- 2:24Speaker 2: and just watching my savings over the years. Do this
- 2:30Speaker 2: because everything is so expensive, Just dip it into savings
- 2:33Speaker 2: every month, every month, every month. You know, I said
- 2:36Speaker 2: to my wife something, something's got a gift. So start

- 3:02Speaker 1: That's right, Yeah, we did.
- 3:06Speaker 4: So like to No, I don't know, I know, I was.
- 3:11Speaker 6: I was gonna ask Daniel if he could give the
- 3:12Speaker 6: like what the coffee account is? Oh yeah, because we
- 3:16Speaker 6: haven't talked about it in a long time.
- 3:18Speaker 2: No, No, And I'm pretty sure like it's for shuttlecraft
- 3:23Speaker 2: repairs if I remember correctly the original.
- 3:27Speaker 4: It's like the second or third line item.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's uh ko oh you know, I'll just put
- 3:34Speaker 1: it on the screen that I'll do. Okay, boom there
- 3:43Speaker 1: it is boom ko dot slash f I or what

- 3:58Speaker 6: way that you could if you wanted to donate to

- 4:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a tip jar that we leave on.

- 4:16Speaker 6: We're begging for money because uh, you know, I don't
- 4:19Speaker 6: know if everybody knows this.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Hosting this show is not free.
- 4:22Speaker 1: No, there's a lot of cost to it. Actually, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and then one of our things just doubled in cost
- 4:31Speaker 1: even though we're at the same level stream Yard.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Right right, yeah, thanks thanks stream Yard.
- 4:37Speaker 6: Everybody gets the show for free. Everybody can watch the
- 4:40Speaker 6: show for free, and so there is a so yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 6: there there is a cost involved for hosting the show
- 4:47Speaker 6: and doing the doing the podcast. So you know, if
- 4:50Speaker 6: you guys are enjoying the show, if you could, you know,
- 4:53Speaker 6: head over to the the coffee count or head over
- 4:57Speaker 6: to trekcast dot com, check out the checkout the merchancie.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And you know, we haven't done it in a while,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but you know the way we used to do it
- 5:04Speaker 2: is if if you leave a donation and you leave
- 5:08Speaker 2: a message as yep, as long as it's uh safe
- 5:13Speaker 2: for work, safe for school message.
- 5:15Speaker 5: We will read it on the air or whatever whatever
- 5:18Speaker 5: it is.
- 5:18Speaker 2: So you know, if you want me to read your
- 5:22Speaker 2: message telling Scott what you truly think of him, wow,
- 5:27Speaker 2: you just you just gotta you know, you gotta attach
- 5:30Speaker 2: a fiver to it.
- 5:31Speaker 5: That's all.
- 5:32Speaker 4: That's right, That's right.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Yes, And that goes the other way too.
- 5:38Speaker 2: If you want Scott to tell me how great I am,
- 5:41Speaker 2: just attach a fiver to it.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I mean, I would appreciate the donation, but Dan, I
- 5:46Speaker 4: would do that for free.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Oh thanks pal.
- 5:50Speaker 6: See Daniel, I always found that if you kill him
- 5:52Speaker 6: with kindness, they end up looking like the jerk.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Exactly what you're exactly exactly.
- 6:02Speaker 5: All right?
- 6:03Speaker 4: We feed him almost every day.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I'll give you a fiver, you say, let's see, we
- 6:12Speaker 1: should probably get to star trek News. I heard we
- 6:15Speaker 1: have some Yeah, no, I found one, all right?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Cool?
- 6:20Speaker 5: Cool star trek news.
- 6:24Speaker 1: All right, so our news story comes to us from
- 6:27Speaker 1: trekmovie dot com. And I thought this was kind of interesting.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They did an interview with that Jerry O'Connell. You know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: Lower Decks are starting to wrap up, and in the interview,
- 6:38Speaker 1: you know, he talks a lot about being on lower decks,
- 6:40Speaker 1: how much he loves it. It's kind of with him
- 6:43Speaker 1: and his wife for first officers. But the great thing
- 6:46Speaker 1: that I thought in the interview was pretty funny, kind
- 6:49Speaker 1: of buried all the way down. He talks about how
- 6:53Speaker 1: he would love to do a Slider's reboot or a
- 6:59Speaker 1: Bible trying to find their way back home.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean if I only watched that show a
- 7:10Speaker 2: couple of times, but it's about parallel universe, right, alternate right, Yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 2: So I mean this is I can't even say the year.
- 7:19Speaker 2: This is the decade of the multiverse in pop culture.
- 7:24Speaker 2: So if if this was going to get a revival
- 7:25Speaker 2: at any point time, now, now would be the time.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they brought back Quantum Leaps, the same idea, yeah, roughly,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you know. So yeah, so I thought that was kind
- 7:37Speaker 1: of funny that he definitely wants to do Sliders again.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Did you guys ever watch Slighters back in the day?
- 7:44Speaker 2: I did once once or twice. I'm still holding out
- 7:46Speaker 2: for my secret identity. Uh reboot what that was him?
- 7:51Speaker 5: Too? Right? Was it not him?
- 7:53Speaker 1: I don't even know that show.
- 7:55Speaker 5: You don't know that show?
- 7:56Speaker 2: The kid, the teenage kid, he is the he has
- 8:00Speaker 2: the scientist lives next door. He gets his apped by
- 8:02Speaker 2: the scientist s lazer and and he gets uh, he
- 8:05Speaker 2: gets superpowers. But he was totally a comic book nerd.
- 8:10Speaker 5: My secret. You don't remember that?
- 8:12Speaker 1: There he is?
- 8:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, see all right, don't don't doubt me,
- 8:19Speaker 2: don't one.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I just don't remember it.
- 8:23Speaker 6: The picture I see from this guy, Yeah, that picture
- 8:27Speaker 6: that looks like he's a year or two older than
- 8:29Speaker 6: he was.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Didn't stand by me.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Oh it's a Canadian show, that's why.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Oh so it was half the show and it only show.
- 8:38Speaker 4: It only showed in Canada.
- 8:41Speaker 2: No, no, no, there's so many shows that are Canadian
- 8:46Speaker 2: that people don't even realize.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Do you ever, says Sliders was just Ransom in the
- 8:51Speaker 1: Holiday with Leonardo da Vinci.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, Hey.
- 8:57Speaker 4: That'll work.
- 8:57Speaker 6: I'm surprised they haven't done stuff like that. And like
- 9:01Speaker 6: done how in Lower Decks done stuff like hollow Deck programs,
- 9:05Speaker 6: you know, like with Ransom doing sliders or or something
- 9:09Speaker 6: like that.
- 9:09Speaker 2: You know, I'm sure they that guy, Derek, Derek McGrath
- 9:13Speaker 2: if he played the the the scientist next door and
- 9:17Speaker 2: he must have been he must have been in Star Trek.
- 9:21Speaker 1: This guy.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he was like a character actor in the I
- 9:27Speaker 2: mean in the eighties and ninth Friendship Day.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Well, of course everybody wasn't for that.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That's right.
- 9:37Speaker 7: Uh.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He was in the Thanksgiving Murder movie. I don't see
- 9:43Speaker 1: him in Startrek man.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I mean, everybody was the Thanksgiving Murder movie.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Derek McGrath. Let me see, Yeah, he's gotta be Is that.
- 9:52Speaker 5: A low order lord order? Yeah, order, let's see.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Oh he was. He played the blue guy.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Yep, there you go.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so there you go.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Boom.
- 10:11Speaker 4: That was was that's a boy guy, that's that's Krell.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Krill uh shell.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I think, oh my god, I think that was.
- 10:23Speaker 1: That was the only warning.
- 10:26Speaker 8: NERD alert, nerd alert.
- 10:30Speaker 2: The fact that you just knew right off the dome
- 10:33Speaker 2: that was was that there Lower Decks episode you remember
- 10:36Speaker 2: when uh.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was like.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Like four crewmen that sucked, and Jane was like, I'm
- 10:41Speaker 2: gonna spend the weekend with him.
- 10:43Speaker 5: That's right, the shadow Craft.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna be space mob all right. Our next news story, and.
- 10:52Speaker 5: You said there was no Star Trek news, Look at you.
- 10:56Speaker 5: I found one.
- 11:00Speaker 1: We found it this morning.
- 11:01Speaker 5: There's always always Star Trek news.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I try man. The next new story comes to us
- 11:06Speaker 1: from the direct and there is rumors about that we
- 11:11Speaker 1: will be getting the first James Gunn Superman trailer this week.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So apparently the Internet scoopers are going crazy saying it
- 11:20Speaker 1: will come out at some point this week. The trailer
- 11:24Speaker 1: as a Christmas gift to the DC vans. So I
- 11:29Speaker 1: know we're Superman fans here, so I figured i'd bring
- 11:32Speaker 1: this up. What do you guys think? Do you think
- 11:33Speaker 1: we'll get it?
- 11:34Speaker 6: Looks like I feel cautiously optimistic, but ready for disappointment.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Here's here's what I'm expecting. I'm expecting the opposite of
- 11:48Speaker 2: Zack Snyder's Superman in that it's going to be a
- 11:54Speaker 2: good story with bright colors and he understands the character.
- 11:59Speaker 5: But the costume sucks.
- 12:01Speaker 2: The costume just sucks, which you know, Zack Snyder, I
- 12:08Speaker 2: pretty much liked nothing about his movies, and I even
- 12:16Speaker 2: have problems with the costume. The costume was good, except
- 12:19Speaker 2: it was too dark and he needed the chunks because
- 12:24Speaker 2: the trunks make Superman, that's just who he is.
- 12:29Speaker 4: What's your favorite live action costume?
- 12:34Speaker 5: My favorite live action costume? I I don't know.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I look at them and I want to and I
- 12:44Speaker 2: want to take elements from this one and elements from
- 12:47Speaker 2: from that one. There's a scene in there's a scene
- 12:51Speaker 2: in an early episode of Superman and Lois where where
- 12:57Speaker 2: he's wearing the original costume that his mom for him.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yep.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I love everything about it except the s if
- 13:09Speaker 2: the s was it was like that early nineteen thirties,
- 13:13Speaker 2: nineteen forties s if. If they had a more current
- 13:18Speaker 2: s on that costume, it would be perfect. Or if
- 13:21Speaker 2: the costume he wore for most of the series had
- 13:25Speaker 2: the trunks, it would be perfect.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:29Speaker 2: But like to one that they they got said, I
- 13:34Speaker 2: was just gonna said this one, that this one that
- 13:35Speaker 2: the new guy is wearing. It's got the trunks great,
- 13:38Speaker 2: it's got the colors great. It's the brighter blue, it's
- 13:42Speaker 2: the brighter red, it's got the s on the back,
- 13:45Speaker 2: but the s is wrong, it's all wrong, and the
- 13:49Speaker 2: collar that he has is wrong. But this picture that's
- 13:52Speaker 2: on the screen right now, that's that's somebody photoshopped that.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I like.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I like when the cape is tucked into his uh,
- 14:03Speaker 2: into his the top of his shirt, not that you
- 14:06Speaker 2: should not where you see the blue collar above the cape, right,
- 14:11Speaker 2: that's a New fifty two type thing.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And I don't I promise you every movie that this
- 14:15Speaker 1: guy's going to be in it will be a different
- 14:17Speaker 1: costume so they can sell more action figures.
- 14:22Speaker 2: But you know what, for all I know, this is
- 14:24Speaker 2: what he's wearing the first fifteen minutes, it right, and
- 14:26Speaker 2: it gets ripped up and he puts on something different,
- 14:30Speaker 2: and it's yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 6: That's what I'm hoping, because this one looks like it's
- 14:33Speaker 6: ripped right from the cartoon. It looks like it was
- 14:36Speaker 6: made by a Superman fan that's got some pretty damn
- 14:39Speaker 6: good like costume making skills, you know.
- 14:43Speaker 4: But that's it.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Yeah, Like, this is something that it looks like something
- 14:47Speaker 6: I would see at a comic con and really be
- 14:49Speaker 6: blown away by it. But it doesn't look like a
- 14:51Speaker 6: movie quality costume. My favorite Superman costume is the one
- 14:54Speaker 6: from Superman Returns.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I liked. I just liked it. I thought it was
- 14:58Speaker 4: the right shade. I like the I don't like big S.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Oh no, that's that's my only gripe with that costume.
- 15:06Speaker 4: I like the smaller.
- 15:08Speaker 2: The S needs to be bigger and it's and it
- 15:09Speaker 2: wasn't on the back of his his uh his cap.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Okay, if you like big S's, then I would recommend
- 15:17Speaker 6: that you look up uh, Bollywood Superman.
- 15:21Speaker 4: You look up Bollywood Superman.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Yeah, well his ass was pinned to his shoulders. That
- 15:25Speaker 5: was I know that guy.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Okay, bally Bollywood Superman. The one with the where he's
- 15:30Speaker 4: standing with Wonder Woman.
- 15:32Speaker 6: The one where he's standing with Wonder Woman. That's a
- 15:34Speaker 6: great one. Not Wonder Woman, Spider Woman. Spider Woman. Yeah,
- 15:39Speaker 6: that one is fantah. Yeah, there you go. There's now
- 15:43Speaker 6: let me explain something to you. I don't know if
- 15:45Speaker 6: anybody's seen.
- 15:46Speaker 5: That looks like a slice of pizza on his I I.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Have seen uh bits of that movie and.
- 15:56Speaker 5: It's amazing, you know, all right, you know what?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna tell you my favorite Superman. So do
- 16:06Speaker 2: you remember Jesus it's got to be like twenty five
- 16:11Speaker 2: years ago at this at this point, there was that
- 16:15Speaker 2: fan film where Batman fought the Predator. Oh yeah, yeah, okay,
- 16:20Speaker 2: so Scott, if you haven't seen that, look it up.
- 16:24Speaker 2: It's called Batman that end. I think it's amazing, amazing.
- 16:29Speaker 2: There was this There was a sequel to that which
- 16:33Speaker 2: it was a trailer for a movie they never made,
- 16:35Speaker 2: but it was a trailer for a movie called World's Finest.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Oh that's right, Yeah, I've seen this and it was
- 16:40Speaker 2: Batman and Superman in one story. And the Superman in
- 16:46Speaker 2: that was spot on and he had a big old
- 16:49Speaker 2: s on his chest but it wasn't it wasn't too big.
- 16:53Speaker 2: So his costume reminded me of It's like if Henry
- 17:01Speaker 2: Cavill wore Christopher Reeves costume. That's what it looked like.
- 17:06Speaker 2: It was the classic Superman costume, but the guy was jacked.
- 17:11Speaker 2: And I know it's not a real film, but that's
- 17:15Speaker 2: my favorite right there. So if you haven't, if you
- 17:18Speaker 2: haven't seen it, go look it up. Okay, look it up.
- 17:21Speaker 6: My hopes for my hopes for the Superman movie is
- 17:24Speaker 6: that it's somewhere in between, uh, Superman Returns and Man
- 17:28Speaker 6: of Steel. Superman Returns was a lovely film in it
- 17:32Speaker 6: if you recall, Superman did not throw one single punch
- 17:38Speaker 6: mm hmm. If you remember Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, Uh,
- 17:42Speaker 6: there was so much action you couldn't keep track of
- 17:44Speaker 6: where these people were. I mean, it was so many
- 17:47Speaker 6: there were so many buildings getting demolished, and so much
- 17:51Speaker 6: action and just so much of a blur of just destruction.
- 17:55Speaker 6: And I'm hoping that this film is going to be
- 17:59Speaker 6: somewhere in the middle of that.
- 18:03Speaker 1: They are saying that in the reports that in the trailer,
- 18:07Speaker 1: the dog is the star of the show Crypto.
- 18:10Speaker 4: So nobody doesn't like Crypto.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So unless the rock is talking for Crypto.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Well, here's my issue. Here's my issue with Superman.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I feel like Superman works best when he is the
- 18:31Speaker 2: last son of Krypton, when there are no more Kryptonians, Right, Okay,
- 18:38Speaker 2: you know Batman's pain comes from you know he watched
- 18:42Speaker 2: his parents die. Superman's pain comes from you know, I'm
- 18:47Speaker 2: the son of a dead planet. I'm the only one
- 18:50Speaker 2: of my kind. There's no one like me in the universe,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and that's very lonely. And and he supplements that with
- 19:00Speaker 2: his you know, his human family and these and these human.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Values that he was he was imbued with.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And then his cousin shows up, and then there's some
- 19:11Speaker 2: villains and Candor, and then you got the Kryptonians from
- 19:15Speaker 2: the Phantom Zone, and then there's a dog, and then
- 19:20Speaker 2: there's Marco City and yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Cousin from the the other universe.
- 19:25Speaker 2: And then and it's like, after a while, it's like,
- 19:28Speaker 2: all right, you're not the last time of Krypton.
- 19:29Speaker 5: You're not you're not special.
- 19:31Speaker 1: You get a little colony. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 19:36Speaker 2: So so I don't know, I'm cautiously Uh, I don't know.
- 19:41Speaker 5: I don't know if I'm gonna enjoy the dog.
- 19:43Speaker 4: There's a super Girl in this movie, isn't there.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I don't know if in the movie, but there's one
- 19:49Speaker 1: in the universe that we're gonna make.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I thought I thought there was one in casting.
- 19:55Speaker 1: No, that's a Supergirl movie.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, she may show up, who knows. I don't know.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Maybe it's her dog, who knows. Yeh.
- 20:04Speaker 4: I you know, I was gonna save this what before
- 20:06Speaker 4: we move on?
- 20:07Speaker 6: I was gonna save this for the end, But since
- 20:09Speaker 6: we're on Superman, I just I'm probably a half hour
- 20:13Speaker 6: away from being finished with the audiobook, uh, the Unauthorized
- 20:16Speaker 6: Biography of Superman. Oh yeah, it's a it's a twelve,
- 20:20Speaker 6: twelve or thirteen hour long audiobook, and it go the
- 20:24Speaker 6: way what it is, it's it's basically, it tells the
- 20:28Speaker 6: story of the story of Superman, and it starts.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Out with with.
- 20:32Speaker 6: The original authors, and it starts out in nineteen thirty eight,
- 20:36Speaker 6: and then it's it's sectioned by year, so it'll say, okay,
- 20:39Speaker 6: chapter one nineteen thirty eight to you know, nineteen forty,
- 20:43Speaker 6: and it's and it goes all the way up so far,
- 20:45Speaker 6: I'm all the way up to they've done uh.
- 20:49Speaker 4: They're doing Superman Returns.
- 20:51Speaker 6: And so it's I mean, the the the get the
- 20:56Speaker 6: the author knows his stuff, and it's done a ton
- 21:00Speaker 6: of research and hits off on every single major milestone,
- 21:04Speaker 6: whether it's a story arc or whether it's something that's
- 21:07Speaker 6: going on in the comic book world surrounding Superman, team ups, crossovers, everything,
- 21:14Speaker 6: and it goes into a lot of detail, and it's
- 21:17Speaker 6: if you're if you're a Superman fan, I highly recommend it.
- 21:21Speaker 1: T bear Ass is the new movie basically twenty ten
- 21:25Speaker 1: iron Man for DC. Yeah, in a lot of ways.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Yeah, they.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Are approaching it differently in that the original Iron Man
- 21:33Speaker 2: was it was an origin story, both for the Marvel
- 21:38Speaker 2: Universe and the character. What they're doing here is they're
- 21:42Speaker 2: purposely not telling Superman's origin. They're not telling Batman's origin
- 21:45Speaker 2: because everybody's seen it a thousand times. Everybody knows it,
- 21:48Speaker 2: so they're not gonna waste a movie on that. But
- 21:53Speaker 2: while I'm thinking of it, Scott, so the CW Crisis
- 21:58Speaker 2: crossover from a few years back, well when yep, when
- 22:02Speaker 2: Brandon Routh reprised his role as Superman in the In
- 22:09Speaker 2: the episode, he played like a Kingdom Come version of
- 22:12Speaker 2: Superman with the with the Kingdom Come s with the
- 22:14Speaker 2: with the black on it. But at the end there's
- 22:18Speaker 2: a scene of him flying through space waving to the
- 22:20Speaker 2: camera like Christopher Reeve and in that in that scene
- 22:24Speaker 2: he's wearing a more classic Superman costume.
- 22:28Speaker 5: That, yes, is that that is what I want?
- 22:31Speaker 4: That is like, okay, yeah, I like that one too.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I like that one too.
- 22:36Speaker 5: Welcome to super.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Cast the Galaxy's Utile Superman podcast.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Speaking of I would co host that, I would co
- 22:45Speaker 6: host that.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Speaking of superheroes, our last news story comes to us
- 22:50Speaker 1: from Variety, and uh, Sony is going to threaten us
- 22:55Speaker 1: continually with more of these Spider Man movies. I don't
- 22:58Speaker 1: have Spider Man. So there were reports earlier this week
- 23:03Speaker 1: that after how bad Craven is doing, they're just gonna
- 23:07Speaker 1: stop right good, and they might for a little while.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But the reality is, according to Variety, and according to
- 23:15Speaker 1: several people familiar with the studio or working at the studio,
- 23:20Speaker 1: Sony is very happy with how it turned out for Venom.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Venom made them billions of dollars overall over the course
- 23:29Speaker 1: of that trilogy, and they want more money.
- 23:32Speaker 2: So I think they were quoted as saying, never stop stopping,
- 23:36Speaker 2: never stop stopping.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Baby's right, that's right. So even though we have now
- 23:43Speaker 1: Madam Web and Craven are not doing well, it doesn't matter.
- 23:46Speaker 1: They made so much money with Venom. It'll work. So
- 23:51Speaker 1: you'll see more of these in the future, maybe not
- 23:53Speaker 1: right away, the more coming.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah. Somebody posted on our Facebook page.
- 23:58Speaker 6: I think it was Duval about these movies and you
- 24:02Speaker 6: know how they all kind of stuck.
- 24:04Speaker 4: They're gonna stop.
- 24:05Speaker 6: Doing them, and I I I mentioned and I mentioned
- 24:08Speaker 6: I did like the Venom movies.
- 24:10Speaker 4: I haven't seen the third again, but I did.
- 24:12Speaker 5: I think it said twelve twelve years of garbage.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I did like the Venom movie.
- 24:19Speaker 6: I did not see Morby Morbius or.
- 24:24Speaker 5: No, it wasn't.
- 24:28Speaker 6: I did see Madam Webb, and I'm sorry. I didn't
- 24:32Speaker 6: hate it. I didn't like it. But it wasn't like
- 24:35Speaker 6: I didn't walk out of the theater. It wasn't sideways. Okay,
- 24:38Speaker 6: it wasn't. It wasn't Batman and Robin. It was okay.
- 24:42Speaker 4: I could.
- 24:43Speaker 6: I wish I hadn't spent money on this. I would
- 24:46Speaker 6: rather seen it on like Disney Plus or whatever.
- 24:47Speaker 4: But it wasn't horrible. It was, you know, pass the time.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I I normally run to the theaters for these superhero movies.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I love these things, right, Yeah, and I just I
- 25:00Speaker 1: get excited about Craven. I just I don't care.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it looks well, we don't care for.
- 25:10Speaker 8: No.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, you know, like the older
- 25:13Speaker 2: my son gets, the less and less activities we have
- 25:19Speaker 2: that we do together. You know, he's approaching thirteen, hanging
- 25:23Speaker 2: out with dad. Hanging out with dad is is you
- 25:26Speaker 2: know not what he wants to do right now. But
- 25:30Speaker 2: going to the movies, specifically superhero movies is still something
- 25:35Speaker 2: that we do together, and I normally jump at the
- 25:37Speaker 2: chance to do that.
- 25:42Speaker 4: With Craven.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Maybe i'd want to see Sonic three. That looks all right?
- 25:47Speaker 2: That absolutely, that's that's on the list. And you know
- 25:51Speaker 2: what the funny thing is, So this is what's strange.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I really I couldn't give two ships about Sonic, but
- 25:58Speaker 2: I know that I know that he enjoys it. I
- 26:01Speaker 2: know it's it's a character that he really likes. So
- 26:03Speaker 2: I will take him for the the opportunity to spend
- 26:08Speaker 2: the time with him and and and do something.
- 26:10Speaker 5: That he enjoys.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I don't know if he if he's going to enjoy Craven,
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'm fairly certain I won't.
- 26:16Speaker 5: So I'm just not even it's not worth it.
- 26:19Speaker 1: When Craven looks at the camera and says, I'm craving Justice.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Please tell me you made that up? And that's up? Ok?
- 26:32Speaker 5: God right?
- 26:35Speaker 6: Yeah, Well, because the guy that goes with I was
- 26:38Speaker 6: what I was gonna say about. You know, Dan said,
- 26:40Speaker 6: nobody's watching these movies anymore for two reasons. Number one,
- 26:43Speaker 6: we don't care about this particular universe and number two.
- 26:46Speaker 4: The quality sucks.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Yeah, and not just like you know, the the visuals,
- 26:52Speaker 6: but just the quality and writing.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And yeah, it's just horrible.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Craven mad and Morveus are the lower decks of Marvel.
- 27:02Speaker 4: They wish they were that good.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. I would say the Eternals are the lower
- 27:06Speaker 1: decks of Marvel.
- 27:07Speaker 5: I remember reading reading somewhere this this woman.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Who was in uh Madam Webb. I don't know who
- 27:13Speaker 2: she is, Dakota Johnson is that her name?
- 27:16Speaker 5: I think she.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I think she fired her agent after this. Oh yes,
- 27:21Speaker 2: probably because she thought she was going to be in a.
- 27:23Speaker 9: Marvel movie, right, And it's like, well, it is a
- 27:26Speaker 9: Marvel movie, you know, it's a Sony Marvel movie, but
- 27:31Speaker 9: it's not a Marvel same thing.
- 27:34Speaker 5: It's basically the same thing. This is like what he's
- 27:37Speaker 5: saying to her, probably when she fired him.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Marvel, fire fire him after fifty shades of everything.
- 27:45Speaker 1: But I feel bad for Aaron Taylor Johnson, who's got
- 27:48Speaker 1: to go and promote this movie right now and everybody
- 27:51Speaker 1: knows it's heard and he.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Ye, you know, yeah, because I like him.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, uh that picture that's upright, there. Yeah, look
- 28:03Speaker 2: at his apps, right.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I only feel so sorry for this guy.
- 28:08Speaker 1: All right, he's gotta promote a crappy movie. Doesn't get
- 28:12Speaker 1: t eat carbs.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Come on, yeah, I say again, I only feel so sorry.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Okay, all right, all right, yeah, yeah, all right.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I would if I could have apps like that, I would.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I would start a million crave in the hunters.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I've always just assumed you did.
- 28:29Speaker 1: That's right, all right, all right, well that's the end
- 28:33Speaker 1: of the news.
- 28:34Speaker 2: They're there, They're there, They're just obstructed, right right, all right,
- 28:40Speaker 2: Well we should get to our main topic, then.
- 28:42Speaker 5: Should we? Ten twenty nine? Let's talk about Star Trek.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Okay, if I will now come out, all right, So
- 28:54Speaker 1: our main topic is Star Trek Lower Deck season five,
- 28:58Speaker 1: episode nine, Visual Quest. Uh yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 5: Yeah. Would you think they saved it all up?
- 29:09Speaker 4: It was like it right, the dumped it in the
- 29:11Speaker 4: episode nine.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Saved it all up. It's like eight filler episodes. And then.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Now here's the good stuff.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Yeah, the purple beard is looking good.
- 29:22Speaker 4: I have a going up my nose. Oh no, all right, cook,
- 29:27Speaker 4: I think I'm good.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Good.
- 29:29Speaker 1: This was like easter eggs the episode. Yeah, this whole episode.
- 29:33Speaker 2: So what is this ship called this is a defiant
- 29:37Speaker 2: looking ship class? I don't remember is it? Is it
- 29:39Speaker 2: defiant class? It was a Valiant class. I don't remember
- 29:41Speaker 2: which one was the.
- 29:43Speaker 1: The ship was called the Axamander.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Okay, the Valiant was a defiant class.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Okay, all right, T cameo overloaded, Yeah a little bit.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I mean you can tell this is where the budget went. Yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 1: get everybody. Yeah, I got to see curz On finally.
- 30:04Speaker 1: He's just surly and crazy.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 2: We got Harry Kim A lot of Harry Kims. Now
- 30:12Speaker 2: our predictions.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I think my.
- 30:18Speaker 4: There was a Harry kim Ish prediction, wasn't there.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I think my bonus wasn't my bonus something with Harry Kim,
- 30:24Speaker 2: I don't remember. It was just that he shows up
- 30:26Speaker 2: or he's Captain Harry Kim.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Or oh, I don't know.
- 30:30Speaker 4: I can you guys disappeared for a second, Dan, can
- 30:32Speaker 4: you hear me?
- 30:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I can hear you.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Okay, you guys all frozen. Disappeared for a second, and
- 30:37Speaker 6: now I can't see Daniel.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Uh it's probably better that way. He probably had a
- 30:41Speaker 4: little reset.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all good, it's all good. Like no one
- 30:45Speaker 2: Harry is wearing the like the racing suit. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 30:52Speaker 2: that's good.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Do we think that any of these Harry Kims were
- 30:55Speaker 6: the prime Harry Kim.
- 30:58Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 30:59Speaker 2: That might be that might be a plot point in
- 31:02Speaker 2: uh in the finale, Yeah, that could be.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Because I hope it wasn't the one that went rogue.
- 31:10Speaker 5: So oh mm hmm.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Your your wild card, Dan was we were Captain.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Well there's one more episode, you know. I could see, uh,
- 31:22Speaker 2: I could see Captain Harry Kim swooping in and.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Being like, look, all these assholes, what do you do? Right?
- 31:30Speaker 5: Right right?
- 31:33Speaker 4: Which I was just gonna go through.
- 31:34Speaker 6: I was just gonna go through the cameos if that
- 31:36Speaker 6: do you guys want me to go. So we've got
- 31:40Speaker 6: Joline Blaylock as to Paul, We've got Andrew Robinson as Garrick,
- 31:46Speaker 6: Alexander Sadig as doctor Basheer, and I have a tidbit
- 31:50Speaker 6: about that from the from I m dB. We've got
- 31:55Speaker 6: Harry Garrett Wang has Harry Kim, and my favorite cameo
- 32:00Speaker 6: was Alfred Woodard.
- 32:02Speaker 4: They played Lily Sloan.
- 32:04Speaker 6: I thought that was amazing that she came back, which
- 32:08Speaker 6: she's one of my favorite characters.
- 32:10Speaker 5: I was like, I know this voice is that yeah?
- 32:13Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 32:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:16Speaker 6: He's so for all these episodes, I always go through
- 32:20Speaker 6: IMDb has a trivia section for each movie or episode
- 32:23Speaker 6: that you're looking at, and usually, you know, we we
- 32:27Speaker 6: record these on Sunday, the episodes come out on at
- 32:30Speaker 6: least Lower Dex comes out on Thursday, so there's usually
- 32:32Speaker 6: not a lot of time for people to you know,
- 32:35Speaker 6: So I would like to read just one particular trivia
- 32:37Speaker 6: U piece of trivia warning spoilers in case so you
- 32:42Speaker 6: haven't seen the episode. Doctor Basher appears as a hologram.
- 32:46Speaker 4: In this episode.
- 32:47Speaker 6: He can be seen using a mobile emitter that he's
- 32:49Speaker 6: used by the doctor on Voyager. This piece of trivia
- 32:53Speaker 6: is interesting because it's one that I submitted and got
- 32:57Speaker 6: into IMDb.
- 32:58Speaker 1: So nice, yeah, oh oh wow.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so now I've got you know, that's my that's
- 33:07Speaker 4: my credit.
- 33:08Speaker 5: Put that on your resume.
- 33:10Speaker 4: That's right.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I AMDB contributor, that's right.
- 33:14Speaker 1: What's kind of interesting too, is this episode technically was
- 33:19Speaker 1: a not with our main crew, right, because even though
- 33:24Speaker 1: there was a boiler and there was a mariner, it
- 33:26Speaker 1: wasn't with our main guys.
- 33:29Speaker 2: At the beginning of the episode, and the end they
- 33:31Speaker 2: bookend with our book end, but this adventure that's not
- 33:34Speaker 2: our mariner, and and that's the transporter clone of our boiler.
- 33:39Speaker 5: H Yeah, so I'm wondering.
- 33:46Speaker 2: I mean, so I don't think any of the people
- 33:51Speaker 2: on this ship are from our universe. I mean, to
- 33:57Speaker 2: Paul talks about being married to Trip for deades, which
- 34:00Speaker 2: was a nice which was a nice callback unless unless.
- 34:06Speaker 5: You know, it would be nice.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Let's see if if we find out that that to
- 34:11Speaker 2: Paul is from our universe, and that Trip's death in
- 34:15Speaker 2: the final episode of Enterprise is somehow is somehow retconned.
- 34:20Speaker 2: He did he did marry her and live with her
- 34:23Speaker 2: for decades.
- 34:25Speaker 5: That would be nice.
- 34:25Speaker 6: That is a theory that I had, and that I
- 34:28Speaker 6: mentioned to you guys before you guys knew who I was.
- 34:32Speaker 6: This is when I called into the show or I
- 34:33Speaker 6: wrote into the show one time, and I said, the
- 34:37Speaker 6: last time we saw the canonically from Cannon, the last
- 34:41Speaker 6: time we saw Trip, his eyes were open and he
- 34:46Speaker 6: had a grin on his face. He was going into
- 34:48Speaker 6: the cryo chamber. They never said he died, And all
- 34:53Speaker 6: that Troy said at the end of the episode is
- 34:57Speaker 6: that they would that some of them would never see
- 34:59Speaker 6: him again. They never specifically said he died, and I
- 35:03Speaker 6: thought that, well, maybe someday he can be you know, revived,
- 35:08Speaker 6: and maybe that's sort of the case. Trip is not
- 35:12Speaker 6: dead hashtag Trip is not dead. I feel strongly about this.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Okay, Hey, that's fair.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Fine.
- 35:21Speaker 4: I am a Trip Tucker fan.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Okay, So I just realized Transporter clone Boemler. Here he
- 35:28Speaker 2: is wearing a First Contact era.
- 35:33Speaker 5: Uniform, but he.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Has a black combatge, which is like a Discovery era
- 35:43Speaker 2: Section thirty one.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Thing right.
- 35:46Speaker 2: They did not do that in Deep Space nine, which
- 35:50Speaker 2: would be the closest in the timeline to what's occurring here.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Right, So.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Different, man, see, very agree. Even the big bad Nutt
- 36:06Speaker 1: being bad at all is so much more Trek.
- 36:09Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right about that black combadge.
- 36:17Speaker 1: It's it is hard to see sometimes.
- 36:22Speaker 6: One of the trivia things says that they mentioned a
- 36:24Speaker 6: big Spock, and apparently this is a reference to Star
- 36:29Speaker 6: Trek the animated series episode The Infinite Vulcan. I've never
- 36:33Speaker 6: seen the animated series. Apparently it featured a giant clone
- 36:37Speaker 6: of Spock.
- 36:37Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to watch this.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I did catch the line at some point where they say, what.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Did you do with your tubeis Yeah, my wife and
- 36:48Speaker 6: I both thought that.
- 36:49Speaker 4: We looked at each other like, yeah, there's gonna be
- 36:53Speaker 4: a discussion.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah. I I really liked this episode. It was
- 37:01Speaker 1: so much fun. Yeah, and it was Yeah, I think, yeah,
- 37:06Speaker 1: they were clearly saving it all up for this. I
- 37:09Speaker 1: think next week is gonna be even you know, just
- 37:11Speaker 1: done of fun as well. But man, the rest of
- 37:17Speaker 1: the season's been a little bit rough.
- 37:19Speaker 6: But yeah, yeah, they they chose awfully late time in
- 37:23Speaker 6: the season to turn it around.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But ty J makes a good point. There's no other
- 37:28Speaker 1: show that can have this many legacy characters all return
- 37:31Speaker 1: in their prime. We'll never get something like this again.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah, this is true. That's very true, pretty much true.
- 37:38Speaker 6: I mean, having you know, Garrick and Bashir on screen again,
- 37:42Speaker 6: you know, that was amazing, having the doctor or having
- 37:47Speaker 6: a Bashir as a as an Emh or an LMH.
- 37:50Speaker 4: You know, that's a great callback.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Having them married, you know, having one Garrick from one
- 37:56Speaker 6: universe being married to a holographic version of Bashir in
- 37:58Speaker 6: another universe.
- 37:59Speaker 4: I mean that just.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Because you could argue he made his.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I was I was just thinking that if
- 38:10Speaker 2: they went ahead, if this universe, if the universe that
- 38:14Speaker 2: that Bashir is from the E MH. Mark two is
- 38:19Speaker 2: based on Julian Basher, then that means he wasn't found
- 38:23Speaker 2: out as being genetically enhanced. Oh yeah, because that was
- 38:29Speaker 2: the same episode. That's how they found that out right, right?
- 38:34Speaker 6: M be interesting to explore that they should have a
- 38:37Speaker 6: what ifs.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Of you know, Star Trek Star Trek what if?
- 38:44Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 38:44Speaker 1: Yeah, why not? I will say I didn't think to
- 38:48Speaker 1: Paul sounded like to Paul, was that just me?
- 38:52Speaker 4: Or it took a second for me to hear it.
- 38:55Speaker 6: I thought Julian sounded the least like his character, Like, yeah, there.
- 39:00Speaker 5: There are people saying that. There are people saying that online.
- 39:02Speaker 6: But you know these people are twenty years and years later,
- 39:07Speaker 6: twenty five years older. I mean I sound a little
- 39:10Speaker 6: bit different too than I did twenty five years ago.
- 39:12Speaker 5: What else?
- 39:12Speaker 1: The different types of mics that they use in different
- 39:15Speaker 1: audio situations, like that's going to change.
- 39:18Speaker 5: Right so that?
- 39:20Speaker 2: And you know, people talk differently than they yea to
- 39:23Speaker 2: you a different at different points in their life, especially
- 39:26Speaker 2: if you're an actor and you build this uh speech
- 39:29Speaker 2: pattern and this cadence around this character, and then you
- 39:32Speaker 2: don't play that character for thirty years, you know, it
- 39:35Speaker 2: may not be that easy to just slide right back in, right.
- 39:38Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, but I don't know who they got to
- 39:43Speaker 6: play Curzon. We only saw Curzon live action as a
- 39:46Speaker 6: regular Curson.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Once and he didn't have any dialogue.
- 39:52Speaker 6: So there was a there was a brief scene, a
- 39:54Speaker 6: flashback scene where they showed curs On, Oh that's right, uh,
- 39:58Speaker 6: get about ready to give up his symbian to to
- 40:02Speaker 6: chad Z and they just kind of looked at each other.
- 40:04Speaker 4: But he didn't He didn't speak. The rest of the
- 40:07Speaker 4: times we talked hers On, he was it was Renee
- 40:13Speaker 4: played him. M yeah right.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I did like when Paul did the mind meld with
- 40:22Speaker 1: the symbiot to take his memories and transfer them.
- 40:28Speaker 10: Yeah, take him to the mountains of for the colon
- 40:36Speaker 10: colonar No, not the what was that thing?
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yeah, the colon arc from Star Trek.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Four three three four. Yeah, oh, j says a Curison
- 40:50Speaker 1: sounded like the person who does shracks.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Could be could be could be the disappointed.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I'm a little disappointed we didn't get like four Jeffrey
- 41:05Speaker 2: Combs characters.
- 41:06Speaker 5: All standing next to each other.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that would have been great.
- 41:11Speaker 1: We got next week, we got we may get a
- 41:14Speaker 1: starship of Jeffrey Combs.
- 41:16Speaker 5: Yeah, way Young and Brount and just everybody shran. Yeah,
- 41:21Speaker 5: just the whole crew of Jeffrey Combs.
- 41:24Speaker 6: But the more and more I think about it, the
- 41:26Speaker 6: more and more I think that Daniel's right about that.
- 41:29Speaker 6: The beginning battle sequence.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Oh, it seems like that's one hundred percent what's gonna happen.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what's gonnad. That's gonna be a central part
- 41:35Speaker 4: of what's going on.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll just be a whole episode of them fighting.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Yep.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I would be interested to I'd be interested to
- 41:44Speaker 2: find out did they plan that all along seven years
- 41:49Speaker 2: ago when they started talking about this show, or is
- 41:52Speaker 2: this something that as a gag along the way? Each
- 41:55Speaker 2: each season they added another threat to the to the opening,
- 41:58Speaker 2: and like summer they were sitting around trying to figure out,
- 42:04Speaker 2: you know, a finaleon I came.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I could see when you're creating the show, you go
- 42:09Speaker 1: and at the end we're goand it with the giant
- 42:12Speaker 1: space battle. But literally every timeline coming together and fighting
- 42:17Speaker 1: and all that's funny let's put it in the in
- 42:19Speaker 1: the open too, ha ha.
- 42:21Speaker 6: Ha se Wesley Crusher here will whaton doesn't do the
- 42:27Speaker 6: Treks after Dark or whatever the hell that show is called?
- 42:30Speaker 6: Yeah the Ready Room, Yeah, the Ready Room. So he
- 42:35Speaker 6: doesn't do that show for this for this season, for
- 42:38Speaker 6: this show, so I don't.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they seem to only do it for the live
- 42:41Speaker 1: action shows, right right?
- 42:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 42:47Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 42:47Speaker 4: What were what were those creatures? What were those? Have
- 42:51Speaker 4: we seen those before?
- 42:52Speaker 1: The creatures that captured feel like we're supposed to know
- 42:55Speaker 1: what they are and I don't remember them.
- 42:56Speaker 5: I thought they were Moopsi's or something.
- 42:58Speaker 4: That's what I thought too.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Somebody said something about at least they're not drinking your
- 43:03Speaker 2: bones or something like that.
- 43:05Speaker 6: But yeah, like maybe they're grown up versions of Moopsine
- 43:09Speaker 6: the only ones we've seen so far, like the relatively harmless,
- 43:13Speaker 6: smaller ones. Yeah maybe, Like, am I gonna have to
- 43:17Speaker 6: get a giant stuffed Moopsie?
- 43:19Speaker 4: Now?
- 43:21Speaker 5: You do what you think is best?
- 43:24Speaker 1: A salamander?
- 43:25Speaker 5: Yeah, follow your heart.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Well, then we got next week's episode. I think it's
- 43:35Speaker 1: what the next or the new next generation, so.
- 43:42Speaker 4: We'll see. I got high helps for it.
- 43:45Speaker 6: Yeah, they proved this episode that they can put one together.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. I did put in our social media's
- 43:52Speaker 1: you know, hey, what was your favorite Easter egg with
- 43:55Speaker 1: this episode? And it was either to Paul but Sheer
- 44:00Speaker 1: and Garrick or or Garrett Wang Harry Kim getting his
- 44:07Speaker 1: promotion those are like it was pretty equal between all
- 44:12Speaker 1: of them.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Hey are those two pips? What's going on here?
- 44:21Speaker 4: I like this Mariner.
- 44:23Speaker 6: It was not that I would want this Mariner for
- 44:26Speaker 6: the whole show, but just to see a little bit
- 44:29Speaker 6: more grounded, like sort of regular Starfleet officer engineer mariner. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 6: it was nice to see a little bit of a
- 44:37Speaker 6: change for her.
- 44:39Speaker 1: It was it was that's one of the cool things
- 44:42Speaker 1: they can do with this show that they they've been
- 44:44Speaker 1: able to pull that kind of stuff off.
- 44:46Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 6: Another thing I noticed was Garrick is she's he's wearing
- 44:53Speaker 6: the blue undertunic thing and the holographic doctor was also
- 44:58Speaker 6: wearing a blue under you know thing. Two completely different
- 45:02Speaker 6: color blues. And I've always wondered about that because like
- 45:06Speaker 6: doctor Crusher would wear a blue that was completely different
- 45:10Speaker 6: from the other blues of the rest of the science office.
- 45:13Speaker 6: Because I always assumed that the medical officers wore the
- 45:17Speaker 6: same blue as the other Science Officer Division blue.
- 45:21Speaker 4: And maybe that was a callback.
- 45:23Speaker 6: Maybe they were like, oh, you know how they used
- 45:26Speaker 6: to screw up the colors, maybe we'll do the same thing.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I think when they went from uh, when they went
- 45:33Speaker 2: from the TNG voyager costumes to the first contact costumes,
- 45:40Speaker 2: I think the blue went to more of a green.
- 45:43Speaker 5: So right, I think.
- 45:44Speaker 2: I think I think they're showing that these guys aren't
- 45:47Speaker 2: from the same reality. The costumes the costumes went slightly
- 45:53Speaker 2: different directions, Like I can't.
- 45:57Speaker 6: Because that had to have been deliberate, because you're not
- 46:00Speaker 6: gonna make an animated show and have the same costume
- 46:04Speaker 6: be two different colors, right right, Oh yeah, he's probably right.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Okay, well, should we get a listener feedback.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Listener feedback.
- 46:24Speaker 1: So we did just get a question in from ty
- 46:27Speaker 1: J who wants to know, were there any big cameos
- 46:30Speaker 1: that we didn't get during the series that you guys
- 46:32Speaker 1: wanted m I I think I think there is a
- 46:40Speaker 1: chance we get somebody from the Kelvin universe next episode.
- 46:47Speaker 1: One of those actors to come in and record a line.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Doesn't have to be a full on character. Just one
- 46:54Speaker 1: line from Zachary Quinto or Chris Pine something like.
- 46:57Speaker 4: That, that would be cool. Yeah, I would like that,
- 47:03Speaker 4: or Shatner.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Even, all right, which which one of you needs to
- 47:10Speaker 2: change the battery and your smoke detector because it's striving
- 47:12Speaker 2: me nuts.
- 47:13Speaker 5: Okay, all right, I don't want.
- 47:15Speaker 2: You to die in a fire, so right after the show,
- 47:18Speaker 2: take care of that way.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Okay, I'll do what I can. It's very high up.
- 47:23Speaker 1: It's very very yes, it's very high up.
- 47:29Speaker 6: My smoke detector goes off anytime I slightly overcook anything.
- 47:35Speaker 6: And the thing that's sex about, I've got a newer house,
- 47:37Speaker 6: so all the smoke detectors are connected. So one of
- 47:41Speaker 6: the one of the kitchen goes off, they all go off. Yeah,
- 47:45Speaker 6: and and they want to make darn sure that the
- 47:48Speaker 6: smoke is clear literally before they shut off.
- 47:51Speaker 4: So right right, it's it's it's annoying.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we got Jasmins on the line too, solely bring
- 47:58Speaker 1: them on there as HELLU Hey, what's going on?
- 48:02Speaker 5: Man?
- 48:03Speaker 8: Trying to wake up?
- 48:06Speaker 4: Where are you at?
- 48:08Speaker 8: I'm in Arkansas? We did Christmas here, so.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, trying to cool.
- 48:15Speaker 1: What'd you think of the episode.
- 48:17Speaker 8: Well, finally, they had a good episode this season, so,
- 48:21Speaker 8: like Dan said, they saved the best for last.
- 48:24Speaker 5: So yeah, second to last next week could suck. We
- 48:28Speaker 5: don't know, that's right.
- 48:31Speaker 8: I mean, I really hope they have Shatner after you
- 48:34Speaker 8: guys mentioned that, because he's, what in his almost mid
- 48:39Speaker 8: nineties now, so we're not going to have him much longer, right, Yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 8: and he's still you know, with it, so yeah, just
- 48:46Speaker 8: have him on there. That'd be so cool.
- 48:49Speaker 5: What do you want? Do you want prime Shatter?
- 48:52Speaker 2: Do you want Shatner from the universe where he never
- 48:55Speaker 2: got promoted past lieutenant junior grade?
- 48:57Speaker 5: What do you want Shatner?
- 48:59Speaker 2: Who he's He wasn't in Starfleet at all, but he's
- 49:02Speaker 2: still the price line negotiator.
- 49:04Speaker 5: I mean, what do you want?
- 49:08Speaker 4: J clicker?
- 49:11Speaker 1: No, I want I want I want him to say
- 49:14Speaker 1: that he somehow got swept up in it and got
- 49:17Speaker 1: pulled into a fictional show and he doesn't know what's
- 49:20Speaker 1: going on.
- 49:21Speaker 4: I want you Tapestry Kirk.
- 49:24Speaker 2: You want yeah, from from the SNL episode he's telling
- 49:30Speaker 2: people to get a life.
- 49:33Speaker 8: I want Purple Enterprise Shatner there you go?
- 49:38Speaker 6: Oh no, where he's just I want Dan's uh Tapestry
- 49:42Speaker 6: Kirk where he never got promoted past lieutenant.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 49:47Speaker 4: He's like, yes, Commander, I'll get you that report.
- 49:49Speaker 2: So you know what you brought up, Galaxy. I want
- 49:52Speaker 2: the n s C a protector to shore. That's what
- 49:55Speaker 2: I want. That would be amazing. Yeah, yeah, that would
- 49:59Speaker 2: be amazing.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I mean, get Seth McFarland in there bringing the why not.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Either one? Either one? And Seth McFarlane would do it.
- 50:10Speaker 1: It's just in the studios talking plain ice. But I
- 50:14Speaker 1: don't even have to call it the Orville. Just set
- 50:17Speaker 1: McFarland's voice.
- 50:18Speaker 4: They call him. Some guy shows up, they call him Ed.
- 50:20Speaker 4: He's like, looking around, My name is Ed?
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you or you just or you just see
- 50:24Speaker 2: the ship and he here?
- 50:26Speaker 5: You know where the hell are we?
- 50:28Speaker 4: Right?
- 50:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 50:31Speaker 4: You want to do alternate realities? Do alternate realities? Yeah?
- 50:35Speaker 8: The animation would be in the style of Family Guy too, right.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I would die animated universes.
- 50:51Speaker 4: They've made references to the Orville Family Guy.
- 50:55Speaker 8: Yeah, I have them watching in the modern episodes.
- 50:59Speaker 4: I have to watch Family Guy in like ten years.
- 51:01Speaker 8: But yeah, it's kind of like that Simpsons. So he
- 51:04Speaker 8: used to watch those like religiously and now yeah, it's.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Just it's weird now if I watch an episode of
- 51:12Speaker 6: the Simpsons and I seem like holding the smartphone like.
- 51:17Speaker 1: What, yeah, one of the main characters quit Simpsons recently?
- 51:24Speaker 8: Yeah, I think so who was that?
- 51:28Speaker 5: I remember?
- 51:29Speaker 8: Yes, somebody returned Barney.
- 51:31Speaker 5: Was it?
- 51:33Speaker 8: No as sion as one of the guys in the bar?
- 51:39Speaker 8: Because I know one died, you know those one the
- 51:43Speaker 8: voices in the bar, and then another one he just retired.
- 51:45Speaker 8: He's been with him thirty five years.
- 51:48Speaker 4: So wow, well they don't show up who anymore? The guy?
- 51:53Speaker 4: The guy doesn't do his.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Else?
- 51:58Speaker 8: Yeah, Hank is there. He just you know he did
- 52:00Speaker 8: know and everybody so because back then, you know, voice actors,
- 52:03Speaker 8: they didn't want to hire a bunch of actors. Yeah,
- 52:07Speaker 8: but she were to pay somebody one person, then multiple people.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Oh the lady behind Milhouse. That's what I was thinking.
- 52:16Speaker 4: She really Pamela Hayden.
- 52:19Speaker 8: Yeah, some Millhouse.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so we're not going to get that Millhouse
- 52:25Speaker 2: spin off series, that is what you're saying.
- 52:28Speaker 6: Or that's or that's why she's retired, as we are
- 52:31Speaker 6: going to I'm not retiring, she's just quitting the show
- 52:36Speaker 6: with the Simpsons. Then we're going to get a spin
- 52:37Speaker 6: off series, aren't we.
- 52:40Speaker 8: I think so show, and I think I think that
- 52:50Speaker 8: make the characters, the kids finally grow up. Yeah, like
- 52:54Speaker 8: actually be our age like parts.
- 52:57Speaker 4: It'll live on through future.
- 52:59Speaker 8: If you think about those kids would be in their
- 53:02Speaker 8: mid forties now, Yeah, that.
- 53:06Speaker 2: I would love to look at the numbers. I mean,
- 53:08Speaker 2: does that show still pulling numbers? I mean, I don't
- 53:12Speaker 2: know anybody.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Who they wouldn't make it if it didn't.
- 53:15Speaker 8: Yeah, well yeah, just cheap on Sunday Night on Fox
- 53:20Speaker 8: is the number one show still? So yeah, and then
- 53:25Speaker 8: they make a ton of money on Oh well.
- 53:28Speaker 1: It may not be it may not be the syndicating it,
- 53:32Speaker 1: but the but the merchandising makes so.
- 53:35Speaker 8: Much syndication and reruns.
- 53:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:39Speaker 8: It's like because one thing about the Simpsons they're not
- 53:43Speaker 8: They're not like south Park. You can play them you
- 53:45Speaker 8: know all, you know, almost all day long.
- 53:48Speaker 5: So yeah, all right, all right, Simpsons cast, Superman cast.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Right, all the different pop culture stuff.
- 53:58Speaker 8: You guys going on this tan on big ses and
- 54:01Speaker 8: I'm like got bounders here. It's like, are you make
- 54:09Speaker 8: the lottery or something?
- 54:10Speaker 5: You like?
- 54:10Speaker 4: Big like big. I cannot lie, right, that's right.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Anything else do you want to bring up?
- 54:19Speaker 8: Oh, man, it looks like well, it looks like Craven
- 54:24Speaker 8: is dead.
- 54:25Speaker 5: Yeah, so nobody's craving a sequel. That's right.
- 54:31Speaker 8: Nobody's Craven is not gonna be.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I like how to announce to Like, well, if you know,
- 54:38Speaker 1: if people watch it, we'll do spider Man's or Craven's
- 54:41Speaker 1: Last Ton for the sequel.
- 54:42Speaker 5: You know, no, no, you won't Craven.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Craven's Last on, which is like the one Big Craven
- 54:49Speaker 1: story where he finally beats up spider Man and win.
- 54:55Speaker 8: I don't understand why they don't have like Spider Man
- 54:57Speaker 8: should have been fighting Venom. Spider Man should have been
- 55:00Speaker 8: fighting and spider Man should be because.
- 55:02Speaker 1: The rule with Marvel is we'll take over Spider Man
- 55:05Speaker 1: and and make sure you don't run him into the ground,
- 55:08Speaker 1: but you cannot put him in a movie outside of us.
- 55:12Speaker 4: So great business model, guys.
- 55:17Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, they got to revisit that relationship.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean at this point, Disney could buy
- 55:30Speaker 1: Sony Studios and get the character back.
- 55:33Speaker 8: You think Disney has enough money now to buy Sony?
- 55:38Speaker 1: Just the just the Film Division. Probably.
- 55:40Speaker 6: Yeah, they probably have enough money to buy a pair.
- 55:42Speaker 1: About Yeah, they should.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Just they should just buy out, buy out that contract.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Just write a check to avoid the contract and get
- 55:51Speaker 2: their characters back and be done with it.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Even if it's a billion dollars.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Yeah, just do it.
- 55:57Speaker 5: Just give them a billion dollars.
- 55:59Speaker 1: All be several billion, because whatever.
- 56:02Speaker 2: You gotta wait, you gotta you gotta wait until you know,
- 56:05Speaker 2: put that money aside and wait for the right moment,
- 56:07Speaker 2: wait for Sony stock to dip or something, and then
- 56:12Speaker 2: run in there and say, here you go, We'll give
- 56:14Speaker 2: you two billion dollars cash. You can run back to
- 56:17Speaker 2: your investors and and tell them it's okay, we sold
- 56:21Speaker 2: an asset we don't need. We got two billion dollars
- 56:24Speaker 2: of cash and just.
- 56:27Speaker 6: And then Disney can watch their stock sore when the
- 56:30Speaker 6: next day they announced uh Tom Holland and Tom uh
- 56:36Speaker 6: what's his face as Spider Man versus uh Tom Hardy, Tom,
- 56:42Speaker 6: Tom Tom Hardy. Yeah, and watch their stock sore the
- 56:45Speaker 6: next day, So that that is something that we would
- 56:48Speaker 6: all be excited about. That would not be a craven
- 56:50Speaker 6: that would be like, oh, what theater are you going
- 56:52Speaker 6: to see? Spider Man Versus Venom. It's like, Oh, yeah,
- 56:56Speaker 6: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go see it at midnight.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 56:59Speaker 8: Whatever happen to the Spider Verse movies. Speaking of multi verses.
- 57:04Speaker 2: The third one, because the third one is very very delayed. Yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 2: third one is not expected now until twenty twenty seven.
- 57:12Speaker 2: That's one of the That's one of.
- 57:13Speaker 4: The ones my spend.
- 57:14Speaker 8: Yeah, they got animated. They haven't like cast it or anything.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one of the movies that my my son
- 57:20Speaker 2: and I are excited about seeing. He really loves the
- 57:22Speaker 2: other two. We went to see both of them in
- 57:23Speaker 2: the theater and uh, it was supposed to be out
- 57:26Speaker 2: last year and yeah.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Well they have to do polish up the special effects.
- 57:30Speaker 8: They haven't.
- 57:31Speaker 4: They didn't even do reshoots.
- 57:34Speaker 1: The script.
- 57:35Speaker 8: Yeah, they don't even have a script yet.
- 57:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:37Speaker 8: They looked at this giant cliffhanger and you're just suck,
- 57:41Speaker 8: you're just waiting.
- 57:43Speaker 6: Yeah, they need to film those like they did like
- 57:46Speaker 6: The Future two and three.
- 57:48Speaker 4: They need to fill the film those back to back.
- 57:50Speaker 6: That was the original possibility of that crap happening, because
- 57:54Speaker 6: if something happens between now and then and something like
- 57:56Speaker 6: studios dissolved and actors die, and you know, then of
- 58:00Speaker 6: people are gonna be pissed.
- 58:01Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, well their contest. You know that year
- 58:05Speaker 8: you had part one of that and then you had
- 58:08Speaker 8: a what was it, the Mission Impossible? Was part one?
- 58:12Speaker 8: That Dead Reckoning?
- 58:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 58:15Speaker 8: You know, and it's like, at least you're getting part
- 58:17Speaker 8: two this year if.
- 58:18Speaker 1: You go through, if you go through Paramount. Now I
- 58:21Speaker 1: think they changed it to just Dead Reckoning Reckoning part one.
- 58:25Speaker 8: Well, it's kind of like Wicked kind of snuck in there.
- 58:28Speaker 8: You know, it said Wicked, but then you realize, oh,
- 58:30Speaker 8: it's only Wicked Part one, so you gotta watch the
- 58:34Speaker 8: sequel next year.
- 58:35Speaker 1: So all right, well anything before we start wrapping it up.
- 58:42Speaker 1: It feels like we're getting there.
- 58:44Speaker 4: Well I have a couple of recommendations, Yes, go for it.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Watched Red One over the weekends. Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Yeah,
- 58:56Speaker 6: it's actually good and it was really good. I really
- 58:59Speaker 6: enjoyed it.
- 59:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 6: I can see it becoming a holiday classic, I really do.
- 59:04Speaker 4: It was a lot of fun. It was a little
- 59:06Speaker 4: corny at times, but no, it was real. It was
- 59:09Speaker 4: a it was a great it was a great movie.
- 59:10Speaker 8: Going to watching there, thinking I was gonna hate this
- 59:13Speaker 8: movie A fall on Thanksgiving, and I laughed so hard
- 59:17Speaker 8: and I really enjoyed it.
- 59:19Speaker 6: So apparently it didn't do great now it is on
- 59:21Speaker 6: We watched it on Amazon Pride. Yeah, it didn't do
- 59:24Speaker 6: great in the theater and they were like, Okay, it's
- 59:26Speaker 6: been here a month, we're gonna put it back on
- 59:27Speaker 6: Pride because it was originally made by Amazon.
- 59:30Speaker 8: Partner in there. So yes, yep, yep, all right.
- 59:37Speaker 6: Uh so I watched that and I also, speaking of
- 59:41Speaker 6: audio books, I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately.
- 59:43Speaker 6: I just got done with h the Autobiography of Catherine Janeway. Oh,
- 59:51Speaker 6: and that one was really good. It goes it goes.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Warning warning, NERD alert, NERD alert.
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: It goes through basically her entire life from the time
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: she's a kid all the way up to a few
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: years after Voyager, and it really gives a lot of
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: insight onto some of the decisions she made.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Yes, they talk about two.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: Vics about what salamander babies they are, they talk about that,
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: but why she made some of the decisions she made,
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: and how her past impacted her command a Voyager.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: Because you have to remember Voyager was her first.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: Command, right, okay, so and it really it really gave
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: you know, we we she did. The book was written,
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: it's supposedly written by Katherine Janeway herself.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: It was narrated by Kate Maulgrew.
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: It goes, you know, talks about like her fiance Mark
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: and and what that relationship. Talks about the relationship, what
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: it meant to her, you know, it talks about her
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: first boyfriend, it talked, It talks about her you know,
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: time and Starfleet in the academy and uh, oh very
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: much so, yes, very much so.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: And it explains, yes.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Does it cover the time that she was incarcerated at
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: a federal women's penitentiary and in.
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: Later chapter that's the part two, that's part two.
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: So what about her ancestor that built the tower?
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: They they taught they actually touched on that a little bit.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Now where it we're in a hope or something like that.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Where yeah, in Indiana O'Donnell, Kathy O'donnald.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: Now where it splits off a little bit, right where
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: where it splits off a little bit. I'm not exactly
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: sure what the when the novel was written, but some
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: of the things she talks about what happens after Voyager
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: don't line up exactly with what we have learned on Prodigy,
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: but I you know, it didn't detract from the story
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: at all. So I would highly recommend this book if
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: you're if you're a Voyager fan or a Katherine Janeway fan.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: It was really good.
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: Okay, cool, I think Nigan's gonna pop that thing right
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: in his car and listen to it, you know, that's right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: I'm gonna.
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: Okay, do you listen to your books on two times
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: feed or one time speed?
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Me?
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: I listened to him on one time speed or listen
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: to the more Man because I'm.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: Also so safer, that's right, I'm one point five one
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: point seven.
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: Yeah, well, because I'm also trying to kill time, because
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: I'm listening to this in my in my semi truck.
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: Okay, see, I listened to like on two time speed,
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: but usually do like history books I'm listening to because
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: they're so long and boring too. And well let's pick
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: this guy up a bit.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: So.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: Well and right now, Actually I got Jane Way. I
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: got that book for free. It was in their free section.
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: Oh wow, we tap using audible and I only the
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: only I.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Got Audible for ninety nine a month for three months.
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: Okay, try the Libby app because the library app your
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: library and you just sign up to it, and uh,
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: they have free audience books on there.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: What was that again, Libby, Libby l I B B Y.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I have it too. It's pretty great.
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: It's it's great because you listen to a bunch of
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: audio books on there.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Years years ago, I listened to something called libravox, and
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: libravox was it was stuff that was in the public domain,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: so anybody, anybody could do it, so like just someone
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: would read this book and record it and upload it
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: to LibriVox.
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: So it's a lot of like Three Musketeers and yeah, yeah, yep,
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: frank Alvi, yep, Frankenstein.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: Dracula. You know things like that that are one hundred
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: years old.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: And do you know there's a website called Tracula Daily
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: because the if you've ever read Bramstoker's Dracula, it's nothing
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: but like newspaper articles and diary entries and so on
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the day that it's supposed to be in the book,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: it sends you like an email alert that's that day, like.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: The just arrived. Yeah, and everything so yeah, in.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Case you want to take a year to read the
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: book exactly.
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: Any guys ever read have you guys ever read anything
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: from Mark Twain or ever read like Moby Dick.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: I tried.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: I tried reading Moby Dick once, and I tried reading
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: a few things from Mark Twain. You know, these people
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: are legends in you know, Moby Dick is a legendary book. Yeah,
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: Tale of Two Cities. They mentioned it on d Space nine.
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: Tried reading that. You know, it was the best of times.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: It was Lords of.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Times, Oh my god, incredibly slow and boring. Yeah, just
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: because you have to understand the people that were writing
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: it were writing it back then.
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: I couldn't get through three chapters of any of these books.
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: The language it was, yeah, it was, it was.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: It was so descriptive in not a good way using
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: words that anymore.
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: When it was first published, Moby Dick was successful till
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: like years later, and then it got popular. So because
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: I don't think the author made any money on it,
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: I just thought it was just you know, garbage.
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: Book in a way.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: So he was he was wailing for yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: He was willing for success. And then they started, you know,
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: like professors this episode.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I don't even know what that means.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: Willing for success.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: I don't know either, I don't know, I don't know.
