- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on everybody? It
- 0:15Speaker 1: is the most anticipated Inside the Birds podcast of the offseason.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Mosher with Adam Kaplan and Andrew to check who
- 0:25Speaker 1: from Inside the Birds dot Com as we do our
- 0:28Speaker 1: annual NFL Draft first round mock cast. And I'm excited.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I think there are some interesting parts of the draft,
- 0:37Speaker 1: fellas that first of all, entice me starting off the bat,
- 0:41Speaker 1: You've got six teams that have two first round picks, right, so,
- 0:47Speaker 1: right off the bat tends to make me think there'll
- 0:49Speaker 1: be some trades. You know you'd like the package picks
- 0:51Speaker 1: and move up. There's a good opportunity for that. And
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'll get your guys' thoughts on this real quick before
- 0:56Speaker 1: we get started. You could argue I didn't even have
- 0:59Speaker 1: to you. It's true, five or six of the top
- 1:02Speaker 1: ten talents of this team of this draft are not
- 1:05Speaker 1: necessarily players who are of positional value for a lot
- 1:09Speaker 1: of teams. Jeremiah Love the running back, Sunny Styles, off ball, linebacker,
- 1:14Speaker 1: Caleb Downs, safety, Kenyon Sadik, tight end veg Ione guard
- 1:20Speaker 1: only right. So that to me, Adam, we'll start with you,
- 1:22Speaker 1: kind of makes the draft really interesting. As far as
- 1:25Speaker 1: do teams just sacrifice that for the betterment of taking
- 1:28Speaker 1: the best player, or do they hold true and try
- 1:31Speaker 1: to overdraft other guys, or do they move around in
- 1:34Speaker 1: close trades.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, gets fascinating. Well, here's the thing, as we've been
- 1:38Speaker 2: talking about for weeks now, this is not a blue
- 1:40Speaker 2: chip first round. It's a weak blue chip first round.
- 1:43Speaker 2: But there's death at a lot of positions. You can
- 1:46Speaker 2: get quality starters, second third, maybe even the fourth round.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And well, as we go through this draft, we'll explain
- 1:52Speaker 2: as we get to certain positions how deep it is.
- 1:53Speaker 2: But honestly, from I mean, I haven't had a team
- 1:59Speaker 2: tell me there's more than really fifteen blue chip players,
- 2:01Speaker 2: and I think that's a lot. Say, I think it's
- 2:02Speaker 2: closer to ten. To be honest with you. You kind
- 2:04Speaker 2: of went over some of them. And the thing is,
- 2:07Speaker 2: there's the other term is clean prospects. We're not talking
- 2:12Speaker 2: about off the field really, it's more size, athleticism, certain
- 2:17Speaker 2: technique issues that they have. And this is not the
- 2:19Speaker 2: cleanest group of blue chip prospects. You know, there seems
- 2:24Speaker 2: to be a lot that personal people have not but
- 2:26Speaker 2: as you know, a lot of guys will outperform the
- 2:29Speaker 2: draft position. That's what's the kind of thing that we
- 2:31Speaker 2: love about this draft, because when you think you know
- 2:33Speaker 2: about a player, then the guy becomes better than you think.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You know, he's making a good point. Andrew, I don't know.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You know, I know you dig around a lot, you
- 2:39Speaker 1: talk to a lot of people, but you know, if
- 2:40Speaker 1: you ask about some of the top five or six
- 2:43Speaker 1: or seven players, you know, I spoke to a bunch
- 2:44Speaker 1: of guys, and you know, I said, who's a multiple
- 2:47Speaker 1: time Pro bowler right off the bat, and you know
- 2:51Speaker 1: love Obviously it's hard for running backs if they have
- 2:53Speaker 1: a bad offensive line, but he has the talent to be.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Sadiq has a talent to be. But take the top
- 2:57Speaker 1: offensive tackle, Mono Juana, I believe how you pronounce last name?
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Greg cost All talked about he's not necessarily the fastest guy.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You know, he's more big and wide, Bain has short arms, right,
- 3:11Speaker 1: Mendoza not necessarily an Andrew Luck type prospect. So even
- 3:16Speaker 1: the top ten guys this come with us. Sunny styles
- 3:19Speaker 1: guy told me, you know, he doesn't really take on
- 3:21Speaker 1: blocks because it's more of a free roamer than he is.
- 3:24Speaker 1: A guy who's like a Ray Lewis type linebacker. So
- 3:27Speaker 1: it makes the draft really kind of interesting from that standpoint.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of questions in terms of the
- 3:32Speaker 3: headliners in this class. And Adam mentioned maybe fifteen or
- 3:37Speaker 3: he said ten.
- 3:38Speaker 2: The most that I've heard.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Thirteen or fourteen, and so I think you could see
- 3:44Speaker 3: a lot of movement in this draft. There's a lot
- 3:47Speaker 3: of value at least the way that it could shape
- 3:49Speaker 3: up in the mid to late first round in terms
- 3:52Speaker 3: of offensive line depth. But aside from that, there's a
- 3:56Speaker 3: lot of questions, especially in terms of positional value.
- 4:00Speaker 1: All right, before we get started, just a couple of notes,
- 4:02Speaker 1: We're gonna have a lot of post draft coverage Thursday night,
- 4:05Speaker 1: Friday night, we'll have our podcast after both nights. Day
- 4:11Speaker 1: three Saturday, we'll feature Andrew. Of course, that's a big,
- 4:14Speaker 1: huge day. And Andrew is a Day three expert, as
- 4:16Speaker 1: you knows all the guys from all those small schools
- 4:19Speaker 1: you never heard of, so we'll get him involved as well.
- 4:22Speaker 1: But there will be lots of coverage after each round
- 4:25Speaker 1: on the inside the Birds platform. And then if you're
- 4:30Speaker 1: listening to this before the draft, as you should be,
- 4:32Speaker 1: make sure you catch all of our prospect coverage, not
- 4:36Speaker 1: only from Andrew on the Checko Daily, but Greg Cosell Preview.
- 4:39Speaker 1: We must have done ten to fifteen guys at almost
- 4:41Speaker 1: every position in the draft. So if you're curious about
- 4:45Speaker 1: a guy, especially in the top one hundred and fifty,
- 4:48Speaker 1: you want a scouting report on him, go check out
- 4:50Speaker 1: the Intel with Greg Cosel on the inside the Birds platform.
- 4:55Speaker 1: From an Eagle standpoint, even though this is a first
- 4:57Speaker 1: round mock draft, I'm just gonna go through the picks
- 5:00Speaker 1: really quickly. They're probably likely to change thirty times over
- 5:04Speaker 1: before the Eagles are dobe before Howie has done wheeling dealing.
- 5:07Speaker 1: But they have a first round pick they're own at
- 5:09Speaker 1: twenty three. We'll do tonight. They have a second round
- 5:11Speaker 1: pick at fifty four, two third round picks sixty eighth
- 5:14Speaker 1: and ninety eighth overall. The sixty eighth was actually acquired
- 5:18Speaker 1: from the Jets and the Sonoredi trade, and the ninety
- 5:20Speaker 1: eighth as a compick for losing Milton Williams. Two picks
- 5:23Speaker 1: in round four one fourteen one thirty seven overall, one
- 5:27Speaker 1: pick in round five one seventy eight overall, and one
- 5:30Speaker 1: pick in round six one ninety seven from the Falcons
- 5:35Speaker 1: about how many of those picks where they're supposed to pick.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Do you think they'll actually make under on that? Adam
- 5:41Speaker 1: this shit.
- 5:41Speaker 2: You know, it's funny as you were saying this, because
- 5:44Speaker 2: I get all these weird emails from these sports books
- 5:47Speaker 2: and then from like pr people from the sports books
- 5:50Speaker 2: and some secure sports books by the way, But anyway,
- 5:53Speaker 2: they should do it. What's the over under on Howie
- 5:56Speaker 2: Roseman trades overall? Oh? Yeah, and the seven rounds of
- 5:59Speaker 2: the draft. I'm gonna say three three.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I would take the over on that. Yeah, I would
- 6:05Speaker 1: take the over. Yeah, for sure.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm kind of right around three myself.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to go back and look at that,
- 6:13Speaker 1: because you remember in the fourth and fifth round they
- 6:15Speaker 1: trade down like five spots and a choir picks and
- 6:18Speaker 1: then they do it. I don't know, we'll say, well
- 6:20Speaker 1: twenty three.
- 6:21Speaker 2: See this is the problem at twenty three because this
- 6:24Speaker 2: is not a great blue chip draft, right unless somebody drops.
- 6:27Speaker 2: We know that, and we'll get to their pick later.
- 6:30Speaker 2: You're the smart money is an offensive line. That's fine,
- 6:33Speaker 2: But as you and I talked about on Monday morning,
- 6:37Speaker 2: you have to weigh that need for the feature versus
- 6:39Speaker 2: the quality of the players. It's not easy. This is
- 6:43Speaker 2: uh friend of mine who's an offensive line coach said,
- 6:46Speaker 2: oh no, no, I'm sorry. This is the personal guy.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And the coach agreed with this. He thought it was funny.
- 6:51Speaker 2: This is the draft with short arm of offensive lineman.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's just what it is. And it's Eagles are fashionating
- 7:00Speaker 2: and not just them that there are a bunch of
- 7:01Speaker 2: teams that need lineman. I'm curious where some of these
- 7:05Speaker 2: shorter arm guys are gonna go. Very curious.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Definitely with you. All right, let's get started. Obviously, number
- 7:11Speaker 1: one team Las Vegas. Number one picking team Las Vegas
- 7:14Speaker 1: Raiders on the clock. They bought half of a team
- 7:17Speaker 1: in free agency. They had all that money to spend
- 7:20Speaker 1: their needs. Of course, Adam quarterback, wide receiver. Now, defensive
- 7:25Speaker 1: tackle is a need. But we can just cover this
- 7:27Speaker 1: for the rest of this podcast. This might be the
- 7:30Speaker 1: weakest defensive tackle class in the in a really long time.
- 7:34Speaker 1: In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were none
- 7:36Speaker 1: taken in the first round. We'll see, but I'd be
- 7:39Speaker 1: shocked if any was taken in the top fifteen or twenty.
- 7:42Speaker 2: For sure, I mean it woulds I mean Woods could
- 7:44Speaker 2: go before the end of the first round.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Peter would But yeah, Miller, right, yeah, Like you're talking
- 7:51Speaker 1: about guys who like sort of sneak in at the
- 7:53Speaker 1: back end because.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Kate McDonald banks is the problem with him is the injury.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And yeah, you're right, it's it's there are some I
- 8:01Speaker 2: want to call depth. There's some better players later, but yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 2: you're you're right. Realistically, it might not be one in
- 8:06Speaker 2: the first round, right. Uh.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And of course we know the Raiders need a lot
- 8:09Speaker 1: of help on defense, corner and safety. So they're gonna
- 8:12Speaker 1: pick number one, and I think we're all gonna agree
- 8:14Speaker 1: they're gonna take Fernando Mendosa. Anybody object, No, no, Fernando Mendoza.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But I would tell you, I would tell you had
- 8:22Speaker 2: this been I heard this in January, is that had
- 8:26Speaker 2: this been a good quarterback draft, Mendoz who would go
- 8:29Speaker 2: in the twenties. But it's not. It's a terrible quarterback
- 8:31Speaker 2: draft on paper. Now, yes, right, two or three of
- 8:34Speaker 2: these guys will be you know what, they wind up
- 8:36Speaker 2: might wind up being a start of Garrett Nesmeyer someday.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Maybe he had the injury this past season, But on
- 8:42Speaker 2: paper is all we could talk about because we hadn't
- 8:43Speaker 2: had the draft yet, they've not played in the NFL.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Personal people and coaches we've spoken to ad nause Gona
- 8:49Speaker 2: think this is a weak quarterback group for sure.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And Fernando Mendoza gets the capitalized by being the number
- 8:56Speaker 1: one pick. There is no going to be trade, there's nothing.
- 8:59Speaker 1: He's the number one PI. That's it, all right. Number
- 9:02Speaker 1: two overall is the New York Jets. They also have
- 9:04Speaker 1: the sixteenth overall pick. They need pretty much everything, including
- 9:08Speaker 1: a competent coach and a coaching staff. So at number two,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it'll be this is an Intel pretty this is an
- 9:15Speaker 1: Intel heavy pod. It always has been. And I'll I'll
- 9:19Speaker 1: ask you guys, but almost everybody I spoke to, the
- 9:22Speaker 1: Jets are perceived to be taking r Vil Reese here
- 9:25Speaker 1: at number two. Has anybody heard anything to the contract?
- 9:27Speaker 1: It almost seems like a for.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I mean, Bley, they're so bad at edge, terrible, right.
- 9:33Speaker 2: It's Reese is so fascinating as a player because you
- 9:37Speaker 2: can line up in a variety of positions. It's either or
- 9:40Speaker 2: to me, it's it's got to be one of those two.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Well, I'll just give you an example, Adam, I was
- 9:45Speaker 1: talking to one scout from an NFC team, and I
- 9:48Speaker 1: was asking them to size up you know, all probably
- 9:50Speaker 1: we were talking about Reese, and he immediately started saying, uh, yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 1: it'll be really interesting to see how the Jets deploy him,
- 9:56Speaker 1: what they do with it was And then I talked
- 9:59Speaker 1: to another or something basically said the same thing.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 3: So, I mean, Arvel Race has the higher upside compared
- 10:06Speaker 3: to David Bally, but I think David Belli is the
- 10:08Speaker 3: best pass rusher in this class. But the Jets aren't
- 10:10Speaker 3: in position to contend for anything, so they have time
- 10:13Speaker 3: to work with them a little bit. So I think
- 10:15Speaker 3: they go through the flashier talent in r bel Reese.
- 10:18Speaker 1: All Right, we're gonna put rvl Rees here. Any objections, No?
- 10:23Speaker 1: All right, rvel Rees goes to the Jets and we'll
- 10:28Speaker 1: call them sort of edge stackbacker, whatever you want. We'll
- 10:32Speaker 1: see what the Jets do with them. That brings up
- 10:34Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals and they have a new coaching staff,
- 10:39Speaker 1: Mike laflor Is now they're head coach. They didn't have
- 10:42Speaker 1: a ton of needs. They lost so many one possession
- 10:45Speaker 1: games last year and then toward the end of the year,
- 10:48Speaker 1: the bottom really started to fall out. They no longer
- 10:50Speaker 1: have Kyler Murray. They could use a quarterback, running back, receiver,
- 10:54Speaker 1: offensive line help, edge help. I will say this, you know,
- 10:59Speaker 1: even whosing Kyler Murray, I don't know that we're going
- 11:01Speaker 1: to talk much about quarterback. Maybe for the rest of
- 11:04Speaker 1: his first round. Maybe we'll come across a Ty Sampson,
- 11:08Speaker 1: ty Simpson. But Adam, where do you think the Arizona
- 11:11Speaker 1: Cardinals are going to laser focus in? Because I think
- 11:13Speaker 1: you just mentioned the guy we all just talked about,
- 11:16Speaker 1: the guy that they probably should take.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, running back. It's interesting Connor's on the
- 11:21Speaker 2: final years deal. You nobody's injury history. They went through
- 11:25Speaker 2: so many running backs. Trey Benson, I don't. I just
- 11:28Speaker 2: he's been hurt. He just hasn't performed. As a second rounder,
- 11:30Speaker 2: Algier got a multi year contract, not a lot of them.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's just over six million. They can wait a year.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It's kind of like all their needs. It would behoove
- 11:39Speaker 2: them to add one more guy, but they can wait.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But to me, as you and I were talking the
- 11:44Speaker 2: other day, I said, they need an edge rusher. Joshwatz,
- 11:46Speaker 2: the one guy they have who could rush the passer,
- 11:49Speaker 2: who's a proven guy you could count on. Baron brown
- 11:53Speaker 2: Is on the last year of his deal, big injury history,
- 11:55Speaker 2: good player, yep. David Collins is that hybrid guy who
- 11:59Speaker 2: who was drafted by Kaime. They did extend him a
- 12:02Speaker 2: couple of years ago. That's another position which they I
- 12:06Speaker 2: take David Bailey truly simple. He's the best player on
- 12:08Speaker 2: the board by far to me, other than, of course
- 12:11Speaker 2: a running back.
- 12:12Speaker 1: If you think about it, yeah, yeah, Andrew Adam are
- 12:16Speaker 1: speaking on a recent pocket. I don't know how the
- 12:17Speaker 1: Cardinals came up, but if you think about it, I
- 12:19Speaker 1: mean they really got once he got healthy. Walter Nolan
- 12:22Speaker 1: looked like a pretty good pass rusher last year, their
- 12:24Speaker 1: first round pick. If you can combine him with Josh Sweat,
- 12:28Speaker 1: Baron Browning, maybe if you ever get something from Darius Robinson,
- 12:31Speaker 1: who they picked it out two years ago in the
- 12:33Speaker 1: first round, and then you add David Bailey to that,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you got a four man rush that I think you
- 12:37Speaker 1: can be pretty satisfied one, you know, a building block
- 12:40Speaker 1: there to grow on.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, they need help all over. As you guys outlined.
- 12:44Speaker 3: The only other player I would consider is Francis Malagoa
- 12:48Speaker 3: because they gave up fifty nine sacks last season. They
- 12:50Speaker 3: had Paris Johnson. They also have Elijah Wilkinson who came over,
- 12:54Speaker 3: but they could still use that right tackle for the
- 12:56Speaker 3: future and that's a premium position, so I mean it's tough.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Jerem My Love is my favorite player in this draft.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's really the battle. I mean, I
- 13:05Speaker 1: get the malle. I think it's pronounced malinoa even though
- 13:08Speaker 1: there's a G in it. But yes, I kind of
- 13:10Speaker 1: like that tongue to tongue of ioloa. There's a couple
- 13:13Speaker 1: of letters that are But the point you know, they
- 13:15Speaker 1: did draft uh the tackle from Ohio State a couple
- 13:18Speaker 1: of years ago. He might be better at right and
- 13:21Speaker 1: Malnoa might be better at right, so you may have
- 13:23Speaker 1: an issue there. The two best players here are Bailey
- 13:28Speaker 1: and Jeremiah Love, right, but I think that they would
- 13:31Speaker 1: go with the pass rusher, So if anybody objects, I
- 13:33Speaker 1: would go David Bailey here.
- 13:35Speaker 2: No. Look, as I was said earlier, do they need
- 13:37Speaker 2: to go for a running back. No, But the best
- 13:39Speaker 2: player pretty much overall for this draft is Jeremiah Love.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It's just they spent a second round pick on Trey Bentson.
- 13:46Speaker 2: It hasn't really worked out. He was hurt last season.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Connor's near the end of his career, a lot of injuries.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Good football player. Always revived his career with the Cardinals.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It tried his onnovant Bam Night. I mean, they've went
- 13:57Speaker 2: for a number of running backs, but they don't need
- 13:58Speaker 2: to do it. They're To me, it's I would I
- 14:01Speaker 2: would go love just because he's he could be a
- 14:03Speaker 2: foundation player for eight to ten years. But as you said,
- 14:06Speaker 2: and we'll move on, what they need now and for
- 14:09Speaker 2: the future is a big time pass rusher. David Bailey's
- 14:12Speaker 2: the best pass rusher for this draft.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I agree, I agree. They could be pretty fierce with
- 14:15Speaker 1: that pass rush. All right, Tennessee Titans up number four.
- 14:18Speaker 1: They took cam Ward last year number one. Overall. He
- 14:22Speaker 1: needs some help. You need, you need all help on
- 14:24Speaker 1: the interior offensive line. They need weapons, and of course
- 14:28Speaker 1: like every team, they need some pass rushers in front six,
- 14:31Speaker 1: front seven kind of guys. So when you look at
- 14:34Speaker 1: the Titans here and who the best players available are,
- 14:37Speaker 1: what come? What are you thinking?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Adam? So to me, they're gonna want to help their
- 14:45Speaker 2: franchise quarterback uh Burganzi. The GM made the call last year,
- 14:52Speaker 2: took cam Ward Calvin Ridley unfortunately was heard. You know,
- 14:57Speaker 2: they redid his deal. They can get out of a
- 14:59Speaker 2: pretty quick, pretty easily after the season, but they need
- 15:03Speaker 2: receiver help. It's not dire for the season. Fact they
- 15:07Speaker 2: brought Awondo Robinson playing paying Maton. He's a playmaker. Good
- 15:10Speaker 2: season last year au Manor did a good job as
- 15:13Speaker 2: a rookie, really really good. So they don't need to
- 15:16Speaker 2: do anything here. But from everything I've been I've heard
- 15:19Speaker 2: it's going to be all about helping this quarterback. And
- 15:24Speaker 2: there's not a receiver there. It's too early. Yeah, and
- 15:28Speaker 2: remember Pollard and Spears. Is part of this is you
- 15:31Speaker 2: always have to know contracts if you want to be
- 15:32Speaker 2: a good mock drafter. I'd learned this the hard way. Yes,
- 15:35Speaker 2: going back twenty five or six years or something. I
- 15:38Speaker 2: didn't know anything about contracts. Early in two thousands, I
- 15:40Speaker 2: get stuff wrong. I just didn't know how teams thought.
- 15:43Speaker 3: We all do.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Now it's got to be love. This is the great
- 15:46Speaker 2: pick that I'm literally if I'm Mike Burgonzhi, I'm saying
- 15:50Speaker 2: anyone who doesn't write his name on this card is fired.
- 15:55Speaker 3: They should run to the podium.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's exactly right, exactly exactly. I agree.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And the funny thing is if they don't take Love,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm looking at the next like few teams, and I'm like,
- 16:05Speaker 1: are the Giants gonna take Love? They need They could
- 16:07Speaker 1: use a running back commander.
- 16:09Speaker 3: The Commanders might be the next team.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I think that's where it would be.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So, but the Commanders are for the purposes of this podcast,
- 16:17Speaker 1: not gonna be able to get them. We are giving
- 16:19Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love to the Tennessee Titans and moving on to
- 16:23Speaker 1: the Giants, who have the fifth and the tenth pick overall.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And they got some horses in the front seven, even
- 16:31Speaker 1: without Dexter Lawrence, who they traded to the Cincinnati Bengals
- 16:34Speaker 1: to get the tenth overall pick. But where are you
- 16:37Speaker 1: looking at their needs the most right now, Adam.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a see. Of course, the tackle is
- 16:42Speaker 2: by far the biggest thing because they traded Dexter Lawrence,
- 16:45Speaker 2: but Darvis Alexander he turns twenty six in August. They
- 16:50Speaker 2: didn't drafted to be a starter. They were like rotational guy.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Maybe by year three, place a ton of snaps. They
- 16:57Speaker 2: just don't they As we're talking about on our Monday show,
- 17:01Speaker 2: Chauncy Golston is a decent backup, could stand them up
- 17:05Speaker 2: a little bit, but they just don't have it. But unfortunately,
- 17:07Speaker 2: there's no dtackle you're taking. As we said earlier to
- 17:10Speaker 2: start the show, in the first round. Probably now they
- 17:14Speaker 2: have the ammo to trade up if they wanted to
- 17:16Speaker 2: get They don't need an edge rusher. But if they
- 17:19Speaker 2: wanted to get love, you know, if they wanted to
- 17:21Speaker 2: shock the world. Because right now, Camp Scataboo going from
- 17:24Speaker 2: major injury. I mean, he'll be ready, but he doesn't
- 17:27Speaker 2: have jews. It's going from major injury. They expect him
- 17:29Speaker 2: to be able to work in training camp. Tyron Tracy's
- 17:32Speaker 2: on his third Y're nice, nice rotational player. But again,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and you know the head coaches yep, got a lot
- 17:40Speaker 2: of juice.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yep.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Now just think about that. But now if they if
- 17:45Speaker 2: they stay there and make a pick, it's a tough
- 17:48Speaker 2: you know what, remember they cut Okay, okay, we start
- 17:54Speaker 2: talking about one linebacker at Ohio State who's special. You got, Sonny.
- 18:01Speaker 3: He looked at John Harball's history, right, He's always had
- 18:04Speaker 3: a cornerstone middle linebacker. Whether it was Ray Lewis, C. J. Mosley,
- 18:09Speaker 3: or Patrick Queen, this just feels like it's kind of
- 18:12Speaker 3: cut and dried here. And I would say Sonny Styles,
- 18:15Speaker 3: Ohio state linebacker.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Guys, the one pushback I'll have because you mentioned Harball
- 18:22Speaker 1: and he's very he's been very clear that he needs
- 18:25Speaker 1: to beat a team to beat the Eagles in the
- 18:27Speaker 1: NFC East. You know, he said the same thing when
- 18:29Speaker 1: he was the Ravens. They knew how they had to
- 18:30Speaker 1: beat the Steelers and they had to play a certain
- 18:32Speaker 1: style of football. And their offensive line is better, but
- 18:36Speaker 1: it's not good enough.
- 18:38Speaker 2: And well he's what he was just real quick he
- 18:40Speaker 2: was asked about that. Yeah, the Prescott heard might have
- 18:44Speaker 2: been his opening. It's just because they kind of set
- 18:46Speaker 2: them up. So of course he's gonna talk just you know,
- 18:49Speaker 2: what do you gotta do to take next level? We
- 18:50Speaker 2: got to beat the Eagles. You know, you knew he
- 18:51Speaker 2: would say that he's going to beat the Commanders, you know.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he said. In a second, he went into more
- 18:57Speaker 1: detail on Howard Eskin. He was with Howard Eskins, we
- 19:00Speaker 1: have to build a team. Yeah, yeah, I know to
- 19:03Speaker 1: beat them, right, and you know, I know how good
- 19:06Speaker 1: the Ravens offensive line was while he was there. And
- 19:09Speaker 1: you know they have a right guard issue. Can you
- 19:11Speaker 1: move Germaine Illumina to right guard and put Francis Mala
- 19:15Speaker 1: at right tackle and be really happy with three of
- 19:19Speaker 1: those five linemen right there? I don't know. I'll go
- 19:22Speaker 1: with what you if you guys think it's styles. I
- 19:24Speaker 1: tend to think it's going to be Malnoa. But what
- 19:26Speaker 1: do you guys think?
- 19:27Speaker 2: Wow, that's a little earlier than I thought. But the
- 19:31Speaker 2: top really good, Yeah, really good styles.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So three of us.
- 19:40Speaker 2: So the way it works is three of us, like
- 19:41Speaker 2: where GM for each team we get to turn the
- 19:43Speaker 2: cart in. You got out voted motion.
- 19:45Speaker 1: So that's fine, that's fine. I just I want it
- 19:48Speaker 1: on record in case it happens that I said.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Great, let's look, you've you've I mean, it's just so
- 19:56Speaker 2: you know about his size thirty four and in a quarter.
- 20:00Speaker 2: The ways to explain to me is that it doesn't
- 20:02Speaker 2: matter right or left tackle in terms of arm length.
- 20:06Speaker 2: It's got to be long thirty four inches or longer.
- 20:08Speaker 2: He's only got thirty two and three quarters.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yep, but he came right. I know, he can't play left.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But that's why right, But that's but again, the left matters.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It doesn't matter whether there's right left tackle. You got
- 20:19Speaker 2: to be a right tackle. You got at least thirty four.
- 20:22Speaker 2: He's got short arms to play right tackle. I know,
- 20:25Speaker 2: I know. The Patriots didn't agree that they're like the
- 20:27Speaker 2: only team right. Very few teams agree with the Patriots
- 20:31Speaker 2: in terms of will Campbell's size. Will't accept it, which
- 20:33Speaker 2: I think was thirty two and five as which isn't
- 20:35Speaker 2: believe me short?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Wow, all right, that's fair.
- 20:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 20:39Speaker 1: We go to the Cleveland Browns the first of their
- 20:41Speaker 1: two picks. They have the six overall pick and the
- 20:43Speaker 1: twenty fourth. I could sit here and say what the
- 20:45Speaker 1: Browns need. I think everybody knows they need everything, literally everything,
- 20:50Speaker 1: but a great edge rusher because they have Miles Garrett,
- 20:52Speaker 1: although you can always use another one.
- 20:54Speaker 4: But yeah, they literally need everything. And they have two
- 20:57Speaker 4: first round picks. They don't have a quarterback.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get one at six. So what are
- 21:02Speaker 1: we looking at?
- 21:03Speaker 2: Yeah? So they the receiver left tackle, see that they
- 21:09Speaker 2: like the tight end right right, but he doesn't move
- 21:14Speaker 2: all that well. He's a numbers accumulator did a good Hey,
- 21:18Speaker 2: he did a really good job. By the way. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 2: they're not taking a tight end obviously there I'm not hitting.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But it's a need for them, There's no question about it.
- 21:26Speaker 2: They need some juice next to Fannin.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you got Todd now. By the way, we should
- 21:32Speaker 1: know you have Todd Munkin now in charge of the offense.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And there who's their defensive I forget it's not Schwartz anymore.
- 21:38Speaker 2: It's no, it's actually a very underrated coach Mike Ruthenberg
- 21:42Speaker 2: coming over from Atlanta, first time calling plays, so that
- 21:46Speaker 2: that's you know, he's going to run. You know what.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I'm not so sure how they're going to deploy. Whether
- 21:54Speaker 2: it's gonna be thirty four to forty three this one,
- 21:55Speaker 2: this team, I'm not totally sure about. But just to
- 21:57Speaker 2: finish the needs off they need an other edge. Uh uh,
- 22:02Speaker 2: they need they definitely need another edge. Garrett's obviously awesome. Yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 2: they need one more guy would would help. That's one
- 22:09Speaker 2: thing to consider, ye, And then they used to they
- 22:12Speaker 2: could get a safety. I know the locals are gonna
- 22:15Speaker 2: want a safety, you know, I get that, Uh.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Especially from Ohio State from the same area.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Actually, I'm fascinating to see where he goes. But to me,
- 22:28Speaker 2: it's the best player available We've got. Bailey's gone loved.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You wouldn't take a running back as they did one
- 22:37Speaker 2: last year. Styles is gone. They don't need a linebacker anyway.
- 22:40Speaker 2: They're great there. So what do you think, guys.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Carnel Tate. I mean, you look at their receiving corps,
- 22:46Speaker 3: Cedric Tillman, Harry Judy. The need some help there.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Tate Tate, according to one coach I spoke with, he said,
- 22:54Speaker 2: he's he likes the Arizona State receiver better. But he goes.
- 22:58Speaker 2: If you want a guy whuld go get it, he
- 23:02Speaker 2: doesn't care what takes speed is he goes. The tape
- 23:04Speaker 2: tells you that he can go get he He thinks
- 23:06Speaker 2: he's the best ball tracker. That was his opinion. He
- 23:09Speaker 2: guy's a really good coach. Yeah, and you know Jimmy Haslom.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I'm not saying he nakes picks, but he will get involved,
- 23:20Speaker 2: putting some thoughts in talking to coaches over the years
- 23:22Speaker 2: in front of the people. He likes to put thoughts
- 23:23Speaker 2: in guy's ears. He's local. Cornel Tate, just saying somewhat. Now.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Look, I think it makes sense. I mean, I think
- 23:29Speaker 1: Marinoga is a great option for a team here. But
- 23:33Speaker 1: they signed three offensive linemen in free agency, signed Zion Johnson,
- 23:36Speaker 1: Elkton Jenkins, and Titus Howard. They have Tevin Jenkins and
- 23:40Speaker 1: they we know they like Dwan Jones. Whether or not
- 23:42Speaker 1: he's really good is up for debate. But I agree,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I don't think it's an offensive lineman here. I think
- 23:47Speaker 1: they need to help the cour whatever quarterback they're going
- 23:49Speaker 1: to play, So I would go with Carnel Tate here.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say. I don't disagree. I think it's fine.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I mean he should go in the upper here for
- 23:56Speaker 2: the first round. This is a dram. Guys are just
- 24:00Speaker 2: telling you it's a lot of blue players.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I know, when you're the Browns, you just got you
- 24:05Speaker 1: got to You gotta get a safe pick. You can't
- 24:07Speaker 1: keep screwing up. You need a guy who's j might
- 24:11Speaker 1: be better, but they need a guy that they're he's.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Going to start right away. Tape Judy will play and
- 24:16Speaker 2: he could play zero, he could play inside. Some one's
- 24:19Speaker 2: been a disappointment. I'm very just he's on the funny
- 24:21Speaker 2: of his rookie deal. I thought he'd be I remember
- 24:23Speaker 2: his dad. For those of you foll the NFL played
- 24:25Speaker 2: for the Broncos, played for like Shanahan. He's unfortunately he's
- 24:28Speaker 2: been hurt. Here's the thing about their offensive line. Yes,
- 24:32Speaker 2: Zion Johnson paid a ton of money. They they extended
- 24:35Speaker 2: tednys Howard's contract. He'll be the right tackle, though he
- 24:38Speaker 2: can play left. Yeah, they need a right guard the
- 24:41Speaker 2: worst way. They need a guard.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I mean, it wouldn't shock me if they took vague
- 24:46Speaker 1: Ione here.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I mean, it's a guard. It's a tough sell. It
- 24:53Speaker 2: just is a tough sell value wise. On your point
- 24:57Speaker 2: about safe, it's a you're not gonna you're probably not
- 25:00Speaker 2: gonna miss all that one if you take them.
- 25:02Speaker 1: But no, But if I had if I had to decide, right,
- 25:04Speaker 1: if I spent all that money to buy three offensive
- 25:07Speaker 1: linemen in free agency, and I had to decide value
- 25:10Speaker 1: wise andrew between the best guard and the best wide
- 25:14Speaker 1: receiver at sixth overall, I'm probably gonna go a wide receiver.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta go wide receiver. If you take a
- 25:19Speaker 3: guard at six as good as venue is, that's a
- 25:22Speaker 3: tough sell.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Yeah, he ain't Larry Allen. I mean, you gotta be
- 25:26Speaker 1: like early, you know, unbelievable, but all right, so we're
- 25:28Speaker 1: gonna go Carnel Tate there six. That brings up the
- 25:31Speaker 1: Washington Commanders seventh. Overall, we didn't let them get Jeremiah
- 25:35Speaker 1: Love because he went to Tennessee.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Uh I listen.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I mean we can go through their needs. They need
- 25:41Speaker 1: a couple of things and need to get younger first
- 25:43Speaker 1: and foremost, so wide receiver of course, you know, center
- 25:47Speaker 1: because they.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Led be walker.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yeah, guard, they could use running back, we said edge
- 25:53Speaker 1: and cornerback. Guys. I don't know how at this point.
- 25:56Speaker 1: If this is the way the board falls, if you're
- 25:58Speaker 1: the Commanders, you don't run to the podium to get
- 26:01Speaker 1: Ruben Bain. I don't even care about the short arms.
- 26:04Speaker 1: They need an edge rusher. He's really good, as someone
- 26:07Speaker 1: put it to me, offensive tackles in college. I have
- 26:09Speaker 1: long arms too, and he was bullying them. So listen,
- 26:12Speaker 1: you know, I'll listen to you. But that would be
- 26:14Speaker 1: my pick for them. What do you think?
- 26:17Speaker 2: Interesting? Interesting? It? Here's the thing for this season. They're
- 26:22Speaker 2: fine as long as nobody gets hurt again. But it's
- 26:25Speaker 2: the problem, and it's fine with taking Bain here, he'd
- 26:28Speaker 2: going there paying for the first round, Chasing's on a
- 26:29Speaker 2: one year deal, a man who's on a one year
- 26:31Speaker 2: deal Armstrong's and why is his contracts will expire the
- 26:34Speaker 2: coming off major injury, so they don't have to do
- 26:37Speaker 2: an edge in the first round. They're good, But again,
- 26:39Speaker 2: the drafts is always about the future. All they got
- 26:42Speaker 2: a Daffiola who there paying a ton of money, who
- 26:44Speaker 2: is not exact like he's got a lot of upside. Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 2: he's got off a good season, he's not totally proven.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I know they're locked in for a while with him. Agreed, agreed. Yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 2: It's kind of like when you're the with commanders of
- 26:56Speaker 2: the way our board went, Bailey went, who would have
- 27:01Speaker 2: been a slam dunk? Love? What? What would have been
- 27:04Speaker 2: a slam dunk? Because after the season they have a
- 27:07Speaker 2: they have an issue and titin who would have been great?
- 27:11Speaker 2: So it's process of elimination edge it is. I'm with you.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I mean, you can make an argument Andrew for Delane
- 27:17Speaker 1: mansword Lane for cornerback because they need a corner and
- 27:20Speaker 1: you could probably make an argument for I don't know,
- 27:25Speaker 1: this is a little too I mean This is again
- 27:27Speaker 1: we get into like positional value. You could probably make
- 27:29Speaker 1: an argument for Downs or Kenyan City, right, but sure
- 27:33Speaker 1: you know they need to rush the passer in my opinion,
- 27:35Speaker 1: and even though they butt guys, I think they need more.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I was looking at Washington and then I was looking
- 27:42Speaker 3: at the next team, the Saints. For ruben Bain, that's
- 27:45Speaker 3: kind of where I have him pegged. Look, he gotta
- 27:48Speaker 3: trust the tape With rubyen Bain, he was dominant and
- 27:52Speaker 3: he'll figure it out. You take a pass rusher, it's
- 27:54Speaker 3: a premium position. I think that that's a that's a
- 27:57Speaker 3: good fit for them.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I add before move on, they were very happy with
- 28:02Speaker 2: Trey Amos before his injury. He played very well, so
- 28:05Speaker 2: that he's going to be starting, right. The question is
- 28:08Speaker 2: because they signed Meek robertson the good cash, Yeah, it'll
- 28:11Speaker 2: be their nickel. He's really a nickel who has been
- 28:15Speaker 2: forced to play outside with the Lions with all the
- 28:17Speaker 2: I wonder.
- 28:17Speaker 1: At him if they liked how he played outside and
- 28:20Speaker 1: want to keep him there and put Sander still because
- 28:22Speaker 1: I thought Nicol I thought better than Nickel, but.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Well, because well, okay, I was gonna that's my next point.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He did not have a good season playing on the outside.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It was sort of up and down, kind of dropped
- 28:31Speaker 2: off a little bit. Yep, it's a I like the
- 28:35Speaker 2: thought about corner boy, they'd be really loaded. It doesn't
- 28:40Speaker 2: they don't have to do that.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Mm hm.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But again, the draft is about the future. Honestly, if
- 28:46Speaker 2: they don't get Baine here boy, the edge rusher group
- 28:52Speaker 2: really drops off.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think you're you're getting
- 28:56Speaker 1: a guy to your point for who's a great play
- 28:59Speaker 1: He was great, great college player, and once you start
- 29:03Speaker 1: to get past this, you're gonna get to guys with
- 29:06Speaker 1: the more question marks, and you know you.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Want your larks, Your who's twenty five years old drops off?
- 29:13Speaker 2: Yep, right, yep, right.
- 29:15Speaker 1: So I mean I think you got to get like
- 29:17Speaker 1: the best available player at a position you're also valuing
- 29:19Speaker 1: and really could.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Use for the future. I'm there, I'm with there with you,
- 29:22Speaker 2: all right.
- 29:23Speaker 1: So that brings us to the Saints New Orleans. I
- 29:25Speaker 1: think there's just a little bit of a perfect match.
- 29:27Speaker 1: But Adam, what do the Saints need?
- 29:29Speaker 2: Well, Although than the Lave, they're really they're really light there.
- 29:32Speaker 2: They traded for Polk who was He didn't play last
- 29:35Speaker 2: season coming back from injury. Remember he was traded. Boy
- 29:38Speaker 2: Elliot Wolf gives up on on players sometimes a little early.
- 29:42Speaker 2: But Polk was was hurt and he was traded. He
- 29:45Speaker 2: was the second rounder.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he had an outstanding open practice against the Eagles.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Okay, I remember that's right. Yeah, unfortunately got hurt. So yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 2: their needs because a lot and love is coming off injury.
- 29:58Speaker 2: So receiver edge Andrew talked about safety is definitely one.
- 30:04Speaker 2: The cornerback is very interesting if you look at what
- 30:07Speaker 2: the resources that they spent in recent memory. Mckinstring, uh
- 30:14Speaker 2: you remember him, kool aid, But Matt Isaac Gadham, he's
- 30:18Speaker 2: mister journeyman. He's a quality backup. Presston a service. Yep.
- 30:22Speaker 2: They don't have a legit starting corner opposite him that
- 30:24Speaker 2: they could count on. Corner is an absolute need. There's
- 30:28Speaker 2: no doubt about it.
- 30:28Speaker 1: This is the conundrum, right Andrew, because corner is the need.
- 30:31Speaker 1: But Kenyon Sadiq is sitting there, and you know, Kellen
- 30:34Speaker 1: Moore's probably man. You know, we don't we got one good,
- 30:38Speaker 1: really good receiver. Olave Juwan Johnson's pretty good. He's okay,
- 30:42Speaker 1: he's been good, but he's nothing like what Kenyan Sadik
- 30:44Speaker 1: could give. But then you get into do they go
- 30:47Speaker 1: with the best player available at a position of value
- 30:51Speaker 1: or this would be the corner, or do you just
- 30:53Speaker 1: go with the best player available in Sadik?
- 30:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's I think it's enticing, but I
- 30:58Speaker 3: think it's too early, and then the positional value comes
- 31:00Speaker 3: into play. I would go with man.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Yeah, right in the backyard, Right in the backyard. Okay,
- 31:07Speaker 4: so LSU's mansor I was with you.
- 31:09Speaker 2: On that one, Lante Taylor, Remember he left and that
- 31:12Speaker 2: left a huge hole. Yeah, so yeah, to me, it's
- 31:17Speaker 2: a slam dunk. It really is.
- 31:19Speaker 1: All right, Now we get to the interesting part of
- 31:22Speaker 1: the draft fellas the Kansas City Chiefs picking at ninth,
- 31:26Speaker 1: who had that on their bingo card going into the
- 31:29Speaker 1: start of last season. The Chiefs also another team that
- 31:32Speaker 1: has two picks. They have the ninth pick and the
- 31:34Speaker 1: twenty ninth pick. I'd almost be shocked if they actually
- 31:36Speaker 1: stay here and pick ninth. But we'll see what do
- 31:40Speaker 1: they need?
- 31:41Speaker 2: All right? So receiver, it's just not they need to
- 31:44Speaker 2: get more out of their first round pick from a
- 31:46Speaker 2: couple of years ago. They have so many needs. A
- 31:49Speaker 2: left guard to need edge is a major need. They
- 31:55Speaker 2: haven't got anything or not very much out of and
- 31:57Speaker 2: duque Uzamo's a first rounder in twenty three. Who wow,
- 32:00Speaker 2: all of the sudden soone's funny it was rookie deal. Wow.
- 32:02Speaker 2: They're very light to tackle. Other than Chris Jones, it's
- 32:06Speaker 2: Kyrie's tongo is a nice players are really working like
- 32:09Speaker 2: guy good story of development with New England's with Arizona
- 32:12Speaker 2: that they need defensive line help. They take your pick.
- 32:16Speaker 2: They've taken a d tackle obviously, edges is a big
- 32:20Speaker 2: need for them. A corner is in need. They lost
- 32:22Speaker 2: a couple, remember Jayalen Watson left and they traded McDuffie.
- 32:26Speaker 2: It's a major need and the only reason why Kristian
- 32:28Speaker 2: Fulton's on the on the under contract. He's owed six
- 32:30Speaker 2: million full of guaranteed. He didn't play last he barely
- 32:33Speaker 2: played right and they benched them a bunch. So yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 2: and Kyrie may sign. He's he's depth and its safety
- 32:40Speaker 2: is in need. So take your pick guys.
- 32:44Speaker 3: In Yeah, safety is a big need. Jamari Connor and
- 32:48Speaker 3: I forget who their other safety is, but they have that.
- 32:51Speaker 3: They were both sort of liabilities there.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a low Gilman by the way, the guys,
- 32:57Speaker 1: yeah it's been but yeah, they can listen. This team needs,
- 33:02Speaker 1: this team needs helping a lot of spots edge crazy tackle.
- 33:06Speaker 3: But well the problem is it's too early for Keldric
- 33:09Speaker 3: falk and as we outline, there's no defensive tackle that
- 33:13Speaker 3: is going to be in that second half of the
- 33:16Speaker 3: first round. So I think you got to go offensive
- 33:18Speaker 3: line here.
- 33:20Speaker 1: That's why I think I think that they have a
- 33:23Speaker 1: potential issue with Josh Simmons, who is very talented but
- 33:28Speaker 1: was absent for personal reasons at times last year, suffered
- 33:31Speaker 1: an injury last year. You may have to play who's
- 33:34Speaker 1: the right tackle in the they got?
- 33:36Speaker 2: I mean Timms is back. I mean he's back.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm just saying I don't know if you
- 33:39Speaker 1: can trust him. I just don't know.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say this. I know there's some steam
- 33:46Speaker 2: for right tackle because of Jalen Moore. But you gotta understand, folks,
- 33:50Speaker 2: they a couple of things with the Chiefs. They invested
- 33:53Speaker 2: It was like they knew he wouldn't start last season,
- 33:56Speaker 2: so they sought him to a two year deal. This
- 33:58Speaker 2: is his year. This is this is really interesting. They
- 34:02Speaker 2: over you remember they had a nightmare two years ago
- 34:05Speaker 2: on the offensive line, so they just over signed and drafted. Well,
- 34:09Speaker 2: Jayalen Moore is making fifteen million a year. Okay, he's
- 34:12Speaker 2: making fifteen million in cash this season. He has to
- 34:15Speaker 2: start at right tackle. He just has to, Okay, al
- 34:18Speaker 2: Loohi Gomans by the way, he's getting paid eight million year.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Here'll definitely start. But you're right they can wait on it.
- 34:24Speaker 2: But they could use another safety. They also have Jade
- 34:26Speaker 2: Hicks and Connor's as Andrew mentioned, all right, they have
- 34:30Speaker 2: a lot of argument.
- 34:31Speaker 1: That's a great point. You said, you can't be a
- 34:33Speaker 1: good mock draft if you don't understand the economics. This
- 34:36Speaker 1: guy's Bilanmore's gonna pay fifteen million a year. He's got
- 34:38Speaker 1: to play. Allow me to make a case for Spencer
- 34:42Speaker 1: Fino here to play guard, and then if they do
- 34:45Speaker 1: need to do some shuffling, he can play right tackle
- 34:47Speaker 1: if they need to move more over to left tackle
- 34:50Speaker 1: because they can't count on Simmons for whatever reason. Fanah
- 34:53Speaker 1: is a terrific athlete. We know Andy reed Love's athletic
- 34:56Speaker 1: offensive lineman. This guy is short armed, but he's a
- 34:59Speaker 1: tremen this tester, and people I spoke to think he
- 35:02Speaker 1: can play right tackle very easily, even with the short arms.
- 35:05Speaker 1: But if not, he'd be a very good guard. So
- 35:08Speaker 1: Spencer Fanou or the other the field, Caleb downs whatever.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I can't imagine Andy would take a seat. I just can't.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I can't imagine them taking downs either.
- 35:21Speaker 3: But I mean, second best player in the draft arguably. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 3: sometimes you can't overthink it.
- 35:27Speaker 1: But I could even see Andy, by the way, sorry
- 35:30Speaker 1: to drupt, liking Fina more than mali Wana just because
- 35:34Speaker 1: of the now we know now we Noah, because of
- 35:39Speaker 1: the athleticism. Andy Reid loves these guys, you know.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I think I think he made a really
- 35:43Speaker 3: good sell there, and I could totally see him fitting
- 35:45Speaker 3: in on that offensive line. It fits the mold of
- 35:48Speaker 3: what Andy Reid typically looks for an offensive lineman. So yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 3: I can get on board with that little.
- 35:54Speaker 1: High for him. But I was told that he is
- 35:57Speaker 1: somebody to watch as a riser because of his athletics,
- 36:00Speaker 1: because you could play him at multiple positions.
- 36:02Speaker 2: And there's another one like he's tall you talk about correct, Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 2: Spencer fo Yeah, six five and a half three eleven,
- 36:10Speaker 2: but thirty two and eighth in charms.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's the right tackle, right guard. He's not
- 36:15Speaker 1: going to play left tackle but.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Guard.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, he would be a guard. His wingspan is
- 36:22Speaker 2: it's really odd. He he's tall, short arms, but his
- 36:25Speaker 2: wingspans eight in a quarter but his hands are nine,
- 36:28Speaker 2: which is small. Right, But he's an athlete. His his
- 36:31Speaker 2: his his workout numbers are really good. I now see
- 36:37Speaker 2: breadfeats is funny. I remember his press conference he talked
- 36:39Speaker 2: about how he sees a lot of trading. What I'm
- 36:43Speaker 2: guessing he wasn't gonna say it because you'll never say that.
- 36:46Speaker 2: He can't give out that In the information that we've
- 36:47Speaker 2: talked about. It's not a very good first round in
- 36:49Speaker 2: terms of blue chip prospects. Right, So uh when went
- 36:53Speaker 2: in down Andy and Brett got broduct the Egle system
- 36:56Speaker 2: draft offensive lineman. So yeah, it's fine, all right?
- 36:59Speaker 1: Cool, Take Spencer Fino from Utah, call him a guard tackle. Okay,
- 37:06Speaker 1: that brings up the Giants, all right? At tenth overall,
- 37:09Speaker 1: we already have the Giants taking Sunny Styles fifth overall, Man,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I feel like this is an ideal scenario for them. Yeah,
- 37:16Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like Caleb Downs a safety for Harball.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Harball loves safeties. He's had a billion good ones in
- 37:26Speaker 1: the Ravens. You guys can make a case for another
- 37:29Speaker 1: player here. He could still get mauioa here if he wants.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We talked about him at five. But man, there's there's
- 37:35Speaker 1: a lot of opportunities.
- 37:36Speaker 2: They could use one badly. Oh my god, they could
- 37:37Speaker 2: use a they could use a big table, interior levee.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Then it's like beggars can't be chooses. This is not
- 37:44Speaker 2: a very good first round in blue chip players. There
- 37:46Speaker 2: are a lot of good players that are still on
- 37:48Speaker 2: the board, just so you know, in terms of their safety, position,
- 37:53Speaker 2: cut tractional standpoint. Tyler'st he's not going anywhere. I mean
- 37:59Speaker 2: he's there. I mean, he's their own twenty seven million
- 38:03Speaker 2: over the next two seasons. He's not going anywhere, Tyler Newman.
- 38:07Speaker 2: The question that here's the question good players the second
- 38:10Speaker 2: round coroach right, do they see him as a starter, right?
- 38:13Speaker 2: Jase ko is only is really a backup?
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah. I've thought about this already because I knew they
- 38:19Speaker 1: had two pretty decent safeties. Big Nichol is something that's
- 38:22Speaker 1: sweeping across the league and Downs Downs will get on
- 38:25Speaker 1: the field.
- 38:25Speaker 2: I'm not even we all Andrew. Do you think Downs
- 38:29Speaker 2: is the best player on the board.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, I would take him, and I wouldn't think
- 38:33Speaker 3: twice about it. You take the best player available and
- 38:36Speaker 3: you figure it out. As Jeff said, Big Nickel is
- 38:41Speaker 3: you know growing trend across the league, and I think
- 38:43Speaker 3: you'll find a way to make it all work done.
- 38:46Speaker 1: And if Sunny Styles turns out to be is good
- 38:48Speaker 1: and coverage because of the athleticism, you have a great
- 38:49Speaker 1: dying package right there.
- 38:51Speaker 2: No, Yes, the other one that would be an offensive lineman.
- 38:55Speaker 2: They just agree agree. Joe Shane has struggled building offense.
- 38:59Speaker 2: It's not his fault about Andrew Thomas, who's been hurt
- 39:01Speaker 2: like crazy. Yep. In fact, Gettleman, uh did Getleman draft him?
- 39:06Speaker 2: I can't remember who. Yeah, I can't remember that he did.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I think so.
- 39:13Speaker 2: But when he's healthy, he's elite. Yeah. Alum has been
- 39:17Speaker 2: a nice story development and he could play right guard
- 39:19Speaker 2: or right tackle. But they need studs of the offensive line.
- 39:22Speaker 2: So I'm with Andrew Tither an offensive lineman or Downs.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that given Harboe's history here, even
- 39:28Speaker 1: though I also said his history offensive line. I feel
- 39:30Speaker 1: like that at that point, downs is the is your
- 39:33Speaker 1: guy all right?
- 39:35Speaker 2: Cool?
- 39:35Speaker 1: So that's good. We're gonna go downs.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Now.
- 39:37Speaker 1: We got to the Miami Dolphins at eleventh overall. They
- 39:40Speaker 1: also have the thirtieth overall pick. I mean, guys, First
- 39:45Speaker 1: of all, the Dolphins need everything starting over, right. They
- 39:50Speaker 1: got a new head coach and Jeff Hafley their defensive
- 39:53Speaker 1: coordinator is who they kept him?
- 39:55Speaker 2: Right?
- 39:55Speaker 1: It was no, no, it was.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Without looking, no, I thought it we are still Let
- 40:01Speaker 2: me see how think you? No, no, no, I'll tell you who
- 40:02Speaker 2: it is. It's They've had a lot of turnover. Yeah,
- 40:07Speaker 2: it's Sean Dugan. But I believe it's going to be
- 40:11Speaker 2: a thirty. I'm not sure, you know what. Here's the thing.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Remember Green Bay changed their system to a forty three,
- 40:19Speaker 2: which was they did a couple of years ago. Yep,
- 40:22Speaker 2: I'm not totally sure how they're going to run this defense.
- 40:25Speaker 2: They've been a thirty four in Miami for a long time.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Either way, I'm looking at their offensive line with Paul
- 40:30Speaker 1: Patrick at left tackle and Jamari Salyer right guard. I
- 40:36Speaker 1: mean the guys in your backyard. If you don't take
- 40:38Speaker 1: Francis Maly noah here, then I don't then you must have.
- 40:42Speaker 2: More quack, right, I mean help you exactly the quarterback. Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 2: the pick got it?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Well, that was a that was probably the easiest one
- 40:51Speaker 1: since the Mendoza pick.
- 40:53Speaker 2: All right, by the way, So dug in or do on?
- 40:59Speaker 2: How you say last? He came from Green Bay right, Oh,
- 41:02Speaker 2: he was there. He was there, and in Boston College
- 41:06Speaker 2: he's a halfley guy.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I'm thinking that they would run a forty three because
- 41:11Speaker 2: of that, I would think so. Now I'm guessing that
- 41:15Speaker 2: halflete is going to call the defense his kids thirty three,
- 41:17Speaker 2: but he he just turned thirty three.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Although it's funny, we've seen these young head these head
- 41:25Speaker 2: head coaches head off to young assistants to call the plays. Right,
- 41:31Speaker 2: so you never say never, but they're gonna My guess
- 41:34Speaker 2: is they're gonna run a forty three. That's their background
- 41:37Speaker 2: of these two guys.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And our guess is if malinoa is available, they run
- 41:40Speaker 1: to the podium and take starts.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, Chris Career completely bungled their offensive line.
- 41:46Speaker 2: That's the one area where he just couldnot get it right.
- 41:49Speaker 1: For me, no doubt cost Mike McDaniel's job all right.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Twelfth Dallas Cowboys the first of their two picks. They
- 41:56Speaker 1: have twelfth and twentieth. Interesting that I read a report
- 42:00Speaker 1: that Christian Parker was gonna have a lot of influence
- 42:02Speaker 1: on their draft. We'll see about that. But there's no
- 42:05Speaker 1: no surprise that they need a lot of help on defense.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Of course, they need edge rushers, they need to tackle
- 42:10Speaker 1: dt the need linebackers, they need corners, they need anything
- 42:14Speaker 1: on defense. So what are we looking at.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Here edge as Iraka is coming off the hip laborm surgery.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Yep.
- 42:24Speaker 2: It's just when you look at Dallas' situation, I mean,
- 42:27Speaker 2: their defense really better part since dan Quinn left has
- 42:31Speaker 2: been mostly non competitive.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 42:33Speaker 2: We've talked about for years. Is that the football character
- 42:36Speaker 2: with a lot of guys on their defense, that's a problem.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Christian Parker's they're going to change to a thirty four.
- 42:42Speaker 2: They've run a thirty four before, but it's been a
- 42:44Speaker 2: long time, but they're definitely running thirty four detackle. They
- 42:49Speaker 2: certainly could use some Kenny Clark is getting up there,
- 42:51Speaker 2: Gwinn Williams. They have nothing behind them. They don't need
- 42:54Speaker 2: you know, they're not doing a d tackle here, and
- 42:56Speaker 2: it wouldn't anyway because they don't need a They don't
- 42:58Speaker 2: need a starter right now. But eventually in this draft
- 43:01Speaker 2: they need to get They need to get someone linebacker
- 43:04Speaker 2: in a big, big way. They're a really weak linebacker. Overshown.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Poor guy with all the all the injuries. Corner Andrew.
- 43:10Speaker 2: You know, it's interesting, uh Ravella is coming off the
- 43:13Speaker 2: AC he's healthy. Yeah, but they have digs, the miss
- 43:18Speaker 2: on digs, extension, all the craziness with him. Mm hmm.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Corner if h I mean, not that there's a corner there,
- 43:27Speaker 2: but they need so much help Andrew and defense.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Yeah, they sure do, and that's why I'm looking at
- 43:32Speaker 3: that defense. It probably is a little too early for
- 43:35Speaker 3: Keldrick Falk. That might be a good solution given the circumstances.
- 43:39Speaker 3: But how about Dylan Thinemann from this the safety from Oregon.
- 43:43Speaker 3: You got to tighten up that back end. And this
- 43:46Speaker 3: is sort of an odd draft. I know this isn't
- 43:48Speaker 3: traditionally where you would take a safety another one, but
- 43:51Speaker 3: it would make almost too much sense to give Christian
- 43:54Speaker 3: Parker that that read blanket ship like traffic cop back
- 43:58Speaker 3: there to kind of stabilize that.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and Jeff and I were talking about this the
- 44:02Speaker 2: other day with Dallas. Is that McCoy from a just
- 44:05Speaker 2: a talent standpoint, is the best player on the board.
- 44:07Speaker 2: The problem is he's coming off the AC injury and
- 44:10Speaker 2: I know that he'd ran and he's he's he's recovered.
- 44:13Speaker 2: But man, with bravel, drafting two a c ol guys
- 44:15Speaker 2: a corner, you can't. I was really high.
- 44:19Speaker 1: That's the happening.
- 44:22Speaker 2: You can't.
- 44:23Speaker 1: You can't draft McCall. You can't draft another corner coming
- 44:25Speaker 1: off in a c L.
- 44:26Speaker 2: You can't do it. So where we going?
- 44:28Speaker 1: They need immediate help. See here's the thing. This is
- 44:30Speaker 1: why I really think Dallas is right for a trade
- 44:32Speaker 1: up to your point, Andrew, because.
- 44:33Speaker 2: We're not doing trades good No, no, I know, I'm just.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Saying, just they have two first realistically, Yeah, yeah, is
- 44:41Speaker 1: is is perfect for them? Twelve might be able to
- 44:44Speaker 1: high value wise, are you're going to allow better players,
- 44:47Speaker 1: whether it's messad or the edge, or whether it is
- 44:51Speaker 1: can the tight end to just go by? It's because
- 44:54Speaker 1: you need a safety. And that's where we get into
- 44:57Speaker 1: the positional value versus best player.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Again, it's getting tough with value because the fine men.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Remember they're paying Jalen thompsonid a lot of Moneylen eleven
- 45:07Speaker 2: million a season. Yeah yeah, Malie Cooker now Malie Cookers
- 45:10Speaker 2: on the Faivers deal. Jerry Jones at eighty five years old,
- 45:13Speaker 2: whatever he is, I just don't think being patient. They're
- 45:17Speaker 2: they have been so bad at line back. You know,
- 45:19Speaker 2: he's he's obsessed with stopping the run. Remember, like literally
- 45:22Speaker 2: I think he he literally's like got stop the run
- 45:25Speaker 2: over like his bad posts.
- 45:28Speaker 3: That would be Keldric Falk.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Then if that's really though, Yeah, the power power intrusher,
- 45:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:36Speaker 5: Well, he's a bigger guy Falk, right, Yeah, six seventy
- 45:42Speaker 5: six power, a little.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Bit more of a four to three edge. I mean
- 45:45Speaker 1: they're gonna run.
- 45:46Speaker 2: He would be a left defensive end and they're gonna change.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Now you could play him as a seven technique, but.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I just think wouldn't maybe like a cash as
- 45:54Speaker 1: Howl or even a messagor be a little bit more
- 45:57Speaker 1: way away for them.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I know, I know that this is what we're working with,
- 46:01Speaker 3: but that would be.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Well then I mean listen for the purposes of this
- 46:07Speaker 1: at twelve, I don't think Kenyan Sadik's gonna get much
- 46:09Speaker 1: further down the street.
- 46:10Speaker 2: You're not taking they remember they extended Jake Ferguson.
- 46:12Speaker 1: They extend Ferguson. Yeah, this is why there's no way
- 46:15Speaker 1: the Cowboys are going to be picking a twelve.
- 46:17Speaker 2: There was a tough spot. No, this is folks. As
- 46:19Speaker 2: you see the three of us go through this. What
- 46:23Speaker 2: we've done this show for four or five years. When
- 46:25Speaker 2: if we ever had a problem like finding a guy
- 46:28Speaker 2: like that's.
- 46:29Speaker 3: We're twelve overall here and this is our seventh year
- 46:33Speaker 3: doing it. I can't I can't remember a year we
- 46:35Speaker 3: had this much.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Let's give him an edge rusher then if we're gonna
- 46:40Speaker 1: do it, I think it's I do also agree it's early,
- 46:42Speaker 1: too early for a falk, but sometimes you just got
- 46:44Speaker 1: to go with the best. And he's one of them
- 46:48Speaker 1: or the enem in which one, Adam, which one do
- 46:50Speaker 1: you think.
- 46:52Speaker 2: More? But he's going in the first round. I do
- 46:54Speaker 2: think it's a little early. I believe it'll go in
- 46:56Speaker 2: the twenties. Here's the thing, though, he's going to start
- 47:01Speaker 2: for eight to ten years from they need to start
- 47:02Speaker 2: getting some stuff right with. He's super athlete, high character.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Talking about about this kid like that's another thing they need, guys,
- 47:11Speaker 2: they need to get better character players. Yeah, there's a
- 47:14Speaker 2: reason why they don't win.
- 47:16Speaker 1: You're right, hey, listen, I'll write it down here. If
- 47:18Speaker 1: we think Dylan is the best fit for them, what.
- 47:20Speaker 2: To do is to me, Look, he's the best player.
- 47:24Speaker 2: He's certainly one of the best players. Yep, you're not
- 47:27Speaker 2: taking a d tackles too early. I know it's a need,
- 47:29Speaker 2: but that's for the future corner.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I consider it like good analysis. If the Cowboys
- 47:36Speaker 1: wind up trading down from twelve to y yeah, then
- 47:40Speaker 1: we hit it on the head. They just took him
- 47:42Speaker 1: a few few.
- 47:44Speaker 2: I can't see McCoy because of another ACL guy, Terrell.
- 47:48Speaker 2: It's too a little early for me. Yeah, agree, he
- 47:52Speaker 2: says the second round er Delane, I don't see him
- 47:55Speaker 2: making it there. Now. If Flane's there, that's the pick
- 47:57Speaker 2: I don't see.
- 47:59Speaker 1: All right, we go to the Rams, Yeah, we go
- 48:03Speaker 1: further Cowboys. We go to the Rams at thirteenth overall. Uh,
- 48:08Speaker 1: they got this pick amazingly. The Rams, who are the
- 48:11Speaker 1: NFC Championship finalists, right, runners up get the pick from
- 48:15Speaker 1: the Falcons from the year before. And what they really
- 48:18Speaker 1: need is a quarterback for the future, and they could
- 48:21Speaker 1: use a right there, they're not. I can't imagine they're
- 48:26Speaker 1: gonna take.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Just too much wide receiver, right. I mean you look
- 48:33Speaker 3: at the situation with Pokakua and then you have Davante Adams,
- 48:36Speaker 3: who's aging, right, I mean, you have a receiver in
- 48:39Speaker 3: southern California by the name of Makai Lemon that that
- 48:42Speaker 3: would make a lot of sense.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Here, and he can play the slot. He actually probably
- 48:46Speaker 1: specializes in the slot, which is perfect because you have
- 48:49Speaker 1: Nikoua and you have Avante DeVante Adams who can play outside.
- 48:53Speaker 1: What about Sadik here? I know they have three million
- 48:56Speaker 1: they spent.
- 48:57Speaker 2: They spent a second round of tight end last year.
- 48:59Speaker 1: In no way Ferguson, you know he likes to play
- 49:03Speaker 1: tight ends. It's a good value.
- 49:04Speaker 2: But still there and Kolbe Parkinson was yeah with the
- 49:08Speaker 2: hero in the playoffs receiver maybe, But here's the thing.
- 49:14Speaker 2: As contracts up, Dadson's contract is up. Warm they need
- 49:19Speaker 2: a right tackle. There's gotta be there's there. There's some
- 49:22Speaker 2: offensive linemen to consider. Here me get Monroe freeling.
- 49:26Speaker 1: You probably here, maybe Blake Miller, although you know, if
- 49:31Speaker 1: you're listening to a couple of the analysts, do we
- 49:33Speaker 1: talk about I yet. No, we have not mentioned vague Ione.
- 49:37Speaker 1: That's that would be a pretty good pick for them.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, that would actually be a perfect pick
- 49:42Speaker 1: for how much they love to run up the middle
- 49:44Speaker 1: and run that duo and smash mouth football with Williams
- 49:47Speaker 1: and and uh Corum Andrew. You had me until I
- 49:53Speaker 1: remember that Ione was still on the board.
- 49:56Speaker 3: I wanted to go wide receiver. But yeah, I mean
- 49:58Speaker 3: you gotta go value. I mean, Monroe free Thing's a
- 50:01Speaker 3: player who's gonna probably go a little bit higher than
- 50:04Speaker 3: than what's projected. I'll go Vega Ione here.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Dominicque player don't seem fit. I mean, they they're big,
- 50:11Speaker 1: been running up the middle for the last two years now,
- 50:14Speaker 1: and he is a maller. So yeah, I'm with it, Adam,
- 50:17Speaker 1: you're good with that.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the I mean, the best part on the board. Now.
- 50:21Speaker 2: They will tell you if that. They've had some really
- 50:23Speaker 2: good luck with Alaric Jackson, an unrested free agent. It's
- 50:27Speaker 2: a big contract. Uh, They've Kevin Dotson trade who came
- 50:32Speaker 2: out of nowhere to play great football. But Rob Havnstein retired.
- 50:37Speaker 2: They need a right tackle. A corner prior to this
- 50:42Speaker 2: year was a major need, but they they spent big
- 50:45Speaker 2: money on McDuffie and Jalen Watson. They don't need a safety. Yep,
- 50:49Speaker 2: they've they've brown bagged it mostly at linebacker. It means cheap.
- 50:55Speaker 2: I got that years ago from a coach. He goes,
- 50:57Speaker 2: we're gonna brown bag it. What the hell is that?
- 50:58Speaker 2: Meaning goes cheap? I'm like, oh, okay, yeah.
- 51:00Speaker 1: We used to talk about then that he was doing
- 51:02Speaker 1: that an inside linebacker.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and they've got fits can put a Ford
- 51:06Speaker 2: the pan, a big now and Kobe Turner. Yeah, let's
- 51:09Speaker 2: go with ione.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Okay, we are up to fourteenth overall, the Baltimore or evens.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I don't know that much is gonna change without John Harborn.
- 51:16Speaker 1: As far as their team building philosophy, Uh, they're a
- 51:19Speaker 1: team that I think is going to look to fortify
- 51:20Speaker 1: the lines always, Adam and they'll have a chance here.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Yeah. They like the Eagles. They've been committed to their
- 51:28Speaker 2: offensive defensive lines for decades, so their needs are well.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Remember they lost Linderbaum center guard, receiver, could use another
- 51:40Speaker 2: inside backer. Buchanan came off the injury. It was a
- 51:43Speaker 2: really good discovery for them unless you're draft, so they
- 51:47Speaker 2: could use that. I mean, there's other death issues, but
- 51:52Speaker 2: in terms of starter, it's really the offensive lines where
- 51:54Speaker 2: I would go here.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, Andrew.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I would. I would consider Monroe Freeling here.
- 52:02Speaker 1: That's the name that I was thinking of. You know,
- 52:04Speaker 1: I know they need ed rushers, but they obviously got
- 52:06Speaker 1: Trey Hendrickson, so it's either to me an edge rusher
- 52:10Speaker 1: or an offensive lineman. Now, the thing is because Freeling,
- 52:13Speaker 1: because they have Roger Rosegarden to right tackle, and they
- 52:16Speaker 1: got Ronnie Stanley at left tackle. So Rose of Garden
- 52:20Speaker 1: was a second round pick.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just not sure.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I know he can play guard. Some people felt Rose
- 52:26Speaker 1: Garden could play guard coming out.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Of play guard. Yeah, go ahead, Yeah. Well, Ronnie Stanley's
- 52:33Speaker 2: being well, he's revived his career, he's got a ton
- 52:37Speaker 2: of cash coming. He's got a wow, thirty eight million
- 52:40Speaker 2: through this season and next season, so he's not going
- 52:43Speaker 2: anywhere for now. And then the question on your point
- 52:46Speaker 2: is it could Rose and Garden play inside? Yeah? I
- 52:48Speaker 2: remember you when I talked about that last year.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So to me, it would either be that
- 52:53Speaker 1: and they have to move a player, or they go
- 52:55Speaker 1: with an edge rusher, which would be probably Messager at
- 52:58Speaker 1: this point, or if or Keldrick fall.
- 53:00Speaker 3: What about what about Sadiq? What what's Mark Andrews contract
- 53:04Speaker 3: at him?
- 53:04Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, getting.
- 53:09Speaker 3: A little bit older. Yeah, then Diane would have been
- 53:12Speaker 3: a great pick.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Here totally would have been a great pick. Absolutely, But
- 53:17Speaker 1: I would tend to I would lean toward probably either
- 53:21Speaker 1: Messador or Fulk because I think they need another pass
- 53:24Speaker 1: rusher and Hendrickson is not a spring chicken, and I'm
- 53:27Speaker 1: not quite sure where Freeling would play right away.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say messidor for now, because you've got
- 53:38Speaker 2: other than Hendrickson and he's had such a big injury history. Now,
- 53:41Speaker 2: Mike Green did a good job in his playing time
- 53:43Speaker 2: last year, did a nice job. But there's nothing wrong
- 53:46Speaker 2: with getting a great rotation going. I would go Messador here.
- 53:50Speaker 1: All right. No any argument for a wide receiver Makay
- 53:54Speaker 1: Lemon or anything, or.
- 53:56Speaker 3: I mean they could use some out there as well.
- 53:59Speaker 2: They got Trey Flower, yes, and here Bateman boy, he
- 54:02Speaker 2: said so many injuries.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I mean you could really make an argument that Jordan
- 54:06Speaker 1: Tyson or Mackay Lemon are better prospects than.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I would consider Jordan Jordan Tyson here.
- 54:15Speaker 2: The only thing is they did extend Bateman last year.
- 54:18Speaker 2: They extended his contract.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Just a year though, right, it wasn't a longer one, right,
- 54:22Speaker 1: but it was.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Actually they extended by three years. He's actually signed through
- 54:26Speaker 2: twenty twenty nine. No, a lot he is. But they're
- 54:31Speaker 2: going to be a run first team. Yeah, defensive head coach,
- 54:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I would knock o receiver here, that
- 54:37Speaker 2: would be my part. I would not go receiver.
- 54:39Speaker 1: All right, then we'll stick with Messador, the edge rusher.
- 54:43Speaker 4: Messador. I mean they could literally think any spot there.
- 54:46Speaker 4: But if there's the Ravens, they are going to be
- 54:48Speaker 4: the Ravens and take an edge rusher. Okay, that brings
- 54:51Speaker 4: us to Tampa Bay. Uh, good spot here for Kenyan Sadik.
- 54:56Speaker 4: I mean, I know they have Kate Atton, but this
- 55:00Speaker 4: is a weapon. They need a lot of things though.
- 55:02Speaker 4: They need an edge rusher. They need offensive line.
- 55:04Speaker 3: Help corn, they need a corner.
- 55:06Speaker 1: They need a corner.
- 55:07Speaker 2: He's another corner that the boy, but the bigger.
- 55:10Speaker 1: I don't think Bulls has the job security to take
- 55:12Speaker 1: a corner coming off in a c L right now though,
- 55:14Speaker 1: So I hear you.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not his call. It's Jason Light's call.
- 55:19Speaker 1: That's a good point. It's a fairy.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Receiver here to replace Evans. You know, they they and
- 55:26Speaker 2: you got this could be it for Chris Godwin with
- 55:28Speaker 2: his injury history.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Well yeah, then you'd want Jordan Tyson. I would think
- 55:32Speaker 1: you want to make a guy you can play, move
- 55:34Speaker 1: around a little outside.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Uh, you just have to live with the injuries. Yeah,
- 55:39Speaker 2: I mean Jason's got Jason's pretty good drafter. So a
- 55:43Speaker 2: BOOKA was did well for a while, then he kind
- 55:45Speaker 2: of tailed off. Jay McMillan came out of nowhere after
- 55:47Speaker 2: he came back from the neck injury and did really well. Yeah,
- 55:51Speaker 2: I don't know if he's a starter. Uh yeah, I'm
- 55:55Speaker 2: with you, guys. I don't Fulk's He's got a great size, but.
- 56:00Speaker 3: No production at a very limited production.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:05Speaker 1: I do come away with my uh my conversation with
- 56:08Speaker 1: personnel people thinking Fulk was not gonna go like top fifteen.
- 56:11Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't see it either. Late I thought
- 56:13Speaker 2: late first anyway, Yeah, to me, it's Tate and she's
- 56:18Speaker 2: not Tate Tyson, Tyson, Jordan Tyson or Freeling. Well here
- 56:26Speaker 2: again they they have they're worst is at all superstar obviously,
- 56:34Speaker 2: and then Goodecki is the right tackle. Yep, is there
- 56:38Speaker 2: a I mean remember they moved Barton inside the center. Yeah,
- 56:43Speaker 2: walk with heart last season. Now he's on the funny
- 56:45Speaker 2: year of his deal. It's not like Jason give up
- 56:48Speaker 2: on his draft picks. I know he had a he
- 56:50Speaker 2: had a bad injury.
- 56:51Speaker 1: But yeah, I just I just think at this point
- 56:53Speaker 1: of fifteen, I don't see Jordan Tyson getting too much.
- 56:56Speaker 1: I mean, he's a top. It's between him and Tate
- 56:59Speaker 1: and we Aready had take gun.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Yea, Yeah, he's got to come off. What's that He's
- 57:06Speaker 3: got to come off the board here.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he'll be guys, he'll be their long term X player,
- 57:11Speaker 2: filling the taking them for Mike Kevin.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Yep, all right, Jordan Tyson done off the board.
- 57:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 57:16Speaker 1: We come to the Jets at sixteen. We already mocked
- 57:20Speaker 1: them Arville Reese at second overall, we went through their needs.
- 57:24Speaker 1: They need pretty much everything. Uh, this is an interesting spot.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Interesting spot. They are the Jets, so they do do things,
- 57:32Speaker 1: some unconventional things, and there's this brilliant tight end out there.
- 57:35Speaker 1: But I don't know if that ain't happen.
- 57:37Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 57:39Speaker 1: It's not just trying to find a place for this
- 57:42Speaker 1: guy to go.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Adam. They get a quarterback to throw through our guy, Taylor,
- 57:46Speaker 2: Mason Taylor.
- 57:46Speaker 1: You know, yeah, right, they take Mason Taylor last year.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I'm not doing Jordan. I'm not. I mean, I'm not
- 57:52Speaker 2: taking Tysimpson here, no way, No, Well, you love a
- 57:57Speaker 2: receiver with size, Tyson's gone. I let Mackay Lemon has
- 58:02Speaker 2: got to be a discussion here. I agree, I agree.
- 58:06Speaker 3: I like him a lot.
- 58:08Speaker 1: I actually think with what we're looking at, he's probably
- 58:11Speaker 1: the best player available in somebody they absolutely need.
- 58:14Speaker 2: And again, we're not doing trades here. Obviously it's gonna
- 58:16Speaker 2: look a lot different. We're just trying to give you
- 58:19Speaker 2: how personal people look at it. And this is to
- 58:21Speaker 2: me their needs, uh, coming into the draft for quarterback, receiver, edge, corner,
- 58:29Speaker 2: and linebacker, those are the chief needs of many. I
- 58:33Speaker 2: think Lemon's a fine picker. Yeah, corner would be nice,
- 58:38Speaker 2: but because they trade Gardner, but there's just not a corner.
- 58:41Speaker 1: To take here, all right, So Makay Lemon and his
- 58:43Speaker 1: wide receiver us see that brings us to.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Steve Well real quick. Although, although because they're on a
- 58:50Speaker 2: turnaround program where they're rebuilding, totally rebuilding. I mean, could
- 58:55Speaker 2: they take the corner from Tennessee is coming off to
- 58:58Speaker 2: the A. C. L. McCoy, Yeah, could they take them?
- 59:02Speaker 2: This is where especially?
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah. No, that's a good point because it's not Aaron
- 59:06Speaker 1: Glenn making the pick, so it's not his job security.
- 59:08Speaker 1: It's it's Darren Moue. But you know his the owner
- 59:12Speaker 1: is impatient too. He gotta start winning. So I don't
- 59:15Speaker 1: know if the GM is going to feel like he
- 59:17Speaker 1: can risk his own security on a guy who's a
- 59:19Speaker 1: couple of years down there. Yeah, Makay Lemon makes sense.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Let's go to the Lions at seventeen. I mean, look
- 59:26Speaker 1: for all the offensive line changes that they've underwent, you know,
- 59:29Speaker 1: Frank Glasgow retiring and not Frank Frank gragnow retiring and
- 59:34Speaker 1: just not being the same upfront. There's talk about them
- 59:37Speaker 1: moving Penny Stool to left tackle.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yea.
- 59:39Speaker 1: You know, how do you not take the minue freeling
- 59:41Speaker 1: here if you're trying to Yeah, corner is.
- 59:44Speaker 2: A problem for them. Edge is still a problem. But
- 59:47Speaker 2: Freeling to me, and remember, yeah they cut Taylor Decker.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Remember they could agree on anything. He's gone. So yeah,
- 59:55Speaker 2: their line all of a sudden was one of the
- 59:57Speaker 2: two or three best they got. Questions, I like the
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: this one? I do?
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Yeah, perfect fit all right? Mine Frieling to the Lions.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: That brings up the Vikings. Man are they a wild
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: card at eighteenth? Overall? What do you guys think? Can
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I introduce Sidik here? I know they got Hawkinson, but
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: he's eighties old.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Last Yearneman would have been a nice pick here. Yeah.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Yeah, interesting you said that, Andrew, because I had an
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: NFL personnel person tell me that people who have been
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: scouting him hard have comped him to Harrison Smith. So interesting, Yes, interesting, I.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Can see it. I can say it.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: In the skill set definitely right, because you.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Could do a little bit of everything. I mean they
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: got they got justin Jefferson. They do have weapons in
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Jefferson and Addison. So it's not like sid is a need,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: but it's a future.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Well again, Hockinson olivers the y tot end the highest
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: paid why Ton in the NFL. Hackinson's deal. The Remember
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: the the former GM was the one who's responsible for him.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: He's no longer there. Robertsinski, their contract guy's gonna handle
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: the draft, but listen to everyone. He's a good listener,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: yep Rick Protege. Yeah, so if you look at their
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: needs right now running back for the future after the season,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: they'll have a starter. They don't vent their top two
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: guys are not under contract, you tackle, they had three
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: guys are all gone Edge if they trade Grenard, Safety
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: and corner, so you know, there's plenty, you know.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I feel like Edge becomes a big, big factor for
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: them here too. Excuse me, Yeah, especially if they're gonna
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: trade Grenard. Could be a spot for Casius Howell Falk
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: maybe I don't know if Avian Terrell here at corner.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Maybe uh or your mom McCoy, right, he didn't come
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: off the board yet, maybe McCoy.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I mean, here's the thing, though, Adam, what kind of
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: security does their GM have. He's just taking over you
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: They don't have a GM, that's my point.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Rob's taking over and he's got some help, but
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: they're going to hire a GAM after the draft. The
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: thing to me, this pick based on what we're saying
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: is based on are they training Grenard or not. If
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: they're training them, they're going to be looking to add
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: an edge. Now, Isaiah Rogers did a fine job. He's
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: a nice number two corner. M h. And Byron Murphy
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: has been a nice story. He's like kind of like
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: you could play with Nickel play outside. They need a
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: number one corner. Yeah, and taking this kid from Tennessee
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: to me, you don't need him to play right away.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: But now, by the way, it's not like he won't
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: be able to play. He'll be ready because he's been running.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: He ran.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: I take McCoy here, I'm.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: With you, the guy. Yeah, best on the board.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I agree, And you're really in a top ten twelve
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: talent at eighteen.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: So yeah, all right, Jamal McCoy corner corner from Tennessee.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Remember, folks, it's never about just what you have. Bill
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: Pollyan must have told me twenty times for the time
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I work with him at ESPN. You never cass up
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: an upgrade. And the running joke was you can never
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: get a better quarterback than Peyton Manning. So he never
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: had an upgrade. Quarterbacks. Yeah, I love his picture. It's
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: a good.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Value all right, we go to the Carolina Panthers at
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: nineteen got a lot of studs on defense, now.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I know, but you know what, they don't have a
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: starting tight end.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: That's where I had Sadiq sort of pegged. And they
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: have Tommy Treble, they have Jatavian Sanders. They need they need,
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: they need to give Bryce Young some more help and
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: try to maximize that that rookie.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Boom Carolina Panthers. It's done and uh wow.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: All of a sudden, best player on the board.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Bryce Young can get his act together. That's a pretty
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: good team that the Panthers got there.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: He has to be more consistent, but yeah, Morgan made
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: it pretty clear. Not only will they pick up the
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: fifth drafter, they went him around a long time.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see. I like it kind of year he has.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: You know, you know, it's funny folks for Eagle fans here.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Just think of it this way, so you want to
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: know where he might go. Notice we didn't mention ted
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: end very much before this pick.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Right right, just yeah, it's just one of those Miami
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the teams have good tight ends already.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Miami needs one, but it might be a little
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: bit too early for them.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean the chief said nine our potential for him.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well yeah, that's where you get start the conversation.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: That's very bold. But it's a major need for the future.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: So all right, folks at twenty again.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: All right, so we gave the cal Pokes, uh, Dylan
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: in the safety from Oregon. They still need help on defense.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Where are they going now?
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: They still need a need rusher, still.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Rusher, still need linebacker, corner.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: How about the linebacker from Georgia here, Yeah, might be
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: a good a good fit there, I would say, Alan
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: Or to me, it's a little bit early for Jacob Rodriguez.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I like c J. Allen. I like it, man,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: all right, c J.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Allen, linebacker from Georgia. It's just some things make too
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: much sense and that's why it probably won't happen. But anyway,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: we go to averge twenty one, Pittsburgh Steelers, who I
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: don't know that they have a quarterback right now?
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: The Tye Simpson this early, it's just you don't see it.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: They cannot miss. Uh. Left tackle Brash Jones has been
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: so inconsistent at left tackle. He's had injuries. Yeah, Broderick, sorry,
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Brodrick Jones. It's had injuries, yep. Isaac Salmalo is gone,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: so they could use a potential of left tackle Broughdi
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Jones contracts up after the season anyway, yep. And IF's
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: gonna be Studs Fraser they absolutely love. They think he's
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: one of the best centers in the league already. Yeah. Yeah, uh,
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: you know, Joey Porter has been inconsistent. Just want to
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: throw that out there, inconsistent. Corner would be maybe surprised
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: as some other people not to me if they took
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: a corner. I know Ramsey's played. You can play nickel,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: you play safety, you can play corner.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's up there in age too, you know, right.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Yeah, offensive line would not surprise me at all.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Maybe a Kayden Proctor.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: M The thing is, I think it is God. This
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: is around where the discussion starts, no question, m hm.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: I don't get the fielder's super high on him. I
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: could be wrong.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: How about Omar Cooper Junior?
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: So that's what I was going to bring up. They
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: have these wide receivers who are of the same kind
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: of ILK right in Michael Pittman, and they've got who's
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: the other guy, dk mehas.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I don't see it, not this earily.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I don't know that this is that early for Cooper.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: What are we twenty No, But again, he's first of all,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: you have to play a bleeplout of twelve personnel excuse me,
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: eleven personal to even justify it, right, And everything I've
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: heard or been led to believe that they want to
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: give Roman Wilson a chance to be the three.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Forgot about him.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good Yeah, who was buried by the
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: former coaching staff. That was a mistake. He's a good player.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be Caden.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: They need offensive line.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Yeah they do. He's got a weight issue that that's
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: a concern.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I see like we're they they're I mean, I
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: know Braderick Jones has been injured, but he's there. He's young,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: he's one of their cornerstone guys. They drown and.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: They lost, and he could he could kick inside and
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: play guard.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: And Feltanu, you're right, Feltana's out. He said, could kick
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: inside and play guard.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Troy felt.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he could kick in side and play guard. That's good.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: But I got one, Okay, I got one for now.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: And this I'm just throwing it out there because I
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: do believe there's a chance that this guy could go
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: in the twenties. I not core. I know he's a project.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: He hasn't played football for very long, played basketball and soccer,
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: you know, growing up. But this kid has got so
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: much talent, so much upside, you know, Blake.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: Miller, I don't know that he does. What's that I
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: don't know that goes before I I know.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I'm just sure that they're totally I don't know from
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: what I've heard. I fine, grape. I just wonder how
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: high they are on him. But he's arguably the best
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: player on the board. You know what.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I have a feeling that they could they could like
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: a Blake Miller. I think because you know, Blake Miller
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is a guy who is hair on fire, tries his hardest.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: You know, he's got that Steeler mentality. You know, he's
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: gonna have a couple of bad gonna have a couple
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: of bad pass pro reps. That's that's fine, because they're
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: gonna run the ball anyway, and they're gonna think two
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: or three years down the road. They got a mean, nasty,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: played to the whistle kind of guy. I think this
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: might be the right area for Blake Miller.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: Yeah, fifty four starts at Clemson. He's a polished product,
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: doesn't have maybe the upside of some of the other
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: players we just mentioned, but yeah, I could, I could
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: see the fit there.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Right, I mean, honestly, it's it's to me, it's got
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: to be either Miller mm hmm or Proctor. Proctor is
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: a better football player.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: But it's just I feel like they would go with
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Miller knowing they're just.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Worry I would worry about his weight because I've heard
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: a lot of teams and I just knowing the way
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: that they think they can't miss it because Joe, I
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: mean he Jones has been so inconsistent.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I think just knowing their philosophy, knowing some people
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: in the organization like you do, Addam Miller, to me,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: is more of their identity.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Okay, cool done, Blake Miller, Blake.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Miller ot from Clemson. Yea Clemson.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Yeah here Brey Cosell review of him. Very interesting, all right.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Number twenty two They Los Angeles Chargers and they have
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: a new offensive coordinator now.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Right, Daniel. But that's interesting their issue they I cannot
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: believe how much they like Johnson, the receiver who they
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: didn't draft. Yeah, it was a holdover. Quinn Johnston actually
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: did a good job last season, and you know Mconkie's
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: a stud. Trey Harris is the second rounder last year.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: So I'm gonna take the GM. Who is who? Who
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: believe or not? Joe Joe were teased he actually grew
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: up in Alnie p a Alnie in Yes, rightly, I
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: remember beating Joey. I was like blown away when I
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: met him, Like, what onie? Really?
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: Uh huh?
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Kid? So the way I see their needs based on
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: everything I've heard, it would be edge because remember macas
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: still playing, but he's on a one year deal.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: You tackle inside back or they got a bunch of
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: guys up corners. Not they've got away with patchwork yep.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: And remember Beckton is gone and Penning is on a
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: one year deal. They gave a little cash to call
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Stranger could play center of guard, but to guard also
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: has got to be consideration.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, because they lost Zion Johnson. As we mentioned too,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I think the Browns was it who signed Johnson.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't even think about this. They don't even
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: pick up a fifth year option, and the Browns pay
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: him out to bleep crazy.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I would consider Aden Proctor here.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: They need one tackle done done.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Wait a minute, hold on, hold on, they have Slutter,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: they have Rashawn Slater and they have MC.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: I'm just joking. I'm just joking.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I was thinking more edge guy here because
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: they don't have uh they have, didn't they They've got
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: tweet Pelow too, right, it was pretty good. But he's
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: like a good number.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: But Mac is Mac is thirty four?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Max on his last legs here. Yeah, I almost
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: think this is Aldric Flock territory here.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Well, yeah, that's yeah, It's just a nature that.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Would be rich for me. I'm with Andrew cash Rusher, I.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: Know, but you know, Harball likes these big guys man
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: like you know, I just don't.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I don't think offensive lines unless his.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Brother might, but I don't know if this one does.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, is there any other I mean, corner safety?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I just don't think is going to be the pick?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Where are we But here's the question, where are we at?
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: With Cashier's Hell number one?
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I like Hell and I've been told he's a guy
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: who they could see in the bottom half of the
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: first round, and some people like him more than Falk.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: But the only thing is he's Cashier's hell is more
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: five to two outside linebacker? Yeah, walk is four to
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: three d M. What are they playing defensively?
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: They got thirty four? Well they're still no, no, no,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: they used to. This is crazy.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I don't know if the Western Michigan guy they brought it,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: he's still three four, right, he's a mentor disciple.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's wait a minute. It's
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: Chris O'Leary is the guy.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Yeah, didn't he come from Yeah?
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, you're right, you're right, you're right. They're gonna
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: keep the thirty four they have.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: To, right, I would go cash as howl here. I
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: really think that that's more.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I hear you. It already would have been
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: a stretch to go late in the first round for
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: cashus how but now we're having them go twenty two.
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: I know that it's a dire position right now and
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: they need help, but that would scream reaching out a
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: position to need for me.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: Well, well, let's real and we'll move on a second.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: If you look at the best players on the board, right.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Hm, you know how many Eagles fans are mad at us?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Right now, because the Eagles picked next, and we're sitting here.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: If you look at it exactly, you've got Trell, who
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: would be certainly a big needst corner. He's a tough
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: forty pick. Does he go this early falk? We've talked
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: about a lot McNeil Warren.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I mean this conception and to the conversation here. I
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: know you saiddenly like Quentin, but it's not giving him extension.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. It's not gonna happen. They're not receiver.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna well, I'm gonna trust that the Gams not lying. Okay,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: what did he pushed back on them? Not one? And
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: he did?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: He did? You're right?
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Is there?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I mean, could all right? Could Folk play the d
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: end position in a I think he probably.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Could be a second technique playing because he's.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they can figure it out. They're smart enough
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: to be able to put guys in positions to succeed.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: It's a thirty four.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: How about a linebacker?
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Is there anybody they could use? Now? Now, I would
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: tell you safety, Absolutely they could use. Remember McNeil Warren
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: from one I would go with McNeil Warren.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: You know what I forgot that's a really good selection
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: right there. Yep, thank you Andrew for reminding us that
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: is the obvious selection. Yeah, and we give them a
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Manuel McNeil Warren.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: Because you remember well.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Him and Derwin in the in the same backfield is gonna.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Be up there. I mean, Derwin's also getting a little
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: bit older. Lojiah Moulden could play nickel, he could play safety.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Tony Jefferson's to backup. He's near the end of his career.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Right, that's where it slides, right, didn't perfectly from.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: He's the best player on the board figured out and
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: you're right you mentioned earlier, big nickel.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: They'll play a ton of that.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's they've done that. So yeah, absolutely, it's a
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: great pick for them.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Hey, Philly fans game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: long lines, We've all been there. But when it comes
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is

- 1:16:09Speaker 1: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: service members, and healthcare pros camedn Apothecary, top quality cannabis,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: one and up. You want to spend ten seconds on
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: why the Eagles will take Cayden Procter and we don't
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: really need to haggle it out over anything else.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: They're gonna take Cayden Procter.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, at this point, is there any other
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: offensive tackle that you might like? All right, So whoever
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: would be left of that position would be Caleblomu MAXI
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: and a i Heanachur or Cayden Proctor. I could I
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: think you can make an argument that they might see
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: i He and Achor as the better player of three
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: years down the road because he doesn't have to deal
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: with the weight conditioning that that Proctor has dealt with.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: But Proctors are more a fine player right now.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: The Eagles are going to go for upside, not necessarily
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: the safe player. So you're you're not wrong there, and
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: you try to think along those lines. Proctor does have
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: im mense upside and he's the player who if you
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: need to press him, if he was pressing the service,
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: you feel better about him having to play year one.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: It's gonna take a little bit of time for you
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: not sure to get rolling.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: However, you're to pick. He is a right tackle. He
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: plays right tackle at Arizona State. He projects the right
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: tackle until he really gets more refinement. Proctor is a
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: left tackle, so you'd have to start him off on
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: the opposite side here for his Eagles career if he
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: was going to have to fill in.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: I mean, it's just the weight.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: But you know what I'm going with my pick in
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: the mock draft three point zero where I had Max
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: he not sure here.
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: Actually I'd lean toward that because you have a year
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: to develop this guy.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: You don't have to play rush, and he has a
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: higher upside.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just experience, but he's not gonna play this year.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: And then he's going to be if you've made the decision.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: He will replace Lane Johnson. There's no debate, there's a discussion.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: You draft him here, he's Lane's replacement.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. And by the way, if he's not, if
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Lane suffers an injury early, and that's why you have
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Fred Johnson, he can play there until Ian George Right,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I would go with Max Ee. I think he's more
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: of an Eagles type pick.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: Well, we know you know the Browns are gonna go.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: There's there's no discussion, there's no debate, Thank you.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: All right, We're gonna do a two for one deals Max.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: We're going to two for one deal here, Max and
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Aswer goes to the Eagles, and then Cayden Procter goes
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: right next to the Cleveland Browns. That would be fun
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: to watch given the connection between the two front offices.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Andrew Berry, Hallie Roseman, although who knows how long Andrew
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: will last with the way things are going.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: A great draft. You finally put one together man last year,
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: like you, you could make the case he shouldn't have
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: come back, but he's draft was very good last year.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: He's butchered quarterback.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, he hit it right on the the linebacker at
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the usc right, tremendous. Yeah, from the running back look
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: good too, all right? Twenty fifth overall the Chicago Bears.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: This seems like not for Keldrick f to make.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: It is a good spot.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: It's a major need edges for an let's say that
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: they need they can use the center, another corner safety.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Let's just look before we move on, see if there's
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: anyone left on my board here.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Their defensive coordinator is Dennis Allen, right, and he is
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I mean, he's played different. He's a multiple front. He
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: can blitz like blitz.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Have some some guys are going to throw out there
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: just the minute. How you react, torell Avian Trurell Yeah, okay,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: hood probably a little early, but I'm just mentioning it right.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: Edge wise, oh boy boy fall who you mentioned Cassius
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: hal at least discussions should start here.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm inclined to go with Keldrick Falk here.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Okay, I am too, knowing Dennis Allen and how he
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: likes beef your edges, I would go Keldrick Falk here.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: They need a big they need an up the field edge.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: But it's this is what folks, we've tried. To explain
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: to you, we didn't know this was going to happen,
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: how tough it would be of blue chip players. We're
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: just give any answers to the test.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: There aren't very muchy there are, yeah, yeah, So I
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: would go with Falk here at this point, I think
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: we've reached the part where you start taking guys that
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: you probably have second round grades on because yeah.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Exactly, and look, this is trade out territory or someone
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: drops like you'd expect you want to trade out. But yeah, absolutely,
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: this is where you want to get Alvis round.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so Keldrick Falk, we're okay. So that brings up
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the Buffalo, the Buffalo Bills. I mean, you gotta get
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a wide receiver, right.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: No, no, no, all right, they made the trade. I
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: mean they spend a lot of money on on DJ Moore.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: I know, but I don't see him as a one.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I just see him as well.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: They're not paying, they're paying to be a one. That's
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: you can say that, but you're.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Right, but that enables you to draft a wide receiver
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: who could be a one on a rookie contract. So
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: it's sort of like you don't have a wide receiver
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: among their top four needs on this list.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Wow, okay, well no, because again it's like Shakir, they extended,
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: they're paying more. Look, you take more off their different
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: stories that are number one need. I'm not arguing. Yeah,
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: Josh Palmer, they're paying big coin. I know he was
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: hurt last season.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Yeah. And by the way, to your point at him there,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: their GM thinks that they have very good wide receivers.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: Oh well he he pushed back. Brandon Bean did well
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: before the More trade. Yeah, he pushed back, and then
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: he made the trade for More. As you're allusion, I
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: know we're going here. Yeah, I mean they they yeah,
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: they they they restructured More's contract at the trade. But
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: there's a lot of money coming here. Yeah. I could
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: they add one later, sure, edge Is it's interesting. You
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: know they're they're changing their scheme right with Jim Leonard.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: I I'm almost certain they're going to move through thirty four.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Yep, yep. They've got Bradley Chubb now and Rousseau.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they used another one absolutely. Michael Hoyt unfortunately
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: was hurt. Yeah, but Bradley Chubby they signed nice money
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: to Rousseau. He's being paid. Well, they could use.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Round they drafted Harrison in the first round.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Right corner last year. They've got better for they extended.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: It's tough because how about Super Junior still sitting out there?
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I know, I know, how about off ball linebacker? Is
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: that the money?
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: It's the need. They're not good, They're there, it's there,
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: They're just okay, they're just okay.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I mean, do you go? And we we already gave C. J.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Allen to the Cowboys? Right is that?
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Yes? Which is probably little early, but yes, yeah, I
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: thought there was. Bernard's not extensional. He's good, but Dorian
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Williams is up. Yeah, they can use they can use
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: the linebacker here.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: I don't think you know. The thing about conception, if
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you're gonna go wide receiver is that he's a literally
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: got some maturity issues. I don't know if they want
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: to deal with that, because I already dealing with that
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: with uh with Kean, right, So yeah, I don't know
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: if they want to deal with that.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: All right, just before we move on, okay, you could
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: we could at least discuss receiver. This is a discussion. Yeah,
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: I'm not totally against it, but I'm looking at the
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: best players on the board for position of needs for
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: the future. Well, corner, they don't need a starting corner.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: They could use depth.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Mm hm.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Oh boy, this is a tough one.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Because they need an edge.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: How about someone like young, I mean, Cad McDonald. I'm
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: tempted to go cashus. Howel here, I mean you never
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: you need pass rushers. He's a good one. He'll fit
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: that scheme.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: One thing the discussion now, because remember they need three
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: dtach they need three interior alignment because the change.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: So you're thinking Christian Miller gets into the conversation here.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Caten McDonald, Maybe.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Did we take Miller early? We took him to be
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: the Steelers? Correct, No, no, Blake Miller, Christian Miller.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Okay, no, we haven't given anybody a defensive tackle yet.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: Yah. Yeah. Remember they're changing schemes here now I know. Now,
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: now I get it. They head coaches that personnel control, yep,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: or a lot of a lot of control. He's no
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: longer there, Christian Miller. It's me here. Here are the guys.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: It's Caleb Banks coming off the broken foot but unbelievably talented. Yeah,
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: Caate McDonald old, Christian Miller from Georgia and Peter Woods
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: mm hmm. The best player on the board is Caleb Banks.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: It's it's who Caleb Banks.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: Caleb Banks. Okay, they did bring in Christian Miller by
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the way for a thirty visit, just to let you know. Okay,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: that doesn't mean anything, but they brought it.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Caleb Banks is a stud. It's stud.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Is he the one from uhid?
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah? Greg?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think you would probably be a top
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: twenty guy if he didn't have the injury.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: It is a great value.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: It's pretty good value at that point.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: And let's let's roll with it. They need a defensive lineman.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: You gotta go upside. You gotta go upside.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: And it does stand the reason there will be at
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: least one the interior alignment taken in the first round. So,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: all right, San Francisco is up next. I have to
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: think that this is going to be a pick on defense.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: But what do you guys think wide receiver? Yeah, I
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: mean they signed Evans, they have Pierce.
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: All they still have Yeah, but they can get a
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: different type of player in casey concept, you know, and
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: maybe an Omar Cooper junior who.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Cooper, remember, is the worst luck with injury and Evans
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: is an older player contractually structure wise, he the guarantee
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: it's signing is not huge. The fact, yeah, there's really
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: no full guaranteed money next year.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Mm hmmm.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: He doesn't play well. I mean, Mike, he's going to
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: be obviously first ballot ballot Hall of Famer. They they
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: could absolutely use the receiver. I remember, I was going
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: to be gone. They've said that he whether goes to
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: wash it or not remains to be seen, but he
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: won't be back.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: So yeah, By the way, they brought a ton of
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: guys wide receivers in for their thirty visits. Cooper Conception, Brazil, Brazil, whatever, Brazil, Austin,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Kobe Young. So they brought in Trigg as a tight
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: a out.
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: I know they play a ton of twelve personnel. They're
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: not a big eleven personnel team. That that's never going
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: to change our Kyle Shanahan. It's just one thing to consider.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: As for folks who are doing their own mock drafts, yep.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: But he just if you look at if you just
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: go by BPA at a position of need for the future,
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: it's not so much this year, but for the future,
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: you just look at the best players on the board. Conception,
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: it's conception Howell as an edge Yeah, yeah, that's that's me.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Cooper would fit really nice.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: And then Samuel Yeah, Cooper to me is the best
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: player on the board.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Guys, I would go Cooper too, because I think he
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: fits that scheme. And after what they went through with
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: UH with the wide receiver, I'm not sure they want
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: to go with another one that has maturity concerns or
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: drop concerns like conceptions. So I'm great with Omar Cooper there.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: Man, that's done. Carters in number twenty eight wide receiver.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it just feels like they take a wide receiver
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: every year in the first round. Houston up next to Texans.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: They just gave some contract extensions to their great edge rushers.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: They have a great defense. Offensively, they really need to
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: help on that offensive line.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: They Yeah, the GM there was the king of patchwork
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: offensive lineman. He just can't figure it out. I mean, ye,
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: Lucas Harrah's pretty good. He's done a good job. I
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: mean he will. Anderson has been a stud. The d
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: Neil Hunter switch. We're letting Grenard go and bring in
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Hunter has worked out. It took Stingley a while that
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: stay healthy. He's a stud. Roster's been a good story.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: Peach's a good nickel. They got re blanket ship on
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: the chief. Bill look's been a good story. Toe toe.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: That linebacker from Bama has been a stunner. Like no
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: one's Greg talked about it. He's surprised. He's been a
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: good story. Yeah.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Caleb Lomo is still on the board.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna get heat so right now. Well, they
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: could use the detackle the future, no question about. They're
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: very light there. Yeah, on your point, See he's patchwork
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: this thing. Guys get a stut offensive line for goodness sake.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: Yeah. The only problem is, you know, I just talked.
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: The more I talk to people about him, the more
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: I there are some questions about him. You know, it
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: almost about killeblom Is. His physicality is toughness. I mean again,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: you're drafting for the future. They can they can toughen
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: him up. He probably is the best offensive lineman you know.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: But you're not too far away now from the Besontses
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: and the Pregnans as well.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: Ye, Lee Woods might be a good fit there as well.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: Well, it's inat that's their biggest need would be interior
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: defensive lineman.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Yeah, this guy go go that route instead of offensive line.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: And this GM is the king of of of just not.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: They're not gonna win until they build their offensive line quality. Yeah, look,
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: I know the quarterbacks aregressed. That's a fact. That's the
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: tape shows. Man, he's not. Casario has just bungled the
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: offensive line. He's done a great job every well, so
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: give us do but we're being honest here. It's what
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: we do here. No one. They've done a good job
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: building their offensive line.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: So what do you think Peter Woods at de tackle
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: or do you think Caleb Loomou offensive line right tackle?
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: I I you know, I probably go Lomu here despite
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: what what you know. The feedback is because you're you're
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: at twenty eight, you're getting a second round prospect anyway,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: a guy that's gonna need work.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: They gotta protect c J. Stroud. You saw the postseason.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, all right, Caleb. Oh to the old tackle
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: from Utah. We're down to the last four. We've got
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: the Chiefs at twenty nine. Now, remember they picked ninth
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: and we gave them Spencer Fino. We also said they
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: need help at edge and uh some.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Other fever big time, big time tackle corner safety.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: To me, this is a great spot for cash as Howll.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: I really think he fits. He'll move around in that
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: in that Spagnola defense and rush the passer.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: Yes, to me, guys, I believe Therell on my board.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: See here, he's got some tackling and toughness issues.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: So he's but he can definitely top forty. You can
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: make the case he's the best player on the board.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: He's he's the best two or three. Uh, there's some
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: really good t tackles here available. Woods is available McDonald McDonald.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Yep, christ they keep losing corners.
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: So I get why you guys would say Ian Torell.
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: It makes a lot of sense.
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: I forget we have gone to Buffalo.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: No, we said we had Caleb Banks going to buff Yeah,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: Christi Miller wouldn't be bad. I mean he's a good player,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: good deten defensive tackle out of Georgia.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Receiver.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: You think they're gonna go receiver again?
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: They need one? He later? You'd rather go later. Yeah,
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: let me see if there's a receiver here, they could
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: take kc concept. I mean just concept Cooper's gone.
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: It's Denzel Boston maybe.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: All right, So he to me is a top forty
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: guy somewhere in there. It's but I'm with Jeff, I
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: don't see a receiver here that they just gotta get worthy, right, Yeah, I.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: Think it's either edge or corner. I mean, they gotta
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: get the line of their defense.
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: Let's go with Hell. I like hol Yeah, Well, again
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: the corner.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: I think Andy is more likely to want the an
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: upfront guy than a corner.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: There's so bad a corner. But is Terrell good enough
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: to be taken there? That's the question.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: I agree. I think if you're going for best player,
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: you're probably going for Howell here. I had one guy
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: told me you thought Howell was the fourth best pass
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: rusher of the draft.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: That for me. If you're saying that that's that's what
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: you've heard, that's it done. Okay, all right, Cash as
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: hell m.
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: Goes to the Chiefs at twenty nine. That brings up
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Miami for their second first round pick, in their eleventh
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: overall pick. We had them with the no brainer of
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Francis Malinoa, offensive tackle from Miami. Do we want to
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: give them some weapons because you know, what do they
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: got They got no, they got nothing. So I mean
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: I feel like it's a pretty good spot. For Casey
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: conception unless you guys think differently.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I look at their their defense. They need some
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: help there, and it seems like a good spot for
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: Chris Johnson San Diego State corner. If he goes sneaks
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: inside the first round, that would be the ideal landing spot.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Well, it's really the discussion is with Chris Johnson. I'm
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: green with you. Denzel Boston exception.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, shoot, if there was another offensive lineman here,
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: like a bisontist, that because they need so much help
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: on the.
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: Off roster, is terrible. Yeah, it's terrible.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: I could see I honestly can see him double dipping
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: here and going Besantes but U or another you know,
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: top guard.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: This one's tough. They're wide receivers right now, it's are
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: to two at well, Jalen Tolbert and Malik Washington. Can
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: we please give them Casey conception.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: Because let's go. He's he'll start right away and got
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: the and uh receivers, coach, tell me he's not just
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: the slies that he could play.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Z the dynamic punt returner as well. Don't forget all right,
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: uh New England thirty first. Overall, they don't need an
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: ex wide receiver.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: I hear if the trade goes down when we think
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: it's going to go down June second, Well, that means
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: that they're not that that they're going to be making
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: this pick and trade. Maybe twenty seven first rounder.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you think at twelve oh one am on
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: June second, we all get like a notifications?
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: Well, okay, here are there needs? At thirty one they
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: receive they're going to take care of that. What aj
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: most likely? Right? Tight end guard?
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: What's that too early for stours?
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: Okay? Guard, edge, inside backer and safety, guard.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: Edge, inside backer and safety. You know they really do
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: need help on that old line. Yeah, best guard. I
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: mean you're you're talking about probably.
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, or Rutledge maybe I think.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: I think pregnant or or you know, there are some
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: teams that really like Rutledge.
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: So I'm with you, is it? Yeah, let's go out
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: of a and n Now, just just a little nugget
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: for Patriots fans if you listen listening, Michael Winner was
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: on the final years contract, and it's just something you
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: got to look at. Do they want to bring him
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: back because you didn't have a great year. It's my
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: understanding he's making he's making seventeen to five this year.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: Mm hmm. The surprise pick would be a right tackle
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: or or and I know I'm sorry Morgan most is
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: the right tackle. But Aueno. Remember he used to play tackle.
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: The movement of guard. Taking a guard here would be
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: would be fine, will be fine. But I know some
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: people are going to say, what do you talk about
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: a win? Who's the guy? I'm not so sure about
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: that for the future.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Good intell.
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: I like it all right.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: Seattle is going to finish off this draft. Can I
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: sell you guys on a replacement for Kenneth Walker Engineerian Price?
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: You could or another corner to replace Riq Wohan. They
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: have Witherspoon. They re signed Josh Joe.
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: But m h Corner, Yes, I would say corner. My
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: only issue with running back. Price will go in the
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: top fifty. My only problem is, and by the way,
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: they're gonna look the trade down they need more draft picks.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: John Shudder loves doing that.
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: If it's Corner, it's Avion Terrell. If it's not, I
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: feel like it's it's Jedarian Price.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: Well, I would say this running back is by far
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: the biggest need. I'm not disagreeing edge is also a
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: need corner material offensive lineman. Yep. I mean they've done,
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: but remember Pete Carroll was involved in it when they
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: when they drafted Walker and they drafted they did back
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: to back years of second round, so bazaar, you know, yeah, yep.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Chris Johnson, Chris Johnson would be God, he's such a
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: good player now that I think about it, just in
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: that defense, right, like he's gonna know all the keys,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: the responsibilities.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: I love it. I did a great pick.
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: Yeah, let's do it all right.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: Chris Johnson cornerback Seattle Seahawks finishes it off and that
