- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, babies? How you doing? Happy Saturday! Do you
- 0:04Speaker 1: like my hat?
- 0:05Speaker 2: It says Lucky Duck, and that's because I feel like
- 0:08Speaker 2: a very lucky duck.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I love these hats.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I don't know even what they are, but I have
- 0:12Speaker 2: one that says, like, goat.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Lone wolf. I don't know. I like things with messages
- 0:17Speaker 1: on them. Adam hates it. I love it. Today is
- 0:19Speaker 1: the day.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We have all been waiting for, and yes, my babies,
- 0:21Speaker 2: I feel very much more myself.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I can talk. I can breathe. I can almost have words.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Just Not quite, but we're almost there. As you've seen
- 0:31Speaker 1: in the title of the video, this is the update.
- 0:33Speaker 2: That we have all been waiting for because the last
- 0:35Speaker 2: video you guys saw, the next day was my retrieval.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I was absolutely terrified. I was scared beyond belief. And
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm here to say that things went well. So let's
- 0:45Speaker 2: get into exactly what happened.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And of course... let you know the whole embryo situation,
- 0:52Speaker 1: so hold on.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Believe it or not, that night I slept well, and
- 0:54Speaker 2: I think it was because I didn't need to get
- 0:56Speaker 2: up at the butt crack of dawn, and we had
- 0:58Speaker 2: to leave around 10 o'clock, which was very, very easy.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So we ended up getting up, we headed to Toronto.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I was so nervous, I was like, Is there gonna
- 1:06Speaker 2: be traffic?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Because from here to.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Toronto, you always go through this place called Kitchener, and
- 1:10Speaker 2: it is always backed up. We coasted through, but we
- 1:12Speaker 2: did get caught up a couple times, and I ended up, like,
- 1:16Speaker 2: a couple minutes late.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But it was fine, and everything was chill, and they said,
- 1:19Speaker 1: go through the door with the big circle on it,
- 1:21Speaker 1: because I didn't know where to go.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So, I went in there, and it was pretty funny,
- 1:25Speaker 2: because I didn't know Adam and I were gonna be separated, like, immediately,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and they.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Were like, okay, Adam... here's your cup, and Selena, we're
- 1:32Speaker 1: gonna take you to the back. And I was like, whoa.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And they're like, yeah, this is the last time you're
- 1:34Speaker 1: gonna see each other until you're done the retrieval.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm not even actually ready for this.
- 1:40Speaker 2: So Adam and I went to the door. I gave
- 1:41Speaker 2: him a big hug. He's like, I'm so proud of you.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You're gonna do such a good job.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Like, da-da-da-da.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So I ended up sitting in this little room by myself.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I was so anxious.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It was hilarious. This nurse comes in. I'm, like, talking
- 1:51Speaker 1: to her, and she's like, I'm gonna get you an Ativan,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and then we're gonna talk.
- 1:55Speaker 2: No. so i had nativan which very much i had
- 2:01Speaker 2: never experienced before but it took me from being like
- 2:04Speaker 2: woo to not feeling woo but just being like woo
- 2:08Speaker 2: um she kind of explained the inside entire procedure to
- 2:11Speaker 2: me which again i kept telling her i was like
- 2:13Speaker 2: i am so scared of being awake for this experience
- 2:17Speaker 2: that it is like I almost backed out. Like I am,
- 2:20Speaker 2: I feel a little crippled with my anxiety in this respect.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And she was like, you know, we're pretty good about
- 2:27Speaker 1: that here. Like it's conscious sedation. I'm like, don't use
- 2:30Speaker 1: the word conscious. Don't do it. Don't please. So I
- 2:34Speaker 1: ended up sitting there for a while. It was a
- 2:36Speaker 1: couple hours before the doctor came in, but I think
- 2:38Speaker 1: it was good. I was just on my phone. I was,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I was scrolling. I knew that I had around 17 follicles,
- 2:44Speaker 1: which is, is good.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Um, and, uh, Adam was downstairs in the literal parking
- 2:51Speaker 2: garage under the building.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And he was just getting Uber eats. So I think
- 2:57Speaker 2: he was stressed out because he ordered from like four
- 3:00Speaker 2: different restaurants, um, where some binge eating Queens, but he
- 3:03Speaker 2: tried lots of things. And I just remember him texting
- 3:05Speaker 2: me and he just went, he said, I got you
- 3:07Speaker 2: Shake Shack burger for when you're done. And here I
- 3:09Speaker 2: am thinking this is like four hours from now, but
- 3:11Speaker 2: I was also like, thank you so much. Cause I
- 3:13Speaker 2: will be eating that burger. So the one thing that
- 3:16Speaker 2: I was also totally terrified of because I had a
- 3:18Speaker 2: bunch of different follicles was this thing called OHSS. And
- 3:22Speaker 2: the only way that I can describe this to you
- 3:24Speaker 2: is that after they take out your eggs, then instead
- 3:28Speaker 2: of your ovaries shrinking down, they just fill with liquid
- 3:31Speaker 2: and then your abdomen fills with liquid and then your
- 3:33Speaker 2: organs get pushed and then you.
- 3:36Speaker 1: It's drowning the right word. I don't think that's right,
- 3:39Speaker 1: but I guess it's super painful. It can be super dangerous.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And I just didn't want that.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So They told me high protein stuff and really salty stuff.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So in my car, I had ready a whole bag
- 3:51Speaker 2: of Miss Vicky's salt and vinegar chips, which I'm not
- 3:54Speaker 2: gonna lie, I have lived on lately.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So did I get OHSS?
- 3:58Speaker 2: You're about to find out. The moment came, Dr. L
- 4:01Speaker 2: came in, we took some pictures and I was like, hey,
- 4:05Speaker 2: it's happening. He's like, yeah, it's gonna happen right now.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm like, whoa, it's gonna happen?
- 4:08Speaker 2: And I had an IV in my arm and he
- 4:11Speaker 2: went to go scrub up and I went into the
- 4:13Speaker 2: retrieval room. So one thing that's fun, and I got
- 4:15Speaker 2: a lot of questions and people were like, why did
- 4:17Speaker 2: you get put out? In Canada, they do twilight or
- 4:20Speaker 2: conscious sedation, where in America, they just knock you out.
- 4:25Speaker 1: They put you under anesthesia and you are passed away
- 4:28Speaker 1: during your retrieval. But no, not me. Not me, guys.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So I went in that room and it was hilarious.
- 4:33Speaker 2: They're like, okay, get on the bed. They had these
- 4:35Speaker 2: giant stirrups. And I'm just sitting there. I'm like, wow,
- 4:37Speaker 2: there's a lot of people in this room for my
- 4:39Speaker 2: clam to just be clapping. Round of applause for everybody
- 4:43Speaker 2: in the room. Thank you for all you've done. You
- 4:46Speaker 2: get up, you scoot down, your legs are up. Like
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm talking like my, they were up.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I was comfortable though. And I'm like patting down.
- 4:53Speaker 2: She's like, no, you're good.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You're all covered up for now, for now.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And I was like, so I remember the doctor coming
- 4:59Speaker 2: in and I remember just saying out loud, cause I
- 5:02Speaker 2: guess she started the med.
- 5:03Speaker 1: She's like, the room might spin.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It didn't, but I'm going to tell you right now,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I just went, I feel so effing hammered.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Whoa! I remember doing that.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I have vague memories of speaking violently loud about cars, and.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I don't even know if this is real, but I
- 5:25Speaker 1: feel like I asked the doctor what he drove, and
- 5:28Speaker 1: then I was like, whoa, what color is it?
- 5:31Speaker 2: But I don't know, but I pretty much went in
- 5:34Speaker 2: for this retrieval. They said it was going to take
- 5:36Speaker 2: like 15 half an hour. I think it took more
- 5:38Speaker 2: around like 45 minutes or maybe an hour.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Gone.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I don't really remember waking up. I remember just going,
- 5:46Speaker 1: after they said my name.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And then I remember kind of sitting in a chair,
- 5:51Speaker 2: but I don't remember getting to the chair.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I don't remember anybody walking me to the chair. Like
- 5:56Speaker 1: I just.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Literally didn't remember any of that and i just remember
- 6:00Speaker 2: being like i'm alive but i'm dead i'm alive but
- 6:03Speaker 2: i'm dead and if you've seen on tiktok and on
- 6:06Speaker 2: instagram i kind of posted what the waking up was
- 6:08Speaker 2: like from this what are you doing i.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Was like we are getting ready today yeah you want
- 6:21Speaker 1: a liter cola i was like a curator hearing yeah
- 6:25Speaker 1: liter cola I don't know. I see the light. I
- 6:31Speaker 1: better not go in. Oh, it's you. I thought I
- 6:35Speaker 1: had to go. No, don't go to the light.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I was like delusional. I was having really weird thoughts.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I was saying weird things about different people. Like it was,
- 6:47Speaker 2: it was weird. Adam, they brought Adam in pretty quick.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And I remember the doctor coming in and I wanted
- 6:52Speaker 2: to like pull myself together so well to have like
- 6:55Speaker 2: a good conversation.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And I'm just like, Yeah, and he's like, well, I
- 6:58Speaker 1: do know you like cars. Because I was like, did
- 7:00Speaker 1: I say anything? He's like, I knew you liked cars.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And I was just like, oh, wow. And then he
- 7:05Speaker 1: was talking about something else. And I could hear him
- 7:07Speaker 1: talking to Adam. And I'd be like, yes, yes. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: would just pass out.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And the other thing too is like, I'm like, oh,
- 7:16Speaker 2: I was talking to Adam after, so he helped us
- 7:18Speaker 2: get down to the car and he's like, oh no.
- 7:20Speaker 2: He's like, you walked down to the car, like you
- 7:22Speaker 2: walked out of there, you got on the elevator, you
- 7:25Speaker 2: got into the truck, like you got in the car
- 7:27Speaker 2: by yourself.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And I was like, excuse me? All I remember is
- 7:30Speaker 1: being up there. I don't remember putting clothes on.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Somehow I found my Lip Smackers cotton candy roller lip
- 7:37Speaker 2: gloss because thankfully that made it home.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I remember laying in the truck all the way back,
- 7:44Speaker 1: a blanket.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Pulled up to here, and I remember just being asleep
- 7:48Speaker 2: but being awake and Adam being like, incoming, and I.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Would just go, and he would put a salt and
- 7:54Speaker 1: vinegar chip in my mouth.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And I guess on the way home, I ate almost
- 7:57Speaker 2: an entire bag of salt and vinegar Miss Vicky's chips
- 8:01Speaker 2: because I didn't want to get this OHSS. But I'm
- 8:04Speaker 2: skipping forward here because you're kind of curious how many
- 8:06Speaker 2: eggs were retrieved, right? If you didn't see it everywhere else,
- 8:08Speaker 2: the eggs that we retrieved were 25. We retrieved 25 embryos.
- 8:15Speaker 2: So out of the 25 embryos, they needed to be
- 8:17Speaker 2: mature enough to fertilize. Because, you know, Adam went and
- 8:20Speaker 2: did his part successfully, easily, and without any pain, of course.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But yes, Adam went and did his job. They went
- 8:27Speaker 2: in some room. They're like, 19 of these are mature.
- 8:31Speaker 2: So incredible numbers.
- 8:32Speaker 1: 19. 19. right?
- 8:34Speaker 2: Usually between every call. So they call you on the
- 8:36Speaker 2: first day, let you know what fertilized. They call you
- 8:39Speaker 2: on the third day, let you know who's still growing.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And then they call you on the fifth or sixth
- 8:44Speaker 2: day to let you know who turned into an embryo.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And then another day, if other ones were on waiting
- 8:49Speaker 2: and between calls, you lose 30 to 50% of the babies.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I call them babies, um, between each call, which is sad,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but to me, I'm just like, you know what? This
- 8:58Speaker 2: is a part of what I'm doing. I'm which is
- 9:03Speaker 2: a weird choice to make, but you know what I mean.
- 9:06Speaker 2: So they got 25 eggs, okay? So now I'll let
- 9:09Speaker 2: you know, because we got our first egg call in
- 9:11Speaker 2: a minute. So I remember getting home. I don't remember
- 9:14Speaker 2: coming inside, but I remember being so nauseous. I remember
- 9:17Speaker 2: having a shower. I think Adam helped me shower.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I don't know. I was in pain. On that last
- 9:23Speaker 1: day before retrieval, you feel like there are pumpkins inside
- 9:26Speaker 1: your body. And these pumpkins are.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Like, whoa, let me out.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Let me do things.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And you look pregnant, which I got a belly, so
- 9:35Speaker 2: it was just bigger, which was not fun. But I
- 9:38Speaker 2: remember Adam helped me shower, and I remember Adam was
- 9:40Speaker 2: in the shower, and then I was like, I'm gonna
- 9:41Speaker 2: throw up, and he was like, are you sure?
- 9:43Speaker 1: And I yarked. A whole bag of Miss Vicky's salt
- 9:46Speaker 1: and vinegar chips. Yeah, that's what happened. It was gross.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And then I got into bed, and Adam said, you
- 9:56Speaker 2: probably don't, but do you want that Shake Shack burger?
- 9:58Speaker 1: And I was like, you Yes.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So then I ate half a Shake Shack burger and
- 10:05Speaker 2: I fell asleep and I woke up and, um, I
- 10:09Speaker 2: felt very alive. Everything hurt, but not in an intolerable way.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Like I didn't take any pain medication. Like if the
- 10:15Speaker 2: cramps were bad, I got, I took Tylenol, which was
- 10:18Speaker 2: like a whatever. Um, And then we are waiting for
- 10:22Speaker 2: our day one call. So we get the call and
- 10:25Speaker 2: they say, out of your 19 mature.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Follicles, eggs, 18 of them fertilized. And then like in
- 10:36Speaker 1: the 19 one, we're still waiting on, we're still waiting.
- 10:38Speaker 2: It might do something.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So first, these are great numbers.
- 10:42Speaker 2: So then it's just kind of a panic and trying
- 10:43Speaker 2: like not to focus on things violently to wait for
- 10:48Speaker 2: that next call.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So Over these next couple days, I'm worried about OHSS.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm feeling crazy.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I have to take this drug called Letrozole, which is
- 10:56Speaker 2: also known as Femera, which I remember from trying way.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Way, way, way back, back, back in the day.
- 11:03Speaker 2: So here I am taking this drug, wondering why I
- 11:07Speaker 2: am the sickest I have ever been.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Because people said, you know, I thought that all the
- 11:10Speaker 1: shots were going to be the worst part.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I would gladly take all those shots again, not to
- 11:13Speaker 2: deal with what I dealt with after the retrieval, which
- 11:15Speaker 2: was this Letrozole. And I don't want to scare you
- 11:17Speaker 2: because a lot of people do totally fine with it.
- 11:20Speaker 2: but I was nauseous. I was like to the point
- 11:23Speaker 2: that I'm like rocking on the couch, but you can't
- 11:24Speaker 2: throw up, but you're just like, oh, I'm going to
- 11:26Speaker 2: be so sick and everything hurt. And I'm going to
- 11:28Speaker 2: be honest, I was definitely supposed to take them to
- 11:30Speaker 2: the end, but I didn't take my last one. But
- 11:33Speaker 2: I am a week and a day past retrieval. Everything
- 11:36Speaker 2: is back to size. I am feeling fantastic. I don't
- 11:40Speaker 2: have any pain. I don't have the OHSS. I definitely
- 11:43Speaker 2: wouldn't know by now. There's definitely not extra fluid. After
- 11:47Speaker 2: the retrieval, a couple of days, I've got back down to,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I call it my, my, my pre, my pre-retrieval weight,
- 11:53Speaker 2: because the weight I had gained there, I, I honestly
- 11:56Speaker 2: had put on about nine pounds of just, I.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Think, good old eating and ovary swelling, I don't know.
- 12:02Speaker 2: If that's normal, but that all just, like, came off,
- 12:05Speaker 2: which was fantastic, because I didn't like that, um, but yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 2: so the, so there was the firmware that I had
- 12:13Speaker 2: to take, and then I also had to take another, like,
- 12:16Speaker 2: estrogen pill to bring down my estrogen, and put it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Welcome home into the hole.
- 12:24Speaker 2: So I did that one till the end. And then
- 12:26Speaker 2: interesting was exactly five days after my retrieval, I got
- 12:29Speaker 2: my period. And I just like that because it just
- 12:31Speaker 2: reset my body. So I am feeling.
- 12:34Speaker 1: So much better. Okay. So now let's go into our
- 12:38Speaker 1: day three call. Day three. Yes.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Day three, all 18 embryos. We're still growing. We hadn't
- 12:51Speaker 2: lost any of them. So they were like, since ago,
- 12:54Speaker 2: I like, we're going to.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Call you on the sixth day, which was yesterday. Nope.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Nope. Yes. No. Yes.
- 13:01Speaker 1: The sixth day. I have no memory. It doesn't work
- 13:03Speaker 1: in my brain.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So they call me and we're, this is where apparently
- 13:07Speaker 2: you lose the most, which is you lose your 30
- 13:08Speaker 2: to 50%. We ended up going from 18. So this
- 13:13Speaker 2: is now, these are not embryos. This is what made
- 13:15Speaker 2: it to embryos. So we went from 18 to to 11.
- 13:20Speaker 2: So we had 11 embryos, but four were still growing.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:24Speaker 2: So I had this feeling that 15 was going to
- 13:26Speaker 2: be the number. So that was 15. My lucky number
- 13:28Speaker 2: is 13. And I was like, oh, how fun would
- 13:30Speaker 2: that be? So they're like, there's four more that are
- 13:32Speaker 2: still cooking.
- 13:33Speaker 1: They might turn into something. I'm like, all right, all right,
- 13:36Speaker 1: all right, all right. We're going to call you tomorrow,
- 13:39Speaker 1: probably in the afternoon.
- 13:40Speaker 2: So Adam and I decided to have a date because
- 13:41Speaker 2: yesterday was the first day that I felt like I
- 13:43Speaker 2: could exist on human planes. Where I wasn't panicking and
- 13:46Speaker 2: I didn't feel sick. Because I'm not going to lie,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I'm still dealing with some hormones. It's been an adventure.
- 13:53Speaker 2: But they called yesterday. And two more of those little
- 14:00Speaker 2: eggies turned into embryos. So we ended up with 13 embryos.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And then they all had to go on to genetic testing.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And genetic testing, I think it was around $ 4, 000 or something.
- 14:09Speaker 1: But that's for 8 eggs.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And then each additional egg was $ 350. I just want
- 14:18Speaker 2: to test them all. I want to, because like I
- 14:20Speaker 2: have some health issues. Adam has some health issues. If
- 14:23Speaker 2: we're going all the way through all of this anyways,
- 14:26Speaker 2: I want to see who is like survival of the fittest.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Like they're going to grade them. That's what they do
- 14:31Speaker 1: with genetic testing. They're going to grade them.
- 14:32Speaker 2: They say which ones are normal and abnormal. And they're
- 14:36Speaker 2: going to go from like best to last. And I
- 14:37Speaker 2: want to start from the best and just like work
- 14:39Speaker 2: our way. Work our way through our eggs. It's so
- 14:42Speaker 2: weird to talk about this. It's been kind of an
- 14:45Speaker 2: emotional battle because during all of this, I was like, oh, like,
- 14:47Speaker 2: it's so sad that I can't carry it. But the
- 14:50Speaker 2: one thing that I learned talking to the doctor is
- 14:52Speaker 2: because of my uterus. And this question still keeps coming up.
- 14:54Speaker 2: So I want to be really.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Clear about my uterus.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I have a eugorneate uterus, and pretty much the doctor
- 15:04Speaker 2: explained that as I have half a uterus. And the
- 15:07Speaker 2: reason why none of my pregnancies have lasted is it's
- 15:10Speaker 2: just not a hospitable environment for them to grow past
- 15:13Speaker 2: a certain stage. Not only that, the doctor let us
- 15:15Speaker 2: know that this was the best decision for us, because
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know that's something that a lot of people also,
- 15:20Speaker 2: they're like, is this the best decision? And, you know,
- 15:26Speaker 2: it feels like... this is our last shot. This is
- 15:30Speaker 2: the last thing that I'm going to try to do.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I have such amazing people around me and being able
- 15:35Speaker 2: to meet the woman who is.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Our surrogate is amazing.
- 15:40Speaker 2: And having her a part, it felt like it was
- 15:42Speaker 2: meant to be because she's also been in this situation
- 15:45Speaker 2: a few times before.
- 15:46Speaker 1: And, um, the doctor had let us know.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That the way my uterus is, a lot of women
- 15:52Speaker 2: give birth so early and that causes so many hard things.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And I just don't want to push for my body
- 15:58Speaker 2: to do this, and then give someone a life.
- 16:00Speaker 1: That isn't good.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And then the other side of the argument is, why
- 16:03Speaker 2: don't you guys adopt? I have looked into it, and
- 16:08Speaker 2: I have spoken to people who.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Have adopted around here, and I.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Would love to adopt one day, but the difficulty of
- 16:21Speaker 2: adopting around here seems kind of insane. And that was
- 16:25Speaker 2: heartbreaking as well, but I... you know, maybe having a
- 16:28Speaker 2: child would make that easier. I just, I think it
- 16:33Speaker 2: would just be, I don't know. And I know I don't,
- 16:36Speaker 2: I don't have to give anybody an explanation, but I
- 16:40Speaker 2: just also, I want to experience.
- 16:45Speaker 1: This, I guess now. Cause when I was like, but
- 16:47Speaker 1: first I want to experience having a baby, which I
- 16:49Speaker 1: will never have. And then it's like, but then let's just,
- 16:52Speaker 1: let's try this. We have this amazing opportunity. Let's try this.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And that's what we're doing. Anyways, I'm rambling.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I'm waiting for this genetic testing call where they're going
- 17:01Speaker 2: to let us know how many of these embryos are
- 17:05Speaker 2: normal that we can use, which is so crazy that
- 17:08Speaker 2: science can do that now. And then, you know, we're
- 17:12Speaker 2: going to move on to transfer. And there is like,
- 17:15Speaker 2: depending on how things line up, we might get the
- 17:18Speaker 2: best Christmas present ever, which would be crazy.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But if not, that's fine, too.
- 17:25Speaker 2: But I'm just glad you guys went along for the
- 17:26Speaker 2: ride and this has been a journey.
- 17:31Speaker 1: It's been an experience. It's been amazing. I'm just glad
- 17:38Speaker 1: I didn't go get the OHSS.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And, you know, I also want to say thank you
- 17:43Speaker 2: to everybody in the comments last video, like people who
- 17:45Speaker 2: are asking questions and people who are answering them and
- 17:49Speaker 2: also people who have dealt with a lot of the
- 17:50Speaker 2: same things that I have and people with Eukaryotic uteruses
- 17:53Speaker 2: like it's something you're born with like it's a genetic
- 17:56Speaker 2: abnormality and I also found out that a lot of
- 17:58Speaker 2: people who do have Eukaryotic uteruses only have one kidney
- 18:03Speaker 2: which I have two which is great I had a
- 18:05Speaker 2: kidney stone once yeah that wasn't fun I just keep
- 18:12Speaker 2: thinking back to being under anesthesia well not the twilight
- 18:16Speaker 2: sedation And, um, guys, I'm such an awkward human being.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And I think I'm just more fearful of the shit
- 18:25Speaker 2: that I say more than actually being underneath the anesthesia
- 18:31Speaker 2: and not feeling things at this point. I want to
- 18:33Speaker 2: know what I said to that doctor so bad. And
- 18:36Speaker 2: I want to apologize if I said anything not good.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Because back in the day, I mean, they tell me
- 18:45Speaker 1: the things they say. I had, oh, my wisdom teeth out.
- 18:47Speaker 1: And I said some things and I was a little nasty.
- 18:51Speaker 1: So I don't.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Think that happened, but if it did, and by some
- 18:57Speaker 2: weird chance in the world, they see this video, apologies,
- 19:03Speaker 2: apologies to you. Okay, guys, I want to thank you
- 19:08Speaker 2: so much for hanging out with me and coming for
- 19:10Speaker 2: this update. I know it's something that we've all been
- 19:12Speaker 2: waiting for. Um, It's been a great experience. I hope
- 19:16Speaker 2: I never have to do it again. Let's just hope that,
- 19:19Speaker 2: can you imagine all 13 of these eggs are like,
- 19:22Speaker 2: I don't know what these are made of.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Oh, that's the one last thing I want to talk
- 19:25Speaker 1: to you guys about.
- 19:26Speaker 2: The reason why I think I didn't lose too many eggs.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I take so many vitamins and I have been taking
- 19:34Speaker 2: them for a couple months now. It's how I've gotten
- 19:36Speaker 2: like Really strong, shiny hair and why my skin is
- 19:40Speaker 2: so clear and why I function really well, I think,
- 19:43Speaker 2: as a human and kind.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Of how I um, cured a lot of my anxiety.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And I'm going to tell you what I take right now,
- 19:49Speaker 2: just for fun. So I take my blood pressure med,
- 19:52Speaker 2: not for you guys. Um, hopefully I'll be off that eventually.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I take the MTFR-5, one milligram, because I did, um,
- 20:01Speaker 2: gene testing on myself and I found out that my,
- 20:03Speaker 2: it's called the mother fucker, gene was shut off. So
- 20:06Speaker 2: I take that. It's a kind of folic acid. I
- 20:09Speaker 2: take a magnesium every single day. I take krill oil
- 20:13Speaker 2: every single day. And then I take these other ones.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I don't know what they're called right now, but it's
- 20:17Speaker 2: like beef liver in pills and crushed bones in pills
- 20:22Speaker 2: because I don't drink a lot of milk because I
- 20:24Speaker 2: have lactose intolerance, but I call it something else like
- 20:29Speaker 2: lactose F off intolerance because I just suffer because I
- 20:32Speaker 2: eat all the dairy that I can in the world.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I take that. And then I also take Wow, Adam.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Wish you were here. I really wish you were here
- 20:45Speaker 1: right now.
- 20:45Speaker 2: What's the one that makes your... I think one that
- 20:47Speaker 2: makes your tummy hurt, but keeps you from getting sick,
- 20:49Speaker 2: but it doesn't make my tummy hurt.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Anyways, we're here.
- 20:51Speaker 2: I can't wait to give you guys another update. Can
- 20:55Speaker 2: you imagine the next update? It's just like, there's triplets
- 20:57Speaker 2: and they're coming right now. That'd be crazy. Happy Thanksgiving
- 21:01Speaker 2: to all of you guys in America and happy cold
- 21:05Speaker 2: to everybody in Canada.
