- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, 710WOR presents The Mark Simone Show. Hey, it's one
- 0:10Speaker 1: week from Election Day. It's one week from today. I'll
- 0:13Speaker 1: give you all the latest polling in a moment. And
- 0:16Speaker 1: Israel elections are today. They're taking place as we speak. It's, well,
- 0:22Speaker 1: the time difference is it's six hours later. in Israel,
- 0:28Speaker 1: normally seven, but they go off daylight saving time a
- 0:31Speaker 1: week before we do. So right now, there's a period
- 0:33Speaker 1: of a week where it's a six-hour time difference. So
- 0:37Speaker 1: it would be afternoon, getting to be late afternoon there.
- 0:41Speaker 1: The voting taking place, we'll go over that election. President
- 0:45Speaker 1: Trump all over the place, crisscrossing the nation. He goes
- 0:49Speaker 1: to Texas today, speaking for hours at rallies. Got a
- 0:53Speaker 1: little raspy. And of course, fake news went immediately to work,
- 0:58Speaker 1: declaring him dying. What's wrong with him? Something's wrong with him. Clearly,
- 1:03Speaker 1: this is he's getting he's worse than Joe Biden. He's
- 1:08Speaker 1: flying all over the country. He's been in like 12
- 1:10Speaker 1: states in five days. He is doing three hour rallies
- 1:14Speaker 1: every day. You tend to get a little raspy after that.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I feel great.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I was shouting at people because they were stupid about
- 1:22Speaker 2: something having to do with the trade in a country
- 1:27Speaker 2: and I straighten it out but I blew my stack
- 1:30Speaker 2: at these.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Well it sounds like there's a follow-up there but can
- 1:34Speaker 3: I ask you about Venezuela you suggested what it sounds
- 1:36Speaker 3: like there's a follow-up there can I ask you about
- 1:38Speaker 3: Venezuela you.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Said there was a polyp I don't want.
- 1:43Speaker 1: To hear that well yeah no besides these three-hour speeches
- 1:48Speaker 1: these loud rallies he's good at yelling at people too
- 1:51Speaker 1: All right. Now, this is the big controversy in the
- 1:54Speaker 1: world today. President Obama, former President Obama, attacks Trump. He's
- 2:01Speaker 1: out there stumping for candidates now. He's in Michigan because
- 2:04Speaker 1: Al-Sayed is in real trouble with black voters. They think
- 2:07Speaker 1: Obama can help there. But I don't think people have
- 2:12Speaker 1: looked at Obama's track record as a campaigner for other people,
- 2:16Speaker 1: as an endorser for other people. It's a bad track record.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Most of the people, almost everybody he endorses or campaigns for, loses.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It happens all the time. Remember in 2024, election time,
- 2:29Speaker 1: Kamala Harris was in trouble. He went out there to
- 2:31Speaker 1: stump her. And of course, every time he does this,
- 2:35Speaker 1: the person loses. Now, the big controversy, the major controversy,
- 2:42Speaker 1: the way Trump decorates. Now, Obama went after him, making
- 2:45Speaker 1: fun of him. He said, the guy spends all his
- 2:47Speaker 1: time on Home renovation. Okay, there is... No, he doesn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: spend all his time on it. Nine to five, he's
- 2:54Speaker 1: President of the United States. Five to seven, he goes
- 2:57Speaker 1: to work with the contractors. He has really fixed up
- 3:00Speaker 1: the White House. It was in terrible shape. A lot
- 3:02Speaker 1: of stuff was really decaying, decrepit, and he fixed it. Now,
- 3:06Speaker 1: the Oval Office, that's a different story. I mean, I
- 3:10Speaker 1: don't think anybody looks at what he's done with the
- 3:11Speaker 1: Oval Office and takes the picture and gives it to
- 3:14Speaker 1: their decorator and says, I want this. I don't think
- 3:16Speaker 1: anybody wants that. It's a little... Let's be honest, it's Liberace-ish.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But it's not as bad as Obama makes it out
- 3:26Speaker 1: to be. And Obama said, looks like Saddam Hussein opened
- 3:30Speaker 1: a cheesecake factory. Well, I don't think he realized he's
- 3:34Speaker 1: an elitist, Martha's Vineyard sort of a guy. He was
- 3:38Speaker 1: putting down Cheesecake Factory, which is a big, wonderful place
- 3:41Speaker 1: to most Americans. And to most Americans, it's an upscale
- 3:45Speaker 1: sort of a place. It's not something to be demeaned.
- 3:48Speaker 1: So And who, oh, it was Besson, Scott Besson, whenever.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Scott Besson, good for him. Yesterday, he went to the
- 3:55Speaker 1: Cheesecake Factory and had lunch. And as he came out,
- 3:59Speaker 1: the reporters, oh, what are you? He goes, I always
- 4:02Speaker 1: order the French dip cheeseburger. Wow, that did sound good.
- 4:06Speaker 1: He's a big Cheesecake Factory person. And he said, maybe
- 4:11Speaker 1: you elitists in the Martha's Vineyard set ought to try
- 4:14Speaker 1: Cheesecake Factory. So that was the problem. Obama seemed a
- 4:18Speaker 1: little out of touch with normal America on that. But
- 4:21Speaker 1: Trump responded yesterday.
- 4:23Speaker 4: He said, this isn't a cheesecake factory, can you believe it?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Which is a very successful company. This isn't, he doesn't
- 4:30Speaker 2: like successful companies.
- 4:32Speaker 4: I've taken care of the White House. I fixed it
- 4:35Speaker 4: with the finest artisans in the world. We have to
- 4:38Speaker 4: explain that to Obama because he doesn't understand it because
- 4:41Speaker 4: he's not a smart guy, let me tell you. In
- 4:43Speaker 4: my opinion, he's not smart at all because the way
- 4:46Speaker 4: he ran the country, only a stupid person would run
- 4:49Speaker 4: the country like that.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you want to fix your house and
- 4:53Speaker 1: you bring a contractor in and you see the six
- 4:55Speaker 1: things wrong. When this professional eye comes in, he sees
- 4:58Speaker 1: like eight other things you didn't see. So Trump, a
- 5:00Speaker 1: professional builder, one of the best in America, comes into
- 5:03Speaker 1: the White House. And a lot of it was actually decrepit.
- 5:07Speaker 1: You know, when those world leaders come to visit and
- 5:10Speaker 1: Monica Crowley greets them outside and then brings them in. Well,
- 5:13Speaker 1: the first place they come into, this big lobby, it's
- 5:15Speaker 1: called the Palm Court. It was really decrepit. It was
- 5:19Speaker 1: like old linoleum floors and the walls were like peeling wallpaper.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So the first thing Trump did, he put in beautiful
- 5:26Speaker 1: marble floors and beautiful walls and fixed it up. And
- 5:29Speaker 1: then as he walked around the White House, there were
- 5:31Speaker 1: pieces of molding cracked and ornaments on the windows cracked.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And they had to be replaced. So he's got a point.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Why didn't Obama or any of these other people, Joe Biden,
- 5:44Speaker 1: he's half blind bumping into walls, he probably cracked the ornaments. But...
- 5:48Speaker 1: Why didn't Obama see this?
- 5:50Speaker 4: We have to explain to Obama that the White House
- 5:53Speaker 4: is a symbol of America and it has to be
- 5:55Speaker 4: maintained properly. It has to be painted and the exterior
- 5:59Speaker 4: plaster can't be falling off the walls and the decorations
- 6:03Speaker 4: and ornaments around the windows that are magnificent can't be
- 6:07Speaker 4: on one side of the window and fallen off on
- 6:09Speaker 4: the other side. It has to be clean. The columns
- 6:13Speaker 4: can't be broken. The bricks can't be falling off from
- 6:17Speaker 4: under the plaster. And for you to say it's a
- 6:22Speaker 4: cheesecake factory, that just shows why you're a lousy president.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So he really went after him. And he has replaced
- 6:29Speaker 1: all this stuff. And it's not easy. You know, those
- 6:31Speaker 1: ornaments on the side, those carvings are 100 years old.
- 6:35Speaker 1: He had to have an expert come and make a
- 6:37Speaker 1: molding so they could recreate them for the other side.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Did a lot of work to fix things up. So, hey,
- 6:43Speaker 1: there's a new survey that comes out. They do this
- 6:45Speaker 1: every year of the best governors in America. It's based
- 6:49Speaker 1: on a lot of factors, economics, crime, people's life standards.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's a lot of factors. Very careful study. Guess who won?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Kathy Hochul. as the worst governor in America, single worst
- 7:08Speaker 1: governor in America, came in 50th place, 50th place. Throw
- 7:13Speaker 1: her the hell out one week from today. Vote for
- 7:17Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman one week from today. Actually, don't even wait,
- 7:21Speaker 1: go do it today. Now there's some new polling, detailed polling,
- 7:26Speaker 1: on voter enthusiasm and voter likelihood. And here's the thing,
- 7:30Speaker 1: with Democrats, in the new polling, they are much more
- 7:35Speaker 1: enthusiastic than Republicans. They're coming out in huge numbers in
- 7:41Speaker 1: the early voting, far more than Republicans. But in the polling,
- 7:48Speaker 1: it shows that when it comes to election day, Republicans
- 7:52Speaker 1: will turn out in greater numbers. They're more committed. There
- 7:56Speaker 1: could be more voting, but they've got to get out there.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So it's all about turnout. If Republicans turn out They
- 8:04Speaker 1: will win this election if Republicans turn out. It's all
- 8:06Speaker 1: about turnout. And I keep telling you, do it now.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Do it this week. Do the early voting. There's no lines.
- 8:11Speaker 1: You can walk right in. And it's much easier. Don't
- 8:17Speaker 1: wait until Election Day because you never know. Who knows?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Election Day, it's pouring rain. You don't want to go.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Election Day, you get busy. You can't go. Do it
- 8:24Speaker 1: this week. You can do the early voting. Get to
- 8:27Speaker 1: the polls and vote. Michigan, El-Sayed, it's interesting. He's going...
- 8:34Speaker 1: He must be having trouble with his base because he's
- 8:37Speaker 1: going full anti-Semite. He's an anti-Semitic guy. He hates Jews,
- 8:42Speaker 1: just like Mom Donnie, just like a lot of Democrat candidates.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I don't know where this came from, this anti-Semitism. It
- 8:50Speaker 1: just sprung up over the last decade. Now it's out
- 8:53Speaker 1: of control. In the El-Sayed campaign, there's now an ad
- 8:57Speaker 1: running that Hitler could have made this ad. Literally, it's
- 9:02Speaker 1: the most anti-Semitic, disgusting ad. Now, it's made by an
- 9:05Speaker 1: outside PAC, and you are supposed to believe that El-Sayed
- 9:10Speaker 1: had nothing to do with it and no knowledge of it. But,
- 9:13Speaker 1: I don't know, you do the math. It's anti-Semitic. It's
- 9:17Speaker 1: a couple in a grocery store. The prices are so high,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and they blame the Jews. This is what Hitler did.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He would run these kind of ads all over the place.
- 9:25Speaker 1: about how the Jews are the reason you're paying more money,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the Jews are the problem, everything is caused by the Jews.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Listen to this ad.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Honey.
- 9:32Speaker 3: What?
- 9:33Speaker 5: You're going to have to put those eggs back.
- 9:35Speaker 1: They don't like eggs anymore?
- 9:36Speaker 5: No, they like eggs, but we have to set that
- 9:39Speaker 5: $ 7 aside for killing Palestinians.
- 9:43Speaker 3: What?
- 9:43Speaker 1: I mean, don't we give Israel $ 4 billion a year anyways?
- 9:46Speaker 5: Yeah, and now we're giving them another $ 26 billion. Do
- 9:51Speaker 5: you know how much that is per American taxpayer? It's
- 9:55Speaker 5: like $ 161 per person. Apparently it's costing us a lot
- 9:59Speaker 5: of money to drop bomb.
- 10:00Speaker 1: On gaza all right this is out and out hitler
- 10:03Speaker 1: you know they love to throw that hitler one this
- 10:04Speaker 1: is hitler hitler used to do this in speeches and
- 10:08Speaker 1: his propaganda this is what led up to the holocaust
- 10:12Speaker 1: he blamed the jews for everything every problem you have
- 10:14Speaker 1: is the jews the high prices of the jews i
- 10:16Speaker 1: mean this is Out-and-out Hitler Nazi crap coming from El
- 10:20Speaker 1: Sayad's side.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Might as well put the bananas back.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Why the f * * * do we have to
- 10:24Speaker 1: pay for all this?
- 10:27Speaker 5: Don't cuss at me.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Why does Mike Rogers care so much about what Israelis
- 10:32Speaker 1: want and so little about what you want? Mike Rogers
- 10:35Speaker 1: is for... They-them. All right, it's out-and-out Hitler. It's Joe Garibalds.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's Joseph Garibalds. It's... This is... This is where Al-Sayed
- 10:47Speaker 1: is headed in a desperate finish in this race. It's
- 10:52Speaker 1: the most disgusting thing we've seen in American politics in
- 10:57Speaker 1: decades and decades and decades. Absolutely disgusting. Now, you know
- 11:02Speaker 1: that ad with the Ohio candidate's mother? This is all
- 11:06Speaker 1: the networks talk about. This is all the New York Times.
- 11:09Speaker 1: They're going to focus on this ad. They're going to
- 11:10Speaker 1: make this ad an issue. This ad right here, this
- 11:14Speaker 1: Hitler ad, they'll never mention it. They'll never mention it.
- 11:18Speaker 1: They'll cover it up. NBC, ABC, CBS, The New York Times,
- 11:23Speaker 1: they'll all cover up this ad. CNN, they won't cover it.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's the most disgusting thing ever. Speaking of CNN, you know,
- 11:32Speaker 1: it's been bought by Skydance, the big company, Paramount, CBS, Skydance.
- 11:38Speaker 1: They bought Warner Brothers Discovery. So they now own CNN, HBO,
- 11:43Speaker 1: and all this stuff. But they've got to cut costs.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So they've announced an employee buyout program. They're going to
- 11:49Speaker 1: get rid of a lot of people. A lot of people.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They're looking at anybody with over 15 years of experience.
- 11:58Speaker 1: They have been sent a buyout package. They're also demanding
- 12:02Speaker 1: everybody return to work. You've got to be in the
- 12:05Speaker 1: office five days a week. Yeah, one reason companies do that.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It's a good way to get rid of people. A
- 12:11Speaker 1: lot of people will quit over it. So it's five
- 12:13Speaker 1: days a week in the office. The new owner, David Ellison,
- 12:18Speaker 1: says he's got to save. He's got to cut $ 6
- 12:21Speaker 1: billion in costs. So they're going to fire a lot
- 12:25Speaker 1: of people. They'll buy them out, pay them off. But
- 12:27Speaker 1: a lot of people are going. $ 6 billion. You know
- 12:31Speaker 1: they owe $ 82 billion. That's the debt on this purchase.
- 12:35Speaker 1: They got $ 7. 9 billion in cash, but they owe $ 82 billion. Hey,
- 12:39Speaker 1: as I said, election day today in Israel, it's not
- 12:43Speaker 1: certain that Netanyahu will win. There's a lot of opposition
- 12:46Speaker 1: to him. The challenger, the second place, is Gadi Eisenkot.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And they got different views on the Iran war. Eisenkot
- 12:55Speaker 1: believes you can't get regime change. It's never going to happen.
- 12:59Speaker 1: He believes you got to put tremendous economic pressure on Iran.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And he will back strikes on the nuclear program, but
- 13:10Speaker 1: not an all-out return to war. He's a former head
- 13:14Speaker 1: of the Israeli Defense Forces. He just thinks regime change,
- 13:17Speaker 1: he says, is not an achievable goal. He's called for
- 13:21Speaker 1: a balance of military strikes and diplomacy to end the war.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'll go with the Netanyahu approach, wipe them out. Hey,
- 13:32Speaker 1: this is important news. These green scheme climate change people
- 13:39Speaker 1: have proven to be wrong every time about everything. They
- 13:42Speaker 1: are always wrong on everything. The windmills were a total failure,
- 13:48Speaker 1: did more environmental harm than just about anything. The solar
- 13:51Speaker 1: panels are useless, don't produce enough energy. You know, in Europe,
- 13:55Speaker 1: parts of Europe, Germany, other countries went totally windmill solar
- 13:58Speaker 1: power for about two years, almost two. They had to
- 14:01Speaker 1: take it all down. It totally fails. It's None of
- 14:05Speaker 1: this stuff works. Remember the paper straws? You can't have
- 14:09Speaker 1: a plastic straw. You've got to have a paper straw,
- 14:12Speaker 1: and that's it. Well, the latest detailed study shows that
- 14:16Speaker 1: paper straws are worse for the environment than the plastic
- 14:19Speaker 1: ones in a lot of ways. Traditional plastic straws had
- 14:25Speaker 1: a much lower environmental footprint in 10 different categories. Paper
- 14:31Speaker 1: straws were found to generate over six times more carcinogens
- 14:35Speaker 1: than plastic straws, with double the impact on environmental acidification.
- 14:44Speaker 1: The paper straws, even the ones from the renewable sources,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, like sugar cane, produced 15 times more carcinogenic
- 14:54Speaker 1: factors than the regular plastic straws, six times the acidification.
- 15:00Speaker 1: And that's what the metric that scientists use to measure
- 15:03Speaker 1: changes in the ocean and all of that. Study found
- 15:06Speaker 1: the paper straws are so small when they go into
- 15:11Speaker 1: that recycling stuff, they actually don't get recycled. Almost none
- 15:15Speaker 1: of them get recycled. They evade the recycling stuff. And
- 15:19Speaker 1: also their water-resistant coatings and industrial glues prevent them from
- 15:25Speaker 1: breaking down easily, demands more energy during the processing process.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And leaves open the possibility that microplastics could end up
- 15:35Speaker 1: in the recycled pulp. So they are a disaster, the
- 15:37Speaker 1: paper struts. They are worse for the environment than the
- 15:40Speaker 1: plastic struts. This happens every time the Green Scheme climate
- 15:45Speaker 1: change Dems try something. Hey, we got a lot to
- 15:48Speaker 1: get to this morning. A lot to talk about. I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: here three hours now. 9 to noon every day, 9
- 15:53Speaker 1: to noon, here on 710WOR.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios, the Mark Simone Show.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Well, hey, it's a beautiful day. It's going to be
- 16:06Speaker 1: beautiful all week. Bright sunshine. It's cooler today. It's going
- 16:09Speaker 1: to be autumn weather, but beautiful, bright sunshine. There's no
- 16:14Speaker 1: rain in the forecast for the next six days. A
- 16:17Speaker 1: lot going on all over the place. Now... the U.S., Canada,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know, the tariffs, the trade war, the tariff war,
- 16:25Speaker 1: the this, that. Apparently, they're very close to settling this.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Negotiations have picked up, gathering steam, according to Kevin Hassett,
- 16:35Speaker 1: director of National Economic Council, very good guy. Trump, talking
- 16:41Speaker 1: about the timeline, said it could be before the election,
- 16:45Speaker 1: so expect it later this week. Expect a total settlement
- 16:50Speaker 1: of all our Battles with Canada. They've been, he points out,
- 16:55Speaker 1: they've been making $ 90 billion a year off us for
- 16:58Speaker 1: years and years and years, taking advantage of a trade imbalance.
- 17:01Speaker 1: So the tariffs have kind of leveled the playing field.
- 17:04Speaker 1: But they're working out something. Talks have been taking place
- 17:07Speaker 1: around the clock. Our Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, his Canadian counterpart,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Dominic LeBlanc, have been negotiating. So it looks like that'll
- 17:17Speaker 1: be settled very soon. which will not make Democrats happy.
- 17:20Speaker 1: They'll be very upset. You know, look how they're yelling
- 17:24Speaker 1: and screaming about these tariffs with Canada. They've made it
- 17:26Speaker 1: a big issue in Michigan. This is all they do
- 17:28Speaker 1: and yell and scream about the tariffs with Canada. The tariffs, they're,
- 17:32Speaker 1: they're going crazy over it. Now watch when it's settled.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They'll never mention it. They won't report it got settled.
- 17:38Speaker 1: They'll never mention it ever again. Uh, they'll go back
- 17:41Speaker 1: to calling them a racist or something like that. Uh,
- 17:44Speaker 1: you know, in Europe, uh, The cities are burning, rioters, protesters.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And these are not students. I mean, started with students,
- 17:53Speaker 1: but these are Antifa. These are Middle Eastern crazy Islamic
- 17:58Speaker 1: terrorist group. I mean, these are all kinds of professional
- 18:01Speaker 1: agitators and terrorist groups behind all this stuff. Well, in
- 18:06Speaker 1: the UK, in the United Kingdom, they just told families
- 18:10Speaker 1: to stock up on emergency supplies. They said, Be ready.
- 18:18Speaker 1: They're talking about be ready for war in the country,
- 18:21Speaker 1: in the streets. This is actually a campaign they're doing.
- 18:24Speaker 1: They're telling everybody in the public, stock up on all
- 18:28Speaker 1: emergency supplies, food, medicine. Let's see. They're talking canned food,
- 18:35Speaker 1: stock up canned food, diapers, batteries, backup cell phone charging packs,
- 18:40Speaker 1: have enough cash indoors. They're worried that systems there could
- 18:45Speaker 1: be hacked, the local banking systems could be shut down.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They're worried about terrorism, wildfires, floods, cyber attacks. This is
- 18:55Speaker 1: what it's come to in Europe. This is the UK
- 18:59Speaker 1: officially making this announcement. So, hey, the other thing, I
- 19:03Speaker 1: told you about this new polling. The other thing showing
- 19:05Speaker 1: in the polling is more and more swing voters, the independents,
- 19:08Speaker 1: the swing voters, very troubled by socialism. by this democratic
- 19:14Speaker 1: socialist crap. Starting to sour on it, when asked about
- 19:18Speaker 1: their views, 56% had an unfavorable view. That's up from 50%. 60%
- 19:28Speaker 1: feel the Democratic Party is controlled by far-left nuts. That's
- 19:32Speaker 1: up from 50% in September. 82% say they favor personal
- 19:37Speaker 1: freedom and free markets over government control. People in the survey,
- 19:44Speaker 1: normal common sense people said nothing is free. There's an
- 19:48Speaker 1: agenda behind all these protests. of free benefits. Remember, check
- 19:54Speaker 1: out my Twitter. If you go to my Twitter, there's
- 19:56Speaker 1: a great video up there of the lies that Obama
- 19:59Speaker 1: pushed selling Obamacare. Of course, the big one was if
- 20:02Speaker 1: you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. But
- 20:04Speaker 1: it was more than that. It was him promising over
- 20:08Speaker 1: and over again as soon as you put in this
- 20:09Speaker 1: obamacare health care costs would drop dramatically of course just
- 20:13Speaker 1: the opposite happened they went crazy and uh the other
- 20:18Speaker 1: pointing out if you like your insurance you can keep
- 20:20Speaker 1: you well that didn't work you know a lot of
- 20:22Speaker 1: people have great insurance in this race in michigan you
- 20:26Speaker 1: got a lot of auto workers in michigan and their
- 20:29Speaker 1: union has a health care plan is one of those
- 20:31Speaker 1: cadillac plans you don't pay anything nothing you don't pay
- 20:34Speaker 1: anything And you get incredible coverage. So to lose that
- 20:38Speaker 1: to government health care, this is not something they want
- 20:42Speaker 1: to see there. Bruce Blakeman doing better and better and better.
- 20:46Speaker 1: But you got to get out there and vote. Do
- 20:47Speaker 1: it early. Do the early voting. And you can get
- 20:50Speaker 1: Blakeman easily across the finish line. He's out campaigning all
- 20:53Speaker 1: over the place. Kathy Hochul is the most pro-criminal governor
- 20:58Speaker 1: in the United States of America.
- 21:00Speaker 6: The Ten Commandments say thou shall not steal. She changed
- 21:03Speaker 6: it to thou shall not steal, except in New York.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 1: He's not exaggerating when he says the most pro-criminal. In
- 21:10Speaker 1: other words, and blame Cuomo, too. Cuomo and Hochul have
- 21:14Speaker 1: this no bail, no jail thing. which is absolutely ridiculous.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You can get caught robbing somebody, a holdup, and then
- 21:24Speaker 1: they take you to court and they see that this
- 21:26Speaker 1: is your 27th time in the last six months. And
- 21:29Speaker 1: there's no bail, no jail. You let go right back
- 21:32Speaker 1: out in the street to do it again. And they
- 21:34Speaker 1: all know this. The criminals all know this. That's why
- 21:37Speaker 1: they just do it over and over again. So worst
- 21:40Speaker 1: that could happen, they'll be dragged into a police station
- 21:42Speaker 1: in a courtroom and lose an hour of the day.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And then they're back out on the street. That's why
- 21:47Speaker 1: they come right into stores and steal everything. Just legalize shoplifting.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They know there's no penalty for it. As long as
- 21:53Speaker 1: you're under a thousand dollars. These are professional rings of
- 21:57Speaker 1: shoplifters who've trained all these kids how to steal $ 999
- 22:02Speaker 1: and never hit the thousand dollar mark. And they just
- 22:07Speaker 1: do it all the time. That's why everything's locked up
- 22:09Speaker 1: in the drugstore. You know, You want razor blade. It's
- 22:15Speaker 1: locked up. You want some aspirin. It's locked up. You
- 22:18Speaker 1: got to push the button for the manager. You got
- 22:21Speaker 1: to wait five minutes. Then the manager comes over with
- 22:25Speaker 1: the key looking at you like, why are you bothering me?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Like you really disrupted her day. She's like, Matt, you
- 22:32Speaker 1: want to buy something? Now you point. Well, what do
- 22:35Speaker 1: you want? That. Then she opens it. Still doesn't know
- 22:39Speaker 1: what to hand you. It's the worst pain in the neck.
- 22:43Speaker 1: They're starting to do it now in California. Their crime
- 22:46Speaker 1: is so out of control. They're starting to do this,
- 22:48Speaker 1: believe it or not, in supermarkets. The best cuts of beef,
- 22:53Speaker 1: the most expensive steaks, locked up. You got to push
- 22:56Speaker 1: the button, wait for the manager to come over and
- 22:59Speaker 1: give it to you. But this is HOKL. Cuomo started
- 23:01Speaker 1: this with the no bail, no jail. Police will tell
- 23:04Speaker 1: you that most of the crime on the streets, it's
- 23:07Speaker 1: the same 2,500 criminals over and over and over again.
- 23:11Speaker 1: They know who they are. If you let them turn
- 23:14Speaker 1: the police loose, they could go round them all up
- 23:16Speaker 1: in two weeks and that'd be the end of all
- 23:17Speaker 1: of this stuff. And we could go back to normal.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But Alvin Bragg and Kathy Hochul, Alvin Bragg is this horrible,
- 23:24Speaker 1: horrible district attorney. He doesn't put anybody in jail. Let's
- 23:27Speaker 1: all the criminals back out. And Hochul has the power
- 23:31Speaker 1: to remove him. That's another reason you want Blakeman. He'll
- 23:35Speaker 1: get something done. He'll put a stop to this. No bail,
- 23:37Speaker 1: no jail. And if he has to, he'll remove Alvin
- 23:39Speaker 1: Bragg as the district attorney. The governor has the power
- 23:43Speaker 1: to do that. The district attorneys work for the state,
- 23:46Speaker 1: for the governor. DeSantis had to do that in Florida.
- 23:48Speaker 1: He had one of these Alvin Bragg crazies letting everybody loose.
- 23:52Speaker 1: DeSantis removed the DA from office and put in a
- 23:55Speaker 1: real DA who started locking criminals up and everything changed.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Everything got a lot better. Hey, we got a lot
- 24:02Speaker 1: more to get to. We'll take some calls coming up.
- 24:04Speaker 1: All sorts of stuff this morning. It's Mark Simone here.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Three hours now, nine to noon, nine to noon. on 710WOR.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Mark Simone is back on 710WOR. Well, hey, we'll take
- 24:13Speaker 1: some calls coming up. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 24:15Speaker 3: 800-321-0710.
- 24:15Speaker 1: World Series could be over tonight.
- 24:16Speaker 3: It's 3-0.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I got home later last night.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I said, oh, I'm going to watch this game. It's
- 24:19Speaker 1: going to be an exciting game, World Series. I turned
- 24:21Speaker 1: it on. 10-0 in the seventh. All right, it's not
- 24:41Speaker 1: going to be such an exciting game. It turns out
- 24:43Speaker 1: it was the mismatch of the century. But, hey, gas prices.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I'm looking at that. I'm watching CNN. Look at this, CNN.
- 24:52Speaker 1: This is all talking about gas prices, gas prices, gas prices.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Number one issue, gas prices. Nobody has a lower approval
- 24:58Speaker 1: rating with gas prices than President Trump. I hate to
- 25:01Speaker 1: break it to CNN. There has never been an election
- 25:04Speaker 1: in the history of the world where the number one
- 25:06Speaker 1: issue was gas prices. Oh, it's an issue. It annoys people.
- 25:11Speaker 1: especially if you're in a business where you need gasoline
- 25:13Speaker 1: to do your business. But it's not the number one issue.
- 25:16Speaker 1: It never has been. It never will be. It's, again, annoying,
- 25:21Speaker 1: but you don't see everybody running around yelling about gas prices.
- 25:25Speaker 1: It's not the number one issue. Take it as a
- 25:28Speaker 1: tribute to Trump. When they're trying to really get him
- 25:31Speaker 1: on something, all they can come up with is gas prices.
- 25:33Speaker 1: They don't have anything else to hit him with. Otherwise,
- 25:37Speaker 1: economic statistics are phenomenal right now. James Carville, you remember
- 25:42Speaker 1: the old James Carville, that lizard-looking old fossil? He was
- 25:47Speaker 1: like the big Clinton Democratic analyst, but he's now yelling
- 25:53Speaker 1: and screaming. He puts out these videos where he's yelling
- 25:55Speaker 1: and he's screaming at progressives and Democratic socialists. He goes,
- 25:59Speaker 1: you did irreparable damage. You've destroyed the party. You've done
- 26:03Speaker 1: real damage. All right, good. First guy to stand up
- 26:07Speaker 1: to him, but where's Schumer? Where's Hakeem Jeffries on all
- 26:10Speaker 1: of this? Hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Let's go to David in California. David, how you doing?
- 26:19Speaker 3: Hi, Mark. You were talking about the Wall Street Journal yesterday.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gotten pretty bad.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Just wanted to mention really quickly, it's always been two newspapers.
- 26:29Speaker 3: The editorial side's been conservative and the news side has
- 26:33Speaker 3: been very liberal. But here's what's going on.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Well, it's gotten extremely liberal and too much fake news
- 26:40Speaker 1: in there lately. Too many fake stories lately.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Well, but Trump derangement syndrome has taken over the editorial side.
- 26:46Speaker 3: But here's the key to it.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm talking about the news side. News side. I'm talking
- 26:49Speaker 1: about the news side. Too many fake stories in there lately.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Right, but the way the journalists they're hiring are these
- 26:55Speaker 3: students that are so far left. And that's why, well,
- 27:00Speaker 3: you see it in TV news, you see it everywhere.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Well, they don't hire students at the Wall Street Journal.
- 27:04Speaker 1: They hire pretty experienced guys, but it's gone very left,
- 27:06Speaker 1: and they've been caught with too much fake news lately.
- 27:10Speaker 1: You know, if you read some of these things, like the,
- 27:12Speaker 1: believe it or not, they still have a Daily News
- 27:14Speaker 1: in New York. Remember the Daily News? They still print it.
- 27:17Speaker 1: but it's like two interns writing it, you know, so
- 27:19Speaker 1: they just put out a list, top 50 restaurants in
- 27:21Speaker 1: New York. It's the stupidest list you've ever seen because
- 27:24Speaker 1: they got some 22-year-old who's getting $ 75 a week to
- 27:27Speaker 1: put together this list. It's not like the old days
- 27:29Speaker 1: of the Daily News where the top people in their
- 27:32Speaker 1: field are writing. It's just a bunch of, couple of
- 27:34Speaker 1: kids writing the whole thing. Let's go to Chucky in
- 27:38Speaker 1: Stony Brook. Chucky, how you doing?
- 27:40Speaker 3: Hey, Mark. Mark, how are you?
- 27:43Speaker 1: Good to talk to you. Mark, what is on God's green.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Earth What is with Nancy Sinatra?
- 27:48Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 27:49Speaker 3: And her bashing of Trump.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Oh.
- 27:52Speaker 3: She is, but her father would have loved Donald Trump.
- 27:55Speaker 1: No, he hated Trump. He hated, well, I'll tell you what. Trump,
- 27:59Speaker 1: a lot of the Trump personality is taken from Frank Sinatra.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It's the way Frank Sinatra was in real life. When
- 28:04Speaker 1: you hear the way Trump talks to the reporters and
- 28:06Speaker 1: yells and screams at people, calls people, that was Sinatra
- 28:09Speaker 1: in real life. So, he copied a lot of Sinatra's personality,
- 28:14Speaker 1: a lot of it. And then, And that rubbed Mr. Sinatra. No,
- 28:17Speaker 1: what happened was when he got the casinos, he then
- 28:21Speaker 1: decided to hire Frank Sinatra to play the Taj Mahal.
- 28:23Speaker 1: That was the biggest thing he could do in the
- 28:25Speaker 1: casino world. And when he got Sinatra there, he started
- 28:29Speaker 1: doing all this stuff to Sinatra, nickel and diming him and,
- 28:32Speaker 1: you know, trying to screw around with the money. So
- 28:34Speaker 1: Sinatra wouldn't put up with this. So he ended up
- 28:36Speaker 1: hating Trump, hating him.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Wow. Okay.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I thought they were likely. those kids nancy and tina
- 28:43Speaker 1: sinatra very nice but they grew up in beverly hills
- 28:46Speaker 1: high school it was kind of in hollywood you become
- 28:48Speaker 1: very left wing so uh their father hated them and
- 28:52Speaker 1: they're very left which is on that's normal if you
- 28:55Speaker 1: grow up in la but thanks for calling let's go
- 28:58Speaker 1: to uh jerry greenwich connecticut jerry how you doing.
- 29:03Speaker 3: I'm doing well thank you mark I was wondering if
- 29:05Speaker 3: I give a little plug to my good friend Ryan Fazio,
- 29:09Speaker 3: my friend, to vote for him.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're in Connecticut, the governor, Ned Lamont, is
- 29:14Speaker 1: running for his third term. He was pretty good the
- 29:17Speaker 1: first term, not so hot the last term. He went
- 29:19Speaker 1: totally woke and left-wing. Throw him the hell out.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I would like my friend to vote for him. I
- 29:24Speaker 3: like him.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to plug him, and you keep cutting me off.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to promote him. I'm trying to help you here.
- 29:31Speaker 1: And I know Ryan Fazio. He's a great guy. He'll
- 29:33Speaker 1: be a terrific governor. He's a wonderful, honest, decent, common
- 29:37Speaker 1: sense guy. So in Connecticut, vote for Ryan Fazio for governor.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Yeah. I have a sign somewhere alone. It's on North Street,
- 29:48Speaker 3: and I hope that my friends vote for him.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. You live on North Street.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It's one of the most beautiful palatial streets in America.
- 29:55Speaker 1: These people that put up the lawn signs, if you
- 29:57Speaker 1: drive around Connecticut, you see these lawns. What do you think,
- 30:00Speaker 1: that a guy driving by will see a sign and go, oh,
- 30:02Speaker 1: my God, I guess I got to switch my vote.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I got to vote for it. Do you think the
- 30:07Speaker 1: lawn sign actually does anything?
- 30:10Speaker 3: Well, I stood for President Trump. I'm 87 now, and
- 30:16Speaker 3: I was 85, and I stood for 11 days for
- 30:19Speaker 3: President Trump on North Street, cold, rain.
- 30:24Speaker 1: All right, but I just want to say, for all
- 30:25Speaker 1: of you with your lawn signs, throw the lawn sign away.
- 30:27Speaker 1: It's not helping anybody. Get out there. Call the campaign. Volunteer.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Work a phone bank. Go knock on doors. That's going
- 30:33Speaker 1: to help.
- 30:34Speaker 3: At my age, I don't have the strength to do it.
- 30:36Speaker 1: All right. But then you live on North Street. You're
- 30:39Speaker 1: a wealthy guy. Donate. Donate to Ryan Fazio.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Okay. That's what I'll do. Thank you.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Thank you very much, Mark.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 30:46Speaker 1: That's a very important thing. You know, one thing about Democrats,
- 30:48Speaker 1: they're like an army. They're out there like commandos. Republicans,
- 30:53Speaker 1: they hold cocktail parties. They put up lawns. It doesn't help.
- 30:56Speaker 1: It's not doing anything. Get out there. Volunteer on a campaign.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Go to work. Do something. Let's go to Mike in Brooklyn. Mike,
- 31:03Speaker 1: how you doing? Good morning, Mark.
- 31:06Speaker 7: Yesterday during the football game, they were airing an anti-Blakeman commercial,
- 31:10Speaker 7: and all these liberals could come up with is that
- 31:12Speaker 7: he's a Trump supporter. Nothing against policy, nothing like that.
- 31:16Speaker 7: They just don't want you to vote for him because
- 31:17Speaker 7: he's a fan of Trump.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's a good point. You know, the other
- 31:21Speaker 1: thing is they did a hell of a lot of
- 31:23Speaker 1: opposition research on Blakeman. These dirty Democrats, the Hochul, you know,
- 31:29Speaker 1: Dirty tactics. Boy, they did some opposition research on Blakeman.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And you know what they came up with? Nothing. There's
- 31:38Speaker 1: nothing bad about the guy. Nothing in his past. Absolutely nothing.
- 31:42Speaker 1: So the attack ads are all that he's friends with
- 31:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump. You know, Blakeman has been in politics. He's
- 31:47Speaker 1: been in business for 30-something years. Of course he knows
- 31:50Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Blakeman was quite the well-prominent New York figure.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Everybody knows Donald Trump. So He agrees with Trump on
- 31:59Speaker 1: some things, and he disagrees with Trump on some big issues, too.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But that's all they got on him. If they put
- 32:06Speaker 1: an ad on in Monday Night Football, that's an expensive ad.
- 32:10Speaker 1: So if Hochul spent the money to run an attack
- 32:13Speaker 1: ad in Monday Night Football, that means she's panicking. It
- 32:18Speaker 1: means she's seeing the real polls, not the fake college polls,
- 32:21Speaker 1: but the real ones. And that's panic when you spend
- 32:24Speaker 1: that kind of money primetime Monday night football. That's like
- 32:27Speaker 1: the most watched thing of the week. So she's really,
- 32:31Speaker 1: really worried about Blakeman then. She's even got Mom Donnie
- 32:36Speaker 1: out there campaigning for her.
- 32:37Speaker 6: When they're looking at this gubernatorial election, what they're seeing
- 32:41Speaker 6: is that the governor has a clear record and a
- 32:43Speaker 6: clear vision of making life more affordable in the nation's
- 32:46Speaker 6: most expensive city. And Bruce Blakeman's vision is to work
- 32:50Speaker 6: closer with ICE and to create a private militia in
- 32:52Speaker 6: Nassau County.
- 32:55Speaker 1: The private militia, he did set up like in the
- 32:59Speaker 1: case of the highest emergency terrorist attack, he did put
- 33:02Speaker 1: together where ex-cops, ex-military that could be called in as volunteers.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It's like they do in the, you know, a lot
- 33:09Speaker 1: of towns have a volunteer fire department. It's not a militia.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And this part here.
- 33:14Speaker 6: When they're looking at this gubernatorial election, what they're seeing
- 33:18Speaker 6: is that the governor has a clear record and a
- 33:20Speaker 6: clear vision.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's true. He's absolutely right. Kathy Hochul has
- 33:24Speaker 1: a clear record. It's not a good one, but it's clear.
- 33:28Speaker 1: It's pretty clear when you look at it. It's a
- 33:30Speaker 1: terrible record. It's awful, but it's clear. It's so clear.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I've seen clear, but this is really clear. It's clear.
- 33:38Speaker 1: She's no bail, no jail. Let the criminals out. If
- 33:41Speaker 1: you're here illegally and committing crimes, ICE is not allowed
- 33:44Speaker 1: to touch you. She's anti-law enforcement at every level. She
- 33:49Speaker 1: wants to tax you to death. She's the one with
- 33:52Speaker 1: the congestion pricing in every tax rate. She's had 48
- 33:56Speaker 1: increases on your electric bill. She's set down fracking. She's
- 34:00Speaker 1: driven your electric. It's a very, very clear record. It's
- 34:04Speaker 1: as clear as can be. It's horrible, but boy, is
- 34:08Speaker 1: it clear. Hey, we've got a lot coming up. And
- 34:10Speaker 1: don't forget, at noon, Buck and Clay do an excellent
- 34:13Speaker 1: show every day at 12 noon. Then, at 3 o'clock,
- 34:17Speaker 1: Sean Hannity is back. He's been away. Honeymoon. He'll be back.
- 34:25Speaker 1: He'll be talking about all of that today, 3 o'clock.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And then you got Jesse Kelly at 6. You got
- 34:30Speaker 1: the very funny Jimmy Fail. That's a great show. Every
- 34:34Speaker 1: night at 9 here on 710WOR. What's better than two
- 34:39Speaker 1: hours of Marc Simone?
- 34:41Speaker 3: Three.
- 34:41Speaker 1: The Marc Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 34:46Speaker 3: 710WOR.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Well, hey, remember we were talking about the Super Bowl
- 34:54Speaker 1: halftime show. They have a little committee that picks the
- 34:58Speaker 1: halftime entertainment. Jay-Z runs the committee. A lot of people
- 35:03Speaker 1: not too happy with the last few choices. Bad Bunny
- 35:06Speaker 1: was a little controversial. It was a pretty good show,
- 35:09Speaker 1: but they've come up with this year's halftime entertainment. They've
- 35:15Speaker 1: selected Jay-Z. Now, You say, well, wait a minute, was
- 35:20Speaker 1: he the head of the selection committee? Yes, and he's
- 35:23Speaker 1: selected himself. He has said to himself, nobody in the
- 35:27Speaker 1: world is as good as me, so it'll be me.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Kind of how Dick Cheney became vice president. But remember,
- 35:34Speaker 1: he was in charge of selecting a vice president. Picked himself.
- 35:37Speaker 1: But listen, Jay-Z's as big and as good as anybody
- 35:40Speaker 1: you're going to get, so why not? It's the Apple
- 35:43Speaker 1: Music Super Bowl halftime show. LXI. What the hell is LXI?
- 35:49Speaker 1: That would be 61. 61st Super Bowl this year. Hey,
- 35:53Speaker 1: it's going to be a beautiful sunny day. A little
- 35:55Speaker 1: kind of cold, but a beautiful sunny autumn day. We
- 35:58Speaker 1: got two more hours to go and a lot of
- 36:00Speaker 1: stuff to get to. And we'll do that right after
- 36:03Speaker 1: the news. Mark Simone here on 710WOR.
