- 0:00You know, there's a bit of an epidemic going around the world. I
- 0:03don't mean to spook yet nothing nothing, nothing like that. But people are
- 0:08not getting married at the rate they used to. I've seen that. Yeah,
- 0:13some countries are taking issue with that, Like over in Japan, for
- 0:17example, the government has had to step in because they're tired of people trying
- 0:21to date and not being successful. They need marriages, they need traditional family
- 0:25units. So they now implement their own government dating app. Nothing like the
- 0:31government watching over your dating life, all right, I mean, but I
- 0:35mean, let me tell you a little bit about it, then you can
- 0:36judge, because I know people have all sorts of qualms with dating apps over
- 0:40here in the US OFA. But now this government dating app is going to
- 0:45require people to have ID verification, which I think would be great. I
- 0:49mean really, just like in all Internet social media's, wouldn't that be nice
- 0:53to know every single person on there is a legitimate shit? Right? That
- 0:56would solve a lot of issues. Also, you're gonna have to turn in
- 1:00your tax records to prove your income. We can't have people out there in
- 1:03the dating world lying about their income. All right. I'm a huge fan
- 1:07of that. Especially later on in the dating world where you're like, what's
- 1:11really going on here? Well, that's gonna really I mean, those are
- 1:15one of those things like, you know, you like to you like to
- 1:19have a chance to win them over before they find out things like possibly a
- 1:25low to zero income you know that, or is credit score on there or
- 1:29anything like that. I don't know if they go as far as to have
- 1:32the old the old Fico score, it would be interesting, because yeah,
- 1:37you sometimes you fall in love with somebody and then it's like, hey,
- 1:41it's okay, we can build this together, or we can do this or
- 1:44whatever it may be. But credit score is that's not fair. That's not
- 1:49a fair metric, because we all know things can happen early in your twenties
- 1:53when you rent Home Alone two from cash Wise Video and don't return it for
- 1:56six months and the store closes and then you think you've just won that it's
- 2:00your movie and you don't have to pay, and it goes to collections,
- 2:02and because you move every twelve months, you can't keep up with your mail
- 2:07and so you have no idea, only to find out years later when you
- 2:09get a loan with your band that you've got the lowest score by far,
- 2:15and nobody in the right mind would ever lend you anything. Wow, that
- 2:19one hit home. We've all had that happen. Okay, happy to report.
- 2:24Years later we've got it back up to So no fighting score, So
- 2:30yeah, no fight, go score. But you're gonna have to also have
- 2:34a proof of your height, which I know is an issue on dating apps.
- 2:37But even then, okay, let's go with your driver's license. They
- 2:39should have way what you actually weigh. I think I do now finally,
- 2:45but for the past eight years I was at least twenty pounds off. You
- 2:49just can't. What are you supposed to do? Update it? Like call
- 2:51the DMV, Like, hey, guys, like packed on a few this
- 2:53winter? Can I come in for a reway? No, but don't you?
- 2:55I mean most people are lying about that. Absolutely they should. Your
- 3:00profile picture should be used like a mugshot where you're standing up against the measuring
- 3:05and then you're also on a scale, so it's just literally your height and
- 3:07weight. What if your dating profile picture was your driver's license picture? Now
- 3:12that would be hilarious. Oh that would be fair for the dating website.
- 3:15They're always they're no good. No, Although I'm pretty pleased with mine right
- 3:20now? My when it was right after I got married, I just had
- 3:23to re up mine and I was like, the last one was way better.
- 3:27Oh yeah yeah, but nobody ever asked for it anymore, no,
- 3:30which is also really depressing that you don't get ID. Yes, nothing makes
- 3:36me happier than It's like, can I see your ID? Heck, yes,
- 3:38your cat, I'd love to show it to you. Yeah, here
- 3:40you are. Then, also, in this dating app that the Japanese government
- 3:45is creating, you have to provide your proof of your job and your education
- 3:47level. Okay, so we're just that's basic. I love it, Like
- 3:53just it seems like that would never be a thing, Like the US government
- 3:55would never get involved in something like this, But then over in Japan,
- 3:58it's like it's totally fun. That would be pretty wild. Imagine those social
- 4:01media complains then if the government was now involved in our dating life, like
- 4:06what like what what would those complaints? I mean they complain about just like
- 4:12normal things. I mean they show I mean I don't know. You can
- 4:15imagine though, right you can told you can hear them? Now you could?
- 4:18You can't? Yeah, Like name one, I'll be naughty and I
- 4:21don't speak like that in the morning, Big Natty eight point seven. Well,
- 4:26here we are, man, I know everybody's been texting and calling,
- 4:29going when the heck are you guys going to talk about the weekend? I
- 4:30mean here, for what felt like months, you were promoting this big show
- 4:33at Happy Harry's rip Fest. Yes I was, of course Eve six was
- 4:38the headliner, but the opening act was popular local band, low standards.
- 4:42I think most people are thinking, do we have to hear about these guys.
- 4:45I'm gad, well, maybe this will be Maybe we go out on
- 4:46a high note, because I do have to happily report that it was a
- 4:51high note. Yeah, on Friday night opening for Eve six, Amanda,
- 4:56the best experience of our lives. I mean we've played a lot of shows,
- 4:58you know, famously over tenth now in the Fargamort area, and I
- 5:01think this is number one. I mean, just from the beginning, the
- 5:04crowd out there for an opening act, the accommodations. I mean, here's
- 5:09LS pulling up to the backstage at Happy Harry's Ridfest and they say, here's
- 5:13your trailer. There's beer and water and girls in there, and then we're
- 5:17all turns out it was just a chummy little joke. The road guide,
- 5:21Oh gotcha, like, oh your wives were in there? There were no
- 5:26girls, but it was just the best we got on stage, and of
- 5:29course the pre party, the low standards experience was amazing in the Happy Harry's
- 5:33ten. So Dustin just knocked it out of the park. You were a
- 5:38great host, Amanda. Thank you. Oh gosh, no, no problem,
- 5:41but yeah, huge shout out to Dustin from Happy Harry's Bottle Shops.
- 5:44Meant all the work and effort he puts into Happy Harry's rip Fest and all
- 5:47the sponsors like, it was just so fun to be out there. It
- 5:49was such a good vibe. Of course, the rivers, they theyre always
- 5:54a good time. I don't know, I just I'm kind of sad it's
- 5:56over. I know, back to the show. I mean, we go
- 6:00up there. Amanda does the stage introduction. It was okay, hang on,
- 6:04do I still have this text because I feel like this is what Pike
- 6:08made me say on stage? This is this is worthy? Ever read well?
- 6:12She was, you know, she does with the stage intro like which
- 6:14in radio land is when you go up there and get the crowd hyped up,
- 6:17piped up and I had to say this, well, I wrote you
- 6:20a script correct because I didn't want to like being in the band. I
- 6:24didn't want to be doing this weird double duty. So I was like,
- 6:27I'm not going to do anything. You just say this, okay. It
- 6:29would have been classic if you would have brought yourself on sure, but I
- 6:33said, and now it is the greatest pleasure of my life to introduce this
- 6:39next band. You might know them from their earlier days at the Pickled Parrot,
- 6:43or from their interesting personalities, or from writing the intro to Pike's Prank
- 6:47on Pike and Amanda in the morning. Ladies and gentlemen from Fargo, North
- 6:53Dakota, please make some noise for is this Did you guys just change your
- 6:57name to popular local Bandlow Standards. I kind of like it. I kind
- 7:01of like that Slow Standards, And the crowd's going nuts the whole time.
- 7:04I don't even think they heard what you were saying, because they were just
- 7:06screaming. There was like it's showtime, and we hit the first note of
- 7:10nineteen eighty five by bowling for Soup, which was funny because later in the
- 7:14night when Eve six was on stage, which is awesome, the singer Max
- 7:16gave us a shout out. Did you hear that? No? So he
- 7:19to the crowd said uh, and he said I'll forgive him. But he
- 7:23did say no standards. He said, make some noise for no standards.
- 7:28I got close enough and he said, you know, it's funny because I
- 7:30didn't think I liked any of those songs, but after hearing them the cover
- 7:33songs were playing, He's like, I, actually, you know nineteen eighty
- 7:35five, I really liked it, which is the first song we played you
- 7:39know who who who? Oh? No, I'm aware, and that's the
- 7:42year I was born. I mean for a whole hour. Man, it
- 7:45was just I mean, in my mind I was at Woodstock ninety nine,
- 7:48baby like it was crazy happy. Here he's Ribfest twenty twenty four. That
- 7:54is your Woodstock. Got to meet the band, like not just meet eve
- 7:57six, but like legit, just hang out with them for were they so
- 8:01cool? I mean the coolest. So then, Amanda, now they thought
- 8:03you were no standards. That's fine. Did you say, now we got
- 8:07a little standards? I said to him, I, hey, hey,
- 8:09listen, you guys want us to open anywhere, anytime, just name the
- 8:11place. So yeah, sounds good, so maybe it might be they've probably
- 8:15never heard that before. Well, and then we of course were feeling the
- 8:18band is on such a high, like we're just now in celebration, celebration
- 8:22mode, so we end up, you know, bebopping over after a happy
- 8:24year, He's ripfest is over. We go to Labby's. People are buying
- 8:28a shot to this. I literally met a guy who bought us a shot,
- 8:31and he showed me his Facebook feed, Amanda, and he had posted
- 8:35on his own without ever even meeting me, it said low standards or Eve
- 8:39six should have opened for low standards tonight, he posted, you paid him
- 8:45to write that post that. Then we end up be bopping over to the
- 8:48windbreak where our friends in the band Eighth hour A went to. We had
- 8:52after all this, we had that ten personeub I was talking about the wind
- 8:56break, and from there I am like in no position to probably be in
- 9:01public, let alone get on stage. But the band saw me and they're
- 9:05like, Pike, get up here, come play a song. Eight hour
- 9:09So they want me to come up and play a song in Amanda. That's
- 9:11not a good idea. I felt so bad for anybody in attendance at the
- 9:15windbreak Saturday night because I did not play a single note correct, I'm sure
- 9:18of it, but nonetheless it was a great time. We ended up getting
- 9:22back into an uber after trying to eat at the gas station next door.
- 9:26It turns out that restaurant's closed. My wife told me later that I was
- 9:30trying to get into a door because I thought the restaurant was on the other
- 9:33side of it. So Cody, my band made, and I we each
- 9:35had herse set of keys out trying to see which key work. Oh,
- 9:39did they give you a key years ago for that? No, it turns
- 9:41out it wasn't. It was a closet and you're not going to believe this.
- 9:45The best part of the night is we get into it. We're not
- 9:48there yet. We're headed to Perkins because it's the only place open, and
- 9:52we're in this uber, my wife, Cody, my bandmate, and Jordan,
- 9:54his wife, and Cody's sleeping. He's got to tucker it out.
- 10:00Uber driver starts making conversation. I think I said, did you go out
- 10:03to Happy ear He's rip best at all, Probably gave some rides, right,
- 10:07I'm not kidding. He said, yeah. Actually, some people earlier
- 10:11were saying that the opening band and my heart stopped. But what is he
- 10:16gonna say was terrible? Like, don't I don't know, he said somebody
- 10:22told him that the opening band was better than the headliner. And now,
- 10:28no disrespect to Eve six, because let's be clear, like, as a
- 10:31cover band, you have the advantage of playing only super duper popular songs that
- 10:37everybody loves, correct, whereas Eve six, like they actually wrote some hits
- 10:39of their own. But nonetheless, a man, I like freaked out,
- 10:43like are you kidding me? As if this I couldn't get any gone any
- 10:46better? Tell me you said that's me, that's my band. Yeah,
- 10:50I'm literally shaking Cody awake, I mean Cody, Cody, you got to
- 10:54here with this? Guy just said, like, you're not gonna believe this,
- 10:56sir, You're not gonna believe this uber view that we just got from
- 11:01somebody. It turns out he was just making conversation. He didn't really care
- 11:03all that much. Oh but that's great, Okay, it was great.
- 11:07So ended up getting the whole pie. Yeah, they wouldn't make food because
- 11:09it was too close to closing time or something, and you ate a whole
- 11:13pie. Yeah, Well they got him under the glass there, so they
- 11:16they were able to sell me a pie, And so I sat there and
- 11:18destroyed and it was more of a cheesecake than a pie. So over the
- 11:22next forty eight hours I ate an entire cheesecake. And so what a celebration,
- 11:28what a weekend. Thank you to everybody who came out to Happy Ears
- 11:31RedFest to support the cost. It was a great week And wouldn't you say
- 11:33thank you for everybody who has no standards? So good? Did I get
- 11:39a Manda in the morning? Seven Speak of the Devil's a little spoiler.
- 11:46The band did perform this song in front of a big old crowd, and
- 11:50boy, what'd you think? Good? Do you remember or were you back
- 11:54at the bar? That might have been chit chatting? But uh, I
- 11:56mean coming hot off of a LS so from a few weeks ago, I
- 12:01can only imagine how great it was. Yeah, well, I can't wait
- 12:03to tell you all about it. But man, it's now time for is
- 12:07it weird? Where we discuss the things we do and how weird they may
- 12:11or may not be. That is for us to determine. So would you
- 12:13like to go first? Yeah? So, okay, kind of serious,
- 12:16but it is very annoying to me when people tag my mom who passed away
- 12:22on Facebook, like within a post, not realizing that. I mean,
- 12:26they're just like tagging her in. You know how some people do like the
- 12:28weird adding people to a post, and it's like like a spamy thing.
- 12:33Sometimes it's spam, sometimes it's not. It's just super annoying to me,
- 12:37and I kind of want to just like slide into their dms and be like,
- 12:41she passed away, just to be rude. I know that sounds terrible,
- 12:43but it drives me. Not terrible, No, I think that's totally
- 12:46valid. Well, it depends on what the post is. Like, you
- 12:50see this so many times anytime on Facebook. You see somebody was tagged and
- 12:54like you had not seen a post from them, whether they've passed away or
- 12:56not. It's like it's always spam for the most part. It's like somebody
- 13:00selling ray bands or right now, oh my god, did you see who
- 13:03died? And it's just like a mystery link. So I don't obviously scroll
- 13:07her Facebook page on the regular. It was her birthday a couple of weeks
- 13:09ago, and now I started going through and there is somebody who must have
- 13:13been hacked and they have like all these family photos of people who are like,
- 13:16hey, click this link for crypto and like all the money they've made,
- 13:20but it looks like these are just so within like my memoriam of my
- 13:24mom. There's these like random family photos of people I don't know, and
- 13:28it is driving me crazy. Oh that's so great. Can't you like shut
- 13:31it down? So I the page I did the like whatever you can like
- 13:35click to say it spam. Yeah, but Facebook they probably don't care.
- 13:39They're not taking it. Yeah. But for me, it's more like the
- 13:43visual, like going back and looking at stuff and then there's these random pictures
- 13:46you got to sift through crypto stuff drives me out. And the way the
- 13:50crypto scam things work, it's crazy. I had a family member too that
- 13:52was like suddenly posting all these new like this property he had bought. Yes,
- 13:58and then you're kind of wondering, jeez, what the heck is Jeff
- 14:00been up to? But then they slow play it and eventually he's like,
- 14:03I just got my certification for crypto. It's like, really, this guy
- 14:07is seventy, probably doesn't know how to use a phone, but here he
- 14:09is certified for crypto. But some of these people are taking over these pages
- 14:13and people are clicking on it and getting scammed nuts anyway. I mean,
- 14:20I don't think that's weird, to be fair, So you don't think it'd
- 14:24be weird if I like. But the thing is is, if I even
- 14:26message him, it's probably not them anymore. They've probably lost access to their
- 14:30Facebook page, right that they're getting cryptoed. Yeah, I would guess so,
- 14:35But I'm just thinking about Jeff. Sorry to go back to Jeff Crypto
- 14:39Jeff, my dad's second cousin. Yeah, he keeps like reappearing as real
- 14:45Jeff. Oh, so he's kind of weaving in and out of crypto rich
- 14:48guy Jeff scammer to suddenly it'll be real Jeff again. Interesting. You know,
- 14:54he's one of these guys who has like eleven Facebook profiles, so it's
- 14:58hard to keep drapped. Chances are him and these scammers these a little tug
- 15:03of war. They keep winning the page back over all, Right, So
- 15:05maybe I'll slide in to the deal. And then the sick part is there
- 15:09are times where I'll be like, I don't know, maybe he did get
- 15:13into crypto. You're questioning it, Okay, it's that good all right,
- 15:16aman, is it weird that, as an adult man, not a twenty
- 15:20one year old anymore, believe it or not, to be piling into an
- 15:24uber with more people than are legally allowed. Yeah, that's highly disrespectful.
- 15:30But to who, well the going rate of Uber? Because how you know
- 15:35me? I'm not a I don't even have the Uber app. I don't.
- 15:37I'm not a fun girl who stays out past midnight these days. But
- 15:41isn't there something about Excel? There's people who go out much less than you
- 15:46who have the Uber app? You could, you could have the app.
- 15:48I know I don't have it, but anyway, and I'd feel a lot
- 15:52better if you had the app? There was what an Uber? Isn't there
- 15:56like an Excel version that you're supposed to do if you have more than like
- 15:58three people? Yeah, but the problem with that is it costs more.
- 16:03Well duh, yeah, so you like then? Or how does this work?
- 16:07And can they shut you down? Or do they? Well? Of
- 16:10course they can, but a lot of times they won't, you know,
- 16:11because you're there. It's like you all of a sudden, you're piling in,
- 16:14Like we on Friday, you know, we were leaving labbies heading back,
- 16:18heading back south. So this is post show standing. And so I
- 16:22think it was an ubrac south because it was a van. But I think
- 16:23we had like ten people in this van. And I just see this is
- 16:27where you have to call too. That is so inappropriate. Oh my god,
- 16:30I asked if it was weird not a crime, You guys could have
- 16:34called mom over here. I would have brought I would have brought the school
- 16:37bus over. Oh yeah, guys, what today night were you? You
- 16:42were given rides because I saw yet after taco bell, Mom went to bed.
- 16:51If you would have pulled that bus up, I think we would have
- 16:53walked Amanda in the morning. On Big seven, turns out thirty seven percent
- 17:00of Americans think they can do a better job at being president than the current
- 17:03candidates. You were gonna say, do my job or your job better?
- 17:07They probably feel like the number would be a little larger. Don't you think
- 17:11that's in general how people speak. Oh well, you don't even know what
- 17:15they're talking about or what It's a lot harder than people think in any job,
- 17:21don't you And I'm gonna sound like one of these guys, but don't
- 17:25you think you could though? I mean truly like if given the proper training,
- 17:30Like do you think they're smarter than you were? Okay, dumb question,
- 17:33hang out for are we talking about the president? Yeah? Yeah,
- 17:37training goes into being the president. It's not like you're just on your own.
- 17:41They don't just throw you in there. It's like, all right,
- 17:42go ahead, figure it out, like make some make some laws. Okay,
- 17:47eight o'clock, we want that first bill done. Okay. But it's
- 17:49just funny how some people think they can do other people's jobs. There's always
- 17:52that type of person, and it's the most offensive thing when it's your job.
- 17:56The amount of people my niece yesterday, she's like, I'm just I
- 18:00just am going to be on the radio, like you were just kind of
- 18:02looking at me like it's no big deal. And even again, when you're
- 18:04out in public, it's like I could do that, except for I don't
- 18:07know about the early mornings. Oh okay, so you couldn't do the three
- 18:11thirty alarm clock, but you could do a full on show. It's not
- 18:14as easy as you think, sitting here bantering back and forth on days I
- 18:18don't know, like the day to day for insances after day when your brain
- 18:22is not working long weekends, and yeah, you're trying to pull anything interesting
- 18:26or let alone maybe funny even out of your brain and it's just not happening.
- 18:30The best is when you and I look at each other like one of
- 18:33us has got to come up with something funny to get out of this exactly.
- 18:37But you have some people who say, oh, like I've been thinking
- 18:40about doing radio, like are you guys have any jobs open, or what
- 18:42is your schedule? Could I maybe could I do something during the day,
- 18:45Like well, yeah, here's a time machine, go back ten years and
- 18:51start wearing a mascot at parades and then you know, show up for ten
- 18:56more years and then maybe yeah, we did both kind of start that way.
- 18:59I was the booty end of a donkey suit in Colorado, speaking of
- 19:03presidency. It was a Democratic National Convention, really, and that's how I
- 19:06got my start. A two person costume. I was yep, I was
- 19:08wearing a two person donkey costume and I had to get donkeys for this morning
- 19:14show because it was ninety two point the jackass is what they had changed it
- 19:18into. Well, no, it was the Democratic Convention. I just wait,
- 19:21it wasn't mean you can say the A word. I'm not going to
- 19:23let that slide. Not on this show. It goes outside. You know
- 19:26how many times I have to refrain from saying curse words. But it's for
- 19:30the kids and the fact that you just the one with kids. It's summer
- 19:33vacations. They're not tuning in. It's not that I'm mad. I'm just
- 19:37a little disappointed, like a man in the morning on Big nuety eight point
- 19:44seven. It's summertime. You probably want to do a little vacationing, right,
- 19:47But maybe you don't have a lake place, maybe you can't afford to
- 19:51go to Disney World, or you don't want to be in a car for
- 19:52twelve hours with your kids. So here's some ideas. Okay, because somebody
- 19:56put out a list of the ways you can take of a case in your
- 20:00own hometown without leaving it all. Okay, stay case absolutely, So here's
- 20:04some ideas. And what's just Fargo specific, like what you could do with
- 20:08these ideas, like, for example, engage in outdoor activities. So let's
- 20:14say if we're with a vacation right here in Fargo, let's call it like
- 20:17twenty miles from town. Yeah, probably like a nice linden Wood park that's
- 20:22always beautiful, like do a picnic there, one's a good one. I
- 20:26do prefer Island Park, but there's a lot of construction down there right now,
- 20:29so it's not as appealing like Buffalo River State Park. I know people
- 20:32who've gone on the trails out there, yep, which you can go for
- 20:34a hike, which, to be clear, hiking is just walking. I
- 20:40know it sounds fancier, but it's just going for a walk, right,
- 20:42I mean for me, hiking is like you gotta be in at an inclimb
- 20:47mountain, well mountain there? Good? The luck? Where's Glen? Now?
- 20:52You're gonna have to get east of Hawley to get any of that.
- 20:53What Glendo's is that all Glendo? I've never heard of that. You're not
- 20:56trying to think of Glendon, are you? That would be up there on
- 21:00my Lisden things to do for sure? Yeah, Listen, there's a lot
- 21:03once you you know, everyone just sees it from Highway ten, but you
- 21:06get into the town. There's some stuff going on all right, like a
- 21:10school, some neighborhoods. But they also say, if you really want to
- 21:15spice it up for your outdoor activity, you can add in some bird watching
- 21:18or photography. Oh, Yeah, that'd be kind of fun, would it.
- 21:22Yeah, bird watching, watching birds I have. I have a friend
- 21:26who does that with her daughter. Every once in a while. They'll go
- 21:29out and, you know, do identify birds or just enjoy the nature.
- 21:34I'm going to say something here and you're gonna scoff. But I know very
- 21:37little about bird watching, but I do know the term used for describing a
- 21:41bird sort of vibe. Yeah, I'm not even gonna say. I can't
- 21:45even say it's it's it's hilarious, but it's I can't say. You've drawn
- 21:52too much attention to it now now I have. Yeah, my mother in
- 21:55law gave us a bird watching book. Feel free to google it. By
- 21:59the way, been bird watching and asking what's the how you describe the overall
- 22:03appearance of a bird? Just go ahead, I'm looking. Yeah, No,
- 22:07by all means don't do all you're driving, of course, but go
- 22:10ahead, a manda. But yeah, so she gave us that book,
- 22:14like all the different birds and everything. Yeah, yeah, did you just
- 22:18see it? Says that word and then says birding. Yeah. The definition
- 22:22is the overall impression or appearance of a bird, garnered from such features as
- 22:26shape, posture, flying, style or other habitual movements. It's four letters
- 22:34and it's not jazz. It's not jazzon I'd like to buy a vowel.
- 22:41Another idea for a vacation without leaving your own town Fargo, you can plan
- 22:45for a foodie adventure. Now how fun a sad sound? Love this and
- 22:51I have not done it, and I've told my friends I've wanted to do
- 22:53this, especially with downtown Fargo and all these really cool restaurants that they have
- 22:56right now, well always, but it feels like you go down to one
- 23:02and you don't get to explore them all. But to do like an appetizer
- 23:04crawl, like go somewhere and say, hey, what are you known for?
- 23:07Get that appetizer, one drink and just kind of bebop around. Also,
- 23:11that's amazing. Yeah, Dust from Happy Harry's always talks about doing appetizer
- 23:15crawls, like a progressive kind of depending. There's so many different ways to
- 23:18do that though. That sounds lovely. Like even West Fargo, we have
- 23:21not been to a lot of the new bars that are over there, and
- 23:25like the og of West Fargo, not over in the Lights area, but
- 23:27down there. Yeah, so like doing something like that over there, just
- 23:30kind of picking a spot in an area. Yeah, it's just it's one
- 23:33of these things where we talk about it sounds cool, but then you have
- 23:37to take the step of like, actually, somebody has to plan it,
- 23:40somebody has to invite people. But it would be cool, absolutely, And
- 23:45I am really terrible about just doing stuff like that unless somebody is coming to
- 23:48visit. I have a couple of aunts coming from Colorado and a couple of
- 23:52weeks. I'm like, they're like, oh, we want to actually see
- 23:53Fargo. Okay, here we go. This will give me a reason to
- 23:57go and explore a little bit more fund it. And that's number two actually
- 24:00on this list of ways to enjoy your hometown for vacation. Just become a
- 24:03tourist in your own city. Treat it like you're the one visiting. What
- 24:07would you go see? You know, you could go to your favorite place.
- 24:11I know, the Yumcom Center. I don't know if I have ever
- 24:17been there. What was I thinking then? I'm trying to think of it's
- 24:22a great I mean, listen, they got this boat in there. No,
- 24:25I'm very interesting. I've seen pictures because I don't think I've actually been
- 24:30there. We'll take the kids as a ride a passage for kids growing up
- 24:33here to be going to the Yumcom Center, you know, if the school,
- 24:34then take them you auto, and then you take them over to Island
- 24:37Park and there's a statue of a guy and you can read the thing.
- 24:41What guy, that's a good question, didn't you. The guy's name Thomas
- 24:45Fargo. He founded this great city back in eighteen fifty eight. And finally,
- 24:52the best way to enjoy your own hometown for a vacation host a themed
- 24:57staycation at home. Oh yes, you can take in your home and home.
- 25:03You can, you know, get a bunch of like beach toys out
- 25:04and yeah, make some tropical drinks and get the like some steel drum music
- 25:08going on. My kids are good about this. In the winter, they
- 25:12do like stay They'll take the beach towels out. Sometimes act like Briggsy has
- 25:18a bunk bed, so he'll act like that's a pontoon. And then they're
- 25:22in their their minds like they're so creative like that. I'm like, okay,
- 25:26let's like roll into this, here we go. I'm ready. I
- 25:29mean, I don't toss on the swimsuit or anything, because it's the dead
- 25:33o Winter, Come on, mom, get into it. They do though.
- 25:36I love that weather theme automatically go beach theme, but would be another
- 25:42fun one. You could do medieval themed. You could do Renaissance the which
- 25:48is similar. Oh, I don't know why I speaking of that. Looking
- 25:52for a staycation? This is and I'm being serious. The Renaissance Fair is
- 25:57going to be in town this week, in the next week because they actually
- 26:00posted yesterday, you have a chance to win tickets. I'm gonna be picking
- 26:03winner here soon. Yes, I've never done that. I want to know
- 26:04you one of those big, big turkey legs. Yes, that's really all
- 26:08I want out of it. I want that. Well, that is going
- 26:11to be some staycation family fun. Thank you, Pike. Get Amanda in
- 26:15the morning on Big eight point seven and now Amanda stills the sea looks seed.
- 26:22Baranti by Valley Service Mechanical and ben Affleck are wyatly selling their sixty million
- 26:30dollar home. There's nothing quiet about it, unfortunately, because everybody knows it's
- 26:34true. But how does that mean? I mean, that's kind of the
- 26:38question. Right now. They're both wearing their rings. He's obviously been living
- 26:44in a different place now for a couple of months. They have been spotted
- 26:47together a couple of times. I truly think that they're trying to work things
- 26:51out. And Ben gave her this ultimatum of hey, I don't want to
- 26:55have this lifestyle that you're trying to live. Where do they live again?
- 26:57Not Calabass Is it some fans neighborhood? Is it Beverly Hills. I have
- 27:02no idea. I'm gonna look at I got my Zillow app. Just type
- 27:04in Ben and j Loo's crib and see see what your thoughts are. Then
- 27:10is now living in Brentwood, which I think is a way more low key
- 27:12neighborhood. I think that was really popular. Sadly, the reason I know
- 27:17about that community is because that's where OJ and typed in Beverly Hills. There
- 27:22are no properties for sale in Beverly Hills. Wait, I have to update
- 27:26my parameters. Oh oh see, I was looking for four bedrooms. Yeah,
- 27:32we got chat. Okay, the price, I gotta bump that up.
- 27:37Is there even like a sixty five million dollar price range? Or do
- 27:40you just put more? Yeah? Look at this, I put any price
- 27:42so it's like minimum two mil. But you can get into a nice little
- 27:45place for six mail in Beverly Hills. No big deal. You can rent
- 27:52town half of it. Really say it'd be great. Well, some people
- 27:55thought cancel culture was gonna get Will Smith. Not the case. His new
- 27:59Bad Boys Right Die movie was number one of the box office over the weekend.
- 28:03They thought maybe bringing in about forty mil. Brought in fifty six million
- 28:06bucks. Is this one you'd go see? I won't go see it.
- 28:10I'm just gonna be honest. I loved Bad Boys one. Didn't watch the
- 28:14second one despite it being very popular when I was like, you know,
- 28:17junior high or something. Uh No, I liked the first one. It
- 28:21was kind of sad though. There was a scene where one of the I
- 28:23think it was Will Smith's wife or girlfriend gets killed and it like gave me
- 28:27nightmares. I do not remember this movie to save my life. Okay,
- 28:30there're two cops. Yeah, now here's a multi family ten units in Beverly
- 28:37Hill. Seven and a half mil. But it's sixteen bad sixteen bath.
- 28:41What do you do? I mean you would you know it's it's it's like
- 28:44an apartment, So come on seven and a half mil. Well, then
- 28:47you could just rent it out? How many how much would it go in
- 28:49rate B for a room there? You think I can't imagine for an airbnb?
- 28:53Be insane? Can we get some people and not anybody want to go
- 28:57in on this right now? Sixty bedroom? This is real estate radio.
- 29:03This is like an investment decision. A man and I can how much can
- 29:07you phone up right now? I think I still had a twenty from the
- 29:11a teen, I had five hundred dollars perfect. You know who might be
- 29:17able to take you up on this? As Nick Cannon? I think all
- 29:18of his kids could and baby mamas could live under that roof. I see
- 29:22now that would be sweet, This would be nice, and you know,
- 29:25I may I recommend that to you, Nick Cannon, because this whole situation
- 29:29drives me crazy. Reason we're talking about it is he has twelve kids,
- 29:32six different baby mamas, and he apparently has insured his family jewels for ten
- 29:37million dollars and he's thinking about having more. You're not even a father to
- 29:42these kids, because you're not there every single day. It's just money.
- 29:45It's just money to you. Why is he ensuring his you know, his
- 29:49stuff? What kind of who's writing policies for that? I'm guessing your husband's
- 29:55an insurance guy. Could I go through Nodak and insure my I don't think
- 29:59so, you know, I don't. And what is he worried about happening
- 30:02A lorraina Bobbitt situation. I don't know. I guess if that did happen,
- 30:06it would be nice to get a little payout. I mean, was beyond
