- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, Welcome to the Inside the Birds NFL Week eight
- 0:13Speaker 1: preview show. I'm Jeff Mosher, and it's a very interesting
- 0:18Speaker 1: week week gate in the NFL. You got a couple
- 0:21Speaker 1: of teams here that really need to snap out of
- 0:25Speaker 1: it and get going, and most of them are in
- 0:29Speaker 1: the AFC. Some of them are injury related as far
- 0:35Speaker 1: as they need to snap out of it and get
- 0:36Speaker 1: back on the winning track because injuries have derailed them
- 0:40Speaker 1: and this is the week that they're going to have
- 0:42Speaker 1: to start to make their move as we approach the
- 0:45Speaker 1: midpoint of the NFL season. I'm talking about teams like
- 0:50Speaker 1: the Ravens, the one and five Ravens, who should get
- 0:54Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson back and that will obviously be a big,
- 0:59Speaker 1: big addition to their team, but they've got to win
- 1:02Speaker 1: their games. They have a tough matchup. We'll talk about it.
- 1:06Speaker 1: You know, the Bengals are now have Joe Flaco, who
- 1:09Speaker 1: is trying to bridge the gap for whenever Joe Burrow
- 1:12Speaker 1: can come back later this year, and they're trying to
- 1:15Speaker 1: stay alive. They got their win over the Steelers in
- 1:19Speaker 1: Flaco's debut, but they are three and four and you know,
- 1:23Speaker 1: they're trying to stay alive. These are teams that don't
- 1:26Speaker 1: want to pawn off players at the deadline. They want
- 1:29Speaker 1: to get better, they want to improve from their health
- 1:32Speaker 1: and be a part of it. And nobody's really out
- 1:35Speaker 1: of it in the AFC North, and so the Bengals
- 1:38Speaker 1: are hoping that with the Flacco at quarterback that they
- 1:43Speaker 1: can get involved too. Right now, I can't believe we're
- 1:47Speaker 1: saying this right. Nobody had this going into the year.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Right now, the Indianapolis Colts are by far the team
- 1:55Speaker 1: to beat in the AFC. They're six and one, they
- 1:59Speaker 1: look like the best team in the NFL. They have
- 2:01Speaker 1: the best record in the NFL, and they've been dominant
- 2:05Speaker 1: on both sides of the football. And you've got teams
- 2:10Speaker 1: like the Patriots at five and two and the Broncos
- 2:12Speaker 1: at five and two. The Chargers got back and again injuries,
- 2:17Speaker 1: right The Chargers got Joe alt back, they got Trey
- 2:19Speaker 1: Pipkins back, and all of a sudden, justin Herbert and
- 2:24Speaker 1: even without a Mariy and Hampton's throwing the ball, they're
- 2:27Speaker 1: moving the chains against the Vikings. And the Vikings back
- 2:31Speaker 1: to the injury point, they can't wait to get j J.
- 2:34Speaker 1: McCarthy back in the way Carson Wentz was getting beat up.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But injuries are playing a role in how the conferences
- 2:42Speaker 1: are shaping up, how the teams take the Commanders. You know,
- 2:46Speaker 1: we talk about the Ravens getting Lamar Jackson back, Well,
- 2:49Speaker 1: the Commanders aren't going to have Jayde Daniels again. Dallas
- 2:52Speaker 1: Cowboys got Cede lamback and you saw that their offense
- 2:55Speaker 1: again took off. So injury are big. But in the AFC,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's been the most surprising conference of the two and
- 3:04Speaker 1: a surprising season. Because the Chiefs are at four and three,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I think that they're about to make their move, but
- 3:10Speaker 1: they certainly have not been a dominant team. The Steelers
- 3:13Speaker 1: are four and two, have not been the dominant team.
- 3:16Speaker 1: The Jaguars really have fallen off after their great starts.
- 3:21Speaker 1: So you're looking around at the AFC. The Bills are
- 3:25Speaker 1: going to come out of there by this week on
- 3:26Speaker 1: a two game losing streak. They're actually behind by percentage
- 3:31Speaker 1: points the Patriots, who they lost to in the AFC East.
- 3:36Speaker 1: So it's easy to sit here and say that the
- 3:40Speaker 1: AAFC East has a completely new look that you're not
- 3:43Speaker 1: talking about the Chiefs and you're not talking about the Bills,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and you're not talking about the Ravens, and instead you're
- 3:50Speaker 1: looking at the Colts and you're looking at Patriots and
- 3:54Speaker 1: Broncos as the class. But that's where I think that
- 3:58Speaker 1: you might say that now, but by the end of
- 4:03Speaker 1: the year we might be talking telling a different story.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm not just sold that those three teams that I
- 4:08Speaker 1: mentioned are just ready to fly the coupon. It's it's
- 4:11Speaker 1: totally new AFC. But with that being said, we have
- 4:15Speaker 1: a lot of interesting games this week to get to
- 4:19Speaker 1: and already the Chargers I just mentioned, they've really stomped
- 4:23Speaker 1: on the Vikings. They got to five and three, so
- 4:27Speaker 1: they are making their move with two straight wins again
- 4:30Speaker 1: as they get healthier, and the Vikings have to go
- 4:33Speaker 1: back to the drawing board at quarterback and we'll probably
- 4:36Speaker 1: see McCarthy get in there next time. They're ready to
- 4:40Speaker 1: play the one o'clock game. The big game at one
- 4:44Speaker 1: o'clock is the Giants and the Eagles, a rematch from
- 4:48Speaker 1: week six where the Giants really took it to the
- 4:50Speaker 1: Eagles in a way that we have not seen the
- 4:52Speaker 1: Eagles get taken to by an inferior team. I expect
- 4:56Speaker 1: this game to look different. So do the odds makers.
- 4:59Speaker 1: They have the the Eagles at seven and a half
- 5:01Speaker 1: point favorites. But what I don't expect is a lopsided game.
- 5:07Speaker 1: First of all, the Eagles, it's been a while since
- 5:09Speaker 1: they won a lopsided game. You'd have to go back
- 5:11Speaker 1: to last year when they beat the Steelers by a
- 5:15Speaker 1: couple of touchdowns. They had a Cowboys I mean, the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Cowboys had all sorts of injuries. That wasn't a real
- 5:21Speaker 1: Cowboys team that they played, but they did stomp on them.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But those were their last two big, big wins, not
- 5:29Speaker 1: counting obviously the playoffs, the Super Bowl and the NFC
- 5:32Speaker 1: Championship game. I think this Giants team has a lot
- 5:35Speaker 1: of energy. I think this team has a lot of enthusiasm,
- 5:39Speaker 1: led by the rookies Dart and Scataboo. And I understand
- 5:44Speaker 1: that they are coming off a once in a generation
- 5:48Speaker 1: kind of loss to the Broncos. They allowed thirty three
- 5:52Speaker 1: points in the fourth quarter they lost that game. The
- 5:55Speaker 1: kicker missed two pats in that game. I mean, the
- 5:58Speaker 1: Giants invented new ways to lose a game that they
- 6:03Speaker 1: should have won. But if you're gonna say something about
- 6:05Speaker 1: this Giants team. They're resilient so far, and they don't
- 6:10Speaker 1: seem to you know, for a young team, they don't
- 6:13Speaker 1: seem to get caught up in the bad losses. Remember
- 6:16Speaker 1: they beat the Chargers in Jack's darks debut, and then
- 6:21Speaker 1: they went and had the lead against the Saints, the
- 6:25Speaker 1: previously winless Saints at the time. They had the lead
- 6:29Speaker 1: against them in that game and lost in the Superdome,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and you probably thought to himself, and by the way,
- 6:37Speaker 1: now that they lose. They lost by twelve points to
- 6:39Speaker 1: a team that sax team had no wins at the time,
- 6:42Speaker 1: so you probably thought that's the typical Giants. They are
- 6:45Speaker 1: dead and buried. They had a fourteen to three lead,
- 6:48Speaker 1: somehow lost twenty six to fourteen. So bury him now,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Well not so fast, because the Giants rallied back from
- 6:56Speaker 1: that terrible loss by beating the Eagle thirty four to seventeen.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Then they go on the road to Denver and you
- 7:03Speaker 1: think that they got no shot to beat the Broncos.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Well they had a shot. They just epically blew it
- 7:08Speaker 1: in a game that where I read it was something
- 7:10Speaker 1: like one thousand and sixty games had been played in
- 7:13Speaker 1: which you know, a team was up by for the two,
- 7:19Speaker 1: you know, eighteen points in the fourth quarter to start
- 7:21Speaker 1: the fourth quarter or something like that. More than that,
- 7:23Speaker 1: it was was crazy, and then they blew it because
- 7:26Speaker 1: the the Broncos scored thirty three points in that fourth quarter.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's right. It was nineteen to nothing going into the
- 7:34Speaker 1: fourth quarter and the Broncos win thirty three thirty two.
- 7:38Speaker 1: First time in like one thousand and sixty games that
- 7:42Speaker 1: that has happened. So everybody expects now that the Giants
- 7:46Speaker 1: are just gonna come in and get rolled on because
- 7:48Speaker 1: you lose that kind of game. But like I said,
- 7:52Speaker 1: they have. They've had good energy, they've had enthusiasm, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: you got to appreciate that's you're an Eagles fan, you
- 8:01Speaker 1: got to appreciate the way Brian Dables is coaching Jackson
- 8:03Speaker 1: Dart and letting him throw the ball thirty three attempts.
- 8:08Speaker 1: This is not he's not shackling Jackson Dart. He's letting
- 8:14Speaker 1: them play the position. And I think that's a big
- 8:17Speaker 1: reason why they've seen Dart have some good success and
- 8:23Speaker 1: have some confidence be able to throw it.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Rip it.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You know, he was ripping it in the fourth quarter
- 8:28Speaker 1: there to get them back after they had fallen behind.
- 8:31Speaker 1: That scored, So I think that is a testament to
- 8:36Speaker 1: how they're coaching him, and you can't You just don't
- 8:39Speaker 1: know what to expect from the Giants, but I do
- 8:41Speaker 1: think that they're playing tougher. Their offensive line isn't great,
- 8:44Speaker 1: but it's not laughable anymore. They move players off the ball.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They move the Eagles off the ball in that game,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and I think this will be a pretty good fight.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Eagles are seven and a half point favorites. I like
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Giants with the points, but I think the Eagles
- 8:58Speaker 1: will come out and win this game. They've got You
- 9:01Speaker 1: cannot lose this game going into the by go to
- 9:05Speaker 1: five and three, knowing that two year losses have come
- 9:08Speaker 1: to an NFC East team already, that you can't can't
- 9:12Speaker 1: get swept by the Giants in a suite in a
- 9:14Speaker 1: season series there that that would really be I think
- 9:18Speaker 1: an ominous harbinger for the rest of the year for
- 9:19Speaker 1: the Eagles if they lose this game. Dolphins at Falcons.
- 9:24Speaker 1: The Falcons are seven and a half point favorites. The
- 9:27Speaker 1: Dolphins are really close to probably starting a fire sale.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm surprised that they haven't fired Mike McDonald yet McDaniel yet.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I don't think that McDaniel's a bad coach, to be
- 9:42Speaker 1: honest with you. I know it sounds crazy, I think,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and this goes back to last year. I talked about
- 9:47Speaker 1: it on this show a lot. He has had to
- 9:49Speaker 1: devise an offense entirely meant for his quarterback, Tua tungue Ioloa,
- 9:56Speaker 1: who plays the game in a very methodic and deliberate way.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Tua has to get rid of the ball quickly. He
- 10:05Speaker 1: can no longer take hits because of all the concussions
- 10:07Speaker 1: that he had, doesn't have a great arm. Throws to
- 10:10Speaker 1: the running back, to tight end, he no longer has
- 10:13Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill to be able to at least put some
- 10:14Speaker 1: air on the football and let somebody run under it.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And so the offense is very, very one dimensional, and
- 10:22Speaker 1: I kind of wonder what it would look like if
- 10:26Speaker 1: somebody else were and capable. I know that two had
- 10:30Speaker 1: miss games and they had to throw other quarterbacks in
- 10:33Speaker 1: there before, but I wonder, you know, they got the
- 10:35Speaker 1: rookie quinn ewers they have, Zach Wilson. I wonder if
- 10:39Speaker 1: Mike McDaniels tempted to go to one of them because
- 10:42Speaker 1: two has really struggled and thrown interceptions this year and
- 10:46Speaker 1: what it would look like now. That doesn't change the
- 10:47Speaker 1: fact that the Dolphins defense stinks on ice and is
- 10:52Speaker 1: one of the worst defenses, if not the worst defenses
- 10:54Speaker 1: in the league. But sometimes your defense is on the
- 10:57Speaker 1: field too much because your offense is in function. And
- 11:01Speaker 1: the Miami Dolphins offense is not functional, and that's why
- 11:04Speaker 1: they are one and six now if they were playing
- 11:08Speaker 1: anybody else but the Falcons, who are literally the most
- 11:12Speaker 1: inconsistent team in the NFL, and I don't even think
- 11:16Speaker 1: it's close. I mean, this is a team that lost
- 11:18Speaker 1: thirty nothing to the Panthers, then came back and beat
- 11:21Speaker 1: the Commanders, then beat the Bills, and then lost and
- 11:26Speaker 1: didn't even show up. They didn't get off the bus
- 11:29Speaker 1: against the forty nine Ers in that Thursday night game
- 11:33Speaker 1: they lost twenty to ten. Just mind boggling. How inconsistent
- 11:38Speaker 1: the Falcons are. At three and three. Will they beat
- 11:40Speaker 1: the Dolphins? Yes? Will they cover seven and a half? Could?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I doubt it? Maybe not? But then they'll win that game,
- 11:47Speaker 1: But then they have to play the Patriots and the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Colts after that, So probably not going to be competitive
- 11:53Speaker 1: in those games or at least win those games. But
- 11:55Speaker 1: they should beat the Dolphins. But you know, at this point,
- 11:58Speaker 1: no matter what, they do, nothing surprise. Other one o'clock game.
- 12:03Speaker 1: You got the Bengals with the mini by coming off
- 12:07Speaker 1: their win against the Steelers on a Thursday night, they
- 12:09Speaker 1: face a Jets team that is winless these games. These
- 12:12Speaker 1: games scare me right because the Jets have no wins
- 12:16Speaker 1: and the low of average says they're gonna win one
- 12:19Speaker 1: of these games. I doubt they're gonna go oh in sixteen.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Now they're bad. You know, the owner came out and
- 12:24Speaker 1: basically threw the quarterback under the bus, which is never good.
- 12:28Speaker 1: There's been some discussion of maybe Tyrod Taylor playing in
- 12:32Speaker 1: this game overfields. Taylor was a little banged up. We'll
- 12:35Speaker 1: see where they decide to go. I don't think do
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think it matters from a Jets standpoint. I think
- 12:43Speaker 1: it helps them in their passing game a little bit.
- 12:45Speaker 1: But Garrett Wilson has been banged up and if he
- 12:48Speaker 1: doesn't play, he's been day to day. If he doesn't play,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I don't think that Tyrod Taylor has much to throw
- 12:53Speaker 1: to Mason Taylor here, here and there. You know, you
- 12:57Speaker 1: might want to try to throw the ball a little
- 12:59Speaker 1: bit to the running backs. He's been banged up too,
- 13:02Speaker 1: So I really, if the Jets were full strength with
- 13:05Speaker 1: their passing game, I might say, hey, you gotta watch here,
- 13:10Speaker 1: because this team is gonna be hungry and a little
- 13:13Speaker 1: bit motivated, and a different guy pulling the trigger might
- 13:16Speaker 1: give him a little bit of a spark. But if
- 13:19Speaker 1: Garrett Wilson doesn't play, then it's and if Bryce Hall
- 13:24Speaker 1: is still banged up, Priest Hall, sorry, then I don't
- 13:28Speaker 1: know what you can expect from this Jets offense. Now
- 13:30Speaker 1: they're playing at Bengals team has a very bad defense.
- 13:33Speaker 1: We all know that the Bengals got their spark though,
- 13:36Speaker 1: from Joe Flacco against the Steelers. Steelers decided to play
- 13:39Speaker 1: a lot of man coverage and Joe Flacco said, okay,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you're gonna play man coverage against the march Chase. I'm
- 13:44Speaker 1: gonna throw the ball them twenty times, and that's basically
- 13:46Speaker 1: how they won. I don't know that the Jets are
- 13:49Speaker 1: gonna be that bad and make those decisions. And you know, honestly,
- 13:54Speaker 1: the Jets have played a little bit better defense lately
- 13:57Speaker 1: in their last two games. You know, they've only at
- 14:00Speaker 1: twenty six points in their last two games. They lost
- 14:03Speaker 1: thirteen to eleven to the Broncos and thirteen to six
- 14:06Speaker 1: to the Panthers. So Aaron Glenn is starting to do
- 14:08Speaker 1: something right defensively. And so if you're the type of
- 14:13Speaker 1: person who doesn't just evaluate what you saw last, which
- 14:17Speaker 1: is Joe Flacco three hundred and some odd yards, all
- 14:20Speaker 1: these touchdowns, if you don't evaluate that as what the
- 14:23Speaker 1: Bengals are and you say this will be a tougher game,
- 14:26Speaker 1: So this could be a lower scoring game. The Bengals
- 14:29Speaker 1: are six and a half point favorites. Honestly, I think
- 14:34Speaker 1: I think for any other team but the Jets, you'd
- 14:36Speaker 1: be worried about the Bengals here. I think this will
- 14:40Speaker 1: be a closer game that you might think. And I'd
- 14:43Speaker 1: be surprised if Flacco just tore apart the Jets defense
- 14:48Speaker 1: the way he did against the Steelers. This is sort
- 14:51Speaker 1: of an upset watch type of game. But it's a
- 14:54Speaker 1: very important game for the Bengals to win. If they
- 14:57Speaker 1: can win this game, they're gonna feel really good about them.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So and their ability to use Flacco as a bridge
- 15:04Speaker 1: until they get Borrow back, because again, the AFC North,
- 15:10Speaker 1: it's kind of wide open here. And if you beat
- 15:13Speaker 1: the Jets and you get to four and four, you
- 15:16Speaker 1: got the Bears, then the Buy then the Steelers. Then
- 15:20Speaker 1: things get a get a little dicey with the Patriots
- 15:22Speaker 1: and the Ravens and the Bills on the back end there.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So you got to get as many wins here as
- 15:27Speaker 1: you can before Burrow came back. And I'm sure that
- 15:30Speaker 1: they sensed that urgency Browns are at the Patriots one
- 15:34Speaker 1: o'clock game. Now, the Browns did something last week that
- 15:38Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever seen this before. I mean,
- 15:41Speaker 1: you have to be really talented to do what the
- 15:43Speaker 1: Browns did last week. They beat the Miami Dolphins by
- 15:47Speaker 1: twenty five points, despite the fact that as a team,
- 15:54Speaker 1: the Browns only had two hundred and six yards of offense.
- 15:58Speaker 1: They were actually out gained two nineteen to two six.
- 16:02Speaker 1: They were four of eleven on third down, which is
- 16:07Speaker 1: not great thirty six percent, and they only ran the
- 16:10Speaker 1: ball for one hundred and four yards. I mean, I
- 16:13Speaker 1: don't you could read me those stats and tell me
- 16:17Speaker 1: that the Browns won, but by twenty five points. Does
- 16:22Speaker 1: that make any sense? But obviously, as I mentioned, it's
- 16:24Speaker 1: the turnovers. They had three interceptions from Tua and Newers
- 16:28Speaker 1: did get into that game, uh take over. So we'll
- 16:31Speaker 1: see what the leash is like for for Tua. But
- 16:35Speaker 1: I just the Browns are not a good team. They're
- 16:39Speaker 1: not a very and Dylan Gabriel has not done well
- 16:42Speaker 1: as the quarterback. Judge Judkins has been okay as a
- 16:45Speaker 1: ball carrier. They'll get I think they'll they'll have Judy back,
- 16:51Speaker 1: not Judy, I'm sorry, Nadjoku back their tight end. But
- 16:55Speaker 1: the Browns lose this game. And I think Nadjuku becomes
- 16:59Speaker 1: a really good trade chip for the Browns because their rookie,
- 17:04Speaker 1: Harold Fannin junior has stepped up as a tight end.
- 17:07Speaker 1: He's looked pretty decent. Najoko can get something. I mean,
- 17:10Speaker 1: a lot of teams will be fortunate to having Joku.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I think if the Eagles traded for Najoku and used
- 17:16Speaker 1: got her in line more as a blocker, it might
- 17:19Speaker 1: help their run game. And then you got an extra
- 17:21Speaker 1: passing weapon in the middle of the field that you
- 17:24Speaker 1: know you're not really getting much out of Dotson or
- 17:28Speaker 1: anybody in the slot, but maybe Nijoku could be that
- 17:31Speaker 1: kind of guy. But at very least it could help
- 17:33Speaker 1: Goddard stay in line and be a blocker and maybe
- 17:36Speaker 1: that helps the Eagles run game. But he'll he'll be
- 17:38Speaker 1: a wanted player if the Browns decide to ship off
- 17:40Speaker 1: from Djoku at the trade deadline. I like the Patriots
- 17:44Speaker 1: in this game seven and a half a little big,
- 17:47Speaker 1: just because the Browns can play some defense. Browns are
- 17:50Speaker 1: a good defensive team. But Drake may is on a
- 17:53Speaker 1: role right now. Twelve touchdowns to two interceptions. He's among
- 17:57Speaker 1: the league leaders and passing category and touchdowns. And the
- 18:02Speaker 1: Patriots they win this game, they'll go to six and
- 18:04Speaker 1: two as they continue to make their ascent in the
- 18:08Speaker 1: AFC East. Speaking of AFC East, you got the Bills
- 18:13Speaker 1: coming out of the by on a two game losing
- 18:15Speaker 1: streak to face a Panthers team that is above five hundred.
- 18:20Speaker 1: There are four and three for the first time since
- 18:22Speaker 1: Matt Rule coached them, So Dave Canalys has pushed the
- 18:27Speaker 1: right buttons. After a very difficult start, they have found
- 18:30Speaker 1: something with the Rico Dowdle slash now Chuba Hubbard backfield,
- 18:36Speaker 1: which has run the ball very well for them. They
- 18:40Speaker 1: don't have a great passing game. And the issue here
- 18:42Speaker 1: is that Bryce Young has a high ankle sprain. Now,
- 18:47Speaker 1: if they're not, they haven't ruled him out as a
- 18:49Speaker 1: time as of me recording this. If he's out, Andy
- 18:53Speaker 1: Dalton will play. That might actually help their passing game
- 18:56Speaker 1: a little bit. It's not been a very good passing game.
- 18:58Speaker 1: They've really beaten their last three teams on the strength
- 19:01Speaker 1: of their run game. They only scored thirteen points against
- 19:03Speaker 1: the Jets. We know they ran wild with Rico Dawdle
- 19:06Speaker 1: against the Cowboys and the Dolphins, but those are these
- 19:11Speaker 1: Cowboys and Dolphins are bad defenses, all right, And the
- 19:14Speaker 1: Jets were a bad defense and the Panthers only able
- 19:17Speaker 1: to score thirteen against them. So do I like the
- 19:21Speaker 1: Bills in this game? Yes, the Bills have lost two
- 19:23Speaker 1: in a row. They've got to get back on track.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I do think the Panthers are playing better, but I
- 19:30Speaker 1: don't know that they're ready. I think to beat the Bills,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you're gonna have to play great defense, and then you're
- 19:34Speaker 1: probably gonna have to score twenty four to twenty six points.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Maybe they'll have a better chance of doing that with
- 19:40Speaker 1: Dalton at quarterback. I don't know, but the bottom line
- 19:44Speaker 1: is the Bills losing three in a row is really
- 19:45Speaker 1: hard to see, especially coming out of the by. They
- 19:48Speaker 1: need to get right and the Panthers might be the
- 19:52Speaker 1: team meant for them to get right against. All Right,
- 19:57Speaker 1: one o'clock, you got Bears at raven This is an
- 20:02Speaker 1: interesting game because the Ravens are one in five, but
- 20:06Speaker 1: they are healthier. First of all, Lamar Jackson will play
- 20:10Speaker 1: and that will make an enormous difference for them. Secondly,
- 20:13Speaker 1: they look much healthier on defense, at linebacker, at secondary.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I mean, they went through some stretches earlier in the
- 20:19Speaker 1: year where A they were playing bad defense and b
- 20:23Speaker 1: they were hurt on defense. Humphrey was hurt, Hamilton was hurt.
- 20:28Speaker 1: They just had guys who were all banged up. Wiggins
- 20:31Speaker 1: I believe, was hurt. Now Rokwan Smith was hurt. So
- 20:34Speaker 1: now we know they lost Mattabuque to ir. I'm not
- 20:39Speaker 1: sure if they're completely back from defense just because their
- 20:44Speaker 1: players are not injured and just because they're healthier. They
- 20:48Speaker 1: were playing really bad defense all year long. And here
- 20:52Speaker 1: comes a Bears team that has won four straight games
- 20:56Speaker 1: and has really found its offense. Run game. Honestly, the
- 21:01Speaker 1: run game is what's powered them over the Saints and
- 21:06Speaker 1: over the Commanders. You know, obviously they beat the Raiders
- 21:09Speaker 1: and the Cowboys. The win against the Cowboys was good,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and the win against the Commanders was good because the
- 21:16Speaker 1: Commanders were winning that game and fumbled in their last
- 21:19Speaker 1: possession and the Bears took over. And since then, you know,
- 21:25Speaker 1: you know, they scored, they opened up the door and
- 21:28Speaker 1: the Bears entered, okay, and then they went and beat
- 21:30Speaker 1: a Saints team that they should beat. So they've won
- 21:33Speaker 1: four in a row. And this is my reminder for
- 21:35Speaker 1: like the third straight week that the Bears last year
- 21:39Speaker 1: won three in a row and then completely collapsed. But
- 21:42Speaker 1: now they've won four in a row. And I'm very
- 21:45Speaker 1: curious to see, with DeAndre Swift and their newfound run game,
- 21:49Speaker 1: how they're going to do over the next few weeks
- 21:50Speaker 1: against the Ravens, Bengals, Giants, and Vikings. Can they win
- 21:56Speaker 1: two of those games? Right now? The NFC North is
- 22:00Speaker 1: it's pretty interesting with the Packers, the Lions and the Bears.
- 22:04Speaker 1: And I don't think the Vikings are completely out of it.
- 22:06Speaker 1: They've looked, you know, they've obviously lost two straight games,
- 22:08Speaker 1: but this will be a very interesting division, and this
- 22:12Speaker 1: is a game that both the Bears. The Bears are
- 22:15Speaker 1: just looking to capitalize to keep it going, trying to
- 22:18Speaker 1: get Caleb Williams to play a little bit better. Although
- 22:22Speaker 1: they've won four in a row, he's still been inaccurate
- 22:24Speaker 1: at times. But their run game has powered them. And
- 22:27Speaker 1: that's really what Ben Johnson did when he was the
- 22:29Speaker 1: OC of the Detroit Lions, right He ran the ball
- 22:33Speaker 1: with Jamiir Gibbs, he ran the ball with Montgomery. He
- 22:36Speaker 1: gave Jared Goff some options out of play action. Goff
- 22:41Speaker 1: really settled in once the Lions ground game got going,
- 22:45Speaker 1: and that's what they're looking for from Caleb Williams and
- 22:49Speaker 1: the Bears. They just just got to get that ground,
- 22:53Speaker 1: that passing game more complimentary. And that's really on Caleb
- 22:56Speaker 1: Williams at this point to just settle in. All Right,
- 23:01Speaker 1: we got next game after that. I do want to
- 23:06Speaker 1: say it's a big game for both teams, and the
- 23:10Speaker 1: Bears are coming, but I think the Ravens know that
- 23:15Speaker 1: it's now or never, So don't be surprised if the
- 23:18Speaker 1: Ravens really get it together in this game, last one
- 23:22Speaker 1: o'clock game. I'm sort of I'm sort of flabbergasted. I
- 23:28Speaker 1: guess by this line that the Texans are two and
- 23:31Speaker 1: a half point favorites at home against the forty nine ers. Now,
- 23:36Speaker 1: the Texans showed you last week that they're not for real.
- 23:41Speaker 1: They showed you that that two game winning streak that
- 23:43Speaker 1: they have, that they had over the Titans and over
- 23:50Speaker 1: the Ravens, who are all beat up, just goes to
- 23:55Speaker 1: show that that wasn't real. They lost to the Seahawks
- 23:58Speaker 1: twenty seven to nineteen. The game really wasn't even that close,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and now they're dealing with some injuries. It looks like
- 24:04Speaker 1: Nico Collins was in the concussion protocol, Christian Kirk was hurt.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I mean, they are just an offensively lethargic team. They
- 24:13Speaker 1: have zero offense. In fact, they got a touchdown recovery
- 24:18Speaker 1: from Will Anderson in that game, So they didn't even
- 24:21Speaker 1: score nineteen offensive points against the Seahawks. It was more
- 24:25Speaker 1: like they scored twelve points offensively against the Seahawks. They
- 24:29Speaker 1: had a couple of field goals and then they got
- 24:32Speaker 1: a garbage time touchdown from Woody Marks when they were
- 24:35Speaker 1: down by fifteen. All right, so they can't score. This
- 24:38Speaker 1: is a team that cannot score, that is playing a
- 24:41Speaker 1: forty nine Ers team that shouldn't be able to score.
- 24:45Speaker 1: They have had injuries everywhere from Brock Purty to Kittle
- 24:50Speaker 1: to Ricky Pearsol to who else has been hurt? Oh well,
- 24:55Speaker 1: they don't have Brandon Ayuk back and who knows when
- 24:58Speaker 1: he's gonna be back. They have been making do with backups,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and even when Kittle returned last week, he didn't play
- 25:05Speaker 1: a big role in their past game. I mean, he
- 25:07Speaker 1: didn't do anything in their win. So this just goes
- 25:12Speaker 1: to show you that they're making the most of what
- 25:16Speaker 1: they have and the Texans are not. So why are
- 25:19Speaker 1: the Texans two and a half playing favorites? Beats me
- 25:23Speaker 1: absolutely clueless to this one. The forty nine Ers have
- 25:25Speaker 1: played much better football, and they have overcome their injuries
- 25:29Speaker 1: and their offensive issues way better than the Texans have.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I mentioned Kittle. He had no catches, he had two trugs.
- 25:37Speaker 1: He had no catches in their twenty to ten win
- 25:39Speaker 1: over the Falcons, but they did the Niners did. Kittle
- 25:43Speaker 1: must have been a huge help as a blocker, because finally,
- 25:47Speaker 1: McCaffrey was able to have a really good running effort.
- 25:50Speaker 1: He had one hundred and twenty nine yards the average
- 25:52Speaker 1: five point four yards per carrie. He also had seventy
- 25:55Speaker 1: two yards on seven catches. I mean, what McCaffrey is
- 25:58Speaker 1: doing this year is unbelievab. Well, he leads the Niners
- 26:01Speaker 1: in rushing and receiving. He has more receiving yards than
- 26:04Speaker 1: rushing yards, and he has six touchdowns. He's got almost
- 26:08Speaker 1: one thousand yards. He might have it in total. He's
- 26:10Speaker 1: got four to sixty five rushing in five hundred and
- 26:12Speaker 1: sixteen receiving. So yeah, it's just under a thousand yards.
- 26:17Speaker 1: So he's having a great year. How the forty nine
- 26:19Speaker 1: ers would be underdogs against this Texans team that has
- 26:23Speaker 1: a very good defense, I get it, very very good defense,
- 26:27Speaker 1: a defense that gets wasted week after week after week
- 26:31Speaker 1: by an offense that can't do anything. So this will
- 26:33Speaker 1: be a low scoring game. The total is forty one
- 26:35Speaker 1: and a half. That's pretty low for an NFL game.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Wouldn't even surprise me if the if the total in
- 26:42Speaker 1: this game is lower than that. But I have no
- 26:44Speaker 1: faith in the Texans to win this game. All right,
- 26:47Speaker 1: let's go to the four o'clock games. You've got the
- 26:49Speaker 1: Buccaneers or against the Saints. The Buccaneers are just so
- 26:54Speaker 1: beat up, and you know, I feel bad for him
- 26:57Speaker 1: because they got off to such a great start and
- 26:59Speaker 1: there's a good team and they're they're you know, but
- 27:03Speaker 1: to lose Mike Evans, uh, you know, they went and
- 27:06Speaker 1: played a lot. I was really looking forward to this
- 27:07Speaker 1: matchup against the Lions, but losing Mike Evans kind of
- 27:11Speaker 1: lets the the air out of the balloon a little bit,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and they just didn't The Lions are a different team
- 27:16Speaker 1: at home and on turf. You know, the Lions won
- 27:19Speaker 1: that game pretty handily, but know, Mike Evans then godwins
- 27:24Speaker 1: back out. They didn't have Bucky Irving, uh, and they're
- 27:26Speaker 1: not gonna have any of these guys other than Mecha Agbuka,
- 27:29Speaker 1: who was playing on half a leg. I mean, he
- 27:31Speaker 1: was out there balling with a hamstring injury. So I
- 27:35Speaker 1: think this is dangerous territory for them because they have
- 27:37Speaker 1: to go play a Saints team in the Dome, and
- 27:41Speaker 1: the Saints are a little bit different now. The Saints
- 27:43Speaker 1: are banged up too. I guess Olave has been hurt.
- 27:46Speaker 1: We'll see if he plays. So the Bucks should win.
- 27:50Speaker 1: But it's certainly a situation when you don't have Irving
- 27:53Speaker 1: and you don't have Evans, and you don't have Godwin,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and your best player at BUKA is already lim did
- 28:00Speaker 1: a little somewhat with a hamstring. They have to rely
- 28:03Speaker 1: on or shod White and Kate Otten to pick up
- 28:06Speaker 1: the pace. You know, Reddick's also been hurt for them
- 28:09Speaker 1: on defense the Buccaneers. So I think the Bucks will
- 28:11Speaker 1: win this game. I don't know if they'll cover the
- 28:15Speaker 1: four and a half. I think it's going to be
- 28:17Speaker 1: closer and tighter than you think. But fortunately for them,
- 28:21Speaker 1: they're playing a pretty bad Saints team. And the Bucks
- 28:24Speaker 1: continue to roll in their own division, which they should
- 28:28Speaker 1: win this division this NFC South pretty handily. And once
- 28:32Speaker 1: they get healthy, you know, obviously Evans ain't coming back,
- 28:35Speaker 1: but you know, at some point Irving will come back,
- 28:38Speaker 1: and at some point Godwin will get healthier, the offensive
- 28:41Speaker 1: line will be healthier, and I think that they'll be
- 28:44Speaker 1: able to take off again. They just have to survive
- 28:46Speaker 1: this spate of not having all of their offensive firepower.
- 28:51Speaker 1: All right, a really good four to thirty game. The
- 28:54Speaker 1: Cowboys are on the road against the Broncos. The Broncos
- 28:58Speaker 1: are a strange team. I mean, they they have a
- 29:01Speaker 1: really good defense, and yet for some reason the defense
- 29:05Speaker 1: doesn't always show up. I mean, they allow as many
- 29:08Speaker 1: points as they did to the New York Giants, team
- 29:11Speaker 1: that really is one dimension oh and doesn't have neighbors.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Is kind of mind boggling. It's not the first time
- 29:17Speaker 1: this year that they've given up a lot of points too.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I mean, they give up twenty nine to the Colts,
- 29:23Speaker 1: twenty three to the Chargers wasn't that bad, but I
- 29:26Speaker 1: you know, I think defensively they're good. But now they
- 29:29Speaker 1: are facing a Cowboys team that just lights up the scoreboard.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Forty four against the Commanders, twenty seven against the Panthers,
- 29:37Speaker 1: and a loss, thirty seven in a win over the Jets,
- 29:41Speaker 1: forty in a tie to the Packers. I mean, ever
- 29:44Speaker 1: since they lost that game for the Bears thirty one
- 29:46Speaker 1: to fourteen, which and then they lost ceedee lamb, it's
- 29:49Speaker 1: like they found something else offensively and they have been
- 29:53Speaker 1: on fire. Now they're gonna go at Denver, and you
- 29:57Speaker 1: know how it is in Denver, the mile high, the
- 30:00Speaker 1: altitude change, it's hard to sit there and last four quarters.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I mean the Giants clearly, clearly got winded, clearly lost
- 30:07Speaker 1: their energy in the fourth quarter. There's no doubt about it,
- 30:10Speaker 1: all right, So the Cowboys have to withstand that. But
- 30:14Speaker 1: the Broncos are a team that offensively, they don't show
- 30:18Speaker 1: up for four quarter. I like the Eagles, they play
- 30:21Speaker 1: when they need to play. I mean, they almost lost
- 30:23Speaker 1: to the Jets in that game will across the Pond
- 30:26Speaker 1: when they wanted thirteen to eleven. But I don't know,
- 30:30Speaker 1: there's just something missing with the Broncos offense, and there's
- 30:33Speaker 1: something missing from bow Knicks. He's played well in spurts,
- 30:38Speaker 1: but he doesn't seem to have played well for four
- 30:40Speaker 1: quarters yet in a game. And so if they fall behind,
- 30:43Speaker 1: if they let the Cowboys get up, it's gonna be
- 30:47Speaker 1: tough to go toe to toe with this Cowboys offense.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Javonte Williams is playing like he like three to four
- 30:53Speaker 1: years ago when he was a rookie, breaking tackles, running
- 30:56Speaker 1: between the tackles. I mean, he has been maybe the
- 31:00Speaker 1: I was gonna say maybe the key free agent addition
- 31:03Speaker 1: or offseason edition. Micah Parson has been pretty good offseason
- 31:06Speaker 1: edition for the Packers. Cowboys don't want to hear that,
- 31:09Speaker 1: but maybe for a free agent signing, Davante Williams might
- 31:13Speaker 1: be the guy who has been the biggest impact as
- 31:15Speaker 1: a free agent signing this offseason because he has added
- 31:19Speaker 1: a dimention to that Cowboys offense that has made them very,
- 31:23Speaker 1: very well rounded. They can run the ball as well
- 31:26Speaker 1: as anyone, and we know they can throw the ball
- 31:28Speaker 1: as well as anyone. Their other addition in the offseason
- 31:32Speaker 1: by trade was George Pickens, and he has been fantastic.
- 31:35Speaker 1: So you put Pickens and Lamb and Williams and their
- 31:40Speaker 1: tight ends, very good Ferguson all out there, and that's
- 31:43Speaker 1: why Dak Prescott looks like an MVP candidate right now.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Sixteen touchdowns, just three interceptions, almost two thousand yards throwing already.
- 31:51Speaker 1: So the Broncos gotta be careful. They've got to come
- 31:53Speaker 1: out and not only play good defense, but they have
- 31:56Speaker 1: to move the ball better offensively and limit the cow
- 32:00Speaker 1: possessions because if the Cowboys can air it out out
- 32:03Speaker 1: there at mile high, then the Broncos are going to
- 32:06Speaker 1: be backed into a corner. And I don't want to
- 32:08Speaker 1: think the Broncos want to play that game, and this
- 32:10Speaker 1: is a chance, by the way, for the Cowboys to
- 32:14Speaker 1: show everyone that they can play defense better than people think.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Now they have not been a good defensive team. They
- 32:22Speaker 1: allowed only twenty two points to the Commanders, but we
- 32:24Speaker 1: all know that Jaydan and Daniels got hurt in that game.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It was a different game on once Jade Daniels went out.
- 32:31Speaker 1: So but I think the Cowboys under Matt Ebraflus just
- 32:37Speaker 1: you see this all the time. You saw this with
- 32:39Speaker 1: the Eagles a couple of years ago when they changed
- 32:41Speaker 1: defensive coordinators from Jim Schwartz to Jonathan Gannon and changed philosophies.
- 32:46Speaker 1: The first six weeks were a mess for the Egles.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Everybody remembers that game against the Chiefs. The Chiefs came
- 32:51Speaker 1: in there and just lit them up. The forty nine
- 32:55Speaker 1: Ers came in there and moved the ball on them.
- 32:56Speaker 1: They just they did not play great defense because they
- 32:59Speaker 1: were learning the new scheme. And I think the Cowboys
- 33:02Speaker 1: are still learning how to play in ibra Flus's defense.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I'm not saying the Cowboys have great defensive personnel, and
- 33:10Speaker 1: you know, obviously weird things happen to them. Trevon Diggs
- 33:13Speaker 1: gets concussion at home. Who knows how that happened. That's
- 33:16Speaker 1: just weird, and we'll see if he's able to come
- 33:18Speaker 1: back and play in this game. But the Cowboys have
- 33:21Speaker 1: some decent pass rushers up front, so if they could
- 33:24Speaker 1: just get some stops against the run and against this
- 33:28Speaker 1: average Broncos offense, and they can get into tee off
- 33:33Speaker 1: on the quarterback terrain, I think you might see them
- 33:37Speaker 1: come together. And then they have the Cardinals next week.
- 33:39Speaker 1: The Cardinals can't move the ball against anybody, and then
- 33:41Speaker 1: the Raiders after that. So I think the next three
- 33:43Speaker 1: weeks are a chance for the Cowboys defensively to just
- 33:48Speaker 1: raise their level. But I don't think they have top
- 33:50Speaker 1: five or top ten defensive personnel, but they shouldn't be
- 33:55Speaker 1: as bad as they've been, and if they can get
- 33:57Speaker 1: like ten to twenty percent better with the way they
- 33:59Speaker 1: are offenses playing, that could be a very interesting game
- 34:02Speaker 1: Week twelve against the Eagles at the Link. If they
- 34:06Speaker 1: start to get better defensively, this will be a very
- 34:10Speaker 1: good game. If the Cowboys win this game in Denver,
- 34:13Speaker 1: I think you're gonna start to look at them as
- 34:14Speaker 1: a team that is making their move. Titans, Colts, the
- 34:20Speaker 1: another four o'clock game, and listen, the Titans are a
- 34:23Speaker 1: bad team. They're not well coached. They've already fired their
- 34:27Speaker 1: head coach and their interim coach isn't much better. They
- 34:30Speaker 1: have injuries everywhere. I know Jeffrey Simmons is hurt. He's
- 34:35Speaker 1: one of their best defensive players, one of the best
- 34:36Speaker 1: defensive players in the league. So that's not good for them.
- 34:40Speaker 1: They have other injuries going on. Ridley has been hurt
- 34:43Speaker 1: for them. They have no offense. I know totally Pollard
- 34:46Speaker 1: came back, but they're just a team that is lacking
- 34:50Speaker 1: in firepower. So when you don't have Simmons, I think
- 34:53Speaker 1: Lagerius sneed their cornerback is on ir he's dealing with
- 34:56Speaker 1: a quad If he's not on Iorot, I saw that
- 35:00Speaker 1: he's out. So this Colts team is getting a gift
- 35:04Speaker 1: right now at six and one, and they have earned
- 35:07Speaker 1: all of their accolades. You know, it looks like Shane
- 35:10Speaker 1: Steiken has Coach of the Year wrapped up, and it
- 35:14Speaker 1: looks like Daniel Jones as comeback Player of the Year
- 35:16Speaker 1: wrapped up, and you know, Jonathan Taylor might have Offensive
- 35:19Speaker 1: Player of the Year wrapped up. I mean, they are
- 35:21Speaker 1: just getting great contributions. The rookie Tyler Warren has been fantastic.
- 35:25Speaker 1: He leads them in Receiving's already got four hundred and
- 35:28Speaker 1: thirty nine yards. He's a dual threat, kind of tight end.
- 35:31Speaker 1: You can hurt you in a lot of ways. I mean,
- 35:33Speaker 1: they're fourteen and a half point favorites over the Titans.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I don't normally like to take lines that high, but
- 35:39Speaker 1: especially for the division game. But man, I mean, if
- 35:43Speaker 1: you're talking about one team going one way and no
- 35:45Speaker 1: team going the other way, this team could. Colts could
- 35:49Speaker 1: win this game by thirty. They just could. That's just
- 35:52Speaker 1: the way it's going for them and the way it's
- 35:54Speaker 1: going for the Titans right now. All right, at the
- 35:57Speaker 1: eight twenty pm game Sunday night, NBC. And of course,
- 36:01Speaker 1: you know, you knew the NFL couldn't wait to make
- 36:04Speaker 1: this game happen on prime time. This is Packers at Steelers.
- 36:09Speaker 1: This is Aaron Rodgers versus his old team. This is
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know, all the storylines of Aaron Rodgers leaving the Packers. Oh,
- 36:18Speaker 1: he loved the Packers, you know, he enjoyed his time there. Right,
- 36:21Speaker 1: we all remember Aaron Rodgers last year with the Packers
- 36:24Speaker 1: looked like a disaster, and it didn't feel like he
- 36:27Speaker 1: left with any endearing feelings about the Packers. But now
- 36:31Speaker 1: you know, after come some miserable years with the Jets
- 36:34Speaker 1: and a little bit of a resurgence here with Pittsburgh.
- 36:37Speaker 1: And I do say a little bit. I think the
- 36:39Speaker 1: Steelers four and two record is misleading by a lot.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I think the Packers are a much much better team
- 36:47Speaker 1: than the Steelers. The only problem is this is the
- 36:50Speaker 1: Packers are just not the same team on the road
- 36:54Speaker 1: as they are at Lambeau. For whatever reason, you know,
- 36:57Speaker 1: you go play him in Lambeau. They're on Beata. On
- 37:01Speaker 1: the road, they lose to a team like the Browns.
- 37:03Speaker 1: They tie the Cowboys, all right. Even when they played
- 37:09Speaker 1: the Cardinals last year last week on the road, all right,
- 37:13Speaker 1: they didn't look very good. They won twenty seven to
- 37:15Speaker 1: twenty three, and Micah Parsons basically saved them. I think
- 37:18Speaker 1: he had three sacks in the game. But that game
- 37:21Speaker 1: was way too close for a Cardinals team that's not
- 37:24Speaker 1: very good. And now, granted I've said this about the Cardinals,
- 37:27Speaker 1: it is true. They lose every game by less than
- 37:30Speaker 1: I mean, every single one of their losses over the
- 37:33Speaker 1: last five weeks has been by nothing. You know, one
- 37:38Speaker 1: point to the Niners, three points to the Seahawks, one
- 37:41Speaker 1: point to the Titans, four points to the Colts, and
- 37:47Speaker 1: four points to the Packers. So the Cardinals were in
- 37:50Speaker 1: every game. But if you're the Packers, you expected more
- 37:53Speaker 1: from yourself. You expect to beat the Cardinals convincingly. But
- 37:57Speaker 1: now you go play a Steelers team that it's coming
- 38:00Speaker 1: off that bad loss to the Bengals. They've lost some
- 38:03Speaker 1: bad games. They look bad against the Seahawks earlier this
- 38:06Speaker 1: year at home. I mean, their best wins so far
- 38:09Speaker 1: are the Browns, who stink. They beat the Vikings across
- 38:13Speaker 1: the pond by three. Vikings were dealing without I believe
- 38:17Speaker 1: what that was Carson Wentz his first start. I just
- 38:20Speaker 1: don't look at the schedule for the Steelers and say,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I see a really good game, a really good win.
- 38:25Speaker 1: You know, they did beat the Patriots week three, so
- 38:29Speaker 1: that's pretty good because the Patriots look like a good
- 38:31Speaker 1: team now and that was in New England. That's their
- 38:34Speaker 1: best win by far. But I just don't believe in them.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I really don't. I think that they're a little bit overrated.
- 38:43Speaker 1: So I would expect that the Packers are going to
- 38:46Speaker 1: spoil this Aaron Rodgers rematcher or game against his old team,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and I like the Packers to win, but again, they
- 38:53Speaker 1: got to play better on the road. The thing with
- 38:56Speaker 1: the Packers is this, they run the ball well. They
- 38:58Speaker 1: play really good defense, all right, they can rush the passer. Now,
- 39:03Speaker 1: they are a weird offense. They seem to not be
- 39:07Speaker 1: able to have any intermediary passing game without Jayden Daniels.
- 39:12Speaker 1: They just seems like Jordan Love always just wants to
- 39:14Speaker 1: take a big shot to Dubbs. He miss Dubs for
- 39:17Speaker 1: a touchdown last game. He wants to take a big
- 39:19Speaker 1: shot to Dubbs, big shot to Golden. They don't have
- 39:22Speaker 1: any intermediary passing game other than Tucker Kraft. Now, maybe
- 39:27Speaker 1: Christian Watson, who's been practicing, maybe he plays in this game,
- 39:31Speaker 1: and maybe he gives their receiving corps a dimension that
- 39:34Speaker 1: they've been missing without Jayden Reid, without Wis, and maybe
- 39:37Speaker 1: that helps gives them just a little bit My diversity
- 39:41Speaker 1: on offense, but I really put it on Love. Love
- 39:43Speaker 1: wants to throw the ball deep every single chance he gets.
- 39:46Speaker 1: He's got to dial it down because I think he
- 39:49Speaker 1: has an excellent coach of Matt Lafour. I think Laflour
- 39:51Speaker 1: is a great play caller, and I think there are
- 39:53Speaker 1: plays to be made over the middle of the field
- 39:55Speaker 1: and on dumpoffs that Love just doesn't want to make.
- 39:58Speaker 1: And against the Steelers defense, which is not played great,
- 40:01Speaker 1: I think it's just gonna open up the door for
- 40:03Speaker 1: him to want to put the ball down the field.
- 40:05Speaker 1: More So, if they lose this game, it'll probably be
- 40:08Speaker 1: because Love made a bunch of mistakes and you know,
- 40:12Speaker 1: was not disciplined with how he attacked all right, Monday
- 40:17Speaker 1: night game Chiefs Commanders, Now it would just be the
- 40:22Speaker 1: commander's luck that Deebo's gonna play, mclaurin's finally gonna play,
- 40:26Speaker 1: and they're getting healthier everywhere except at the position that
- 40:30Speaker 1: matters most, and that's a quarterback, and it's gonna be Mariota. Now,
- 40:34Speaker 1: Mariota has done a good job, especially when the Commanders
- 40:38Speaker 1: have all a full strength with their weapons. But they're
- 40:42Speaker 1: walking into a buzzsaw here. This Chiefs team is excuse me,
- 40:46Speaker 1: is playing so much better. They got Rashi Rice back.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Guy immediately has two touchdowns. Okay, they are really starting
- 40:55Speaker 1: to click. As an offense. Mahomes is to being Mahomes.
- 41:00Speaker 1: He's got fourteen touchdowns and two interceptions. He's an MVP candidate,
- 41:05Speaker 1: he absolutely is. He is playing so much better. They
- 41:08Speaker 1: are coming on now. Am I impressed that they beat
- 41:11Speaker 1: the Raiders thirty one nothing? No, But the week before
- 41:14Speaker 1: they beat the Lions thirty seventeen. So now you've got
- 41:17Speaker 1: two straight wins. You've got wins in four of your
- 41:20Speaker 1: last five games. Their only loss is that Jags game
- 41:23Speaker 1: where they still weren't full strength. And again, if everybody
- 41:27Speaker 1: remembers that game, I mean Trevor Lawrence probably saved his
- 41:30Speaker 1: best performance for that fourth quarter and he willed the
- 41:33Speaker 1: Jaguars to a win. And they haven't won since that game.
- 41:37Speaker 1: So I consider that a little bit of a hiccup
- 41:40Speaker 1: for the Chiefs. But they are running the ball well
- 41:42Speaker 1: again with Pacheco, and now they've got Rashi Rice. They're
- 41:47Speaker 1: throwing the ball at all three levels with Rashi Rice,
- 41:51Speaker 1: now Xavier Worthy, Thornton Brown, Kelsey, and I think the
- 41:56Speaker 1: Commanders are walking into a buzzsaw for this game. It's
- 42:00Speaker 1: unfortunate because I would I wish that they had Jade
- 42:02Speaker 1: and Daniels. I think this game with the Commanders getting
- 42:05Speaker 1: healthier on offense in their firepower would be a lot closer.
- 42:10Speaker 1: And by the way, the odds makers agree with me.
- 42:13Speaker 1: The Chiefs are eleven and a half point favorites over
- 42:15Speaker 1: the Commanders, And unfortunately, the Commanders are probably going to
- 42:19Speaker 1: start to see their season slip away a little bit
- 42:22Speaker 1: because then they got Seattle and Detroit up after that.
- 42:26Speaker 1: So at three and five, if they get Daniels back
- 42:29Speaker 1: for Seattle, those are almost become must win games at
- 42:33Speaker 1: least one of those two to sort of stay around
- 42:36Speaker 1: five hundred. We know that they've got the Eagles and
- 42:38Speaker 1: the Cowboys. That's how they finished the year Eagles, Cowboys, Eagles,
- 42:43Speaker 1: and they'll have some difficult games even after their Seattle
- 42:46Speaker 1: Detroit back to backers in end of November and early December,
- 42:50Speaker 1: they'll have the Broncos, the Vikings, and the Giants. Giants
- 42:52Speaker 1: are going to push over so they they lose this
- 42:56Speaker 1: game to the Chiefs and it's gonna feel like their
- 42:58Speaker 1: season is slipping away. So those are the games. Obviously.
- 43:04Speaker 1: The bye weeks are the Lions, the Raiders, the Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks,
- 43:07Speaker 1: and Jaguars.

- 44:33Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 44:37Speaker 1: one and up. Last week, I had a better week
- 44:40Speaker 1: picking games. I went two and one. I took the Colts.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I told you, guys, the Colts were getting points to
- 44:48Speaker 1: the Chargers, and I said, there's no way this Colts
- 44:51Speaker 1: team should be getting points. Will they were getting two
- 44:53Speaker 1: and a half. They won outright, thirty eight to twenty four.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I took the Browns get a giving two and a
- 44:59Speaker 1: half to the doll And even though they played very,
- 45:02Speaker 1: very averagely, they won that game thirty one to six.
- 45:05Speaker 1: So I won on those two games. I took the Commanders,
- 45:08Speaker 1: getting one and a half from the Cowboys. I couldn't
- 45:12Speaker 1: have predicted that Jayden Daniels was going to get hurt
- 45:14Speaker 1: and leave the game, and then they wound up losing
- 45:17Speaker 1: by twenty two, So I lost on that one. I
- 45:19Speaker 1: went to and one, and here's why I like this week.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I normally avoid games with big lines, but I think
- 45:26Speaker 1: you heard the way I was talking about the Chiefs
- 45:29Speaker 1: in this Commander's game, and the Chiefs are eleven and
- 45:31Speaker 1: a half point favorites, I think they're going to cover.
- 45:34Speaker 1: You know, I can really see them winning this game
- 45:36Speaker 1: by a couple touchdowns and really making life difficult for
- 45:39Speaker 1: the Commanders. So I'm going to take the Chiefs, giving
- 45:42Speaker 1: the eleven and a half to the Commanders. The forty
- 45:46Speaker 1: nine Ers, you heard me say it. I don't understand
- 45:48Speaker 1: why they're two and a half point underdogs against the
- 45:50Speaker 1: Houston Texans team that isn't very good and has no offense.
- 45:54Speaker 1: The forty nine Ers have been much more efficient offensively
- 45:57Speaker 1: despite their injuries. So you're giving them two and a
- 46:00Speaker 1: half points, I'll take them. I'll take the forty nine
- 46:03Speaker 1: Ers getting two and a half. And lastly, I'll take
- 46:05Speaker 1: the Patriots seven and a half over Browns. Brown to
- 46:09Speaker 1: have a good defense. It is in New England. It's
- 46:11Speaker 1: a little scary for me because I'm not sure if
- 46:13Speaker 1: New England's ready to be that six and two team,
- 46:16Speaker 1: But I can't ignore how well they've played. Drake May
- 46:20Speaker 1: has played really well, and the Browns just aren't a
- 46:22Speaker 1: good team. So if I'm gonna lose one, I could
- 46:26Speaker 1: see myself losing this because the Patriots only win by
- 46:29Speaker 1: three or six. But I am gonna take them to
- 46:31Speaker 1: cover the seven and a half against the Browns, and
- 46:34Speaker 1: we'll see how I do next week. As I say,
- 46:37Speaker 1: thanks for watching and enjoy your full
