- 2:13SPEAKER_03: Let's go to Vegas, baby.
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: Let's go tonight.
- 2:19Sean McAllister: Welcome to episode 161 of Vegas Revealed.
- 2:22Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli in a well, currently sunny but still damp Las Vegas.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: It's been an awful winter in Las Vegas.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: We've been all over the place.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: I've got a friend in town right now who was all excited to come in for some pool days.
- 2:39Sean McAllister: Well, it's pool season.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: It's officially started.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: Well, I know.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: I almost feel like, gosh, we really need to like support the pools this summer because there's one resort specifically that I keep getting invites to that they're trying to have this grand opening weekend kind of celebration.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: And it just they keep having to cancel because it's awful weather in the 50s and cloudy.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, all that, all the weather that's moving onshore in Los Angeles.
- 3:06Sean McAllister: It gets to us a day later.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: And man, it has just been gray and chilly.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: Today, uh, we're recording on the 22nd of March.
- 3:16Sean McAllister: This is actually the coldest March 22nd in 50 years.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Wow, isn't that strange?
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: Are we gonna have like a scorching summer?
- 3:25Sean McAllister: I I hope not, because you know spring and fall, the season, talking about like nice temperatures, in Las Vegas, it only lasts for about a week.
- 3:36Sean McAllister: We get a week, maybe two, of like nice mid 70s, and then it just like jumps up to the 90s.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: I know it's it's and if you think about it, it is only the end of March.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: We got April, May, right?
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: Till it really, really, really kicks in.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: I keep thinking it's like closer to summer than it really is.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: True.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: Didn't we just hit spring?
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: Was yesterday the first day of spring?
- 3:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, like we literally just hit spring.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: But you said your grass is growing real nice, right?
- 4:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, all the plants that we put in are loving this.
- 4:05Sean McAllister: And all the natural water falling from the sky, they're happy.
- 4:08Sean McAllister: It's very rare.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: It is plush, we're gonna have plush backyard.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: Which probably means it'll be an awful allergy season, but whatever.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: We're not getting into the medical stuff.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: No, we're we don't have hurricanes, we don't have tornadoes, we're happy for the rain.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: We need it, that's for sure.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: So um, all good stuff.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: All right, we have tons to talk about, so we should probably start getting through it.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: And one of them, um, well, if you hopefully, let's see, this runs on a Saturday.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: So Friday, the day before this podcast drop, the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix released more tickets for the race.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: They did a bunch in November, but it was like overwhelming.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: So they're like, okay, let's figure out where we've got seats, where we've got places, where we're building the grandstands, and then we'll release more.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: And they did.
- 4:53Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:53Sean McAllister: So now that they have the the layout like totally nailed down, they know how many people can be in each section all around the course.
- 5:02Sean McAllister: Uh, a new batch of tickets are now out, starting at$500.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: And that may seem like a steep price, but here's the thing that$500 is for all three days.
- 5:16Sean McAllister: It includes your food, your viewing location, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:22Sean McAllister: Uh now you need to remember too that the race is being run at night starting at 10 p.m.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: So it's not like you're gonna be out there all day long unless you really want to.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Maybe, yeah.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be tons of Vegas style entertainment and there they have all these like specialized menus and food and drinks and all sorts of stuff.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: So if you've got the three-day pass, I'm sure there's gonna be plenty to do when it comes to to Formula One.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: I think every just about everybody uh on the strip, all the major properties are going to be having their own events that are tied into F1.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: And then, of course, the ones that are official sponsors will have, you know, a bunch of extra stuff going on.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: And as we rot watch the uh grandstands be rising up out of the ground over at the official, you know, Formula One headquarters at Koval and and Harmon, just off the strip, um, we're also gonna be seeing a lot of action along the actual race route because in preparation all the roads that those cars are gonna be driving on need to be repaved.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:30Sean McAllister: So starting in April for several weeks, the course is going to be paved, and all those roads are getting new asphalt put on.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: So, um, I mean, that's in the heart of the resort corridor.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: So there are going to be some travel restrictions in place and some delays and headaches if you're if you're stuck in that.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: It's already bad, so I can only imagine.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: And when you say action, it's like not the action we really want.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: Well, we do for the wrong term, but long term, but not the yeah, it's gonna probably be a little bit of a travel nightmare around there.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: But it's funny, I was just driving down this section of paradise that I think is part of the route, and I was like, man, they need a repave.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: It's so bumpy and all over the place.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: So, yep.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: I mean, if this is what's it's gonna take to get it done, then hey, we'll have new roads after, I guess.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: Maybe every year we should just have a different course so that all the roads around the strip end up getting paved.
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: I feel like we can get more in depth in uh Formula One another time because you and I were watching a bunch of simulations.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: We were looking at the renderings and we are literally in awe.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: In it, we need to go into detail about all that another time.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: We do have the renderings on our social media site, so check out Vegas Revealed.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: We'll always be updating you there.
- 7:44Sean McAllister: Uh, another thing that we wanted to mention to you, the M Resort, which is in the south part of the Las Vegas Valley.
- 7:52Sean McAllister: It's you see it along the I-15 if you're driving in from Southern California.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: Uh, they're adding a new$200 million wing to the casino, including a new hotel tower.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: I was surprised about this because I thought, does the M need to expand?
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: Is it that popular?
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: It's not something that uh I visit often because I don't live down that way.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: I know you used to live down there and go there often.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Is it is it a bustling place?
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: Does it stay busy?
- 8:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, it really does.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: Um, it's also the uh official hotel partner of the Las Vegas Raiders training facility, which is like right next door.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: Um, so I know anytime that they're, you know, bringing people in to you go over to the headquarters for anything, if they're staying the night, they'll usually uh stay over at the M.
- 8:43Sean McAllister: So that's you know, brought a bunch of extra business in too.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: True.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: And there are so many more uh houses and retail developments going in as well.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: And I think that you know, when people who live there have guests coming into town, you know, if there if there's no room at the house, then you hey, go stay at the M.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: Oh yeah.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Which we often use as an excuse.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: There's no room here.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: Sorry, I'm storing something in the spare bedroom.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: That that bed is just not ready for humans right now.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: But I've got a great hotel right down the street.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Well, the M is beautiful.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: Whenever I go there, I do think like, you know, great restaurants, great layout, something, it's a little bit different.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: And we, you and I are actually going down there next week to um work.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: We've got a video project we're doing for the Olympia companies, and we're gonna be at the M when they have their big kickoff night, and Luke Bryan's performing.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: And their spa is really nice too, by the way.
- 9:41Sean McAllister: And it always smells nice inside the M.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does smell nice.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: You're right.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: Um, well, this is not the dream that we all hoped for when it comes to the new Dream Las Vegas hotel.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: We told you about this a while ago.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: It's a boutique hotel that's going up just to the south of Mandalay Bay.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: And we were excited about this because we thought it's a great place for those that come in for either business from the airport or like are coming in for a Raiders game and need to like stay over a night.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Maybe they're working the Raiders game, maybe they're going to go to a Raiders game, because it's kind of near the stadium.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: It's a nice location.
- 10:17Dayna Roselli: They started the project and now we have learned it has been fully stopped.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: According to the review journal, our paper here, they say that this project is now on hold.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: And that apparently is because uh the funding that uh the developers thought was in place maybe wasn't.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: And they're kind of behind right now, uh, owing approximately$25 million um on the work that's being done there.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: So they have to put a stop to it until uh new funding can be found.
- 10:53Sean McAllister: Um I'm hopeful that they can find new funding because at that at that south end of the Las Vegas Strip down there, south of Mandalay Bay, um we don't need any more stalled projects.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: No, we don't.
- 11:09Sean McAllister: There was at one time when the high roller was going in and the link was being developed up in the middle of the strip, but there was a developer who came in and said, Hey, I'm gonna put my own giant Ferris wheel down here next to Mandalay Bay.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: Well, there's these giant concrete columns sticking up out of the ground now, and that's as far as they got on the project.
- 11:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we're talking years and years that they have just been sitting there.
- 11:35Sean McAllister: I did notice that that lot is now uh up for sale again, which would be a great place for just a hotel or for a massive uh sports-themed bar restaurant kind of deal.
- 11:50Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Because it's in real close proximity to Allegiant Stadium if you just cross the street and uh it's a good place to like either go after a game or when you need to, or uh, you know, even before a concert or a game to be able to just kind of like settle in and get ready to walk over the bridge and like just go there first for some lunch or something and and some drinks.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, good point.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: If we had if we were investors, we would invest in that.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, no kidding.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: But yeah, I you and I sit here and we go, why did you start when you didn't have the money?
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, I don't know, we are not business people in the in the big business construction developer.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: So, but to me, it just sounds like this happens a lot.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: And I don't know what's going on.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: And I don't know if maybe the developers uh had a a funding plan lined up and something fell through once they already started construction.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: Uh don't know the details on this, but we do know that construction has fully stopped at Dream Las Vegas, there on South Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 12:51Sean McAllister: Um, hopefully they pick it up again soon.
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:54Dayna Roselli: Well, we told you we'd keep you up to date on the hard rock guitar.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: So the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip is now owned by the Hard Rock.
- 13:03Dayna Roselli: We told you a big vote was coming up, and the County Commission has approved plans now to remove the Mirage Volcano and put in that guitar-shaped hotel tower.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: So it is all a go.
- 13:17Sean McAllister: So the plans are all approved.
- 13:20Sean McAllister: Um, and the idea of it is approved, but we still don't have an exact date on when um the volcano's last show will be.
- 13:29Sean McAllister: We don't know when demolition is going to start.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: I have a feeling that's still probably a year or so away.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: Maybe six months to a year.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: We'll see.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: Well, let's hope this guitar, once they start building it, that it keeps going because we don't want it to look like a guitar pick and just sit there for the round base.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: We need it to like if you're gonna start, let's make sure we can go all the way to the top because that's gonna look weird.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: I have a feeling hard rock has their finances all lined up there.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I don't know that I'm gonna miss the volcano.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: I'm probably one of very, I don't know, a few group that don't care that much that the Mirage Volcano is closing.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: I don't know why, but don't hate me.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: I just I haven't been by in a long time, which means it's not a draw for me.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: Fair enough.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: Fair enough.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: All right, moving on.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: Next door to the Mirage is Caesars Palace.
- 14:28Dayna Roselli: You and I were there recently.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: We've been that we've actually been there a lot um at a couple different restaurant openings.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: We've been to a lot of restaurant openings actually at the forum shops at Caesars Palace, which is attached to Caesars Palace, but kind of its own thing.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: We haven't been in the actual hotel casino part for a while for an opening.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: And so we were excited to check out Stanton Social Prime, which just opened and they had a little preview party.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: We were on the VIP list.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: I don't know how we got on it, but we did.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: And we went last week and checked it out, and we were impressed.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: I mean, it is really, really nice and swanky and a really classy addition to Caesars Palace.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we love the decor.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: I know you were, you and I were talking to some folks from Caesars Palace, and they were saying, Oh, we don't even have a lot of the chairs in here yet, but it's a total like throwback to the kind of showgirl boudoir, kind of like the back of the seats have like these showgirlish outfits on them.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: I look forward to seeing that because they had to move some of the seats out for space for the party.
- 15:34Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: But the chandeliers were beautiful, the walls.
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was it was gorgeous in there.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's kind of an art deco uh inspired design inside.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: And all the light fixtures are all eclectic.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: It's not like a total matchy matchy situation going on in there.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: Um, but it is a very elevated feel, but not a stuffy feel, if that makes sense.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we I loved it.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: You and I had some past food that they were passing around, and we were like raving about it.
- 16:06Sean McAllister: Everything was so good.
- 16:07Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: Like the steak and uh fries were delicious.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: There were little almost uh like pierogi kind of deals, which was uh potato and goat cheese.
- 16:19Sean McAllister: Um and then you dipped it in the creme fraîche, and it was phenomenal.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Those little bites I could probably survive on forever.
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean the food was good, and it was gorgeous.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: You and I left there going, we need to go back for dinner, like at ASAP.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: And we also thought this is going to be so popular.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: And we're not the only ones either.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: Here are uh Caesars Entertainment Executive Sean McBurney and chef Chris Santos.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Stanton Social Prime is the perfect addition because when you go in there you feel it's a vibe restaurant, it's a sexy space.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: If you're going to Omnia Nightclub, there's no better restaurant to go to than Stanton Social Prime.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: It really provides something that we haven't had in the end of the empire up until this point.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Uh bringing back a restaurant I had for 15 years in New York City, reinventing it as a modern steakhouse here at Caesars Palace.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: So San Social was a restaurant I opened on the Lower East Side in 2004, all share plates.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: I have a cookbook called Share.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like how my whole thing.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: Um, and uh it became an overnight hit in New York City.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and according to everyone that knows this restaurant well, you have to have the onion soup dumplings.
- 17:33Sean McAllister: Everyone was raving about them.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: And they were saying like they used to have these dumplings at their other restaurant in New York City, and it was like the number one ordered item.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Yeah, super popular.
- 17:44Sean McAllister: Uh, and everybody we talked to said uh who had actually gone in to do uh menu tastings for everything that's being offered there, said, You cannot go wrong on anything you order there.
- 17:56Sean McAllister: So looking forward to uh going back and welcome Stanton Social Prime to Las Vegas and Caesars Palace.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Uh something else we did that actually we didn't have on our list, and I forgot I wanted to mention.
- 18:09Dayna Roselli: We did to the Rouge Room.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, we did at Red Rock.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because we we had talked about it a few times in the podcast that we were going, but then I just was thinking we never talked about after.
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: So that is another new, like kind of swanky place, right?
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Like a Parisian, kind of dark red colors.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: It's in the former, well, it used to be cherry, then it was crimson, then it was something in bloom.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: Crimson and bloom.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: Crimson and bloom.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah, during you know, the springtime.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: But it's been a lot of things over the years, but it's always a great spot.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: And it kind of you walk down this little tunnel and it leads into this bar area that's really nice with booths, and then it leads you right outside to a little pool area.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: So it's it's a great vibe with a bar out there.
- 18:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, um, it was a super nice space.
- 19:01Sean McAllister: Uh, they had a martini cart rolling around, lots of specialty cocktails.
- 19:05Sean McAllister: There was caviar being served, you know, some elevated uh dishes for the cocktail lounge environment.
- 19:13Sean McAllister: So you know uh Rouge now open over at Red Rock.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, in the fries with this truffle something.
- 19:19Sean McAllister: Oh, the truffle aioli.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: Now I think you were standing and chatting, and we ordered you some, or we asked the person, and then I think I ate mine, and then you never sat down, so I ate yours.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: You did bring me some.
- 19:32Sean McAllister: Oh, did I?
- 19:33Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 19:33Dayna Roselli: Oh, I don't remember.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Maybe I was tipsy.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: The martini cart rolled around too many times.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: I don't remember that.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: See, you can tell it was on my mind though, that I felt guilty.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: I was eating your fries.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: I'm bringing it up again, and then I apparently brought them to you.
- 19:49Sean McAllister: Let go of your guilt.
- 19:50Sean McAllister: I got my fries.
- 19:52unknown: Okay.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: Well, when this podcast drops, I will have already gone to Taylor Swift show at Allegiant Stadium.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: Yes, I finally got a pass.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: Which is a huge reversal of fate from the last time we sat down to record because I said, Roselli, do you have your Taylor Swift tickets?
- 20:10Sean McAllister: And the answer was no.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: Well, I got a text today, and now I do, and I'm so excited, I can't even tell you.
- 20:17Dayna Roselli: I feel like a little girl in middle school getting ready to go to New Kids on the Block.
- 20:23Sean McAllister: Are you gonna like rhinestone your kids?
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: No, you know what?
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: I already have well, look at the shoes I'm wearing.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: I'm wearing these.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: I guess.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: Oh, those are already sparkly because I need comfortable shoes.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Because whoever's going to the show is gonna do a lot of walking, you know, to get there.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: So I'm wearing my sparkly sneakers.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: But you know, I'm not putting, I'm not gonna overthink it because I really just want to be comfortable.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: I want to enjoy the show.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: It's apparently over three hours.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: She does 44 songs.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, people are raving about it.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: The production is apparently over the top, goes through all the eras.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: I can't wait for the whole thing.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: I'm so excited.
- 20:56Sean McAllister: It's gonna be great.
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:57Sean McAllister: I'm glad that uh Taylor did two nights here in Las Vegas and now she's off across the country.
- 21:04Sean McAllister: She'll be back for our the rest of our West Coast listeners.
- 21:08Sean McAllister: Uh more towards summer, her tour comes back uh out west and ends up in Los Angeles.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: So we're kind of like it's like Arizona and us, and then she goes out east.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: Florida, and then the mid.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it's interesting because we're kind of like the first westernish.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, I'm excited.
- 21:25Dayna Roselli: We're basically kicking off the Aeros tour.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, these first four shows for sure.
- 21:29Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: Um, we're also gonna be going to Maroon Five.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: They are kicking off, uh, well, we will we'll have already gone when this podcast rolls.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: It's always hard because you know, we do pre-record, but we'll talk about Maroon Five next week.
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: Uh, really excited for their show over at Park MGM.
- 21:46Sean McAllister: And thank you to Maroon Five for sending over a bottle of tequila along with a recipe for the Maroon 5 Las Vegas margarita.
- 21:57Sean McAllister: And it's actually the M5LV margarita.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Margarita is what they're calling.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: That's a nice bottle right there.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: What's the brand?
- 22:04Sean McAllister: It is.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: This is uh Cali Rosa.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: Ooh, it looks good.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: I love that it's kind of like a blush color.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: Is that a blush-colored tequila?
- 22:11Sean McAllister: It's a rosa blanco tequila.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, I've never had that.
- 22:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, made in Mexico, the Cali Rosa brand.
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: Looking forward to it.
- 22:19Dayna Roselli: That's nice.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: Good stuff.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: Rune five.
- 22:23Dayna Roselli: They do it right.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: Adam Levine.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: He's always on top of it.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: He is.
- 22:28Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 22:29Dayna Roselli: Next week we are going to be talking to uh one of the entertainment directors over at Resorts World.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: They have incredible things coming up and a large variety of events and attractions coming and shows.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: So that's going to be a good conversation.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Uh so tune in next week for that.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: But right now, we're going to do some tips.
- 22:53Sean McAllister: And Dana, tip number one this week is in case you're planning on using Las Vegas as the backdrop for an upcoming proposal.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: Which a lot of people do.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: They love something unique, different.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: They go on vacation with a significant other and say, let's go to Vegas.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: And then poof, the big question gets popped.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: And who knows?
- 23:17Sean McAllister: Maybe you propose one night and have the wedding the next night.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: True.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: Or the next hour.
- 23:22Sean McAllister: Or the next hour.
- 23:23Sean McAllister: It doesn't even matter.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: Uh this is pretty cool though.
- 23:26Sean McAllister: We saw this and wanted to share it.
- 23:28Sean McAllister: You can now propose using the Fremont Street Viva Vision Canopy.
- 23:34Sean McAllister: If you get in touch with them, you can work out the details and they will put your message up on the canopy.
- 23:42Sean McAllister: So you have to make sure that you're there at the time when your message is going to run.
- 23:46Sean McAllister: Otherwise, a whole bunch of people are going to know about the proposal except your person who you're proposing to.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: What a unique idea.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: Isn't that cool though?
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because we hear about so many different things proposing in front of the Eiffel Tower and like in front of the fountains, but this is something I've never heard of.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, I hadn't heard about this either.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: And they said the only thing that you need to watch out for is that uh your proposal time cannot uh interfere with any of the regularly scheduled Viva Vision Canopy shows.
- 24:17Sean McAllister: So there's time between those shows when you know personalized messages can run.
- 24:22Sean McAllister: So if you're interested in this, you can send an email to contact at vegasexperience.com and we'll put that uh email link down in our show notes as well.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: Also worth noting last week when we did the visitor study, when it was reasons to go downtown, the number one reason was for the Fremont Street Experience.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: That is very true.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: Under the canopy.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: So it's a popular spot.
- 24:48Dayna Roselli: So make sense.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: That would be a fun one.
- 24:51Sean McAllister: It is, and make sure to bring somebody who could video that moment too, because I guarantee you'll get a lot of people cheering and applauding for you after you pop the question and they see the message on the screen too.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and if you listen to this tip and you do it, you better send us a video.
- 25:07Sean McAllister: Yes, tag us, please.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: We would love to see it.
- 25:10Dayna Roselli: We would.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, and if it is a last minute thing, you could call Sean and I.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: If we aren't busy, we'll come be in the wedding.
- 25:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, we could do that.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: Down at the uh drive-thru chapel.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: We'll sit in the back seat.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's talk shopping.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, got a note from the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: And I must say, I really love this outlet mall.
- 25:36Dayna Roselli: I go there as much as I can, and sometimes life gets busy and I forget.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: And then whenever I go there, I go, man, I need to shop here more because you get tons of deals.
- 25:44Sean McAllister: I always find great stuff there.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: It is good, right?
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:47Dayna Roselli: It's more outdoor.
- 25:48Dayna Roselli: So if it's a chilly day, it can be a little tough.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: Just bundle up or a super hot day.
- 25:52Dayna Roselli: Be prepared.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, or super hot.
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: You're right.
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're kind of like it's like a mall that you walk kind of outside.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: So it's not indoors, but it's a great spot and the weather's perfect here, usually.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're hosting a spring luxury preview event.
- 26:05Dayna Roselli: It's March 30th from five to eight.
- 26:08Dayna Roselli: And apparently shoppers can can hop to the outlet center and enjoy all these different like activations that they're gonna have there.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: They're gonna have retail promotions.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: You're gonna get a gift with purchase, which is available over at the guest services as long as you have a day of receipt.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: Um, and you're gonna get complimentary valet, and you're gonna get access to drop it, which is this digital service that will deliver shopping bags directly to your hotel.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: Or your home.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: So that you don't, because when you're out, you know, shopping around, as the bags start to add up, right?
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: It starts to be like you don't want to shop anymore because you're carrying all this stuff.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: Well, they're gonna take it and just, you know, as you go along, just deliver it.
- 26:51Sean McAllister: Huh.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: Um, well, they'll deliver it at the end, apparently.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: So right to your hotel and interesting.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: That's a cool service.
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: I know, it really is.
- 26:59Dayna Roselli: So participating stores um include like Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weisman, David Yeerman.
- 27:05Dayna Roselli: There's tons of different stores.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: And I know when people visit Las Vegas, they love to check out our luxury stores because it's not something that they can easily find in their hometown.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: So this would be a spot to go find, you know, already it's an outlet store.
- 27:20Dayna Roselli: So you're there are gonna be discounts, and now there's gonna be even more.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: So check it out.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: The uh North Premium Outlets, you basically take I-15 and get off around Charleston, and it's right there.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: You'll see it.
- 27:31Dayna Roselli: It's right next to the big huge building, which is the uh Las Vegas Furniture Market Place.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: Uh the World Market Center.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: World Market Center, you're right.
- 27:38Dayna Roselli: And it's easy to get to.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: So um, just a little tip if you want to shop.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: So I love it.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: Proposals downtown and then a little shopping.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: Those are our tips today.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: Do we make 30 minutes around?
- 27:48Sean McAllister: Uh, right around there.
- 27:50Sean McAllister: It's gonna be right up against it.
- 27:52Sean McAllister: Oh, that's good.
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: It's our goal every week to be around 30 minutes, and we just keep getting longer and longer and longer.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: So it like doesn't work at all.
- 27:59Sean McAllister: We're trying to rein ourselves in.
- 28:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:01Dayna Roselli: Hey, and listen, to find that shopping spot, you might want to download the Vegas Near Me app.
- 28:06Dayna Roselli: We have a link free in our show notes.
- 28:08Dayna Roselli: Uh again, they have everything Vegas in there that's fun to do or see, attractions.
- 28:13Dayna Roselli: You'll find details, hours, where to park, all that good information.
- 28:17Dayna Roselli: We've had a few of our listeners write us just last week saying, Thank you so much.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: I downloaded it, I'm getting ready to come to Vegas.
- 28:23Dayna Roselli: This is perfect.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: So again, it's free.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: Nothing, you can have an Android, you can have an iPhone, whatever you want.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: If it's fun to do or see in Las Vegas, it's on Vegas near me.
- 28:34Sean McAllister: That is episode 161.
- 28:37Sean McAllister: We'll be back again next week.
- 28:40SPEAKER_04: See ya.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: Nope, talk to you then.
- 28:43SPEAKER_04: Drive on through the night.
- 28:46SPEAKER_04: The desert sky is cold, but in the eyes will ride.
- 28:50SPEAKER_04: Ryan on a Friday and the baby landscape.
- 28:54SPEAKER_04: Talk to the 15 Western Charles.
