- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hands to Hester and Hester.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Yep, got it. Five out of five.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to a natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone throw.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's Off the Bench.
- 0:20Speaker 4: I can't stand it.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I know you can't.
- 1:12Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Hour number three of ODB. No Nick Underhill. Why? Of
- 1:22Speaker 3: New Orleans-style football.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Is he rioting?
- 1:24Speaker 3: He's actually in the air right now, currently flying to Paris.
- 1:30Speaker 4: That was an audible laughter.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Wait, did y'all see the video of Aaron Rodgers?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah. How do y'all see all that?
- 1:37Speaker 4: I haven't seen it.
- 1:38Speaker 3: No, I have not.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's a video of Aaron Rodgers, and he's standing there
- 1:41Speaker 2: in Paris, and Paris is like on fire. Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 4: It's good.
- 1:46Speaker 5: And they're running with the American flag.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Did you see....
- 1:50Speaker 6: Did you see the Steelers players being photoshopped onto people
- 1:54Speaker 6: in the.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Street in Team America?
- 1:57Speaker 5: No, but that's really cool.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Heck yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 3: That's not how it goes.
- 2:05Speaker 5: They're sending Nick off to the front lines.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Brutal.
- 2:10Speaker 5: That's crazy. They really say, you know what?
- 2:12Speaker 3: F it.
- 2:13Speaker 5: We're going to go anyway. And we're going to bring peace.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yep. The security when you go over to one of
- 2:22Speaker 3: the international games, it is tight. We had people everywhere,
- 2:28Speaker 3: just police, security. For every three hotel rooms that we had,
- 2:35Speaker 3: they had somebody standing there. It's very, very tight. That
- 2:39Speaker 3: was damn near 20 years ago, so I'm sure it's
- 2:42Speaker 3: going to be upped, and certainly here in this situation.
- 2:45Speaker 3: They'll be protected.
- 2:47Speaker 2: So I've obviously never been to Paris before. But I
- 2:50Speaker 2: always hear that it's very underwhelming. Like, it's not that great.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I hear the food's not great. Is that true? Anybody
- 2:57Speaker 4: ever been to Paris?
- 2:58Speaker 5: I mean, I'm sure Matt's been.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I went to Paris this past spring. How's the food?
- 3:04Speaker 4: Or was it two springs ago?
- 3:05Speaker 3: I don't know. I've never been.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Oh, so I went to Paris before I started doing
- 3:12Speaker 6: the show.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Because....
- 3:16Speaker 6: I kind of, like, right after I got back, I
- 3:18Speaker 6: was rewired. I was, like, on, my body was on
- 3:21Speaker 6: a different time clock, and I rewired myself. I just
- 3:24Speaker 6: decided to stay on France time, and I got used
- 3:26Speaker 6: to waking up early.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. I don't love big cities.
- 3:33Speaker 6: So I didn't love, no, I've been to places in
- 3:37Speaker 6: France that I've loved.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Love, loved.
- 3:40Speaker 3: You like, like, the countryside?
- 3:42Speaker 6: The wine country, like, some of the old cities, like,
- 3:44Speaker 6: I don't love the big cities. I didn't love Paris.
- 3:47Speaker 6: It was cool to see it once. We went to,
- 3:49Speaker 6: on our honeymoon, we went to Italy. I went to Rome.
- 3:52Speaker 6: I didn't love that, but I loved some of the
- 3:55Speaker 6: stuff I got to see.
- 3:56Speaker 4: It was a bucket list thing. It was awesome to
- 3:57Speaker 4: see the Colosseum and some of this Roman.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I get it, but you like more of the countryside,
- 4:01Speaker 3: the wine side. Yeah, for sure. I got you. I'm
- 4:05Speaker 3: the opposite. Man, Times Square, Christmas time, dropped me right
- 4:09Speaker 3: in the middle of it.
- 4:10Speaker 4: New York City is a little different.
- 4:12Speaker 3: New York City is a little different.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I love a big city. Like, I love Dallas because
- 4:16Speaker 5: it's a big city. I love New York.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I don't love L.A. L.A.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Is one I can't get behind, but.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I don't love L.A.
- 4:25Speaker 5: It's not because it's big. It's because of.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I love Seattle. Never been. Love San Diego. Those aren't
- 4:32Speaker 3: the biggest cities. Love Chicago.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Chicago's cool.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Chicago gets a bad rap. You can do Chicago right.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Great sports town.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: My, like, My example all the time, you could be
- 4:44Speaker 3: walking down the street. If you were playing the Bears,
- 4:48Speaker 3: your deep snapper is going to get recognized. They love
- 4:52Speaker 3: football there. I always thought that was kind of cool.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I like Chicago. I like Seattle. Didn't love San Francisco.
- 5:03Speaker 4: The poop on the ground.
- 5:05Speaker 3: That city is completely different. So the Saints are in Paris.
- 5:10Speaker 3: No Nick Underhill, as we said.
- 5:12Speaker 4: He did say something, mentioned one thing in our group
- 5:14Speaker 4: chat with him yesterday.
- 5:15Speaker 3: What was it?
- 5:16Speaker 4: He said, these dudes can't even lose right.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Talk about the Saints.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I guess I missed that.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah, he said, yeah. He's like, come on. These guys
- 5:26Speaker 4: can't even lose right.
- 5:28Speaker 3: They didn't lose, though. They won.
- 5:30Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Win right?
- 5:31Speaker 4: They can't even win right. I can't even say things.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 5:34Speaker 3: We're too hard.
- 5:35Speaker 4: It's hour four of talking. That's true.
- 5:38Speaker 3: We did do some film.
- 5:39Speaker 5: It was like, no. It was like 30 minutes.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, we got 30 more minutes. That's because y'all were late.
- 5:45Speaker 5: I was, and I was here.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Well, you did send the text when Alondra and I
- 5:49Speaker 3: were both passed out.
- 5:50Speaker 5: 11 p.m.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Told y'all yesterday I was doing it.
- 5:54Speaker 5: I woke up just in case.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Does that really ever give us any ways? Let's don't
- 5:58Speaker 3: go down that road. Let's talk Saints. I don't care
- 6:02Speaker 3: how they won, by the way. I know you harped
- 6:04Speaker 3: on that yesterday, and Nick harped on it, apparently, in
- 6:06Speaker 3: the group text. Like, the Saints... They don't have the
- 6:09Speaker 3: luxury right now of caring how they wear. But you
- 6:11Speaker 3: should care a little bit. But they don't have the luxury. Matt,
- 6:14Speaker 3: they were so bad in those three games.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:17Speaker 3: And if you get a win in the NFL on
- 6:19Speaker 3: the road, maybe then it can unlock something.
- 6:23Speaker 4: One win isn't going to do anything.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Well, it's certainly better than those three losses they had because, God,
- 6:28Speaker 3: that was bad.
- 6:29Speaker 6: I'm just saying, like, the win looked great. The win
- 6:32Speaker 6: was going to be good, even if it was against
- 6:34Speaker 6: a completely incompetent quarterback.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Which it was. Jameis was incompetent in that game. And
- 6:42Speaker 4: we get it.
- 6:42Speaker 6: That's the Jameis experience. He was really good the weeks
- 6:45Speaker 6: before that. And that's his thing. You caught him on
- 6:50Speaker 6: a bad day. And the win was going to be great.
- 6:53Speaker 6: We were going to come here and celebrate. But then
- 6:55Speaker 6: the fourth quarter happens. And you've proven to everybody, once again,
- 7:01Speaker 6: you can't start a game and you can't finish a game.
- 7:05Speaker 6: And you were lucky enough. play quarterback throughout the rest
- 7:10Speaker 6: of the game. The first three quarters that played at
- 7:14Speaker 6: a high school level. And you got a guy that
- 7:19Speaker 6: signed off, signed or traded for two weeks ago. Those
- 7:23Speaker 6: were nearly an NFL record.
- 7:27Speaker 3: And after all of that, they gave you a win
- 7:30Speaker 3: because you won. And now you're two and four.
- 7:34Speaker 4: That's going to be a good two wins.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I don't care. You're two and four right now. You
- 7:38Speaker 3: are a game and a half out of first place
- 7:42Speaker 3: from the Carolina Panthers. And remember, you have five division
- 7:45Speaker 3: games at the end of the season. I think it's
- 7:49Speaker 3: four out of five. The Steelers team is four and two.
- 7:57Speaker 3: The Steelers right now are a three and a half
- 7:58Speaker 3: point favorite. The Steelers have a 59.9% chance to win
- 8:02Speaker 3: this game. There's a lot of things going in the
- 8:07Speaker 3: Steelers' direction. They're not winning pretty either. I was just
- 8:12Speaker 3: about to say. You want to talk about ugly wins? Well,
- 8:16Speaker 3: the Pittsburgh Steelers. I mean, they got down to Tampa Bay,
- 8:18Speaker 3: and they were very fortunate to force overtime. They forced it.
- 8:20Speaker 3: They win it. So, again, credit to them for finding.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Theirs are just like dirty wins. The Saints, to me,
- 8:27Speaker 6: was like a– I don't know what the term– it's different.
- 8:32Speaker 6: It was like that was– you did everything you could.
- 8:36Speaker 4: You played terrible. You can't start. You can't finish. The
- 8:39Speaker 4: Saints are just dirty wins. You know what I mean?
- 8:41Speaker 6: No, not the Saints. The Steelers are just dirty wins.
- 8:44Speaker 6: They're all close. They fight back and forth. They don't
- 8:49Speaker 6: do anything exceptionally great, but they don't do anything exceptionally bad.
- 8:52Speaker 6: They just Pittsburgh tough.
- 8:55Speaker 4: You know what I mean? Yeah. Saints is just bad football.
- 9:00Speaker 4: So you think the Steelers are going to win this game?
- 9:04Speaker 4: I think it's going to be a close game. But
- 9:07Speaker 4: do I think they're going to win the game? Yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 4: I think the Steelers are going to win the game. Absolutely.
- 9:15Speaker 4: They'll definitely be winning after the first quarter.
- 9:18Speaker 6: And if it's close, they'll definitely win in the fourth
- 9:19Speaker 6: quarter because the Steelers are proving that they can finish
- 9:25Speaker 6: in the second half when it's close.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Right now, the Saints injury report. Cesar Ruiz is questionable.
- 9:35Speaker 3: He did make the trip to Paris ahead of the
- 9:38Speaker 3: Saints' travels. He was confirmed to make the trip, and
- 9:43Speaker 3: that was according to our guy, Nick Underhill, New Orleans.football.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Nathan Shepard, questionable. Anthony Jennings, questionable. Caden Ellis, questionable for
- 9:53Speaker 3: this game. And that was yesterday's injury report. Of course,
- 9:56Speaker 3: Jordan Tyson's still on the IR. He did travel to Paris,
- 10:01Speaker 3: so he's with the team, but still not ready to
- 10:03Speaker 3: come back. Caden Ellis, to me, is probably the one
- 10:07Speaker 3: that I'm going to circle as the most important. Pittsburgh's
- 10:09Speaker 3: been able to run the football really well over the
- 10:12Speaker 3: last couple of weeks, and Caden Ellis needs to be
- 10:15Speaker 3: in the middle of your defense. They've got to try
- 10:17Speaker 3: to get him back, because if not, then I don't
- 10:20Speaker 3: see this being an Aaron Rodgers game. I think Warren
- 10:24Speaker 3: at the running back position has really elevated what Pittsburgh
- 10:27Speaker 3: can be. He's had a really good run the last
- 10:30Speaker 3: couple of weeks. That's going to be something to pay
- 10:32Speaker 3: attention to because right now Pittsburgh's also down a couple
- 10:35Speaker 3: of receivers. Roman Wilson's out. Michael Pittman's out. So you're
- 10:40Speaker 3: down a couple of big weapons there in the passing
- 10:42Speaker 3: game for Aaron Rodgers. So Saints got to find a way,
- 10:44Speaker 3: and they have been bad. They have been really bad
- 10:47Speaker 3: at stopping the runs. And when you look at the
- 10:50Speaker 3: metrics of the game, I mean, the Saints have moved
- 10:54Speaker 3: up a little bit. Saints moved from 31 to 30
- 10:57Speaker 3: in the NFL. But, look, if I'm Pittsburgh, that's all
- 11:03Speaker 3: I'm doing. Like, I am leaning on Warren. He's been
- 11:05Speaker 3: really good. Taylor, I know you pointed him out a
- 11:07Speaker 3: couple weeks ago.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Warren's awesome.
- 11:09Speaker 7: And, you know, he stepped up when Rico Dowdle went down.
- 11:12Speaker 7: And when they signed Dowdle in the offseason, I kind
- 11:16Speaker 7: of thought he was going to be the guy only
- 11:17Speaker 7: because– Him and McCarthy had familiarity with each other with
- 11:22Speaker 7: their time in Dallas, but Warren's grabbed it and taken
- 11:24Speaker 7: it over. Jake, you're talking about the weapons being out,
- 11:28Speaker 7: Pittman and those guys.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Guys, Jeremy Bernard? Jeremy Bernard stepped up a little bit.
- 11:33Speaker 3: He did. These last two weeks as a receiver. No
- 11:36Speaker 3: doubt about it. He needs to, but Wilson, I think
- 11:40Speaker 3: the game before he went out, though, had two touchdown catches.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he did. Remember, Wilson was playing well. What do
- 11:51Speaker 4: you think? You love their win this past week. Do
- 11:54Speaker 4: you think they're going to win this week?
- 11:55Speaker 3: I do because I know, and you do too, I
- 11:57Speaker 3: know how hard it is to win in the NFL.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Nobody talks about how much you won by in the NFL.
- 12:03Speaker 3: In college football, we talk about it all the time.
- 12:06Speaker 3: In the NFL, nobody talks about that. In four weeks
- 12:08Speaker 3: from now, nobody's going to talk about how the Saints
- 12:12Speaker 3: won the game on the road by seven. It's going
- 12:15Speaker 3: to be on the schedule, and it's going to say W,
- 12:17Speaker 3: and it's going to say 34-27.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know as well as I do.
- 12:22Speaker 3: But we already knew they had issues, though. It's not
- 12:23Speaker 3: like it's new. We knew they had issues. They still
- 12:25Speaker 3: have issues. But you're a one-in-four football team.
- 12:30Speaker 4: You've got to, like, do whatever you can.
- 12:32Speaker 6: Wins are hard to get. You've got to celebrate every
- 12:34Speaker 6: single victory. But you also have to look at the
- 12:37Speaker 6: bigger picture. They proved in a victory that they're still
- 12:41Speaker 6: a bad team.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And guess what? I know it's not going to go away.
- 12:45Speaker 6: And we can say all you want to. They're a
- 12:48Speaker 6: game and a half back, game and a half back.
- 12:50Speaker 6: If they can't figure out how to start and finish
- 12:52Speaker 6: a game, they're going to be six games back because
- 12:55Speaker 6: the Carolina Panthers are for real.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think they're the class of
- 12:59Speaker 3: the division. I don't think there's any question about it. But, again,
- 13:02Speaker 3: a win can do a lot for you in the NFL,
- 13:05Speaker 3: and you needed one because it had been a long time.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Do you think that win, the way it finished, is
- 13:10Speaker 4: going to do a lot for them?
- 13:12Speaker 3: It could, because in that locker room, they might be saying,
- 13:14Speaker 3: we held on, we found a way. Like, we're talking
- 13:17Speaker 3: about it the other way, because we saw there was
- 13:19Speaker 3: a pass in the end zone.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Good job, guys. You only gave up 243 yards passing it. J.J.
- 13:26Speaker 4: McCarthy in one quarter. Good job.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Let us know in the chat, what do you think?
- 13:32Speaker 3: I think, look, a win is a win is a win.
- 13:33Speaker 3: The Saints absolutely needed one after losing at home, at home,
- 13:38Speaker 3: three weeks in a row to the Raiders- the Falcons,
- 13:43Speaker 3: and the Vikings. You go on the road in the NFL.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Both your wins this year are on the road. The
- 13:48Speaker 3: three games that you've played probably the best have been
- 13:50Speaker 3: on the road. You're away from the Superdome this week.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Why not? Let us know what you think in the chat.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Do you have Matt's viewpoint of it was an ugly,
- 14:01Speaker 3: nasty win and you almost blew it? Or is a win,
- 14:04Speaker 3: is a win, is a win? We'd like to know.
- 14:06Speaker 3: We'll read some of those. As a team.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Do you go out in public and celebrate, or do
- 14:11Speaker 6: you celebrate at home? That's kind of the feeling I have.
- 14:15Speaker 6: I wouldn't celebrate in front of people.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I'm somewhere in between.
- 14:18Speaker 2: A win is a win, and the Saints really needed
- 14:20Speaker 2: to get in the win column, but it was an
- 14:24Speaker 2: ugly win, and you still look like a bad team.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I guarantee you, Alondra, they had some cold beers on
- 14:31Speaker 3: that plane celebrating that victory.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Good for them, but I don't think there's a lot
- 14:35Speaker 5: to celebrate.
- 14:36Speaker 6: More of a question to paint a picture. How hard
- 14:39Speaker 6: do you celebrate? Do you celebrate that in front of
- 14:40Speaker 6: your fans, or do you just celebrate that in, like,
- 14:43Speaker 6: comfort of your own?
- 14:43Speaker 7: To your point, Jake, like, you said it this morning,
- 14:46Speaker 7: and I agree. I think the San Francisco 49ers are
- 14:48Speaker 7: the best team in the NFL. They struggled last night
- 14:51Speaker 7: against a bad Washington team. Washington came back.
- 14:53Speaker 3: The Cardinals beat the Rams.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 3: The Browns beat the Ravens.
- 14:57Speaker 4: I get it.
- 14:58Speaker 7: It wasn't pretty, but, like, you're the New Orleans Saints.
- 15:00Speaker 7: You ain't the Kansas City Chiefs going out there, beating
- 15:02Speaker 7: a team, and letting them come back. You're the New
- 15:04Speaker 7: Orleans Saints. Let's be honest about what this team is.
- 15:06Speaker 3: You were down 10 to nothing at one point. You
- 15:08Speaker 3: came back, too.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Parlayed into a couple more wins.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Saints wouldn't get close to the 49ers.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Not with that substation. You don't think. But the NFL
- 15:20Speaker 3: this year is not predictable.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Y'all, there's a Kelly Moore in our chat, and it
- 15:26Speaker 2: makes me laugh every single time. You all are doing
- 15:30Speaker 2: such a swell job.
- 15:33Speaker 3: All right. We'll take a break. Let us know what
- 15:34Speaker 3: you think. We'll get to some of your questions, concerns.
- 15:37Speaker 3: In the chat when we come back here on OTB.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Off the bench. All right, go to TrashRangers.com. Residential, commercial, trash, pickup,
- 15:45Speaker 3: service throughout the Baton Rouge area. We are talking to you.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Roll-off dumpsters. I mean, the entire area. If you need
- 15:52Speaker 3: a roll-off dumpster, give them a call. Let them know, hey,
- 15:54Speaker 3: here's what I've got going on. Here is the size
- 15:56Speaker 3: of my project. And they're going to make sure every
- 15:58Speaker 3: single time that you have the right size dumpster. But
- 16:00Speaker 3: let's say, I've done this before, that you undersell it
- 16:05Speaker 3: and you have more trash than you thought. It's okay.
- 16:07Speaker 3: They'll pick it up. They'll empty it. They'll bring it back.
- 16:09Speaker 3: They'll put it right where it was to begin with. TrashRangers.com.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Did somebody say roll-off dumpsters, Jake?
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah, three.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Whoa, three sizes to choose from. My God, they are impressive.
- 16:19Speaker 6: And it's flat rate pricing as well. I've gotten roll-off
- 16:21Speaker 6: dumpsters all over the country.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I had to move a lot. I got cut a lot.
- 16:26Speaker 6: I moved around and had to get those roll-off dumpsters.
- 16:28Speaker 6: And you always get some hidden fees on the back end.
- 16:30Speaker 6: There's always like a tonnage fee or a dumpage fee
- 16:33Speaker 6: or whatever it is. Fuel surcharges. None of that with
- 16:36Speaker 6: Trash Rangers. Flat rate pricing. The price they quote you
- 16:38Speaker 6: is the price you'll pay. TrashRangers.com.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. Presented
- 16:48Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I'm going until Eddie starts singing. Do it, Eddie.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Is anybody better than 80s Eddie Murphy?
- 17:44Speaker 3: Trading Places, Coming to America, Beverly Hills Cop.
- 17:47Speaker 5: His stand-up was really funny, too.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Raw and Delirious, both.
- 17:51Speaker 4: This is Eddie Murphy?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Yeah. Harlem Nights.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Oh, what a good movie. This is Eddie Murphy.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I mean, he had a run. I mean, hell of
- 18:04Speaker 3: a run. I mean, it didn't stop. I mean, 90s
- 18:07Speaker 3: had great stuff, too.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Wasn't he with Mel B, too?
- 18:11Speaker 3: I think so.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I think so, one time.
- 18:14Speaker 5: I think they have kids together. Or at least one.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Maybe they do.
- 18:18Speaker 5: He was on a run. I mean, you were with
- 18:20Speaker 5: one of the Spice Girls.
- 18:21Speaker 3: It's true.
- 18:24Speaker 7: I mean, Beverly Hills Cop.
- 18:27Speaker 3: You kidding?
- 18:29Speaker 4: I prefer Beverly Hills Ninja.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Do you?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yes, I do. Great movie.
- 18:37Speaker 3: You can kiss my ass with that take.
- 18:41Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Beverly Hills Cop is.
- 18:44Speaker 4: So good. It is good. Axel Foley's great. So good.
- 18:47Speaker 4: It's fantastic.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Trading places like the opening scene where he acts like
- 18:55Speaker 3: he's a war vet with no legs.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Oh, it's good.
- 19:00Speaker 3: A lot of things probably couldn't get away with today.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Making a movie in some of this. You don't like
- 19:10Speaker 3: Chris Farley? Um, He's good. He's good. Not more than
- 19:15Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy. No.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I prefer Farley over Murphy. I'd have to say.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Can I be honest?
- 19:24Speaker 4: Can I be honest with you guys?
- 19:25Speaker 2: No.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Lied to us, Matt.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Look, I like Tommy Boy. Black Sheep. Oh, yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Fantastic. Beverly Hills Ninja.
- 19:38Speaker 3: But not even in the same realm as Eddie Murphy.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I mean... not even, they're not a distant cousin to
- 19:48Speaker 3: each other. in how far away they are apart.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Well, I respect that opinion. And I'm sure it's.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Probably a higher percentage leaning towards your opinion. But just
- 20:03Speaker 6: my humor.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I've got a lot of the same humor as you,
- 20:06Speaker 3: but I do like the more, you know, mmm, Or
- 20:10Speaker 3: raunchy comedy. If somebody did it first. Like, you know,
- 20:14Speaker 3: like Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac. It's probably like
- 20:18Speaker 3: my peak comedy.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Bernie Mac was really funny.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Like he could distill a story with
- 20:23Speaker 3: his eyes.
- 20:23Speaker 6: You're talking stand-up stuff. I'm not talking, I'm just talking
- 20:25Speaker 6: about movies. Like the movies I enjoy better. Like stand-up.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Like movies too. All those guys are in movies.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Well, I know they were.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Certainly Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy.
- 20:32Speaker 4: But you're talking about raunchy stuff. They weren't like in
- 20:34Speaker 4: a raunchy movie.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I'm saying like that's what I think is like peak funny.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I don't think Farley did stand-up. Probably wouldn't have been
- 20:41Speaker 4: great at it. He was more physical humor. See, because
- 20:45Speaker 4: he was overweight.
- 20:45Speaker 2: And, like, me, like, personally, I don't love that kind
- 20:49Speaker 2: of humor, so I don't find him to be as
- 20:51Speaker 2: funny as a lot of other people do.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Sure.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I respect that. I respect everyone's opinion.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Like, the better the McDonald's bit, the Rocky movie, Eddie
- 21:05Speaker 3: Murphy's talking about, like, when, you know, White guys started
- 21:09Speaker 3: acting tough. Oh, you must have just seen Rocky.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I mean, how could you not?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Anyways.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Speaking of, I gotta get Rocky Marathon going for my kids.
- 21:24Speaker 6: I've deprived them long enough. And I feel like a failure.
- 21:28Speaker 4: As a father. Well, you are. I'm just kidding.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I can say it. You know, the problem with The
- 21:38Speaker 3: way my kids did it, they kind of jumped around.
- 21:40Speaker 3: They didn't do it in order.
- 21:41Speaker 4: See, that bothers me.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I know. Me too. And it shouldn't, but it does.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I think they went straight because they heard so much
- 21:47Speaker 3: about Rocky IV. Right. They heard so much about it.
- 21:50Speaker 3: They jumped right to it. And not that you have
- 21:52Speaker 3: to see the other.
- 21:53Speaker 4: It stands alone.
- 21:54Speaker 3: It stands by itself. To understand the movie and it'd
- 21:57Speaker 3: be a good movie, but you don't know the beginnings
- 21:59Speaker 3: of Rocky.
- 22:00Speaker 4: You're not going to fully appreciate it. If you watch
- 22:02Speaker 4: Rocky IV, you're like, oh, it's pretty good. It means
- 22:04Speaker 4: more if you watch it off. You know the whole story.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I agree.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I agree.
- 22:12Speaker 4: I can't say– it doesn't work for everything, but for
- 22:16Speaker 4: Rocky it does. You don't have to know the backstory
- 22:20Speaker 4: to everything. Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Look, every Rocky gave you a little something. Even the
- 22:25Speaker 3: ones down the road that maybe weren't as good, like
- 22:27Speaker 3: the Rocky speech and what was the last Rocky? Rocky Balboa?
- 22:30Speaker 3: That's really good. We talked about that last week.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Even Rocky V. It's not a great movie, but it's
- 22:36Speaker 4: better than no Rocky.
- 22:37Speaker 3: I mean, but we got quotes from it. I didn't
- 22:39Speaker 3: hear no bell.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I didn't hear no bell.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Come on now. Talk about that one still.
- 22:43Speaker 4: So what? His kid grew like 15 years overnight. So what?
- 22:51Speaker 4: Power of attorney. You can't sign that over when you
- 22:54Speaker 4: go to Russia.
- 22:55Speaker 3: You can't do it to Pauly. You just can't do it, Pauly.
- 22:58Speaker 4: If you go to Russia, defy a steroid person. Don't
- 23:05Speaker 4: do power of attorney. He had the mansion. He had everything.
- 23:09Speaker 4: He had a robot. He had a robot. In that economy.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Is that movie out yet? I Play Rocky? It's literally
- 23:23Speaker 3: a movie based.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Off The guy that plays him looks just like him.
- 23:28Speaker 3: It's based off him trying to get the movie made.
- 23:32Speaker 3: It's called I Play Rocky. It's a movie that's based
- 23:36Speaker 3: off Stallone trying to get Rocky made as a movie.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Is it true that he did Softcore? I heard that
- 23:44Speaker 4: Stallone did that.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Not where I thought this conversation was going.
- 23:49Speaker 7: I'll check on my cell phone and not the work computer.
- 23:52Speaker 4: That is legit a story that I read or heard.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Maybe it is, but why? Why are we asking that
- 23:58Speaker 3: right now?
- 23:59Speaker 4: Because you were talking about him getting the movie made.
- 24:03Speaker 5: It comes out November 6th.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I'm excited to see that.
- 24:06Speaker 5: The Rocky movie.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Not whatever you're talking about over there. Matt's like, that's
- 24:11Speaker 4: already out.
- 24:13Speaker 5: I've seen it.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah, he did. He did. See, I'm not crazy.
- 24:22Speaker 3: It was the movie.
- 24:23Speaker 4: You want to know the name of it?
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 4: It was called The Party at Kitty and Studs.
- 24:30Speaker 5: That's so 80s.
- 24:31Speaker 4: So, I mean, you know, if you have any questions,
- 24:35Speaker 4: the title will tell you. I was trying to make it.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Made in 1970, bro. That was probably looking good in 1970.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, brother.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Wasn't there a story where he was basically homeless and
- 24:55Speaker 2: he had a dog? And then so he sold his
- 24:59Speaker 2: dog to somebody because he didn't have any money. He
- 25:02Speaker 2: was trying to make it as an actor. And then
- 25:04Speaker 2: like years later, he found the person that he sold
- 25:06Speaker 2: the dog to and he bought the dog back.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I hope that's real.
- 25:10Speaker 5: I think I made it up.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Oh, I hope it's real.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Or maybe I'm like conflating two different stories.
- 25:15Speaker 3: That's a dude.
- 25:16Speaker 4: We're going to roll with it.
- 25:17Speaker 3: That's a dude.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Celestra Stallone.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:24Speaker 3: There's some check.
- 25:25Speaker 7: This says that The soft core is like way like overdone.
- 25:32Speaker 7: They're like, if you actually watch the movie, it's not really.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Okay. Of that variety.
- 25:37Speaker 5: If we can trust men's journal.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:40Speaker 2: He did sell the dog for $ 40, bought it back for.
- 25:43Speaker 5: 1500, 15. No.
- 25:49Speaker 2: $ 15, 000 to get him back.
- 25:50Speaker 3: What?
- 25:51Speaker 4: It was a gouged. And this was a Mastiff. Yeah. Butkus.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Butkus.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah, he's in the movie.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Well, that's the dog.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Or his little jersey. Do y'all remember the names of
- 26:04Speaker 4: his turtles? Anybody?
- 26:05Speaker 3: No.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Jake?
- 26:07Speaker 5: Oh, Myrtle.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I don't.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Cuff and Link.
- 26:11Speaker 3: That's true. That is so you.
- 26:16Speaker 2: What?
- 26:17Speaker 3: You would name something like that.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Of course he has a turtle. Got two.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Role models.
- 26:25Speaker 5: You want to come inside and see my turtle? Of
- 26:26Speaker 5: course he has a turtle.
- 26:28Speaker 4: God, such a good movie.
- 26:31Speaker 5: The chicken finger part. It's the chicken fingers.
- 26:33Speaker 3: All right.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Jeffrey used the one.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Got his dog back and everything.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Found our way to that conversation.
- 26:43Speaker 4: You were pretty much right, though.
- 26:44Speaker 7: I'll give you credit for it. I was reading off
- 26:46Speaker 7: a Rolling Stone. They're like, ah, we wouldn't consider this
- 26:48Speaker 7: a soft core, but maybe some people would. The title
- 26:54Speaker 7: certainly is damning. Party at Kitty and Studs does not
- 27:00Speaker 7: seem family friendly.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I'm with Alondra. It's 70s, but it does feel like
- 27:03Speaker 3: an 80s movie title.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Oh, it's 70s? Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 6: 1970.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 4: He was 24.
- 27:08Speaker 3: God, he's an old fella. All right, we'll take a break.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I don't know what that was. It happened, though. We'll
- 27:15Speaker 3: get to some questions inside the chat when we come back.
- 27:19Speaker 3: That's what he said in the softcore movie.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Off the Bench.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Go to FABT.com. First American Bank and Trust. Been in
- 27:31Speaker 3: the game. Well, they were in the game 60 years
- 27:33Speaker 3: before that movie came out, okay? They've been in the
- 27:35Speaker 3: game for a long time. Since 1910. Go to FABT.com.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Go ahead and get that account. Start it up. And remember,
- 27:48Speaker 3: you are a relationship with FABT. You're a name. You're
- 27:51Speaker 3: a face. You're not just another account number. First American
- 27:55Speaker 3: Bank and Trust, FABT.com.
- 27:57Speaker 6: That's right, First American Bank and Trust, FABT.com. Been doing
- 28:01Speaker 6: business in Louisiana here for a long, long time. Since
- 28:04Speaker 6: before the Titanic set sail, they've been doing business helping
- 28:07Speaker 6: Louisiana families, helping Louisiana people, helping Louisiana businesses.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Why?
- 28:11Speaker 6: Because they are right here in your community making decisions,
- 28:14Speaker 6: not on the left coast, not in New York City.
- 28:16Speaker 6: So if you've got a banking need, if you have
- 28:18Speaker 6: a loan need, make sure you're dealing with the best.
- 28:20Speaker 4: First American Bank and Trust, FABT.com.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 28:39Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 28:58Speaker 5: All right, welcome.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Back here off the bench. My favorite day of the week, Tuesday.
- 29:15Speaker 6: Got some really good comments in the chat over here.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Somebody said that for Halloween, we should dress up as Stallone.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Kitty. Stud.
- 29:29Speaker 5: I don't love this.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Butkus.
- 29:31Speaker 5: No, I don't think we should.
- 29:32Speaker 3: I actually don't like this at all.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It's a terrible idea.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I think my idea is a great idea.
- 29:38Speaker 4: We can do that.
- 29:39Speaker 5: The town.
- 29:40Speaker 2: If we all buy the nun masks and we just
- 29:42Speaker 2: dress in black, we could be the town.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Gotta do it. Gotta do it quick.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Yeah, we ought to order those masks now.
- 29:51Speaker 6: October, possibly the best month of the entire year. Almost, like,
- 29:54Speaker 6: already the 20th. I feel like we just started Robot Flynn, too.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I only got 11 days.
- 30:03Speaker 3: All right, so I looked it up. Here is Halloween
- 30:08Speaker 3: costume ideas for three guys and one girl. Ghostbusters, Mario,
- 30:15Speaker 3: Top Gun, The Hangover, WWE.
- 30:19Speaker 5: They just want me to dress like a man.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Batman villains, Shrek, Anchorman, Wizard of Oz, Scooby-Doo.
- 30:27Speaker 5: I like Wizard of Oz.
- 30:29Speaker 7: They're going to have to explain to me Ghostbusters and
- 30:34Speaker 7: The Hangover.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Ghostbusters, it says three Ghostbusters. Am I supposed to be
- 30:37Speaker 3: the stripper? And then Zool.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Carlos' mom?
- 30:41Speaker 3: The Hangover, it says Alan Phil Stew in a female
- 30:44Speaker 3: version of Mr.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Chow. Actually, you know what? I say we go with that.
- 30:49Speaker 5: I don't hate that.
- 30:50Speaker 4: It's a great idea.
- 30:53Speaker 3: For WWE, it says Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin,
- 30:56Speaker 3: The Rock, and Chyna. Shrek, it says. Shrek, Donkey, Fiona.
- 31:04Speaker 3: And it says.
- 31:05Speaker 4: I mean, I guess Puss in Boots would be the fourth, right?
- 31:08Speaker 4: AI gave you.
- 31:09Speaker 3: What's the Lord's name?
- 31:11Speaker 4: Farquaad? Farquaad. Farquaad?
- 31:13Speaker 5: What Farquaad? He sent an eviction notice.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what it gave me.
- 31:19Speaker 4: It said the fourth one, choose another character. Lazy robot.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Poor Anchorman, obviously. Ron, Brick, Champ, and Veronica.
- 31:33Speaker 5: I'm going to go Wizard of Oz. I would be Dorothy, obviously.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion.
- 31:38Speaker 1: You do?
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'll be Toto.
- 31:40Speaker 4: You want to be Dorothy?
- 31:43Speaker 5: Carry me in a yellow basket.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Y'all can dress however you want. I'm going to be Stud. Hey, look.
- 31:50Speaker 4: If you want to do that, Matt, I'll actually be
- 31:51Speaker 4: any role.
- 31:52Speaker 5: You'll be Kitty?
- 31:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fine.
- 31:56Speaker 3: This says, actually, I actually do like this a little bit.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Dress as LSU's last four coaches, Kiffin, BK, Owen, Miles. Oh,
- 32:06Speaker 3: my gosh. I actually do kind of like that.
- 32:07Speaker 4: That actually is kind of cool.
- 32:08Speaker 5: We just all would wear this, like.
- 32:10Speaker 3: No, there'd be different versions.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Let's dress up like the.
- 32:12Speaker 3: One would have a visor. One would have a hat
- 32:15Speaker 3: that sat on top of his head.
- 32:16Speaker 5: And recreate it.
- 32:17Speaker 4: You could slick your hair back a little bit.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't know what you do for BK.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Sweater vest.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Go sit at Superior and just.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Have to get fired.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Hey.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I'll be BK. Get a large buyout. You know what?
- 32:38Speaker 4: I kind of respected it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Me too.
- 32:41Speaker 4: You know what?
- 32:43Speaker 5: He didn't care.
- 32:43Speaker 4: I love that. I ain't got to work. I'm going
- 32:46Speaker 4: to get a margarita.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Huff inside the chat says, I'm going to wear a
- 32:49Speaker 3: purple and gold robe with a Bocock cigar going to
- 32:52Speaker 3: scream about the demise of Alabama football.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I don't do that. Couldn't pull it off. I got
- 33:06Speaker 4: a text.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 33:13Speaker 5: You were fired up about that one.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Being that y'all are talking about Rocky, did y'all know
- 33:19Speaker 2: that Queen turned him down to do the music, which
- 33:23Speaker 2: gave Survivor all the music in the Rocky movies.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I did not. Survivor knocked it out of the park.
- 33:28Speaker 3: They really did.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Yeah, they killed it.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Shout out to Jeff DeVille for that. That was good.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Well done. I did not know that. It's a fun fact.
- 33:38Speaker 3: You know what I did know?
- 33:40Speaker 4: What would they have done?
- 33:41Speaker 3: You know what I did know? We'll be at Rouse's
- 33:43Speaker 3: on Friday.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Not a big deal.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Or Football Friday.
- 33:46Speaker 4: How did you know?
- 33:46Speaker 3: Because it's Football Friday.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Oh.
- 33:49Speaker 3: So you can come hang out with us 7 to
- 33:51Speaker 3: 10 a.m. We'll be there.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Even if we didn't do the show, I'd be there
- 33:53Speaker 4: because I'd be grocery shopping.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Dick Dixon and the family came and hung out
- 33:57Speaker 3: with us a little bit on last Friday.
- 33:58Speaker 4: That was fun. Enjoyed that. If you want hash browns
- 34:00Speaker 4: and eggs, get there early.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Yeah, because Matt's going to eat them. If you want sushi,
- 34:04Speaker 3: better get there before 9 because I'm going to eat it.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Breakfast bar, lunch bar, sushi bar, salad bar, tailgating packages.
- 34:11Speaker 3: You're like, wait a minute, LSU's playing on the road. Yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 3: but you're going to be watching the game. You're going
- 34:15Speaker 3: to have your own tailgate at your house.
- 34:17Speaker 4: We'll watch a party.
- 34:18Speaker 3: 11 a.m. kick. So you got to get it on Friday.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Might as well come hang out with us. Go to Rouses.com
- 34:23Speaker 3: to find a location that's convenient for you. Matt, I
- 34:27Speaker 3: do have a trading card question.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Okay.
- 34:30Speaker 3: So, and you didn't know about these. So there's these cards,
- 34:33Speaker 3: and they're called rip cards.
- 34:35Speaker 4: All right. All right.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Now, this one is of Connor Griffin, stud, rookie for
- 34:40Speaker 3: the Pirates. It's out of 199. It's Allen and Jenter,
- 34:44Speaker 3: and these rip cards are literally like what it says.
- 34:48Speaker 3: You can rip them open, and you have a chance
- 34:52Speaker 3: to get a better card.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 34:53Speaker 3: You also have a chance to get a worse card.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 34:57Speaker 3: $ 300 card if you sell it like this.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Is it $ 300? Have you done the comps?
- 35:01Speaker 3: Yes. If you just sell it like this, it's $ 300.
- 35:05Speaker 3: But it could be a boat.
- 35:06Speaker 4: It could be a boat in there.
- 35:07Speaker 3: It could be a boat.
- 35:08Speaker 4: It could be a $ 300 card in there.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Inside of this. It could be another $ 300 card. So
- 35:13Speaker 3: I'm going to leave it up to our listeners to
- 35:16Speaker 3: rip or not to rip. This Conor Griffin card. Because
- 35:20Speaker 3: there's a smaller card inside of there. It could be
- 35:23Speaker 3: a one-of-one autograph card. It could be a five-mini autograph card.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Or it could just be some random person that's not
- 35:30Speaker 3: worth anything.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Yep. Huh. It's almost like a gamble. But it's not
- 35:36Speaker 4: because it's a sports card.
- 35:37Speaker 3: It could be a boat.
- 35:37Speaker 4: So it's not a gamble. This is exciting.
- 35:40Speaker 3: I put it on Instagram yesterday. And overwhelmingly, it was like, yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 3: scared money don't make money.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. No, I'm ripping that. 10 times out of 10.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Are you? I can't believe you hadn't heard of rip cards.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I hadn't. Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Do they do them in... See, I haven't really done baseball, though.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Do they do them in football?
- 35:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I love baseball. I think it's... I only know
- 35:59Speaker 3: it as.
- 35:59Speaker 4: You know me. Football and Star Wars over here.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Classic combat.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Probably baseball, then space, space, space, football.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:09Speaker 6: Okay, so... But you said this card you're doing becomes
- 36:15Speaker 6: complete trash.
- 36:16Speaker 3: It could.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Once you rip it.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 36:19Speaker 6: So of the 199s out there, so this is numbered
- 36:21Speaker 6: out of 99, Connor Griffin.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Yep, 199.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Out of 199.
- 36:25Speaker 6: So most people are going to rip it, so there
- 36:27Speaker 6: might only end up being 50 out of 199s out
- 36:31Speaker 6: in circulation.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Because the rest of them got ripped and thrown away.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Oh, so now you're throwing it.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Like logistics and stuff.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I know.
- 36:40Speaker 4: So a lot of people are tearing them up.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Okay, Alvo says risk it for the biscuit.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Nobody else has an opinion.
- 36:47Speaker 4: So, wait, you would rip it, like, right now? Right now.
- 36:50Speaker 4: I say selfishly do it. I just want to see
- 36:52Speaker 4: you do it.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yeah, same. I'm confident right now because Flynn now made
- 36:58Speaker 3: me nervous.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Oh, no, you got to rip it. I shouldn't have
- 37:02Speaker 4: said that. Oh, man. Matt's got his thinking cap on, though.
- 37:05Speaker 4: It's sideways. So, like, he's dropping some knowledge.
- 37:11Speaker 5: He's cooking right now.
- 37:12Speaker 4: If you're not going to rip it, do not sell it.
- 37:16Speaker 4: It is a hold.
- 37:18Speaker 3: It's a hold?
- 37:19Speaker 4: It's a hold. If you don't rip it, you hold it.
- 37:20Speaker 6: You don't sell it right now because the more time
- 37:23Speaker 6: goes by, the less 199s there's going to be. But again,
- 37:26Speaker 6: it's out of 199, so it's not going to be
- 37:29Speaker 6: life-changing money. It's going to be good money. You can
- 37:31Speaker 6: buy some more cards with it. It's not life-changing.
- 37:33Speaker 4: You could get an autographed 101 Shohei Otani.
- 37:38Speaker 3: You could.
- 37:38Speaker 4: That'd be half a million.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Clint said, rip it, only because it's not my money.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I'm not ripping it if it's my money. You rip
- 37:47Speaker 3: it or hold it? What are you comfortable with? I mean,
- 37:52Speaker 3: I think rip it.
- 37:53Speaker 6: You're not coming on this show and teasing a rip
- 37:57Speaker 6: and then not ripping it.
- 37:59Speaker 5: Rip it.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Rip it.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Rip it. No, we're not. I think we're going to
- 38:05Speaker 3: rip it when we come back. We'll do it to
- 38:07Speaker 3: close out today's OTB. We're going to rip this Connor
- 38:11Speaker 3: Griffin $ 300 card for a chance. To get a boat.
- 38:17Speaker 3: That could be a $ 3 card. But it could be
- 38:19Speaker 3: a $ 300 card.
- 38:20Speaker 6: We're going to teach you how to turn $ 300 into $ 3, 000
- 38:21Speaker 6: real quick.

- 39:52Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. Presented
- 39:56Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 40:02Speaker 3: We're still doing some research trying to figure out what's
- 40:04Speaker 3: possible to get here. See if we can get it
- 40:06Speaker 3: ripped before the end of the show.
- 40:09Speaker 4: He gets so scared.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Scare money, don't make money.
- 40:12Speaker 4: It doesn't. But it doesn't lose money either.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Like, he keeps being Switzerland on it.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Rip it.
- 40:18Speaker 4: For sure.
- 40:19Speaker 5: You're fence-sitting.
- 40:19Speaker 3: All right, we are going to get to a little
- 40:23Speaker 3: Ask the Bench. Invite you to buy our friends over
- 40:27Speaker 3: at Dos Equis. It's always a great time to go
- 40:31Speaker 3: for Dos. When was.
- 40:36Speaker 4: The last time you chugged a beer?
- 40:39Speaker 3: Recently. In here, one time. I shot that one. I
- 40:43Speaker 3: think it was me, you, and T-Bob. Remember that? Yeah. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 3: you and T-Bob are way better at checking beers than
- 40:49Speaker 3: I am.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of dominated them.
- 40:50Speaker 3: You did.
- 40:51Speaker 5: I shotgunned one like two weeks ago.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Matt drinks beer faster than anybody I've ever met.
- 40:57Speaker 6: Yeah, T-Bob looked at me like I was just some guy.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Like he didn't go to college with me.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Touche.
- 41:04Speaker 3: That's what I kept being. I was like, I've seen
- 41:07Speaker 3: this idiot do it before. Like he's really good at it.
- 41:09Speaker 3: T-Bob's like, look how big I am. That's exactly what
- 41:14Speaker 3: he kept saying. He's like, dude, look at me, look
- 41:15Speaker 3: at you, look at me, look at you.
- 41:17Speaker 5: That doesn't mean anything.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I know. Nothing at all. Matt Dustin.
- 41:22Speaker 5: I chugged a glass of champagne on Saturday.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you did.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 5: I was in a rush and chugged it. I did.
- 41:27Speaker 5: It's very airy.
- 41:28Speaker 4: It's hard to chug champagne because it bubbles in your esophagus.
- 41:32Speaker 5: In it, yeah. While you're chugging it.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 5: The song goes hard.
- 41:40Speaker 4: It does go hard.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Ask the bench, what is your favorite island destination?
- 41:46Speaker 4: Couldn't tell you.
- 41:47Speaker 5: South Padre.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Love South Padre Island. I've been to the Bahamas.
- 41:51Speaker 4: I've been to one. We went to Aruba on our honeymoon,
- 41:54Speaker 4: and it was great, so I'll go with Aruba.
- 41:56Speaker 3: This is steer towards Flynn.
- 41:58Speaker 5: Mustang Island.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Yeah, Flynn, you've been to all of them. I've been
- 42:01Speaker 4: to a couple. Turks and Caicos. That's where I went
- 42:04Speaker 4: for my 40th birthday party, and it was good. Good time.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Very nice. And it was easy to get to. It
- 42:11Speaker 4: wasn't that far. And it was not.
- 42:16Speaker 6: As expensive as the one I went to this past summer.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Is it crazy that Taylor's more world-traveled than I am?
- 42:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 42:21Speaker 5: I feel like it is.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 42:23Speaker 3: But you, like, you hadn't been anywhere. No. Like, you've
- 42:26Speaker 3: never even seen, like, a panhandle beach or, like, a
- 42:28Speaker 3: Gulf Shores beach. No.
- 42:31Speaker 4: In fairness, the honeymoon is the only time I've left
- 42:34Speaker 4: the state.
- 42:35Speaker 3: The only time I've left the country was, like, on
- 42:37Speaker 3: a cruise. Yes. Playing the Buffalo Bills when we drove
- 42:40Speaker 3: up to Toronto.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Or playing against the Saints in London.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Do you currently have a passport?
- 42:47Speaker 3: No.
- 42:48Speaker 4: So I do because it's good for like.
- 42:50Speaker 3: It expired.
- 42:50Speaker 4: I think everybody should have a passport.
- 42:52Speaker 3: I know. No doubt about it. I should.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Even if you're not planning on traveling, you should get
- 42:55Speaker 4: a passport. I agree.
- 42:57Speaker 3: I agree. See, but we don't really have any off time.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench. What is the best number for
- 43:03Speaker 3: a quarterback?
- 43:03Speaker 4: 47.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Hell yeah, brother. It's a great answer. It's not the
- 43:09Speaker 3: right answer, but it's a great answer. I think the
- 43:11Speaker 3: ideal quarterback number.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I like 10.
- 43:16Speaker 3: I think 8.
- 43:17Speaker 4: You think 8?
- 43:18Speaker 3: God, 8's so solid.
- 43:19Speaker 4: 8's good.
- 43:20Speaker 3: 8's solid.
- 43:21Speaker 4: I'm biased. I like 15 a lot. I do. Is
- 43:26Speaker 4: it the best? No. To me, it's the best.
- 43:30Speaker 3: You could be a slappy and still a pretty good
- 43:32Speaker 3: number 8.
- 43:32Speaker 4: A lot of great 12s.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of great 12s.
- 43:34Speaker 4: I like the 10, 11, 12. Yeah, a lot of
- 43:35Speaker 4: great 12s.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I thought Steve Young looked really good.
- 43:42Speaker 6: I think 5, 10, 15, even like the 5-5s are good.
- 43:49Speaker 5: You going to rip that card?
- 43:51Speaker 4: I'm thinking about it still. He's not doing it.
- 43:53Speaker 3: You going to pay that down?
- 43:55Speaker 4: You going to pay that down? Tease it for tomorrow. No,
- 43:57Speaker 4: it's fine. Tomorrow, Jake is going to think about it.
- 44:01Speaker 4: It's going to be on eBay by noon.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Should we rip it now or should we do it
- 44:08Speaker 3: on social media now? I think we should rip on
- 44:13Speaker 3: our social media. You got to go there to find it.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Y'all should watch Eye in the Sky.
- 44:17Speaker 3: It's because we're doing Eye in the Sky. We did
- 44:18Speaker 3: the first 30 minutes. We're going to do the next
- 44:20Speaker 3: 30 minutes, and it's going to be put out today.
- 44:22Speaker 5: I don't know if it is.
- 44:24Speaker 3: You're going to learn today.
- 44:26Speaker 5: I don't know if it is.
- 44:27Speaker 4: My eyes got paid spills.
- 44:28Speaker 3: You're going to learn today.
- 44:29Speaker 5: I might be holding out.
- 44:31Speaker 3: What LSU's offense did right against Mississippi State. Ask the bench. Yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 3: we're going to rip it. I think we're going to
- 44:41Speaker 3: do it on our social media. At OTB underscore ESPN.
- 44:44Speaker 3: That way you got to go there. And if you're there,
- 44:46Speaker 3: might as well follow us.
- 44:46Speaker 5: Let's do a live video.
- 44:48Speaker 4: Oh, that's fun.
- 44:49Speaker 3: That feels risky. You can do that?
- 44:51Speaker 2: No, we can do it.
- 44:51Speaker 5: We'll do that.
- 44:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 44:52Speaker 4: I'm nervous to go live.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Sweaty palms. Hashtag ask the bench. As players who have
- 44:59Speaker 3: been there, will Auburn be hard for LSU Saturday? I
- 45:01Speaker 3: would think the fans will be on fire. Yeah, I
- 45:04Speaker 3: never won there. Never won there. And I don't know
- 45:08Speaker 3: why it doesn't get mentioned. It's better than Alabama. It's
- 45:10Speaker 3: better than Tennessee. It's better than. I think Florida. I
- 45:13Speaker 3: actually think Jordan-Hare is so underrated. It is a great environment.
- 45:19Speaker 6: The good part is LSU's played in two really nasty
- 45:21Speaker 6: environments already.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Yeah. We love you.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Nope, you got a whole minute left there, bud.
- 45:31Speaker 4: I was excited about this. I was excited about this video,
- 45:34Speaker 4: this live video.
- 45:36Speaker 5: And we can say whatever we want on it.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench, what's the easiest thing to chug?
- 45:43Speaker 3: My high?
- 45:44Speaker 4: My high, for sure. Very chuggable.
- 45:46Speaker 5: But a ranch water is really easy to chug.
- 45:49Speaker 3: What is the best song for a football team to
- 45:51Speaker 3: run onto the field?
- 45:53Speaker 5: Inter-Saman's Badass.
- 45:55Speaker 3: There Goes My Hero by the Foo Fighters. Ooh. Got
- 45:59Speaker 3: some really good high points in that one.
- 46:01Speaker 4: My high school hit, We Ready.
- 46:03Speaker 3: We ready. That one still gets played in games today.
- 46:06Speaker 5: We ready.
- 46:07Speaker 3: We went to a Christian school that only allowed us
- 46:09Speaker 3: to play Braveheart Instrumental or Kirk Franklin. Shit. So the
- 46:12Speaker 3: one time they let us play Foo Fighters in 2000,
- 46:15Speaker 3: it was electric.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Braveheart?
- 46:18Speaker 3: Instrumental.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Instrumental.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Well, there's no words in Braveheart songs.
- 46:22Speaker 3: And Kirk Franklin stomped. And we stomped the hell out
- 46:26Speaker 3: of our pony. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. You
- 46:28Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? We love you. We thank you.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Go America. Off the bench.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Are you going to go Tommy? Go Tommy's icon. G-E-A-U-X.
