Those of you who, like us, are fans of Quentin Blake’s brilliant children’s books will recognise that this is how Professor DuPont addresses his pet cockatoos each morning. And indeed, how I have taken to addressing the staff team each day! However, spoiler alert! the birds, bored of his repetitive greeting, rebel and play tricks on the eccentric academic – comedy ensues.
This leads me to the question of how you and I show up to those we meet day by day. I am not recommending a grandiose greeting as the way of engaging the world around us…
