Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to Pomoja Ministry. There is a question
- 0:05we left hanging at the end of our last conversation.
- 0:08If God is carrying you, where is He carrying
- 0:12you? Because when you begin looking carefully
- 0:14at Scripture, you discover that God rarely carries
- 0:18His people merely so that they can remain where
- 0:21He found them. He carries them through something
- 0:24because there is often something on the other
- 0:26side. Israel was carried through the wilderness,
- 0:30but the wilderness was not the destination. Joseph
- 0:33was preserved through the pit, slavery, false
- 0:36accusation, and prison, but the prison was not
- 0:40the destination. Elijah was sustained underneath
- 0:43the broom tree, but the broom tree was not the
- 0:47destination. Peter was preserved through failure,
- 0:51but failure was not his destination. And when
- 0:54Jesus described the shepherd finding the lost
- 0:57sheep, the shepherd did not find the sheep merely
- 1:00to sit beside it in the wilderness. He placed
- 1:03it upon his shoulders and carried it home. There
- 1:07is movement in the carrying. There is direction
- 1:11in the carrying. There is purpose in the carrying.
- 1:14And perhaps this is another mystery of divine
- 1:17intervention. God is not only concerned about
- 1:22what he is bringing you out of. He knows what
- 1:26he is bringing you toward. Sometimes we become
- 1:30so consumed with surviving the present season
- 1:33that we forget there may still be something beyond
- 1:37it. When you are in the fire, you are thinking
- 1:40about the fire. When you are in the water, you
- 1:44are thinking about breathing. When you are in
- 1:46the wilderness, you are thinking about survival.
- 1:50When you are in the prison, you are thinking
- 1:52about freedom. When you are exhausted beneath
- 1:56the broom tree, you are thinking about rest,
- 2:00and understandably so. Pain has a way of narrowing
- 2:04our vision. When something hurts badly enough,
- 2:08tomorrow becomes difficult to imagine because
- 2:11today demands all of our attention. But God does
- 2:15not lose sight of tomorrow simply because we
- 2:17cannot see it. He can be working with a destination
- 2:21in mind. while we are still trying to understand
- 2:24the road, and that changes the question. Maybe
- 2:27the question is not only, God, why am I going
- 2:30through this? Maybe another question is, God,
- 2:35what are you preserving me for? Because sometimes
- 2:38the fact that God continues sustaining you is
- 2:41itself evidence that your story is not finished.
- 2:46Let's talk about Moses in this part one, the
- 2:50wilderness. was never the destination. Moses
- 2:55gives us one of the clearest pictures of this.
- 2:58When he looked backward at Israel's journey,
- 3:01he said, the Lord your God carried you as a father
- 3:05carries his son all the way you went until you
- 3:09reach this place. I love those final words. Until
- 3:13you reach this place, God's carrying had direction.
- 3:18Egypt was behind them. The wilderness was around
- 3:21them. But promise was ahead of them. And this
- 3:24is important because Israel could easily have
- 3:26mistaken the wilderness for their new reality.
- 3:30Imagine living there year after year. Sand. Heat.
- 3:35Uncertainty. Mana again. Cloud by day. Fire by
- 3:40night. Moving. Stopping. Moving again. At some
- 3:44point, a temporary environment can begin to feel
- 3:47permanent. And maybe somebody listening understands
- 3:50that. You have been somewhere emotionally, spiritually,
- 3:54relationally, financially, professionally, or
- 3:58personally for so long that you have quietly
- 4:01begun assuming, this must be my life now. But
- 4:05length does not necessarily determine destination.
- 4:09Israel spent years in the wilderness. It was
- 4:12still not Canaan. Joseph spent years away from
- 4:15the fulfillment of his dream. The delay did not
- 4:19cancel the dream. David spent years running from
- 4:22Saul. The cave did not become his throne. There
- 4:25are places God may sustain you in that he never
- 4:29intended you to settle for. And this is where
- 4:32we need wisdom. Because sometimes survival can
- 4:36become comfortable. We learn how to live in the
- 4:38wilderness. We learn where the manna falls. We
- 4:41learn where the water comes from. We learn how
- 4:44to arrange our tents, we become familiar with
- 4:47uncertainty, and eventually the place we once
- 4:50prayed to escape can become the place we are
- 4:53afraid to leave. But divine intervention sometimes
- 4:57comes not merely to comfort you in the wilderness.
- 5:00Sometimes God says, get up, it is time to move.
- 5:05Because what sustained you in one season may
- 5:08not be what God intends for the next. Israel
- 5:12could not build its future around manna forever.
- 5:16Manna was miraculous, but manna was wilderness
- 5:20provision. And when Israel entered the land,
- 5:23the manna stopped. Think about that. Something
- 5:26supernatural stopped, not because God had abandoned
- 5:30them, but because they had arrived somewhere
- 5:33new. Sometimes we interpret the ending of one
- 5:36form of provision as the disappearance of God
- 5:39when actually it may be evidence that the season
- 5:42has changed. Yesterday God carried you one way.
- 5:47Tomorrow He may carry you another way. The method
- 5:51can change without the carrier changing. And
- 5:54that is why faith cannot become attached merely
- 5:57to methods. Faith must remain attached to God.
- 6:03Let's discuss about Joseph. preserved for something
- 6:06he could not yet see. Now think about Joseph.
- 6:11Joseph receives a dream, and almost immediately
- 6:15afterward, his life seems to move in the opposite
- 6:18direction. He dreams of elevation, then goes
- 6:22down into a pit. He dreams of significance, then
- 6:27becomes a slave. He remains faithful, then is
- 6:31falsely accused. He serves well. then is imprisoned.
- 6:37If Joseph judged God's purpose only by his present
- 6:40environment, almost every chapter would appear
- 6:43to contradict the promise. And yet there is a
- 6:46phrase that keeps appearing in Joseph's story.
- 6:49The Lord was with Joseph. That phrase matters
- 6:53because God being with Joseph did not always
- 6:57mean Joseph's circumstances immediately improved.
- 7:02God was with Joseph in Potiphar's house. God
- 7:05was with Joseph in prison. God was with Joseph
- 7:08before Pharaoh ever knew his name. Which means
- 7:12divine presence was operating long before public
- 7:17elevation appeared. And then suddenly the chapter
- 7:20changes. Pharaoh dreams. Nobody can interpret
- 7:24it. The cup bearer remembers Joseph. Joseph is
- 7:28summoned. And in what seems like a single day,
- 7:32the prisoner becomes the governor. But Joseph's
- 7:35story is bigger than personal promotion. God
- 7:38was not merely carrying Joseph toward a better
- 7:41position. There was famine coming. There were
- 7:44lives that would need preservation. There was
- 7:47a family through whom God's covenant purposes
- 7:50would continue. And years later, when Joseph
- 7:54finally sees his brothers again, he can interpret
- 7:57his story differently. You intended to harm me.
- 8:02But God intended it for good, to accomplish what
- 8:05is now being done, the saving of many lives.
- 8:10Joseph can finally see destination. The pit did
- 8:13not explain itself. The prison did not explain
- 8:16itself. But eventually, purpose illuminated the
- 8:21road behind him. And I want to be careful here.
- 8:24Not every painful thing that happens to us should
- 8:27be casually labeled as something God caused.
- 8:31Joseph himself acknowledges human evil. You intended
- 8:36to harm me. Scripture does not pretend the brothers'
- 8:40actions were good. They were not. But the mystery
- 8:44of providence is that human evil did not have
- 8:47the authority to write the final chapter. You
- 8:50intended harm, but God. Those may be two of the
- 8:54most powerful words in Scripture. Human intention
- 8:58existed, but God. Betrayal existed, but God.
- 9:03The pit existed, but God. False accusation existed,
- 9:08but God. Prison existed, but God. The enemy may
- 9:13influence a chapter. He does not own the author.
- 9:16And perhaps divine intervention sometimes means
- 9:18God takes something he did not approve, something
- 9:21he did not call good, something that genuinely
- 9:24wounded you, and refuses to allow it to become
- 9:27meaningless. He redeems. He redirects. He restores.
- 9:33He preserves. And somehow what was designed to
- 9:36end you becomes part of a testimony that serves
- 9:40someone else. Joseph thought he needed deliverance
- 9:43from prison. God knew nations would need Joseph
- 9:47outside the prison. There was a destination bigger
- 9:51than Joseph's comfort. There was assignment.
- 9:55Let's talk about Elijah. God fed him because
- 9:58there was still more. Then there is Elijah, one
- 10:02of the most dramatic prophets in scripture. He
- 10:05confronts Ahab. He stands on Mount Carmel. He
- 10:08calls Israel back to God. Fire falls from heaven.
- 10:13The prophets of Baal are defeated. It is one
- 10:16of those moments where Elijah appears almost
- 10:19invincible and then Jezebel sends one message.
- 10:23Elijah runs. He enters the wilderness. He sits
- 10:27beneath a broom tree, and he has had enough.
- 10:30This powerful prophet reaches the end of himself.
- 10:33And what does God do? God does not begin with
- 10:36a sermon. God does not shame Elijah for being
- 10:39exhausted. An angel touches him and says, Get
- 10:43up and eat. Elijah eats. He rests. The angel
- 10:47returns and says again, Get up and eat, for the
- 10:51journey is too much for you. Listen to that language.
- 10:54The journey is too much for you. That sounds
- 10:57like carrying. God acknowledges the limitation
- 11:01of Elijah's strength, but God also knows something
- 11:04Elijah cannot see in that moment. There is still
- 11:08journey ahead. There is still instruction ahead.
- 11:11There are still kings to anoint. There is still
- 11:14Elisha to call. There is still succession to
- 11:17establish. There is still assignment. Elijah
- 11:20thought he had reached the end. God gave him
- 11:23strength for what came next, and perhaps this
- 11:26is one of the ways God carries us. Sometimes
- 11:30he carries us by giving us enough strength for
- 11:33the next step, not enough information for the
- 11:36next 10 years, not enough explanation to understand
- 11:40everything, just enough grace for today, enough
- 11:44bread, enough water, enough rest, enough strength
- 11:48to stand again. And then he says, get up. because
- 11:52there is still somewhere to go. Maybe you are
- 11:55asking God for the entire map, and God is giving
- 11:58you bread for the next step. Maybe you are asking
- 12:02Him to explain your future, and God is saying,
- 12:05eat, rest, recover, I am not finished with you.
- 12:09There are seasons when divine intervention looks
- 12:12dramatic. Fire from heaven, seas opening, prison
- 12:16doors shaking, angels appearing. But sometimes
- 12:20divine intervention looks like bread beside an
- 12:24exhausted man. Sometimes the miracle is sleep.
- 12:27Sometimes the miracle is strength returning.
- 12:30Sometimes the miracle is discovering that after
- 12:34you thought everything was over, God still has
- 12:38somewhere for you to go. Let's talk about the
- 12:42master himself, Jesus Christ. The shepherd carries
- 12:45the sheep home. And then Jesus gives us perhaps
- 12:49the most intimate picture. A shepherd has one
- 12:52hundred sheep, one becomes lost. The shepherd
- 12:55leaves the ninety -nine and goes after the one.
- 12:58And Jesus says he searches until he finds it,
- 13:01not until he becomes tired, not until the terrain
- 13:05becomes difficult, not until darkness falls,
- 13:08until he finds it. And when he finds the sheep,
- 13:11he places it upon his shoulders, rejoicing. There
- 13:15is something beautiful about that picture. The
- 13:19sheep is no longer navigating. The sheep is no
- 13:22longer finding its own road. The sheep is no
- 13:25longer trying to remember where it made the wrong
- 13:28turn. It is being carried by someone who knows
- 13:32the way home. And maybe that is what somebody
- 13:35needs to hear. You do not always need to know
- 13:39the road when you know the shepherd. There are
- 13:42seasons where God may not explain every turn,
- 13:46but He knows where He is taking you. The sheep's
- 13:50responsibility in that moment is not navigation.
- 13:53It is surrender. And surrender is difficult because
- 13:57we like control. We want maps, timelines, dates,
- 14:02explanations. We want to know when. We want to
- 14:05know how. We want to know who. We want to know
- 14:09what happens next. And sometimes God gives answers,
- 14:14but sometimes He gives something else, His shoulders.
- 14:19And perhaps faith at its deepest level is saying,
- 14:22I do not know where this road turns next, but
- 14:26I know who is carrying me. Because the shepherd
- 14:29does not carry the sheep deeper into lostness,
- 14:33he carries it home. Let's bring all these truths
- 14:38and stories together under this statement. If
- 14:42God is sustaining you, there may still be an
- 14:45assignment ahead. Israel. Joseph. Elijah. The
- 14:50lost sheep. Different circumstances. Different
- 14:53struggles. Different journeys. But there is a
- 14:57pattern. God's sustaining presence is moving
- 15:00somewhere. Israel toward promise. Joseph toward
- 15:04preservation. Elijah back toward assignment,
- 15:08the sheep toward home. And perhaps this is the
- 15:12prophetic word hidden inside this conversation.
- 15:16Do not build your identity around the place where
- 15:19God found you. You may be in a wilderness, but
- 15:23you are not the wilderness. You may have been
- 15:26betrayed, but betrayal is not your name. You
- 15:30may have failed. Failure is not your identity.
- 15:34You may be exhausted. Exhaustion is not your
- 15:38destiny. You may be waiting. Waiting is not necessarily
- 15:42your final address. You may be recovering. Recovery
- 15:46is a season, not necessarily the conclusion.
- 15:50And perhaps one of the enemy's strategies is
- 15:53to convince you to build a permanent identity
- 15:56around a temporary chapter. Joseph could have
- 16:00become the prisoner. David could have become
- 16:04the fugitive. Moses could have become the shepherd
- 16:08in Midian. Peter could have become the disciple
- 16:12who denied Jesus. Elijah could have become the
- 16:16prophet under the broom tree. But God continued
- 16:19writing. And if God is still writing, do not
- 16:24put a period where God has placed a comma. Maybe
- 16:27this is why you survived. Not simply so you could
- 16:31say, I survived. Maybe there is somebody you
- 16:36will strengthen because you survived. Maybe there
- 16:40is somebody you will encourage because you understand
- 16:43the valley. Maybe there is someone whose prison
- 16:46you will recognize because you remember your
- 16:49own. Maybe there is someone who will hear your
- 16:53testimony and discover that their wilderness
- 16:56does not have to become their grave. We often
- 17:00ask God, Why did you allow me to survive this?
- 17:05And sometimes the answer does not become clear
- 17:08until another person needs what God taught you
- 17:11there. Jesus said to Peter, Simon, Simon, Satan
- 17:16has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I
- 17:20have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may
- 17:23not fail. And then Jesus says, when you have
- 17:27turned back, strengthen your brothers. There
- 17:32it is again. Preservation followed by assignment.
- 17:37Jesus did not merely pray for Peter so Peter
- 17:40could survive Peter's worst night. There were
- 17:42people Peter would strengthen afterward. There
- 17:45was preaching ahead. There was Pentecost ahead.
- 17:48There was leadership ahead. There was ministry
- 17:50ahead. There were people who would encounter
- 17:53Christ through the testimony of a man who once
- 17:55denied knowing him. Peter's failure was real.
- 18:00But it was not final and maybe yours isn't either
- 18:04Maybe the fact that God kept you is connected
- 18:08to something you have not seen yet Maybe the
- 18:11reason the fire did not consume you is because
- 18:14there is still something your life must carry
- 18:16Maybe the reason the waters did not sweep you
- 18:19away is because there is still somewhere your
- 18:21feet must go Maybe the reason God sustained you
- 18:24in the wilderness is because the wilderness is
- 18:27not where your story ends And there is something
- 18:31else I want you to see. Sometimes the fact that
- 18:34something survived is itself a prophecy that
- 18:38God still intends to use it. Look at Moses. Pharaoh
- 18:42had ordered Hebrew baby boys to die, yet Moses
- 18:45survived. At the time, nobody looking at that
- 18:49baby floating in a basket along the Nile could
- 18:52have understood everything attached to his survival.
- 18:55There was a burning bush ahead. There was Pharaoh
- 18:58ahead. There was Passover ahead. There was a
- 19:01Red Sea ahead. There was a nation waiting to
- 19:04be delivered. The baby survived, because there
- 19:07was still an assignment attached to the man he
- 19:10would become. Look at David. Saul hunted him.
- 19:14He lived in caves. He moved from place to place.
- 19:18There were moments when David himself said that
- 19:20there was only a step between him and death.
- 19:23Yet David remained. Why? There was still a throne
- 19:28ahead. There were still Psalms ahead. There was
- 19:31still Covenant ahead. There was still something
- 19:34God intended to accomplish through his life.
- 19:37Look at Paul, beaten, imprisoned, shipwrecked,
- 19:42stoned and left for dead, threatened, rejected,
- 19:46yet preserved again and again. And from some
- 19:50of the very places that appeared to restrict
- 19:52him, came words that would eventually travel
- 19:55farther than Paul himself ever could. The prison
- 20:00restricted the apostle. It did not restrict the
- 20:03gospel. And this is where preservation begins
- 20:06to speak. Sometimes surviving yesterday is evidence
- 20:10that God still has something connected to your
- 20:13tomorrow. Not because every person will stand
- 20:17before kings. Not because everyone will receive
- 20:20a public platform. not because every story ends
- 20:24in earthly prominence. Purpose is much bigger
- 20:28than visibility. Sometimes the assignment is
- 20:32a family. Sometimes the assignment is one child.
- 20:36Sometimes it is a person God places in your path.
- 20:40Sometimes it is a testimony. Sometimes it is
- 20:43faithfulness nobody applauds. Sometimes it is
- 20:47a seed you plant that another generation will
- 20:50harvest. But if God has preserved you, do not
- 20:53assume preservation is meaningless. Ask him,
- 20:57Lord, what have you kept me for? Not with pressure,
- 21:01not with anxiety, not because you must manufacture
- 21:05some enormous destiny, but with surrender. Lord,
- 21:09whatever remains for me to do, let my life belong
- 21:13to you. Because maybe preservation itself is
- 21:17whispering, there is still more. And there is
- 21:21another deception that happens in difficult seasons.
- 21:25When the journey becomes long, we assume the
- 21:27destination must still be far away. But scripture
- 21:31does not always work that way. Joseph went to
- 21:34sleep one night as a prisoner. By the end of
- 21:37the next chapter, he was standing before Pharaoh.
- 21:42Israel wandered for years, but eventually there
- 21:45came a day when God said, You have stayed long
- 21:49enough at this mountain. There are seasons of
- 21:52preparation that feel endless until suddenly
- 21:56they are over. There are doors that remain closed
- 22:00for years and then open in a moment. There are
- 22:04prayers that appear to be unanswered until the
- 22:08answer arrives and changes everything. And this
- 22:12does not mean we should manufacture expectations
- 22:15or assign dates God has not given us. Faith is
- 22:20not predicting what God has not promised. Faith
- 22:23is trusting the God who already sees what we
- 22:26cannot. But it does mean we should be careful
- 22:30about assuming that because nothing appears to
- 22:33be changing, nothing is changing. Roots grow
- 22:37underground before fruit appears above ground.
- 22:41Pregnancy develops invisibly before birth becomes
- 22:45visible. Joseph's prison looked unchanged. the
- 22:49night before Pharaoh dreamed. Israel's captivity
- 22:53looked permanent before Moses returned to Egypt.
- 22:57The stone remained in front of Lazarus's tomb
- 23:00until Jesus said, take away the stone. There
- 23:04are moments when years of waiting collide with
- 23:08one moment of divine intervention. And suddenly
- 23:11what looked permanent becomes history. So do
- 23:14not measure God's movement only by visible movement.
- 23:18You may be closer to something than your circumstances
- 23:22are able to tell you. And even if the destination
- 23:25is still far away, the distance does not change
- 23:29the faithfulness of the one carrying you. But
- 23:33perhaps this is the most important part of this
- 23:36conversation. Because if we are not careful,
- 23:40even a message about destination can cause us
- 23:43to become obsessed with destination. We begin
- 23:47asking, Where am I going? When will I arrive?
- 23:51What is my assignment? What is the promise? What
- 23:55will God give me? What will the next season look
- 23:58like? And suddenly our eyes move from the carrier
- 24:02to the destination. But the deepest gift of divine
- 24:06intervention is not Canaan. It is not the palace.
- 24:11It is not the open door. It is not the promotion.
- 24:15It is not the restoration. It is not even the
- 24:18answer. It is God Himself. Because you can reach
- 24:22a destination and still be empty if you arrive
- 24:26without Him. Moses understood this. When God
- 24:30spoke about sending Israel forward, Moses essentially
- 24:33said, If your presence does not go with us, do
- 24:37not send us up from here. Think about that. Moses
- 24:41preferred wilderness with God, over promise without
- 24:45His presence. That is maturity. The goal is not
- 24:49merely to get somewhere. The goal is to remain
- 24:52with God wherever he takes you. So yes, believe
- 24:57there is more. Believe the wilderness is not
- 25:00necessarily the destination. Believe God can
- 25:03redeem the pit. Believe he can restore the exhausted.
- 25:07Believe he can carry the sheep home. Believe
- 25:10preservation may still have purpose attached
- 25:13to it. But above everything else, want Him. If
- 25:18He opens the door, walk with Him. If He closes
- 25:22the door, stay with Him. If He says move, move
- 25:26with Him. If He says wait, wait with Him. If
- 25:31He gives you Canaan, worship Him there. If He
- 25:34gives you manna in the wilderness, worship Him
- 25:38there. because the destination is never more
- 25:41valuable than the presence that carried you to
- 25:44it. And perhaps that is the safest prayer we
- 25:47can pray. Lord, I trust where you are taking
- 25:51me, but more than where you are taking me, I
- 25:55want you. So maybe today you do not need to understand
- 26:00the entire destination. Maybe you simply need
- 26:03enough faith to say, Father, if you are carrying
- 26:06me, I trust where you are taking me. I trust
- 26:10you when I understand. I trust you when I do
- 26:13not. I trust you when the road is visible. I
- 26:17trust you when the next turn disappears into
- 26:20darkness. I trust you when you open the door
- 26:23and I trust you when you close one. I trust you
- 26:27when you tell me why and I trust you when all
- 26:31you give me is enough grace for another day.
- 26:35Because if your arms have carried me this far,
- 26:39I can trust your heart with where you are taking
- 26:41me. And perhaps one day, you will arrive somewhere
- 26:45you could not have imagined while you were crying
- 26:48in the wilderness. You will look backward. You
- 26:52will see the pit. You will see the prison. You
- 26:56will see the broom tree. You will see the waters.
- 27:00You will see the fire. You will remember the
- 27:04nights. You will remember the waiting. You will
- 27:08remember the unanswered questions. And perhaps
- 27:12things that made no sense while you were living
- 27:14them will look different from the other side.
- 27:19You will realize God was not carrying me aimlessly.
- 27:24There was purpose in the preservation. There
- 27:27was destination in the sustaining. There was
- 27:30tomorrow hidden inside the grace that kept me
- 27:33alive today. And maybe you will finally understand
- 27:36why God kept whispering through every chapter.
- 27:40Keep going. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep
- 27:45walking. And when you cannot walk, let me carry
- 27:50you. Not because the road is easy. Not because
- 27:53everything that happened was good. Not because
- 27:56every painful chapter came directly from my hand.
- 27:59But because none of those chapters possesses
- 28:02enough authority to cancel what I have purposed.
- 28:05The pit does not get the final word. The prison
- 28:08does not get the final word. The wilderness does
- 28:11not get the final word. Failure does not get
- 28:14the final word. Exhaustion does not get the final
- 28:17word. And the enemy does not get the final word.
- 28:21God does. And if God is still writing, do not
- 28:25put a period where God has placed a comma. Because
- 28:28God is not finished. But before we close, there
- 28:34is another mystery beginning to emerge. Everything
- 28:38we have explored today involves things we can
- 28:40recognize when we look backward. Israel could
- 28:44remember the wilderness. Joseph could remember
- 28:47the prison. Elijah could remember the broom tree.
- 28:52Peter could remember his failure. We can look
- 28:55backward. and identify moments when God sustained
- 28:59us. But what about the moments we cannot remember?
- 29:04Because we never knew they happened. What about
- 29:08the danger you never saw? What about the conversation
- 29:12happening somewhere else while God was already
- 29:15defending you? What about the door God refused
- 29:19to open because he knew what was behind it? What
- 29:23about the road you wanted to travel but something
- 29:26delayed you? What about the plan formed against
- 29:30you that collapsed before it ever reached you?
- 29:34What about the battle heaven fought on your behalf
- 29:37that you never knew existed? Because scripture
- 29:41reveals something extraordinary. There were moments
- 29:45when God's people were living their lives on
- 29:48one side of the story. While something concerning
- 29:51them was happening somewhere they could not see
- 29:56Israel was below a mountain while Balaam was
- 29:59above it attempting to pronounce a curse over
- 30:02them They apparently knew nothing about it, but
- 30:06God knew Elisha's servant looked around and saw
- 30:10an enemy army. He thought they were surrounded
- 30:13then God opened his eyes and he discovered that
- 30:18an army of heaven had already been there. Peter
- 30:22was walking toward the most difficult night of
- 30:24his discipleship, without understanding everything
- 30:28happening in the spiritual battle surrounding
- 30:30him. And Jesus told him, Simon, Simon, Satan
- 30:36has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But then
- 30:40came the intervention, but I have prayed for
- 30:43you. Before Peter understood the battle, Jesus
- 30:47had already prayed. Before Israel knew somebody
- 30:51wanted to curse them, God had already entered
- 30:55the situation. Before Elisha's servant could
- 30:58see the heavenly army, the army was already there.
- 31:02And that raises one of the most mysterious questions
- 31:05of this entire season. How many times has God
- 31:10intervened in your life without you ever knowing
- 31:14you needed intervention? Maybe some of the greatest
- 31:17miracles of your life are miracles you will never
- 31:21be able to testify about because you never knew
- 31:24they happened. And that is exactly where we will
- 31:27continue. In conversation six of the mystery
- 31:33of divine intervention, the interventions you
- 31:36never saw when God fights battles you didn't
- 31:39know existed. So until next time, stay encouraged,
- 31:44stay in faith. Keep walking when God gives you
- 31:48strength to walk, and when you no longer have
- 31:50the strength, let Him carry you. You may not
- 31:54know where He is taking you. You may not understand
- 31:57why He chose this road. You may not see everything
- 32:01happening around you, but you know the One carrying
- 32:05you. And sometimes, that is enough. Stay tuned
- 32:10as we continue our conversation in the mystery
- 32:13of divine intervention. This is Pomoja Ministry.
- 32:17One conversation, one story, one revelation at
- 32:21a time. Until next time, God bless you.
