  [SPEAKER_02]: Some of those guys who are street free agents are signing some trades that are being not officially officially yet because they can't become official until Wednesday when the new league year starts.

  [SPEAKER_02]: We're starting to see some clarification from the Broncos.

  [SPEAKER_02]: of some stuff that they're going to be getting into.

  [SPEAKER_02]: So the news for today is the Andre Tillman Devon key Tyler Bede and.

  [SPEAKER_02]: Um, today, they also made it clear that they are not putting any kind of tinder Jordan Jackson was yet was the fourth one.

  [SPEAKER_02]: They also are not putting a restricted for agent tender on Lucas Cole and while they have interest in and bring in a back.

  [SPEAKER_02]: It's a similar situation with your little McLaughlin, they're both going to test the free agent market Denver is going to keep in contact with them.

  [SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, Tyler Badeh, they feel he has value on third down as a block and receiver.

  [SPEAKER_02]: He's a depth piece that they've been trying to develop.

  [SPEAKER_02]: Devon Key showed tremendous improvement when he had to see the field this year.

  [SPEAKER_02]: And Dr. Tillman has been, I think that was the biggest no brainer move.

  [SPEAKER_02]: Explosive rights for agents, that is basically the bare minimum that you can get.

  [SPEAKER_02]: And it's only for a little over a million against the cap for the year.

  [SPEAKER_02]: It's a no brainer for a past rush that has done what he has done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and just adding to that rotation, I mean, obviously Nick Benito, Jonathan Cooper, Jonah Ellis, who continues to like battle with injuries and whatnot, keeping a guy like down to a children who has been a quality run defender as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's a guy that can get after the quarterback if he needs to, it makes a lot of sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to find that you said he was an exclusive rights free agent, is that correct?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then going to the original round tender for guys like Lucas Crowell who would have been it was a restrictive region.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then Jelil McLaughlin, the original round tender on that for a restrictive region is

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those guys are not necessarily worth that kind of money on the open market.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it makes sense for the Broncos to not tend to those guys as restricted free agents.

  [SPEAKER_02]: The cost and, you know, a regional round second round first round, they're really getting expensive.

  [SPEAKER_02]: Right now, I mean, a regional round tenders are supposed to be worth a little bit more

  [SPEAKER_02]: little bit more than basically rookie contracts at the minimum at this point, or he contracts, but players at this point are their career for the minerals.

  [SPEAKER_02]: It's supposed to be a little bit more than that, and it's almost three times as much.

  [SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of gotten out of hand, and then second round tenders, first round tenders, that's all the same stuff that we've kind of touched on with Jake Juan Macmillan, getting his second round tender, it made the most sense for him

  [SPEAKER_02]: So, it's tough when you have guys who are struggling to find their way to contribute on the offense, issue staying healthy, things like that, and it is a situation of, they're just not worth it.

  [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Denver's done this before.

  [SPEAKER_02]: They've typically said, we're not going to tend to do you, but we're going to sign you for a one year extension for a little bit more than a minimum.

  [SPEAKER_02]: So what they've done multiple times over the years, this year they're just letting those guys hit the market, shows you what to think about them.

  [SPEAKER_02]: But exclusivites, very, very, very rarely do you not see an exclusive rights free agent tender because it is basically the bare minimum that they can do.

  [SPEAKER_02]: And they have no negotiating power.

  [SPEAKER_02]: They, it's not like unless they're not tender, they can't go to other teams.

  [SPEAKER_02]: They are stuck with their team with that.

  [SPEAKER_02]: They can't, you know, focalize interest or anything like that, not like we

  [SPEAKER_02]: So, it is, again, it's a no-brainer for exosupportions, especially again, with somebody like Tellman, who's part of that rotation, and has done what he's done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and like I said, I mean, with his work as a past Russia situationally, his work as a run defender, just kind of being that accentuating piece to the foreman rotation, five-man rotation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Jonah Ellis, with the injuries, he's kind of dealt with, obviously Nick Benito,

  [SPEAKER_00]: adding a guy that adds value, a guy that you don't have to pay a whole bunch of money, but still plays a large portion of the snaps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I believe he's like somewhere around 30 to 35% of snaps played on the defensive side of the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a guy that you want to have on your roster, just to help not only just accentuate the value of valuable position, but to

  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's assume that's the way to put this, except to make the value of a valuable position, but also extend that salary cap space to other valuable positions, like why receiver, like the quarterback that you have, often the offensive line, where obviously the Broncos just extended Alex Paul Chesky the other day, they're not gonna touch the Ben Towers contract over the next couple of days, he's gonna play on that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: $13 million price tag like to have a a player that's an impactful rotational piece on such a valuable contract at a valuable position is something that you absolutely have to do.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Alger makes a lot of sense for the Broncos because he's going to be cost effective and he also allows you more flexibility in the running back room to go and get a kind of like JK Dobbins who going back to, I believe it was,

  [SPEAKER_00]: the Monday night football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he had the interview where he was speaking Spanish, talking about how Baudenix is special, says Baudenix is a special like he loves being here in Denver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: the postseason interviews like I think Dobbins wants to be here and you can get him out of it a ridiculously low price for for what his ability is he can be a quality third running back for you and it's going to be a drastic upgrade over I got like Jelil McLaughlin or a Tyler Paday like if you can get all jeer here in Denver and you can get JK Dobbins to to be that third running back RJ Harvey obviously with the run with the

  [SPEAKER_02]: He was released and then, uh, Tremaine Edmunds being released by the Chicago Bears, uh, both of them could be really good options, but as Nick and I were talking about this morning, there's been a lot of talk and a lot of reports about Denver being,

  [SPEAKER_02]: Very much involved in trying to get Alex Singleton resigned before for agency kicks off or before the legal tampering period kicks off on Monday And it's for a pay raise he was making about six million dollars on an average for your bases on his old deal and the talks have been you know eight to ten million on this new extension

  [SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be at all surprised.

  [SPEAKER_02]: If it's a very similar structure of what we've seen kind of been that that standard 10 year or 10 million at year, 10 million average per year basis kind of contract we've seen.

  [SPEAKER_02]: DJ Jones initially signed on, somebody signed this contract last year, and they've basically signed somebody to that kind of contract almost every single year since

  [SPEAKER_02]: But again, there's also reports out there that they want to bring justice or not back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's, man, what a great question and a great way to blow up the entire show that I had planned for the day because I mean, you hit on like 90% of the things that I wanted to talk about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if Alex Singleton comes back, you're talking about leader in the locker room and got it incredibly well respected.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got a great great football intelligence and just A quality player that you want to keep around, especially when it comes to rewarding the players that you've had on your roster for several years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: this is actually a great pivoting point here because I was listening to the radio earlier today and Jeff Legwald from ESPN was talking about how the Broncos could be approaching this free agency period and while everybody wants them to go out and make these big time splashes, why don't we talk about the big time splashes that they made on their own roster over the last handful of seasons?

  [SPEAKER_00]: whether it's extensions to Portland Sutton, Quinn Miners, Zach Allen, going and getting a guy like John Franklin Myers, they've made splashes before, paying, Brandon Jones, like they've done this, paying their own guys, keeping everybody in tow and just keeping the core of this roster together, why wouldn't Alex Singleton be a player that you want to keep around with you?
