- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Come party with us families included everything is family atmosphere kids under 18 free to every event we ever host that is so important, but if you do travel on the road, we're going to be in Australia, Mexico City Atlanta Dallas Seattle and we just added the chargers for the Thursday night till gate only, which layer.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: I know you just got back from LA.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, 40 hours for a short trip.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Comparty with us, man, tickets are up right now.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: And there is cheapest are going to be these events do have capacities and what not when they do sell out.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if you are thinking about going, do not wait.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, I'm thinking this, I, you know, I traveled last year to New Orleans.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then of course, we traveled in the playoffs.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't sure exactly where I wanted to go this year.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Went to the joint practice, not going to Australia.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: But I was looking at it, I'm thinking, you know what, I wanna go October 26th to Atlanta because I wanna spend the next week there in Atlanta with my daughter and maybe get my wife to go.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm thinking the October 25th weekend in Atlanta, I'll do that one.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm thinking November 15th,
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: against Dallas.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm a big A&M fan.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm thinking about going to A&M, Tennessee on Saturday.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then turning around and going driving the three hours to Dallas and catching Niners Cowboys at Jerry's World on that Sunday.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm thinking.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking in
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Last year we went to, excuse me, last year we went to LSU for LSU Florida and it was absolutely awesome, absolutely amazing, but I got to hit Kyle Field.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: I have not been to Kyle Field and it's been renovated.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: It looks amazing.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big A&M fan and I'm wearing my long horn shirt today, by the way, sorry.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm balancing it out over here.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just ordered a new A&M shirt the other day.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was wearing on the stream.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, A&M Tennessee.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then Dallas Niners.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a little too far A&M beats Tennessee and Niners beat Cowboys.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Perfect football towns man.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be at both.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: You got to come tailgate with us.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're doing the college football thing, which is awesome.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: You got to come see us to the tailgate right before the game.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: You got it.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I got it
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely will.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: I definitely will and in Kev Kev fired up.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was thinking maybe hit your deal in mid December and go down there on the Thursday night.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe to what I kind of did today except maybe spend the night.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: So like our did yesterday.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: So like maybe fly down in the morning.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Go see Niners chargers spend the night come back the next morning.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like that.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: yeah thinking about that as well.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, and then of course, the playoffs.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm hoping three or four trips this year, traveling with the nine-year fans and the nine-year faithful.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing like it, dude.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I really had never experienced it until recently, but man, going out on the road, that trip to New Orleans last year was epic.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: absolutely epic.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: And some of the videos we did are some of the greatest videos we've ever done.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, traveling with the nine-year fans is always very cool.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, we're going to definitely do that.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: And if you guys get a chance to, John, so if they want to connect with you, what's the best way for them to to do this?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: Hit your hit you on Twitter, hit your website, where do you want to direct people?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Is there an 800 number?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's right.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: There is 1-800 Chapman rules.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm just okay.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: 49ers rush road trip dock operator standing by.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's the place for tickets and where the every event is located is already loaded times, details, maps, you name it.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you need to reach out to us and you have a question, 49ers rush podcasts at gmail.com.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: We will get to it as quick as we can.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Start of the season.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: We get pretty full.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: But we men, we're always here for you.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: social media where all over the place.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll get to you.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you want tickets for the Irish rushro trip dot com.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: All right, everybody hit like and subscribe as we're just getting rolling here on a Wednesday night.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: We call the stream 49ers might have a bigger issue than they realize.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't want to overreact as a joint practice.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: But the nine or defense specifically, the nine or offense is a veteran offense.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's an older unit led by Brock Perti, but there's, you know, trance older kiddles older that got some older players on offense.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: CMC, Mike Evans, but I think there's reason to believe that there's enough pedigree there and there's enough talent there and Kyle with the scheme and and Perti with the way he's playing, nine or so, going to kind of 30 points of game type offense.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be really good in the red zone.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and they played pretty well against the charger defense.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: They just didn't score in the red zone and they struggled a little bit, um, completing passes in the move, the ball drill.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't a great practice for the Niners offense, but the Niners defense with no McCell and no Bosa.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't set the edge in the run game.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't put any heat on her bird.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: He sat back there and carved him up.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: They're speed at the wide receiver position then overwhelm the Niners' safeties who do not handle top to your speed all that well.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: And they just, the 49ers look like without a pass rush.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you said, what bothers you?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: What concerns you?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: What concerns me is that that Titans game
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Titus Leo was it's been on four practice quads and he's already been waved by the Niners since the game and he had a sack in the game So it just tells you and you look at the 49ers Depth charge and you look at what they have at the defense of Nspot It's just a lot of dudes, you know, I mean it's like you got
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: McCell, but he's coming off an injury and he probably won't be there week one.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: You got Bosa, who's had three ACL tears, and at some point, you know, he's probably going to have a fourth.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he just, you know, he seems somewhat injury prone.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Then after that, yeah, Keyon White, who's, you know, as he had defensive end, as he had defensive tackle, he's 285, 290 pounds.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: You got Sam Aquay knew who does a lot of good things, but he's nothing special.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got Ramello Heights, but third ground pick, he's awfully light.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's got some special traits, but he's very, very light.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got four guys that you just signed, Quentin Bell, Victor, Dima Kigi, Xavier Thomas, and Agbo Ocaroncoo.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: And you're playing Titus Leo in meaningful snaps in the preseason game one.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're, I think it's, they got a real issue.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: Today, Vita Vega resigned with Tampa.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: He will not be coming to the Niners, but the Niners got to do something about their defensive front.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: They do not have enough, and there's a long way to go, and it just looks, they look woefully short on the defensive line, like so short that it made to rail, you know, them this year.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: How do you see it?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's so funny because I was trying to gauge where nine or fancy just from a depth chart perspective.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just a simple question.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: What's position, concerns you more, left guard or safety?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: The overwhelming answer, which was not a poll question.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted it up between those two.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody the comments just said, rush, rush, rush, rush.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, pass rush is at the forefront of a lot of 49ers fans.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Mind, rightfully so, 20 stacks last year.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: dead last, you know, in the NFL, one of the worst seasons ever.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the, the difference is I think the answers are starting to return.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: One, both so was not out there.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: Keon White is back in pads.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's huge.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be a starting defensive end until McElcomes back, which McElcomes will come back.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Ramello and a lot of the clips you were down there in El Segundo, a lot of would be sex.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: So that is promising to start to see you, didn't see a lot of that in the very first preseason game.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that's huge.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: But also Digi Zua.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: He is a guy that changes everything, yeah.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then the addition of Rahim Morris, he is a manufacturer of pressure.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: That is, Robert Sala has never been that.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you can go look at the sack numbers for Robert Sala throughout his entire career as a DC or head coach that 2019 season was kind of the anomaly, whenever he had murderers row over there.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Rehearses a person that can manufacture, how much are you going to do that and joint practices?
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're not taking the quarterback to the ground, whatever else.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think they want to see what this is going to look like early in the September before they make any drastic changes, Larry.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want them to bolster it.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: I want them to add to it, but I think it's going to be a lot of the back-in guys that we're seeing now with Diamond KG,
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: man, let's see, let's just see what we got, perhaps the interior can help and blitzing can help and the fever backer can help and man, they're blitzing those nickel and corners and safety's like crazy.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: So again, you're adapting the aggression level and going after the quarterback,
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: I do not anticipate the Niners being around 20 sex this year.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to just drastically outperform that very low bar I know.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that's why you go get reemorse.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you trade for OSA.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you spend another third on Ramello, which is gonna be a slow developing progress, but showed some promising things in the joint practice.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, it's a concern, but both that comes back and the kill comes back.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Key on whites, back already.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think they're excited for what they will have, but still not gonna be a top five, or even top 10 pass ratio.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: concerns me that this thing could, you know, I mean, I did a deep dive the other day on defense events that could become available.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, it's, it's a, it's a, it's a very lengthy list.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, you know, there's some big names on here.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Cave on Tibido, Max Crosby, Josh Sweat and Baron Browning and Arizona, but they're in the division, Alex Heismith from Pittsburgh, maybe they ought to lot to from Indianapolis.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: If they fill out a lot of things, you know, we'll see, Kaden Curry.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: The Ohio State Defense event has been a really nice find for the cults in the pre-season.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's look good and so has George Gums, the Florida kid.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: So they got two young defense events there and who knows.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, you know, they also have Michael Clemens and they've got guys that the foreigners could definitely use, but I'm looking at, you know, this is a number of teams around, you know, that the Niners will probably be looking at the deadline.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I don't know.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not sure it's going to be beauty in the eye of the boulder.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, there's, you know, who gets cut?
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Who gets cut that they had a high grade on?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, is there anybody real, is there a difference maker out there they can get?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: Because to me, it's like your, the defense.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: People all the Niners are old, none of the Niners' offense is old.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners' defense is young, and the average age of the four-and-a-earnd defences, like 26 years of age, it's one of the youngest defences in the league.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: The question is, do they have enough past rush to cover
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, to cover up their their coverage on the back end, you know, and to and can they play, we know where he was going to blitz more when you blitz.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're going to play more man does that mean that the nine or secondary gets roasted because they can't cover man to man or does that solve that and the joint practice is right.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you couldn't speed.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's all get the biggest factor on in the year ahead is.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: When you get into games against Stafford and Donald, and you get into key second half possessions, can you put heat on those guys and move them off the spot with four?
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, rushing with four, you have to be able to rush with four.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get it done, sending a fifth guy in a six guy and just crossing your fingers that's staffered, you know, 38-year-old staffer, or darn old, who's well coach at this point and pretty, pretty veteran himself that they're not going to be able to find the open guy.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: They are going to be able to find the open guy and it's going to be a rough situation for the 49ers.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: So can they get it?
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: can they get it done with four?
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then if they can't get it done with four, you know, Chanahan made it seem like some people think that going from solid to redeem is a major downgrade.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I would see it that way.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think Chanahan sees it that way.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think solos, you know, Rob's, I mean, Bob solos, not buddy Ryan, all right.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's not
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: defensive minds of all time, you know.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like he's he was pretty ordinary and he was on his way getting fired until they drafted Nick Bosa.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: People forget that.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: Then they drafted Nick Bosa.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: They had a lot more past rush and suddenly, you know, he's a genius.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I like him.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think he's the greatest defense of coach that ever lived and people make it sound like he is.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: So how do you see solid to redeem?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: an awesome question first off and I don't think enough people are talking about this Robert Sal is a great D.C.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's very very good.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: What Robert Sal is best at is simplicity up front and beating quarterbacks that he should be like, what do I mean?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: We bet all the time.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's so we made a lot of money, bet it on Robert Sal, whatever he's played against a young inexperienced quarterback, he does the job consistently well his defenses do.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now, any time Robert solid plays against one of the top-notch play callers, McVay, Kevin O'Connell, that you co-in down in Florida, like, do gets taken to the woodshed.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the top games last year, bid Johnson, like whenever you're playing a top-tier quarterback and a top-tier play caller that is advanced, Robert Sala is always behind the April.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Always.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: That is not true with Reemorse.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, if you want to make the argument that Robert saw is a better DC than where he Morris, that can be made.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's had more top 10 defenses per year and rankings and all that stuff.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: remorse is like a junk ball pitcher your red socks got me and like you don't know what you're going to get so it it's a lot more just man he's coming for you it's a little unorthodox and it is very unprecedented it's not as extreme as what you see with Brian Flores and Minnesota
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he is a guy that goes after you and the five man fronts and the fever backer and the blitzers and all that stuff.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: So you get a little bit more variance because when you blitz as you said, man, you can get toast on the back end.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: So with with where he Morris, and this is a big reason why it didn't work out for him as a head coach, you lose games that you should not lose because if the quarterback,
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: can diagnose that the blitz is coming and he hits you on a hot route, man, you're giving up big swings, positives and negatives.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: So we're he Morris against quality play colors.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take him 10 out of 10.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Sala, I'll take him against the inexperienced play caller and inexperienced quarterback 10 out of 10 times.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: So they both have their pros and cons, but if the 40 dinners are competing, right, we're had they fall in short.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Andy Reed, Patrick Mahomes, right?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Mick Vay, you talk about Kevin O'Connell.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: He toast everybody, whenever he has a decent quarterback like Rahim Morris is built for that.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to lose a couple more and give up some 30 burgers to some teams that you probably aren't used to giving that up.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: Tamiko Ryan's very, very consistent as that as well.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: But Rahim Morris is at his best vers top tier playcals.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: That is the main difference and that's what I think 49er fans want to see.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what Kyle wants to see.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: Can we put up quality defense against some of these up top tier quarterbacks and play colors, especially the division.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and I think to where he's also kind of known as a guy who can build positive culture with young players, he gets them to play hard.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: I ask Caceric and he's like, you can, he's like, I can already tell why players play so hard for this guy because he, he really builds up a lot of, you know, them with a lot of confidence and he builds their trust.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: and he's he's high energy and he's very pro player.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: What I also like is that he can he's done it with the three four.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's done it with a four three.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: He'll play to his talent.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what true coaching is.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's like my scheme, my scheme.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what's his scheme?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because he runs three, four, he runs four, three, he runs five man fronts.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's, you know, to me, you know, I think they, they needed to mix it up.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: They needed to be more multiple on the front end and on the back end.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: They have gotten very predictable.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the same people that are saying, oh, where he's a downgrade from solid, we're saying that, you know,
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: Sala was too vanilla and didn't try enough last year and, you know, I think Sala's a good coach don't give you wrong, but I think they're very comparable, you know, I really do.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, I think you can make an argument that Sala's better based on some of the results, but then you could also make an argument that reem is more adaptable.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Robert solids, you know, get it to, would you rather see them go with the wide nine and, and a lot of zone behind it, or would you rather see them go with, you know, variable fronts.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's wide nine as a base, but here come more five man, you know, that five man surface look and you're looking at more like five two looks and, you know, it's like a little bit more multiple on the back end, you're sending more pressure, you're a little bit more hard to gauge, you're playing more man coverage.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't know, you know, it's interesting.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, shanahan made it seem like they needed the change.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, the change was predicated on solid, you know, getting hired away.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: So they would have stayed with solid.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think happily if he had, if he had stuck around.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, instead he gets the Titans gig and they move over to Rahim.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't, I don't know if it's an upgrade, but I don't think it's much of a downgrade.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say that.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my least favorite thing in the Robert saw the first tenure and second tenure, you know, I go to almost all the games is watching the defense and offense break their huddles and within half of account, I can tell you exactly what the coverage is there is very little diagnosing it is paint by numbers, this is what we're doing and it's just so clear I'm like, oh, well, here we go, they're going to.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: motion their slot across that's going to force our safety now we have our non-covered safety on the back end and the cover three and what do you know here's a tight end up the seam route like it was just like against McVay you just knew exactly what it was and so you do not get that and you have already seen that training camp and joint practices in the preseason game there is movement all over the place and so the easy diagnosing all that stuff that's gone by the wayside I'm excited about that.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, one thing I don't know if we're going to see or not, it's something funny.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: You talk about a couple things in a couple different streams and people are like, you're on a campaign to move this guy or you're on a, no, but I'm looking at the Niners and I'm looking at there's that they're death chart and they're signing just dudes off the street to play defensive end.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they have really good depth at defensive tackle.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm looking at James Thompson the way he's playing.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking, man, this guy's got to be on the team.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: But then I don't know if there's a spot for him.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then what about price and ease?
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he needs to be on the team.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a spot for him?
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: But what about grace and halt?
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he needs to be on the team.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm pretty sure there's going to be a spot for him.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: But what about CJ West?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then you also added oh, so diggy zoo.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then you can still get out for Collins.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I'm looking at this thing going,
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: you just have guys that, you know, nobody's even heard of off the edge and you've got, you know, your eight deep, they just re-signed Evan Anderson.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when they, when they re-signed Evan Anderson, I got to be honest, John, I think my first thought was, I wonder if they're on the verge of trading.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, either CJ West or maybe Alfred Collins, and I, you know, I don't know that Alfred Collins or CJ West fit Reheem though Reheem did say he thought West was just a run plugger and then he realized he has past rush, but he may have just realized that Alfred Collins is not giving you much, and now obviously there was talk about Vita Vega, Vita Vega resigning with Tampa, he will not be coming here.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you that the move that I would love to see the make is offer Alfred Collins to the Titans for, you know, all the day show.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, all the day show is exactly the piece that the 49ers need to have on that defensive front.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: A guy who's a linebacker, but it also can be a past Russia who can make a difference off the edge.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: And they're they're really deep at defensive tackle.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I, you know, I'm not sure they feel about Nick Martin either, but I mean, Bob Sala had both of those guys here.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: How about Nick Martin and Alfred Collins for Oledasio or how about Alfred Collins and a pick for Oledasio?
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Oledasio, he's a linebacker who's a three, four outside linebacker.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's now on a team that runs a four, three, and he didn't start.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's not starting, but he's still got talent.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: You could see it in that game.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: I would try to follow the Niners.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be trying to call board board Gonsi and seeing what it would take to get Oladazio and I'd be offering Alfred Collins to them.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what's crazy is they traded away to Von Dre sweat, right?
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: As soon as solid landed there because this switch to the three four to the four three like you talked about, right?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: What does the guy that started in front of Collins?
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, two years before it was his turn.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, they do need help at defensive tackle.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: They trade it for Germany and Johnson.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: So they do have the excess at defensive end.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: The nighters met with old days, you know, I think like five times in the draft route, like they love that dude.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so I mean, it would work.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the kind of move.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: If I was John Lynch, that's the kind of move I would want to make.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I have defensive tackle depth.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: I can go with East and I can go with Thompson.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: I can go with Halton.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: Valdez has gotten even better.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think this summer.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: and you can move out for columns.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: You can move CJ West if there was a team that was willing to give you you know a piece and you need an edge piece.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think they got to consider all options.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: The other one that's, you know, and I brought it up to Reemorse about a 10 days ago.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what about Leonard Floyd?
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: played with you last year in Atlanta.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: He played with you with the Rams.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you have a role that he fills inside your defense.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, Hey, man, I love Leonard as a player.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: I love Leonard as a person.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: It sounded like he may want some more money than the Niners are willing to throw.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners know what they have or know what he is because they've had him, but I could see I mean if they can't make a Significant trade Why not sign him they need is they need more help outside rush wise?
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: They cut Leonard Floyd two years ago or last year, the Niners paid him to play for Raheem Morris and the Falcons Lashia.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: He was still on the Niners payroll from his first contract, right?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: They let him go, like, so I don't know.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the fact that they cut him, kind of probably hurts the pride a little bit.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, hey, if you want to bring me back, you got to pay now, which they paid on ridiculous amount anyway, man, I look at the defensive in room.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want drastic changes for aging players.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you had another injury, then I'd be like, all right, let's get learn and Floyd in here.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: I just, Leonard Floyd is an in perfect.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: answer solution to like he just gets so many of those late trash kind of sex.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: There's still sex.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: He still does that.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: But man, his tape has just descended.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think for probably about three years in row, but if you sign him and you put him out there, he's still going to get five to six sacks.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to now bring with it lots and lots of negative plays.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean like literally just quitting on plays.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: I remember watching them with the Niners like do literally would just quit if he got blocked.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: like he just would stop, but then other times he'll run down a screen.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like he just takes his play.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not the biggest lender for this point in his career.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in dire straits, which I don't think they're at now, because again, you're getting a lot of those guys back, but it makes a lot of sense.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: I hated the way he left this team.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: I hated the way he played those last few games in the 49ers uniform.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: Still it leaves bad taste in my mouth, but yeah.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: You need help.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's one of the most premium positions in the NFL.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: And right now I'm looking at the roster like if Miguel William stays on the put it is very probable that you keep four defensive ends on the initial 53 man roster like and then you're going to call somebody up whether that's a a con quo or time and KG or you signed somebody else probably that gets cut off another team, but like
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, going back to your question about, you know, all these defensive tech, it would not shock me for them to keep seven defensive tackles on their initial 53 and only four defensive ends.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: Then manipulate the roster post that with elevations from the practice squad, picking up somebody off the 53.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: But I like they always keep 11 defensive linemen.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you know, five DN, 60 ends, vice versa, defensive tackle.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can see seven defensive tackles kept.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: and only four defensive ends when Miguel Williams on pop, which he won't count.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't mind seeing Sebastian Valdez kept us a defensive end.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the way the way his motor is just so great.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't find anybody, I'm going to give you a couple of names of guys that I've got my, that, you know, Dallas just picked up Von Miller.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Dallas doesn't know what they're doing.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's just no doubt.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they they picked up, they picked up quitting Williams and they had Kenny Clark and then they traded also diggy Zua who's been one of the best 49ers all summer to the Niners for a pick.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: Um, a day to pick.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, I thought that was a great move by the 49ers.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now they've signed von Miller because he was the shiny object and, you know, he's vowed that he could get nine sacks.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: They have Sam Williams.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: They have Tyrus Wheat.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: They have Charles Snowden, and they have Marist Loufow from Notre Dame.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're all edge rush guys.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sam Williams, I love to him at Old Man.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's had some knee problems, but I would be looking to see who Dallas cuts.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'd keep my eye on
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really looking at a couple other guys as well.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Caroline has got a defensive end named Thomas Incom.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, really kind of like income.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think he could help Tampa Bay.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: Central Michigan, Central Michigan or West remember, he was a fun take.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's like first that six, two, six, three, two, 60 real good rush.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I like Michael Heldman, who played at University of Minnesota and he's with the Saints.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I like Mo Camara, who played a Colorado state of Tampa right now.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: He was with Miami on their practice.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: What I really don't like Samo.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, he's six one to 60, but he comes flying off the edge.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: He kind of reminds me of of that guy golden.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: He used to play for Arizona.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: Mark is a Marcus Golden.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of my Pokemon reminds me of him.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: I like Javan Solomon from Buffalo.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he could be out there.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love Elijah Ponder who played a cow poly and is now playing for the Patriots and the Patriots have a deep room there.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's some interesting guys, Brandon Swenson, but Elijah Ponder is probably my favorite of that group.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Tyreak sap who played at Florida is with the Browns.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so it's not an endlessly deep list, but those guys kind of stand out to me as the best options out there, um, I mean, they ought to lots you would be amazing if the cults were willing to trade them, but I mean,
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: I guess if I were the 49ers at the Colts call, if the Colts didn't like Anthony Richardson and didn't want to go with Riley Leonard and call the Niners and say, we want Curtis Rork.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm John Lynch, I'll say, hey, I'll give you Curtis Rork, but I'll throw in a draft choice, but I won't lot too.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'd probably cost a second, right?
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, I mean, I Kurdish work a second for sure.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: For sure, maybe, maybe a first.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was a first and he's young.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: But that's, that is a difference making edge.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I'll tell you, I would want Michael Clemens and law to if I could have him, because I really think then 40 letters need a couple guys.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they need one, they need maybe two.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: But the god of take a look, I know it's easy to be a get cross me, get your sweat, get tibido, get high Smith, get lot to, but they got to really get in the bushes there and dig deep with their pro personnel guys and figure out who's looked really good this summer across the league and who's not going to make the team and they're going to have to poach somebody because they'll be good players cut and players that are trying to transition to other teams
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, I mean, they're going to have to do something because their past rush, I think is it's the kind of past rush that could it could rival what they did last year and that would just be a disaster.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: 20 socks last year.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: got to figure something out and I think they're going to be better but still and that's one of the things I want to watch like you know you start looking at the second preseason game which take place tomorrow super pumped about like can somebody in the defensive end spot step up I doubt we'll see key on why does he just started practicing but man can somebody else
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: solidify and show.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: We know what Samo is.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: I love Samo.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: Samo is a number four, number five defensive end at best.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: He started majority of the season last year, but like you know what he is, can Ramello height continue to ascend.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: Very, very slow start, but man.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: He was being those tackles he gets the chargers and the joint practice pretty consistent.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like he was showing the burst, can that continue?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: Can you get pressure from up the middle?
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: Is there going to be some blitzing off the edge?
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Those things.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I want to see.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I want to see.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, let's do this.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to put ourselves in the corner.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody puts us in the corner.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: And we will do our prize picks line up right here.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll put that on the screen and then move this over right here.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: different little backdrop up there.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that, it's a beautiful, that is, prize picks, all right, we are brought to you by prize picks.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Crucial listeners, pricepicks is a brand new offer.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: They have the number one sportspicks app, it's incredibly easy.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: You just pick more or less on player stats.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Look, lock in your lineup and you're good to go.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you'd rather pick teams, you can do that now too.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Pick the winner, the spread or the total of your favorite games and fights.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: Here is the brand new offer.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: New users who play their $5 lineup, their first $5 lineup, we'll get 150 bucks in bonus lineup.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: If that first lineup wins.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: So if you win your first line, if you're getting 153 bucks, all right, let's take a look at some of these season totals, um, you know, first thought is less on puking to kua eights receiving touchdowns, that one stands.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think a deck in 4,000, like more or less, I like more, I like the problem, probably there's just they throw the ball, man.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just what they're going to do.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: I also think less on be John because I think he's going to be, you know, this is what happens when you have bad teams.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard that Atlanta may try to tank for arch and, you know, Atlanta's.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: They've got quarterback issues, is it too, I mean, they just don't look very good.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then, Bijon's all gonna fall down on Bijon and everybody every week is gonna be we just need to take away Bijon.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: Take away Bijon, take away Bijon.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's gonna really have that game plan.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think that he either gets beat up or gets hurt or just is ineffective.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: 1150.5 rush yards, I'll go less because I think they're gonna pass a lot.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're gonna lose a lot.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: and I think he's going to get beat up.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: Bad football is painful football.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm going to go, what else?
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: What else?
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm going to go with Will Anderson more than 11.7 sacks.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: So basically he just got that 12.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: 11 11 11 12 sacks goes over.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a big number, but Will Anderson is tremendous.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that guy looks like he's going to get a three sacks
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see when it takes a second.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: And now a viewer line up.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: So we got a four-pick power play.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: $5 pays 50.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to puking to cool less than eight receiving touchdowns.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: Dak Prescott Moore.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Then 4,024 pass yards, B. John Robinson, less than 1150 rush yards.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: And Willie Anderson more than 11.7 so he needs 12.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: So winner winner, if we hit it, we're big winners.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to prize picks, $5 pays us $50.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now we'll move Johnny and I back up there and move that out of the way.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: One other thought before we move on, thank you to West Coast easels.

- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a crude show fan, so check that out.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: Also, thank you to Nevada Chevrolet.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: Go see Adam Rogers.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's the best sales guy there is.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: He'll take
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: and tell them that Kirk sent you, when I buy a Chevrolet, I buy it from Nevada Chevrolet, and their website is the best way to connect with them.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: Nevada Chevrolet.com on the web.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right, a couple things.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: What are you looking forward to seeing tomorrow night during Niners Chargers?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want to see tomorrow night?
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of what we're going to see, the regular is including Brock Perti.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: How much exactly is the card to say?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think the person that has the most to gain and could probably make the largest impact for the 49ers is rookie number 74, Carver Willis.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was probably one of the word not Carver Willis but Robert Jones I thought was got awful like I was like man this guy might retire it was so bad.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: The first preseason game.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: They moved him to right card and now he's like bouncing all like can Carver will a step up and give something to see in past protection.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: Carver will is run blocking and credible.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: A plus, yeah, like a 90 something great from PFF.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: Can the past pro, can he learn to anchor?
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Can he stop getting off balance?
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so can you show something?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: Some type of development there in Paspro because right now you just can't play him.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: I understand he's great in the run game, but they need somebody.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: Now Connor Colby.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, two major misapps.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: The rest of the tape was relatively good.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Connor Colby's the leader in the clubhouse right now.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Can he eliminate some of those huge just snafos where he just doesn't pick up the stunt?
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't redirect and let's a free blitz or come through the B-Gap or A-Gap.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: Can't do that.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: So the left guard spot is huge, but Carver Willis, I think, has the most to prove that would bring the most upside to helping the 49ers.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: You haven't had a guard, especially a left guard that can run block, like Carver Willis can, in a while.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a minute.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so can he step up and seize that role?
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I'll go with the rookies on the defensive side, can Jayden Doughert continue to show, you know, that he's got these instincts.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite defense of play,
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: Last week was Jayden to you see 53 out there lined up.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: He calls the puller.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: He calls the guard the uncover guard he goes He's pulling his pull and he's pulling and he calls it.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: They snap the ball he pulls and it was just like dude the lights are on And we never saw deep winners do that.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it seemed Nick Martin do that for sure, but it was just like holy cow
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: this guy's calling now pulling lineman like before the snap can the awareness and football like you continue to show they're even played perfect but Danny played well and so that battle between Nick Martin you know the sophomore player and Jayden Dugger for that Sam fever back or whatever you want to call it that is a battle I'm pumped 45 53 I want to see that battle go all night
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I want to see the Niners show that they can put some heat on Herbert and cover their receivers, you know, I want to see the Niners cover, Niners safety is I want to see them cover, Niners corners, I want to see them make plays on the ball, I want to see better pass rush.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I'd like to see more team speed and a little bit more, you know, secure tackling, you know, last week, Tai J Spears had a couple runs where he was curalled, but nobody wrapped and then all of a sudden he's still running and, you know, happened.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: more times than I wanted to see it happen at least a couple times.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see better tackling.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see them wrap at the ball.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to see Larry Worth who I thought was terrific last week.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: He had a sack.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: He was flying.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: He had a couple plays in practice this week where he's covering the tight end and he's just snuffing out the tight end like a candle.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: This is a charger team that has a really good tight end.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Aronde Gatson is a good tight end who's very fast,
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: and worth and Dougher and Martin.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see those three guys fly around and make plays.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it man shoot shout out to Larry Worth play 13 plays.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of the highest impact players.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a small sample size I think a lot of those guys.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: You'll see a lot more reps when you get to the third preseason game I would like to see Larry Worth get about 20 snaps this game then probably about 30 snaps in that third preseason game But yeah, I can't can he show he belongs.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's passed every test.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Larry Worth is a guy.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: Was it a traffic?
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: right came in showedy belong they kicked another safety off the team and he just keeps the Cindy and so man like the the meritocracy and the message that that brings to the locker room when you see 47 lay with the third a sin the depth chart is do no spot is safe you're better freaking earn it like that is so healthy for the atmosphere of you got to go out there and play and he is demanding more playing time I hope they give it to him this game because
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: Man, a sky's limit.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about covering man.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's a safety.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: Almost all linebackers are converted safety nowadays, but Yeah, at 47's worth the price of admission.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's fun man.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: If for guys like us Larry that fall in love with these back into the roster like guys The pre-season so badass like I love these games because this is the last time we get to see some of them
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, it's just, I'm pumped, man.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's Super Bowl Sunday for these guys, you know, it's Super Bowl Sunday.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you know, this is the biggest moment of their life.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a quick thought on work versus Mac Jones.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we're going to see work.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't sound like it.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to see party.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to see Mac Jones, most likely we'll see Adrian Martinez.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: Work looked really good.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: I expected him to look good.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the question is, what do you do about it?
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Do you keep three quarterbacks?
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: Do you keep two and keep him and trade Mac?
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: Do you keep two and trade him?
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's this big question of, like, how does the NFL,
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: you, Mac Jones is value versus Curtis Works value.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you think would cost more to acquire Curtis Rock or Mac Jones?
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'll Mac Jones bias substantial amount.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue Mac Jones is the best backup quarterback in the NFL.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the thing, you talk about, like, without you, because one guy has got a rookie contract and you own him contractually for a few years, the other guy's a free agent at the end of the year, and you're going to have to pay him, if you want to, you're probably a pretty good king's ransom.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: So there's, you have, like, more control overwork into the future.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so do you think that he can take that step up?
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the NFL value shed a hand quarter backs and running backs, like nobody's business.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you are a quarterback or running back,
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: for Kyle Shattahan, your future, you're going to be just fine.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Trace Sermon is still out in the NFL somehow.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that is still, I think you went on IR today, actually.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even shout out there, I believe.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: Corey Kiner said, like, dude, if you play for Kyle Shattahan, quarterback, Nick Mullin's still out there.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I would argue to get those quarterbacks.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: away from the 49ers roster, it probably cost a high end second to get back Jones probably cost a high end fifth to get Curtis work, maybe a six, but I think you keep three because Curtis work, it is very first game back from almost two year and a half.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: Man, he looked good.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's still holding on the ball too long, not making the reads as fast as you want, but you see it.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: the light is on, the accuracy is on, the athleticism was way better than, you know, what we saw play with the, you know, A played at the end of the playoffs with that torrent ACL just freaking.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: warrior, but he was a statue.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's so it's nice to see some of the athleticism return.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's confusing him with Adrian Martinez number four who is an actual athlete.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say Curtis work has more to gain to, you know, tomorrow, even though he's not playing.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: If Adrian Martinez goes out there and doesn't like the game up,
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: Curtis work.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like, all right.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is kind of decided to quarter back three spot.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: But Adrian Martinez has been in the system for a couple years now and he's put up some good quality tape as well.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I obviously max worth way more even though you'd have to pay him.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think they keep three Larry.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really do.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: This was the whole plan when you drafted him in the seventh round knowing he needed to have ACL surgery.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: Why abandoned that now because he's
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I'm going to say I would trade work.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: I would trade work.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I like Mac and I what would you take?
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: What's the price at pick?
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Pick one.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: He fits it in.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: I need a defensive end.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: I train him to the colds for Michael Clemens and a Dion Berks or something like that.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'd want to I'd want something like that.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: Let's hit our supers and they will call it right here.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're not all supers.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: Chug if crooks is okoronquo.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: What up?
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: What up, crooks.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: See row down the hatch.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: Big T says Larry's turning into gloom and doom channel.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, bro.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to deliver straight no matter what all of says all of says any chance you do New York.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, no, we did that last year and had a great time, but it just doesn't work that weekend for me.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: So we will.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's close to the holiday.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: 12 57s has just moved to Atlanta for a new job looking to go to a nine or Atlanta game on my birthday 10 25 pricing out club seats.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: Any tips on getting the best price on tickets in y'all's experience by early or wait a bit.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's probably one of the other.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you're, if you're out there already, I think I would probably see how the season goes for the Falcons because if not a lot of supply and demand in the Falcons are bad, you might be able to get tickets pretty reasonably.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, I would play, I think I would wait on that one, just see how that goes.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: I believe in waiting, unless it's a prime time holiday game, prices tend to drop.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've done that gotten into the Super Bowl.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: I've done that gotten into NFC championship and saved a lot of money.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: I believe in waiting.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you want club access and into, you know, all the fancy, whatever, that's a little bit different story, but man, I want to be at the 50 yard line top, like top section, drink
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: Tyler says, biggest offseason angles, Olin, Lack's depth and starters, K-Lun Black over Washington, Jr. was a reach and no easy veteran ads, IE, Von Miller, Zitler.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: I like Washington too.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's had a really impressive preseason with the Raiders.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: They were totally different type players.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: I trust, more than I trust Washington.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sunday says, hey, Lair, for boomers sake, please stop announcing the jewels next.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: Just say the names of the person and say thanks to the jewels, Gotcha, OK.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot of 700 joules for something weird Larry's going to read that throws off the show's tempo and makes him look 90.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_00]: That is good.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: Tea.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the jewels.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, perfect, man.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: That was impressive.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: Big-toned, cow posey thought that Lenore was to blame along with 27, where they getting birds or there's just constant communication busts.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the speed of Brendan Thompson and the charger receivers with no past rush just overwhelm the nine or safeties.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: The nine are needing a past rush and they probably could use slower receivers.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: They're not creating against the speed.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: That is going to do it for us.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to John.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to all of you.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to our sponsors.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny, have a great night.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: Go Niners.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: Big game tomorrow.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back streaming talking about it in the future.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: And of course we love we love everybody.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for thanks for jumping in tonight on the crude show.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny, always great to see you.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do it again.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: Peace.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: Peace to everybody.
