Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / Banks Admit To Lying!?🔥Ripple CEO slams Banks!🚨
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Ripple is backhanding the banks as all of this is
- 0:03Speaker 1: being exposed right now. There's a lot we're going to
- 0:05Speaker 1: be breaking down today. Let's get started. I want to
- 0:08Speaker 1: thank our sponsor today and that is Uphold. We've all
- 0:11Speaker 1: been there. Expenses pop up right when the market's starting
- 0:15Speaker 1: to heat up. It's not the right time to sell.
- 0:17Speaker 1: The last thing you want to do is sell your Bitcoin,
- 0:19Speaker 1: your ethereum, your XRP, or even your stable coin USDC.
- 0:24Speaker 1: This is exactly why Uphold launched the Exa credit card.
- 0:27Speaker 1: When I found out about this, I was blown away.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's an instant line of credit that lets you borrow
- 0:33Speaker 1: against your crypto without having to sell. All you have
- 0:36Speaker 1: to do is just use your assets as collateral and
- 0:39Speaker 1: spend it worldwide using a virtual visa card. This is
- 0:42Speaker 1: the coolest feature I love about this. There are no
- 0:45Speaker 1: credit checks and you can repay on a schedule that
- 0:48Speaker 1: works specifically for you. It's the smartest way to stay
- 0:52Speaker 1: long in the market while accessing your portfolio's value. Today,
- 0:56Speaker 1: download the Uphold app and get your virtual Exa card
- 0:59Speaker 1: in just a few taps. Let's take a look at Clarity,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and of course this is Clarity all time pretty much
- 1:06Speaker 1: no movement.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Guys.
- 1:07Speaker 1: This is the issue that we are facing right now
- 1:09Speaker 1: with of course DC continuing to slow down. Well, what
- 1:13Speaker 1: we have today to show you may change the course
- 1:16Speaker 1: of where Clarity is going, because I think lawmakers, once
- 1:19Speaker 1: they hear some of the things we're going to reveal,
- 1:21Speaker 1: they are going to start to change their minds of
- 1:23Speaker 1: how these banks are actually playing ball. I want to
- 1:26Speaker 1: go to a clip real quick, because this is Brad
- 1:29Speaker 1: calling out Jamie Diamond. Take a look.
- 1:31Speaker 3: But you heard what Jamie Diamond said to me. He's
- 1:34Speaker 3: not happy with the Clarity Act. He doesn't like the
- 1:36Speaker 3: fact that the crypto companies will be able to pay rewards.
- 1:39Speaker 3: He's going to fight it. What is your take from
- 1:41Speaker 3: Reppel's standpoint.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Jamie Diamond has been dismissing this industry for a decade.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I think Jamie Diamond also should be clear that he
- 1:48Speaker 4: is trying to protect and dig a deeper moat for
- 1:51Speaker 4: a business. It's extremely profitable for them and they want
- 1:54Speaker 4: to kind of maintain the status quo.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's either intentionally.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Misrepresentation or even negligent to try to make support for
- 2:01Speaker 4: the Clarity at go away. As much as we could
- 2:03Speaker 4: talk about whether or not Brian Armstrong is representing the industry.
- 2:06Speaker 2: He's not. He's representing coinbase all right, guys.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So there you saw with Brad really going hard on
- 2:12Speaker 1: Jamie Diamond, mainly calling him either negligent or doing it
- 2:17Speaker 1: on purpose. What do you guys think? Just drop some
- 2:19Speaker 1: comments down below. We'd love to get your feedback. Ripple, though,
- 2:22Speaker 1: does continue to support the cause and what they're doing
- 2:25Speaker 1: here at the Congressional baseball game, trying to push lawmakers
- 2:29Speaker 1: into a position to where they understand this is good
- 2:31Speaker 1: for the industry, it's good for Americans. That's the message
- 2:34Speaker 1: that they are sending. I have a clip here that
- 2:37Speaker 1: I want to play for you guys, because this clip
- 2:39Speaker 1: will get into Brad going into a comparison of how
- 2:44Speaker 1: they are doing versus JP Morgan.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 2:47Speaker 4: And even as I said earlier, Jamie Diamond used to
- 2:50Speaker 4: only say bad things about this industry, and even he
- 2:53Speaker 4: is acknowledging things like stable coins are really going to
- 2:56Speaker 4: be an integral part of our future payment system.
- 2:58Speaker 2: And there are stable coin Roath.
- 3:00Speaker 4: You know, we launched that about eighteen months ago and
- 3:03Speaker 4: it's already a top five stable coin. And if you
- 3:05Speaker 4: look at JP Morgan. They generate twenty billion dollars of
- 3:09Speaker 4: revenue from their payments business. We expect to end this
- 3:13Speaker 4: year with a billion dollar revenue run rate, not including
- 3:16Speaker 4: the XRP on our balance sheet.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Well, those those acquisitions certainly made a lot of investors
- 3:22Speaker 3: believe that Ripple has become part of the global financial system.
- 3:27Speaker 1: All right, So there you have it. Brad kind of
- 3:29Speaker 1: calling it out right there, knowing that JB. Nyman is
- 3:31Speaker 1: listening because this could mean huge upside for Ripple in general,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and he is right. When you look at the stable
- 3:37Speaker 1: coins by market cap, especially on the volume that's playing out,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you've got Tether, USDC or Liberty, and then of course Ripple.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I think what we will see though most likely it's
- 3:48Speaker 1: going to be Ripple coming into number three flipping world
- 3:52Speaker 1: USD one, which is we're Liberty five, and I think
- 3:54Speaker 1: this will play out into a very positive format for Ripple.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Ripple also partner with bitso this was expanding their partnership
- 4:03Speaker 1: to advance the stable coin settlement intin Latin America. And
- 4:06Speaker 1: this is important when you look at the volume that's
- 4:09Speaker 1: playing into this spot trading volume, all of those pairs
- 4:12Speaker 1: right there guys moving into r l USD, So get
- 4:15Speaker 1: ready for some pretty big expansion, I think, and this
- 4:19Speaker 1: will be only one of many areas around the globe
- 4:22Speaker 1: that I think Ripple's going to continue to do very
- 4:24Speaker 1: well with RLUSD going multi chain. And you've got to
- 4:28Speaker 1: see it right there, guys. Are LUSD now alive across
- 4:30Speaker 1: ecosystem via wormhole. This of course is happening over on
- 4:34Speaker 1: Kraken's Inc.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Chain.
- 4:35Speaker 1: You've got uniswap with the unitchain and then of course
- 4:40Speaker 1: Optimism and base all of that is available now, so
- 4:43Speaker 1: it is moving quickly. This is something that we ran
- 4:46Speaker 1: across in some research, which is where it breaks down
- 4:49Speaker 1: what the banks really think. So they're out there on
- 4:51Speaker 1: TV and interviews telling us one thing, but when it
- 4:56Speaker 1: comes to actually telling the truth, they have to do
- 4:59Speaker 1: it in they're revealing their financials, and this is where
- 5:03Speaker 1: we started to break this down. So we did some
- 5:05Speaker 1: research on this. If you go all the way into
- 5:07Speaker 1: this last page, and this was a highlight, and then
- 5:09Speaker 1: we'll play a clip for you that this happened right here, guys,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and you've probably seen some of this out there on Twitter.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But because I would bet that the deposit tokens. What
- 5:16Speaker 1: they're talking about. There's their own token, and stable coins
- 5:18Speaker 1: have some role in the future. We want to be
- 5:20Speaker 1: capable of doing that. But we are seeing zero demand
- 5:23Speaker 1: on this, So zero demand on their own deposit token.
- 5:27Speaker 1: This is why I think we're going to continue to
- 5:29Speaker 1: see some pressure. So when you look at zero demand
- 5:32Speaker 1: here from JP Morgan and what we're seeing with the
- 5:36Speaker 1: banking ecosystems, then you flip over to a clip from Ripple.
- 5:40Speaker 1: This is Jack McDonald talking about what kind of demand
- 5:43Speaker 1: they're going to look at.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 5:45Speaker 5: They're getting more and more comfortable. We're seeing this through
- 5:47Speaker 5: our Ripple Prime business. They're getting more and more comfortable
- 5:49Speaker 5: wanting to use a stable coin like our all USD
- 5:52Speaker 5: as good collateral. And if we can get the clearing
- 5:54Speaker 5: counterparties and the exchanges in the traditional finance world and
- 5:59Speaker 5: the regulators comfortble with that as well. That is just
- 6:01Speaker 5: a massive, massive unlock. Just recently out of the SEC
- 6:05Speaker 5: that essentially wrote a no action letter on the treatment
- 6:07Speaker 5: of stable coins, and the haircut should no longer be
- 6:10Speaker 5: one hundred percent, but it should be two percent, the
- 6:12Speaker 5: same way that money market funds are. That's a massive
- 6:15Speaker 5: step forward, and so I think that's on the top
- 6:17Speaker 5: of my Christmas.
- 6:18Speaker 1: List, and he is right, that is a massive step forward.
- 6:21Speaker 1: That alone from the SEC in terms of the haircut
- 6:25Speaker 1: ratio is I think why the banks have really been
- 6:28Speaker 1: in a position of defense mode. Now, this next clip
- 6:31Speaker 1: we're going to go into is the president and CEO
- 6:35Speaker 1: of P and C. And if you guys don't know,
- 6:37Speaker 1: that's a top five bank in the United States, and
- 6:41Speaker 1: they go into the very point that we have been
- 6:44Speaker 1: arguing for a very long time. They're admitting it the
- 6:47Speaker 1: quiet part out loud, and that is that there is
- 6:50Speaker 1: no interest from their customers actually with deposit flight. If
- 6:55Speaker 1: this is the case, if this is what the banks
- 6:57Speaker 1: believe and they say it, then why are we not
- 7:02Speaker 1: seeing Congress and lawmakers acting on this and simply go
- 7:06Speaker 1: back to the original origin of what we've really needed
- 7:09Speaker 1: to do around Genius Act, and that is forget about
- 7:12Speaker 1: passive yield, just go back to traditional you if the
- 7:15Speaker 1: banks are no longer afraid of this, take a.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Look at this one.
- 7:18Speaker 1: The other pisa on the balls of competition side has
- 7:21Speaker 1: been around AI driven gash optimization and what that might do.
- 7:26Speaker 5: I guess what are your views there.
- 7:31Speaker 6: I don't understand Royal that's coming from the ability to
- 7:34Speaker 6: move money quickly with little burden will be more driven
- 7:38Speaker 6: by open banking and API connectivity. Then it will be
- 7:42Speaker 6: on AI. I don't need AI to figure out that.
- 7:44Speaker 6: If it's super easy and I care, I can just
- 7:46Speaker 6: move money into my Vanguard account or my Fidelity account,
- 7:51Speaker 6: or just shop PNC internally for the best right or
- 7:54Speaker 6: average consumer balance, you know, ten thousand bucks or something
- 7:58Speaker 6: in our checking accounts. People aren't try and invest that
- 8:01Speaker 6: extra thousand dollars to earn another twenty basis points. You know,
- 8:05Speaker 6: our wealth clients largely earn the same they would earn
- 8:09Speaker 6: from a money fund. So the whole noise and I'm
- 8:11Speaker 6: going to have cash mixer, and I'm going to wizzit
- 8:13Speaker 6: all around through open banking, and I'm going to arm
- 8:15Speaker 6: the last basis point out of this person with an
- 8:17Speaker 6: eight thousand dollars balance. Sounded like somebody made that up
- 8:22Speaker 6: on a SoundBite. You guys all ran with it. You
- 8:24Speaker 6: don't need that, yes, yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 2: All right, there you have it. Guys.
- 8:29Speaker 1: That's the banks basically saying deposit flight is not an
- 8:33Speaker 1: issue at all. In fact, they are laughing at the
- 8:36Speaker 1: idea of deposit flight. So hopefully all of you lawmakers
- 8:40Speaker 1: that are watching our show right now, and there's many
- 8:42Speaker 1: of you I know that do you need to take
- 8:44Speaker 1: them at their work and understand that this is no
- 8:47Speaker 1: longer an issue for the banks. In fact, it was
- 8:50Speaker 1: never an issue for the banks. And let's get this
- 8:53Speaker 1: moving forward and out of the way, because I think
- 8:55Speaker 1: the real narrative that will go into the midterms is
- 8:59Speaker 1: the fact that you're keeping Americans from actually earning any
- 9:02Speaker 1: money on what they do want to put into this
- 9:05Speaker 1: ecosystem called Crypto. One of a note that you'll know
- 9:08Speaker 1: from that clip there is he's talking about that AI
- 9:10Speaker 1: would essentially become your new financial planner of being able
- 9:13Speaker 1: to zip your money around make the best asset yields
- 9:16Speaker 1: that you can. And of course Brad garling House and
- 9:20Speaker 1: Ripple have launched an alternative to this, and he actually
- 9:24Speaker 1: launches it really in comparison to what MasterCard is trying
- 9:27Speaker 1: to do, and he said the MasterCard announcement was kind
- 9:29Speaker 1: of a nothing burger.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Listen in well, Ripple is launching a new AI starter
- 9:34Speaker 3: kit for the XRP Ledger curated set of tools to
- 9:39Speaker 3: allow developers to build agent powered applications and make payments
- 9:42Speaker 3: on the company's ledger. Brad, this is a big deal.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Congrats on this launch. Tell us more.
- 9:47Speaker 4: About this, and so we want to make sure that
- 9:49Speaker 4: we are future ready. In future proof is how we
- 9:52Speaker 4: think about XRP and the XRP ledger. There's announcement yesterday
- 9:56Speaker 4: where MasterCard is partnering with about thirty different companies in
- 9:58Speaker 4: the industry.
- 9:59Speaker 2: To help construct some of that. We were a part
- 10:02Speaker 2: of that.
- 10:02Speaker 4: You know, I think sometimes the excitement around these things
- 10:05Speaker 4: get ahead of reality. You know, I'm not going to
- 10:08Speaker 4: go connect a AI agent to you my brokerage account or.
- 10:11Speaker 2: My primary checking account.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I'm happy to go to experiment and you know, to
- 10:15Speaker 4: do things and let's see where this all goes. But
- 10:17Speaker 4: I think there's going to have to be a lot
- 10:18Speaker 4: of protections and structure around that before people really connect
- 10:22Speaker 4: to their bank account to it an AI agent.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Let me know what you guys think. If we do
- 10:26Speaker 1: see an evolution of AI agents that are capable of
- 10:30Speaker 1: actually getting the best yield, would you enable an AI
- 10:34Speaker 1: agent on one of your accounts. Let's just call it
- 10:36Speaker 1: a test account. Maybe it's one percent, two percent of
- 10:40Speaker 1: you know what your holdings are, would you test that
- 10:43Speaker 1: out there? Let me know in the comments down below.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Last clip.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I want to get into is Ripple strategy here going
- 10:49Speaker 1: forward because many people would say, all right, they have
- 10:51Speaker 1: acquired many companies. Are they going to stop acquiring companies? Well,
- 10:57Speaker 1: Brad says something about that.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Well, Brad, I.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Mean this is this is a victory for Ripple, and
- 11:03Speaker 3: do you want to do more acquisitions to continue scaling up?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Do you need that to scale up?
- 11:08Speaker 2: You know?
- 11:08Speaker 4: Right now, Maria, it's kind of uh, you know, focus
- 11:12Speaker 4: on what we have, stick to our knitting a little bit,
- 11:14Speaker 4: kind of want to take a moment and digest. There is, however,
- 11:17Speaker 4: a lot of dynamic activity in our industry, so I
- 11:19Speaker 4: think you're going to continue to see opportunities and we
- 11:22Speaker 4: will remain proactive.
- 11:23Speaker 2: We have a very strong balance sheet.
- 11:26Speaker 1: No acquisitions in plan, wink. I think in general, I
- 11:31Speaker 1: think they've got something on order right now in terms
- 11:34Speaker 1: of going to the future where Ripple is heading. And
- 11:37Speaker 1: I don't know this thing around AI integration. I think
- 11:40Speaker 1: the expansion of what they're doing with r l USD
- 11:43Speaker 1: that's something to keep a very close eye on with
- 11:45Speaker 1: Ripple will continue to cover this, so stay tuned. If
