- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on your things. Uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 0:05Speaker 1: morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 0:08Speaker 1: dig me down one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:12Speaker 1: radio show. Man o, man o, man, I just I
- 0:19Speaker 1: have to tell you this. How good is the God
- 0:24Speaker 1: I serve? How amazing is he? That's that's all I
- 0:30Speaker 1: you know. And you know what, really, man, when I
- 0:32Speaker 1: try to explain how I feel about what he does
- 0:37Speaker 1: for me, really, the words that I come up with
- 0:40Speaker 1: that they just they they inadequate. Man, they don't they
- 0:42Speaker 1: don't cut it. They really don't. You know, I could
- 0:45Speaker 1: say amazing. At one time. I even just got that.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I tried something real ignorant. One time, I just said,
- 0:51Speaker 1: you know, God is just super captual, fragilistic as be
- 0:54Speaker 1: all adocious. I just tried that. See how that felt.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That's that's all to change is with me. I just
- 0:59Speaker 1: try to because see how that felt. But then I
- 1:01Speaker 1: ain't feel right saying that the fact that he's amazing
- 1:05Speaker 1: and awesome and he's an awesome god. You hear people
- 1:08Speaker 1: say that is it's bigger than that too. Man. So
- 1:12Speaker 1: you know, as hard as I try, no matter what
- 1:15Speaker 1: I do every day, I'm gonna come up short with
- 1:17Speaker 1: trying to explain to you exactly how he works and
- 1:20Speaker 1: how he is for me. So I just thank him
- 1:22Speaker 1: that every day, every chance I get here, it is
- 1:28Speaker 1: it is your determination and your effort. Listen to me carefully.
- 1:36Speaker 1: It is your determination and your effort. I think that
- 1:42Speaker 1: the average person, and I'm not knocking you, I just
- 1:45Speaker 1: want you to hear me out. I think what stops
- 1:47Speaker 1: the average person from becoming successful is that we don't
- 1:51Speaker 1: realize the effort that it takes. And that's just truth.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I found that to be so true in my life
- 2:00Speaker 1: and my talking to people and meeting people, and people
- 2:03Speaker 1: are asking me questions about it and me trying to
- 2:06Speaker 1: figure out the way myself. I don't think that you
- 2:10Speaker 1: really can comprehend the effort that it takes to become successful.
- 2:17Speaker 1: This is the thing that you have to wrap your
- 2:19Speaker 1: mind around very quickly if you want to be successful
- 2:22Speaker 1: on any level in any area. The dream is the beginning.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Good Lord, let me tell you something. The determination and
- 2:31Speaker 1: effort is massive. You cannot be overly concerned with sleep.
- 2:39Speaker 1: If you are a person who is always concerned about sleep,
- 2:43Speaker 1: gets success out your mind. Ain't finna happen. Partner is
- 2:47Speaker 1: not Finn happen. You cannot be that concerned about sleep. Now,
- 2:53Speaker 1: listen to me. You have to get your rest. But
- 2:56Speaker 1: this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing you with what
- 3:00Speaker 1: how I did it. My philosophy was I stopped being
- 3:05Speaker 1: concerned about sleep. I got my rest, but I got
- 3:10Speaker 1: just enough to get back to it, and I got
- 3:15Speaker 1: back on the grind to hop in the hustle. I
- 3:18Speaker 1: got just enough rest so I could go and put
- 3:22Speaker 1: forth some more effort. But listen to me. You cannot
- 3:26Speaker 1: sleep a third of your life away and expect to
- 3:30Speaker 1: become successful if you're not already successful. If you are
- 3:33Speaker 1: asleep for eight hours, that is a third of your day.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You cannot be asleep a third of your life and
- 3:40Speaker 1: expect to get successful. Now, after you get successful, you know,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you learn as you go to work smarter, not harder.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So as you get successful, you may have eight hours
- 3:53Speaker 1: available to you. But on the way up there, I
- 3:56Speaker 1: don't see how you can do it. I promise you.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I don't. Now. Maybe somebody can come for but I
- 4:00Speaker 1: did it. He probably lying, But okay, tell your story,
- 4:05Speaker 1: because everybody I know that's successful that I've sat down
- 4:09Speaker 1: and had real talks with they wasn't concerned with sleeping.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You cannot be concerned with sleeping. If you want to
- 4:18Speaker 1: be successful. How can this happen for you? Listen to me.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The effort that it requires is massive. It's an all
- 4:26Speaker 1: out of salt on your dream. Now you got to
- 4:29Speaker 1: making assault. It requires an all out of salt on it.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And you can't be sleeping fight at the same time.
- 4:36Speaker 1: You can't fight when you sleep. Man. I wish I
- 4:39Speaker 1: could get y'all understand this right here. Understand that the
- 4:43Speaker 1: effort that is required to be successful will take everything
- 4:47Speaker 1: you have, and when you think you've given your all,
- 4:50Speaker 1: it's gonna require some more. The quality of your chield
- 4:56Speaker 1: is amazing. See okay, listen to what is sitting around
- 5:00Speaker 1: having a bill every day for what? But they're sitting
- 5:04Speaker 1: around smoking weed for every day. Pa. Come on, man,
- 5:08Speaker 1: for real. But if you took that beer, drinking weeds,
- 5:12Speaker 1: smoking chill time and applied it to progressing yourself towards
- 5:17Speaker 1: your dream. When you do carve out a vacation, guess
- 5:21Speaker 1: where you be able to go. Guess what part of
- 5:24Speaker 1: the world you can go. See Guess how you can
- 5:26Speaker 1: cheer up now instead of you just driving every year
- 5:29Speaker 1: your family to the family union, sit at the same
- 5:32Speaker 1: picnic table. Everybody pull they money in two ten families
- 5:36Speaker 1: don't never pool they money in. They down there eating
- 5:38Speaker 1: like y'all eating. You got attitude cause cause the day
- 5:42Speaker 1: or day side don't have a chip in or not.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They down there eating the extra potatoes at and making place.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You're not arguing about this every year for real, man,
- 5:50Speaker 1: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know, they
- 5:53Speaker 1: got the same T shirt on. They ain't put in
- 5:55Speaker 1: that really, man, so so so, so you want that
- 5:58Speaker 1: to be it every year? Or do you want this
- 6:01Speaker 1: year I'm taking my family to New Orleans, or I'm
- 6:06Speaker 1: taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking my
- 6:08Speaker 1: family down to the beach this year. Me, me and
- 6:11Speaker 1: my family gonna go sight see. We're gonna go ride
- 6:14Speaker 1: a couple of river on Chicago. Me and my family
- 6:16Speaker 1: gonna go skiing. This year. Me and me and my
- 6:18Speaker 1: family going out to La Man we go. We're gonna
- 6:21Speaker 1: go out there for the weekend. You know, you know
- 6:23Speaker 1: it can happen like that. But if you ain't working,
- 6:28Speaker 1: listen to me. Average effort gets average results. That's that's
- 6:36Speaker 1: all it is to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort. See, the
- 6:50Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 6:58Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 7:02Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 7:05Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 7:08Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 7:15Speaker 1: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 7:21Speaker 1: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 7:25Speaker 1: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He said,
- 7:31Speaker 1: to see if I can pull it up while I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: talking to you. But he just sent me a little
- 7:35Speaker 1: sign just what, nothing, just a little something to say,
- 7:37Speaker 1: Hey man, I ran across this, I thought about you,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and I sent it to you. It said no alarm
- 7:43Speaker 1: clock needed, My passion wakes me. It's in block print.
- 7:51Speaker 1: He said, no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's what you got to be about. Listening to the
- 8:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show,
