But today, let's get you ready for that flower shop. Luna: Yeah, that's a great point. And I'm really excited to learn the phrases I'll actually use. Lucas: Let's start with the first thing you'd say when you walk in. 'Ik wil graag bloemen kopen.' That means 'I would like to buy flowers.' Luna: Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. Lucas: Yes, that's good. Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. Luna: Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. So 'bloemen' is flowers, right? I remember that from the flower shop episode. Lucas: Exactly. Now the shop assistant might ask 'Voor wie zijn de bloemen?' That means 'Who are the flowers for?' Luna: Voor wie zijn de bloemen? That's a question. So I'd answer something like 'Voor mijn moeder'. Lucas: Perfect. 'Voor mijn moeder' – 'For my mother.' Let's hear that. Luna: Voor mijn moeder. Lucas: Great. So the whole exchange: 'Ik wil graag bloemen kopen.' 'Voor wie zijn de bloemen?' 'Voor mijn moeder.' Luna: Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. Voor wie zijn de bloemen? Voor mijn moeder. Lucas: You sound ready to order. Now, you'll want to know the price. You can ask 'Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen?' – 'How much do these flowers cost?' Luna: Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen? I like that 'deze' – these. Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen? Lucas: Right. And then if you like them, you say 'Ik neem deze' – 'I'll take these.' Luna: Ik neem deze. So 'neem' is 'take'? Like 'I take these'. Lucas: Exactly. So let's put it all together in a little scene. You walk in, you say 'Ik wil graag bloemen kopen.' The assistant asks 'Voor wie zijn de bloemen?' You say 'Voor mijn moeder.' Then you point and ask 'Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen?' They tell you the price, and you say 'Ik neem deze.' Luna: Okay, let me try the whole thing. 'Ik wil graag bloemen kopen.' 'Voor mijn moeder.' 'Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen?' 'Ik neem deze.' How was that? Lucas: That was wonderful. Clear and confident. Let's do one more repetition together. Repeat after me: Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. Luna: Ik wil graag bloemen kopen. Lucas: Voor wie zijn de bloemen? Luna: Voor wie zijn de bloemen? Lucas: Voor mijn moeder. Luna: Voor mijn moeder. Lucas: Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen? Luna: Hoeveel kosten deze bloemen?
