- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on The Voice of New York, it's the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on.
- 0:07Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Well, it's not just any Monday. It's the final day
- 0:14Speaker 3: of summer, final full day of summer. Autumn begins tomorrow night,
- 0:18Speaker 3: 8 o'clock. Now, also, this is the beginning of the
- 0:22Speaker 3: week of traffic hell. It's going to be gridlock everywhere.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Manhattan is going to be a mess because of the
- 0:28Speaker 3: UN General Assembly. This is the week where all the
- 0:30Speaker 3: world leaders come. This UN General Assembly, it's actually about
- 0:34Speaker 3: three weeks, but this is the week with all the
- 0:36Speaker 3: world leaders. President Trump will be coming to New York
- 0:39Speaker 3: about four o'clock today. And again, traffic nightmare everywhere. It's
- 0:45Speaker 3: a holiday. It's Yom Kippur, so that would mean less
- 0:48Speaker 3: traffic anyway. It's a Monday. which is the day most
- 0:52Speaker 3: people don't go into the office. So it's a slow
- 0:54Speaker 3: traffic day anyway, but it's going to be bad today.
- 0:57Speaker 3: And then tomorrow, the rest of the week could be brutal.
- 1:00Speaker 3: So work from home. Stay out of Manhattan if you're driving.
- 1:03Speaker 3: It's going to be a mess everywhere. A lot of
- 1:05Speaker 3: street closures. It's not just around the UN. It's all
- 1:07Speaker 3: over town because these world leaders stay at all the
- 1:10Speaker 3: different hotels all over town. President Trump has a meeting
- 1:15Speaker 3: with Zoran Mamdani at Gracie Mansion. The president's scheduled to
- 1:19Speaker 3: be there. at 4.10. I don't know why 4.10, but
- 1:24Speaker 3: that's the schedule. And the meeting will be about an hour.
- 1:28Speaker 3: They're going to talk about all sorts of New York stuff.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It's strictly about New York and New York City and
- 1:34Speaker 3: all of that. Mamdani wants $ 16 billion for housing, wants
- 1:38Speaker 3: to build housing. Can you imagine the government? Mamdani. Can
- 1:43Speaker 3: you imagine New York building housing? That's why it's $ 16 billion. Now,
- 1:47Speaker 3: Trump's a little busy right now, but He should say
- 1:50Speaker 3: to him, let me build the housing. It'll be $ 1 billion,
- 1:54Speaker 3: not $ 16 billion. $ 1 billion would be the real cost.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And remember, the Trump family built more low-income housing than
- 2:02Speaker 3: just about anybody in the world. That's what they did
- 2:04Speaker 3: for many, many decades. That's what Fred Trump did. Low-income housing, Brooklyn, Queens.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Let the president do it. Let his company do it. Again,
- 2:12Speaker 3: it'll be $ 1 billion, not $ 16 billion. It's a lot
- 2:15Speaker 3: of money to waste, especially when it's coming out of
- 2:18Speaker 3: people's paychecks, taxpayers' paychecks. So he meets with Mamdani at 4.10.
- 2:23Speaker 3: He is then scheduled to meet with French President Macron
- 2:29Speaker 3: at 5.30. That'll be a quick meeting because then 6 o'clock,
- 2:36Speaker 3: there's an RNC donor reception. This is for big donors.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Tickets for this start at $ 150, 000 and up. So small
- 2:46Speaker 3: little meet and greet with the president. Then he goes
- 2:48Speaker 3: to the, there's a pack called MAGA Inc. Then he
- 2:52Speaker 3: goes to their big, big gala dinner. That's tonight about 7, 730.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So tight schedule for the president. He's expected to stay
- 3:00Speaker 3: in New York City tonight. Trump Tower, which means a
- 3:05Speaker 3: lot of traffic congestion around there. A lot of streets
- 3:08Speaker 3: will be closed up. And then tomorrow he's got a
- 3:13Speaker 3: couple of meetings. He's expected to meet with Zelensky at
- 3:17Speaker 3: some point, probably tomorrow. He'll meet with Zelensky. He wants
- 3:20Speaker 3: to talk to him about a couple of things. One
- 3:22Speaker 3: is ending what he now calls this stupid war. As
- 3:28Speaker 3: you know, oil prices were going crazy, although not today.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Oil is dropping. If you're a Democrat, cover your ears.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Oil is down now, way below 100. It's down to 97.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It's dropped a lot. It's dropped about 10 points in
- 3:43Speaker 3: the last week. Okay, Democrats, you can uncover your ears.
- 3:47Speaker 3: So one of the reasons that the oil has been
- 3:50Speaker 3: going crazy, it's not just Iran, the diesel prices are
- 3:53Speaker 3: what's killing a lot of people. Diesel fuel prices, that
- 3:56Speaker 3: is caused strictly by Ukraine and Russia, the Ukraine-Russia war.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Ukraine started bombing Russia's diesel factories, diesel facilities, knocking out
- 4:08Speaker 3: a lot of their diesel production. So that's what drove
- 4:10Speaker 3: the price of that up. So he's going to talk
- 4:13Speaker 3: to Zelensky. They've already talked on the phone about it,
- 4:15Speaker 3: but they're going to talk in person about it. Stop
- 4:17Speaker 3: hitting Russian oil infrastructure. It's causing the price to spike.
- 4:22Speaker 3: He's also said he's calling for an end to this
- 4:24Speaker 3: ridiculous war. So who knows? Who knows? Maybe they'll get
- 4:28Speaker 3: something settled here. You know, he also made this agreement
- 4:32Speaker 3: to get total control of Greenland. Denmark will still be
- 4:37Speaker 3: the owner of Greenland, but we'll control it. We'll do
- 4:39Speaker 3: the security. It's a pretty good agreement, although it's very
- 4:44Speaker 3: similar to the agreement we already had. But this will
- 4:47Speaker 3: make it permanent. And this is going to be signed
- 4:50Speaker 3: this week here in New York. All the leaders, Denmark, Trump,
- 4:55Speaker 3: everybody will be here. So they'll get this signed and
- 4:57Speaker 3: done this week. Now, the story that broke Friday afternoon is,
- 5:08Speaker 3: Shook up a lot of people. The president wants to
- 5:10Speaker 3: ban MSNBC, CNN, and Politico from the White House. Now,
- 5:18Speaker 3: it sounds crazy. It's not as crazy as it sounds, though.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Other presidents have tried this. Obama tried it. Biden tried it.
- 5:27Speaker 3: It's not that unusual. It happens a lot. A reporter
- 5:31Speaker 3: showed up. He said Friday he was going to ban them. Well,
- 5:35Speaker 3: one of them showed up. Saturday, they got a badge.
- 5:38Speaker 3: You used to get in, you put your badge up
- 5:40Speaker 3: to the the card reader and it lets you in.
- 5:43Speaker 4: And then once I got inside to an area where
- 5:45Speaker 4: we place our bags and we ourselves go through magnetometers,
- 5:50Speaker 4: I went to scan my badge and enter my pin
- 5:52Speaker 4: number and the lights around the reader blinked red.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I tried it again.
- 5:56Speaker 4: And then the officer asked me to hand over my
- 6:00Speaker 4: badge and he said that it's been disabled. And I asked,
- 6:03Speaker 4: can you tell me why? And he simply said, it's
- 6:06Speaker 4: above his head.
- 6:09Speaker 3: She's banned. Now, they've all gone to court. The trials
- 6:13Speaker 3: will begin today. The court hearings will begin today. It's MSNOW, CNN,
- 6:19Speaker 3: Politico will go to court. They'll sue the president. Now,
- 6:24Speaker 3: you could hear all these constitutional experts argue that he
- 6:28Speaker 3: can't ban the media. He can't ban news media. Well,
- 6:31Speaker 3: that's very debatable. He did ban AP a long time ago,
- 6:36Speaker 3: and they've been in court. And that's been in court
- 6:37Speaker 3: for a couple of years. AP can't seem to win
- 6:39Speaker 3: that case. The problem if they go to court is,
- 6:44Speaker 3: let's say it's MSNBC. If they go to court, the
- 6:48Speaker 3: president could prove in court that they've been broadcasting all
- 6:51Speaker 3: kinds of fake news. You can list it all. Here's
- 6:57Speaker 3: a list of like 40,000 examples of fake news that
- 7:00Speaker 3: they have broadcast. You could also argue, and they can
- 7:04Speaker 3: bring these all up and put them on the court record,
- 7:06Speaker 3: all these things. Some of them they've had to pay
- 7:09Speaker 3: massive fines for broadcasting, just total false fake information. And
- 7:14Speaker 3: it goes back for years. The Russia hoax was a
- 7:17Speaker 3: great example. Uh, denying the laptop was Hunter Biden's kids
- 7:20Speaker 3: in cages. That was all made up. That was actually
- 7:23Speaker 3: Obama and Biden to put them in cages. Uh, Charlottesville
- 7:27Speaker 3: is one of the great hoaxes of all time. He
- 7:29Speaker 3: told people to drink bleach. It never happened. It never happened. Um,
- 7:34Speaker 3: it's a long, long list. Uh, posed for pictures at
- 7:38Speaker 3: Arlington Cemetery. No president has ever done that. Well, it
- 7:42Speaker 3: took about a minute and a half to find pictures
- 7:45Speaker 3: of every president posing for pictures in Arlington Cemetery. January 6th, why,
- 7:51Speaker 3: he just sat there watching TV all day. Absolutely false.
- 7:56Speaker 3: In fact, 24 minutes into the January 6th incident, the
- 8:02Speaker 3: president was already tweeting the protesters to go home. 24 minutes,
- 8:06Speaker 3: he responded. Nick Sandman, remember Nick Sandman? That was the
- 8:10Speaker 3: kid with the Native American rightness. Remember that told, they
- 8:15Speaker 3: made up a whole fake story, doctored up the pictures.
- 8:19Speaker 3: CNN had to pay an $ 80 million settlement to Nick Sandman.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So you could go through all these examples, all these
- 8:26Speaker 3: examples of, here's another one. Rachel, there's a great video
- 8:30Speaker 3: of Rachel Maddow saying, President Trump never encouraged Americans to
- 8:34Speaker 3: get vaccinated. The video is cut together with thousands and
- 8:37Speaker 3: thousands of times he urged people to get vaccinated. Also
- 8:41Speaker 3: with the video of him getting vaccinated on camera, telling
- 8:44Speaker 3: people that they just make up stuff. There's another one,
- 8:48Speaker 3: Rachel Maddow. President Bush never did one interview with the
- 8:50Speaker 3: New York Times. He did many with the New York Times.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Just a great example. Mitt Romney was running. Remember when
- 8:57Speaker 3: Andrea Mitchell doctored a video to make it look like
- 9:01Speaker 3: Romney had never seen an iPad and didn't know what
- 9:03Speaker 3: it was? It was totally false. It was actually a video.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Luckily Romney's people video did video of the same speech.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And then you could see the real one. He's holding
- 9:14Speaker 3: it up and showing it to kids and explaining how
- 9:16Speaker 3: the iPad works, but she doctored it up and make
- 9:18Speaker 3: it sound like he'd never seen one before. So you
- 9:22Speaker 3: could make this case in court that they are fake news.
- 9:24Speaker 3: You could also make the case that they don't report deliberately.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Don't report half the news, the positive stories they leave out.
- 9:32Speaker 3: If you listen to this program, you heard the story
- 9:34Speaker 3: last week that, uh, The numbers came out. Income for
- 9:38Speaker 3: Americans is at an all-time high. Poverty level, the poverty
- 9:42Speaker 3: rate is at the lowest ever in history right now.
- 9:46Speaker 3: It was a good example of a story they'll never, ever,
- 9:48Speaker 3: ever report. So in a courtroom, they could have a problem.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So Trump could win this case. It'll end up going
- 9:55Speaker 3: to the Supreme Court when it's brought in D.C. in
- 10:00Speaker 3: front of these crazy left-wing Democrat judges, the president has
- 10:03Speaker 3: a problem. But when it gets to the Supreme Court,
- 10:06Speaker 3: it could get interesting. Now, the problem with banning the media,
- 10:10Speaker 3: if you do that, then the Democrats have every right
- 10:12Speaker 3: to do that when they get in. They've tried it before. Obama...
- 10:16Speaker 3: He glosses over this. Obama's been speaking out on this
- 10:19Speaker 3: for the last couple of days, ignoring the fact that
- 10:22Speaker 3: he tried to ban Fox News. If you go to
- 10:25Speaker 3: my Twitter, you can see all the video of this,
- 10:27Speaker 3: of the Democrats calling for the ban of Fox News
- 10:30Speaker 3: from the White House. This one great video of George
- 10:33Speaker 3: Stephanopoulos and David Axelrod, two Democratic operatives, arguing the case
- 10:37Speaker 3: to ban Fox News. Obama did ban some reporters. And also, hey,
- 10:45Speaker 3: Obama did something worse. Remember, he had surveillance done on
- 10:48Speaker 3: the reporters, went into their phones and their Internet accounts
- 10:53Speaker 3: and took everything. His Justice Department, Eric Holder, did that.
- 10:57Speaker 3: So there's another way to ban the reporters. Just don't
- 11:00Speaker 3: talk to them ever again. That was the Biden ban.
- 11:03Speaker 3: He just didn't. Biden wouldn't talk to the press ever.
- 11:06Speaker 5: He went a year and a half without having a
- 11:08Speaker 5: press conference, a year and a half. And what was
- 11:12Speaker 5: the question you asked him most? What is your favorite
- 11:16Speaker 5: flavored ice cream? Okay. I think you asked him that
- 11:19Speaker 5: question once. What ice cream do you like the best?
- 11:22Speaker 5: I mean, I heard that question so many times. And
- 11:25Speaker 5: he always say vanilla.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Well, the president may be wrong there. I think he
- 11:32Speaker 3: said chocolate chip a couple of times. I think he
- 11:35Speaker 3: said mint chip once. It was always a typical Biden.
- 11:37Speaker 3: It was a different answer every time. But you can
- 11:40Speaker 3: ban the press. It's in effect. We'll see how long
- 11:42Speaker 3: this lasts.
- 11:43Speaker 5: ABC Fake News gave me $ 16 million that was agreed to.
- 11:48Speaker 5: $ 16 million that I won from ABC News because George
- 11:52Speaker 5: Slopidopoulos wrote incorrect stuff. CBS gave me $ 38 million because
- 11:59Speaker 5: they broadcast Kamala Harris on 60 Minutes and the question
- 12:04Speaker 5: borrowed no relationship to what she said. You saw that.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, they doctored up that interview. They asked her about Israel,
- 12:10Speaker 3: and she couldn't answer. She gave some fumbling, bumbling answers.
- 12:13Speaker 3: So they cut a good answer from another part of
- 12:16Speaker 3: the interview into that, made it look like that was
- 12:18Speaker 3: her answer. And Trump has won a lot of money.
- 12:21Speaker 3: He's up to about $ 100 million that he's gotten from
- 12:23Speaker 3: these fake news organizations that they were forced to pay
- 12:25Speaker 3: him because they couldn't go to court. They couldn't let
- 12:29Speaker 3: all this come out in a courtroom on the record.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But it'll be interesting to see how long this lasts.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I don't want him in my office. I don't want
- 12:36Speaker 5: him here. I would say the band would go as
- 12:39Speaker 5: far as you can. And if they could straighten themselves out,
- 12:42Speaker 5: you know, if you, if they could send themselves out,
- 12:44Speaker 5: I'd love it. Look, uh, they're very dishonest people. They
- 12:48Speaker 5: write in a very dishonest way.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Now, uh, Biden banned, I think 44 reporters from the
- 12:56Speaker 3: white house. They'll argue if you're watching a fake news,
- 12:59Speaker 3: they'll argue though. They weren't banned. They just simply didn't
- 13:01Speaker 3: reapply for their credentials.
- 13:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 3: They were taken away and reapply. They didn't think it
- 13:05Speaker 3: was going to succeed. So, hey, the big news last night,
- 13:09Speaker 3: Patrick Clancy, husband of Lindsay Clancy, on 60 Minutes, it
- 13:15Speaker 3: was quite dramatic. It was quite moving. I don't know
- 13:18Speaker 3: if I believe a word this guy says. I don't know.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Do you believe anything he says? He was pretty dramatic.
- 13:25Speaker 8: And I think when it comes to forgiveness, I also
- 13:28Speaker 8: felt that if I didn't get there, I would be
- 13:33Speaker 8: eaten up inside.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, right.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I don't know, if your wife kills your three children,
- 13:38Speaker 3: that's a lot to forgive.
- 13:39Speaker 8: I asked her if she remembered it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And what did she say?
- 13:43Speaker 8: She said it was like a dream. And she remembered
- 13:48Speaker 8: it much in the way you would remember a dream
- 13:51Speaker 8: after waking up.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm not buying any of this. I'm
- 13:54Speaker 3: with that lone juror.
- 13:55Speaker 8: I think I did the best I could with what
- 13:58Speaker 8: I had at the time. And I live with the outcome.
- 14:03Speaker 8: I live with it every day.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I don't know. He said, I think I was as
- 14:10Speaker 3: good a father as I could be. If your three
- 14:11Speaker 3: kids are murdered by your wife, I don't think you're
- 14:14Speaker 3: the best father in the world. It's a little hard
- 14:16Speaker 3: to claim that now.
- 14:16Speaker 8: I remember that night, I really thought there was a
- 14:21Speaker 8: chance that Callan would live. And I remember just thinking,
- 14:24Speaker 8: just give me one.
- 14:26Speaker 3: One child did go four days before he died. So
- 14:29Speaker 3: that's what he's talking about.
- 14:30Speaker 8: Give me one kid and I would raise him as
- 14:33Speaker 8: best I could. And I would give him the best
- 14:35Speaker 8: life I possibly could. And I tell him about his
- 14:37Speaker 8: brother and sister. And I was holding out hope for that.
- 14:43Speaker 8: And then when I got to the hospital, I saw
- 14:45Speaker 8: the doctor. I saw the look on her face. And
- 14:47Speaker 8: I knew that it wasn't going to be a good prognosis.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it was quite powerful, this interview. But I'm not
- 14:54Speaker 3: buying any of it.
- 14:55Speaker 8: I'm so grateful for those four days that I had
- 14:57Speaker 8: with him. And I'm so grateful he hung on. Did
- 15:05Speaker 8: you talk to him in those four days?
- 15:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 8: Can you tell me anything you said?
- 15:11Speaker 7: I said, I'm so sorry. And I got to hold him.
- 15:22Speaker 7: I got to lay down next to him. And he
- 15:26Speaker 7: died in my arms.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Well, obviously, it's very moving. It's very powerful. Very, very dramatic.
- 15:36Speaker 3: But I'm not buying any of it from this guy.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't trust this guy at all.
- 15:40Speaker 3: He was there at the time of the... I don't know.
- 15:42Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Anyway, we've got a lot to get to this morning. It's, again,
- 15:47Speaker 3: UN General Assembly Nightmare Traffic Week, so just beware of that.
- 15:53Speaker 3: The president will get back to his visit with Mamdani later.
- 15:57Speaker 3: You know, they talk a lot. They talk on the
- 15:59Speaker 3: phone regularly. This will be his third in-person meeting. He
- 16:04Speaker 3: met with him once when he was the mayor-elect, and
- 16:06Speaker 3: then as mayor, remember, Mamdani went to the White House.
- 16:10Speaker 3: But they both have admitted they do regularly call each other.
- 16:14Speaker 3: They talk on the phone now and then. President Trump,
- 16:17Speaker 3: that's his thing. He talks to anybody. He could be
- 16:20Speaker 3: the leader of Iran, the most evil enemy. He'll talk
- 16:23Speaker 3: to you. In fact, there's a slight chance he might
- 16:26Speaker 3: meet with the Iranian leaders this week. Anyway, we'll get
- 16:29Speaker 3: to all of that coming up. It's Mark Simone. Three
- 16:31Speaker 3: hours every day now, 9 to noon. We start at 9.
- 16:34Speaker 3: 9 to noon here on 710WOR.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show. Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I'm so grateful.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Well, hey, it's Monday. Final full day of summer. Autumn
- 16:53Speaker 3: officially begins tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. That was some summer. uh, between, uh,
- 17:01Speaker 3: wildfire smoke and, uh, ridiculous heat waves. And, uh, but
- 17:05Speaker 3: it's over. It's finally over. It was pretty good the last,
- 17:08Speaker 3: the last few weeks. Hey, that, uh, crazy, awful, uh,
- 17:11Speaker 3: evil Macklemore and now donating a million dollars to groups
- 17:17Speaker 3: with Hamas ties. Uh, I don't know. This whole thing is,
- 17:22Speaker 3: it's one of those moments where you need, uh, a
- 17:23Speaker 3: real Democrat like Bill Maher to speak out about Macklemore.
- 17:26Speaker 10: I think Macklemore spoke for all clueless celebrities when he said,
- 17:30Speaker 10: I know enough to know this is a genocide.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Actually, you don't know s * * t.
- 17:35Speaker 3: It's not.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It's not a genocide.
- 17:38Speaker 10: It's a counterattack in a war, a war that's been
- 17:41Speaker 10: waged on Israel since 1948, based on the ridiculous premise
- 17:45Speaker 10: that Jews don't belong in the one place on earth.
- 17:48Speaker 10: They are indigenous and indisputably their ancestral homeland.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Hey, geniuses, they're the Indians in this scenario.
- 17:55Speaker 3: That's a very good point.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Excellent.
- 18:00Speaker 3: But yeah, let's start calling them the indigenous people. The Israelis,
- 18:04Speaker 3: the indigenous people. You're not allowed to attack indigenous people.
- 18:08Speaker 3: But Ed Sheeran, well, we'll get to him later. He's
- 18:12Speaker 3: just like a, I don't know, he's just making a
- 18:15Speaker 3: fool out of himself. You know, he's a nice guy.
- 18:16Speaker 3: He's a really nice guy, Ed Sheeran, who doesn't know
- 18:19Speaker 3: a damn thing about Israel, Hamas. He doesn't know anything
- 18:22Speaker 3: about any of this. He's trying to play along with this,
- 18:25Speaker 3: trying to make the best of it, trying to appease everybody.
- 18:29Speaker 3: And in the process, offending everybody in sight. You should
- 18:32Speaker 3: hear how he opened it. Well, we'll get to that.
- 18:34Speaker 3: We'll play it coming up. How he actually opened his show. Hey,
- 18:37Speaker 3: speaking of fake news, you watch these Sunday shows? They
- 18:42Speaker 3: just fake everything. Just the choice of guests is absolutely ridiculous.
- 18:47Speaker 3: They pick every crazy left wing. You know, Adam Schiff
- 18:51Speaker 3: and Ro Khanna have no business being interviewed anywhere by anybody.
- 18:55Speaker 3: They've been caught lying 500 times. That alone should disqualify
- 18:59Speaker 3: them from being guests on Sunday shows. But they were
- 19:02Speaker 3: talking about AI. And who did they get? J.B. Pritzker.
- 19:07Speaker 3: He's that big, fat Ralph Cramden slob from Chicago, Illinois,
- 19:12Speaker 3: the governor of Illinois. There's nobody on Earth, nobody on
- 19:17Speaker 3: Earth knows less about AI than this guy. He's going
- 19:20Speaker 3: to bash Trump. He's going to call Trump names. So
- 19:22Speaker 3: they bring him in to be the guest.
- 19:24Speaker 10: They are okay with just letting it, you know, run
- 19:28Speaker 10: rampant and let the leaders of it.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Self-govern and self-regulate.
- 19:33Speaker 9: And I think that's a mistake.
- 19:36Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Trump is not talking about having it run rampant. In fact,
- 19:40Speaker 3: he set up an AI commission. He set up and
- 19:43Speaker 3: he's even appointed an AI czar. It's pretty good jobs
- 19:49Speaker 3: to have. because the AI industry has trillions, literally trillions
- 19:54Speaker 3: they're throwing around. That's why all these Congress people are
- 19:57Speaker 3: playing along with this scheme about, they have to be regulated.
- 20:01Speaker 3: The AI industry just formed two super PACs with 40
- 20:06Speaker 3: million in them And these super PACs have been handing
- 20:10Speaker 3: out money to people in Washington, to people in Congress.
- 20:14Speaker 3: That's why they're all going along with this. They've just
- 20:16Speaker 3: received $ 40 million from these two PACs, and there's more coming.
- 20:24Speaker 3: It'll total $ 400 million at some point. You can buy
- 20:28Speaker 3: a lot of politicians in Washington, D.C. You know, not
- 20:33Speaker 3: only does autumn begin tomorrow night, but it's practically Columbus Day.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I know it's hard to believe, but it's practically Columbus Day.
- 20:41Speaker 3: The Columbus Day parade is coming up. It's put on
- 20:44Speaker 3: by the Columbus Club, the beautiful private club on 69th
- 20:49Speaker 3: between 5th and Madison. It's a beautiful club. The best
- 20:52Speaker 3: pizza in New York. They won't let Dave Portnoy in
- 20:54Speaker 3: to test it, but it is. And the current president
- 20:58Speaker 3: of the Columbus Club, Christopher Loiacano, has invited... Mayor Mamdani
- 21:05Speaker 3: to march in the parade. This is enraging a lot
- 21:08Speaker 3: of people. A lot of people upset about this. They
- 21:11Speaker 3: don't want Mamdani in their parade, especially since he's the
- 21:14Speaker 3: guy that kept pushing to tear down the statue of
- 21:16Speaker 3: Christopher Columbus. That's why it's the Columbus Club. Now, while
- 21:23Speaker 3: everybody's outraged that he was invited to be in the parade,
- 21:26Speaker 3: most people think he will not show up. He will
- 21:29Speaker 3: not be in the parade because, first of all, It's
- 21:31Speaker 3: the Columbus Day Parade. It's all Italians lining the streets.
- 21:34Speaker 3: They're going to boo him like crazy. And he knows that.
- 21:38Speaker 3: He knows that. He knows he's going to get booed.
- 21:41Speaker 3: The president of the Columbus Club arguing it's the right
- 21:43Speaker 3: thing to do. Yeah, he's probably right. I mean, he
- 21:45Speaker 3: is the mayor of New York. It is the right
- 21:48Speaker 3: thing to do. You know, when you're doing a big parade,
- 21:52Speaker 3: you need all kinds of permits to do your big parade.
- 21:56Speaker 3: And you need all kinds of government cooperation. You need
- 21:59Speaker 3: police protection. You need the permits. It's the mayor in
- 22:03Speaker 3: charge of all that. He's really the boss. So it
- 22:05Speaker 3: makes sense to invite him. But again, look for him
- 22:08Speaker 3: not to show up. He knows he'll get booed the
- 22:10Speaker 3: entire route. The video will be everywhere. And does he
- 22:14Speaker 3: really need that? I don't think so. Hey, there's a
- 22:17Speaker 3: caddy who got himself into trouble. He was a PGA caddy.
- 22:22Speaker 3: You know, these caddies make a lot of money. You know,
- 22:25Speaker 3: when a guy wins his million dollars, the caddy gets,
- 22:30Speaker 3: I think it's a 7% commission for the caddy. So
- 22:33Speaker 3: the guy he plays for, he won the British Open 2025,
- 22:37Speaker 3: $ 1. 8 million. The caddy commission on that is $ 126, 000. That's
- 22:42Speaker 3: for one weekend. A couple of those a year. Caddies
- 22:45Speaker 3: can make a lot of money. But this guy got
- 22:49Speaker 3: himself into trouble for dealing cocaine. And he went to prison,
- 22:54Speaker 3: this caddy. And he was barred from working in the UK,
- 22:57Speaker 3: so he couldn't be in the British Open. It's a
- 23:01Speaker 3: 30-year-old conviction. It's a long time ago. He was a
- 23:03Speaker 3: crazy kid, but he straightened himself out. He is one
- 23:06Speaker 3: of the great caddies in the tour, but he can't
- 23:08Speaker 3: go to certain countries because of this conviction. So President
- 23:14Speaker 3: Trump pardoned him. I mean, it's 30 years later. And
- 23:18Speaker 3: that's where you're supposed to use a presidential pardon, where
- 23:20Speaker 3: a guy did his time, went to jail, paid his penalty.
- 23:24Speaker 3: And then for the next few decades, straightened himself out,
- 23:27Speaker 3: turned his life around. That's where you're supposed to use
- 23:29Speaker 3: a presidential pardon. So he got the pardon. He can
- 23:33Speaker 3: go back to work now in any tournament anywhere. It's
- 23:36Speaker 3: a nice thing to do. It's just a kind thing
- 23:39Speaker 3: to do. That's where you're supposed to use a pardon.
- 23:43Speaker 3: And obviously, Trump loves the golf world. They love him.
- 23:46Speaker 3: And I'm sure they pushed him hard for the pardon. Hey,
- 23:49Speaker 3: we got a lot to get to. And we'll take
- 23:51Speaker 3: some calls coming up. But first, on 710WOR. Now, much
- 23:57Speaker 3: more Mark.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 24:03Speaker 6: On 710WOR.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 24:08Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 24:08Speaker 5: 800-321-0710.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Cuba, you know, is an absolute mess. It's a socialist country.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Whenever you have socialism, you have disaster everywhere. You have poverty.
- 24:24Speaker 3: You have a complete mess. Cuba, another blackout over the weekend.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Millions and millions across the island without electricity. Cuba's power
- 24:32Speaker 3: grid collapsed once again Friday. Still out in many places.
- 24:38Speaker 3: People just, one resident there, Off the records is nobody
- 24:42Speaker 3: can stand these constant blackouts. There's not enough food, not
- 24:46Speaker 3: enough water, no electricity. You have no idea how bad
- 24:50Speaker 3: it is. The country's in such a sad state. He
- 24:52Speaker 3: said there's no words for what we're going through. Power
- 24:55Speaker 3: grid collapses have been very, very common in Cuba over
- 25:01Speaker 3: the last couple of years. Severe economic crisis gripping Cuba. Also,
- 25:07Speaker 3: they've been cut off from oil, from us, from everybody.
- 25:10Speaker 3: So it's a big, big problem. But that's what happens
- 25:14Speaker 3: when you try socialism. It always ends that way. Hey, Newsday,
- 25:19Speaker 3: you know, Long Island's newspaper, used to be a big newspaper. Newsday,
- 25:22Speaker 3: not so big anymore. It's a little thing now. But Newsday,
- 25:26Speaker 3: possibly the worst newspaper in America, certainly on the top
- 25:30Speaker 3: five of worst newspapers in America, even doing... what they're
- 25:36Speaker 3: supposed to still be able to do well, and that's
- 25:40Speaker 3: cover Long Island. They really stink at it. They just
- 25:43Speaker 3: put out their list of the 50 best restaurants on
- 25:46Speaker 3: Long Island. Now, Long Island has some of the greatest
- 25:50Speaker 3: restaurants anywhere in the tri-state area. 50 best restaurants on
- 25:54Speaker 3: Long Island. Go read the list. There's like three you'd recognize,
- 25:58Speaker 3: and 47 nobody ever heard of. All the great restaurants
- 26:01Speaker 3: on Long Island are not included on here. There's no...
- 26:05Speaker 3: There's no Cipollini. There's no Prime. There's no Posto Pozzo.
- 26:09Speaker 3: There's no Rothmans. There's no all the great restaurants along.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Left off the list. But that's Newsday. You can always
- 26:16Speaker 3: count on them to be totally unreliable about everything. Hey,
- 26:21Speaker 3: that crazy Hassan Piker, that awful anti-Semite, that ugly, disgusting,
- 26:29Speaker 3: vicious anti-Semite. He's going to speak at Cornell. He's been
- 26:33Speaker 3: invited to speak at Cornell. That's why you got to
- 26:36Speaker 3: stay the hell away from these Ivy League schools. Don't
- 26:39Speaker 3: send your kids there, any of these Ivy League schools.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Experts now say the whole Ivy League, just a hotbed
- 26:46Speaker 3: of anti-Semitism. The event at Cornell already sold out. Who
- 26:53Speaker 3: the hell would even let this guy on the campus,
- 26:55Speaker 3: let alone be the big guest star speaker? Sold out event.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, if you want to call, hey, there's
- 27:02Speaker 3: open lines. So don't tell me you can't get through.
- 27:04Speaker 3: There's open lines. 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710. Let's go
- 27:15Speaker 3: to Bill in Hamburg, New Jersey. Bill, how you doing?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, Mark. You know, the situation with Trump
- 27:24Speaker 2: banning CNN and MSS, whatever the other one is, all
- 27:29Speaker 2: they do is propagandize They lie, they're dishonest, as President
- 27:35Speaker 2: Trump said. They poison minds with their information, and I
- 27:40Speaker 2: understand the constitutionality of freedom of speech, but when it
- 27:45Speaker 2: begins to poison people's minds, then they don't know what
- 27:48Speaker 2: the hell is right from wrong anymore.
- 27:50Speaker 3: You can't say they're poisoning people's minds, because they're speaking
- 27:52Speaker 3: to the choir, they're preaching to the choir, so it's
- 27:55Speaker 3: minds that are already long ago poisoned. But you're right, and...
- 28:01Speaker 3: The problem is they're going to court. They're going to
- 28:02Speaker 3: sue the president. Now, he could very possibly make the
- 28:08Speaker 3: case in court that they're not news organizations. He could
- 28:12Speaker 3: present 50, 60, 100 examples of fake news that they broadcast.
- 28:17Speaker 3: He could present 50 big news stories that they refused
- 28:20Speaker 3: to broadcast because they were too positive about the administration.
- 28:24Speaker 3: So he could make the case in court. It would
- 28:26Speaker 3: be interesting to see. that they're really not a news organization,
- 28:32Speaker 3: that they're just political activists pushing a political agenda. The
- 28:36Speaker 3: Obama administration tried doing that with Fox News. They kept
- 28:40Speaker 3: arguing it's not a news organization. They're just a political activist.
- 28:43Speaker 3: So in this case, you know, the Obama administration tried it,
- 28:46Speaker 3: gave up. But this is President Trump. He always fights harder.
- 28:51Speaker 3: He may pull it off. He may actually get it done.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Let's go to Art Lakewood, New Jersey. Art, how are
- 28:55Speaker 3: you doing?
- 28:57Speaker 11: I'm doing fine. Hope you are too.
- 28:59Speaker 9: I'm good.
- 28:59Speaker 11: I've got a question. I don't know if you can
- 29:02Speaker 11: answer this or not, but the Clancy person who murdered
- 29:06Speaker 11: her three children?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:08Speaker 11: She was supposed to murder herself by committing suicide?
- 29:12Speaker 5: Yes.
- 29:12Speaker 11: I'm wondering why she only jumped off a 10-foot high
- 29:15Speaker 11: second floor.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Well, a lot of people, she did make a suicide attempt.
- 29:19Speaker 3: A lot of people thought it wasn't real. It was
- 29:21Speaker 3: just an attempt to gain sympathy. She didn't cut the
- 29:25Speaker 3: right vein or something. She's a nurse. She worked as
- 29:28Speaker 3: a nurse. She would know exactly how to kill herself,
- 29:30Speaker 3: what vein to cut, all of that, if she really, really,
- 29:33Speaker 3: really wanted to. So a lot of people don't think
- 29:35Speaker 3: it was a sincere attempt. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
- 29:39Speaker 3: how are you? you doing?
- 29:41Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark. You know, I can't, you have to
- 29:44Speaker 6: fill me in. With Pritzker, four data centers in AI,
- 29:48Speaker 6: I understand whenever he's on TV, whenever I see him on,
- 29:51Speaker 6: I just can't listen to him. But he has to
- 29:54Speaker 6: be forward because construction is being planned and for a
- 29:59Speaker 6: 500-acre data center in a town called Essex, which is about, oh,
- 30:03Speaker 6: 60 or 70 miles southwest of Chicago. So what's he
- 30:08Speaker 6: talking about?
- 30:08Speaker 3: He's just anything anti-Trump. Pritzker is just anti-Trump. Whatever he
- 30:13Speaker 3: has to say to be anti-Trump, he'll do it. He's
- 30:15Speaker 3: a big fat slob.
- 30:18Speaker 6: The only thing you see now on TV are commercials
- 30:20Speaker 6: about how he's improved the bonds in Illinois. I don't
- 30:25Speaker 6: know how, but Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Oh, you're in Illinois. He's running for governor. Re-election, right?
- 30:29Speaker 3: So you're seeing his commercials all the time. Do they
- 30:31Speaker 3: show him or they use something?
- 30:34Speaker 6: Yeah, they showed him at a table signing things looking
- 30:38Speaker 6: really important. But he's got to be looking at president
- 30:41Speaker 6: because he's lost a lot of weight.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Well, he hasn't lost a lot of weight.
- 30:47Speaker 6: You're right.
- 30:47Speaker 3: He's lost some, but he's got a ways to go. Boy,
- 30:50Speaker 3: don't ever get in a buffet line behind that guy.
- 30:53Speaker 3: You're going to really get stuck there. Let's go to
- 30:56Speaker 3: Mike in Florida. Mike, how are you doing?
- 30:59Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Yes, Mike.
- 31:01Speaker 9: You mentioned that it's UN week. The only good thing
- 31:04Speaker 9: that comes out of it is that every hooker in
- 31:06Speaker 9: the world is here this week.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Not just regular hookers, but the really
- 31:12Speaker 3: expensive call girls. We're not joking. They actually descend on
- 31:16Speaker 3: New York. They take hotel rooms all over the place.
- 31:19Speaker 3: There's like thousands of them. And the local hookers. The
- 31:22Speaker 3: local hookers can't keep up with all the demand.
- 31:24Speaker 9: That's right. The world-class ones have invaded the city. And
- 31:29Speaker 9: you were talking about the stores that have the cash-counting machines.
- 31:34Speaker 9: The hookers have the cash-counting machines, too, this time of
- 31:38Speaker 9: the year. And when I worked on a PIX this week,
- 31:41Speaker 9: because that studio is right there at the old Daily News.
- 31:44Speaker 3: 42nd and 2nd, yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 9: Yeah, it was a nightmare this week. It was just
- 31:49Speaker 9: the worst. I mean, you know, it was just so
- 31:53Speaker 9: crowded with, you know, bubble heads walking around, you know, sightseeing.
- 31:58Speaker 9: It was a nightmare getting into the office.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yeah, good point, Mike. Thanks for calling. Yeah, if you
- 32:03Speaker 3: try to get to the east side, especially in the 40s,
- 32:06Speaker 3: 3rd Avenue, 2nd Avenue, 1st Avenue, a lot of street closures.
- 32:09Speaker 3: And in many of those blocks, they're closed and you
- 32:11Speaker 3: have to show your ID that you work on the
- 32:13Speaker 3: block or that you live on the block. uh, in
- 32:16Speaker 3: order to even get into the, to be able to
- 32:18Speaker 3: walk down that street. So just avoid the East side. And,
- 32:21Speaker 3: but again, it's going to be congestion all over the place.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Those world leaders staying at the, the Pierre, the Waldorf,
- 32:27Speaker 3: the St. Regis across the street over there, the Warwick,
- 32:31Speaker 3: the Hilton, there'll be all over the place. So it'd
- 32:32Speaker 3: be massive, massive, uh, gridlock everywhere. And, uh, the benefit
- 32:40Speaker 3: is these, uh, delegates all come here, uh, They don't
- 32:44Speaker 3: do anything at the UN. There's nothing that means anything
- 32:47Speaker 3: that happens there. But they bring their families, they bring
- 32:50Speaker 3: their wives, they bring their mistresses, and they all go
- 32:53Speaker 3: on shopping sprees. They spend a fortune. So you can
- 32:56Speaker 3: go into the finest, most luxurious store, and you'll see
- 32:59Speaker 3: this big industrial-looking cash counting machine that counts the bills.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Because they'll spend $ 400, 000 in pay and cash. So those
- 33:08Speaker 3: counting machines are everywhere. As we say, the hookers... I've
- 33:11Speaker 3: come from all over the world to work this week.
- 33:14Speaker 3: It's the biggest week of the year for prostitution here
- 33:19Speaker 3: in New York. Anyway, we've got a lot to get to.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Don't forget, I'm on three hours now, 9 a.m. till
- 33:25Speaker 3: noon every day, three hours every day. And then at noon,
- 33:29Speaker 3: you've got Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. And then at
- 33:31Speaker 3: 3 o'clock, you've got the most listened to radio show
- 33:34Speaker 3: in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at 6, the very
- 33:38Speaker 3: funny Jimmy Fallon. Every night at 9, quite a lineup here,
- 33:42Speaker 3: on 710WOR.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Now 9 till noon weekdays. Mark Simone. More Mark. On 710WOR.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Well, the final full day of summer, the height of
- 33:55Speaker 3: day will be 71. And that's the last day in
- 34:00Speaker 3: the 70s for about a week or so. It's going
- 34:03Speaker 3: to be starting tomorrow in the 60s. High will be
- 34:06Speaker 3: in the mid-60s every day for about a week. Hey,
- 34:09Speaker 3: we got a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Don't forget, I'm here three hours every day, 9 to noon,
- 34:14Speaker 3: 9 a.m. till noon, three hours every day. Mark Simone here.
- 34:20Speaker 3: We'll be back right after the news, too, on 710WOR.
