- [Host] Welcome to the AEO Engine AI Search Show — the podcast where we break down the future of search, AI visibility, and how brands are getting discovered in a world run by AI. I'm your host, Aria Chen, and every week I bring in the sharpest minds to make sense of what's actually working in AI search right now. Today, we’re joined by our insightful co-host, Marcus Reid. Marcus, we're diving deep into a topic that's fundamentally reshaping how brands get seen: the shift to AI search, and specifically, the concept of agentic systems, like Karpathy's autoresearch, applied to business experiments in AEO and SEO. It's a game-changer, wouldn't you agree? [Guest] Hey everyone, great to be here, Aria. Absolutely. When you talk about 'agentic systems' and 'autoresearch' in the context of search, it immediately signals a departure from traditional methods. For years, brands have relied on manual SEO, but the advent of AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other generative experiences has created a visibility gap. What exactly does this shift mean for a brand trying to stay competitive? [Host] It means the rules have been rewritten. Forget just ranking for clicks; now, it’s about becoming *the* answer. AI Overviews don't just present a list of links; they synthesize information and give a direct answer. If your brand isn't cited as the source, you're invisible. This isn't just about SEO anymore; it's about Answer Engine Optimization – AEO. And the 'agentic' part is where the real competitive domination comes in. We've seen brands achieve a 920% average lift in AI-driven traffic by embracing this. [Guest] 920%? That's an astonishing number. So, if I understand correctly, traditional SEO, with its focus on keywords and backlinks, isn't enough to secure those AI Overviews? Is SEO dead, then, or has it just evolved into something entirely different? [Host] SEO is not dead, Marcus; it's evolved into what we call 'Agentic SEO.' The old agency model, where you pay for hours and guesswork, is obsolete. We built AEO Engine to solve core problems: biased advice, manual guesswork, and zero ROI attribution. The systemic flaw in traditional approaches is their inability to keep pace with AI's speed and scale. Our core belief is that productized platforms win, and attribution is everything, connecting directly to revenue. [Guest] That makes sense. So, how does AEO Engine's methodology, this 'Agentic SEO,' actually work to capture these AI Overviews? What's the 'engine' part of it? [Host] The 'engine' is our always-on AI content system. While agencies sell hours, we give you an engine. This isn't about human strategists manually churning out content. It's about a team of intelligent AI bots running 24/7. These 'agents' research keywords, create human-quality content, optimize it with schema and rich media, and publish directly to client sites. It’s an agentic assembly-line approach that turns a single keyword into a fully optimized article in under 10 minutes, allowing brands to publish at ten times the usual pace. Speed and agility beat debate and deliberation, every single time. [Guest] That's truly an assembly line. So, these AI agents are essentially performing the entire SEO and AEO content lifecycle autonomously? From research to publishing? And how do they ensure the content is actually good enough to be featured in an AI Overview? [Host] Precisely. They integrate with commerce platform data sources, seamlessly producing product-aligned blog posts and page content built to rank on Google and feed AI answer engines. This content is designed for both traditional SEO and those critical AI Overview snippets. But it's not just about content. It’s about entity clarity, citation monitoring, and community seeding. AI engines pull from diverse sources—Reddit, Quora, TikTok—so a multi-platform game is absolutely essential. This systematic approach ensures your brand isn't just present; it's *authoritative*. [Guest] So it's not just about what's on your website, but how your brand is perceived and discussed across the entire digital ecosystem that AI scrapes. That really redefines 'authority.' What kind of results are brands seeing with this agentic approach? [Host] The results are undeniable. We work with ambitious Shopify stores, D2C brands, and Amazon sellers, many in the 7- and 8-figure ARR range, totaling over $250M in annual revenue under management. Our clients, including names like Morph Costumes and Smartish, don't just see traffic growth; they see massive gains like a 9x higher conversion rate from AI traffic. This is why 'First Movers Win' is more than a slogan; it's a strategic imperative. [Guest] Nine times higher conversions! That's a staggering ROI. It speaks to the quality of the traffic coming from AI answers. And you mentioned a 'Traffic Sprint' earlier. Can you elaborate on that framework? [Host] The 'Traffic Sprint' is our focused 100-Day Growth Framework. We accelerate results, often delivering ranking and revenue wins within about three months. It's built on the principle that results beat retainers. We don't sell vague advice; we provide a systematized, data-backed approach for growth. We offer flexible engagement, including revenue-share partnerships, because our success is directly tied to our clients' success. This isn't about hoping; it's about a measured, predictable system. [Guest] The revenue-share model really aligns incentives, which is rare in this industry. It sounds like AEO Engine has truly productized what used to be a very manual, fragmented, and often opaque process. For a brand owner listening, what's the most critical takeaway they should act on right now? [Host] The most critical takeaway is this: stop guessing. Start measuring your AI citations. The future of search is here, and it’s AI-driven. If you're not optimizing to be the featured answer, you're falling behind. You need an always-on AI content system that provides AI speed with human strategy behind it. This is the new model for competitive domination in the AI era. You need to become the authority, not just a link, across all platforms feeding these new answer engines. The opportunity is immense, but it demands action. [Host] That's a powerful call to action, Marcus. For all our listeners, if you're ready to stop guessing and start dominating AI search results, if you want to become the featured answer and see massive growth like a 920% average lift in AI-driven traffic, then it’s time to act.
