Latest / Tea Time w/Amie & Bev / Episode #280: Fixer vs. Hero
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to tea time with Amy and Beb.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We are back.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hello.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hello. So I had something come up when we were
- 0:13Speaker 1: doing the first recording. I had something come up of
- 0:19Speaker 1: it's along the lines of being a fixer, but it
- 0:21Speaker 1: was a different energy to it, and I'm not quite sure. Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: it's still quantum, not like thinking about all the time.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It's still contemplating the difference. It is a different it's
- 0:33Speaker 1: like a subtle energy difference. But the only thing I
- 0:37Speaker 1: can keep coming back to is it's still the same.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So being a fixer, right, we want to fix everything,
- 0:47Speaker 1: so everybody's okay, and the waters are calm, and I
- 0:50Speaker 1: feel better because you feel better, and all the things right. Recently,
- 0:57Speaker 1: what came up for me was being the hero, and
- 1:05Speaker 1: it was like, I want to take the burden off
- 1:12Speaker 1: of somebody so they don't feel as heavy I'm and
- 1:17Speaker 1: I'm just trying to articulate this out loud so they
- 1:22Speaker 1: don't feel so scrambled and trying to figure things out.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And I have information and knowledge where I could figure
- 1:31Speaker 1: it out probably a little quicker, but then that's adding
- 1:36Speaker 1: more stuff to my plate. Where now I have to
- 1:39Speaker 1: choose do I take care of this, or do I
- 1:42Speaker 1: let somebody else take care of it, or they're going
- 1:46Speaker 1: to figure it out the way it's going to figure out,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and I get to still do the things that are
- 1:51Speaker 1: been pending waiting for me to take care of. Right,
- 1:55Speaker 1: So it's like being the hero. What does that mean?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Is it like like a look at me, I did
- 2:04Speaker 1: this and I saved the day, and like, I just
- 2:07Speaker 1: think about a hero, right, they just stand up proud
- 2:09Speaker 1: and tall and smile and feel good about it. Whereas
- 2:14Speaker 1: so maybe this is the process the fixer is fixing things,
- 2:22Speaker 1: but it's like a heavier emotion as they're moving through it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I didn't feel the heavy emotion like like burden, Like
- 2:30Speaker 1: I didn't feel like, oh my gosh, one more thing
- 2:34Speaker 1: I got to take care of. It was oh, I
- 2:38Speaker 1: could do this right, and look at me and all that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: So I'm still in this in the process of it.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's right now. This conversation is just trying to define
- 2:51Speaker 1: the differences between the hero and the fixer. But I
- 2:56Speaker 1: recognized it. When I recognize the word hero, I got
- 3:00Speaker 1: a pen and paper and start writing it out, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: I'm like, I do not have to be the hero.
- 3:05Speaker 1: This is not my responsibility. This is going to work
- 3:10Speaker 1: out the way it needs to work out, and I
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't have to be the one to do it. Like
- 3:13Speaker 1: I had to reel myself in and write it out
- 3:19Speaker 1: and be like, I don't have to take care of everything.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It's not mine.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, But when you're describing this, it's almost as if
- 3:27Speaker 2: the superhero Cape says fixture on it, right, and it's like,
- 3:34Speaker 2: that's not any of those things. And then your response,
- 3:37Speaker 2: the way you just answered everything was almost like your
- 3:40Speaker 2: higher self saying, no, you don't need to do anything,
- 3:41Speaker 2: because that's how it feels when we're having this conversation.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You don't need to do anything. But which wasn't the
- 3:46Speaker 2: conversation was just noticing between the hero because I think
- 3:50Speaker 2: we all should stand, we should all be so confident
- 3:52Speaker 2: and so proud and hold ourselves in such a way
- 3:56Speaker 2: as a superhero would, but not to the point of
- 3:59Speaker 2: being the hero of the addiction, right, being addicted to
- 4:01Speaker 2: saving people, because that's I don't know, there's such a
- 4:05Speaker 2: fine linement between dass. For me, there was the fixer
- 4:09Speaker 2: and then part of the hero, and then there was
- 4:11Speaker 2: part of the addiction. For me, like even with massage,
- 4:13Speaker 2: because I know that I could help somebody. I knew
- 4:16Speaker 2: I could fix it. That's exactly how it felt. I'm
- 4:19Speaker 2: the superhero. I can do this, I can do anything,
- 4:23Speaker 2: even if that wasn't what somebody was asking, but I
- 4:27Speaker 2: knew that I could because they would say, so, oh no,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I've been I've been dealing with that for years. Don't
- 4:32Speaker 2: even worry about it until the pain's gone. Right. But
- 4:36Speaker 2: it's like, that's a that's a that's a different space
- 4:42Speaker 2: to be in. Really.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So the one thing that stands out, and I said
- 4:47Speaker 1: it just a second ago, is that so the fixer,
- 4:52Speaker 1: the way I think about a fixer is uncomfortably going
- 4:58Speaker 1: out of their way. So if you came to me
- 5:00Speaker 1: and said, hey, I can't pay my electric bill and
- 5:04Speaker 1: can I borrow some money, and I'm like, yeah, sure, right,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and then you come back to me in the next month.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know what, I can't pay my electric bill. Can
- 5:12Speaker 1: I borrow some money? Well, you haven't paid me for
- 5:15Speaker 1: the first time. But now I'm like, well, I don't
- 5:17Speaker 1: want her to I don't want her to suffer. I
- 5:19Speaker 1: want her to be comfortable in her house. I know
- 5:21Speaker 1: electricity super important, so sure, here's and then you come
- 5:27Speaker 1: back to me a third time, and now I'm starting
- 5:29Speaker 1: to feel like, what the hell, why aren't you paying
- 5:34Speaker 1: your bills? And why haven't you paid me back? Like
- 5:37Speaker 1: there's resentment and then anger that starts to build, where
- 5:41Speaker 1: with the hero, it's like, all right, I did this,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and this felt good and I feel proud because I
- 5:47Speaker 1: was able to do it. That's the only difference that
- 5:50Speaker 1: I can sense in this sensation of the difference between
- 5:57Speaker 1: a hero and a fixer, And I think that just
- 6:01Speaker 1: depends on how you define it, you know what I mean.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Each person is going to walk through this a little
- 6:06Speaker 2: bit differently because we all have different perspectives of our
- 6:09Speaker 2: processes that, you know, different growth, different childhoods, you know,
- 6:13Speaker 2: all these different things, so we see things a little
- 6:15Speaker 2: bit differently. So it's fascinating, but.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's interesting, right because we we had just been the
- 6:22Speaker 1: only thing I would have ever thought was fixer, fixer, fixer, fixer.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But to me, I feel like the fixer could be
- 6:29Speaker 2: the super superhero too, because it just depends on the
- 6:34Speaker 2: defining factor would be where are you coming from when
- 6:36Speaker 2: you're doing the fixing, Because even if that person came
- 6:38Speaker 2: back three times, if you're coming from a space, you know,
- 6:41Speaker 2: no matter, but we do a disservice right for that
- 6:50Speaker 2: person because the person's got it, just like we're talking
- 6:52Speaker 2: about this other person. They've got to walk their own paths.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Just like with my grandkids and my daughter, my granddaughter
- 6:57Speaker 2: and the last one. I want my my, I don't
- 7:01Speaker 2: want my I don't want them hurting, So I'll tell
- 7:03Speaker 2: them I'm sorry, I'm sorry you're hurting because I don't.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I would rather than they not be hurting. But it's
- 7:07Speaker 2: out of my control. It's not this is not for
- 7:09Speaker 2: me to fix anymore. So, like there's so much stuff
- 7:11Speaker 2: that's going on, so much. A superhero to me could
- 7:14Speaker 2: be the person that's paid. You know, no, I can't
- 7:17Speaker 2: do it, but all of a sudden, her bill's paid.
- 7:18Speaker 2: She doesn't have to know it because he was anonymous.
- 7:20Speaker 2: You know, that's a superhero. So it's like, it's God,
- 7:23Speaker 2: we could go a million different directions with that. Really.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an interesting thought though, because this is new
- 7:31Speaker 1: to me too. It's why I'm bringing it up. I'm like,
- 7:34Speaker 1: all right, well, what what's what's really the difference? And
- 7:39Speaker 1: then just to me, it just keeps coming back to
- 7:43Speaker 1: how it feels the energy of it. Yeah, and of
- 7:46Speaker 1: course I yeah, being a fixer had a whole different
- 7:52Speaker 1: connotation to it as far as my history and how
- 7:56Speaker 1: that was programmed into me, and and it was actually
- 8:00Speaker 1: being a fixer is more along the lines to me
- 8:04Speaker 1: as I look back, is an obligation. If you think
- 8:09Speaker 1: about culture, and I'm like the Hispanic culture, they are
- 8:15Speaker 1: very family oriented and you take care of your family
- 8:18Speaker 1: no matter what, and that's that's like huge fixer. I've
- 8:26Speaker 1: been coaching a girl who is Hispanic and she has
- 8:30Speaker 1: struggles with money, like nobody's business because it's in their culture.
- 8:37Speaker 1: If you have money, it's not your money, it's everybody's money,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and everybody gets to use that money, even though you're
- 8:44Speaker 1: the one that worked for it. So to me, that's like,
- 8:52Speaker 1: that's much heavier, heavier energy around fixer than around Hero.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Hero feels light lighter and a sense of pride and
- 9:03Speaker 1: a sense of joy, but it's still it's still You're right,
- 9:09Speaker 1: it's like a fine line up between the two depending
- 9:12Speaker 1: on how you.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway, that's one of the main things I've processed
- 9:19Speaker 1: since we've last met, and again, took a pen and
- 9:22Speaker 1: paper and just wrote it out and like, this is
- 9:24Speaker 1: not my job, this is not my place, this is
- 9:28Speaker 1: not my responsibility. And that was the big word, was responsibility.
- 9:33Speaker 1: This is not my responsibility to swoop in and do
- 9:37Speaker 1: all of this stuff and then suffer on the other
- 9:40Speaker 1: side with everything that's already sitting there for me to do. So, yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I had to talk myself down on that.
- 9:46Speaker 2: One makes sense just to kind of kind of say
- 9:51Speaker 2: it about space, and then my mind wants to say,
- 9:54Speaker 2: let's draw, let's let's not even have the labels. Go
- 9:57Speaker 2: back to the whole thing of where's your focus coming
- 10:00Speaker 2: through when we're doing any of these things, because because
- 10:03Speaker 2: our intuition is going to guide us one hundred percent
- 10:06Speaker 2: exactly what needs to be done in any moment, we
- 10:08Speaker 2: just need to listen to it without the our old
- 10:11Speaker 2: patterns leading the show.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Interesting, right, it is.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Life is interesting.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's if we were talking recently. So, this whole process
- 10:27Speaker 2: of putting stuff on the TikTok, I've had to look
- 10:30Speaker 2: back at videos and I'm like, what in the hell
- 10:33Speaker 2: was I even saying or like not complaining. So I'm
- 10:37Speaker 2: working on this and refining my voice. But I've also
- 10:42Speaker 2: recognized I've had a blockage in my throat for such
- 10:46Speaker 2: a long time that this is part of the process
- 10:48Speaker 2: of how it's coming through. So I'm just allowing the process.
- 10:53Speaker 2: But throughout all this process, I totally like, since April,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I've second guessed everything out myself, which is good. It's
- 11:02Speaker 2: not a bad place to be. And it doesn't feel
- 11:04Speaker 2: good because it feels like nothing is familiar, nothing is
- 11:08Speaker 2: right because everything has changed. Everything has changed, and it's
- 11:13Speaker 2: like channeling. I went back and saw some of those
- 11:15Speaker 2: videos that I was putting on and I was talking
- 11:17Speaker 2: about channeling or something like that. I paid attention to
- 11:19Speaker 2: my energy in these videos too, because some of them
- 11:22Speaker 2: was like, oh, that was great. I'd be sitting watching
- 11:23Speaker 2: us and I'd be laughing because of what we were saying,
- 11:26Speaker 2: because it was just it felt good, the energy felt good.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And then there was other ones that were so I
- 11:33Speaker 2: was so rigid that I didn't even know that I
- 11:36Speaker 2: was that rigid, And how would I know until I
- 11:38Speaker 2: got to this point where I'm not as rigid as
- 11:41Speaker 2: I was then. Yeah, So there's been a lot of
- 11:44Speaker 2: growth to happen. But it's like I recognized the videos
- 11:46Speaker 2: that popped up for me to listen to were messages
- 11:49Speaker 2: for me from us, which was freaking phenomenal, and it
- 11:52Speaker 2: started talking about the channeling again, and I realized how
- 11:55Speaker 2: I would sit down with us and have these conversations.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I'd be like, Okay, Creator speak through me, you know,
- 12:03Speaker 2: you know what we need to hear or what whoever
- 12:05Speaker 2: needs to hear while they're listening to it. And I wasn't.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I haven't been doing that since April, since all this
- 12:10Speaker 2: stuff in my Maybe it was a little bit before that.
- 12:12Speaker 2: So I've kind of found and then we can go
- 12:16Speaker 2: back to this conversation. You're talking about being the hero
- 12:18Speaker 2: or fixer. It's not related, but it's the same thing
- 12:21Speaker 2: as far as one thing having one meaning or having
- 12:24Speaker 2: another meaning. It's like, why am I doing it? What
- 12:26Speaker 2: am I doing it for? Why am I being drawn
- 12:29Speaker 2: to this? So it's like, so that my ego is
- 12:30Speaker 2: not running this show because I don't want my ego
- 12:32Speaker 2: running the show. I love all parts of me, but
- 12:35Speaker 2: my ego has limitations and I have access to limitless information,
- 12:43Speaker 2: just like we all do. And until I put my
- 12:47Speaker 2: focus into that space again, I didn't recognize it was there,
- 12:52Speaker 2: which is I found interesting. It was always there. I
- 12:55Speaker 2: just closed the door on it, because if I, if I,
- 12:59Speaker 2: if none of this other stuff mattered, how could any
- 13:02Speaker 2: of this fit into this space? And it goes back
- 13:05Speaker 2: to me not how many times we probably find some
- 13:08Speaker 2: videos if I wanted to, of us having conversations and
- 13:12Speaker 2: you're talking about doing this growth work and me like, no,
- 13:14Speaker 2: you don't have to go dig in this stuff. Well,
- 13:16Speaker 2: you don't have to go dig in it. But I
- 13:18Speaker 2: was trying to just do one thing. I just was
- 13:21Speaker 2: focused on the spirituality. But I wasn't focused on having
- 13:24Speaker 2: balance with all these emotions and all this stuff. Going
- 13:27Speaker 2: back to our last video that's been compartmentalized, put in boxes,
- 13:31Speaker 2: shoved aside that I didn't know was there until it
- 13:34Speaker 2: starts coming up. And the only way we can the
- 13:37Speaker 2: only way that I've been able to even facilitate that
- 13:40Speaker 2: is by walking around and talking to myself, Oh, that's interesting.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Why are you having that? Why are you having an
- 13:45Speaker 2: attitude about this right now? Or why are you having
- 13:47Speaker 2: an emotional attachment? Or what's this about? What does it
- 13:50Speaker 2: matter what he's doing right now? What does it matter
- 13:52Speaker 2: that she's doing right now? And then it's like I
- 13:55Speaker 2: go through this process and so there's so much growth
- 13:57Speaker 2: that's happening that I I don't know why I want
- 14:00Speaker 2: wandered off onto that, but I don't know. It's just
- 14:04Speaker 2: been curious this healing and how the healing has shown
- 14:06Speaker 2: up in so many different ways. It's not one way
- 14:08Speaker 2: or another, it's a million different ways. So I've enjoyed it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: So back to the whole TikTok thing. So sharing all
- 14:15Speaker 2: that information, I was like, holy crap, I liked it
- 14:18Speaker 2: better when I was when I felt like I was connected.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And I can feel the difference by looking back at
- 14:23Speaker 2: the videos that we've had, I could feel the difference.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I could feel how some felt great and some just
- 14:28Speaker 2: didn't feel so good.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So we do more of what feels good, that's right,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and keeping in mind that every time we sit and record,
- 14:38Speaker 1: it's where we're at at that time. Yeah, at that time,
- 14:41Speaker 1: it made sense. At that time, that's what you could understand,
- 14:44Speaker 1: that's what you could process, that's what you could relate to.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And now months later, weeks later, years later, you look
- 14:54Speaker 1: at a video and you're like, what in the world
- 14:56Speaker 1: was I thinking? Because who you were then is it
- 14:59Speaker 1: who you are now? Because you've done so much growth
- 15:01Speaker 1: in between. So when you're looking back at those videos,
- 15:05Speaker 1: it's just like, you know what, I see you and
- 15:07Speaker 1: I honor you for where you were at that time. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and that's what worked at that time and now here
- 15:13Speaker 1: we are. So now we talk about now and what
- 15:16Speaker 1: we're going through now. It's like this hero fixer thing
- 15:21Speaker 1: just came up, like two weeks ago. I would not
- 15:25Speaker 1: have been able to even think about processing that a
- 15:29Speaker 1: year ago. Probably, like Spirit gives us what we can
- 15:33Speaker 1: handle at the time. That's my belief, and Spirit's like, Okay,
- 15:37Speaker 1: now you know what a fixer's like, and now you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: stepping into this whole nother role that feels a little different,
- 15:42Speaker 1: but it's still the same. So let's recognize that so
- 15:46Speaker 1: we can grow through that. And what I as you
- 15:49Speaker 1: were talking is so funny. As you were talking, I
- 15:56Speaker 1: was like, hero, ah, what's been going on lately? Well?
- 16:04Speaker 1: I have since since I in the position i'm at,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I've gotten a lot of kudos over the past year
- 16:12Speaker 1: for what I've brought to the table at my job.
- 16:16Speaker 1: And it's almost on a weekly basis, I'm not kidding you,
- 16:19Speaker 1: on a weekly base people are like, oh my gosh,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you've done so much. Thank you. So much, you know
- 16:23Speaker 1: you and and it's just all these kudos all the time.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So then as you were talking, you said ego and
- 16:33Speaker 1: I was like, oh, look at that. My ego is
- 16:37Speaker 1: getting off Levy because I'm a hero man Finn.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Right, So now it's like, okay, let's recognize that and
- 16:46Speaker 1: let's be able to hone in on the energy. But
- 16:48Speaker 1: let's just you don't need the kudos from other people
- 16:52Speaker 1: to feel good about yourself.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So look, let's look at this a little bit differently.
- 16:58Speaker 2: From my perspective. I say that spirits training you because
- 17:04Speaker 2: you're getting ready to go into another space, another energy,
- 17:08Speaker 2: and you are going to get the kudos. And it
- 17:10Speaker 2: is for you not to get lost on the ego.
- 17:11Speaker 2: And that goes for all of us. It's to not
- 17:13Speaker 2: get lost on the ego thing, because it is nice.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Come on, when we were a little kids, it was
- 17:18Speaker 2: a nice one. Someone said to us, Amy, you did
- 17:20Speaker 2: a great job, bab you were great. You guys are
- 17:22Speaker 2: so smart, like you guys are amazing. I don't know
- 17:25Speaker 2: if that ever happened to me, but I can just
- 17:26Speaker 2: tell you that's the stuff that feels good because I
- 17:28Speaker 2: do it with my kids. But now we're training them
- 17:31Speaker 2: to be like excited for this little nugget, you know,
- 17:35Speaker 2: this attention. But you're in a space now you're not
- 17:39Speaker 2: that child anymore, and you're able to process and understand
- 17:43Speaker 2: that you're being guided. This is part of you recognizing
- 17:49Speaker 2: it was this is part of your journey to have
- 17:52Speaker 2: an understanding about what it is like to be a
- 17:55Speaker 2: hero versus what it is like to be a hero
- 17:59Speaker 2: or a fixer. And then go on to something, Hey,
- 18:03Speaker 2: when I got married, I when I got married, they
- 18:05Speaker 2: said for richer, for poor, and I said for richer
- 18:07Speaker 2: or richard, and I was like, no, I didn't. But
- 18:08Speaker 2: so here we are anyways. But I feel like you've
- 18:14Speaker 2: been You're just being guided. You're being guided because we
- 18:17Speaker 2: don't because we're the people. I'm not saying that nobody
- 18:21Speaker 2: else is. I'm saying lots of people are out there
- 18:22Speaker 2: like that. We can all get lost, but it's not.
- 18:25Speaker 2: That's not what we came here for. It wasn't to
- 18:27Speaker 2: get lost in that part of the journey, but it
- 18:29Speaker 2: is to have an understanding that we thank you for
- 18:33Speaker 2: appreciating me. But the one that matters the most, that
- 18:35Speaker 2: appreciates me is me. I've got to appreciate me, Otherwise
- 18:39Speaker 2: I'm becoming addicted to something else again outside of me.
- 18:42Speaker 2: So that's why it's so important for us to pay
- 18:44Speaker 2: attention and then we show up from the space of
- 18:46Speaker 2: love because we're not being controlled by this because then
- 18:49Speaker 2: then you go home at the end of a let's
- 18:51Speaker 2: say that you're on the stage and you're you had
- 18:53Speaker 2: a big day, and you go home and it's like, gosh,
- 18:56Speaker 2: nobody's told me thank you today, or nobody said anything,
- 18:59Speaker 2: or you know that it ruins your day or it could.
- 19:02Speaker 2: It doesn't have to, but sometimes it feels like that.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I mean, I've walked through those kind of places. I've
- 19:06Speaker 2: I've had some learning from groups, so it's like, yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 2: I totally get it. I totally get it. I see you,
- 19:15Speaker 2: thank you, and you are amazing, but you But but
- 19:20Speaker 2: the thing is, someone else could tell you that over
- 19:22Speaker 2: and over and over again. And if you don't think
- 19:24Speaker 2: it's the same, think of it, think of it that
- 19:26Speaker 2: way about yourself. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks
- 19:30Speaker 2: about you, because you don't feel like you don't allow
- 19:32Speaker 2: yourself to receive right.
- 19:35Speaker 1: And I have practice for a very very very long time,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and I teach others that when somebody gives you a gift,
- 19:43Speaker 1: you say thank you. And these people lately who have
- 19:46Speaker 1: been keep giving me kudos. I am. I am standing
- 19:50Speaker 1: in that when they say something and I say thank you,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I don't go, oh, no, you know, it's not a
- 19:56Speaker 1: big deal. Oh you know what, it's I do not
- 19:59Speaker 1: do that. And that's one thing I do recognize about myself.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm like, well, thank you, thank you for the acknowledgment, thank.
- 20:06Speaker 2: You for I appreciate that.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Like I mean, I'm genuinely feeling that, like in my
- 20:13Speaker 1: body that it's okay to receive that gift of a compliment.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But when you were talking what I what I was
- 20:20Speaker 1: like thinking was so specific, not specifically, but most common
- 20:29Speaker 1: for women, full time job, right, and then over here
- 20:34Speaker 1: you have the house, so you're a cleaner, you're a maid,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're a chef, you're a bookkeeper, you're the childcare person.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Like you have all these roles and a full time
- 20:48Speaker 1: job and not getting recognized for any of it. Like
- 20:52Speaker 1: it's the mundane routine thing that you do every single day.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You get up and these are your tasks every single day,
- 20:59Speaker 1: and nobody says thank you. Nobody says, hey, you're doing
- 21:02Speaker 1: a good job. Nobody acknowledges you for all the things
- 21:05Speaker 1: that you take on every single day, and we get
- 21:10Speaker 1: resemful about that. I will say I did get you again,
- 21:14Speaker 1: going back to resentment and anger, because you just have
- 21:16Speaker 1: all these responsibilities piled on you and you're the you
- 21:19Speaker 1: seem to be the only responsible person in the household. Well,
- 21:23Speaker 1: when somebody is recognizing you for the good things that
- 21:27Speaker 1: you're doing and you're getting those acknowledgments, it is a
- 21:31Speaker 1: practice to be able to say thank you and not
- 21:34Speaker 1: sluff it off or oh you don't have to say
- 21:38Speaker 1: that or anything like that. It feels good and so
- 21:41Speaker 1: I think that too. I'm recognizing that as well. Is
- 21:47Speaker 1: how is it feeling to receive these compliments, which are
- 21:50Speaker 1: gifts because people want to do things for you that
- 21:54Speaker 1: help them feel good, so you feel good. They want
- 22:00Speaker 1: you to feel good and so and it helps them
- 22:04Speaker 1: feel good to help you feel good. And so that's
- 22:07Speaker 1: just by saying thank you, thank you for that, Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I appreciate I appreciate your comment, thank you, yeah, and.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Just jump on the feeling. Just jump on the appreciation
- 22:16Speaker 2: train exactly, because then you're both raising the vibrational frequency.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And I have for so long like negated compliments. I've
- 22:25Speaker 2: always found another reason. Oh well, and I and I'm
- 22:29Speaker 2: I'm a bit better. I'm not a lot better. I'm
- 22:31Speaker 2: not one hundred percent better. I still catch myself doing it,
- 22:34Speaker 2: but I find myself. It'll be nice when I can
- 22:37Speaker 2: get to the point where I don't hesitate or I
- 22:38Speaker 2: don't think anything at all and I just say thank you.
- 22:41Speaker 2: But I'm working on it.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's a work in progress, to let me
- 22:45Speaker 1: tell you.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well that's what's awesome because we see
- 22:54Speaker 2: both of us grow.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and they And if you've been with
- 23:00Speaker 1: us for the past five years, you've seen all our stages.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I guess you have.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's been a lot.
- 23:08Speaker 2: It has been a lot. I'm kind of glad to
- 23:11Speaker 2: be where I'm at right now, even though my office
- 23:13Speaker 2: is in a disarray. But I'm still like where I'm
- 23:16Speaker 2: at right now.
