Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
- 0:06Speaker 2: today's word provision.
- 0:09Speaker 1: In the mist.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Of pressure, First King seventeen and four says you will
- 0:15Speaker 2: drink from the brook. I have directed the ravens to
- 0:18Speaker 2: supply you with food there when times are uncertain, like
- 0:24Speaker 2: they are when prices rise, job shifts, and the future
- 0:28Speaker 2: feels unstable. As easy to give in to worry. You
- 0:32Speaker 2: look at the headlines, the bills, the balance in the.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Account, and you wonder how will I make it? But
- 0:38Speaker 1: here's the good news.
- 0:40Speaker 2: The economy may change, but God never does. His faithfulness
- 0:45Speaker 2: isn't tied to inflation. His faithfulness is not tied to
- 0:50Speaker 2: interest rates or market trends. He remains Jehovah Jirah, the
- 0:54Speaker 2: Lord who provides. In the Book of First King seventeen,
- 0:58Speaker 2: the prophet Elijah face to severe famine. The land was dry,
- 1:02Speaker 2: food was scarce, and there was no rain in sight.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yet in the middle of the.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Draft drought, God told Elijah go to the brook called Cherif.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I have commanded the ravens to feed you.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Isn't that just like God?
- 1:16Speaker 2: While others are running out, Elijah was being sustained. While
- 1:21Speaker 2: others search for help, God was sending it directly to him. Ravens, unclean,
- 1:27Speaker 2: unlikely messengers brought bread and meat every morning and evening.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Elijah didn't have to chase provision. Elijah didn't have to
- 1:36Speaker 2: look for it. Provision found him because he was where
- 1:39Speaker 2: God told him to be. See that's what faith looks
- 1:44Speaker 2: like in uncertain times. You may not know how it's
- 1:48Speaker 2: gonna happen, but you trust who is in control. God
- 1:52Speaker 2: has a brook for you. He has a place of
- 1:54Speaker 2: provision prepared before the problem ever arrived.
- 1:57Speaker 1: It may not come through.
- 1:59Speaker 2: The same channels as before. The company may change, the
- 2:03Speaker 2: source may shift, but your source.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Never does.
- 2:08Speaker 2: See the same God who fed Elijah with ravens can
- 2:13Speaker 2: pay your bills when your knees need to be met.
- 2:17Speaker 2: He can sustain your household. And when the brook eventually
- 2:22Speaker 2: dried up, God didn't forget Elijah.
- 2:24Speaker 1: He said, go to Sarah Fath.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I've commanded a widow there to provide for you. See,
- 2:30Speaker 2: one door closed, but another.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Was already open. That's how God works.
- 2:34Speaker 2: When one season ends, he's already arranged the next one.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You don't have to panic when the brook runs dry.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Just listen for his next instruction. Provision is already waiting.
- 2:45Speaker 2: If you're worried today about how things will come together,
- 2:49Speaker 2: take a deep.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Breath and remember this. You are not on your own.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Your job is a resource.
- 2:56Speaker 1: God is your source.
- 2:58Speaker 2: He fed millions of Israelites with manner in the wilderness.
- 3:02Speaker 2: He multiplied a widow's oil until every jar overflows.
- 3:06Speaker 1: He turned two fish.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And five lows into a meal that fed thousands. That's
- 3:11Speaker 2: the same God who's still providing. He's still multiplying, He's
- 3:15Speaker 2: still making a way where there sings to be no way.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Oh Father, God, thank you that you are our provider.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You are our source. Even in times of uncertainty, you
- 3:25Speaker 2: don't remain faithful. Help us to trust you, God, that
- 3:28Speaker 2: you've already prepared our provision.
- 3:30Speaker 1: We trust God, you to rest.
- 3:33Speaker 2: We choose to rest in your promise that you will
- 3:36Speaker 2: supply all of our needs according to your riches and glory. God,
- 3:39Speaker 2: we will not fear the famine. God, we will have
- 3:43Speaker 2: faith in the God who never fails. In Jesus' name.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Now that's your word for today. Take it applied to
- 3:49Speaker 2: your everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and
- 3:52Speaker 2: inspired it's your early morning praise party.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie
