.
• 33:06
Wow. He's bringing in a nice beat there for us. Thank you, mister Trump. How funny is this? It's like, okay.
• 33:20
It's like all the suspense and we we we get in. We get in. And now we've got Trump doing some DJ. It looks like my my Rumble stream is quite far behind, actually. Wait.
• 33:34
Let's see. Okay. Now we're back up. Okay. There we go.
• 33:44
Let me see. Okay. Okay. Well, I mean, at least we're in. I guess right now, honestly hey, folks.
• 34:01
Until while we're waiting, I've now got it sitting and waiting. I've got my Rumble chat open right in front of me. So let's just let's just do some q and a type stuff or or not even, you know, q and Just let me know what you what what are you thinking. I love hearing like, honestly, I I I learned so much from the audience. I I learned so much from you all.
• 34:20
So if you had if you have any questions or your thoughts, I'd I'd love to just hear what you are thinking. Okay. So Benny I guess so Kelly Fiddle says Benny Johnson said Trump and Musk will proceed with the interview at 08:30. They couldn't get in either. Yes, you know, and a student yes says probably a billion Chinese bots interfering with interview.
• 34:57
That's probably true. Yeah. Let's see. Well, DJ Donald. He's he's really rocking it out here, isn't he?
• 35:25
Well, Yes. There's a Ken and Komp sang subliminal programming music. Maybe. Oh, there's a great here's a great question. Justin McGroin.
• 35:42
How's this sweet new baby, Seth? Absolutely wonderful. So great baby Grace is almost six months old. Yeah. Almost six months now.
• 35:53
And it's just it's like the most beautiful experience. I I just I I I love children. I wish I wish my wife and I were, like, 15 younger because we probably have six or seven children. Unfortunately, that's not, you know, the case and with where we are with with life, but just it's such a beautiful, beautiful experience. She's eating solid food now.
• 36:18
It's just it's just wonderful. Like, I I honestly, like, I am I'm like the happiest dad in the world. I really am. I'm always just yeah. I just I love it.
• 36:31
I love it. Alright. So it's okay. So we're still in. I don't see Elon Musk in there anymore.
• 36:43
Maybe he got kicked out. I don't know. Let's go see what he if if he's saying I'll leave this tab open for us. Let's go see what the what folks are saying over here. Let's see.
• 37:04
Okay. This is Musk saying that, you know, again, it appears like there has been okay. So Elon said we will proceed with a smaller number of concurrent listeners at 08:30 and then post the unedited audio immediately thereafter. Okay. Let's see.
• 37:28
Is that I'm in right now. Oops. Don't do that. What? Okay.
• 37:39
Thought I exited accidentally. Okay. So we're in right now. Looks like Elon is not in yet, But we're we're waiting patiently. I to be honest, I'm kinda missing the music.
• 37:55
I was enjoying that music. Alright. So I'm seeing some lovely. Oh, thank you for folks for all the kind the kind stuff of, you know, kind mentions of the baby. Yeah.
• 38:15
So Shelby Lynn says, how's your garden growing? We're full throttle now into preserving. So, actually, we didn't do a garden this year. As crazy as that sounds coming from me, so we we moved. Last year, we moved from Ohio to somewhere else.
• 38:29
I'm not talking about publicly because people found out where I was at in Ohio. I I literally have people showing up at my front door saying, is this where man in America lives? And I lived like, I lived out in the country. So now I'm not even telling people what state I'm in. I'll tell you, I'm I'm in America.
• 38:44
I'm in I'm in the continental, you know, 48 states in America. But yeah. So we're not we we just bought a house in January. We closed in January. We did about two or three months worth of renovation.
• 38:58
Kate gave birth about six months ago, and that's been the focus. We've got a, you know, a little three year old and a newborn. So we we had these ideas of doing all these gardens, and we're saying, okay, so next season. So next season, we'll do gardens. We'll do chickens.
• 39:13
We'll do fruit trees and all that kind of stuff. So I'm just looking at the just looking at the the comments and such here. It looks like Elon's working to resolve the DDoS. Trump passes Mike off. Yep.
• 39:38
Yeah. So freestyle Kyle says, was economically forced to wait to have a child as well. Now my wife and I are pushing the practical age. Yeah. Yep.
• 39:46
My wife she's has crossed the 40 barrier. So once you once you get past 40, you're trying to have three kids or four kids more past 40. Not easy. Not easy. And this was it was a rough pregnancy for her.
• 39:59
Her third trimester was was difficult. She wasn't sleeping very much at all. Like, it was, you know, couple a couple hours a night, all the adrenaline, and then actually the so the baby so Grace, she came so quickly that it was only about an hour long labor and ended up so the midwife couldn't even arrive. So I I helped deliver the baby. It was Kate and I in the bathtub.
• 40:28
I wasn't Kate was in the bathtub, and I I caught the baby and and Grace, and she wasn't really breathing actually when I first caught her. She was very lifeless, and so I had to, like, rub her back really fast. Was we had the midwife on speakerphone, and that got her going. And it was it was honestly it was a pretty crazy experience. It was a it was a wild experience, but it was probably one of the most amazing experiences in my life, but I I don't I don't wanna do it again.
• 40:56
It was it was intense. It was intense. So so I see juju o seven saying, how many kids you have? Two. So actually, I have a stepson, my wife's son, and I have together.
• 41:09
We have June who is three, but she's turning four in about see, into September. And then Grace who was born on Valentine's Day. She was born February 14. So Yeah. Shelby Lynn saying, sometimes breaks are necessary.
• 41:29
I I absolutely agree. That's that's what I've had to learn, actually. I I we've my Kate and I both have had to learn that that sometimes you just have to say, don't have the capacity for it, which is not always easy because when you're, you know, kind of aware of what's happening in the world and and you want to be able to be resilient and everything, it's it's tough. It's tough sometimes to to say, okay, we're we're not gonna plant gardens this year. But you know, we're in a very we're in a very rural community.
• 42:01
We're like five minutes away from a raw milk farm where we get all of our milk. We're six minutes away from the local farm stand. There's farmers everywhere. I see someone asking where we lived in Ohio. We were living in Columbus area and then out in Zanesville.
• 42:20
So that was my I was out in Zanesville we had about five acres out there. So yeah. Lots of emotions on Grace's birthday. That is for sure. Okay.
• 42:36
So I'm in the space over here, and we're just we're we're waiting. You know, I guess, one thing I did I did wanna go over with you all really quickly, though, is that so Trump put out these his 20 core promises to make America great again. These were put out by him, like, very recently. I wanna run through these with you because they're pretty pretty impressive. Okay.
• 43:00
So one, seal the border and stop the migrant invasion. Oh, just so you know, folks, if they start speaking, we'll we'll probably hear it. It'll it'll come through. Just because I'm still I'm still in this space. I should be still be in the space.
• 43:14
Speaker 2: Data lines, like Oh. Basically, hundreds of gigabits of of data were set up.
• 43:19
  Seth Holehouse: Here we go.
• 43:20
Speaker 2: We've, we think we've overcome most of that. And
• 43:24
Seth Holehouse: If you can hear it, let me know in the comments. Okay?
• 43:25
Speaker 2: Time to proceed. But, as as this, this massive attack illustrates, there's a lot of opposition to people just hearing what president Trump has to say. And so but I'm honored to have this conversation. I wanna emphasize it's a it's a conversation, and it's really intended to just get get a feel for what Donald Trump is just like in a conversation. So it's hard to catch a vibe about someone if you just don't hear them talk in a normal way.
• 43:58
And when, you know, when there's when there's an adversarial interview, like no one's themselves in adversarial interview. So for and and this is really aimed at, kind of open minded independent voters who, they're just trying to make up their mind. And so you can understand, like, what is, you know, what is it just like to have a conversation? So honored to Donald, great great to to speak. We we had a a great conversation yesterday.
• 44:33
As as you mentioned yesterday, if if we could just record that conversation and post it, it would have been excellent. I hope we can have something like that today.
• 44:42
Speaker 4: Well, I think we will. I'm pretty sure we will. And congratulations because I see you broke every record in the book with so many millions of people, and it's an honor. We view that as an honor. And then you do want silencing of certain voices.
• 44:57
Usually those are voices that have something to say that are constructive, oftentimes constructive. And so we have to consider it an honor, but congratulations on breaking every record in the book tonight. That's great. Well, thank you.
• 45:12
Speaker 2: Well, maybe could start off with, I mean, the assassination attempt, which was an incredible thing. And I have to say that, you know, your actions after that mess that that assassination attempt were inspiring. You know, you instead of shying away from things, instead of ducking down, you're popping your fist in there and saying fight, fight, fight. And I think that's I mean, you know, the the the president of The United States represents America, and I think that is that is America. That that is strength under fire.
• 45:50
And, so that's, you know, a big you know, part of the reason why I was, excited to endorse you as, the the president of The United States for having enough term here is that was that was just incredibly inspiring. But but I mean, what was it like for you?
• 46:11
Speaker 4: Not pleasant. Have to be honest. Pleasant. I said that was blood. Had blood.
• 46:16
I didn't I had that much blood. The doctors later told me that the ear is a place that is a very bloody place if you're gonna get hit. But in this case, was probably the best alternative you could even think about because it went at the right angle and, you know, it was a it was a hard hit. It was very, I guess you would say surreal, but it wasn't surreal. You know, I was telling somebody you have instances like this or like a lot less than this where you feel it's a surreal situation, and I never felt that way.
• 46:53
I knew immediately that it was a bullet. I knew immediately that it was at the ear. Yeah. And because it, you know, it hit very hard, but hit the ear. And I also heard people shout bullets bullets, you know, get down get down because I, you know, I moved down pretty nicely pretty quickly and we had bullets flying right over my head after I went down, so I'm glad I went down.
• 47:18
The bigger miracle was that I was looking in the exact direction of the shooter and so it hit me at an angle that was far less destructive than any other angle. So that was the miracle. Those people that don't believe in God, I think we got to all start thinking about that. You have to, you know, I'm a believer now. I'm more of a believer, think, and a lot of people have said that to me.
• 47:42
A lot of great people have said that to me actually. But it was, it was amazing that I happened to be turned just at that perfect angle. And, all because I put down a chart on immigration that showed that the numbers were so great. I love that chart even more Maybe that's that's sign. It's an immigration sign.
• 48:02
Speaker 2: You highlighted a serious issue. Yeah. At that moment, the bullet muster, you know, he he hears it but but, you know, must muster your head. Mean, you're
• 48:13
Speaker 4: Well, the amazing thing is that the sign, I said bring down that sign on immigration, and it was literally about an eighth of a second where it would be good, and and after that, it was gonna be a disaster no matter which which way you were facing. But it just had that that perfect angle, was exactly at this shooter. Very sad situation. Such a sad situation. As you know, we lost somebody that was great, Corey, a firefighter, a a great gentleman, a great a great trumper.
• 48:45
He was just a fantastic family and a fantastic man. A friend of mine came up, Elon, and said, I'd like to give the family some kind of help. And I said, that's great. He said, do you mind? I said, I don't mind at all.
• 49:00
And he wrote out a check for a million dollars, gave gave it to the wife. And, you know, she said, this is really nice, but I'd rather have my husband back, which is a nice thing for somebody to say to be She's she's great. The family is great. And we raised a lot of money for them and for, two other gentlemen who are unbelievable people also. They were hit really badly.
• 49:21
They thought they were not gonna make it and they did. The doctors in the Butler area, I tell you, they were incredible. They saved the two and, they were really hit tough, both of them equally. And we thought Yeah. We I my first question was because I heard bullets flying over me.
• 49:39
Said how many people were killed? Because we had a massive crowd there, a tremendous
• 49:43
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 49:44
Speaker 4: Thousands and thousands of people and and there was no land. I mean, it was just it was all people. So I said, how many people have been killed? Because I knew there were other shots being fired. And and they said, we don't know yet, but some people have been badly hurt.
• 49:59
And I have to give the secret service sniper, they call them or sharpshooter, but sniper because he didn't know there was a problem. He's been he's an extraordinary shot, obviously, and he didn't know there was a problem. And he was able to pick it all out within five seconds, and he used one bullet from very far away, I guess, probably about 400 yards. The shooter was one thirty, but he was on the he was on the opposite side of the field and the podium. And he saw the the smoke and the flame from the gun, immediately recognized it, and immediately took a shot.
• 50:39
And it was one perfect shot from very far away. And and if he if he didn't do that, Elon, he would have I mean, he would have a lot of people a lot more people have been could have been badly hurt and killed. So I I have to take my hat off to him because that's also a surreal. You know, he's been with them for twenty three years, and this he's never had anything like this. And all of a sudden, has to act.
• 51:05
And it's a very tough thing to act and to be shooting somebody, But he saw the he saw the gun, saw the smoke, saw the flame from the gun very far away. I obviously, he has very good eyes. He's got very good vision, which I assume you have to have in that particular work. But he he took aim very quickly, and it was they say it was approximately five seconds from long range, one bullet. If that didn't happen because the shooter had a lot of bullets.
• 51:32
He had a lot of a lot of cartridges up there with him. So
• 51:36
Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, that that that's clearly, you know, you know, he was he was very competent in taking that shot, to stop the the assassin the attempted assassination. But but I mean, there does seem to be, I mean, some pretty significant failings, elsewhere in the system. Like, there's just no way that like, how on earth does a shooter get on a roof a 30 yards away? That seems crazy. I think most people like people are wondering how that how on earth could such a thing happen?
• 52:08
Speaker 4: Well, know, I view it as two ways. There should have been nobody in the roof. There were people Yeah. Because there were so many tens of thousands of people there. There were people that were seeing him, and there was one woman with a red shirt and Right.
• 52:24
Trump all over it. And she's screaming, that guy's got a gun. You know, you saw it probably. Yeah. Yeah.
• 52:31
A guy over there with a gun. I mean,
• 52:32
Speaker 2: it's like, I'm just I'm just I guess, I mean, for my for my part, and I think probably many members of the public are wondering how the heck are, you know, basically people wondering why pointing out there's a guy on the roof with a gun. Yeah. And they're seeing it, but somehow that's it's not being addressed. That that does seem crazy.
• 52:56
Speaker 4: Well, they're they're gonna learn from this. The communication between the local police who sort of had an idea, and then ultimately, a man lifted himself up to the roof could barely do it because, you know, he was pulling himself up. And Yeah. He saw the man with the gun. The man with the gun pointed the gun at him.
• 53:15
He thought he was probably gonna get shot, but you know he was like pulling himself up. And because of that he couldn't get to his gun and he fell down actually very badly hurt his leg, his ankle. I hear very badly, but but he fell down. And he did, you know, from what I understand, he did say there's a guy up there with a gun and the the shooting started very quickly after that. I think it I think it forced the shooter to go maybe quicker.
• 53:46
You know, was supposed to be a very good shot. Yeah. My sons, Don and Eric, they they can't believe what happened. But they said from a 30 yards, a bad shot would hit that target almost every time. They said it's like in golf sinking a two foot putt.
• 54:03
  Speaker 2: Yeah. It's it's not a hard it's not a tough shot.
• 54:05
Speaker 4: It's not a it's not a long shot. The, secret service person had the long shot. He had a, you know, triple the distance actually. So, you know, it was a terrible thing. Look, it it's hard.
• 54:20
I have to say this about the secret service. When I went down and, you know, I went down based on I think they're screaming, but other people also because people saw this happen. You know, you had so many people. One of the miracles was that nobody ran. I mean, if a gun goes off, the crowd control people showed showed us this.
• 54:40
When guns go off and it does happen in stadiums, at a soccer match, or some kind of a match, everybody flees. They call it a stampede like cattle, but everybody a lot of people get killed with those stampedes. Had more people than you'd have at, you know, some of these matches or these games and nobody left. You know, you had a small group behind us in the grandstand and that was full and you look at it as it was taking place and normally they'd be running, they didn't leave. They saw that I was hurt.
• 55:12
They saw a lot of blood and they saw that I went down and it's almost like they wanted to be with me. Out front, thousands, tens of thousands of people. As far as the eye could see, you had people in Butler as far as the eye could see. A lot of press too, know, many cameras on watching this. It's what makes it so different because normally things happen that aren't good, but you never have a picture.
• 55:38
Here we have all these cameras shooting it, so you know it's sort of amazing. But one of the interesting things was that you didn't have anybody flee. You didn't have anybody stampede.
• 55:49
  Speaker 2: Sure.
• 55:49
Speaker 4: Nobody. And there were some people behind me, they stood up and they're looking like, you know, I mean, I say you wanna have you wanna have them in a foxhole with you. I wanna meet some of those people because it's so different from what you heard. So so I was down, but the Secret Service guys, there were bullets flying right over my head. You could hear them go whizzing and and these guys came jumping on top of me and a young lady Kate, moved so fast and let me tell you that took tremendous courage.
• 56:21
There was a lack of coordination. There was you know, obviously, everybody understands that somebody that that building should have been covered. And Yeah. I mean was the big thing.
• 56:32
Speaker 2: I mean, mean, looking at the the aerial views, that building would be, like, the number one spot for a sniper. Mean, it's like it's like the if you were to pick like, what is the favorite place? What if you so if the goal is to assassinate, what's your favorite spot? That building. That building would be number one.
• 56:47
Speaker 4: That would have been the spot.
• 56:47
Speaker 2: It's like you couldn't you couldn't ask for a better location. It's like normal.
• 56:50
Speaker 4: That would have been the spot. You know what people think is when the local policeman, who by the way, you know, he really, he did what he was supposed to do. He couldn't hold on any longer. And then when he got his head just peeking above this guy standing there with a gun at his head. And when he fell down, hurt his ankle very badly, but he was making the calls.
• 57:13
But what happened is the firing took place very soon. What they think is that this guy ran to his site, which he had all planned out with a gun. He ran to the site, and he started shooting fast, and maybe that's why he, well, he sort of missed. I mean, you know, he Yeah. But that's what mean.
• 57:34
Could been a much bigger problem.
• 57:39
Speaker 2: But he totally would have hit if you hadn't turned your head. Like, you know, there was a it was a very near thing.
• 57:45
Speaker 4: It was a miracle. If I hadn't turned my head, I would not be talking to you right now. Much as I like you, I would not be talking
• 57:53
Speaker 2: to you. I mean, talking to you from another realm perhaps.
• 57:56
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. We'd be talking from a different But it was a it was a, you know, it was a very terrible experience. The the Butler Hospital, they did such a great job. The doctors were so good. Everybody was so good.
• 58:10
There was there was a mistake if if somebody knew because people were hearing that, you know, there was just a bad feeling that there was somebody was around. You know that story now. It's been
• 58:21
  Seth Holehouse: really
• 58:21
Speaker 4: Yeah. And if somebody could have said because they've oftentimes said, you know, like, there'd be a lightning storm or something because I've done, I think, over 300. I think I did a lot more than that, but we did a lot. And oftentimes, they'll say, sir, could you wait ten minutes, please? Sir, could you wait twenty minutes?
• 58:36
There's a storm overhead or lightning or something. Right? And that happens often, and this would have been a perfect time for that to have happened, but it it didn't it didn't get coordinated. That was the problem.
• 58:49
Speaker 2: Well, it was, your your I think, your your, actions in the in the heat of a fire in, you know, like, what what I find admirable there was that you you can't fake bravery under such circumstances. The courage is instinctual or it is not. It's not a rehearsed action. And so I just wanna say that, I think a lot of people admire your your your courage under fire there. And, yeah.
• 59:13
Speaker 4: So Thank you very much. I I appreciate it. I didn't I don't think I didn't think of it. I just want to get up, and I want to stand up. I want to let people know, you know, I felt I was good when when they were on top of me covering me actually, very much covering me and very bravely, but I wanted to get up.
• 59:31
I said I wanna get up and they wanted, you know, they have everything there. They wanted stretcher. I didn't like the stretcher. And I knew I was hit in the ear, but I knew I wasn't hit anywhere else. They felt I was hit someplace else.
• 59:44
Yeah. Was such a lot of blood. And they were sure that I was hit someplace else. And they were saying, sir, what you you were hit more than the year. Said, Nope, I was hit in the year.
• 59:54
I want to get up. Let me get up. And so I got up and the crowd didn't know what to think. I mean, this was so many people and you could see they were confused. They didn't know what to think.
• 1:00:07
And I wanted to let them know I was okay. Was very important for me to let them that they went wild. You've seen the after didn't go wild when I got because they didn't know was I alive. You really couldn't tell. When I stood up before the hand before the you know, the fist in the air.
• 1:00:27
They didn't know if I was alive. Nobody did. And when I put the fist up, were just relieved and happy and thrilled and the place went crazy. It was pretty amazing. It was a terrible thing, but it
• 1:00:44
Speaker 2: was a good thing. We're probably moving. Yeah. Well, and and I mean speaking of the the the sort of slide that got you to turn that, saved your life really, was was the illegal immigration, slide. This maybe this is worth talking about about that.
• 1:01:03
It was it was That slide slide says
• 1:01:05
Speaker 4: saved my Now the illegal immigration saved my life. You're right, but they would it had to be at that exact angle.
• 1:01:12
  Speaker 2: I mean that's that's a great one. Say it's saved by a legal limit.
• 1:01:16
Speaker 4: You know the the incredible thing though when you talk about the odds, you had to be exactly at that angle. But but the incredible thing is that the chart, I used it less than 20% of the time. It was just a moment.
• 1:01:29
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:01:29
Speaker 4: It's always on my left, never my right, and it's always at the end of the speech. So here we have it. It's on the right, not the left. It's at the beginning, not the end. And even the people that put it up, they were unprepared, and and they did a great job.
• 1:01:44
They got it up immediately, fortunately. But I looked to the right and and the bullet and the bullet came whizzing by hitting my ear. So it was amazing. But when you think of the odds of that and Yeah. You know, that that normally you wouldn't use it.
• 1:02:01
Normally, wouldn't have the thing. And then, you know, it would have been a very different story. It's it's very much, I I say, an act of God. It's a miracle that it happened, and I'm honored by it. I'm honored by it.
• 1:02:15
Speaker 2: Well well, what what what were you about to say about illegal immigration before you were rudely interrupted?
• 1:02:23
Speaker 4: Well, I was going to say how good the numbers were. By the way, we're going back to Butler, we're gonna go back in We're all set up and we're the people are fantastic in Butler. It's a big it's a great area. Great. These are incredible people.
• 1:02:38
Like the three that indicates that Corey killed and the other two, the the families are I get to know them a little bit, and the families are great. But we're going back to Butler, and, I think I'll probably start by saying, as I was saying, you know, prior to being so horribly interrupted. But
• 1:02:58
Speaker 2: Yeah. So rudely interrupted by an
• 1:03:00
Speaker 4: assassination attempt. But no. But the chart
• 1:03:03
Speaker 2: Some people have have no manners.
• 1:03:05
Speaker 4: Elon, the chart was just a chart that in my last week, we had the best, illegal, immigration numbers, meaning stopping. It was at the lowest. You've seen the chart. It's become quite a famous chart, but that was the lowest point ever recorded. It was a really, I mean, I was very proud of those numbers.
• 1:03:25
And then you see what happened with these people, Kamala and Joe, you see what happened. They just let it go. I had remain in Mexico policies. I had all these different policies that was so good. Guys like Tom Holman and Brandon Judd from border patrol.
• 1:03:43
I all these are all people that they've been on television. It says the best numbers we've ever had. We had so many different checks, catch and release in Mexico, not The United we had catch and release in The United States. We had it in Mexico. We had so many things.
• 1:03:57
We had things where if people many people come in there, they have contagious diseases. We had everything passed. If you have a contagious disease, I'm sorry, but we can we cannot allow you into the country. So we were setting literally records and all I was doing is showing that and I use it sometimes. And in this case, I'm glad I used it.
• 1:04:20
I can tell you that. They were fantastic numbers, but I'm going to sleep with that chart always. I'll be sleeping with that chart. That chart was was very important. Very important for a lot of reasons.
• 1:04:33
Speaker 2: Well, I mean, mean, would it be accurate to would it be accurate to say that you're supportive of legal immigration, but that we but we also need to shut down illegal immigration and especially unbedded illegal immigration because you you know and and that's that's not the same as saying that everyone who is an illegal immigrant is bad. In fact, I I think most people who are illegal immigrants are actually good, but but you can't tell the difference unless there's a solid betting of who comes across the border. Does is is does that that actually represent your position?
• 1:05:05
Speaker 4: I say it very simply. They have to come in legally. They have to be checked.
• 1:05:09
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:05:10
Speaker 4: Because look, Kamala was the border czar. Now she's denying it. Everything that I do, she's she's saying she was strong on the border. We're gonna be strong. Well, she doesn't have to say it.
• 1:05:21
She could close it up right now. They could they could do things right now. It's it's horrible. No tax on tips, and all of a sudden she's making a speech. She's saying there will be no tax on tips.
• 1:05:31
I said that months ago. And by the way, they had just the opposite. You know, they had not only tax on tips, but they hired 88,000 IRS agents, and many of them were assigned to go get waitresses and caddies and all of this on tips. They have a policy. They had a policy that they were really gonna go after you and were really harassing people horribly.
• 1:05:53
And then all of a sudden for politics, she says you know, she comes out with with what I said, which I think is terrible. And I think it's also hitting them very hard. These people are fake. Now they're also saying they did a good job in the border. We had the worst numbers in the history of the world, not of our country.
• 1:06:08
There's never been a country in history that has had a catastrophe like this. We've had, I believe, and I think you believe this too. You know, you hear 12,000,000, third I believe it's over 20,000,000 people came into our country. Many coming from jails, from prisons, from from mental institutions, or a bigger version of that is insane asylums, and many are terrorists. And I'll tell you what, they're they're coming not just from South America.
• 1:06:35
They're coming from Africa. They're coming from all over the world. They're coming from Asia. They're coming from The Middle East. They're coming from countries that are stupidly and horribly bombing Israel, October Seventh.
• 1:06:50
They're coming from all over the world. They and and, you know, you look at it's so sad October 7 because it should have never happened. Yeah. It's so sad when you look at Ukraine. It should have never happened.
• 1:07:01
We have a defective government. These are defective people, and they're not people that should be running it. But where you see it the best is the border because you had you have millions of people coming in a month, and then she gets up and she tries to pretend like she's gonna do something. She had three and a half years. And by the way, they have another five months that they can do something, but they won't do anything.
• 1:07:24
It's all talk. He's incompetent, and he's incompetent. And frankly, I think that he's more incompetent than he is, and that's saying something because he's not too good.
• 1:07:34
Speaker 2: Yeah. No. I I think it's it is essential to have a secure border. I mean, you're you're you're really not a country unless you have a secure border. And And secure elections.
• 1:07:46
You know? Yeah. Absolutely. Secure elections. And so so it's it's just essential to have a real border or or we can't function as a country and our service.
• 1:07:57
You know, our central services are being overwhelmed in a lot of cities. And and I but I as as we're talking about earlier, I think having a legal immigration process that is smooth and efficient and done well. And I know, speaking as someone who is a legal immigrant. And I think that that I mean, I like one way to think of it is who do you want on your team? You know, who like, who do you want on Team America?
• 1:08:25
And and I think we wanna just say, we we we wanna let in people who are gonna, you know, be great contributors to, our society and to our economy and, you know, and who do you want on the team? And it's and and it's not to say that, like, in in my opinion, actually, I'd say, like, probably most of the illegal immigrants actually are are are actually good, hardworking people. That's my opinion. But some are not. And, and and you just have this sort of adverse selection process where, you know, if if if somebody's, you know, if if somebody's like, you know, has a career in in theft or robbery, I I don't understand what's taken them so long to get here, because we are such a target rich environment.
• 1:09:20
I mean, you know, why aren't they why aren't more people have a career in, you know, bad things coming here sooner? Because it's I mean, it's a piece of cake to go rob, you know, houses in, LA or New York, compared to other parts of the world. And and and in a lot of places in America, if if you try to stop the person who's robbing you, you'll be arrested.
• 1:09:45
Speaker 4: Yeah. So it's That's right. I mean, what what's happening with crime? And our police are so good, but they're not allowed to do their job. But I have to tell you, Elon, I hate to say because it's such a downer to say it.
• 1:09:57
I hate to say it. I hate it, but you have a lot of people that just shouldn't be. I think it's a much bigger number than you think. They're allowing again, they're allowing people from their jails. And if you were running one of these countries where they're coming from, you would have had all of them.
• 1:10:13
As an example, Venezuela, their crime is down 72%. They're taking their drug dealers. They're taking, frankly, their prisoners. They're emptying out their prisons. They're taking, their criminals, their murderers, their rapists, and they're they're delivering them into
• 1:10:29
Speaker 2: That's what that's what cast Castro did.
• 1:10:31
Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, they did on a much smaller scale. You know, it was a much smaller scale. But this is a massive scale because this is being done worldwide. But here's what's happening.
• 1:10:40
Crime all over the world is down. And wait till you see the numbers that we have. You know, this this is migrant crime. This is crime that's that's gonna be. And I saw it today in New York where somebody was knifed, where they raped the girlfriend of a man that stood there watching in New York in one of the shelters and started pulling out the knives and bad things happen today.
• 1:11:03
But this is happening every day. These are rough people. These are people that are in jail for murder and all sorts of things, and they're releasing them into our country, and they're telling them, if you come back, we're gonna kill you. We're gonna give you the death penalty or kill you. So they don't wanna come back, But these are rough people.
• 1:11:19
These are these are criminals that make our criminals look like nice people, and it's horrible what they're doing. And and she's in charge of it because, you know, now she's trying to say she had nothing to do with it. And she's such a liar because she was called the border czar the first day and it was on the headlines of every newspaper. She's the border czar and she never even went there. She went to one location which had nothing to do with where the problem is.
• 1:11:41
You know, she went in and out, I guess, because she was getting a lot of pressure, had nothing to do with the problem. But she was the border czar and you people can't allow them to get away with their disinformation campaign. Now she's trying to say that, she wasn't, she wasn't really involved and the whole thing is horrible. She was totally in charge. She could have shut the border down without him.
• 1:12:05
He didn't know what he was doing anyways. He wouldn't have even know what You could shut the border down. He wouldn't even know the difference. But, the fact is that she was border czar, but you don't have to call her The fact is you could just call her, she was in charge of the border and the border was the worst
• 1:12:22
Speaker 2: It's simply not working. No, it's horrible. Whether it's a question of of intention or competence, either way, we we we we don't have a secure border, and we have people streaming over like it looks like a world World War z zombie apocalypse at times. And, you know, sometimes you you you you gotta sort of wonder, like, is it real or not? So I you know, because you see things here, like, is it real?
• 1:12:49
I I so I went to the border at Eagle Pass, and I saw for myself in Texas. And I was like, okay. It's real. Like, seeing this in real time. I actually posted the video, like, just live.
• 1:12:58
I just I just flew there one day and just to see, hey. Is this is this is this made up or real? And I'm I'm just seeing people stream across the border. And and I have to say, you know, at least the people I saw did not look friendly. You know?
• 1:13:12
So These are people people can look at my video and say, hey. You know, these these people look friendly. I don't look super friendly.
• 1:13:18
Speaker 4: So These are people that Elon would not be the same man if he had to walk across the street and look these people in the eye. These are rough people. These are really rough people coming across, and I know rough people. And these are people that we don't want in our country. And, you know, the caravans are coming in, and they're putting and and who's doing this is the heads of the countries.
• 1:13:38
And you would be doing it and so would I. And everyone would say, what a terrible thing to say. The fact is, it's brilliant for them because they're taking all of their bad people, really bad people. And I hate to say this, the reason the numbers are much bigger than you would think is they're also taking their non productive people. Now these aren't people that will kill you.
• 1:14:00
We have enough of them. But these are people that are non productive. They are just non productive. I mean, for whatever reason, they're not workers or they don't want to work or whatever. And these countries are getting rid of non productive people in the caravans in many cases.
• 1:14:16
And they're also getting rid of their murderers and their drug dealers and the people that are really brutal people. And they're coming into our country at levels that have never been seen before. And I saw an ad just before I got on the ad. I'm I'm walking over here, and I saw an ad by Kamala saying how she is going to provide border security. Where has she been for three and a half years?
• 1:14:39
For three and a half years?
• 1:14:40
Speaker 2: Yeah. No. No. This is just
• 1:14:41
Speaker 4: We have 20,000,000 people. It's a terrible Yeah.
• 1:14:44
Speaker 2: I think this frankly, I I think this is a fundamental existential issue for The United States. And if we have another four more years of of open borders, and it's gonna be even worth with another four more years, it's gonna be even worse than it's been for the past, you know, three and a half years. I'm not sure we've a country You
• 1:15:04
Speaker 4: don't have a country, Elon. Elon, if they get in, you will have 50 to 60,000,000 people from all over the world, not South America only. You know, we think of South America, we think of Honduras and El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico, you know, the four, but it's not that. It's everywhere. They're coming in from everywhere.
• 1:15:26
  And I had to stay
• 1:15:27
Speaker 2: in Mexico. This is a this is a super important Like, people it's like basically when I went down there I was like well where people from is like it's like almost no one was from Mexico. No Mexico left. It's just it's just it's just the border it's just the border with Mexico but the people coming in it's it's it's earth. The rest of Earth.
• 1:15:45
And and America is is only, you know, about four four or 5% of the population of Earth. It it would only take a few percent of the rest of Earth to overwhelm everything in the
• 1:15:55
Speaker 4: So overwhelmed, Elon. It's we're overwhelmed. You had to see the news tonight about New York. New York and I love that place, and what they're doing to it is horrible, what they're doing to it. And all the courts do is they try and focus on Trump.
• 1:16:09
Okay? They let's focus on Trump who did nothing wrong. I complain about a rigged election. Elon, what's happened is unbelievable. You have from Africa, from The Congo, they're coming.
• 1:16:21
From The Congo. And 22 people came in from The Congo recently, and they're murderers, and they dropped they they drop them. They take them out of jails, which is very expensive, you know, to maintain the jails. Although, they don't do too much maintaining, I can tell you. But they take them out of jails, prisons.
• 1:16:38
They take them out, and they bring them to The United States. They deposit them in The United States and say, don't ever come back or you're gonna be executed, and they don't wanna come back. But, they won't come back.
• 1:16:47
  Speaker 2: Sure.
• 1:16:48
Speaker 4: But but they're coming from Africa. They're coming from Asia. They're coming from The Middle East, they're coming from South America, they're coming from everywhere, and there are a lot of really bad ones.
• 1:16:58
Speaker 2: It's just it's it's just an everywhere on earth, thing, and it's just it's just not possible for The United States to absorb, you know, everyone from Earth or or, you know, even a few percent of the rest of Earth. It's just not possible.
• 1:17:11
Speaker 4: So Elon, we're gonna have
• 1:17:12
  Speaker 2: just to finish
• 1:17:14
Speaker 4: this up. We're gonna have the largest deportation in history of this country, and we have no choice. Otherwise, we're gonna have a country what they've what they've done to our country. Think of it with with you know, in Venezuela and in some of these other countries, crime is down fifty, sixty, 70, 80 percent, and you would be the same. You would've you would've Yeah.
• 1:17:36
Yeah. I'll tell you what. Venezuela has not gotten rid of all of them. They've gotten rid of about 70% of their really bad people. Their jails are about 50% put into The United States.
• 1:17:47
Same with other countries. Some are at 30%. Some are at 50%. They're all different. But the bottom line is they're all gonna be at a %.
• 1:17:54
  Why wouldn't you put a %
• 1:17:56
  Speaker 2: of it?
• 1:17:56
Speaker 4: And they're doing it right now while this third rate phony candidate, don't forget, I beat I beat Biden. He failed in the debate miserably. And, you know, some people said, oh, jeez. Too bad. It's too bad he did so badly, or I did well in the debate.
• 1:18:14
You know, the first night they said, wow. One of the people at CNN said that was the greatest debate performance I've ever witnessed. And then two days later, they didn't talk about that. They just said he was bad. But that's okay.
• 1:18:26
That's the way I get treated, and I don't mind that at all. What I can tell you is this, we cannot have a democrat. We cannot have her. She's incompetent. She's as bad as Biden in a different look.
• 1:18:35
She hasn't done an interview since this whole, scam started. And and say what you want. This was a coup. This was a coup of a president of The United States. He didn't wanna leave, and they said we can do it the nice way, or we can do it the hard way.
• 1:18:51
  Yeah.
• 1:18:52
Speaker 2: No. I'm they just took him out back behind the shed and basically shot him.
• 1:18:55
Speaker 4: You know? Oh, what they did with this guy. So And I'm no fan of his, and he was a horrible president, the worst president in history. And one of the reasons he was so bad first of all, the Israeli attack would have never happened. Russia would never have attacked Ukraine, and we'd have no inflation.
• 1:19:10
And we wouldn't have had the Afghanistan mess if you think of it. Well And we wouldn't have had Afghanistan. But we think of it. We you take a few of those events away, and we have a different world. We would also have
• 1:19:21
  Speaker 2: no No. You're
• 1:19:22
Speaker 4: Inflation was caused by oil.
• 1:19:25
Speaker 2: Yeah. No. No. You you you I think you're making an excellent point here, which is that, when other countries can you know, that that are, you know, are thinking about invading or doing bad things, when they're thinking about that, they're thinking about, okay. Who what's the American president gonna do?
• 1:19:40
And do they fear the American president, or is this someone they they do not respect or and do not fear? And I think they they do they do they would they have to rightfully be. I mean, but, you know, look look at that the footage with the assassination. They're like, okay. You know, the president Trump is is like, don't mess with me.
• 1:20:03
I mean, that's like whereas I think people are are not gonna be and they obviously have not been at all intimidated by by Biden, and they certainly will not be intimidated by by Kamala. And you have to really think about in the context of global security. That's that's that if the if the American president is someone someone that, like, you know, evil dictators are scared of, that makes a huge difference to the security of the world.
• 1:20:29
Speaker 4: So I had a good relationship with Putin despite the Russia Russia Russia hoax that lasted for over two years. Just a hoax created by Hillary Clinton and, Adam Shifty Schiff, some just bad people, you know, just sick people, frankly. I mean, Schiff Schiff is a sick person. He's gonna end up probably being a senator. It's hard to believe.
• 1:20:48
The whole thing is hard to believe. But, the you know, they put our country in danger with that stuff too. They actually when they make up stories, then you have to fight your way out of it for a long time. But I know Putin very well. I got along with him very well.
• 1:21:01
He respected me, and it's just one of those things. And he would we would talk a lot about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye, but I said, don't ever do it. Don't ever do it. You know, I shut down Nord Stream too.
• 1:21:13
That was the big oil pipeline, the biggest I think the biggest pipeline in the world going all over Europe. I shut it down. Biden came, and then they say, I I you know, I was I loved Russia. I was a friend of Putin, and I loved Russia. No.
• 1:21:24
He actually said to me one time, he said, if you're my friend, I'd hate to see you as an enemy. I shut down his pipeline. The biggest pipeline, they were looking at that to fund, and this this pathetic president gets in there. And the first thing he did, one of the early things he did is he shut down he he shut down Keystone XL pipeline, which is our pipeline that would have employed 48,000 people, pipeline workers, shuts it down. That was, you know, a massive job that Obama refused to allow.
• 1:21:57
Yeah. I allowed it in my first week because it was jobs and it moved oil. And by the way, in a much more environmentally friendly way, it's underground. It's not a truck that catches on fire or a train that catches on fire. But think of it.
• 1:22:10
He shut down the, XL pipeline, the Keystone XL pipeline.
• 1:22:16
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:22:16
Speaker 4: He shuts that down, and he approves the Russian pipeline.
• 1:22:21
Speaker 2: Yeah. It does it doesn't make any It's
• 1:22:23
  Speaker 4: like it's
• 1:22:23
Speaker 2: inconsistent. Certainly. The but but I mean, I I think it's just worth emphasizing, you know, to listeners the that the the the the immense importance of of whether The United States President is intimidating or not intimidating, and how much that matters to global security. Because, there's some real tough characters out there. And if they don't think the American president is tough, they will do what they wanna do.
• 1:22:49
I know everyone of puts off that that put that it puts the whole world in danger.
• 1:22:53
Speaker 4: Elon, I know every one of them, and I know him well. I know Putin. I know president Xi. I know Kim Jong Un of North Korea. I know every one of them.
• 1:23:00
And let me tell you, people will say, oh, this is terrible. He said, I'm not saying anything good or bad. They're at the top of their game. They're tough. They're smart.
• 1:23:10
They're vicious, and they're gonna protect their country. Whether they love their country, they probably do. It's just a different form of love, but they're gonna protect their country. But these are tough people at the top of their game. And when they see a Kamala or when they see, Biden, sleepy Joe, they can't even believe it.
• 1:23:27
They can't believe this happened. The all the stuff that you're seeing now, all the horror that you look at Israel. They're all waiting for an attack from Iran. Iran would not be attacking, believe me. You know, when I was there, and I say it with respect because I think we would have been good with Iran.
• 1:23:44
I don't wanna do anything bad to Iran, but they knew not to mess around. Iran was broke because they told China, if you buy from Iran oil, it's all about the oil. That's where the money is. But if you buy oil from Iran, you're not gonna do any business with The United States, and I meant it. And they said, we'll pass.
• 1:24:03
They didn't buy oil. Other countries, likewise. If you wanna buy, you're not doing business with The United States. And they they were at a point where they were they had no money for Hamas. They had no money for Hezbollah.
• 1:24:13
They had no money for any of these instruments of terror, and it was amazing. In fact, there were articles when I was leaving, which is hard to believe actually, especially when you look at what's happened to our country. Our country is so bad right now. It's such a different place. We were respected.
• 1:24:30
Think of it. Four years ago, we were so respected to a point where when I said don't buy oil, they didn't buy oil, but they had no money. Yeah. And Israel would have never been attacked. It is zero chance.
• 1:24:43
And again, I said to Vladimir Putin, said, don't do it. You can't do it, Vladimir. You do it. It's gonna be a bad day. You cannot do it.
• 1:24:52
And I told him things that what I do, and he said, no way. And I said, way. And you know, it's the last time we ever had the conversation. He would he would never have done I got along well with him. I hope to get along with well with him again.
• 1:25:07
You know, getting along well with them is a good thing, not a bad thing. I got along well with Kim Jong un. When I met with president Obama just before entering, you know, it's a sort of a ritual. And I sat down with him and we talked. It was supposed to be for a very short period of time.
• 1:25:22
It turned out to be a long period of time. I said, what's the biggest problem? He said, North Korea. I had that problem worked out very quickly. It was nasty at the beginning with Rocketman and, you know, all the different things.
• 1:25:33
But all of a sudden, I got a call
• 1:25:35
Speaker 2: some those were some epic tweets, by the way.
• 1:25:37
Speaker 4: Yeah. They were no. They were epic. Everything. He said he said that he has a red button on his desk.
• 1:25:42
I said, I have a red button on my desk too, but my red button is much bigger, and my red button works. And then I called him little rocket man of little rocket man. Anyway, here's the bottom line. All of a sudden, I got a call from him, and they said they wanna meet. They wanna meet me, and we met Yeah.
• 1:25:59
As you remember, we met in Singapore. We met also in Vietnam, and, I got along with him great. We were in no danger. But president Obama president Obama thought we was gonna end up in a war, A nuclear war with him. And let me tell you, he's got a lot of nuclear stuff too.
• 1:26:15
He's got plenty of nuclear. He can do plenty of damage. So
• 1:26:19
Speaker 2: Yes. I mean, because, you know, I mean, people like like Kim Kim, you know, Kim Jong un, they respond to strength, not weakness. Well,
• 1:26:28
  Seth Holehouse: he and
• 1:26:29
  Speaker 2: I had a good relationship.
• 1:26:31
Speaker 4: Remember I remember I met him and we walked onto his land. Nobody ever walked onto his land before. I walked on I wouldn't say let's bring up secret service again. I wouldn't say they were thrilled when I did that. I walked onto his And, it was it was an amazing period, but we were not in danger with him because of me.
• 1:26:51
You know, I always that we have enemies on the outside, and we have enemies on the inside. We have some really bad people in our government and people that are and controlling of the people. I mean, I'd mentioned names, but I I don't I really don't wanna give them the credit. But we have some really bad and I say they're more dangerous than Russia and China. If if you have a a smart president, a president that gets it, we are not in danger from those countries because they need us and they need our help.
• 1:27:21
I mean, we forced Obama if you think about it, Obama and Biden and Bush to a certain extent in all fairness, forced Russia and China together. And if you're a history student, the first thing you learn is you cannot let Russia and China align. But then they also got, if you take a look, Iran, and they have North Korea. That's you know, they call it the access of evil. In the old days, you had the access of evil.
• 1:27:48
Here we have a modern day access of evil. These are powerful countries, very heavy nuclear, which is the biggest threat. You know, the biggest threat is not global warming where the ocean's gonna rise one one eighth of an inch over the next four hundred years. The big and you'll have more you'll have more oceanfront property. Right?
• 1:28:06
The biggest threat is not that. The biggest threat is nuclear warming because we have five countries now that have significant nuclear power, and we have to not allow anything to happen with stupid people like Biden. You know, Biden, did something with Russia. There was no chance of him ever going in. And when I left and then then after I left, they started forming big armies on their on the border with Ukraine.
• 1:28:34
Right? And I looked at that, and I thought he was doing that because Putin's a good negotiator. I thought he was doing that to negotiate. But then Biden started saying such stupid things. For instance, he said that, it can be a NATO country.
• 1:28:48
Now put Russia for for as long as there's been NATO has said, we're never gonna agree to that. And we go right up front and say that. And we did things and said things through this president with a low IQ, very low IQ. He had a low IQ thirty years ago, by the way, but now he might not even have a IQ at all. There is no there's nothing on the board that goes this low.
• 1:29:10
He said things that were so stupid that that that war would have been that war had zero chance of happening if I were there. Zero chance. He was saying everything the opposite. Everything the opposite. And it's so sad because many more people have been killed in Ukraine than you read about.
• 1:29:30
You don't read about how bloody it is and how deserved. Hey. Look. Just in the two armies, you lost a half a million people. And Yeah.
• 1:29:38
  Speaker 2: And, you
• 1:29:38
Speaker 4: know, Ukraine's having a hard time. Ukraine I don't know if you saw the article recently, and it's you don't hear the true story. But if you think about it, Russia's gone you know, Russia defeated Germany with us, and they defeated Napoleon. You know, they've been around a long time. They're a big fighting force.
• 1:29:55
Yeah. So And it's very unfair. And Ukraine now doesn't have enough men. They're now using young men and very old men to fight. And it's it we're in a very bad position.
• 1:30:08
And I'm not gonna blame exclusively, but I can tell you I could have stopped that and a smart president could have stopped that. It wouldn't have happened. But we had a we had a man that actually made it it made it more prevalent. It it it was so bad. The words that he was using, the stupid threats coming from a stupid face that that he was using.
• 1:30:30
I said, this guy's gonna cause us a war. He's gonna cause us and let me tell you, it can lead to World War three. That can lead to World War three. The Middle East can lead to. We have numerous places that could end up in a World War three right now for no reason whatsoever.
• 1:30:44
Speaker 2: I think you're right. I think I think people under underrate the risk of World War three. And it's just the the you know, when when looking at the risk of global thermonuclear warfare, it's game over for humanity. And, you know, that's it's something that people have I think after the end of the cold war, people have become complacent about, but they actually have forgotten that there are currently a lot of nuclear missiles that that that are that that have targeting parameters for The United States, other And one
• 1:31:14
Speaker 4: of the things we're gonna do is we're gonna build an iron dome over us. We're you know, Israel has it. We're gonna have the best iron dome in the world. We need it, and we're gonna make it all in The United States. But we're gonna have we're gonna have protection because it just takes one maniac to, you know, start something.
• 1:31:29
We're gonna have protection, and we're gonna have why shouldn't we have an iron dome? Israel has one. Some other places have one that nobody even knows about, frankly. But, Israel has it. We're gonna have an iron dome.
• 1:31:40
But, you know, with all of that being said, to me, that's so important, the most important. But with all of that being said, the election's coming up, and the people wanna hear about the economy and the fact that they can't buy groceries because they don't have enough money to buy groceries. The inflation has killed them. Food prices are up fifty, sixty, even a % in some cases, and this this stupid administration allowed this to happen, and it's a shame. And that's the thing that people most care about, in my opinion.
• 1:32:09
They care about the border a lot, and we discuss the border at great length. It's it's nice to have a forum like this where I can discuss something at length. And by the way, you think Biden could do this interview? Do you think that Kamala could do this interview? They would take a pass on you.
• 1:32:23
  Speaker 2: They could not.
• 1:32:24
Speaker 4: So the the they don't need Elon they don't need Elon screaming out questions. It's it's pretty sad when you think that somebody that does this for a living can't answer a question or is afraid to do an interview. And in her case, with a very friendly interview, she's got all friendly interviewers. It's pretty sad. Absolutely.
• 1:32:43
Big thing now is the economy, Elon. And as much as Yeah. I mean, I viewed nuclear as the single most important thing, but a lot of people don't a lot of people don't understand that, but it doesn't have to if I understand it, that's all you need because if I was president, you're not gonna have that kind of a problem. But the the thing that they really is making them angry is what Kamala and Biden have allowed to happen to the economy. It's a disaster with inflation.
• 1:33:10
The inflation, it doesn't matter what you make. The inflation is eating you alive. If you're a worker or if you're a a, just a a middle income person, you can't afford. You know, four years ago, five years ago, people were saving a lot of money. Today, they're using all their money and borrowing money just to live.
• 1:33:30
  It's it's a horrible thing that's happening. And we'll end that Well, I think
• 1:33:33
Speaker 2: a lot of yeah. Lot of people just don't don't understand where inflation comes from. Inflation comes from government overspending because the checks never bounce when it's written by the government. If the if the if the government spends far more than it brings in, that increases the money supply. And if the money supply increases faster than the rate of goods and services, that's inflation.
• 1:33:55
So so really, we need to have we need to reduce our government spending and we need to reexamine. I think we I think we need like a government efficiency commission to say like, hey, where are we spending money that's sensible? Where is it not sensible? And and we need to live within our our means. We we we're we're currently adding, I think, a trillion dollars to the deficit every roughly every hundred days.
• 1:34:20
And, you know, the the interest payments on the national debt have now exceed the defense budget. It's on the order of a trillion dollars.
• 1:34:28
  Speaker 4: It's interest
• 1:34:29
Speaker 2: And it's and it keeps it keeps growing.
• 1:34:30
Speaker 4: Rebuilt our military, largely rebuilt our military, did a great job on it, which was so important. You know, we had jets. We had fighters that were, and bombers that were 70 years old. We we did a great job in that. Then we by the way, then we gave 85,000,000,000 of it back to Afghanistan, if you can believe it.
• 1:34:47
We gave them 85,000,000,000. You know, they're one of the largest sellers Yeah. Of military equipment in the world. They're selling what we gave them. That was one of the most embarrassing days in the history of our country.
• 1:34:58
But, if you think about go let's go back to the, the economy. We have to bring energy prices down. Energy started at the price of gasoline. Now your cars don't require too much gasoline. So, you know, you're you have a good and you do make a great product, I have to say.
• 1:35:15
I have to be honest with you. That doesn't mean everybody should have an electric car, but these are minor details. But your your product is incredible. But but the gasoline, Elon, is the the the cost of energy. Not only gasoline, it's the cost of heating your house and cooling your house.
• 1:35:32
Has to come down. It's gone up a %, a 50200%, and that has to come down. When that comes down, and we're gonna drill baby drill. You know, they stopped drilling, and then they went back to drilling because they went went back to the Trump policy. But if they won the day after they get into office, we're gonna this country will go out of business because they're gonna go to an energy policy that's not sustainable.
• 1:35:59
Wind and different things. You're not gonna have anything. And and I know you're a big fan of the AI, and I have to say that AI, and this is shocking to me, but AI requires twice the energy that the country already produces for everything. So what you're gonna have to build we're gonna have to build a lot of energy if our country will be competitive with China because that's our primary competitor for this on the AI. You're gonna need a lot of electricity.
• 1:36:28
You're gonna need tremendous electricity, like almost double what we produce now for the whole country if you can believe it.
• 1:36:37
Speaker 2: Sure. Well, just going, you know, back to this, like, this this this basic thing which that people try to make it sound complicated, but it's not. But inflation is caused by government overspending. Would would you would you agree that that we need to take a look at government spending and and and and have perhaps like a government efficiency commission that that just look tries to make the spending sensible and so the country lives within its means just like just like a person.
• 1:37:03
Speaker 4: The waste is incredible, and it's nobody negotiates prices. You used to have a lot of people making jets, and you end up with two companies, and they'll probably try and merge at some point. You you I mean, I I went through it. Like air just a a thing like air force one. One of the first documents they asked me to sign a general officer, sir, would you please sign this document?
• 1:37:24
And what is it? Air force one. That's with Boeing, which is basically two planes, two seven forty sevens. And the price was $5,700,000,000 for two planes. Now Wow.
• 1:37:35
  Now they're highly sophisticated.
• 1:37:36
  Speaker 2: That's insane.
• 1:37:37
Speaker 4: They're even nicer than your plane. Okay? But much more sophisticated. They're very I won't say what's on it, but they got a lot of stuff on it. Anyway, but it's 5.7.
• 1:37:45
  I Listen.
• 1:37:46
  Speaker 2: That's a crazy
• 1:37:47
Speaker 4: crazy number, but I said, I'm not gonna pay 5.7. I'm not gonna do it. I said, who made the deal? Obama and his people. I said, well, then I know the deal's no good.
• 1:37:55
I'm not gonna do it. And over a course of about four weeks by my saying I'm not gonna do it, I got the price reduced by $1,600,000,000 for the exact same plane other than we had a nicer paint job if you wanna know the truth. But for the exact same plane, I got I saved one. And I said to Boeing, man, you guys must make a lot of money if you can reduce the price by that. But now what I do here is that they're going back to the, Biden administration and wanting big cost overruns, you know, because they see these dopey suckers in there, and they'll end up getting, some of the money back.
• 1:38:30
But I shaved it by $1,600,000,000 for the exact same plan. And and you can now take that and multiply that out times thousands of other items. And the numbers are astronomical. I agree with you.
• 1:38:45
Speaker 2: Well, I mean if so so I mean I mean I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that takes a look at these things and and just ensures that the taxpayer money, taxpayers hard earned money is spent in a good way. And and I and I'd I'd be happy to help out on such a commission
• 1:39:06
Speaker 4: I'd love it. If it
• 1:39:06
  Speaker 2: were formed.
• 1:39:07
Speaker 4: Well, you you're the greatest cutter. I mean, I look at what you do. You walk in and you just say, you wanna quit? They go on strike. They I won't mention the name of the company, but they go on strike and you say, that's okay.
• 1:39:18
You're all gone. You're all gone. So every one of you is gone, and you are the greatest. You would be very good. Oh, you would love it.
• 1:39:24
But, you know, if you look at argin
• 1:39:26
Speaker 2: Well, I'd be happy to
• 1:39:27
Speaker 4: congratulations. I just looked at the number of people that are listening to you and I chat. We'll call it a chat. But Yeah. Congratulations.
• 1:39:35
This is very good. I mean, it's great. It's and and you're an interesting character. You know, the new head of a place called Argentina, and he was he's a big you know, he's he's great. And he's a big MAGA fan.
• 1:39:50
You know that he ran on MAGA, and he took it to an extreme too. He ran on MAGA, and I hear he's doing really a terrific job. It's called make Argentina great again. It worked out perfectly. He came in and he bought a lot of hats he brought over, but he's he's doing a big job.
• 1:40:06
He really cut, and I'm hearing they're starting to do pretty well. Inflation's getting down. You know, they had like 2000% and they had inflation like like not normal inflation. They had the the real deal, but we're gonna have that pretty soon. We we have I think we have the worst inflation we've had in a hundred years.
• 1:40:25
They say it's forty eight years. I don't believe it. I think we have the worst. They don't include a lot of the items that should be included, you know.
• 1:40:33
Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, it's it's it's it's just from from government overspending and and not just not spending taxpayer money. Yeah. Effectively and and having, you know, just depart like so many departments, you you can't even name them all. And what Malay is doing is, you know, he's he's cutting government spending.
• 1:40:52
He's he's simplifying things. He's having you're putting in regulations that make sense. And I and and and we're Argentina overnight is experiencing a giant improvement in prosperity. But but it's also a lesson for The United States, is that Argentina used to be one of the most prosperous countries in the world, know, the I think in the in the thirties, forties, and and because of bad government policy, it ruined the country. And and if you take Venezuela for example, Venezuela should be incredibly prosperous.
• 1:41:28
They they have, you know, phenomenal reserves of of everything, oil, everything, and it should be prosperous, but if the government's wrong, it it impoverishes the people. And so I think we should not be complacent in The United States in thinking that and taking out prosperity for granted, because if if with bad government policy, we can run the country into the ground. And that that's that's just something people should bear in mind. Don't take prosperity for granted.
• 1:41:54
Speaker 4: Well well, think of education. So we're ranked at the bottom of every list of the top 40. We're ranked number 40, number 38. Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, those different countries are ranked good. Actually, China's pretty close to the top.
• 1:42:12
They're a top six or seven, but we're ranked at the bottom, almost at the bottom, 38, 30 nine, 40. In other words, horrible. And yet we spend more per pupil than any other country in the world. So we spend more. And what I'm gonna do, one of the first acts, and this is where I I need an Elon Musk.
• 1:42:28
I need somebody that has a lot of strength and courage and smarts. I wanna close-up department of education, move education back to the states where come where where states like Iowa, where states like Idaho, you know, not every state will do great because states that basically aren't doing good now. You look at, Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. He, he's terrible. He's does a terrible job.
• 1:42:54
So he's not gonna do great with education. But of the 50, I would bet that 35 would do great and 15 of them you know 20 of them will be as good as Norway. You know Norway is considered great. You can name them. Mean, they're just so good.
• 1:43:14
Some of these countries are so good. But if you go into some of these really well run states, you know, we have states that don't know what debt is. We have states that have low taxes, no debt, everybody working, you know, they're really well run. Sure. And maybe they have certain advantages in terms of location, in terms of, you know, the land or the the sun, the sun and the water and the whole thing.
• 1:43:36
You know, there are lot of advantages that some people have. But if you moved education back to the 50, you'll have some that won't do well, but you'll have but it they'll actually be forced to do better because it'll be a pretty bad situation. But but if you think about it Yeah. You'll have some of these states. I'll bet you'd have thirty, thirty five states.
• 1:43:55
It'll be much better. And you know what it'll cost? Less than half what it is in in, Washington. And these people don't care about the students in these, you know, faraway states, and it will be it'll be unbelievable. Yeah.
• 1:44:08
Speaker 2: I think you're making a good point in that. If the states have to have to if if each individual if each state has to compete against other states, then then people will naturally That's right. Move to to states where it's better.
• 1:44:21
Speaker 4: Well, like California, you know, as we said, it's it's a badly run state. I could go through I got so many friends that are in those states even if they're democrats. I hate to mention certain states, but Illinois is badly run with Pritzker. He's a he's a real loser. But Yeah.
• 1:44:36
But, you know, some of these places are just badly run. But, you know, it's almost gonna force them to run better, and they won't do a good initially. But but can you're not gonna do worse than you're doing right now. And I would say that the cost you would cut your cost by 50 or 60%, and you'd have a little monitor. You know, you wanna make sure they're teaching English as an example.
• 1:44:58
Know, give us a little English. Right?
• 1:44:59
Speaker 2: Sure. Right? No. But I mean, to to to what I mean I mean, some of these governors are, like are are doing so badly. I mean, they they got so many people moving out of their state.
• 1:45:08
They should they should get U Haul Salesman of the Year award because they're driving so much U Haul
• 1:45:13
  Speaker 4: It's actually amazing.
• 1:45:14
Speaker 2: People people moving out.
• 1:45:15
Speaker 4: Isn't it amazing to you as a businessman that they can even survive? Like Illinois, so many people are leaving and you wonder how do they survive? I mean, do they survive? I saw where you left California and you moved to Texas. Texas does a great job.
• 1:45:33
You know, I mean I just wonder how do these states survive when big businesses, a big oil company just left California as you know and they moved to Texas. How do these big states survive when they lose so many businesses and their taxes are already really high? You know, the taxes are among the highest taxes. You almost wonder how do they do they continue on? And in many cases, the governors don't do a good job in their crime ridden places.
• 1:46:01
You wonder how do they continue to just go on? It's it's not it's not a good situation.
• 1:46:07
Speaker 2: I mean, I think the thing that's the only thing that's gonna force some of these states to change is if they risk bankruptcy and they're not getting bailed out by the federal government.
• 1:46:15
  Speaker 4: Right. Well,
• 1:46:16
Speaker 2: you you don't have to gonna get them changed.
• 1:46:18
Speaker 4: You remember the area in California where they had that where I guess, somebody had sticky fingers and they sold a lot of money, and, they went into a form of chapter, and it was very nasty for a period of time, but now it's probably the most popular place in all of California. So so, you know, at some point, something like that may have to happen. But the problem is, you can't penalize people that loan money to the state when you have incompetent people like a Pritzker. Look. The family didn't want him in the family business, and, then he ends up being governor of Illinois.
• 1:46:54
So, you know, what? Is he gonna be is he gonna be a great governor? And, you know, you you have people. I could name every one of them. I got to know every one of these, and some are very good and some are just horrible.
• 1:47:05
Speaker 2: Well, I think that I mean, that larger point here too, you know, as you as you're saying, like, you know, a lot of people are concerned about the economy. A lot of people are concerned about inflation. And inflation is effectively a tax on people that that that save money and and and for people that are working day to day. It's it's it's just it's just a form of taxation. And and if if we can solve the government spending problem, we'll solve the inflation problem, which means people will have a better standard of living.
• 1:47:29
  And that's that's a really big deal.
• 1:47:30
Speaker 4: The people that got hurt worse are the people that did it the way they were taught to do it all through, you know, their younger life and their their young life and their whole life. The people that saved money, and then they got no interest on their money and inflation destroyed them. And frankly, they were almost better off if they didn't do anything like that. I mean, those people have been absolutely decimated, and we're gonna bring those people back and help those people. We've gotta get the prices down.
• 1:47:58
You know, when I look at bacon costing five four or five times more than it did a few years ago, when when you look at some of the food products and and groceries, those people go, they can't believe it. They used to be able to buy a whole cart, and today, you know, a lot of people just don't have the money. They go in and they can't buy anything. They they look
• 1:48:17
  Speaker 2: at Yeah.
• 1:48:18
Speaker 4: It's it's sticker shock. They call it sticker shock. Right?
• 1:48:22
Speaker 2: I I think it really just come like I said, things just come down to to to really I guess, to really to two things, which is is that if if you solve government overspending, you solve inflation, which improves living standards of the of the the average person. And then and then if if you deregulate, like, sensible regulations. So because a lot of the regulations are nonsensical and and cause the cost to be extreme for no reason. And the the but unless you've got effective deregulation like Reagan did did a great job on deregulation in the eighties, but it's been forty years since we hadn't had anyone really I mean, during your administration, we we made some progress, but I think the opportunity to make, I think, radical progress with sensible regulation. And and and and if if Well, Elon, we those two things.
• 1:49:08
Yeah. Those are the big deals.
• 1:49:10
Speaker 4: We set a record. We set a we did more deregulation and more, restrictions on all of the different businesses than any other president. I remember I had the rule for everyone we put in, you have to get rid of 10 or 12. And we we did Yes. Radical cuts on all of that, and a lot of that's being put back by this administration.
• 1:49:31
And we did radical cuts and things that weren't necessary, but we were we were all set. You know, we had the best economy ever maybe in the world. And then what happened is COVID came in, and we had to focus on that, and nobody knew what it was. And I always say I got good marks on economy, good marks on military. We knocked out ISIS.
• 1:49:50
We did so many different things. We rebuilt. But, know, I never got the credit that we really deserved on what we did with COVID. We never got the credit, but were had that not happened, the gift from China, from Wuhan, came in from Wuhan, the Wuhan labs, and I always said it and it turned out to be right. But had that not had that not happened, we were set to start reducing debt.
• 1:50:17
We're gonna reduce taxes further. I gave the largest tax cuts, and we're gonna reduce taxes still further for middle income people, not only businesses. But we did it for businesses because they're the ones that that's why we had the great job numbers. But we were set to really start reducing debt. And, you know, we we're sitting on the the biggest pile of liquid gold anywhere in the world, bigger than Saudi Arabia, bigger than Russia, and we were gonna drill, and we were gonna make so much money.
• 1:50:45
We were gonna supply Europe with oil. I had stopped the Russian pipeline, and we were gonna supply them with oil and gas. We were gonna we were gonna make a fortune. And then, the COVID came in and we had a we really had a divert. Then what happened is when they came in, you know, we we kept a lot of businesses alive.
• 1:51:03
If I didn't do what we did, we would had a 1929 type depression. But the problem is when Biden came in, he got trillions of dollars and just started spending it stupidly. You didn't need it anymore. You know, we got over that bad period where it was everybody was dying and, you know, it was it was just not a good period. Interestingly, you know, during his administration, many more people died during his administration of COVID than during my administration, and we really got the brunt of it.
• 1:51:35
But people don't realize more people died during his administration than ours. But it diverted us from doing what I wanted to do, But we had the greatest for, you know, almost three years. We had the great and you know that probably better than anybody. So many of your friends said to me the best years we've ever had in business were during the Trump years. And and also said that African American, Hispanic American were so incredible.
• 1:52:04
They were having the best Asian American women, men, young people without a diploma, young people that graduated from the best colleges, from MIT, from the Wharton School, from all of the great colleges, Harvard, they were doing better and people without a diploma were doing better. And everybody was happy. And then COVID came and we had The problem is they spent trillions and trillions of dollars they wasted. They shouldn't have taken any money, and we wouldn't be having inflation right now, which is killing our country.
• 1:52:36
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, I should probably say something about, like, you know, maybe maybe my views on, you know, climate change Yeah.
• 1:52:43
And oil and gas, because, I mean, I think it probably different from what most people would assume. Because I my my views are actually pretty, I think, moderate in this regard, which is that I I don't think we should vilify the oil and gas industry and the people that have worked very hard in those industries to provide the necessary energy to to support the economy. And and if we were to stop using oil and gas right now, we would all be starving and the economy would collapse. So it's you know, I don't think it's right to sort of vilify the oil and gas industry. And and I and I, you know, the the world the world has a certain demand for oil and gas, and it's probably better if The United States provides that than than than some other countries.
• 1:53:26
And and it would it would help with prosperity in The US. And at the same time, obviously, my view is is like we do over time wanna move to a sustainable energy economy because eventually you do run out of I mean, you run out of oil and gas. It's it's not there for it's not infinite. And there is there is some risk. I think it's not the risk is not as as high as, you know, a lot of people say it is with respect to global warming.
• 1:53:54
But I think if if you if you just keep increasing the parts per million in the atmosphere, long enough, eventually, actually simply gets uncomfortable to, to breathe. People don't realize this. If if if you go to if you go past a thousand plus per million of of c o two, you start getting headaches and nausea. And so we're we're we're now in the sort of 400 range. We're adding, I think, about roughly two parts per million per year.
• 1:54:19
So, I mean, it still gives us so what it means is, we still have quite a bit of time, but but so there's not like we don't need to to rush and and we don't need to, like, you know, stop farmers from farming or, you know, prevent people from having steaks or Right. Basic stuff like that. Like like, you can leave leave the farmers alone.
• 1:54:39
Speaker 4: I agree. How crazy is that where, I mean, you have farmers that are not allowed to farm anymore and have to get rid of their cattle and the whole the whole world is a little crazy, but it's largely taken its lead from us. I I do say though, I've heard in terms of the fossil fuel because even to create your electric car and create the electricity needed for the electric car, fossil fuel is what really creates that at the generating plants. And so you sort of can't get away from it at this moment. Mean, someday you might be able to, but I do hear we have anywhere from a hundred to five hundred years left.
• 1:55:17
You know, much of it hasn't even been found yet. Yeah. But there are tremendous like ANWR. I got ANWR in Alaska approved. Ronald Reagan couldn't do it.
• 1:55:25
Nobody could do it. Everybody tried. Nobody could do it. I got it approved. The first thing that Biden did was unimprove it to get rid of it.
• 1:55:35
He, ended it. His, his secretary went in and she ended it. And what a what a disgrace. That's Anwar. That's bigger or they they think it could be bigger than Saudi Arabia in Alaska.
• 1:55:48
Could be bigger than Saudi Arabia. But they went in and they terminated it, and I'll get it going very quickly because not only is it big for Alaska, mean, you talk about economic development, that for The United States, I mean, that that is they say bigger than Saudi Arabia or the same size and pure, really good stuff. And, you know, they ended. So I think we have, you know, perhaps hundreds of years left. Nobody really knows.
• 1:56:15
But during that during that time, something will come around that
• 1:56:18
  Speaker 2: will be
• 1:56:18
  Speaker 4: very good.
• 1:56:19
Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I mean, my my estimate would be, you know, a little more aggressive than that, but it's it's not the sort of like we're all going to die in five years stuff that that's obviously BS. But I mean, my view is like if you just look at sort of the past 1,000,000 that increments every year, you know, you get sort of two or three plus million every year of CO2. I mean, I think some of that it's problematic if it accelerates if you start going from two or three to say five. And then there may be some situations where you get just a step change increase in the CO2.
• 1:56:56
And and I I think you we don't we don't wanna get too close to a thousand PPM because, like, that's that's actually makes it uncomfortable to to to to breathe. Like, just existing in in a thousand PPM. CO two is is uncomfortable. That's that's like a that's considered like an industrial hazard. Right.
• 1:57:16
Just so so it's, you know, that that's that's actually start getting headaches and stuff. So it's even without global warming, it's it's not it's not comfortable to live. So you wait you don't wanna get too close to that a bit. I I mean, I think we've got I I think we wanna just move over, like and and if if, I don't know, fifty to a hundred years from now, we're we're we're, I don't know, mostly, sustainable, I think that'll probably be okay. So it's it's it's not like the the house is on on fire immediately, but it it I think it it is something we we need to to move towards.
• 1:57:49
And on, you know, on balance, it's probably better to move there faster than slower. But but, like I said, without vilifying the oil and gas industry, and and and without causing hardship in the short term, I think this can be done, with without, you know people can still have, you know, a stake and they can still drive gasoline cars and this, you know, it's it's it's okay. It's like it's not I don't think we should volley people for it, but I think we should just just generally lean in the direction of of sustainability. And I I actually think solar is is gonna be a majority of of Earth's energy generation, in the future, and it's certainly trending that way. And and so you get the solar power, find that with with with batteries.
• 1:58:38
So obviously the sun doesn't shine at night. And, and then you use that to charge the electric cars, and you have a long term sustainable solution. And, you know, that that's what Tesla's trying to move things towards, and I think we've made a lot of progress progress in that regard. But when you look at our cars, we we we we'd like we don't believe that environmentalism that caring about the environment should should mean that you have to suffer. So we make sure that our cars are are beautiful, that they drive well, that they're fast, they're, you know, sexy.
• 1:59:05
I mean, they're they're they're cool. In fact, literally, I mean, the sexy joke model s, model three, model x and y spells out sexy. It's probably most expensive joke out there. But I, you know, I just I don't know. Like cheesy humor, you know.
• 1:59:17
So and but but I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm a big fan of, like, let's have an inspiring future, and let's Yeah. Let's work towards, you know, a a better future and and and we could do so without demonizing.
• 1:59:29
Speaker 4: Right. I'm I'm okay. You know? You know, it's very interesting. You use the word global warming and today they use the word climate change because, know, you have some places that go up and stuff.
• 1:59:39
So they were getting themselves in a little trouble with the the word global warming because not every place is warming. Some places are going the opposite direction. But, you know, I'm I'm sort of waiting for you to come up with solar panels on the roofs of your cars and on the trunks of the cars, and it just seems like something that at some point you will come up with. I'm sure you'll be the first, but it would seem that a solar panel on on the roofs, you know, on flat surfaces, on certain surfaces might be good Yeah. At least in certain areas of the country where you have the or the world where you have the sun.
• 2:00:10
But I would I would think, and I have no idea because that's not my world, but I would think that this would be, something that would be interesting. But, you know, the one thing that I don't understand is that people talk about global warming or they talk about climate change, but they never talk about nuclear warming. And for me, that's an immediate problem because you have, as I said, five countries where you have major nuclear and and, you know, probably some others are getting there, and that's very dangerous. That's why you need a strong American president because you just you don't wanna have this proliferation. But you have five countries and getting more.
• 2:00:48
You know, China is much less than us right now, but they're they're gonna catch us sooner than people think. They're way lower. Russia and Us are number one, and we were sort of tied. And China is far behind, but they're developing at a level that, you know, you're not surprised to hear very fast. It's gonna they'll end up catching up, maybe even surpassing.
• 2:01:10
But to me, the biggest problem is not, climate change. It's not and and and everything's, you know, a problem, but it's degrees. To me, the big problem is the nuclear power. The power of nuclear is so great. And when I talk
• 2:01:25
Speaker 2: about I'll prevent world surrendering this.
• 2:01:27
Speaker 4: I'll prevent World War three. I will. But but the truth is that you have to because this is no longer army tanks going back and forth and shooting at each other. This is Yeah. A level of destruction and power that nobody's ever seen before.
• 2:01:43
Speaker 2: Yeah. And, actually, there's there's the bad side of nuclear, which is nuclear war, very bad side. But there's there's also, I think, nuclear electricity generation is underrated.
• 2:01:53
  Speaker 4: You're right.
• 2:01:54
Speaker 2: And it's actually you know, people have this fear of nuclear nuclear electricity generation, but it but it's actually one of the safest forms of electricity generation. It's it's it's just a huge misunderstanding. And, if you look at the injuries and deaths, you know, caused by say I mean, I'm not gonna try to pick on coal mining, but just any kind of mining operation. And, you know, there's a certain number of of injuries and deaths per year. And you compare that to nuclear.
• 2:02:21
Nuclear is actually, way better. So it's it's underrated as a as an electricity source, and I think it's it's something that's worth reconsidering. But there's so much regulation that people can't get it done. That, you know
• 2:02:33
Speaker 4: Maybe they'll have to change the name. The name is is a rough name. There are some areas like Yes. Rough when you see what happened in
• 2:02:39
Speaker 2: The the bad branding.
• 2:02:40
Speaker 4: Branding problem. Rebrand it. We'll have to give it a good name. We'll name it after you or something. You know?
• 2:02:46
No. It has a hey. It has a branding problem. You know? When you see what happened
• 2:02:50
Speaker 2: It does have a branding problem.
• 2:02:51
Speaker 4: When you see what happened in Japan where they say you won't be able to go on the land for about three thousand years. Did you ever see that? And in Russia where they had the problem where they you know, the there's a lot of bad things happened, and, they have a problem. And they say that in two thousand years, people will start to occupy the land again. You know, you realize it's pretty bad.
• 2:03:10
  No.
• 2:03:11
  Speaker 2: That's not true.
• 2:03:11
Speaker 4: But there's you're right about it.
• 2:03:13
Speaker 2: It's it's actually not that bad. So so like after Fukushima happened in Japan, like, people were were asking me in California, you know, are we worried about, like, a nuclear cloud coming from Japan? I'm like, no. That's crazy. It's it's actually it's not even dangerous in Fukushima.
• 2:03:27
I actually flew there and and and ate locally grown vegetables on TV to prove it. And donated a a solar water treatment. Yes. A solar powered system for a water treatment plant. And Yeah.
• 2:03:40
  But you haven't been failing
• 2:03:41
Speaker 4: so well lately, and I'm worried about it.
• 2:03:43
Speaker 2: No. No. But I
• 2:03:44
  Speaker 4: I'm only kidding. I'm fine.
• 2:03:46
Speaker 2: You know? It's it's like, you know, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were were bombed, but now they're they're like full cities again. So it's really not something that, you know
• 2:03:56
  Speaker 4: That's right.
• 2:03:57
Speaker 2: So it's it's not it's not as scary as people think, basically.
• 2:03:59
  Speaker 4: But
• 2:04:01
Speaker 2: let's see. I mean, I mean, are there some other topics we should touch on? Oh, you know, like lawfarer, think, you know, we need to be concerned about
• 2:04:09
Speaker 4: What they've done to this country. Obviously. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we just won the big case in Florida.
• 2:04:14
This was a a Biden administration did something that's never been done in this country, and that's go after their political opponent, me, with this nonsense, and just nonsense. And the big case in Florida, we won, but they've they always pick a judge and a jury, and they use local DAs. They use the local attorney generals like Fani, you know, Fani, spelled f a n I, Fani. And it's it's all a big hoax, and it's all run from there. Like in Manhattan, the one of the top people from the justice department went in, ran Manhattan, ran the state.
• 2:04:52
The Leticia James deal was run by a person from the Department of Justice, Biden. They've never done this before, and they set up a very bad precedent. It it's it's called lawfare, warfare. It's Yeah. It's a terrible thing and never happened in our country.
• 2:05:09
It does happen in Banana Republics and third world countries, but it's never happened. And the incredible thing is it actually drove my numbers up because people see you know, fortunately, I have a platform like you or, you know, in all fairness, like a conversation like this where I can talk about it and people understand. I mean, you you fight for election integrity, and you end up getting indicted because you're fighting for election integrity. And when the day comes that you can't fight for election integrity, you don't have a country anymore. So what happens what happens is they went after their political opponent, me, now Biden's, you know, close to vegetable stage in my opinion.
• 2:05:50
Okay? I I looked at him today on the beach, and I said, why would anybody allow him? The guy could barely walk. Why would anybody allow him? Does he have a political adviser that thinks this looks good?
• 2:06:03
You know, he thinks this looks good because it looks so bad and it's it's ridiculous. I mean, and he's been doing that for a long time. Know, he can't lift the chair. The chair weighs about three ounces. It's meant for children and old people to lift, and, he can't lift it.
• 2:06:20
The whole thing is crazy. It's clearly not I mean,
• 2:06:23
Speaker 2: it's clearly like, we just don't have a president
• 2:06:24
Speaker 4: right don't have a president, and she's gonna be worse than him because she is a San Francisco Liberal who destroyed San Francisco, and then as attorney general, she destroyed California. You talk about location, and we're talking about the sun and the water and all. There's nothing better than California. She has destroyed that. She was the original DA.
• 2:06:46
She was the original in San Francisco. She was the original attorney general in California. What she has done to California is well, you know better than I do. You just left California for a lot of those reasons. And what she's done with with crime, with with cashless bail, where you kill somebody, I mean, we have states that you kill somebody and they let you out right away.
• 2:07:09
I mean, you you don't have to even put up and then they never find the people unless they kill again, and then they let them out again. Our our country is becoming a very dangerous place, and she is a radical left San Francisco liberal, and now she's trying to protect. Now she's looking like she's she wants to be more Trump than Trump, if that's possible. I don't think it's possible, But she wants to be more Trump
• 2:07:31
Speaker 2: than Yeah. I want a wall.
• 2:07:33
Speaker 4: I want I think that's You know what? She wants to release all the prisoners that are in detention, and some of these guys are really bad.
• 2:07:40
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 2:07:40
Speaker 4: That just came out today. She wants she doesn't wanna build the wall even though the walls work. Walls and wheels. You know, in your business, everything you do is obsolete. Oh, not the tunnels, but everything is obsolete.
• 2:07:51
Even your rocket ships, they're like a month later, they're obsolete. You find a better way to. The only thing that's not obsolete is a wall and a wheel. And the wall you know, I built hundreds of miles of wall, and that's why we had such good numbers. I was gonna add 200 miles.
• 2:08:08
We bought it. We could have flipped it flipped it up in three weeks, and they sold it for 5¢ on the dollar. That meant I said, wow. That means that they actually do wanna have open borders. She wants to have open borders, and now she's going like she's tough on the on the border.
• 2:08:25
  It's such a lie. Yeah.
• 2:08:26
Speaker 2: This is simply not true. Is simply not true.
• 2:08:28
Speaker 4: And everybody knows it's not true. It's a disgrace that she keeps saying.
• 2:08:32
Speaker 2: No. I mean, obviously, what what's happening sort of overnight is they're they're rewriting history and, and making, Kamala sound like a moderate when in fact she is far left, like far far
• 2:08:44
Speaker 4: left. Worse than Bernie Sanders. She is considered more liberal by far than Bernie Sanders. She's a radical left lunatic. And if she's gonna be our president, very quickly, you're not gonna have a country anymore.
• 2:08:58
And she'll go back to all of the things that she believes in. She believes in defunding the police. She believes in no fracking. Zero. You don't now all of a sudden she's saying, no.
• 2:09:08
I I will I really wanna see fracking. The day that if they got in, the day she got in, she'll end fracking. And by the way, if people didn't think that, the lunatics that what that really believe in that, they won't vote for her. You know, like like the Palestinians and Israel, she is so anti Israel, and she's bad for both. Biden actually did something that was impossible.
• 2:09:33
Both sides hate him. You know? Both sides. That was a hard thing to do. Unification.
• 2:09:40
Speaker 2: Yeah. No. No. I mean I mean, the you know, Netanyahu came to give a a talk to a joint senate and house, sitting, and I was there, and and and Kamala stood him up. You know?
• 2:09:53
  What does that say?
• 2:09:55
Speaker 4: I think it's highly disrespectful. And I say if you're a Jewish person or if you believe in Israel, if you're a person that, you know, is a very pro Israel, if you vote for her, it's worse than Biden, and Biden was bad. But if you vote for her, you ought to have your head examined. And you see tonight I mean, as we're doing this, I'm seeing reports coming that they expect an attack tonight or tomorrow from hundreds and maybe thousands of rockets. You know, their iron dome as they call it, as we all call it, but their heel that they built, that can be swamped.
• 2:10:31
We use the term that's appropriate swamped, but they swamp it by shooting enough missiles. You know this better than anybody by shooting enough missiles. They can't defend themselves. You know, they just obliterate the whole place. And that's what some people think they're looking to do.
• 2:10:48
And we have no leadership. There's no respect for The United States Of America with these people. And I'm telling you, you'll be worse than him because he's a believer in being radical left, and he wasn't.
• 2:10:59
Speaker 2: I think you're right. I mean, you really, it's important for the for the public that may be listening to this to say to look at Kamala's track record, you know, before the last like month and say, is that a track record you agree with? And I think if you're an independent moderate, you definitely would not agree with it because it is her behavior has been far left. And we're seeing just an overnight propaganda attempt to rewrite history and make it sound like Kamala's moderate when she, in fact, is is not moderate.
• 2:11:29
Speaker 4: Well, her her running mate approved, signed into legislation, tampons in boys bathrooms. Okay? Now that's all I have to hear. Tampons in boys bathrooms. And that means she believes in that too.
• 2:11:44
  I mean,
• 2:11:45
  Speaker 2: she picked
• 2:11:46
Speaker 4: this guy because he was the closest to her. A lot of people thought she'd pick sort of the opposite, but she picked an anti Israel radical left person. But she is far worse, they say, than Bernie Sanders. If we have her as a president, if we have a Democrat at this moment as the president, I don't think our country can survive.
• 2:12:09
Speaker 2: I I think it's I think it's a massive I think I think we're in massive trouble, frankly, with with the Kamala administration, and that's my honest opinion. And and I I think I think really it's essential that that you win for the good of the country for this election. And I mean, that's understating my opinion. Now, you you know, you may you may have seen this, but I I got a letter from the the the EU Commission, like, saying, you know, to not have disinformation on the like, during this discussion that we're having, like and, you know, there's, like, there's there's a lot of attempts to do censorship and to force censorship even on Americans, from other countries. And, you know, what do you think about that?
• 2:12:56
Speaker 4: Well, I know the, European Union very well. They take great advantage of The United States in trade, as you know. We, through a different form, NATO, we protect them. And yet, if you build a car in The United States, you can't sell it in Europe. You just can't sell it.
• 2:13:15
It's it's impossible. The same thing with our farmers. Our farmers find it very difficult to do business. You know, we have a deficit with them of $250,000,000,000, which people don't know. It sounds so nice to European Union, but let me tell you, they're they're, not as tough as China, but they're bad.
• 2:13:33
And I let them know it, and that's probably why they notified you. No. They don't treat, our country well. We defend them, You know, with Ukraine, so we're in for 250,000,000,000, and they're in for about 71,000,000,000, and they have the same sizes. If you add up the European nations that, you know, for in terms of an economy, it's about the same size when you say as us.
• 2:13:56
And they're in and and they're in much greater risk. They they're right there. We have an ocean separating us from in this case, the enemy would be Russia. Used to be for the Soviet Union, but let's assume they're close enough. What happens is, they're in for 70 something million, I I think I think even less than that, billion, and we're in for about 250,000,000,000, and it could be a lot higher than that.
• 2:14:25
And I say, why aren't you gonna equalize? Why aren't they paying what we're paying? And they're in much more you know, they're it's much more important for them because of the fact that, you know, they're right near there. I mean, they're all sort of in that location. We're not.
• 2:14:39
But they should they should and I did it with NATO. We were there were only seven countries that were paid up in NATO out of 28 at the time. And The United States was
• 2:14:51
  Speaker 2: subsid Yeah.
• 2:14:52
Speaker 4: The United States was subsidizing NATO, tremendously subsidizing NATO. And I said I went in and I said, you gotta pay up. If you don't pay up, we're not gonna defend you any longer. I took a lot of heat. But you know what happened?
• 2:15:04
Billions and billions of dollars came flowing in. And Yeah.
• 2:15:08
Speaker 2: I I think I think a lot of the public isn't isn't aware of the fact that The United States pays a disproportionate share of of the NATO expenses.
• 2:15:16
Speaker 4: And then we can take an advantage you have on trade. So think about it.
• 2:15:20
Speaker 2: Well, I mean, point of NATO is defending Europe, and it's, you know, it's it's like then okay. Well, why why is The United States paying disproportionately more to defend Europe than Europe? That doesn't make sense. That's unfair. And that that is an appropriate thing to address.
• 2:15:36
Speaker 4: Well, you know, when you talk about cost cutting and savings and everything else, I mean, honestly look. There's nobody that feels worse about the Ukraine situation than I do because I know it would have never happened. I know Zelenskyy. He was very honorable to me because when they went with the Russia hoax and they said I had a phone call with him, he said it was a perfect phone call. It was a great phone call.
• 2:15:56
He could have grandstand it and, you know, said, oh, he he was very threatening. He said, no. It was a very nice phone call. He's like, I called him up to congratulate him on his win, and you end up, getting impeached because these people are lunatics. And I was talking about the difference from the people within and the enemies on the outside.
• 2:16:15
In many cases, the people from within are more dangerous for our country than the Russians and the Chinese. If you have a smart president, you're not gonna have a problem with them. You're gonna make you're gonna do things.
• 2:16:26
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 2:16:27
Speaker 4: Now they've taken advantage of us incredibly, but you're gonna do things with the right person.
• 2:16:32
Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I I I think I think it's obvious that you're you're you're a believer and an advocate of of free speech because during your first time as president, you were attacked relentlessly every day, often very unfairly with fault, you know, with with false attacks. And and you didn't try to shut down the media. You didn't try to inhibit their freedom of speech. And I think that says a lot.
• 2:16:54
Speaker 4: Well, the good thing is that you and I have and some people, very few, we can get the word out. Although sometimes it's hard because they don't wanna print it, you know, like like we're having a great conversation right now. Kamala wouldn't have this conversation. She can't because she's not You know, she's not a smart person, by the way. She can't have this conversation.
• 2:17:15
And Biden, we don't even have to talk about it. I mean, he couldn't have this conversation. He'd he would've given up on the first half of a question. He would've walked out. He would've said, where am I?
• 2:17:25
Where am I going? So anyway but, no. He wouldn't have this. That's true. Not a lot of people would have this conversation, but,
• 2:17:31
you know, we cover a lot of territory. But, you know, we cover a lot of territory. But the beauty is that you you know, we can have a conversation and Yes. Yes. You have a without because I get to be this fairly frank.
• 2:17:41
Speaker 2: A really big point. You can actually have a conversation with you.
• 2:17:45
  Speaker 4: Yeah. It's nice, isn't it?
• 2:17:46
Speaker 2: And you can't have a conversation with Biden or Kamala. It's like not it's not possible.
• 2:17:50
  Speaker 4: That's true.
• 2:17:50
Speaker 2: It's so this is like talking to an MPC.
• 2:17:54
  Speaker 4: No. So
• 2:17:54
  Speaker 2: it's just impossible.
• 2:17:55
  Speaker 4: But think
• 2:17:55
  Speaker 2: of it.
• 2:17:56
Speaker 4: We need a man or a person who's unbelievably sharp in order to stop all the nuclear danger and all the dangers that I'm talking about. And I got along with all these. You know, I got along with Kim Jong Un. We had dinner. We had everything, and he he really liked me, and I got along with him really well.
• 2:18:14
By the way, he's he's the absolute boss over there. You know, a lot of people said, oh, do you think he really Yeah.
• 2:18:19
  Speaker 2: That's true.
• 2:18:19
Speaker 4: Tell you. I saw things that you don't wanna know about. He is the boss, but we had a good relationship, and and he doesn't like, Biden. He considers him as a stupid man, he said. He's a stupid man.
• 2:18:32
Well, at least he speaks his mind. But, you know, in this country, you're not sort of allowed to say it, but I guess you are. You should be allowed to say
• 2:18:38
  Speaker 2: it if
• 2:18:38
Speaker 4: it's true. But we need really we need smart people, and we need people that have an ability to lead, and she doesn't have that ability. Can you imagine now you know chairman Xi very well. Can you imagine her and him negotiating or even standing together? It is the whole concept is ridiculous.
• 2:18:59
She is terrible. She's terrible. But she's getting a free ride. I saw a picture of her on time magazine today. She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live.
• 2:19:08
I it was a drawing. And, actually, she looked very much like a great first lady, Melania. She looked she looked didn't look she didn't look like Camilla. That's right. But of course, she's a beautiful woman.
• 2:19:21
So we'll leave it at that. Right?
• 2:19:23
Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, you know, maybe it's like I think part of what, you know, people in America wanted you know, people in America wanna wanna feel excited and inspired about the future. They wanna feel like the future is gonna be better than the past, and that this that America's gonna do things that are greater than we've done in the past, reach new heights that make you proud to be an American and and excited about the future.
• 2:19:46
Speaker 4: Want the American dream back. You know, they want the American dream back more important than anything else. It's it's like you don't have that today because the people they've been just sucked. They see incompetent people running our you know, the the Biden thing is very interesting. People just found him to be incompetent.
• 2:20:05
And when I debated him, I was like, is this for real? It was
• 2:20:10
Speaker 2: Yeah. It was just absurd. But I mean, I think there there are like, you know, some some, you know, grand projects that that that we we could do. I mean, I think, like, you know, we we could we could build a base on the moon. We could send American astronauts to Mars.
• 2:20:24
We we could build build build high speed connections that are, you know, more advanced than anything else in the world between our cities so people have fast transport. You know, it's possible to solve traffic with tunnels. Right. We've we've you know, we already made great progress in Vegas doing that. And, you know, and and and just do things that are exciting and inspiring and make the future feel like it's better than the past.
• 2:20:48
Speaker 4: Well, I saw what you did in Vegas, and I'll tell you it was amazing. I I got to see I took a big glimpse at it, and it's incredible what you you know, it's incredible. And you could do that all over. You could do that all over. It's it's deep.
• 2:21:01
Yeah. You don't even need much structure, you know, assuming you're in the right area.
• 2:21:04
Speaker 2: No. It's it's straightforward. It's amazing. So and and, like, I think we could do some some things that, like like, China's got incredible high speed rail between its cities, but I think it's actually possible with with with tunnels. If if it was deregulation with with an ability to actually where it's like legal to to to actually do the tunnels, then you could have high speed, tunnels that are actually better, than than than anything else in the world for high speed transport between cities.
• 2:21:33
And that would be something that, you know, Americans can say, wow. Okay. We've we've got something that's cooler than anyone else in the world. That's that's the kind of thing that makes you proud to be
• 2:21:42
Speaker 4: an American. Safer than surface, trains where there is a danger there, you know, with people with crazy people. It's much safer, much better. And, you know, it's sad because I've seen some of the greatest trains. I I find it fascinating, and I've seen the systems and how they work and the bullet trains they call them, I guess.
• 2:22:00
And they they go unbelievably fast, unbelievably comfortable with no problems. And we don't have anything like that in this country, not even close. And it doesn't make sense that we don't. Doesn't make sense.
• 2:22:14
Speaker 2: Yeah. I I think also like there's, you know, I just I'm kind of hopping on the excess regulation, but I think something that like, I think people can generally understand is that what what happens with laws and regulations is that they just there's more and more of them every year. And unless there's a process to clean them up, eventually everything becomes illegal. And and that actually slow slow it slows down the development of new technologies. I mean, if you take the sort of, I think there's room for some reform at the at the FDA for improving the speed with which we approve drugs that that could help save lives and improve people's lives.
• 2:22:51
Speaker 4: And I worked very hard on that. Know, we got that down to to the lowest number ever, and we got, therapeutics approved in the FDA that people can't even believe the speed, but I took them on. I don't think they like me too much, but I got things approved in the FDA at numbers that they wouldn't believe. And, you know, it's a very bureaucratic group. Actually, it's a fine group of people in many cases.
• 2:23:17
I got to know a lot of them, but I was pushing them really hard for Regeneron for so many different things that that were really pretty amazing. But but the FDA takes too long. They would it's twelve years to get a product approved. I got it down to four and I got some things done very quickly, but it's, it's really something that is gonna have to be worked on because it takes too long. Just takes too long.
• 2:23:42
Speaker 2: Yeah. It it just takes too long, and and it's yeah, you end up in the same with with the approval, but it just it just, you know, it takes years instead of something that that I think could potentially take months, that improves improves people's lives.
• 2:23:54
  Speaker 4: I think,
• 2:23:55
Speaker 2: you know, and and but but it I I just wanted to hop on this point that, like, there has to be an active process for reducing rules and regulations because otherwise, they they just keep building up every year to get, like, hardening of the arteries, and eventually everything's illegal or takes forever. And and then and then we we we just just ossify as a society. We just we can't make any progress. And and that's it. It's a really
• 2:24:24
Speaker 4: big deal. Elon, just getting back to the FDA for one second. I got something done called right to try. This is where you can go in and if you're terminally ill, you can use a space age, you know, medicine or whatever it may be. We have the best doctors, the best labs in the world.
• 2:24:39
We really do. And but people would go to other countries because you couldn't use this the product even if they thought it worked because it's going through the FDA. I got it approved where you can you you basically look. Nobody wanted the doctors didn't want because of the liability. The country didn't want it.
• 2:24:56
Our country because they didn't wanna get sued. These are people terminally ill. The insurance companies didn't want it and the pharmaceutical companies, nobody wanted it. I got everybody into a room and we came up with an agreement that you won't get sued. And also, they didn't want it on their record if somebody's terminally ill and they die after taking a drug.
• 2:25:14
They didn't want that on their record. So we set a second a separate list if somebody was so it wouldn't count as the negative. Okay? And as you know, we got it done. We have saved right to try.
• 2:25:24
They've been trying to get this done for fifty eight years, and it sounds simple, but it wasn't because it's, you know I mean, you know, the insurance companies, nobody wanted it, but we got it done.
• 2:25:34
  Speaker 2: Sure.
• 2:25:34
Speaker 4: Somebody signs you sign a document that you're not gonna sue the insurance companies, the country, you're not gonna sue anybody, and we got it done. And we're saving tens of thousands of lives. Right to try. Hopefully, you never need it. But if you do, you don't have to travel to Asia.
• 2:25:51
You know, people, if they had money, they go to Asia.
• 2:25:53
  Speaker 2: They go
• 2:25:53
Speaker 4: to Europe. If they don't have money, they go home and die. That's what happened. They'd go home and die. Yeah.
• 2:25:59
  Well, I mean, I I
• 2:26:00
Speaker 2: actually took to to give you some some props here. It's like if a drug is improved in the in in Europe, which has a crazy amount of regulations, it should obviously be approved in The US. Yeah. I mean, they got more regulations than we do. So what why would a drug be approved in Europe and not in The US?
• 2:26:15
  That that's crazy.
• 2:26:16
Speaker 4: Well, we did it. We did something that really they've been trying to do it for fifty years, and they just couldn't get it done, and I got it done. And it's, it's really something. But you're right. Some people go to Europe because a drug isn't approved here, but it's approved in Europe, and it's a drug that generally speaking would work.
• 2:26:32
  It's pretty crazy. Absolutely. You're right. And I I I
• 2:26:35
Speaker 2: think so as long as people are properly informed of of the pros and cons and, these are the risks, there's, you know, there's a risk, and, like, you make your own decision. Yeah. That that makes sense.
• 2:26:45
Speaker 4: Well, think just, you know, in sort of closing up, and by the way, I'm looking at the numbers. You get a lot of people listening. I hope you don't get nervous because you got a lot of people listening to you right now, like 60,000,000 or something. What is that number? It's crazy.
• 2:26:59
It's amazing how you can see that right away. How many? What is the number? Wow. What is it?
• 2:27:11
Well Wow. I I think in terms of people That's a big that's bigger than you said. You you said 25 and you're more than much more than double that number, 25,000,000. I think you're gonna be 60 or 70. And I guess over a period of time, hey.
• 2:27:24
That's I congratulate you. Do I get paid for this or not?
• 2:27:31
Speaker 2: I think actually in terms of number of people that will will hear this conversation over the next few days, two weeks, it it's gonna be a hundred
• 2:27:41
Speaker 4: That's what they say. Yeah. That's good. Well, look. It's an honor.
• 2:27:44
I but I I just asked this. Are you better off now or were you better off when I was president? Nobody's better off now. You know, we put out polls on that, and nobody's better off now. Inflation has killed it.
• 2:27:59
And, you know, they also feel very unsafe. You look at what's going on with a lot of different things. You look at the riots we had in the colleges over I mean, it's ridiculous, but Right. All of the rights, they just feel unsafe. And now they really feel unsafe because you have a new form of crime.
• 2:28:13
It's called migrant crime. I call it Biden migrant crime. Maybe I'll call it Kamala migrant crime.
• 2:28:19
Speaker 2: But, you know, I mean, with all these things, I always try to, like, try to get to the ground truth by just asking people. And, you know, my my mom lives in New York, and I I was like, you know, mom, you know, do you know what? Have any of your friends, you know, been attacked or assaulted? And she said, yeah. Three of her friends in in three separate incidents were assaulted just just just in recent months, just walking around the streets in New York.
• 2:28:40
And and I and and I said, well, what what happened to the people I sold them? Oh, nothing. They they they got away. Like and and that that they just know
• 2:28:49
Speaker 4: They always get away.
• 2:28:50
Speaker 2: Nothing's gonna and they don't ever and that they don't even bother reporting it because there's not they know that there's not they're not gonna you know, people are not gonna get prosecuted. They just they just let, you know, violent criminals out in New York.
• 2:29:03
Speaker 4: The only one that gets prosecuted is Donald Trump. They don't get they prosecute Trump.
• 2:29:08
  Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's it's it's just obviously messed up.
• 2:29:10
  Speaker 4: Oh, it's terrible.
• 2:29:11
Speaker 2: If violent criminals are being are being getting off scot free. And and and meanwhile, the the the, you know, New York spending massive resources prosecuting you. And it's like, what's this you know? And and I think the the the sort sensible public said looks at this and said, what the heck is going on here? This is obviously abused to the legal system.
• 2:29:32
You you know, the the legal system is supposed to be protecting the public from violent criminals. And it it should be obviously allowing the public to make their own decision about who should be president as opposed to, you know, some, you know, legal case.
• 2:29:47
Speaker 4: Once they start this precedent, because this can go on with the next one. I mean, this is a very bad precedent what they're doing in terms of, you know, going after their political opponent. And that's all it is. It's going after their political opponent. And and then you get a judge who's, you know, a a strong democrat, and I'm being nice when I say that in many cases crooked as hell.
• 2:30:07
But you get a judge and you go into an area where a republican gets three or 4% of the vote, and, you know, you'll have a jury pool Yeah. With, people that hate republicans or hate it could also be the other way, though. Of course. Because it could start the other way in areas where they hate Democrats. And you get into a Pandora's box.
• 2:30:26
It's a very dangerous thing for, this country and a very dangerous thing even for the state. New York City is losing
• 2:30:32
  Speaker 2: New York
• 2:30:33
Speaker 4: City and state lose a lot of business over what they did to me because these people say, we don't want that to happen to us. That's no justice system. You have an unfair system of justice, and it's costing New York State a tremendous amount of money. People are leaving and companies are leaving, and they won't come back. So, you know, all of that stuff is important, but the economy now is the big thing, and we can turn that economy up so fast, and people are gonna be back again.
• 2:30:59
We're gonna get rid of the inflation.
• 2:31:00
Speaker 2: I think there's lot a lot of opportunity.
• 2:31:02
Speaker 4: Absolutely. So And I just wanna I wanna congratulate you. You've done an amazing job. You are you have definitely got a fertile mind. You know?
• 2:31:11
We can talk you and I can talk about rockets.
• 2:31:13
Speaker 2: Well, it's good kind of you to say. Thank you.
• 2:31:15
Speaker 4: Tunnels. We can talk about tunnels and rockets and and electric cars, so many things. And now you're you're into the AI, and that's gonna be another beauty, I'll say. So it's
• 2:31:25
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 2:31:26
Speaker 4: It's an amazing it's an amazing thing you've done, Elon. It's an amazing thing, and I congratulate you.
• 2:31:32
Speaker 2: I mean, thank you. And well, I mean, I just say here, know, here's to an exciting, inspiring future that people can look forward to and be optimistic and excited about what happens next. And that's, the kind of future that I think, you will bring as president, and that's why I endorse
• 2:31:46
Speaker 4: Well, I appreciate that. That endorsement meant a lot to me. Not all endorsements mean that much, to be honest. Your endorsement meant a lot. And, you know, we have a a phrase, make America great again.
• 2:31:56
It's pretty simple, but it really says that we wanna make America great again, and we can do it. We can do it now, but if we were gonna suffer another four years like we suffered for the last four years, I'm not sure the country can ever come back. That's how bad it is. It's so bad. We have to we have to do a lot of a very real risk.
• 2:32:14
  It's a big risk. That's a very real risk.
• 2:32:16
Speaker 2: And and it's, know, I'd just like to to note to people listening, like, I've not been very political before. And and I've just if you look at my track my record, it's I've actually been I'm I'm I'm not like some sort of try to paint me as, a far right guy, which is absurd because I'm, making electric vehicles and, you know, solar and batteries helping them with the environment. And, and and I actually I I, you know, I I supported Obama. I stood in line for six hours to shake Obama's hand when when he was running for president. And, you know, so it's not like I'm like some sort of bat in the wall long term republican.
• 2:32:49
Actually, I'd call myself, you know, historically a moderate democrat. And and that but now I feel like we're really at at a critical juncture for the country. And, you know, I I think a lot of people thought, you know, that Biden administration would be a moderate administration, but it's not. And and, obviously, that that we're just gonna see an an even further left administration with with Kamala. That's that's my honest opinion.
• 2:33:19
I mean, dad is literally I mean, she was brought up as a as an actual her dad is a a is a Marxist economist. That's you can Google it. I mean, it's not a we're not making this up. You know? That's how she was brought up.
• 2:33:32
So and and we we we just we we wanna have a future that is prosperous, and and I I think we're just at this critical juncture. And, and it I think this is a case of the America is is kind of at a fork in the road. And
• 2:33:50
  Speaker 4: Sure.
• 2:33:51
Speaker 2: And I think it will take it will take the path like, are the path to prosperity, and I think Kamala is the opposite. Then that's my I mean, that's my honest opinion. I'm gonna I'm gonna get attacked like crazy. You know, I've also experienced quite a bit of low fare myself. And, but I'm just trying to tell people my honest opinion.
• 2:34:09
And and I I haven't been active and really active in politics before. And I'm just trying to point out that my track record historically has been moderate, if not moderate, slightly left. And and so this is to people out there who are in the moderate camp to say, I think you should support Donald Trump for president. And and I I think it's actually a very important junction in the road, and and we're in deep trouble if it if if if it goes the other way.
• 2:34:34
Speaker 4: Well, I wanna thank you. And, you know, I actually always did think of you as somewhat left. I must say that. So it's, it's even more of an honor to have your endorsement. I know how strong you feel about it.
• 2:34:45
But, you know, when you think of her, San Francisco, Fifteen Years ago, I had a great friend, Bob Tish. He said it's the greatest city in America. And now it's it's not it's almost not livable there. And California likewise, and she was involved in the destruction of San Francisco and the destruction of California, and she will be involved in the destruction of our country if people are so unwise as to elect her. And I hope that doesn't happen, and I hope the elections are gonna be run honestly, and we're gonna turn this country around.
• 2:35:18
We're gonna we're gonna do things that and we can do it fairly quickly. And we have to get rid of the criminals that have been, you know, given to us by other countries as they laugh. They laugh at us. They think we're stupid to accept these people. These are radical stone cold killers in many case cases and terrorists, and they're in our country by the hundreds of thousands.
• 2:35:39
Yeah. And we have to take them out.
• 2:35:42
Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, if if I could summarize it, perhaps, you know, I think these are issues that I think most people in America would agree with, which is that we want safe and clean cities. We want secure borders. We want sensible government spending. We want to restore both the perception and reality of respect in the in the in the judicial system.
• 2:36:05
Just, you know, stop the lawfare. And and I think that that's like and how are the how are those even right wing positions? I think those are just that's that's just common sense. And and that's I mean, would you agree with that?
• 2:36:20
Speaker 4: A %. I I don't understand, you know, the whole they call it progressive. They don't like the word liberal anymore, but call it liberal or progressive. I don't understand how somebody could say that it's okay for them to empty prisons into our country. And again, I told you their crime rates all over the world are going way down, which makes sense.
• 2:36:38
In fact, the next time what we'll do is if something happens with this election, which would be a horror show, we'll meet the next time in Venezuela because it'll be a far safer place to meet than our country. Okay? So we'll go you and I will go and we'll have a meeting and dinner in Venezuela because that's what's happening. Their crime rate's coming down and our crime rate's going through the roof, and it's so simple. And if you haven't seen anything yet because these people have come into our country, and they're just getting acclimated.
• 2:37:05
And they don't know about being politically correct law enforcement or lack of law enforcement. And our police I I have to just end with this. We have great police. We have great law enforcement, but they're not allowed to do their job. They have to be able to do their job without being destroyed.
• 2:37:21
  Well,
• 2:37:23
Speaker 2: absolutely. And and it's it's obviously demoralizing if you're a police officer risking your life to, you know, to, you know, to arrest violent criminals who could kill you and do kill you sometimes. And then you you arrest the violent criminal, and then the the DA, you know, doesn't prosecute, and and that's let the guy out. Well, then, like, why why should a police officer risk their life to arrest a violent felon?
• 2:37:48
Speaker 4: Well, even worse Elon.
• 2:37:50
  Speaker 2: Nothing's gonna happen.
• 2:37:50
Speaker 4: Even worse, they prosecute the police officer. They they go after it, and they prosecute the police officer, and they take away his pension. They take away his job. He loses his family? He loses his house?
• 2:38:04
Speaker 2: Well, I I thought I thought it was very telling, like incredibly telling that, you know, when that there was that case where, you know, sort of a gang of thugs beat up police officers. I think it was in Times Square in New York. And and and then nothing happened to those guys. They were they were let out zero bail, and I think a bunch of them were given free tickets to California. Well, what is the I mean, that that is that is a that is a gross indignity against The United States, and and that's how I mean, this is insane.
• 2:38:35
Like, have we lost all pride? What what that how can such a thing be allowed to occur?
• 2:38:40
Speaker 4: I've never seen anything. You know, we see where they get shot. It's very dangerous profession, but something they're very proud of, and they wanna be able to do their job. But I've seen them get shot. I've seen a lot of things.
• 2:38:50
But I've never seen where these guys are standing in the middle of a big street, everybody watching them, and they're literally boxing, like punching, stand up fighting a police officer, were two of them, and you had about six of these guys, and they're punching the hell out of them. And in their own country, they would be dead if they did that. They'd be shot. They would be shot instantly. And, you know, they come from these countries, and it's taken them a while to realize that we don't do that in this country.
• 2:39:19
But in their own country, if they stood on a street and had a fight with a police officer, they would be shot. There's no political correctness. And it's such a sad Yeah.
• 2:39:28
  Speaker 2: It's
• 2:39:29
Speaker 4: it's such a sad thing to see. And that's the reason you have crime, by the way. Yeah. Because we don't do anything about Yeah.
• 2:39:35
Speaker 2: We do we just cannot have a situation where our police officers will be beaten up on camera by, you know, a gang of illegal immigrants, and then nothing happens to to to the the guys that beat beat up the cops. I mean and they're let out. This is
• 2:39:49
Speaker 4: unacceptable. Change it, and we're gonna get them out of the country. You know, when I first got involved, they said you couldn't get them back to these countries. You couldn't take them back. In the case of, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, some others, you couldn't get them back.
• 2:40:03
And I said, really? Oh, you can't get it back. Because under, Obama, he couldn't get them back. They'd put up they'd fly them in, and they put planes on the runways in these countries so you couldn't land the plane. They'd bring them back.
• 2:40:14
And the general told me the generals told me, sir, we can't bring them back. The countries won't accept MS thirteen gang members. They won't accept them. And I said, really? How much do we pay these various countries in terms of economic aid, which is also somewhat ridiculous?
• 2:40:29
And the answer was $750,000,000. I said, good. Tell them they're in default. They're delinquent. We're not gonna do we're not paying them anymore because they won't accept it.
• 2:40:38
And you know what happened? They all called me, every one of them. They said, we would be honored to take them back, sir. We would be honored. It was so easy.
• 2:40:46
But it's one of those things, and we got them back. We took in so many you know, MS thirteen is probably the worst gangs in the world. They're the most vicious violence. We took them out of here by the thousands and got them out of here, and their countries took them back. And because I said, you're not getting any more economic aid.
• 2:41:04
And once I said that, they were nice. They wouldn't take them back for Obama. They wouldn't take them back for anybody. And now we have a problem because we have this guy, and they again, they don't take them back anymore with the Biden because they don't respect him.
• 2:41:19
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. It's so it's just it's just gotta it's just gotta be done. We we just can't can't have, you know, whether they're citizens or not citizens. We can't have because they weren't prosecuted citizens either, not not just not just illegals.
• 2:41:32
So that that if it's you you can have violent, you know, repeat violent offenders that are not that that don't get incarcerated.
• 2:41:42
  Speaker 4: That's right.
• 2:41:42
Speaker 2: Because they will they will obviously, by definition, continue to to to, you know, hurt people. And and and I I think where part of this comes from is that this and I do, you know, I do sort of consider myself liberal in some ways. I mean, it's just that you wanna have empathy for people. Obviously, you wanna have empathy for people. I totally agree with that.
• 2:42:04
You wanna have empathy, but you also have to have empathy for the victims of the criminals. And if if you if you just have empathy for the criminals, it's it's actually shallow empathy. It's not real. You're not thinking. You're not you you have one layer deep, empathy.
• 2:42:18
You gotta say, like, what if if you don't incarcerate this person, who are they going to, hurt? Where they they might kill someone. They might rage rape someone. If if you don't incarcerate them, you have to have empathy for the victims. And there's a lack of empathy for the victims of the criminals and and too much empathy for the criminals.
• 2:42:37
It doesn't make sense. I that's why you wanna have deep empathy for society as a whole, not shallow empathy for for criminals. And
• 2:42:46
Speaker 4: we have to give our police officers the dignity and the respect that they deserve, and we have to let them do their job. They they can do a great job, but we have to let them do their job. And if we don't do that, we're you know, it's it's gonna all it's gonna all disappear. There's never been a society like this where you're allowed to do anything you want and nothing happens. And I'm talking about violent crime.
• 2:43:09
And it's gonna get more violent because these are really, really violent people. And we're gonna get them out of our country, and we're gonna get them back to where because they were sent here by the presidents and by the various people that run those countries, and I know every one of those guys. And they're smart people, and they're streetwise people, and they really think that The USA is stupid. They think we're run by stupid people, and they happen to be right. But when I was there, we had no problem.
• 2:43:35
We got them out. We took out thousands of MS thirteen gang members. We brought them back. And, now again, they it's the same old story. We don't do it.
• 2:43:43
And they actually gave them a big increase in aid. They they raised it up to billions of dollars, and they get nothing for it. So, you know, it's it's, I hope everybody's gonna vote for Trump and we're gonna get this country straight. And I didn't need this. I'm like, I didn't need this.
• 2:43:59
I had a very nice life. I didn't need to to go through court systems and go through all the other stuff and run at the same I have to run. I have to go through fake trials with, in some cases, corrupt judges, totally corrupt judges. I didn't need it. I had a nice life.
• 2:44:15
I have great locations. I have beautiful oceans that I have places. I you know, I this was but I felt it was important. And if I had to if I had to do it over again, you probably think I'm crazy for doing it actually. But if I had to do it over again, I would have done it over again because this is so much more important than me or my life.
• 2:44:34
This is we're gonna save this country. This country is going down, and these people are bad people that we're running against, and they're liars. They make statements. They they they do things that are so bad. They they say they're gonna make a strong border.
• 2:44:50
They say they've been great on the border, and they've been the worst in history. They say they're gonna stop crime.
• 2:44:55
Speaker 2: The facts speak for themselves. Facts speak for so incredible. It's it's got got a point where where people just don't even bother reporting crime in a lot of cities because they know nothing is going to happen. You know, that's what I hear anecdotally from from people all the time. So, know, it's just, you know, my values, I'm just saying to people out there like my, know, the things I I think are important for the future is, like, we've gotta have safe cities.
• 2:45:18
We've have secure borders. We've gotta have sensible spending. And and we have and and we've gotta have deregulation. Right. So we can have a prosperous future.

And then we we wanna have some exciting, you know, sort of moonshot projects that that people can get fired up about. And, you know, that's that's the future I'm looking for. And, you know, I'm pro environment, but I but I'm I'm not against, you know, I'm not, like I I don't think we should vilify the oil and gas industry because they're they're keeping civilization going, right now. And, but I do think we wanna move, you know, you know, a reasonable speed towards, a sustainable energy economy. Those those are my values, and and and I think, you know?
• 2:45:59
And and and so, I mean, that's why I'm supporting you for president. You know?
• 2:46:06
Speaker 4: Well, I appreciate it. We're gonna make we're gonna give incentive to companies to come into our country, not to leave our country. We're gonna be be giving tremendous incentives. We want companies to build here, not to build in other locations, and we wanna create jobs. And again, it's about the American dream.
• 2:46:24
You don't hear about the American dream anymore, Elon. You don't hear you're the American dream in the truly sense, but you don't hear about the American dream anymore, and you're gonna hear about it. People, they need that incentive to go out and Yeah. And do it. And they're they're gonna love their lives.
• 2:46:39
I mean, they're gonna love they're gonna look forward to getting up in the morning and going to, you know, going to a job that they love, not a job that they can't send or not any job at all where they have no money, where they literally have no money, and then they end up with violence and lots of other problems. No. We're gonna do we're gonna do some great things. And I learned a lot in the first. We had a great economy and all of that.
• 2:46:59
We rebuilt the military. We did so much, but I also learned and I also learned the best people. I learned the good people, the the smart people, the dumb people, the people that can do things that people you know, you learn. When I first came in, I I tell people I was in Washington DC only 17 times according to the fake news media. I was in 17 times.
• 2:47:18
I never stayed over. And you don't know people. You rely on other people to give you names, and then you realize the people you relied on weren't so good. Now we had great people, but we also had some where I wouldn't have, you know, used them had I known. Now I know everybody.
• 2:47:32
And I think we're gonna, we're gonna really turn things around fast. We have no choice. Otherwise, we're not gonna have a country. And I really appreciate this has been to me, it's been a lot of fun being with you. You're an amazing guy.
• 2:47:44
You've done an incredible job and a great inspiration to people. A great inspiration, and I hope you keep going and just, continue to do well. And we're gonna have a big election coming up, and I think November 5 will be the most important day in the history of our country. I think that election will be the most important election, and I think it'll end up being maybe the most important day in the history of our country. Because if we don't win, I just feel so sorry for everybody.
• 2:48:14
Speaker 2: No. We're I think we're at a at a fork in the road of destiny of of civilization. And and I think we we need to take the the the right path, and and I think, you're you're the right path. So I think that's where it comes down.
• 2:48:27
Speaker 4: Thank you very much, Elon. It's a great honor, and we'll we'll do it again sometime. And, it's been really fun, and I hope you got a lot of viewers. I hear you got a lot. I hope you got
• 2:48:38
  Speaker 2: a lot.
• 2:48:39
Speaker 4: I know you got a lot of them. So, I appreciate it. I'll see you soon.
• 2:48:44
Speaker 2: Alright. Sounds good. Thank you.
• 2:48:46
Speaker 4: Thank you, Elon. Thank you very much. Bye.
• 2:48:57
Seth Holehouse: Alright, folks. Well, I think that was it. It's late, so I'm not gonna be giving a whole lot of recap. I've got a six month old that still isn't sleeping very well through the night, so this is a late night for me. Great conversation.
• 2:49:14
I I it just felt very sincere. Just felt like it was just two guys talking, like almost as if you're sitting at a bar and Elon and Trump were sitting next to you having a cocktail and chatting. Some some good stuff that had come out had come out of that. I'm glad to see Trump back on Twitter or X. I hope to see him active on there more.
• 2:49:34
There's obviously a huge amount of people that are using the application. So that's great. In terms of the actual interview itself, there's a lot of topics I was hoping they would have gotten into. I mean, it did seem like a very just surface conversation. But I guess that this is what that's what we have these days.
• 2:49:50
They didn't talk about the vaccine. They didn't talk about big pharma. They didn't talk about, you know, geoengineering. You know, the things that I'd like I'd love to see, but I know it's very it's optimistic to think that they would. But it was still a good a good discussion, and I think it's an important step, you know, towards freedom of speech, having him back on the platform, having a conversation like this.
• 2:50:12
And I'll be curious to see how the media responds to it tomorrow. One thing I will will pull up actually that I I there's a lot of discussions about the lisp. Right? And so, I just wanna pull up this real quickly here before I close out. This is a Twitter post from Mike Adams, who is a radio host himself, podcast host.
• 2:50:35
He says, for everyone who's listening, no Trump doesn't have a new lisp. It's a bad mic situation where the high frequencies of his s's his s sounds are being cut off. Makes him sound like he has a lisp. Whoever's running his audio needs to resolve the issue. Good mics are dirt cheap.
• 2:50:52
But also, there's videos of him sitting around a table in Mar A Lago just with the phone sitting on the table. So I'm not sure if is if he was mic'd up and, you know, I've had my own audio.
