- 1:03Speaker 4: how are we doing? You didn't miss anything?
- 1:04Speaker 2: But well, that's what I was gonna ask.
- 1:06Speaker 5: You know, I've been kind of off the grid for
- 1:08Speaker 5: a few days.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Did anything happen? Do we have a coach up? No?
- 1:11Speaker 2: No update there, so we don't have anything. Nope. Had
- 1:15Speaker 2: the signing Classico. Do we beat Penn State?
- 1:19Speaker 4: Yeah, right ahead of Colegate and Penn State.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I know Penn State's normally the standards.
- 1:24Speaker 5: I was like, let's let's compare ourselves to them, see
- 1:26Speaker 5: how they did yesterday.
- 1:28Speaker 2: How was the trip, sir? That was great. We had
- 1:30Speaker 2: a great time.
- 1:31Speaker 5: I was telling Matt, you know, believe it or not, guys,
- 1:35Speaker 5: not hard to score Tennessee Titans tickets at this time
- 1:37Speaker 5: of year. We woke up Sunday morning. Victoria was like, hey,
- 1:40Speaker 5: I've never been to an NFL game.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Once Sea Geek.
- 1:42Speaker 5: They're like twenty bucks for like ten rose from the field.
- 1:45Speaker 5: I was like, all right, we'll go out there because
- 1:47Speaker 5: it was like a noon game. Okay, now, big deal.
- 1:49Speaker 5: We go out there. It is like twenty five degrees.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Wendy.
- 1:53Speaker 5: We stayed for the first half. Woke up Monday morning.
- 1:56Speaker 5: My throat is like one fire. So I was like,
- 1:58Speaker 5: you know, you get sick on vacation. Perfect, that's what
- 2:01Speaker 5: always happens. But uh, happy to be back. The rain
- 2:04Speaker 5: saved itself for when I came back. I appreciate that.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun driving in this morning. Uh no, I'm
- 2:10Speaker 2: happy to be here, guys.
- 2:11Speaker 5: I was, uh, yesterday morning, I was kind of like,
- 2:14Speaker 5: you know, you get the junkie itch every now and then, Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 5: I had it yesterday morning.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Sign a little bit. Oh, I'm excited. That's like your
- 2:20Speaker 2: favorite day of the year. Basically I was high school
- 2:24Speaker 2: kids signing a college. I was I was pretty locked
- 2:26Speaker 2: in yesterday.
- 2:28Speaker 4: And you're probably locked in the whole vacation. I was.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Story is probably like, hey, I wasn't in the office
- 2:33Speaker 2: there Bud.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Yesterday, Like you know, I got home like midday, so
- 2:37Speaker 5: in the afternoon I was like really locked in.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I really wasn't doing anything. That's the worst, like being
- 2:43Speaker 2: on vacation or on a little trip, not in your
- 2:45Speaker 2: comfort zone, staying in a hotel, and then you're sick
- 2:48Speaker 2: a little bit. So I'm sorry, Bud. Oh, it's fine,
- 2:51Speaker 2: it's all good. We've all been there. Yeah, but you know,
- 2:55Speaker 2: you chose to go see the Titans, and I don't
- 2:58Speaker 2: care if it's twenty dollars, that's nion dollars. But was
- 3:01Speaker 2: it the best decision I've ever made?
- 3:04Speaker 6: No.
- 3:05Speaker 5: We saw a Winard Old race at halftime. That's probably
- 3:08Speaker 5: the highlight of the game.
- 3:09Speaker 2: It's not bad they play.
- 3:11Speaker 5: The Jaguars, the Juguar know what you're thinking, Oh, Titans Jags.
- 3:17Speaker 5: At least this was a competitive divisional game. No, I
- 3:20Speaker 5: think the Jaguars won like twenty eight three or something
- 3:22Speaker 5: like that.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It wasn't great, good team, good team. This year, he
- 3:27Speaker 2: did go.
- 3:27Speaker 5: To a Predators game that was electric. First NHL game. Well,
- 3:31Speaker 5: there you go, like NHL in person is like great,
- 3:35Speaker 5: it is went, it was awesome.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you had a really really good time.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Uh, Matthew, how you doing. Uh do pretty good? Little
- 3:42Speaker 4: sleepy today? I got a little manufactured energy. Uh, sleepy, Bud,
- 3:48Speaker 4: you still have too late watching TV? No, I don't
- 3:51Speaker 4: know why, you know it's uh. I felt like I
- 3:53Speaker 4: had a good night's rest.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I think what happens is I love sleeping when it's
- 3:57Speaker 2: raining outside, and so like when I woke up to
- 4:00Speaker 2: you living and that rain was hitting the window, I
- 4:03Speaker 2: just did not want to get out of bed, but
- 4:04Speaker 2: I did it. It's dedicated.
- 4:06Speaker 7: Yeah, you wanted to stay in and watch reruns of
- 4:10Speaker 7: Dawson's Creek and Prices right pretty much?
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and get it, But no, glad you made it.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I'm dedicated. I'm committed to telling the good folks listening
- 4:20Speaker 2: about it high scores.
- 4:24Speaker 7: I bet you did a deep dive, the deepest of deep,
- 4:28Speaker 7: deepest Elandra, How are we doing good?
- 4:33Speaker 8: Not a fan of this weather, y'all know that.
- 4:35Speaker 7: So No, not a fan, like as in, you don't
- 4:40Speaker 7: like driving in it, or I don't like.
- 4:42Speaker 9: Any parts of it because, like matt said, I just
- 4:44Speaker 9: wanted to stay sleepy.
- 4:46Speaker 2: That's the best part about it, though, But you.
- 4:47Speaker 9: Can't stay sleep so that's not the best part of
- 4:50Speaker 9: it true it was jobless. Maybe if I was unemployed.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It was like a random Sunday where you didn't have
- 4:58Speaker 4: to do anything.
- 4:59Speaker 8: Yeah, y'all Sundays you don't have to do anything?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Mmm, I mean not. I like if you recently got,
- 5:05Speaker 2: like going through a breakup, this is like the perfect
- 5:07Speaker 2: day for it. Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 4: With Paula Cole playing in the back, absolutely.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Like some goo goo dolls this music breakup day.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Yeah, what do we typically play on Thursdays?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Do we typically play on third.
- 5:23Speaker 8: You don't have like as breakup songs.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Maybe because broke up with old Miss.
- 5:28Speaker 7: Yes, and we're excited, but we're gonna let them feel
- 5:31Speaker 7: the pain because they can say what they want to say,
- 5:34Speaker 7: they can act like they want to act.
- 5:36Speaker 9: No, we are crashing out like they're in the crash
- 5:40Speaker 9: out stage of the breakup, which we.
- 5:42Speaker 8: All get it. Who hasn't crashed out before?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Everybody's fault, but they're own.
- 5:46Speaker 5: That was probably my favorite thing on vacation, Like, Okay,
- 5:51Speaker 5: I'm not trying to be rude here or anything, but
- 5:53Speaker 5: know your damn place in the world, please, Like, Okay,
- 5:55Speaker 5: there's people like why would you ever leave old Miss?
- 5:58Speaker 5: This is like a dream job. It's a stepping zone.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Somebody in the SEC has to be a bottom feeder.
- 6:03Speaker 5: For I don't know, ninety five percent of my life
- 6:06Speaker 5: it has been old missed. They'll probably go back to that,
- 6:08Speaker 5: like no, no, your playing there's a hierarchy in college
- 6:11Speaker 5: football and you're not at the top.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Well, there might be a little strong well when we
- 6:16Speaker 4: were playing, they were bottom feeders.
- 6:18Speaker 9: They haven't really been not bottom feeders right like outside
- 6:22Speaker 9: they were when we were playing.
- 6:24Speaker 2: They were a couple of years. I feel like you
- 6:26Speaker 2: got to reserve the bottom feeders for like the back
- 6:28Speaker 2: Kentucky like Kentucky, Missippi State, Arkansas like like Ole miss
- 6:34Speaker 2: was kind of like a catfish, like they'll dabble at
- 6:36Speaker 2: the bottom, but they'll also come up for a worm.
- 6:38Speaker 6: You know.
- 6:40Speaker 5: I guess man, it's just like I don't understand like
- 6:43Speaker 5: you like I get like, okay, if you're Georgia, if
- 6:46Speaker 5: you're Tennessee, if you're Texas and lang Kiffin leaves for
- 6:49Speaker 5: l issue, Yeah, I feel some type of way it'd
- 6:51Speaker 5: be like what what makes you better?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Like it's all a shoe and old miss guys, it's like.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Leaving a high school job for a Division two college job,
- 6:58Speaker 5: Like it's kind of a no brain what are we
- 7:00Speaker 5: doing here? I just I don't know. I just feel
- 7:02Speaker 5: like people they let people get in their head.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Though, they let people get in their head and a
- 7:07Speaker 4: different like fine bombing in their head, like to make
- 7:09Speaker 4: them sound like like Old Missus a bitter driver in
- 7:12Speaker 4: the heads Verissily, who who's my colleague?
- 7:16Speaker 2: There's my guy?
- 7:17Speaker 7: Like, but he was like the difference between LSU and
- 7:20Speaker 7: Ole miss is so small. I'm like, Bud, it's a
- 7:23Speaker 7: it's not it's a it's a gap. And it's okay.
- 7:27Speaker 7: Old Missus is winning football games, but to say that
- 7:30Speaker 7: it's on the same.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Level, it's just not.
- 7:32Speaker 7: Because you keep telling me about these seasons that Old
- 7:35Speaker 7: miss is having and.
- 7:36Speaker 4: They're great, but what is it gotten them? They still
- 7:41Speaker 4: haven't gotten to Atlanta.
- 7:43Speaker 7: They still haven't you know, won a championship at the
- 7:46Speaker 7: SEC level or the national championship level.
- 7:48Speaker 8: I haven't even touched the playoffs.
- 7:49Speaker 5: So if you have a sign in your stadium it
- 7:52Speaker 5: says SEC West champions even when you weren't, your program
- 7:58Speaker 5: is a loser.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It is what it is. I mean, you know, Brian Kelly,
- 8:00Speaker 2: who else?
- 8:01Speaker 7: You just fired made it to Atlanta, and your program
- 8:04Speaker 7: still never has. So Lane Kiffin sees that and he's like, look,
- 8:08Speaker 7: I have maxed out what this place can be, at
- 8:10Speaker 7: least in his thoughts. He's been there, he knows it,
- 8:14Speaker 7: and I'm gonna go to a place that expects to
- 8:18Speaker 7: be there right every single year.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And I don't want to like call people like liars.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I'm going to it's fine. Like the kid that came
- 8:26Speaker 2: out and AD like when they said nope, we did
- 8:31Speaker 2: not as a team asked Lane to hope that Lane
- 8:35Speaker 2: would coach in the playoffs. Get out of here with that,
- 8:38Speaker 2: like you're a head coach that's there, like most of
- 8:41Speaker 2: the guys on the team came there to earn money
- 8:44Speaker 2: as well and play football like it's professional football. You're
- 8:48Speaker 2: gonna say, like after the fact, you're telling me nobody
- 8:52Speaker 2: on that team said yeah, we definitely want you to
- 8:55Speaker 2: coach us, like we got a chance at this thing, like,
- 8:57Speaker 2: come coach us because we're doing pretty good. And the
- 9:00Speaker 2: ad to say, well, none of that was true, blah
- 9:02Speaker 2: blah blah.
- 9:02Speaker 4: You just let the oc back that I really don't.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Right, you talked about like some hypocritical stuff happening right now.
- 9:10Speaker 9: Well, he did the exact same thing, so why is
- 9:13Speaker 9: it okay for Charlie Weiss to go back? And then
- 9:15Speaker 9: everyone like this is kind of funny to me because
- 9:18Speaker 9: everyone's like, oh, Lane Kiffin's allowing Charlie Weiss to go
- 9:22Speaker 9: coach the playoff, and like that might be true, right,
- 9:24Speaker 9: Like he has to also give him permission or let
- 9:26Speaker 9: him go.
- 9:27Speaker 8: But like Keith Carter who.
- 9:31Speaker 9: Refused to let Lane Kiffin do it, yeah, probably off
- 9:33Speaker 9: of principle, and like pettiness is just gonna let Charlie Weiss,
- 9:38Speaker 9: the same guy that got on the same plane when
- 9:40Speaker 9: he got the same ultimatum as everybody else.
- 9:42Speaker 8: He's gonna let him come back.
- 9:44Speaker 4: They went to that first install meeting for the playoff
- 9:47Speaker 4: and said well.
- 9:47Speaker 5: And they were like, wait a minute. Our entire offensive
- 9:50Speaker 5: staffs gone to Charlie want to come back a couple
- 9:52Speaker 5: of games? Yeah, Ad wouldn't be doing hot yoga if
- 9:56Speaker 5: it wouldn't for Lane. You wouldn't be doing it. You
- 9:58Speaker 5: don't think the ad set that up? Everyone more than
- 10:00Speaker 5: at six? Nah, Yeah, that's Lane. He'd be out of shape.
- 10:05Speaker 2: We didn't get that healthy sweat on every morning if
- 10:06Speaker 2: it wasn't for Lane's and it's so hypocritical.
- 10:09Speaker 7: Though he Look, Morris is catching coaching North Texas summer's
- 10:12Speaker 7: coaching to Lane. Brian Hartline, the OC for Ohio State,
- 10:15Speaker 7: who's a South Florida head coach, is coaching them. Con Kline,
- 10:18Speaker 7: who's now the Kansas State head coach, is going to
- 10:19Speaker 7: coach A and M in the playoff.
- 10:21Speaker 2: He's there OC. Yeah, Lane's the only.
- 10:23Speaker 4: One that And look, there's two sides to everything.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I get it, And like, do I actually believe everything
- 10:28Speaker 2: happened exactly as like Lane and like he'd like everything
- 10:31Speaker 2: was done perfectly from his side? Probably not. It's a
- 10:34Speaker 2: messy situation. We all get it, but like to sit
- 10:37Speaker 2: there and lie and be like the players, not we
- 10:39Speaker 2: did not one person in that room so that we
- 10:41Speaker 2: wanted him to keep coaching? Yeah, right, yeah, get you
- 10:43Speaker 2: want to win?
- 10:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you want to What gives you the best chance
- 10:46Speaker 4: to win would have been with Lane head coach.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So I get it.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Like if he goes he's never been a head
- 10:51Speaker 4: coach in two thousand and seven, if Miles would have
- 10:53Speaker 4: like said he was going to take that job, right
- 10:55Speaker 4: but been like yeah, coach, but can we just finish.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, let's just finish. Like we don't like it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: We're mad at you a little bit, but like let's
- 11:02Speaker 2: let's do it. Let's go finish.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Yeah, we got I guess it was before the SEC
- 11:07Speaker 4: championship game. We got two games. Yeah, let's go finish it.
- 11:10Speaker 4: But we had like two games, but we had like
- 11:11Speaker 4: a month. Yeah right right. Anyway, liars, you catfish, I
- 11:20Speaker 4: know that's that might be that might stick.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That might be your best work so far. Thank you.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Ball parking it in my head a little bit.
- 11:27Speaker 8: That in the leg out the blanket.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yeah, but I've heard it like you heard that the
- 11:31Speaker 4: first time. I've heard that for about eight years.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Man. Yep.
- 11:38Speaker 4: You notice he had more investments. We started calling him
- 11:40Speaker 4: out though.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I took it off because it was hot in near It's.
- 11:44Speaker 9: I think I might be thank you.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I mean, if you're not, if you if you're against best,
- 11:54Speaker 2: you're just like you're a sheep. If you're not, if
- 11:56Speaker 2: you are totally against best, you're a sheep because like
- 12:00Speaker 2: they are practical, they are comfy, they keep the core warm,
- 12:03Speaker 2: and you're just doing it out of principle and out
- 12:05Speaker 2: of spite. Because there's a lot of nerds. There's a
- 12:09Speaker 2: lot of nerds that wear them, and they make it
- 12:10Speaker 2: their uniform and that's fine. Yeah, but like it still
- 12:15Speaker 2: doesn't minimize the greatness of the vest. For sure.
- 12:21Speaker 9: I have like a little fur one that I wear sometimes.
- 12:25Speaker 9: But I think I'm gonna get a bubble vest.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 8: I think y'all convince me.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You got a puffer vest, yeah, puffy. Yeah. Just because
- 12:32Speaker 2: I'm sure the car Brothers are vest wears doesn't mean
- 12:35Speaker 2: I can't.
- 12:36Speaker 8: Actually can't. You just got me back off board.
- 12:40Speaker 5: It almost easy. We had a vest ready to go
- 12:42Speaker 5: this morning. If it wouldn't have been raining, we'd be
- 12:45Speaker 5: rocket out.
- 12:45Speaker 2: We know you're in the gang. We know.
- 12:48Speaker 7: Uh, before we take this first break. During all the madness,
- 12:53Speaker 7: all the craziness, which one, which storyline, which whatever it was,
- 12:57Speaker 7: made you wish you were in studio, the most had
- 13:01Speaker 7: a name.
- 13:03Speaker 5: Yeah, probably probably yesterday. I mean, you know, we had
- 13:07Speaker 5: talked about the Lane Kiffin thing at nauseam for three weeks,
- 13:11Speaker 5: you know, I mean everybody was like, this is their
- 13:12Speaker 5: top guy. I actually think they did well yesterday for
- 13:17Speaker 5: the most part. I know, we'll probably recap day one,
- 13:20Speaker 5: but look, you hired a coach forty eight hours before
- 13:22Speaker 5: signing day, and I think you did about as well
- 13:24Speaker 5: as you could. You flipped four people from Old Miss,
- 13:27Speaker 5: so all the Old Miss recruits that apparently hated Lane
- 13:30Speaker 5: Kiff and they didn't hate him too much because they're
- 13:32Speaker 5: on board as well. And you didn't really lose anybody.
- 13:35Speaker 5: I mean, there's a couple guys that have delayed their decisions.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Somebody's flipped on you. So I mean, look, you heard
- 13:39Speaker 5: a coach forty eight hours before signing day, and I
- 13:43Speaker 5: think you did a really good job.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like you crushed Uh well, did well, for sure?
- 13:50Speaker 2: Did well? For sure.
- 13:51Speaker 7: There's some names that when we were doing the show
- 13:53Speaker 7: yesterday we weren't sure if they were going to.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Sign, and there was rumors.
- 13:57Speaker 7: Hey, if they signed, that's a very good side because
- 14:00Speaker 7: of this. We'll explain what this is when we come
- 14:03Speaker 7: back here on O TV.

- 16:36Speaker 2: Yep, because we said earlier that this was the perfect
- 16:39Speaker 2: day for a breakup because it's raining outside.
- 16:43Speaker 8: So you've been thinking about breaking up with your girlfriend, do.
- 16:45Speaker 2: It today because this is the time they want to
- 16:47Speaker 2: be staring out a window on a rainy day. And
- 16:49Speaker 2: for you, ole miss fans, so you got broken up with,
- 16:52Speaker 2: I feel for you. Stop complaining about it, stop lying.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Go look out the window. It's raining, Move along, stare

- 18:20Speaker 2: Go flow IVY.
- 18:21Speaker 4: All right, So the big store here outside of all
- 18:25Speaker 4: the coaching news is signing Day, and we followed it yesterday, Tata,
- 18:31Speaker 4: you certainly more than any of us. You follow this,
- 18:34Speaker 4: I would say, day in and day out for the
- 18:36Speaker 4: most part, not like we all once used to. But
- 18:39Speaker 4: certainly you call high school football games as well, so
- 18:42Speaker 4: you are locked in. What did you think of the
- 18:44Speaker 4: Tiger's Day yesterday?
- 18:45Speaker 5: I thought it was as good as it could be, honestly,
- 18:48Speaker 5: and maybe even a little bit better because there were
- 18:50Speaker 5: some surprises that you flipped four Ole Miss recruits. Now,
- 18:54Speaker 5: you know, on the surface, you could say, Okay, well
- 18:56Speaker 5: that's not that big of a deal. You got their coach, obviously,
- 18:59Speaker 5: but you got some big time guys. Corey Barber, the
- 19:01Speaker 5: four star wide receiver. You go, turn on this kid's
- 19:04Speaker 5: tape like he could flat out play. Everything he does
- 19:07Speaker 5: sticks out to you.
- 19:08Speaker 1: J C.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Anderson the tight end. He was an Old Miss commit.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Ryan Murray, he was an offensive lineman that was committed
- 19:14Speaker 5: to Ole Miss.
- 19:14Speaker 2: He signs with.
- 19:15Speaker 5: You yesterday, So I mean you got guys in positions
- 19:18Speaker 5: of need. Everyone was worried about Richard Anderson yesterday. Is
- 19:22Speaker 5: he going to sign?
- 19:22Speaker 2: Is he not?
- 19:23Speaker 5: Richard Anderson does sign, which I thought was huge, and
- 19:27Speaker 5: you didn't lose anybody yet. I mean, Dujiah Gerald's was
- 19:30Speaker 5: always going to sign on Friday. That was something he
- 19:32Speaker 5: said from the beginning because like a lot of people forget.
- 19:35Speaker 5: People think early signing periods one day. It's from yesterday
- 19:38Speaker 5: to Friday, Like you could sign anywhere in that three
- 19:40Speaker 5: day window. Lamar Brown's wanted to keep an eye on.
- 19:43Speaker 5: There is a little bit of update on him. Bryce
- 19:47Speaker 5: and Cooley might be the only one to like really
- 19:49Speaker 5: worry about right now. By Steve will falling yesterday. Actually
- 19:52Speaker 5: Crystal bought him to Alabama. Now, initially I would worry
- 19:56Speaker 5: about that, but if you lose Bryce Cooley because you
- 20:00Speaker 5: move on from Brad Davis, that's kind of still a
- 20:03Speaker 5: net positive for me. Like like if you get a
- 20:06Speaker 5: new O line coach and you upgrade from Brad Davis
- 20:09Speaker 5: and bryceon Cooley doesn't went on board, you lose a
- 20:12Speaker 5: couple kids for that because you need to improve their
- 20:14Speaker 5: big time. I mean we've talked about it. Yeah, a
- 20:16Speaker 5: number of times on this show. But I mean outside
- 20:18Speaker 5: of that, I think they did a really nice job.
- 20:20Speaker 5: There were some prizes, Aiden Hall, the safety, I mean,
- 20:23Speaker 5: he hopped in late I like the class overall.
- 20:27Speaker 7: Yeah, and then you got the corner from California we
- 20:30Speaker 7: were talking about yesterday that his father was like, he
- 20:33Speaker 7: ain't signing there if Corey Raymond is not a part
- 20:36Speaker 7: of it, and so he signs.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So we don't have.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Official news, no, but that's a really good situations happening.
- 20:44Speaker 7: That's a really good sign that there is a plan
- 20:46Speaker 7: in place for Corey Raymond, which I just think is
- 20:49Speaker 7: as important as almost anything in the next couple of days,
- 20:53Speaker 7: and it has been it should be.
- 20:55Speaker 4: So that's good pointing in that direction.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it sounds like that's a positive. Right. So when
- 21:00Speaker 2: when did his father say that? That was a while back, right, Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: just an recruiting process. Yeah, I mean, I guess, you know,
- 21:06Speaker 2: there's no guarantees. Maybe there's a big fan of Lane Kiffin,
- 21:09Speaker 2: you know, and and he's new to the program, so
- 21:12Speaker 2: you never really know. But based on those comments alone,
- 21:14Speaker 2: you got to think that there is at least a
- 21:16Speaker 2: good chance that Lane's going to retain Corey Raymond, and
- 21:20Speaker 2: we all hope that he does. We think from our
- 21:23Speaker 2: seats and everybody else's seats and what we've seen Corey
- 21:26Speaker 2: be able to do the architect of course of DBU,
- 21:30Speaker 2: what he did this year with with all the corners
- 21:34Speaker 2: that played so well, how good months work it did
- 21:37Speaker 2: coming back? Did you pick it coming in? Like, yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 2: we could. We could go on and on about bout
- 21:42Speaker 2: naming the job that he's done, so that to us,
- 21:44Speaker 2: it's a priority. Now, we just hope that it's a
- 21:47Speaker 2: priority for Lane and if it's not, then better have
- 21:49Speaker 2: a pretty good backup plan.
- 21:51Speaker 7: Yeah, And gosh, I know this sounds crazy, and I
- 21:54Speaker 7: know it's speaking in absolutes. I just don't know that
- 21:56Speaker 7: there's a backup plan that would be better. Well, no,
- 21:58Speaker 7: there's anywhere, you know what I'm saying, anywhere from coast
- 22:01Speaker 7: to coast.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's it's the same thing that that's kind
- 22:05Speaker 2: of the like I'm y'all know me, you know, I
- 22:08Speaker 2: don't hide it, like I don't really like it's important
- 22:12Speaker 2: the signing day and getting good kids out of high
- 22:14Speaker 2: school and having that talent pool of young guys to
- 22:16Speaker 2: grow and but like I'm more kind of focused on
- 22:19Speaker 2: like the Blake Baker watch right now right, because there's
- 22:22Speaker 2: no way you're gonna find someone to come in and
- 22:23Speaker 2: be better than him, Like you can only hope to
- 22:27Speaker 2: find an equal to him if he decides to go
- 22:30Speaker 2: and take a head coaching job. But no one would
- 22:32Speaker 2: blame him. But that is what is That's the storyline
- 22:36Speaker 2: that I'm more concerned about rather than because you know,
- 22:40Speaker 2: I think Lane said it best and then was it yesterday,
- 22:43Speaker 2: two days ago? Whatever it was. He's like, I'm ultimately confident,
- 22:46Speaker 2: like if we don't get the numbers, we wonder whatever
- 22:48Speaker 2: during signing day, Like I am not stressing because I
- 22:51Speaker 2: know we're going to crush in the portal, But can't
- 22:55Speaker 2: go find a Blake Baker every day in the portal?
- 22:58Speaker 7: No, And there was the report I think Garland had
- 23:02Speaker 7: it yesterday that Blake Baker not only interviewed for two
- 23:06Speaker 7: Lane on Monday, but he also interviewed for the Memphis
- 23:09Speaker 7: head coaching job.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Well, if you're gonna interview for one, you have to
- 23:12Speaker 2: interview for two for negotiating, so.
- 23:16Speaker 7: And both those are really good jobs, certainly for your
- 23:19Speaker 7: first opportunity to be a head coach. If two Lane
- 23:23Speaker 7: wins the American they're in the playoff. Memphis was a
- 23:28Speaker 7: team that for a long portion of the year was
- 23:31Speaker 7: that team. They beat Arkansas. Arkansas this year.
- 23:33Speaker 2: You know, and look, you could go back.
- 23:35Speaker 7: I mean, Memphis has done this for a long time,
- 23:39Speaker 7: number of years put together. So he's interviewed for a
- 23:43Speaker 7: couple of jobs, but if he doesn't take a head
- 23:45Speaker 7: coaching job, he's.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Coming back to Baton Rouge, right, I mean I think
- 23:49Speaker 4: we know.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I mean, don't you agree with that though, if you're
- 23:50Speaker 2: going to go and whether you like if it's two
- 23:54Speaker 2: lane or bust at me at the moment for Blake, like,
- 23:58Speaker 2: if you're gonna interview for one job, you got to
- 24:01Speaker 2: go interview for at least two because you got Yeah,
- 24:04Speaker 2: you have to because your agent's gonna push you to
- 24:06Speaker 2: do that because he wants some power negotiations. Yeah. Right,
- 24:09Speaker 2: so it's that you go interview for two because you
- 24:12Speaker 2: need a know. I know Tulane is thinking like, all right,
- 24:15Speaker 2: well he's either coming here, we got to out thet
- 24:16Speaker 2: LSU for the coordinator job at oh now we got
- 24:20Speaker 2: to outbid Memphis as well or make maybe make l
- 24:25Speaker 2: SU out at him. I don't know. Apparently we got
- 24:27Speaker 2: no problem funding money.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I was about say, I'm sure l s U would
- 24:30Speaker 4: do what they have to do financially as well.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Give them five You said whatever, I don't care.
- 24:38Speaker 4: You said something about an update, the latest, What is
- 24:41Speaker 4: the latest with Lamar Brown?
- 24:42Speaker 2: There? Well, he did.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Say that, you know, he wanted to see the staff certainty,
- 24:49Speaker 5: like there was uncertainty around the staff. Also though, look
- 24:54Speaker 5: I did this for you guys. Okay, I was like,
- 24:56Speaker 5: we gotta have a little bit of a deep dive.
- 24:59Speaker 5: I guy us social media handles no longer say LSU
- 25:02Speaker 5: in it. His profile pictures gone, Like his profile pictures
- 25:06Speaker 5: just black, like a black black circle on Instagram, Like no,
- 25:10Speaker 5: no LSU affiliation whatsoever on that page. Now, look, you're
- 25:14Speaker 5: a seventeen year old kid. A lot of them doing
- 25:15Speaker 5: for fun. I get it, But.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's something his future head coaches a troll. So
- 25:21Speaker 2: you might as well start telling people yourself. I met
- 25:25Speaker 2: that in a good way. Way. You'll know where I'm
- 25:31Speaker 2: staying on. This doesn't matter who the player is.
- 25:32Speaker 7: If you have an opportunity and you're from Louisiana to
- 25:34Speaker 7: go to LSU, I'm always going to tell.
- 25:36Speaker 2: You to do it. I have been taken care of
- 25:39Speaker 2: in my life.
- 25:40Speaker 7: I'm forty years old because I'm from Louisiana and went
- 25:43Speaker 7: to LSU.
- 25:44Speaker 4: It's just the way that it is. Any speech that
- 25:48Speaker 4: I give to any junior Day or you know, rising
- 25:52Speaker 4: senior day, like all these days they have where you
- 25:55Speaker 4: and I will go and we'll talk to whoever it is.
- 25:57Speaker 4: I tell them that all the time. It's factual, it's actual.
- 26:00Speaker 4: I have had teammates that have won Rose Bowls at
- 26:05Speaker 4: the quarterback position and moved out of Louisiana because they
- 26:08Speaker 4: just couldn't find what they were looking for. As far
- 26:10Speaker 4: as a profession, I could give you ten to fifteen examples, right,
- 26:16Speaker 4: wrong or indifferent.
- 26:17Speaker 7: That's just the way it is. So I'm always going
- 26:18Speaker 7: to tell anybody from Louisiana. If you have an opportunity
- 26:22Speaker 7: to go to LSU and you think it's the best
- 26:25Speaker 7: for you, you got to take it.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an opportunity that can open up doors for
- 26:29Speaker 2: the rest of your life. Especially yes, like you're successful. Now,
- 26:32Speaker 2: if you're not successful, then you know, stores are like
- 26:35Speaker 2: cracked open. Maybe, but like if you're successful, it's a
- 26:38Speaker 2: good thing. And you were talking about it yesterday. You
- 26:40Speaker 2: gave so many different examples of guys that were from
- 26:42Speaker 2: Louisiana that didn't go You talked about your teammate right,
- 26:47Speaker 2: like when they come.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Back to Louisiana. It's like, nobody cares if you want
- 26:51Speaker 4: a heisman, nobody.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Cares if you whatever.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Ten years in the NFL. Yeah, I don't care.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah, oh at school, Oh yeah, I'm for you. That's
- 27:00Speaker 2: about it.
- 27:02Speaker 4: And again, like if you don't want to move back
- 27:03Speaker 4: here and if you want to stay where, like that's
- 27:06Speaker 4: a different situation.
- 27:07Speaker 7: If you want to move back here, you want to
- 27:09Speaker 7: be a part of the community. That's just the way
- 27:11Speaker 7: that it is. I know, like almost everything I've gotten
- 27:15Speaker 7: in my life has been because of l s U.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Just facts.
- 27:20Speaker 7: I mean, you from some You're you're not from Louisiana,
- 27:23Speaker 7: but still, I mean, because you made this your home,
- 27:26Speaker 7: you get taken care.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Of as well. Just is what it is. And it's yeah,
- 27:34Speaker 2: so we're talking to you high school kids trying I mean,
- 27:39Speaker 2: we've done this before. Yeah, we've been there, We've you.
- 27:42Speaker 7: Know, having these conversations with I think it was Andrew Whitworth,
- 27:51Speaker 7: like that was his recruiting pitch to me because I
- 27:53Speaker 7: was committed to Texas and then you know, I get
- 27:55Speaker 7: the offer from LS like we talked about yesterday, and
- 27:57Speaker 7: I'm like, all right, well it's time to decide. And
- 27:59Speaker 7: I'm remember that was one of of the people that
- 28:01Speaker 7: I talked to.
- 28:03Speaker 2: He was right, here is what it is, so come here,
- 28:07Speaker 2: be successful. Don't be scared.
- 28:09Speaker 9: I think the Instagram things just like I think it's
- 28:11Speaker 9: just him just wanting to Yeah, you know when Beyonce
- 28:16Speaker 9: deletes everything before she releases an album, I think I didn't.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I didn't know that at all. I respect it, n
- 28:23Speaker 2: I like it. A couple of interesting comments in the
- 28:26Speaker 2: in the chat here. One was Blake Baker, He's not
- 28:30Speaker 2: being interviewed by Tulane or Memphis, He's interviewing them. Respect
- 28:36Speaker 2: that Also a question said Jake and Matt as former players,
- 28:40Speaker 2: how would you feel if your coach walked out on
- 28:42Speaker 2: you after eleven wins and going to playing for potentially
- 28:45Speaker 2: playing for a Natty.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Well, we almost had that sage we talked about that
- 28:48Speaker 4: last segment. Almost had that situation if Les Miles would
- 28:51Speaker 4: have gone to Michigan as was rumored for Kirk kurb
- 28:54Speaker 4: Street at the time before sec championship.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, we wouldn't have been happy about it, certainly, but
- 28:58Speaker 2: we would have been like, let's go fini this. Yeah, like,
- 29:01Speaker 2: can you just at least stay here for the next
- 29:03Speaker 2: month while we yeah, finished the job.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I mean, I don't not every situation is going to
- 29:09Speaker 4: be the same. I don't remember, like, you know, being
- 29:11Speaker 4: like angry at coach Saban for leaving us to go
- 29:14Speaker 4: and we weren't playing. I mean, we're in nine to
- 29:17Speaker 4: two football team who weren't playing for a playoff because
- 29:20Speaker 4: there wasn't an expanded playoff we would have been a playoff.
- 29:23Speaker 2: So we were in the Capitol One Bowl playing Iowa.
- 29:25Speaker 7: Yeah, we got to go to Disney. It was awesome,
- 29:27Speaker 7: fast past. But I don't remember being like I understood, well.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I mean it's NFL. Yeah, it was a different situation.
- 29:34Speaker 4: But I'm saying I don't remember this anger. It's like,
- 29:37Speaker 4: oh man, that sucks.
- 29:38Speaker 2: He would have gone straight to Alabama.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Well there was anger when he went to Alabama by
- 29:42Speaker 4: a lot of people, for sure, And at the time
- 29:44Speaker 4: Alabama was not a rival.
- 29:46Speaker 2: That's the true freak rus. Yeah, at the time, it
- 29:50Speaker 2: was like, I mean, like I said, I don't know,
- 29:53Speaker 2: we never lost to him while I was in school,
- 29:56Speaker 2: Like they were not a rival, like kind of a man.
- 30:00Speaker 4: M hm uh tata percent chances that Lamar Brown signs
- 30:07Speaker 4: with L s U.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I think he still signs and mean, nothing's really changed.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I mean, look, well A and M in Miami were
- 30:16Speaker 2: the two schools that were A. M is the big one.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know why you'd want to go to Miami.
- 30:22Speaker 5: They don't have actual fans.
- 30:24Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I'm sure. I'm sure, but I know
- 30:28Speaker 7: A and M was probably number two.
- 30:33Speaker 5: I mean i'd say seventy. Okay, you never know what
- 30:37Speaker 5: high school kid's gonna do, you know.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and we're show him videos of the yell leaders. Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 4: I think that will change his mind.
- 30:45Speaker 5: If that's not a turnoff, that's concerning, then you're perfect.
- 30:50Speaker 9: You know how we said that we were going to
- 30:51Speaker 9: blame Matt if Elijah Haven didn't sign with you.
- 30:56Speaker 8: I think this one's on you.
- 30:58Speaker 2: That's a great that's a great Jackson Jackson.
- 31:02Speaker 9: Yeah, Jackson needs to get Jackson.
- 31:04Speaker 4: If you're listening, Pale, you're supposed to be recruiting.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you play like right next to the guy j Bones.
- 31:13Speaker 7: No, I'm just letting you know, if Jackson heard that,
- 31:16Speaker 7: he's judging you for good whatever j Bones was.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Judge me all you want. Uh, only one man can judge.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'll take it. I'll take it.
- 31:27Speaker 7: That's fine, that's fine. You commit to the school because
- 31:33Speaker 7: that's what's going to be the most important thing for
- 31:37Speaker 7: the rest of your life. So all right, you got
- 31:40Speaker 7: another one.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Okay, all right, we'll take a break more ot B
- 31:43Speaker 4: when we come back here live from the raising Kine studio.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Off the bench, all right, go to g c o
- 31:48Speaker 4: P net dot com, g c o p net dot com,
- 31:51Speaker 4: Gulf Coast Office Products.
- 31:53Speaker 2: If you are an.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Engineering firm, a law firm, hospital, a University of Bate,
- 32:00Speaker 4: well you know that when you need a document, you
- 32:02Speaker 4: need it right now, and if it gets delayed, that
- 32:06Speaker 4: can mess up your business, that can mess up the
- 32:09Speaker 4: function that you're trying to get done.

- 33:34Speaker 8: You didn't they they would come crashing.
- 33:38Speaker 12: No, all right, welcome back in oh t be here
- 33:49Speaker 12: live from the Raizy Caine Studio.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Pretty good breakup song here, Bud really.
- 33:59Speaker 8: Might be like my favor for it, just song of
- 34:01Speaker 8: all time.
- 34:02Speaker 2: It's pretty late, pretty good. I can't judge that, But
- 34:08Speaker 2: I said I can't judge that. Yeah, yeah, great song, Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 2: great breakup song.
- 34:17Speaker 7: When you look at what LSU did yesterday, they didn't
- 34:22Speaker 7: have the biggest class. We were talking about that, you know,
- 34:25Speaker 7: quality over quantity. There was some schools across the country
- 34:30Speaker 7: that signed forty and forty plus players. That's possible. It
- 34:36Speaker 7: is now, Yeah, you have a scholarship limit. It's no
- 34:38Speaker 7: longer the hard twenty five West Virginia rich Rod. We
- 34:41Speaker 7: had him on off campus yesterday. I was like, coach,
- 34:43Speaker 7: how many players you expect to sign to day? It's like,
- 34:45Speaker 7: I think forty one. I was like, what forty one?
- 34:48Speaker 7: It's almost an NFL roster. Belichick's nine over forty at
- 34:53Speaker 7: North Carolina hu USC who had the number one class.
- 34:58Speaker 7: You know, they have some really good players, so don't
- 35:00Speaker 7: get me wrong, but in large part because they signed
- 35:02Speaker 7: thirty five players.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Man, there is no rules to anything. There's no uniformity
- 35:10Speaker 4: to anything anymore. It's like, hey, LSU, you get you
- 35:13Speaker 4: signed sixteen players. This school for here signed forty and
- 35:18Speaker 4: then like LSU and the portal is probably gonna have
- 35:20Speaker 4: a massive, massive portal class, right. It's like, man, there
- 35:24Speaker 4: is used to is like you signed twenty five. That's
- 35:26Speaker 4: what it is. You get twenty five guys and coaches
- 35:28Speaker 4: try to be creative and that's when the old grey
- 35:31Speaker 4: shirting and everything came into play there. But yeah, you
- 35:34Speaker 4: got school signing over forty players yesterday.
- 35:37Speaker 2: My gosh, so a school signed forty players before these
- 35:43Speaker 2: high school kids even get off for Christmas break. It's
- 35:46Speaker 2: pretty wild to me, wild times in recruiting. So how
- 35:50Speaker 2: long has that rule been. It's a couple of years,
- 35:53Speaker 2: a couple of years. Yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 4: So they're just having mass exodus on their team West Virginia,
- 36:01Speaker 4: North Carolina, just people.
- 36:02Speaker 2: And that was the thing.
- 36:03Speaker 4: That's the thing that was kind of shocked, not shock.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I shouldn't.
- 36:07Speaker 4: I should not say shocking. No longer in college football
- 36:10Speaker 4: should anything shock us. But I was like, coach, you
- 36:13Speaker 4: got forty new ones coming in, Uh, what's that mean
- 36:16Speaker 4: for the rest of the year roster? He goes, oh, hey,
- 36:18Speaker 4: we just had exit meetings. I'm like, okay, cool, yep, elaborate.
- 36:22Speaker 4: He's like, well, sit down, hey, what you're playing you in?
- 36:26Speaker 4: Are you out? I was like that bluntly goes oh absolutely,
- 36:29Speaker 4: it's like you have to be. It's like, we sat
- 36:32Speaker 4: down with our players and it's like, all right, hey,
- 36:34Speaker 4: here's what we see. Here's blah blah blah. He's like,
- 36:36Speaker 4: and he said, I'm fum being honest. With you, Like,
- 36:39Speaker 4: you know, we tell some players, hey, you should probably
- 36:41Speaker 4: go look elsewhere.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I'm like, man, oh man, that is a different time.
- 36:46Speaker 7: It's like we sit down and if Little Johnny needs
- 36:48Speaker 7: to go put himself from the portal, we tell little Johnny, hey,
- 36:51Speaker 7: probably be best.
- 36:52Speaker 4: If you looked elsewhere. He said, it's that blunt. He said,
- 36:55Speaker 4: with every player, you have to be right. I know,
- 36:57Speaker 4: but it's just that's wild times. He's like, that's how
- 36:59Speaker 4: you forty players.
- 37:00Speaker 7: He's like the feedback that we got an exit meetings,
- 37:03Speaker 7: we knew that we were gonna have the roster ability
- 37:05Speaker 7: to do so.
- 37:05Speaker 4: He's like, we're still gonna be active in the portal too.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Fantastic, fantastic. Uh.
- 37:14Speaker 4: And that's every year, Like little Johnny last year was safe,
- 37:17Speaker 4: Little Gianty this year go getting the portal.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, you're not good enough, buddy.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't, Like I probably can't cut you.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Actually I think you can. Can you cut people? Basically?
- 37:27Speaker 7: I think you can now because it's one year scholarships.
- 37:29Speaker 7: It's always been one of your scholarships. Every year they
- 37:33Speaker 7: got ever do it. Even when we were playing, I
- 37:36Speaker 7: had no idea. Well, he didn't get cut didn't get cut.
- 37:40Speaker 7: I don't did anybody ever?
- 37:43Speaker 4: Yes, the guys that were asked to medical that was
- 37:46Speaker 4: getting cut, all right, okay, fair enough.
- 37:49Speaker 2: How many guys?
- 37:50Speaker 4: But they we signed with the jam their finger that
- 37:52Speaker 4: had a paper cut, and they're like, hey, you should
- 37:56Speaker 4: probably just take a medical.
- 37:58Speaker 2: We'll pay for your school in your room, the whole deal. Books.
- 38:03Speaker 2: This looks pretty bad, But I don't think you need
- 38:04Speaker 2: to be out here anymore. Okay, yeah, that's fair, but
- 38:07Speaker 2: that wouldn't a lot of people. I think that's probably
- 38:10Speaker 2: meaning right now, if you're bringing in for you're bringing
- 38:13Speaker 2: forty one people.
- 38:14Speaker 7: If people got cut when we were playing by medical red, like, hey,
- 38:17Speaker 7: you're going not a medical red hair like you're getting
- 38:19Speaker 7: medical meaning you can't come out here anymore.
- 38:22Speaker 4: You're still on scholarship. It doesn't count towards our number.
- 38:25Speaker 4: We're gonna pay for everything like your own scholarship. You
- 38:28Speaker 4: just can't be in this building anymore.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Can you imagine Bill Belichick who's been in the NFL
- 38:35Speaker 2: for a long time, like he personally cut people himself,
- 38:37Speaker 2: Like he called me to cut me and I was
- 38:39Speaker 2: there for three weeks, right, he cut He called me
- 38:42Speaker 2: to personally tell me with his own voice that I
- 38:45Speaker 2: was being released. Can you imagine him if he's if
- 38:47Speaker 2: he's bringing in what you say, forty one players.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Or something like that, he's forty five.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Can you imagine like these college these college kids just
- 38:55Speaker 2: talking with Bill Belichick, who's got like you know, he's
- 38:57Speaker 2: been callous doing this for I don't know, thirty years,
- 39:02Speaker 2: forty years, just like, yeah, sorry, I gotta let you go.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Oh coach, I'm enrolled in school here, no fact, I
- 39:08Speaker 2: don't know.
- 39:08Speaker 7: Yeah, sorry, you're true, because I'm sure, like I'm sure
- 39:12Speaker 7: Rich Rod or whoever we're talking about here. Probably Hey,
- 39:15Speaker 7: gosh man, little Johnny man, you made a couple of plays,
- 39:17Speaker 7: and we really appreciate the work ethic and the things
- 39:20Speaker 7: you brought to practice every day on the scout look.
- 39:23Speaker 2: And it was just like, hey, we're just going to
- 39:25Speaker 2: let you go. Yeah, we gotta let you go, bud uh. Yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 2: that was That's how it was.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I was probably too much of a term of endearment.
- 39:30Speaker 2: We had a uh yeah, we were in training camp
- 39:32Speaker 2: and we had the day off, and so we're of
- 39:35Speaker 2: course in Foxboro and me and Lacy decided to take
- 39:38Speaker 2: a little just a little jiunt down to down to
- 39:41Speaker 2: the Cape. We were driving to the Cape, and I
- 39:44Speaker 2: wasn't really enjoying my time up there, so this didn't
- 39:47Speaker 2: upset me. So I kind of like laughed it off,
- 39:48Speaker 2: but like, yeah, I got a call. We were we
- 39:50Speaker 2: were stopped to get gas at a gas station. I
- 39:52Speaker 2: got a call from a uh a number i'd recognize for,
- 39:55Speaker 2: you know, the Patriots, And he's like, yeah, yeah, man,
- 39:59Speaker 2: this is good fellow chick. Uh yeah, we appreciate your time.
- 40:03Speaker 2: We're just gonna have to let you go today. You know,
- 40:05Speaker 2: good arm talent, wish you luck, thanks many okay, good?
- 40:10Speaker 4: Yeah, no, good good.
- 40:15Speaker 2: And I hung up and I looked at Lacey and
- 40:16Speaker 2: I was like, let's go have fun. Yeah, good times.
- 40:21Speaker 4: He actually might be set up better for this. I
- 40:23Speaker 4: did have it backwards though. West Virginia was forty five,
- 40:26Speaker 4: in North Carolina was forty yep Okay.
- 40:31Speaker 2: One of my favorite stories coming out of yesterday was
- 40:36Speaker 2: the story that popped out about Penn State, who is
- 40:41Speaker 2: currently ranked one hundred and twenty eighth. It's so good
- 40:45Speaker 2: in the country. Their recruiting class one hundred and twenty eight.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Penn State Pennsylvania famously, of course, they they fire James
- 40:54Speaker 2: Franklin with of course no plan. They still have no coach,
- 40:56Speaker 2: and like, what are we doing? What do we say
- 41:01Speaker 2: Kentucky's got a coach before they do? Yeah, pretty much.
- 41:04Speaker 8: Who was the last to fire?
- 41:06Speaker 2: Therefore they were first, very first. Okay, so they had
- 41:11Speaker 2: they had honed in on their coach to be what
- 41:15Speaker 2: they wanted. Of course the b YU coach, right, yeah,
- 41:19Speaker 2: well the b YU they found some money. Crumble CEO
- 41:25Speaker 2: what's his name, Jason McGowan decided all right, let's pony
- 41:28Speaker 2: up a little money I got. I saw a ton
- 41:31Speaker 2: of cookies every single day, expensing ones too. They sell
- 41:33Speaker 2: out every single time. So they helped them walk in.
- 41:37Speaker 2: So they got their coach. They re signed him at
- 41:39Speaker 2: b YU for nine and nine and a half million,
- 41:41Speaker 2: so of course left Penn State standing at the altar. Well,
- 41:45Speaker 2: what did James Franklin do? Not Patty at all? Is
- 41:47Speaker 2: he no? You know, had media in and he was
- 41:50Speaker 2: serving Crumble cookies everybody good for him, Good for him.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I didn't think he had that in. I didn't think
- 41:57Speaker 2: he did either.
- 42:00Speaker 8: Ranked twenty work.
- 42:02Speaker 5: In matt the state is one hundred and fifty. Yes,
- 42:07Speaker 5: they're behind South Dakota State.
- 42:10Speaker 8: They're behind Colgate.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Yeah, there's only one hundred Colgate's state.
- 42:16Speaker 8: Yeah, but so Virginia was one hundred and twenty one.
- 42:21Speaker 8: There were one hundred and twenty one.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And this is going to take some time to come
- 42:26Speaker 2: back from this Penn State. This is going to hurt.
- 42:29Speaker 2: And my god, your ex coach James Franklin just trolled.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Yeah they ever live in mess He controlled out of
- 42:35Speaker 2: James Franklin with a cookie. You retired for the rest
- 42:38Speaker 2: of you got trolled with a box of delicious cookies.
- 42:42Speaker 9: Someone sent Crumble to the athletic director's office.
- 42:45Speaker 2: So good, it's so fantastic. I love everything.

- 45:12Speaker 7: to promote interim head coach Terry Smith.
- 45:14Speaker 2: To the full time head coach.
- 45:18Speaker 7: Cool, don't know that that is going to be the
- 45:21Speaker 7: best move for Penn State.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Do you know much about Terry Smith?
- 45:25Speaker 4: He's just a lifer position coach.
- 45:28Speaker 2: You just you called him a standard. You just called
- 45:30Speaker 2: him a standard pretty much. That's what he is.
- 45:32Speaker 7: He's a lifer position coach. Like he's never really been
- 45:37Speaker 7: more than that. And that's fine. Obviously, there's a great
- 45:39Speaker 7: coaches that that's what they are. I don't think he's
- 45:42Speaker 7: ever been a coordinator. He's been associate head coach, you know,
- 45:48Speaker 7: he's been. He's had titles assistant head coach. But no,
- 45:52Speaker 7: he like, he played at Penn State, so he's a
- 45:54Speaker 7: Penn State guy through and through. He's coached at Penn
- 45:57Speaker 7: State since twenty fourteen in different roles, but they've all
- 46:00Speaker 7: been as a position coach. He did play for the
- 46:02Speaker 7: Shreveport Pirates in the CFL, so that does give him
- 46:06Speaker 7: some clout with me.
- 46:07Speaker 4: But that's about it. Three and three as his time
- 46:11Speaker 4: as the intermhead coach.
- 46:11Speaker 2: All right. So they're doing all right, They're doing pretty good.
- 46:15Speaker 2: There's a lot of I know, there's a lot of
- 46:17Speaker 2: Strangely enough, there's rumors for the Bower over there. The
- 46:21Speaker 2: boar can't ever say that. Power he's just saying about
- 46:24Speaker 2: Kaylin de bour Well seems like a devower. He looks
- 46:28Speaker 2: like a debower to me.
- 46:29Speaker 4: Penn State got coaches paid three hundred and seventy million
- 46:33Speaker 4: dollars in extensions for having their name attached to Penn State.
- 46:37Speaker 4: All right, hour two, coming back your way here from
- 46:39Speaker 4: the lie I raise the case studio off the bench.
