- 0:52have not bowed the knee unto ball.
- 0:55God, I pray in the name of Jesus against all the wicked,
- 0:59tyrannical, satanic, demonic spirits.
- 1:05God, in the name of Jesus, I pray and rebuke those in the
- 1:09name of Jesus and send them into the judgment that you have a
- 1:13waiting for them, the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
- 1:16God, the chains of utter gloom and darkness.
- 1:20God, send them their Lord in the name of Jesus, I pray for your
- 1:24people who are called by your name will rise up.
- 1:27God, and to have sound minds. Father, I pray against
- 1:30confusion. In the name of Jesus Christ, I
- 1:34pray, Lord God, that you will reign supreme from on high.
- 1:38God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you'll get all the glory.
- 1:42Father, I pray God that we will be laid down lovers of Yeshua.
- 1:47Lord, it's all about King Jesus. It's always been about King
- 1:51Jesus and it'll always be about King Jesus, the King of kings
- 1:55and the Lord of Lords. Faithful and true God, we await
- 1:59God, Help us to wait patiently. The Spirit and the Bride says we
- 2:05worship you today in spirit and truth.
- 2:08Today is the day of salvation. God Almighty, help us to work
- 2:12out our salvation with fear and trembling.
- 2:16God bring contentment to this house.
- 2:18Lord, help us not to be those who are so completely debased
- 2:24and depraved. God, help us to know our worth.
- 2:27Help us to know our dignity. Help us to know that we are
- 2:30created in your image. God Imago day, I pray in the
- 2:34name of Jesus that we will understand our inheritance, that
- 2:40we are your masterpiece. God, I pray that there will be
- 2:44many that get saved today. I pray that many will put their
- 2:47faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and quit playing games with you
- 2:51God, quit waiting on a perfect time, but that they will
- 2:55surrender today. They will lay down all of their
- 2:58own wants, all of their own desires, all of their own
- 3:01passions, God, And they'll take up their cross and they'll count
- 3:05the cost, and they'll follow you and they won't look back.
- 3:08They'll lock eyes with you, God, and go out into the harvest.
- 3:11God, I pray for the missionaries.
- 3:13God, I pray for pastors. God, I pray that you'll raise up
- 3:16strong leaders unto yourself. God, I pray that you'll raise up
- 3:21shepherd kings unto yourself. God, I pray in the name of
- 3:25Jesus, Lord, that the church will not fade away.
- 3:29God, that it will prevail through the darkest times.
- 3:32Lord, that the gates of hell, we'll never be able to shudder.
- 3:36The church, God, capital C God, boots on ground out in the
- 3:40harvest. God, I pray Shekinah, glory
- 3:43come. Lord, come and get your glory.
- 3:45We love you, Father, and it's in your mighty name that I pray.
- 3:51King Jesus, lovely and worthy and holy, forever to be praised.
- 4:01Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.
- 4:09Let his many servants, as they're under the yoke, count
- 4:13their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and
- 4:18his doctrine be not blasphemy. So obviously Paul was writing to
- 4:25a time where there were indentured servants, and it was
- 4:29very prevalent within the Roman Empire and would have you to
- 4:37know that Christianity actually was the catalyst to rid the
- 4:46civilized world of slavery. And it's a hot topic, and we
- 4:52don't actually have the context of what Paul was trying to say
- 4:56here, but the premise remains the same, friends.
- 5:01And it can be applied to employers and employees, the
- 5:06haves and the have nots. And we need to understand that
- 5:11God and his perfect doctrine and His perfect theology from
- 5:18Genesis to Revelation shows us how we ought to treat those.
- 5:23And it does not matter if you have more liberty or if you have
- 5:28more money, you are not better than someone who is made in
- 5:33God's image, and that is his masterpiece.
- 5:37And there is a great equalizer in this life, and it's called
- 5:42Mr. Death, and no one gets to escape it.
- 5:48And you might be like the rich man who eats sumptuously and is
- 5:54dressed in fine linen, and someone else might be like
- 5:58Lazarus who begs for the crumbs that fall off the table.
- 6:03But you can see that in the end it was the poor man who had
- 6:11nothing in this life that was honored and given much blessing
- 6:15in the life to come. And it was the rich man who had
- 6:18plenty here in this life that was in want.
- 6:24So you need to know that while you have breath in your lungs,
- 6:29you need to always keep in mind that to God we must treat others
- 6:41the way that we would want to be treated.
- 6:44With God, we must take care of those that desperately need
- 6:50help. No man is an island.
- 6:53It's not about materialism. It's not about just get all that
- 6:57you can while you can, friends. That is greed at the highest
- 7:01level. If you are spiritually blessed
- 7:06to be someone like Joseph of Arimathea who has plenty, it is
- 7:11so that you can be a conduit and not a reservoir.
- 7:15And here Paul is saying that if we if we are in an employment
- 7:22situation and your boss man is a believer, don't take advantage
- 7:28of the fact that he's a believer and that don't take his kindness
- 7:33for weakness too. And they that have believing
- 7:38masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers,
- 7:42but rather do them service because they are faithful and
- 7:46beloved partakers of the benefit.
- 7:49Don't take advantage of your boss man because he is a
- 7:53Christian. Just because he is nice, it does
- 7:57not give you the right to take advantage of him.
- 8:01And that is what Paul wants us to know.
- 8:03Three, if any man teach otherwise, and consent not to
- 8:06wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to
- 8:10the doctrine which is according to godliness, what's he going to
- 8:15say about that person? Verse 4, He's proud, he knows
- 8:19nothing. He dotes about questions and
- 8:21stripes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil,
- 8:27surmising, 5 perverse disputings of men, of corrupt minds,
- 8:32destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
- 8:36godliness, and from such withdrawal yourself.
- 8:39So Paul holds no punches, and he tells us if any man is teaching
- 8:47other than the words of Christ in the Beatitudes, friends, if
- 8:52any man teaches differently, let him be accursed.
- 8:59And he's telling us what the people who slide away from sound
- 9:06doctrine look like. And these are the indicators.
- 9:10These are little red flags. And we all need to have our
- 9:13radar on and our antenna up because people will give
- 9:17themselves away. You spend a little bit of time
- 9:20with somebody and be quick to listen and slow to speak.
- 9:24And you're going to find out a lot about somebody in just the
- 9:28first few minutes of meeting them.
- 9:31They're going to give you so many little calling cards and
- 9:35Paul tells you what they look like.
- 9:39They don't consent to wholesome words, which means they probably
- 9:43are vulgar and use profanity. They are doting about questions.
- 9:49So these are the people that question everything of did God
- 9:52really say stripes of words? So they pick apart all your
- 9:57little words as you are trying to explain yourself.
- 10:01They attach themselves to 1 little word and then they want
- 10:05to sit and pick you apart. Here it goes, he says, and to
- 10:22the doctrine which is according to godliness, he says they're
- 10:26proud. So you can see it manifested in
- 10:29pride friends, which is the original sin is what got Lucifer
- 10:35kicked out of heaven. Pride is not becoming of a St.
- 10:39If someone is proud, it is a intelligence indicator that they
- 10:45do not belong to God Almighty. He's saying that those people
- 10:50actually know nothing about the wholesome goodness of God's
- 10:54Word. And he tells you here envy.
- 11:04So they will be very envious. So they'll want what you have or
- 11:10they'll want what others have. Friends this jealousy.
- 11:15They'll have strife so you'll see them in very contentious
- 11:20manners. They will be hot headed friends,
- 11:29railings and evil surmisings so they won't believe the good in
- 11:34people. They'll always pick out and
- 11:37they'll always hyper fixate upon the negativity, their perverse
- 11:45disputings of men of corrupt minds.
- 11:49So Titus is going to tell us that they are warped and self
- 11:53condemned and to warn them twice and then to not have anything to
- 11:58do with them. They are perverse, they have
- 12:01corrupt minds, but they sure look the part.
- 12:06They're destitute of the truth. They're so worldly.
- 12:10Everything that they see, even though they call themselves a
- 12:13believer, everything they see is through the lens of how the
- 12:17world sees. And these same people don't care
- 12:26anything about the truth. They're steeped in a lie.
- 12:30And then the biggest lie that they believe is that gain is
- 12:35godliness. And this goes back to when Jesus
- 12:38told his disciples that it it was easier for a camel to go
- 12:43through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to make it into
- 12:46heaven. And then the disciples were
- 12:50aghast. They could not believe what
- 12:53Jesus just said because they thought those that had a lot
- 12:58meant that God was blessing them.
- 13:02They could not understand it which is why they asked well
- 13:05then who can be saved and which Jesus responded.
- 13:10With man it is impossible but with God anything is possible.
- 13:14So you need to understand that there are pockets of people that
- 13:18can have gain and they know that it is from God.
- 13:22But by and large, the vast majority of people get swallowed
- 13:29up with envy. They get swallowed up with
- 13:33greed, friends. And that is what he wants us to
- 13:36know. And he says that gain does not
- 13:40equal godliness. Somebody who has a lot, it does
- 13:45not mean that they are more godly.
- 13:48And he's saying from such people that are perverse and have
- 13:52corrupt minds, withdraw yourself from them.
- 13:56Six, this little nugget. But godliness with contentment
- 14:01is great gain. We do not need more money, we
- 14:06need more contentment, friends. It is contentment that we lack.
- 14:12It is not money. And this goes out to all those
- 14:17who are steeped in a culture who thinks we can measure how much
- 14:24God is pleased with us, by how much we have material blessings,
- 14:29and it should not be so. God calls us to take care of the
- 14:33little that we have, and then he can entrust us with more and
- 14:37more and more. But we keep throwing things away
- 14:42when they break and we just rush out to get more.
- 14:48And you don't need a new pair of shoes, you just need to take
- 14:51care of the one that you have. You don't need a new car, you
- 14:54just need to fix the one that you have.
- 14:57You don't need a new house. You just need to do the
- 15:00maintenance upon the house that God has given you, friends, and
- 15:04then you will see God expand the dominion in your life.
- 15:09We need to work on our contentment friends, more than
- 15:13we need to go out and spend our lives spinning our wheels,
- 15:20working three and four jobs, taking time away from our kids
- 15:25and our wife just to try to put food on our table.
- 15:28We need to trust God with the little that we have in our hands
- 15:32and watch God multiply it. 74 We brought nothing into this world,
- 15:44and it is certain we can carry nothing out, but we sure can
- 15:49send it ahead. Do not store up for yourselves
- 15:52treasures where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and
- 15:56steal, But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
- 16:02where moth and rust cannot destroy, and the thieves do not
- 16:06break in and steal. Friends.
- 16:09And that is what you need to understand is that naked we came
- 16:15into this world and naked we will leave.
- 16:18And life is so much more than materialism and consumerism.
- 16:25It's about enjoying the family that God has given you.
- 16:28It's about receiving the peace of God in the perceived lack.
- 16:33And sometimes God sits us down and tells us to take inventory
- 16:39and to put our house in order, friends, and to quit lusting and
- 16:43whoring after more and more and more.
- 16:46And it's insatiable and it's never satisfied.
- 16:51And when you get what you thought was going to bring you
- 16:53happiness, it is only a curse. And it wraps its tentacles
- 17:00around you and asphyxiates the joy.
- 17:03When we spend our lives comparing ourselves with others,
- 17:07far be it from us that are called Christians who love God.
- 17:13There is no lack in the Father's house He has or inside the earth
- 17:19that we place the value of our currency on.
- 17:22Friends, there is no lack in His house.
- 17:25He can rain down $100 bills. Friends, He can lead you to a
- 17:32property that has a oil reserve on it, a gold mine on it.
- 17:40Friends, God can do anything. God can put manna and quail and
- 17:47water from a rock there, and He has the cattle on 1000 hills.
- 17:53Do not think that the perceived lack in your house is a
- 17:57punishment from God. It is not.
- 18:00He is just asking us to trust Him with our little fish and our
- 18:05little loaves, friends, our little lunch, and we could feed
- 18:08thousands and thousands upon thousands, Friends 8 and have
- 18:19and having food and clothing. Let us be there with content,
- 18:25Paul said. I've learned how to be content
- 18:27with little or much, with a full belly or with an empty stomach.
- 18:32You need to understand, friends, we've got to work on our
- 18:35contentment. We've got to quit comparing our
- 18:39lives with others, what they're driving, what they're wearing,
- 18:43where they're living, where they're going on vacation, where
- 18:47they work, what they look like. We've got to stop it.
- 18:50We've got to get off the crazy train.
- 18:53And we have to rest in God's promises that he's going to take
- 18:57care of us. He can send Ravens to feed us
- 19:01Friends, but we must go out and work with our hands and the
- 19:05little bit that we have and trust to God and watch him
- 19:09multiply it miraculously. And he wants us to live by faith
- 19:13and not by sight. 9:00 But they that will be rich fall into
- 19:22temptation and a snare, and into many foolish, hurtful lusts
- 19:31which drown men in destruction and perdition.
- 19:37You need to understand, friends, that is never enough.
- 19:42You need to understand when you set out and you think that
- 19:46you're going to make an honest living and you think if you just
- 19:49made a little bit more, it was going to bring you the
- 19:51satisfaction. The latest and greatest toys is
- 19:54going to bring you the satisfaction.
- 19:56That next vacation is going to bring you the satisfaction.
- 20:00And all it does is it actually exacerbates the problem.
- 20:05It magnifies the problem, which is greed, friends.
- 20:10And that is why we are called to be content with just food and
- 20:14clothing and not to worry about tomorrow, because today has
- 20:19enough worry in itself. 10 For the love of money is the root of
- 20:28all evil, which while some coveted after they have erred
- 20:35from the faith and pierced themselves through with many
- 20:40sorrows, That is what happens when we set out to be wealthy.
- 20:45It's never enough and you're estranged from your family
- 20:50because they only see you as a paycheck.
- 20:55They don't see you as a person anymore.
- 20:58When you have money, people only want to try to use you for your
- 21:04money and they manipulate you for your money.
- 21:09And you can see here that it is this love of money that is the
- 21:14root of all the evil that we see in the world.
- 21:18And you can see this breaks God's heart when people set out
- 21:24and Jesus Christ told us that you cannot serve 2 masters, you
- 21:31will love 1 and you will hate the other.
- 21:34So if you love money, you will hate God.
- 21:38And that is the promise that is contained in this. 11 But you, O
- 21:46man of God, flee these things, follow after righteousness and
- 21:51godliness, faith and love, and patience and meekness. 12 Fight
- 21:56the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto
- 22:00you are also called and have professed a good profession
- 22:04before many witnesses. Here is the pedigree of a man of
- 22:09God, friends, and what it looks like.
- 22:11We're not called to be lovers of self and lovers of money and
- 22:15lovers of pleasure. We are not called to be lusting
- 22:19after other people's wives. We are not called to be those
- 22:24that are double tongued. We are not called to be those
- 22:29who steal and lie, friends. We are called to practice the
- 22:34meekness and patience and godliness love and the faith and
- 22:38righteousness. Friends that will exude from a
- 22:41man of God who's someone who truly loves Jesus Christ and is
- 22:45sold out to Him and cares nothing for this life and only
- 22:50wants to do what the Father has him to do for his little
- 22:54lifetime that He's given them on this earth. 13 I give you charge
- 23:01in the sight of God who quickens all things.
- 23:05And before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed
- 23:10a good confession. So you can see here that Jesus
- 23:13Christ is worthy to be praised. We can see here that Jesus
- 23:18Christ is God. And Paul here writing to Timothy
- 23:22by way for all the churches who will ever read this book.
- 23:26He's telling us to fight the good fight, to not grow weary,
- 23:31to not be dismayed, but to know that God is fighting our battles
- 23:35for us. 14 that you keep this commandment without spot,
- 23:42unrebukable until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, live a
- 23:47life that is worthy of others to look into, and it only mirrors
- 23:53and models Jesus Christ's life. 15 which in His times He shall
- 24:01show, who is the blessed and only potent, the King of kings
- 24:06and the Lord of Lords. So here we can see that Jesus
- 24:10Christ is the only one that is high and exalted and worthy of
- 24:15all of our praise, and He is the one that we press towards.
- 24:19He is the reward, He is the goal, He is our everything, He
- 24:23is heaven, Friends. 16 Who only has immortality, dwelling in the
- 24:32light which no man can approach, unto whom no man has seen nor
- 24:37can see, to whom be honor and power everlasting, Amen.
- 24:43So we can see that God dwells in unapproachable light, and the
- 24:46only way that we can see God is to look at Jesus Christ, Amen.
- 24:5117 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not
- 24:57high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the
- 25:01living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
- 25:06Think about the fool who had so much hay that he could not store
- 25:11it in his barn. So he says, I'll build another
- 25:13barn. And God says, You fool, for this
- 25:16very night your life will be demanded of you.
- 25:20You need to understand God's ways.
- 25:23You need to understand how God thinks of wealth and we are to
- 25:31distribute it. We are to know that you cannot
- 25:35outgive God. You are to know that God is the
- 25:41greatest giver and He gave first.
- 25:45He gave his one and only Son for us and He wants us to enjoy this
- 25:53life. He doesn't want us to be sticks
- 25:56in the mud. He doesn't want us to just be
- 25:59ornery and to just be bland. He wants us to exude light and
- 26:09salt to this world. 18 that they do good, that they be rich in
- 26:19good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, 19
- 26:25laying up in store for themselves a good foundation
- 26:29against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal
- 26:33life. So just because you're wealthy
- 26:36doesn't mean that you're evil. There are some very few who can
- 26:44have it and they see it in the right manner and it actually is
- 26:48a spiritual gift. Giving is a spiritual gift, and
- 26:53if they can see themselves in the right light, it will produce
- 26:58rewards and blessings upon blessings upon blessings upon
- 27:02blessings upon blessings to be able to cut that check for that
- 27:07ministry and for that missionary praise God Hallelujah for those
- 27:11who are called into giving. 20 Oh Timothy, keep that which is
- 27:19committed to your trust. Avoid avoiding profane vain
- 27:34babblings and oppositions of science falsely so-called.
- 27:40I want you to know this science is nothing more than thinking
- 27:44God's thoughts after God and all this profane babbling.
- 27:51These people are actually condemned by their words, these
- 27:57so-called science fanatics who love science and they care
- 28:03nothing for God and they call God a fairy tale and they want
- 28:07to get rid of religion. They err grievously, and by
- 28:14their words they will be condemned.
- 28:17Friends, God is the one that put the tapestry in the fabric of
- 28:22everything physics in this world, everything seen and
- 28:26unseen, discovered and undiscoverable.
- 28:29Friends, it's all God's breath. And we would do well to
- 28:34understand that God is omnipotent and He sees it all
- 28:41and it's all culminating and everything is going exactly
- 28:45according to plan. That is revealed in the will of
- 28:49God, in the Word of God. And Satan and all the demonic
- 28:52hosts know it. They've been here much longer
- 28:56than us, and they are tying the blindfolds around the masses and
- 29:02leading them off in droves into eternal damnation.
- 29:06And it saddens me, and it should sadden you as well.
- 29:12It breaks my heart, friends, to see so many people choosing to
- 29:18send themselves into eternal torment forever and ever.
- 29:25We'll end on 21, which some professing have erred concerning
- 29:34the faith. Grace be with you.
- 29:37Amen. So many people are choosing to
- 29:40go into eternal separation from a loving God, and it is only by
- 29:47grace through faith that will ever make it there.
- 29:50It's grace through faith that we can even have enough wherewithal
- 29:57in fortitude to latch on to these high spiritual platitudes
- 30:04of what Jesus Christ wrought for us on the cross of Calvary
- 30:08friends. That we can be clothed in his
- 30:10righteousness and we can be pure and holy and blameless in the
- 30:15sight of God. And none of our sins, none of
- 30:18our transgressions will ever be counted against us.
