Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Alright, alright, yeah, comment to you live from Philly. It's
- 0:09Speaker 1: the Polly and Tony Foulsco Sho yo has always Polly
- 0:15Speaker 1: Fosco here with Tony Fosco and Tony Yo. Huge week
- 0:20Speaker 1: for Philly sports once again, total domination by the Eagles.
- 0:25Speaker 1: You know, we'll tell you why they're the best seven
- 0:27Speaker 1: and O team ever in case you don't realize that already,
- 0:30Speaker 1: which you should not even a question. Also a comment
- 0:33Speaker 1: by Dak Prescott that should have Cowboys fans worried, sick.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And of course you know we'll talk about the Phillies
- 0:39Speaker 1: and that total domination they're doing the World Series. Now.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Just to be clear, we moved up our usual recording
- 0:46Speaker 1: time because we want to watch Wednesday's Game four. So
- 0:50Speaker 1: if you're looking for a postgame recap here, it is
- 0:53Speaker 1: Phillies won. Yeah, it wasn't even close. That's your precious recap.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And don't worry. We'll talk baseball here in just a moment.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But first, you know, our idiot guest book has struck again.
- 1:04Speaker 1: You know, we told him to go out and get
- 1:06Speaker 1: a huge guest to discuss football. You know he goes ahead,
- 1:11Speaker 1: don't he? And he books of all people in offensive lineman.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Nobody has ever cared what an offensive lineman has to say. Yeah,
- 1:20Speaker 1: when we said book a huge guest, we didn't mean
- 1:22Speaker 1: in terms of body size, right anyway, Well, he calls
- 1:25Speaker 1: himself a three time super Bowl champion, even though you
- 1:28Speaker 1: know he's an offensive lineman. So how much could he
- 1:30Speaker 1: have really have done there? You know? All right? His
- 1:32Speaker 1: name is Mark Schlerath. And before we get into a
- 1:35Speaker 1: top story and everything, all right, a quick message from
- 1:38Speaker 1: our good friends at the Diamond Vault. Are you getting married? Well,
- 1:43Speaker 1: that's a mistake you likely can't change at this point,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but you can't avoid wasting money on a diamond, isn't
- 1:49Speaker 1: that right? Don't yeah, get her a fake. She won't
- 1:53Speaker 1: be able to tell the difference anyway, but you'll will
- 1:56Speaker 1: in your bank account. Absolutely the diamonds. Okay, Tony, Now
- 2:02Speaker 1: that we got that business out of the way, we
- 2:03Speaker 1: got big stories to get though, don't we. So let's
- 2:06Speaker 1: kick it off right now with our darb story story
- 2:13Speaker 1: of course, first story right out the gate, Philly's on
- 2:17Speaker 1: their way to becoming World Series Change. You know, Tony,
- 2:21Speaker 1: who cares what happens in Game four? Dozen't matter? Game? Yeah?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Game three told us everything we don't need to see.
- 2:28Speaker 1: The rest the game was over Hopper's moonshot first danding
- 2:32Speaker 1: over and you know, frankly, it was just uncompetitive and
- 2:35Speaker 1: I have to say boring from there. You know, in
- 2:38Speaker 1: the sixth inning around there, Tony, I actually started hoping
- 2:42Speaker 1: the Astros would start cheating again, you know, just to
- 2:45Speaker 1: keep it somewhat interesting. I mean, you're absolutely right, that
- 2:49Speaker 1: would have actually been better. You know, don't let them
- 2:52Speaker 1: cheat enough where they could win, but maybe give them
- 2:55Speaker 1: two or three trash camp bangs per game, just to
- 2:57Speaker 1: keep it close and not totally milliate the Astros, I mean,
- 3:02Speaker 1: just to make it competitive. Great suggestion, Tony. And you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I hope the MLB is listening here, because you know,
- 3:08Speaker 1: everybody out there already knows the astros odd degenerate cheatahs.
- 3:12Speaker 1: This is no secret. So why not just let them
- 3:14Speaker 1: go ahead and make cheating part of the game, right, Yeah?
- 3:19Speaker 1: You know, like you could see broadcasters working into the broadcast,
- 3:23Speaker 1: like al Tovey at the play. Oh he strikes out
- 3:27Speaker 1: on three pitches. Looks like he should have used his
- 3:30Speaker 1: trash camp bang there, total missed up at donated for
- 3:33Speaker 1: al cool. See that right there makes the game so
- 3:37Speaker 1: much more interesting, adds a whole another layer, and you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: we gotta consider preserving the game of baseball. Here, Tonty
- 3:44Speaker 1: in the World Series has hundreds of millions of viewers.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You you can't bore them, you know, with shutout ball games.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And when you look at it, more cheating would be
- 3:53Speaker 1: good for the game. Couldn't agree more? Well, now we
- 3:57Speaker 1: got to turn our attention to another huge story out
- 4:00Speaker 1: of Philly. More domination by the Eagles improving to seven
- 4:04Speaker 1: and oh after that decisive win over the Steelers. And
- 4:08Speaker 1: you know, Tony, I think it's clear to say, without
- 4:10Speaker 1: a doubt, Eagles are the best seven and note team
- 4:13Speaker 1: in NFL history. All you gotta do, right is look
- 4:16Speaker 1: at the teams they've beaten, right, don'ty, Yeah, we totaled
- 4:19Speaker 1: it up. The teams they've beaten have want to combine
- 4:22Speaker 1: twenty two NFL championships. The Steelers, the Cowboys, and Commanders
- 4:28Speaker 1: have all won championships recently in the last twenty five
- 4:32Speaker 1: years or so, and the Lions, Vikings and Cardinals they
- 4:36Speaker 1: also want tons of NFL championships very recently in the
- 4:40Speaker 1: last half century or so. And the Jaguas. Their coach
- 4:44Speaker 1: won a Super Bowl, so that counts too. Terrific perspective
- 4:49Speaker 1: as always, Donty. Now to another team in the nfcast,
- 4:53Speaker 1: Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. They beat the Bears whatever
- 4:56Speaker 1: nobody cares as his comments before the game from Dak
- 5:00Speaker 1: Prescott that have got to have Cowboys fans everywhere very concerned.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Dak told reporters, quote, I want to win. If that
- 5:09Speaker 1: means going out there and throwing it twenty times, two
- 5:13Speaker 1: hundred yards and no t ds, I'll do that or
- 5:17Speaker 1: four hundred yards and five tds. I just care about
- 5:21Speaker 1: the final score. Tony, this just shows you that Dak
- 5:25Speaker 1: Prescott has a fundamental misunderstanding of the game of football.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Isn't that right? Absolutely does this guy understand how football
- 5:34Speaker 1: even works. You win games by scoring touchdowns. If your
- 5:39Speaker 1: quarterback is saying it's okay for him to throw no touchdowns,
- 5:42Speaker 1: then that's bothers some. I mean, how can you be
- 5:45Speaker 1: okay with being terrible at your job? You know, Tony,
- 5:49Speaker 1: there's a disturbing trend in the business world right now
- 5:52Speaker 1: called quiet quitting, where people just stop doing their jobs,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and sadly, it looks like Dac one of these quiet quitters.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I mean, you look at his stats this season. Not good,
- 6:05Speaker 1: not good at all. You know, you look at the
- 6:07Speaker 1: most important stat for a quarterback, touchdown passes, Dak only
- 6:12Speaker 1: has three, putting him in a seven way tie with
- 6:15Speaker 1: names like Mitch Trobiskie, Teddy Bridgewater, P J. Walker, and
- 6:20Speaker 1: Zack Wilson. Embarrassing, absolutely embarrassing for Dak Prescott. Stats like that,
- 6:27Speaker 1: stats like that, you just can't argue with you. Of course,
- 6:30Speaker 1: they just expose everything, all right. Finally, do a story
- 6:33Speaker 1: out of the NBA. You know, we're only a few
- 6:36Speaker 1: games into the NBA season, so nobody gets a crap
- 6:39Speaker 1: about what's happening the NBA. Nobody, But we did see
- 6:42Speaker 1: this story just come across the wire. Uh. This is
- 6:45Speaker 1: from ESPN. Russell Westbrook buys house in Los Angeles, across
- 6:50Speaker 1: the street from Lebron Jameson. Yeah. This is just such
- 6:56Speaker 1: a great lesson for other pro athletes, isn't it, Because
- 6:59Speaker 1: you know, if you're worried about losing your job, well,
- 7:02Speaker 1: this is what you should do. Sound smart, right, Just
- 7:04Speaker 1: simply buy a mansion right across the street from someone
- 7:08Speaker 1: more important on the team. They're not gonna get rid
- 7:10Speaker 1: of you, right, Tony. Yeah, you know, Corson Wentz would
- 7:14Speaker 1: still be an Eagle if he just followed this strategy.
- 7:17Speaker 1: After games he used to go off into the woods
- 7:20Speaker 1: where nobody lived except squirrels and birds. Maybe if he
- 7:24Speaker 1: bought a house next to Jalen Hurts, he'd still be
- 7:26Speaker 1: on the team. You have to one that. And you know,
- 7:29Speaker 1: on the subject to Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, we're
- 7:32Speaker 1: gonna discuss that with our guest. I see him coming
- 7:35Speaker 1: on the line, so let's bring him on the Fusto
- 7:37Speaker 1: Satellite Network. Satellite all right, this guy, he's a three
- 7:44Speaker 1: time Super Bowl champion with Washington and Denver, albeit as
- 7:48Speaker 1: an offensive lineman, so you know, not quite as impressive,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but you know, still okay, okay, you know, can you
- 7:53Speaker 1: can now see him on Fox Sports and listen to
- 7:56Speaker 1: him on Denver's one oh four point three the Fan.
- 8:00Speaker 1: All right, let's bring him in. Mark Schliff, welcome to
- 8:03Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, I appreciate it, Tony Paul. He's always
- 8:07Speaker 1: good to be on with you guys. Obviously the main
- 8:10Speaker 1: topic Eagles seven and oh thoughts. Hey, listen, man, I've
- 8:17Speaker 1: done two Eagles games um this year, and and I've
- 8:20Speaker 1: got another positive things to say. Well, I've got a
- 8:22Speaker 1: few things that i'd like to see, uh, you know,
- 8:26Speaker 1: going forward, because I still don't think they put four
- 8:28Speaker 1: quarters together already going negative? Yeah, ten seconds in ten seconds,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and that's how long it took you. You couldn't. This
- 8:38Speaker 1: is why you know you played for Washington. You still
- 8:40Speaker 1: got a little bias against Philly. I'm just telling you
- 8:47Speaker 1: what i'd like to see moving forward. Now here's the
- 8:50Speaker 1: thing that I don't what you'd like to see moving forward.
- 8:54Speaker 1: The team is seven and home. They've beaten the Steelers, Cowboys,
- 8:58Speaker 1: both reputable oranizations, and you want to change things? Explain No,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I just said I want to see them put four
- 9:06Speaker 1: quarters together in one game. They every game, okay, for
- 9:13Speaker 1: four I'd like to see them offensively performed for four
- 9:16Speaker 1: straight quarters. Here's the thing. I'll tell you the moment.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Hold on what's going on here. As an offensive lineman,
- 9:23Speaker 1: it must be harder for you to to observe the
- 9:26Speaker 1: game because your head is always buried in other guys.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Maybe maybe you just don't know what's going on in
- 9:32Speaker 1: the game because this this analysis makes no sense. Yeah, well,
- 9:37Speaker 1: here here's the deal. I think that the Philadelphia Eagles
- 9:40Speaker 1: are right now, as constructed, the best team in the NFC.
- 9:45Speaker 1: There you go, okay, yeah, well, I think in the
- 9:51Speaker 1: NFC they're the best team. And we now, we don't go.
- 9:54Speaker 1: We're not gonna get into how they would fare against
- 9:57Speaker 1: Kansas City or how they fare against the buff Low Bills.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Right now, I think they are. I think they are
- 10:03Speaker 1: the best team in the NFC. Here's what I love
- 10:05Speaker 1: about them. All right, let's start off. Maybe I started off.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I apologize. Okay, okay, all right, here's what I love.
- 10:15Speaker 1: There are some teams that are big and strong. There
- 10:18Speaker 1: are some teams that are fast and athletic. The Philadelphia
- 10:21Speaker 1: Eagles are big, strong, fast, and athletic. They can beat
- 10:24Speaker 1: you in a myriad of different ways. They can pound
- 10:27Speaker 1: on the rock on you, they can beat you up physically.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But they also have style points right, they're athletic, they
- 10:34Speaker 1: can get to the edge. Best seven and team in
- 10:38Speaker 1: NFLS Would you agree? No? I would not. Again, I
- 10:43Speaker 1: wouldn't agree with that. I was on an old team
- 10:46Speaker 1: that won a world championship. I was on You have
- 10:53Speaker 1: tuble admitting I was on a third teen and no
- 10:57Speaker 1: team in Denver, so that takes in the West. Yeah, right,
- 11:05Speaker 1: we played you, well, we played the Eagles that year
- 11:07Speaker 1: and we ran them out of I mean we absolutely
- 11:10Speaker 1: curb stomped the Eagles about things from twenty years ago. Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 1: what are you gonna tell me that, you know, Friends
- 11:17Speaker 1: is the best TV show on right now? Exactly what
- 11:21Speaker 1: kind of references that? Talking? Now? You're a sports talk person. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I am talking the now. I told you I think
- 11:29Speaker 1: they're I think they are constructed in a way that
- 11:33Speaker 1: makes him exceptionally hard to play. Look, I mean, I
- 11:37Speaker 1: think the Philadelphia Eagles are great, but I would like
- 11:40Speaker 1: to see them play four quarters of football. They beat Washington,
- 11:44Speaker 1: they didn't score after halftime, they beat they beat the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings, didn't score after half. Didn't like basic, but
- 11:55Speaker 1: I would Would you like to see it? Who you
- 11:57Speaker 1: like to score after? Just let's just ask the drunk.
- 12:00Speaker 1: You know you're you're kind of jealous because you know
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's tough for you as a Washington player. Just admit
- 12:07Speaker 1: get I'm take take. Let's hear it right now. I
- 12:10Speaker 1: admit that you're biased, and you can admit it right here.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I know I will not I will not admit I
- 12:16Speaker 1: like I really like the Eagles, and I like the
- 12:19Speaker 1: I like the coaching stabb One one question, how did
- 12:23Speaker 1: you get the nickname stink? How do you get the
- 12:25Speaker 1: nickname stink? Uh? It comes from rotten fish edge in
- 12:29Speaker 1: the last No, no, no, no, no, it comes from
- 12:32Speaker 1: your performance interview. Yes, that's right, you're off this show
- 12:38Speaker 1: because you're show offensive lineman, you're just offensive? Yeah? Is
- 12:51Speaker 1: he off the line? Jay? Hang up the phone. Talk
- 12:54Speaker 1: about four quarters? I could he used only one quarter
- 12:57Speaker 1: of that interview or less? Exactly? All right, anyway, let's
- 13:01Speaker 1: just wrap the show there on a get out on
- 13:04Speaker 1: a good note. We're gonna thank god sponsors are good
- 13:07Speaker 1: friends at the what who if it isn't produced a
- 13:13Speaker 1: Jay who belongs in a vault and we throw away
- 13:15Speaker 1: the game? Stank Jr? What you said, Dak has only
- 13:20Speaker 1: three total passing touchdowns? Yeah, he's only played in like
- 13:25Speaker 1: two and a half games. Yeah, and he only has
- 13:27Speaker 1: three pathetic Yeah, okay, but look, you can't use totals
- 13:31Speaker 1: when a guy has been out, especially due to an injury.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well you do foreign injury. Yeah, we're gonna
- 13:42Speaker 1: total yo. Now that's it. We're done. Second, you said
- 13:49Speaker 1: the World series gets hundreds of millions of viewers. Yeah, no.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Game one got eleven million viewers, which was decent, but
- 13:59Speaker 1: a little short of hundreds of millions. Not that many
- 14:04Speaker 1: people are watching, yeah, just like not many people are
- 14:09Speaker 1: watching this part of the show where you ramble on. Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: I guess how many people are watching you? Zero? Last one,
- 14:17Speaker 1: what you said Carson Wentz lived out in the woods. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: huge mistake. He lived in a house in South Jersey.
- 14:26Speaker 1: That leads to an important question, can you go live
- 14:29Speaker 1: in the woods. Yeah, they're gonna find your body out
- 14:33Speaker 1: in the woods if you don't stop interrupt in the show.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Enough positive way to go out justin just found out.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Came across next week, booked on the show Nick Foles, perfect,
