  Speaker 1: It's still.
• 0:15
  Speaker 2: Welcome. Everybody.
• 0:18
Speaker 3: Welcome to this week's edition in the Stow Real Does
• 0:20
Speaker 3: Show episode number seven or seventy three for December fifth,
• 0:24
Speaker 3: twenty twenty four. This year WWE Survivor Series, War Games
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Recap and NXT Deadline Review and Predictions edition of past
• 0:33
  Speaker 3: Our Team You.
• 0:35
Speaker 2: I am one half the show. I am Jeff Beck
• 0:38
Speaker 2: who joined every single week up by my Coast. I
• 0:40
Speaker 2: want to lead Doctor Trey. Franklin, Doctor Trey, we have
• 0:44
Speaker 2: a very serious discussion have later on on this show.
• 0:47
Speaker 4: My friend, is it about the possibility of me teaming
• 0:51
Speaker 4: with cmpunk or being bullied by CM Punk? Because both
• 0:55
Speaker 4: of those things are not true. So I don't need
• 0:56
Speaker 4: any lawsuits or sneak attacks by Drew Mack and tire
• 1:00
Speaker 4: because of this. I have no affiliation in any way
• 1:03
Speaker 4: with Seeing Punk. If anybody does, it's you, So I
• 1:07
Speaker 4: would watch out for somebody coming and kicking your face
• 1:10
Speaker 4: in because you actually have talked to see him Punk before.
• 1:14
Speaker 2: I think three times now, and it's not because like
• 1:17
Speaker 2: the cops were like, all right, leave him alone, get
• 1:19
Speaker 2: him out of here. Career highlights for me Doctor Trey
• 1:23
Speaker 2: was the ability to not only interview but meet cempunk
• 1:28
Speaker 2: in my brief time in sports radio back in now,
• 1:31
Speaker 2: which seems very very long time ago twenty twelve, which
• 1:36
Speaker 2: we did air on the show. At one time, I
• 1:38
Speaker 2: had the opportunity to interview and meet cmpunk and it
• 1:42
Speaker 2: was a career highlight. I have never been more nervous
• 1:45
Speaker 2: in my life. I don't know if I've ever shared
• 1:47
Speaker 2: that on this podcast, but I like remember taking a
• 1:49
Speaker 2: shower heading into getting ready to go into work and like,
• 1:52
Speaker 2: I'm like, I am fucking shaking. I'm so nervous, And
• 1:56
Speaker 2: if anybody knew it was because of a wrestler, they
• 1:58
Speaker 2: would be like, what the fuck is wrong with you?
• 2:01
Speaker 2: But it was legitimate. I mean, I've been fortunate enough
• 2:04
Speaker 2: to interview a lot of really cool people, and the
• 2:08
Speaker 2: number one person I was most nervous about was him,
• 2:13
Speaker 2: And I think it had everything to do with just
• 2:14
Speaker 2: being like extremely intimidated.
• 2:16
Speaker 4: What so like you you interviewed see him Punk? And
• 2:21
Speaker 4: it was also there was one like in person as.
• 2:23
Speaker 2: Well, right, So I did two on the phone, yeah,
• 2:27
Speaker 2: and one in person, which I think somewhere on the internet,
• 2:30
Speaker 2: like if you type in the Bower Show see I'm
• 2:32
Speaker 2: Punk into YouTube, like it's still like a pretty high
• 2:35
Speaker 2: or decently like viewed video. Because he told a story.
• 2:40
Speaker 2: We were like, we asked him, like, what is his
• 2:42
Speaker 2: best vincick Man story, And he talked about a time
• 2:45
Speaker 2: they went over to Baghdad or something some war torn
• 2:48
Speaker 2: area when they were, you know, going to the locations
• 2:50
Speaker 2: overseas for the troops, and he and it must have
• 2:53
Speaker 2: been Iraq because I remember him saying it was like
• 2:55
Speaker 2: Saddam one of Saddam Hussein's mansions, and it was like him,
• 3:01
Speaker 2: vincick Man and one other person that's escaping mir right now.
• 3:05
Speaker 2: And he actually brought up that edge told this story
• 3:08
Speaker 2: during his Hall of Fame speech, but did not mention
• 3:13
Speaker 2: Punk was there, and like I remember being in the
• 3:15
Speaker 2: studio in Punk like rolled his eyes. So there was
• 3:17
Speaker 2: some definitely some heat there between those two. And he
• 3:22
Speaker 2: said he was just asleep and all of a sudden
• 3:24
Speaker 2: he heard vincick Man rip a major fart and he
• 3:27
Speaker 2: just heard then Vince just laugh, just go ha ha ha.
• 3:31
Speaker 2: And that got so much publicity that you would have
• 3:36
Speaker 2: no idea. Like the radio station I worked for, so
• 3:39
Speaker 2: there was a cluster of them. There was a sports
• 3:41
Speaker 2: radio station that I worked for there was a like
• 3:45
Speaker 2: eighties nineties type alternative music station. There was a country station,
• 3:51
Speaker 2: a pop station, and Punk would go around and make
• 3:53
Speaker 2: the rounds. And everybody was against having see him Punk
• 3:57
Speaker 2: there because it was like, what are we gonna talk
• 3:59
Speaker 2: to two wrestler about. And I remember Bauer, a friend
• 4:03
Speaker 2: of both Doctor Trey and I. He was like, Jeff,
• 4:07
Speaker 2: you got to be there for this.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: I was.
• 4:08
Speaker 2: I was interning at the time, and we did it.
• 4:12
Speaker 2: We had the interview, ran the interview. Punk tweeted it
• 4:16
Speaker 2: out when he was still on Twitter at the time
• 4:17
Speaker 2: and got us a whole bunch of people to tune
• 4:19
Speaker 2: in on the on the online version of the show
• 4:22
Speaker 2: that was streaming at the time in the infancy stages
• 4:25
Speaker 2: of streaming, and he gave us some love. And I
• 4:30
Speaker 2: sent it out to like pw insider, dot Com, Wrestling
• 4:33
Speaker 2: nanc all these wrestling news websites to be like, hey,
• 4:36
Speaker 2: Punk was on our show, this is what we talked about,
• 4:38
Speaker 2: this is what he said. Here's a link to it.
• 4:41
Speaker 2: And I send it out and the next morning I
• 4:45
Speaker 2: get an email forward to me from Bauer saying like,
• 4:48
Speaker 2: holy shit, dude, check this out. And I worked for
• 4:52
Speaker 2: iHeartRadio music or radio which has million, you know, millions
• 4:56
Speaker 2: of stations across the country coast to coast, north, south east.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: We it's all over the place. And it was the
• 5:03
Speaker 2: top like twenty five most listened to shows for the
• 5:08
Speaker 2: day across the country, and we were number three. And
• 5:13
Speaker 2: I remember like number two was let's say, like Elvis
• 5:17
Speaker 2: Duran at Z Morning Zoo, and number one was fucking
• 5:19
Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest. We were number three. It had like over
• 5:25
Speaker 2: five hundred thousand listens. It was insane. It just took off.
• 5:30
Speaker 2: And it was because of the stuff that he said
• 5:32
Speaker 2: about Vince at the time, and everybody was like laughing
• 5:34
Speaker 2: about it, and it was a really good interview and
• 5:38
Speaker 2: it was a career highlight obviously for me to be
• 5:40
Speaker 2: like we were number three in the entire country for that,
• 5:43
Speaker 2: and then after that, everybody was like, we need to
• 5:44
Speaker 2: get more wrestlers on, Like they were actually talking about
• 5:47
Speaker 2: like could we get a wrestler on once a week
• 5:50
Speaker 2: from WWE and type stuff. They wanted to like get
• 5:54
Speaker 2: either Bauer or Eye when they were doing a house
• 5:56
Speaker 2: show at the Exile Center to like be in the
• 5:59
Speaker 2: rain and get hit with this chair. I was like
• 6:00
Speaker 2: absolutely not, but I kind of want to do it.
• 6:03
Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean I interviewed Punk three times. Punk
• 6:07
Speaker 2: was very standoffish and defensive, and then once he kind
• 6:13
Speaker 2: of he opened up as the interview went on, he
• 6:15
Speaker 2: opened up to it and I've always I think I've
• 6:17
Speaker 2: always talked about this and afterwards he was like, that
• 6:19
Speaker 2: was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed like having
• 6:21
Speaker 2: time with you guys, you know, let me know. And
• 6:23
Speaker 2: every other time after that we would have him on.
• 6:26
Speaker 2: I think we had him on to promote the Best
• 6:27
Speaker 2: in the World DVD. He remembered us, which obviously made
• 6:30
Speaker 2: my heart explode. When they were promoting w W two
• 6:34
Speaker 2: K twelve, he remembered us and that was just like
• 6:37
Speaker 2: the coolest shit in the world for me. That like
• 6:39
Speaker 2: we kind of won his trust over and he was like,
• 6:41
Speaker 2: really really cool and he was like off microphone, He's like,
• 6:44
Speaker 2: I really appreciate you guys. Always have a very fun time,
• 6:47
Speaker 2: you know, thanks so much, and he was great, and yeah,
• 6:50
Speaker 2: it was it was a career highlight. It's stuff that
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: I it's it's that part of stuff that I miss
• 6:55
Speaker 2: about that job because it did not pay well at all,
• 6:57
Speaker 2: had to move out completely out of it, but I
• 6:59
Speaker 2: got an opportun interview him multiple times, Dolph Siegler, Dean Ambrose,
• 7:04
Speaker 2: John Moxley, I interviewed people from ROH back in the day,
• 7:10
Speaker 2: Terry Funk. It was. It was a blessing and I
• 7:13
Speaker 2: am a lot of people throw that word around a lot,
• 7:15
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey, but I was absolutely blessed to have that
• 7:19
Speaker 2: opportunity to interview people that I looked up to and
• 7:22
Speaker 2: people that I you know, regularly, you know, watched on
• 7:25
Speaker 2: television because punk was a god to me back then.
• 7:28
Speaker 2: So it was a really really cool moment.
• 7:31
Speaker 4: The reason why I asked about the in person is
• 7:34
Speaker 4: because I remember telling me how nervous you were, and
• 7:36
Speaker 4: so in my head and going, Okay, what were the
• 7:38
Speaker 4: times in my life where I was most nervous for
• 7:40
Speaker 4: something And how did I act before I went into
• 7:44
Speaker 4: that situation, Because it's only so much. You can't obviously,
• 7:47
Speaker 4: especially being professional, you can't show your nerves. You have
• 7:49
Speaker 4: to act like you're calm, cool and collective. But I'm like,
• 7:53
Speaker 4: I wonder if Jeff shaved extra that morning, did he
• 7:56
Speaker 4: put on cologne, like did he go all out like
• 7:59
Speaker 4: just like the first date with a with a girl,
• 8:01
Speaker 4: that you know is outside your league, Like, did you
• 8:04
Speaker 4: over do you? Looking back, do you think you overdid
• 8:08
Speaker 4: the reaction to your nerves by you know, overindulging in
• 8:12
Speaker 4: those things, or did you just go all right, I'm nervous.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: Fuck it, I'm gonna go in and be me and
• 8:17
Speaker 1: just see how it plays out.
• 8:20
Speaker 2: Oh no, one hundred percent overdid it?
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: Really?
• 8:23
Speaker 2: I was told I was going to get one question
• 8:25
Speaker 2: with Punk, so I was Bauer had started in March
• 8:29
Speaker 2: twenty twelve, and he was like, you know, angling to
• 8:32
Speaker 2: get me on. It couldn't get paid. I'd have to
• 8:34
Speaker 2: do an internship. Meanwhile, I'm not in college and I'm
• 8:37
Speaker 2: in my mid twenties, so I'm basically I'm just doing
• 8:39
Speaker 2: it for free, just to like prove my worth, which
• 8:42
Speaker 2: is like an insane thing to say out loud. But
• 8:44
Speaker 2: like doctor Trenon were talking about this off air like
• 8:47
Speaker 2: that was kind of our generation. I don't necessarily know
• 8:49
Speaker 2: if people will do that nowadays, honestly. So yeah, I
• 8:55
  Speaker 2: mean I, I, you know, did that where I I
• 9:00
Speaker 2: thought like crazy about the question I would ask him,
• 9:04
Speaker 2: and I remembered seeing on Twitter, and this is a
• 9:07
Speaker 2: thing that I've always wanted to do in my life
• 9:10
Speaker 2: is I've always wanted to go to the WWE warehouse
• 9:12
Speaker 2: and he had just gone to it, and I was like,
• 9:16
Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask him about that, like what was the
• 9:17
Speaker 2: coolest thing he ever saw? And he basically just regurgitated
• 9:21
Speaker 2: what he had tweeted. He was like, I saw a
• 9:23
Speaker 2: bunch of lockers that the headbangers had like spray painted on.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: I'm like, fuck, I had one question to ask him
• 9:29
Speaker 2: that day in person, and that's what the fuck I picked.
• 9:34
Speaker 2: I also did not want to be like over Fanny,
• 9:36
Speaker 2: like like like being too weird where he would like
• 9:40
Speaker 2: want to do a uh uh a restraining order against
• 9:46
Speaker 2: me type stuff. I remember I took and I think
• 9:49
Speaker 2: I texted it to you, doctor Trey. I think I
• 9:52
Speaker 2: took a picture of him and it was like all
• 9:54
Speaker 2: blurry and shit of him sitting at the microphone and
• 9:57
Speaker 2: me sitting at the mic like from a distance from him.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: And reason why it was so blurry is because not
• 10:01
Speaker 2: because the poor camera quality back then twelve years ago,
• 10:04
Speaker 2: but my fucking hand was shaking. And I also didn't
• 10:07
Speaker 2: want him to like catch me taking a picture of him,
• 10:09
Speaker 2: because I think he would have been like, you know,
• 10:11
Speaker 2: what what is with this fucking freak? So, yeah, it was.
• 10:16
Speaker 2: It was a career highlight. Man, I will never forget it.
• 10:20
Speaker 2: I definitely overdid it. I wish I had calmed myself
• 10:23
Speaker 2: afterwards after that, once it was like done. You know,
• 10:26
Speaker 2: it's funny because it was so early in that phase
• 10:28
Speaker 2: of my radio career. After that, I never you know,
• 10:31
Speaker 2: there would be times where I'd be like, I can't
• 10:33
Speaker 2: believe I'm doing this, Like I'm looking at my right
• 10:35
Speaker 2: and I'm interviewing fucking Marcus Allen or a Madrashad, which
• 10:39
Speaker 2: like I would watch NBA inside stuff like religiously as
• 10:42
Speaker 2: a kid. There were definitely times where I'm like, I
• 10:45
Speaker 2: can't believe this is happening. But once I did the Punk,
• 10:47
Speaker 2: it was like you can only go up from here
• 10:50
Speaker 2: at this point. I mean, there's coen times where you
• 10:52
Speaker 2: interview people that you've looked up to seeing your whole life,
• 10:55
Speaker 2: and yeah, it was. Uh, it was definitely a really
• 11:00
Speaker 2: cool learning experience and one that I'm like truly honored
• 11:03
Speaker 2: and blessed to have in my life because obviously at
• 11:05
Speaker 2: this point, unless you know, I wake up tomorrow and
• 11:09
Speaker 2: this is like a show that is just completely taken off.
• 11:13
  Speaker 2: I can't foresee w W wanting to talk to Doctor
• 11:17
Speaker 2: Tran and I anytime soon, especially for the ship that
• 11:19
  Speaker 2: we say.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: Maybe Tony Kahn.
• 11:20
Speaker 4: But yeah, but it was just the reason because I
• 11:23
Speaker 4: was thinking back to like, you know, me breaking into wrestling.
• 11:26
Speaker 4: I remember like one of the very first shows I did,
• 11:29
Speaker 4: we did a big show in whatever our colliseums. It
• 11:32
Speaker 4: was like we're like, we're gonna bring in like three
• 11:34
Speaker 4: thousand people because Devon Dudley was on the show.
• 11:37
Speaker 2: I remember that he had they had his kids with him, right.
• 11:40
Speaker 4: He was that was his thing. He was trying to
• 11:42
Speaker 4: get his kids over and get people look at them.
• 11:44
Speaker 4: So he was bringing them in and I was super
• 11:46
Speaker 4: nervous because this is the show that we did live
• 11:48
Speaker 4: commentary on the microphone during the matches, and so I
• 11:52
Speaker 4: was super nervous. But I was also like really like, hey, man,
• 11:55
Speaker 4: if I do a great job, you know, he might
• 11:57
Speaker 4: throw a rewarding for me somewhere.
• 11:58
Speaker 1: This might be that thing that takes me, you know,
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: takes me somewhere.
• 12:02
Speaker 4: And it was like two matches before his the owner
• 12:06
Speaker 4: of the show comes by and he's like, hey, Devon
• 12:08
Speaker 4: doesn't want you doing live commentary during his kids match
• 12:11
Speaker 4: because he doesn't want to throw them off, and I
• 12:14
Speaker 4: was like, I got mad.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: But the best thing about.
• 12:18
Speaker 4: That was it put me on that thing of like, Okay,
• 12:21
Speaker 4: these are just regular guys that have a job. And
• 12:24
Speaker 4: from then on, I never really got nervous when a
• 12:28
Speaker 4: big name was coming into one of our shows, Like
• 12:30
Speaker 4: I mean, you know, we've had Conrad Thompson at our show,
• 12:33
Speaker 4: and for two guys that do a podcast like that
• 12:37
Speaker 4: would be a nerve wrecking moment. I'm like, no, if
• 12:40
Speaker 4: he likes as he likes, and he does and he
• 12:41
Speaker 4: doesn't like, So from then.
• 12:42
Speaker 1: On, I was always kind of cool with it.
• 12:44
Speaker 4: The most nervous I've got since that time was when
• 12:46
Speaker 4: The Rock and Roll Express came in, because like I've
• 12:49
Speaker 4: been watching those guys since I was seven years old,
• 12:52
Speaker 4: like thirty five forty years I've been watching the Rock
• 12:54
Speaker 4: ro Express and Super Cool and they like literally I
• 12:57
Speaker 4: had to open the show with the promo and so
• 13:00
Speaker 4: like the first image, They're gonna get a Rocket City
• 13:03
Speaker 4: Championshire Wrestling is what I'm saying on the microphone.
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: And I went.
• 13:07
Speaker 4: Out there and cut a promo and a guy and
• 13:09
Speaker 4: I got to the back and the and.
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: Barry call off.
• 13:12
Speaker 4: The owner of Rocket City came by and goes, hey,
• 13:14
Speaker 4: Robert Gibson said, you killed it out there on the microphone,
• 13:16
Speaker 4: said what a great job you did. I was like, okay,
• 13:19
Speaker 4: I'm I'm good at this, and so from the from
• 13:21
Speaker 4: then on, I was super cool. But there they were
• 13:23
Speaker 4: one of the first people that I also threw out
• 13:25
Speaker 4: that hole. You know, don't be a mark, don't take
• 13:28
Speaker 4: pictures with wrestlers if you're working the show. I was like,
• 13:30
Speaker 4: I have to get a picture of the Rock Roll Express.
• 13:32
Speaker 4: Like there's no way around it. I have to get
• 13:35
Speaker 4: this done because of like not just my fandom form,
• 13:38
Speaker 4: but my family grew up on the Rock Roll Express
• 13:41
Speaker 4: as well. So from then on, I've also I don't
• 13:43
Speaker 4: have an issue with taking pictures with somebody because of
• 13:46
Speaker 4: of doing with that. But I also remember, like that
• 13:49
Speaker 4: divon thing, Dude, I shaved, I made sure my suit
• 13:52
Speaker 4: was pressed, I made sure my tie was good, I
• 13:55
Speaker 4: made I double checked, you know, did the armpit check
• 13:58
Speaker 4: just to make sure I smell good.
• 13:59
Speaker 1: Thought a whole nine yards.
• 14:01
Speaker 4: But from then on, I'm like, no, I'm just gonna
• 14:03
Speaker 4: do I'm gonna be me and if I'm good, great,
• 14:06
Speaker 4: and if I suck, I suck. It's just kind of
• 14:09
Speaker 4: is what it is after that point.
• 14:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think once you get in that industry, right,
• 14:12
Speaker 2: you kind of like change a little bit and you
• 14:15
Speaker 2: look at everybody as strange as it is, and whether
• 14:17
Speaker 2: they've been more successful than you or not, as like
• 14:20
Speaker 2: we're peers. Because I did the ESPN thing, working at
• 14:23
Speaker 2: the Mothership there and working in Bristol, Connecticut, and you know,
• 14:27
Speaker 2: walking by people that I watched on television my entire life.
• 14:32
Speaker 2: You know, I had the honor and privilege to work
• 14:33
Speaker 2: with Stuart Scott for a project that he did and
• 14:37
Speaker 2: that was like I could not put into words how
• 14:40
Speaker 2: much that guy meant to me when I was growing up.
• 14:43
Speaker 2: So yeah, we're very blessed to be able to do
• 14:46
Speaker 2: a lot of these things and have these types of stories,
• 14:49
Speaker 2: because at the end of the day, you like, you
• 14:51
Speaker 2: only go one way in this life, and to be
• 14:53
Speaker 2: able to say that you interview these people and share
• 14:56
Speaker 2: the ring with these people is pretty cool.
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: Yeahbsolutely.
• 15:00
Speaker 4: So yeah, speaking of wit, we should we should. After
• 15:04
Speaker 4: you have your little coughing fit there, we should be Yeah.
• 15:07
Speaker 2: No, no, I'm I'm I'm doing much better here, Doctor Trey.
• 15:10
Speaker 2: So as much as it doesn't sound like it, why
• 15:14
Speaker 2: don't we get into it? WWE Survivor Series Wargames recap
• 15:17
Speaker 2: and review this past Saturday from the Rodgers Arena in Vancouver,
• 15:20
Speaker 2: British Columbia, Canada. The first thing here read Ripley, Bianca
• 15:24
Speaker 2: bell Air, Naomi, Eo Sky and Bailey defeat Live Morgan, Rakel, Rodriguez,
• 15:28
Speaker 2: Nia Jack, Tiffany Stratton, Andy Canniel Ray and the Women's
• 15:30
Speaker 2: War Games match. I Team Ripley, Doctor Trade Team Live.
• 15:34
Speaker 2: My thoughts on this one. This match in the beginning
• 15:37
Speaker 2: looked like it was destined for a potential train wreck,
• 15:39
Speaker 2: as there were some spots with Nia Jacks that did
• 15:41
Speaker 2: not go well at all. However's the match went on,
• 15:43
Speaker 2: it felt like all ten women got into the groove
• 15:45
Speaker 2: and the match got better as it progressed. Hitting the
• 15:48
Speaker 2: top rope Riptide on Live Morgan through the table for
• 15:50
Speaker 2: the win was a nice way to continue this feud forward,
• 15:53
Speaker 2: and there's some good spots in this match, like Tiffany
• 15:55
Speaker 2: Stratton debating doing a cash in, which would have been
• 15:57
Speaker 2: absolutely eptic epic on our team, and the tension between
• 16:01
Speaker 2: Loray and Stratton as they vuy for Jack's affection. My
• 16:04
Speaker 2: only issue with this match was wish. I wish they
• 16:07
Speaker 2: played on the build up of the history between Bailey
• 16:09
Speaker 2: and Eosky that resulted in some sort of burying the
• 16:12
Speaker 2: hatchet rather than ignoring it throughout the short build up
• 16:16
Speaker 2: because of I guess Jade carr Gill's injury. The fact
• 16:19
Speaker 2: that WWA did not really touch that story heading into
• 16:21
Speaker 2: this one makes me think that car Gill got legit injured,
• 16:24
Speaker 2: which I know is a debated topic right now online
• 16:27
Speaker 2: because if it was storyline, they would have been prepared
• 16:30
Speaker 2: for it and they never touched it. Overall, a good
• 16:32
Speaker 2: but not great War Games match, Doctor Trey.
• 16:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not even the good category because for me,
• 16:38
Speaker 4: like that first eight minutes of the match I thought
• 16:42
Speaker 4: was just atrocious, just so bad. And I don't like
• 16:47
Speaker 4: blaming NYA Jacks for everything, because you could audibly hear
• 16:50
Speaker 4: Bailey calling spots during that match as well, So I
• 16:54
Speaker 4: mean it was just rough. And you know, even the
• 16:58
Speaker 4: spot with the trash can and the moon salt, you know,
• 17:01
Speaker 4: with with Tiffany and EO going, it.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: Just felt so well, I mean, so scripted.
• 17:07
Speaker 4: I mean it was like, I mean, you're watching Eo
• 17:09
Speaker 4: climb the ring climb up there with the trash can,
• 17:11
Speaker 4: You're like, all right, that's cool. And then because you
• 17:13
Speaker 4: don't get the spot, but then just watching everybody stand
• 17:15
Speaker 4: around and wait for them to jump, like it just
• 17:19
Speaker 4: I don't know, and then just the chair shots were bad.
• 17:21
Speaker 4: Like the the ending of the match is the only
• 17:24
Speaker 4: thing that kind of made me go from really bad
• 17:28
Speaker 4: to passable. Like the spot with the handcuffs was cool,
• 17:32
Speaker 4: a little bit of magic trickery because you see the
• 17:34
Speaker 4: the fire extinguisher goes off and you can't see what's
• 17:37
Speaker 4: going on. All of a sudden, you know where Keul's handcuffed,
• 17:39
Speaker 4: and then you get the rea with the rip tied
• 17:41
Speaker 4: through the table. Like the ending was pretty good, but
• 17:45
Speaker 4: I mean there there were some just really bad moments
• 17:48
Speaker 4: of like maybe we should just not let the women
• 17:52
Speaker 4: have chairs in matches, because nobody swung a chair with
• 17:56
Speaker 4: anything other than just like, I mean, the only thing
• 18:00
Speaker 4: I can think that was softer is when the boys
• 18:02
Speaker 4: come out with Dalton Castle and they had the little
• 18:04
Speaker 4: feathers flapping around around daland Castle.
• 18:06
Speaker 1: I mean they were just so bad looking.
• 18:08
Speaker 4: I mean it was aw fake punching Dustin Rhodes, you know,
• 18:12
Speaker 4: dark order type stuff bad at times in that match.
• 18:15
Speaker 4: So I enjoyed the finish, but really for about the
• 18:19
Speaker 4: first eight minutes was bad. The first fifteen was in
• 18:22
Speaker 4: and then the ending is the only thing that pulled
• 18:24
Speaker 4: it up for me.
• 18:25
Speaker 2: Going to the next matchery of Shinsky and Kockamore defeeding
• 18:28
Speaker 2: in La Night to win in w United States Championship.
• 18:30
Speaker 2: We both at LA Night and this one. I love
• 18:33
Speaker 2: the new change of direction of Shinsky and Nackimore and
• 18:35
Speaker 2: I'm happy that he is back on WE Television. It
• 18:37
Speaker 2: has been way too long putting the US title on
• 18:39
Speaker 2: Knockamore and makes so much sense as it would set
• 18:41
Speaker 2: his new correct character back had he lost in the
• 18:44
Speaker 2: title match on PLA. We do need another top heel
• 18:47
Speaker 2: on the SmackDown brand, and this version of knackamoor and
• 18:49
Speaker 2: may just be the next new heel we need on
• 18:51
Speaker 2: the Blue brand. I also liked that we saw a
• 18:54
Speaker 2: different version of La and Knight in this one, one
• 18:56
Speaker 2: that was trepidacious and I'm sure of himself all on
• 18:58
Speaker 2: the black miss from Knockamore the night before on SmackDown.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: Thought it was a good match in strong character development
• 19:03
Speaker 2: in this one for both stars. Your thoughts not to
• 19:05
  Speaker 2: try it.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: Was surprising the sense of like La Knight.
• 19:10
Speaker 4: Really it felt like Shinskey just dominated the match, like
• 19:13
Speaker 4: he had very few moments of hope spots or whatever
• 19:16
Speaker 4: you want to call him the business. It just it
• 19:18
Speaker 4: felt very one sighted, very dominant for Knackamor, which is
• 19:22
Speaker 4: a refreshing change from what we've seen from Knakamura in
• 19:26
Speaker 4: his booking over the past five years, you know, going
• 19:29
Speaker 4: all the way back to WrestleMania thirty seven against with
• 19:32
Speaker 4: a thirty seven against aj for the world title, Like
• 19:35
Speaker 4: that was the last time I felt like Knackamora was
• 19:37
Speaker 4: actually built kind of strong. Since then, it's been very
• 19:41
Speaker 4: very flat and at best. So the new character's cool.
• 19:45
Speaker 4: I haven't figured out if I dig the new theme
• 19:47
Speaker 4: song then you know the new more Samurai take on
• 19:51
Speaker 4: his theme song, because it might take me a little
• 19:53
Speaker 4: bit to get used to because we all love the
• 19:55
Speaker 4: old theme song. But the character looks good. The presentation
• 19:58
Speaker 4: looks good though it is. He's adapted some new moves
• 20:03
Speaker 4: into his arsenal that look far more vicious, So I
• 20:06
Speaker 4: like the new direction. I'm glad I was wrong in
• 20:09
Speaker 4: my prediction on this one, because you're absolutely right, like
• 20:11
Speaker 4: we need some more stronger, some heels that aren't in
• 20:14
Speaker 4: the bloodline on SmackDown.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: It takes away a little bit the luster.
• 20:17
Speaker 4: Vlli I which because I felt like, I think we
• 20:19
Speaker 4: turn on the show a few weeks ago, I felt
• 20:21
Speaker 4: like it had kind of plateaued and been a little
• 20:23
Speaker 4: flat lately, so hey, this might tweak a few things
• 20:26
Speaker 4: as well, So shaking some things up with these characters
• 20:30
  Speaker 4: is good.
• 20:30
Speaker 2: I think it also shows you how the creative is
• 20:32
Speaker 2: different nowadays, because I think it was Vince led. We
• 20:35
Speaker 2: don't have a title change here, so I like that
• 20:37
Speaker 2: they're They're like, all right, we were invested in this,
• 20:39
Speaker 2: and we want to see him succeed as a heel
• 20:41
Speaker 2: because we need heels just like we do babyfaces as well.
• 20:45
Speaker 2: Next match here is bron Breaker defeating Seamus and Ludwig
• 20:50
Speaker 2: Kaiser in a triple threat match, retaining the w United
• 20:52
Speaker 2: w W Intercontinental Championship. We both had Seamus in this one.
• 20:57
Speaker 2: The fans are really behind Seamus finally becoming the Intercontinental
• 20:59
Speaker 2: chair up, and I think WWE really needs to start
• 21:01
Speaker 2: revving this up to capitalize on it. If I'm fantasy
• 21:04
Speaker 2: booking this, I think I would run this match back
• 21:06
Speaker 2: for either Saturday Nights main event or the raw Netflix debut,
• 21:09
Speaker 2: and I have Seamus win the Intercutital Championship. I don't
• 21:11
Speaker 2: think they're doing Saturday Night's main event now based on
• 21:13
Speaker 2: what we saw on Monday with Kaiser and a Breaker
• 21:16
Speaker 2: behind the scenes on the backstage area. I would then
• 21:19
Speaker 2: either have Shamus drop the title Leuwig Kaiser at the
• 21:21
Speaker 2: Royal Rumble or wait until rest Mainty forty one is
• 21:23
Speaker 2: I think Kaiser is the next young start to break
• 21:25
Speaker 2: out and this for a big twenty twenty five, while
• 21:28
Speaker 2: I would start teasing brown Breaker for some bigger main
• 21:31
Speaker 2: event level type matches in fews with some are already
• 21:34
Speaker 2: established top stars as he's to do for a big
• 21:36
Speaker 2: twenty twenty five, as well as for the match itself,
• 21:39
Speaker 2: this was a really good triple threat match. Not to
• 21:41
Speaker 2: tray your thoughts on this one.
• 21:42
Speaker 4: Yeah, I really enjoyed this match, and this goes to
• 21:45
Speaker 4: show you, like we talked about a weeks ago, this
• 21:47
Speaker 4: whole idea of booking bron Breaker as a tweeterer because
• 21:52
Speaker 4: his promos and his interests kind of baby Face, but
• 21:54
Speaker 4: he still wrestles kind of heal, Like this is the
• 21:56
Speaker 4: perfect spot to fit him in where you have a
• 21:58
Speaker 4: super over baby phase Seamus and a a spies heel
• 22:02
  Speaker 4: like Kaiser.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: This fits in really well.
• 22:04
Speaker 4: And you know, I love that you brought up, you know,
• 22:07
Speaker 4: potentially putting the belts on Kaiser because you kept hearing
• 22:10
Speaker 4: Corey Graves on commentary talk about how he's the next
• 22:13
Speaker 4: breakout star, like he's poised for a huge breakout and
• 22:16
Speaker 4: how underrated he is. But you know, for me, like
• 22:20
Speaker 4: I agree, like to me, like you do a match
• 22:23
Speaker 4: with Seamus and Breaker where you know, Seamus, if he loses,
• 22:26
Speaker 4: can never challenge for.
• 22:27
Speaker 1: The Inner Continental title. Again.
• 22:29
Speaker 4: WW loves those kind of stipulations that way Seamus finally
• 22:32
Speaker 4: goes over. We saw Breaker and Gunther teased a couple
• 22:36
Speaker 4: of months ago when we thought Breaker was going pure
• 22:38
Speaker 4: baby face when he shook hands with Jay Husso so
• 22:41
Speaker 4: there's that kind of back burner storytelling you can lay into.
• 22:44
Speaker 4: But I absolutely loved this match. I thought it was phenomenal.
• 22:46
Speaker 4: I thought it was hard hitting. So this right there
• 22:49
Speaker 4: that kind of made up for that first Woman's War
• 22:51
  Speaker 4: Games match.
• 22:52
Speaker 2: Next match here is gun Through defeating Damien priestser retained
• 22:55
Speaker 2: the World of aweight championship. We both had gun Through
• 22:56
Speaker 2: in this one. I like the technical, old school approach
• 22:59
Speaker 2: of this match by having gun Through focus on Damian
• 23:01
Speaker 2: priests injured shoulder, which is his m as someone who
• 23:05
Speaker 2: likes to pick apart their opponents. It seemed like Gunther
• 23:07
Speaker 2: started regaining his confidence throughout this match once the world
• 23:09
Speaker 2: champ noticed Damien Priese was injured, as there was blood
• 23:12
Speaker 2: in the water at that point. Finn's interference and guth
• 23:14
Speaker 2: Through taking him out and made me think there's a
• 23:16
Speaker 2: possibility for a triple threat match here and down the line,
• 23:19
Speaker 2: or even testing some of the waters with gun Through
• 23:21
Speaker 2: being a potential baby face. So we saw that carried
• 23:23
Speaker 2: over on Monday's Raw. It'll be Gunther versus Finn at
• 23:26
Speaker 2: Saturday night's main event for the Heavyweight Championship, and Guntherro's
• 23:30
Speaker 2: interactions with Dominic were gold like the crowd was laughing
• 23:34
Speaker 2: and having a good time. I enjoyed this one, Doctor Trey,
• 23:37
Speaker 2: your thoughts as gun Through retains.
• 23:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought it was a really good match.
• 23:41
  Speaker 4: I mean it wasn't you know, It's not a five
• 23:43
Speaker 4: stars not match to year quality, but you know, anytime
• 23:46
Speaker 4: you get Gunther and Priests in the ring, they're gonna
• 23:48
Speaker 4: have a good quality match.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: I like how both these guys work.
• 23:51
Speaker 4: I love the old school storytelling of you know, the
• 23:53
Speaker 4: old Anderson thing of finding a body part and working
• 23:56
Speaker 4: it and it paid off because you got that fan
• 23:59
Speaker 4: sympathy of time. Damien would sell the shoulder, that spot
• 24:01
Speaker 4: where Damie fell off the top to the floor leading
• 24:04
Speaker 4: to Finn coming out. I love that. It was so
• 24:07
Speaker 4: good the crowd thought he botched it, you know, and
• 24:11
Speaker 4: you saw that chance you know, you met, you f't
• 24:13
Speaker 4: up or whatever, But yeah, good storytelling. Gunther has surprisingly
• 24:19
Speaker 4: good comedic timing for a guy who's never shown that.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: So yeah, there is that.
• 24:23
Speaker 4: Possibility that he can go babyface. But I also do
• 24:26
Speaker 4: think that at some point Dom becomes a babyface and
• 24:29
Speaker 4: the crowd will eat it up because I think he's
• 24:32
Speaker 4: just you know, any anybody who comes out there with
• 24:34
Speaker 4: a mullet talking about chicken nuggets is going to be
• 24:36
Speaker 4: a fan favorite at some point. We saw it with
• 24:38
Speaker 4: The New Day and Pancakes for a long time, so yeah,
• 24:41
Speaker 4: it's it's it's laying the foundation kind of testing the
• 24:44
Speaker 4: waters on some things. It's also potential for you know,
• 24:47
Speaker 4: Finn to get a good singles push if they run
• 24:49
Speaker 4: that route as well, so.
• 24:50
Speaker 1: It'd be interesting where they go.
• 24:51
Speaker 4: But I thought it was a really really solid world
• 24:53
Speaker 4: title match, and we're gonna get more priests involved with
• 24:56
Speaker 4: Judgment Day, which you know, could be some good storytelling too,
• 24:59
Speaker 4: because for how many times we're gonna hear the name
• 25:01
Speaker 4: Edge mentioned ever since they got the trademark, you know, reinvigorated.
• 25:06
Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, I thought too on the whole Dom stuff,
• 25:10
Speaker 2: the backstage segment where Finn confronted gone through backstage. Did
• 25:14
Speaker 2: you see that on Raw Doctor Trey?
• 25:16
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 25:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, where Dom kept doing the two fingers, Yeah, and
• 25:20
Speaker 2: Gunthro would look at him. He would he would do
• 25:23
Speaker 2: the two on the side, and he would look at
• 25:24
Speaker 2: him and then eventually swatted the fingers and the crowd
• 25:26
Speaker 2: ate it up, and all I thought to myself, and
• 25:28
Speaker 2: then it carried over to the match. I was like,
• 25:30
Speaker 2: there's some natural chemistry between these guys that we should
• 25:33
Speaker 2: like potentially harp on.
• 25:35
Speaker 4: Then there's such polar opposites the characters. I mean, Don's
• 25:40
Speaker 4: kind of Dom's kind of a goofy, heel in a
• 25:42
Speaker 4: lot of ways and gun throughs so straight laced. I mean,
• 25:46
Speaker 4: this would be one of those weird pairings that if
• 25:48
Speaker 4: they put him together, it's you know, you could do
• 25:52
Speaker 4: you know, is Daniel Bryan and Kin in a lot
• 25:54
Speaker 4: of ways and you can see, you know, one person
• 25:57
Speaker 4: bring out a little bit more of the other person.
• 25:59
Speaker 4: So I think you even if you paired them up
• 26:01
Speaker 4: and did a weird reunification of the United or the
• 26:05
Speaker 4: League of Nations, oh god, I know it was a
• 26:09
Speaker 4: bad given, but they do like pairing weird. You know,
• 26:13
Speaker 4: it's like, oh, we're gonna have all these all these
• 26:15
Speaker 4: black guys together, We're gonna have all these foreign guys.
• 26:17
Speaker 4: No anyway, gunther Dom working together would be hilarious.
• 26:24
Speaker 2: I've heard that Gunther is a very funny guy find
• 26:27
Speaker 2: the scenes and has a very good personality, which is
• 26:29
Speaker 2: not the same thing that you see on the television obviously,
• 26:33
Speaker 2: So I would not be shocked if these two guys
• 26:35
Speaker 2: are buddies behind the scenes, because it was really good
• 26:37
Speaker 2: comedic timing by both of them. So that's suff that
• 26:40
Speaker 2: people like when it's natural and like, holy shit, there's
• 26:42
Speaker 2: something here. And then finally, the main event Roman, Range,
• 26:45
Speaker 2: ju So, Jimmy us So, Samy's and and Seampunk defeats Soloska, Jacobato, Tamatunga, Tunga,
• 26:50
Speaker 2: Low and Bronson read in the men's war Games match,
• 26:52
Speaker 2: and both Dot Trey and I had the o G
• 26:54
Speaker 2: Bloodline winning this one. The storytelling this match was a masterclass,
• 26:57
Speaker 2: with a ton of moving parts and participants. The evolution
• 27:00
Speaker 2: and growth of the chapters from the Bloodline story or
• 27:02
Speaker 2: some of the best stuff I've ever seen in wrestling.
• 27:04
Speaker 2: The end with the OG Bloodline and Cmpunk surrounding Solo
• 27:07
Speaker 2: Sako before they finish the match, and Roman stretching out
• 27:09
Speaker 2: his arms to embrace Solo, only for Solo to have
• 27:12
Speaker 2: one last defiant moment before first considering the gesture was
• 27:16
Speaker 2: really well done and reminded me of something you would
• 27:18
Speaker 2: see like during a Star Wars movie. The Roman raids
• 27:20
Speaker 2: Cempunk interactions and what the favor is now has me
• 27:23
Speaker 2: really intrigued with where things are going. You would think
• 27:26
Speaker 2: the storyline reached its climax, but Michael Cole finished off
• 27:29
Speaker 2: the pl by mentioning that Solo is still in possession
• 27:31
Speaker 2: of the Ulafalla, which makes him the tribal chief. Still,
• 27:34
Speaker 2: I'm really interested to see where all of this goes,
• 27:36
Speaker 2: especially with where Jay Us, Sammy z Ay and Bronson
• 27:38
Speaker 2: read Cempunk and all the folks on the outside of
• 27:40
Speaker 2: the storyline go from here. This is a fun match,
• 27:43
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey. Your thoughts on this one, Yeah.
• 27:46
  Speaker 1: Really really fun.
• 27:48
Speaker 4: I love that they get the storyline going, just the
• 27:52
Speaker 4: intricacies of the moving parts inside the cage that they
• 27:55
Speaker 4: would show where like one guy goes a step out,
• 27:57
Speaker 4: no no no not you him, no no no not.
• 28:00
Speaker 4: I love that stuff where the favor falls in because,
• 28:04
Speaker 4: especially like Punk's promo on Monday Night, kind of he
• 28:08
Speaker 4: already kind of knows where he's going.
• 28:09
Speaker 1: So like, all that.
• 28:10
Speaker 4: Stuff was so good, just really good storytelling, a really
• 28:13
Speaker 4: fun war games match.
• 28:14
  Speaker 1: I don't know about you.
• 28:16
  Speaker 4: I don't know if I put this above last year's,
• 28:20
Speaker 4: but it's really really close because this bloodline story is
• 28:23
Speaker 4: still so damn good.
• 28:24
Speaker 2: Oh it's amazing. I absolutely love it, and it just
• 28:27
Speaker 2: reminds me of stuff that you see in movies. So
• 28:31
Speaker 2: really enjoyable stuff, fun, fun, fun show. I'm getting emotional
• 28:36
Speaker 2: thinking about it. Pay per View Prediction Records. I went
• 28:39
Speaker 2: three and two. Doctor Trey went two and three. I'm
• 28:41
Speaker 2: one forty two and forty one. Doctor Trey is one
• 28:43
Speaker 2: twenty eight and fifty five. Match of the night and
• 28:46
Speaker 2: event rating. I gave Wargames a solid four point zero
• 28:50
Speaker 2: and my match the night was Men's Wargames match Doctor Trey.
• 28:54
Speaker 1: I went three point eight in Men's Wargame for me
• 28:56
  Speaker 1: as well.
• 28:57
Speaker 4: By the way, on the predictions, I think at this point,
• 28:59
Speaker 4: like we don't have much left in the year, and
• 29:02
  Speaker 4: you're smoking me, I think I just I'll let you
• 29:04
Speaker 4: go first, and all these predictions coming out for the
• 29:06
Speaker 4: rest of the year, and I'm just gonna pick the opposite.
• 29:08
Speaker 4: So either you're gonna completely smoke me by the end
• 29:10
Speaker 4: of the year or that's my That's gonna be my
• 29:12
Speaker 4: methodology for trying to catch up.
• 29:14
Speaker 2: You just don't want to have fun. You don't want
• 29:15
Speaker 2: to have fun with it.
• 29:15
Speaker 1: If you want to, I will come up.
• 29:18
Speaker 4: Look, I will fantasy book this to where you guys
• 29:20
Speaker 4: are believing that I'm gonna that I my prediction is
• 29:23
  Speaker 4: actually true.
• 29:24
Speaker 2: So what's roll my friend? With that said, feel free
• 29:28
Speaker 2: to chime in at Estra to You podcast on x
• 29:30
Speaker 2: or Facebook dot com. Slash stile routa show keeping with
• 29:33
Speaker 2: the we Doctor Trey. There was a very what I
• 29:36
Speaker 2: think will go down as a memorable moment here on
• 29:39
Speaker 2: this past Monday's edition of Raw, we had the New
• 29:41
Speaker 2: Day celebrating ten years one of the most established and
• 29:44
Speaker 2: decorated tag teams and professional wrestling history in the modern era.
• 29:49
Speaker 2: And during that segment where they've been teasing dissension between
• 29:53
Speaker 2: Biggie and excuse me, excuse Koche Kingston and Xavier Woods,
• 29:56
Speaker 2: Biggie makes a return. They kicked Biggie out and now
• 30:00
Speaker 2: they are aligned together e Xavier and Kofe at kinkson
• 30:03
Speaker 2: as heels. What did you think of the segment and
• 30:07
Speaker 2: is there hope that maybe Biggie's career is not over yet?
• 30:11
Speaker 1: So a couple of things for me on this one.
• 30:14
Speaker 1: The segment is self.
• 30:15
Speaker 4: The ring segment I thought was really good and it
• 30:19
Speaker 4: got emotional, it got a little touching. I mean, just
• 30:21
Speaker 4: the acting from all three of these guys was really
• 30:24
Speaker 4: well done. I don't like that they kind of shot
• 30:27
Speaker 4: gunned it into one segment though. If we had seen
• 30:30
Speaker 4: some Biggie interaction the last week or two trying to
• 30:35
Speaker 4: keep the peace to lead up to Biggie coming out saying, hey,
• 30:38
Speaker 4: I will be with you guys, side by side, and
• 30:40
Speaker 4: then that led into it. I probably would have ate
• 30:42
Speaker 4: it up little bit more, but this is the most
• 30:45
Speaker 4: logical way to get Kofe over as a heel. Xavier
• 30:48
Speaker 4: Woods could be a heel, and I think the people
• 30:50
Speaker 4: would eat that up. Kofe is so well liked I
• 30:53
Speaker 4: really outside of what when A New Day first got together,
• 30:57
Speaker 4: is the only time I could think of Kofe being
• 30:59
Speaker 4: a heel on the main roster, Like, that's the only
• 31:02
Speaker 4: way you could probably get Kofe over as a heal
• 31:05
Speaker 4: is for him to side with Woods and turn their
• 31:07
Speaker 4: back on an injured Biggie. And look, I love the
• 31:10
Speaker 4: fact that they referenced all the previous neck injuries. I
• 31:13
Speaker 4: love the fact that, you know, Woods brought up his
• 31:16
Speaker 4: his achilles injury and all these things, and Biggie's still
• 31:18
Speaker 4: not back. I didn't realize it'd been four years since
• 31:21
Speaker 4: Biggie had been back. I mean, that was I didn't
• 31:23
Speaker 4: realize it's been that long. But yeah, I'm hopeful that
• 31:27
Speaker 4: it's not the end of Biggie's career because Biggie on
• 31:29
Speaker 4: the mic in that ring was so good, Like you
• 31:31
Speaker 4: forget how just entertaining and naturally charismatic he is at
• 31:36
Speaker 4: times because we don't get to see it that often anymore,
• 31:40
Speaker 4: it does lend hope that we might get Biggie back.
• 31:43
Speaker 4: And by the way, the stuff on social media as
• 31:45
Speaker 4: well has been really entertaining, with Woods taking shots at
• 31:48
Speaker 4: Biggie's girlfriend as well in her cooking. So just really
• 31:53
Speaker 4: really good storytelling. I just wish it had been stretched
• 31:55
Speaker 4: out just a little bit to lead into that.
• 31:59
Speaker 2: So where do we go from here? In your mind?
• 32:01
Speaker 2: Is what is your thoughts? Is this just something that
• 32:03
Speaker 2: they were able to get rid of Biggie and now
• 32:05
Speaker 2: they're going to be heels, or do we think Biggie
• 32:07
Speaker 2: makes an n ring return here sooner rather than later.
• 32:10
Speaker 2: Is this something we could look at for a WrestleMania match.
• 32:13
Speaker 1: Possibly, But then, like I mean, I don't know, it
• 32:16
Speaker 1: is one of these things.
• 32:17
Speaker 4: It's it's kind of like, you know, and Shawn Michaels
• 32:19
Speaker 4: came back, like, if you're going to come back, you
• 32:21
Speaker 4: want to be in the ring with somebody you love
• 32:22
Speaker 4: and trust, you know, And we've seen that with other
• 32:25
Speaker 4: guys when they've come back, like their first match back
• 32:28
Speaker 4: as usually with somebody that they know is going to
• 32:30
Speaker 4: take care of them in the Ring, I we really
• 32:33
Speaker 4: have never gotten any clarity recently on Biggie's injury. We
• 32:36
Speaker 4: heard Biggie talk about he's been getting X rays and
• 32:39
Speaker 4: scans and tests and everything else done. Right now, I
• 32:43
Speaker 4: just think that this was the only way to get
• 32:45
Speaker 4: the New Day over as heels. So I think it's
• 32:48
Speaker 4: kind of a one off for now and just kind
• 32:50
Speaker 4: of pending if Biggie can come back, because, like I said,
• 32:54
Speaker 4: I don't know else you make Kofi a heel other
• 32:58
Speaker 4: than to turn his back on Biggie. He's so well
• 33:02
Speaker 4: liked and people still remember Kofe Madia and all the
• 33:05
Speaker 4: feel good stuff there.
• 33:06
Speaker 1: It's he was one of the hardest.
• 33:07
Speaker 4: Guys I could picture turning heel, and I think they
• 33:10
Speaker 4: pulled it off with this angle because of how sympathetic
• 33:13
Speaker 4: big Eie situation is.
• 33:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting. It's definitely one or both ways, right.
• 33:19
Speaker 2: I think it's something that leads to Biggie coming back,
• 33:22
Speaker 2: or this was their way of kind of putting an
• 33:24
Speaker 2: end to the New Day chapter, which is interesting because
• 33:27
Speaker 2: they in interviews would be similar to like the guys
• 33:29
Speaker 2: in the Shield that were like, we never wanted to
• 33:31
Speaker 2: break up, We didn't want to change characters. Then they
• 33:33
Speaker 2: did it. I think it's a move that they needed
• 33:35
Speaker 2: to do for their careers at this point, Doctor Dre.
• 33:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they've I mean Woods has talked about
• 33:41
Speaker 4: like wanting to be heal, like he's talked about it,
• 33:44
Speaker 4: but Koffee's always just been kind of like, hey, whatever
• 33:46
Speaker 4: they need me to do, like I'm happy doing this. Plus,
• 33:48
Speaker 4: you guys got to look at it if when you
• 33:50
Speaker 4: go heal, you're gonna lose money because your merch sales
• 33:53
Speaker 4: are going to go down. So you have to have
• 33:56
Speaker 4: if you're gonna do something like this for especially for
• 33:58
Speaker 4: a team like The New Day that basically baby faces
• 34:00
Speaker 4: the last nine and a half years or nine years
• 34:03
Speaker 4: out of this whole run, Like you're gonna take a
• 34:06
Speaker 4: little bit of a financial hit by doing this, So
• 34:07
Speaker 4: you gotta have some promises that, hey, if we do
• 34:11
Speaker 4: this and we do go heal and we do fresh
• 34:13
Speaker 4: of the characters, you know, we got to get a
• 34:15
Speaker 4: push out of me. If the New Day goes heal
• 34:17
Speaker 4: and they just keep getting they start they continue losing
• 34:20
Speaker 4: what was the purpose the purpose of them turning.
• 34:23
Speaker 1: So I'm sure they have some assurances. I'm looking just
• 34:26
Speaker 1: to see how refreshed this is.
• 34:27
Speaker 4: Because Xavier's so good on the microphone, and you know
• 34:30
Speaker 4: we've talked about on the show years ago with having
• 34:33
  Speaker 4: multiple PhDs.
• 34:34
Speaker 1: He's so fantastic he.
• 34:35
Speaker 4: Can he can lure somebody in with such a good
• 34:38
Speaker 4: story on the microphone that he's the perfect kind of
• 34:41
Speaker 4: heal in this sense, it was just kind of getting
• 34:44
Speaker 4: KOFE to go along with it and get the crowd
• 34:46
Speaker 4: to boom both of them, which is why I think
• 34:48
Speaker 4: the tension they had teased for so long was kind
• 34:50
Speaker 4: of working and putting them at a crossroads.
• 34:53
Speaker 2: Switching gears here, Doctor Trey with potentially losing money and
• 34:57
Speaker 2: feel friend of chime me on your thoughts in regards
• 34:59
Speaker 2: to the new hit us up on Twitter at SRT
• 35:02
Speaker 2: podcast is AW. I feel like we need to have
• 35:08
Speaker 2: a discussion here about how we approach AW coverage in
• 35:13
Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. And I have a whole bunch of
• 35:16
Speaker 2: data that I want to bring up. And I saw
• 35:20
Speaker 2: the viewership for last night's Dynamite and like this either
• 35:23
Speaker 2: even furthers it more for me. Last Night's Dynamite got
• 35:27
Speaker 2: five hundred and eighty six thousand viewers. It was a
• 35:30
Speaker 2: solid episode, was a fine episode, but that is I mean,
• 35:33
Speaker 2: they are tanking right now. I don't even know if
• 35:37
Speaker 2: there was anything on that would like steer people away
• 35:40
Speaker 2: from not watching AW. I mean, this is something that
• 35:42
Speaker 2: was generally getting eight hundred thousand views and now is
• 35:46
Speaker 2: getting five hundred eighty six thousand. This is also coming
• 35:48
Speaker 2: off and granted it was Saturday at four pm Eastern
• 35:51
Speaker 2: and also Saturday night at six o'clock, you're going up
• 35:53
Speaker 2: against NXT excuse me, WRS series Wargames, and they got
• 35:59
Speaker 2: like one hundred forty four thousand viewers for Collision and
• 36:03
Speaker 2: like one hundred and twenty four thousand viewers for Rampage.
• 36:05
Speaker 2: I'm like, this is this is bad. This is really bad.
• 36:09
Speaker 2: But what it all started with was an interview that
• 36:11
Speaker 2: Bill Simmons did with Matt Beloney back in November twenty
• 36:15
Speaker 2: second for the Bill Simmons Podcast, and they were talking
• 36:18
Speaker 2: about Warner Brothers, Discovery Sports, Right Values, and Brandon Thurston,
• 36:22
Speaker 2: who is who's huge on X he has Russell Nomis
• 36:27
Speaker 2: shared it pointed out how they mentioned in the interview
• 36:30
Speaker 2: of the arrow has been pointing down for AAW, which
• 36:33
Speaker 2: Bill Simmons referred to as the discount WWE, and they
• 36:37
Speaker 2: talk about AW and their struggles and the Warner Brothers
• 36:40
Speaker 2: getting all the stuff with the sports right media rights
• 36:43
Speaker 2: that they had, you know, the lost NBA and getting
• 36:46
Speaker 2: AW and what have you. And Thurston shares this data
• 36:50
Speaker 2: to back it up. And in twenty twenty four year
• 36:53
Speaker 2: to date, which was November twenty second versus twenty twenty
• 36:57
Speaker 2: three as of the same week for Dynamite, there were
• 37:00
Speaker 2: been a seventeen percent drop in viewership, nineteen percent drop
• 37:04
Speaker 2: in demo. He went through cord cutting to address that argument,
• 37:11
Speaker 2: and he went through the filings for MVPDs and estimated
• 37:14
Speaker 2: others traditional PATV is down about five percent to six
• 37:18
Speaker 2: percent lar largely offset by alternatives like YouTube TV. But
• 37:22
Speaker 2: even if we just go with traditional carriers negative twelve percent,
• 37:24
Speaker 2: less negative than the Delta's above. In the previous statistic
• 37:28
Speaker 2: that I shared, he showed from wrestle Tics average tickets
• 37:32
Speaker 2: outs twenty twenty four year today versus twenty twenty three,
• 37:35
Speaker 2: Dynamite was down twenty six percent thirty seven hundred from
• 37:39
Speaker 2: five thousand the year previous collision, down thirty eight percent
• 37:43
Speaker 2: twenty six hundred from forty two hundred to the year previous.
• 37:48
Speaker 2: And I have been thinking about this for some time
• 37:51
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey and I don't expect an answer potentially on
• 37:54
Speaker 2: this podcast, but we're gonna have a production meeting on
• 37:56
Speaker 2: the air. I mean, this is getting close to the
• 37:59
Speaker 2: point where it's like, do we really want to cover
• 38:02
Speaker 2: AW as regularly as we want to or do presently
• 38:08
Speaker 2: versus what WWE is doing right now. And I think
• 38:10
Speaker 2: anybody's been a long time listener would say, well, you
• 38:12
Speaker 2: didn't give up one so easy, why would you do
• 38:15
Speaker 2: it for AW? And that is a very very fair point.
• 38:18
Speaker 2: But WWE is still getting one point five one point
• 38:21
Speaker 2: seven million viewers people on their YouTube page. It is
• 38:25
Speaker 2: usually between like two hundred thousand viewers two a million
• 38:28
Speaker 2: viewers AW. I went on their YouTube page, it's like
• 38:31
Speaker 2: sixty seven thousand viewers here, twenty thousand viewers there, and
• 38:34
Speaker 2: it's like, well, this is not good. And it reminds
• 38:37
Speaker 2: me of how I would look at TNA. I think
• 38:41
Speaker 2: as a wrestling fan. I've talked about this on the show.
• 38:43
  Speaker 2: If I didn't do a wrestling podcast, I don't think
• 38:47
Speaker 2: I would watch AW as regularly as I do, or
• 38:51
Speaker 2: as frequently, as I do. I would watch it on
• 38:53
Speaker 2: DVR and like when I had nothing else to do,
• 38:55
Speaker 2: or I would watch the YouTube recap videos. AW is
• 38:59
Speaker 2: is sinking right now, and I'm very saddened by this
• 39:02
Speaker 2: because there was a period of time where I remember,
• 39:04
Speaker 2: coming out of All Out twenty twenty one, I'm like,
• 39:06
  Speaker 2: I don't think I can cover WE anymore. I just
• 39:08
Speaker 2: want to cover AW and it's they've completely reversed course.
• 39:11
Speaker 2: I watched WE, we watched the og bloodline, blood Line
• 39:14
Speaker 2: two point zero, and it's riveting. You watch AW and
• 39:17
Speaker 2: it's boring. That Death Writer's storyline is boring. Mercedes mone
• 39:22
Speaker 2: is boring right now. There is intrigue there. I'm intrigued
• 39:26
Speaker 2: by the Hangman page J White, Orange Cassidy against the
• 39:30
Speaker 2: Death Riders stuff. I like the Continental Classic. I like
• 39:32
Speaker 2: the innering work, but it's like boring. And somebody pointed
• 39:36
Speaker 2: out that will Osprey came out for Collision and got
• 39:39
Speaker 2: like barely reaction, and eight months ago he was the
• 39:42
Speaker 2: loudest pop in the building, and I thought I was crazy.
• 39:47
Speaker 2: People were talking about how good they were from a
• 39:50
Speaker 2: storyline perspective, from like the beginning of the year, like
• 39:54
Speaker 2: Revolution time to all in, all out and it's completely
• 39:58
Speaker 2: fallen off a cliff since And it couldn't be more true.
• 40:01
Speaker 2: It's like they lack direction, they lack build. The matches
• 40:05
Speaker 2: are good, storylines are boring. Viewership is diminishing. And this
• 40:09
Speaker 2: is from a podcast perspective here, folks, like, if people
• 40:12
Speaker 2: are not tuning into AW, is it worth Doctor Trey's time,
• 40:16
Speaker 2: my time to talk about it regularly?
• 40:18
  Speaker 1: Here? Like?
• 40:19
Speaker 2: Are people tuning out when we preview and predict AW
• 40:22
Speaker 2: World's n in a couple of weeks? Are they tuning
• 40:24
Speaker 2: out when we do a recap on that pay per view?
• 40:27
Speaker 2: Do we look into twenty twenty five and just cover
• 40:31
Speaker 2: WWE pay per views and the occasional AW pay per view?
• 40:35
Speaker 2: This year, counting NXT deadline, Doctor Trey and I will
• 40:38
Speaker 2: have covered twenty eight pay per views. World's end will
• 40:41
Speaker 2: make it twenty nine. That is a record that's nearly
• 40:45
Speaker 2: one every episode of the year we're doing a preview,
• 40:48
Speaker 2: prediction or a recap of a pay per view. So
• 40:52
Speaker 2: it's a roundabout way of saying Doctor Trey is AW
• 40:56
Speaker 2: falling off a map where our listeners don't give a
• 40:58
Speaker 2: shit anymore, falling off the map where you and I
• 41:01
Speaker 2: don't give a shit anymore, and is it a sustainable
• 41:04
Speaker 2: wrestling promotion that we should be covering this regular this
• 41:07
Speaker 2: we do your thoughts.
• 41:10
Speaker 1: That's a lot to unpack in those data. So so
• 41:15
Speaker 1: I you know, the comparison to.
• 41:17
Speaker 4: What we did back in the day when TNA when
• 41:21
Speaker 4: they went to the Monday Night Wars for a little
• 41:23
Speaker 4: bit or you know, and they went live head to
• 41:26
Speaker 4: head and we were covering both shows and it kind
• 41:28
Speaker 4: of fell off a cliff shortly thereafter and we kind
• 41:31
Speaker 4: of stopped watching and it kind of dissipated us, and
• 41:34
Speaker 4: we got a lot of flak. I mean, you remember,
• 41:35
Speaker 4: we got a lot of flak for a little while
• 41:37
Speaker 4: about fans coming out like why aren't you covering TNA.
• 41:40
Speaker 4: It's like, well, there's nothing to cover. The show's awful
• 41:42
Speaker 4: and nobody's watching it, so why are we covering it?
• 41:46
Speaker 4: In a lot of way, you remember, like they were
• 41:48
Speaker 4: bragging that, like people were giving them crap because they
• 41:50
Speaker 4: drew a million viewers. Oh they only got a million.
• 41:53
Speaker 4: We're talking about a show it's only drawing five hundred thousand.
• 41:56
Speaker 4: So it is kind of in that weird realm. But
• 41:59
Speaker 4: the difference is there's so much money in this product,
• 42:03
Speaker 4: is kind of hard not to cover it because they're
• 42:05
Speaker 4: always going to make news. There's always gonna be something
• 42:08
Speaker 4: coming out about them, So it's it's a little bit
• 42:11
Speaker 4: different than TA Like when I watched the show, it
• 42:14
Speaker 4: just reminds me of playing a video game. Like the
• 42:15
Speaker 4: matches are fun to watch, but there's no depth, there's
• 42:19
  Speaker 4: nothing behind it.
• 42:20
Speaker 1: It's all it's all just uh sizzle. It's all sizzle
• 42:24
Speaker 1: and no steak. You know.
• 42:26
Speaker 4: It's It's great to watch if I if you like watching,
• 42:29
Speaker 4: if you're one of those people that love watching people
• 42:31
Speaker 4: play video games on YouTube, aw's for you. But for
• 42:35
Speaker 4: people like me and Jeff that like good television, it's
• 42:38
Speaker 4: not a great product to watch as a television show
• 42:41
Speaker 4: because I need a little more substance. I need the
• 42:44
Speaker 4: fact that, like The Death Writer, Angle should be really fun.
• 42:46
Speaker 4: But they like the people they are up against them
• 42:49
Speaker 4: is hang Man, Jay White and Orange Cassie. Well, hang
• 42:52
Speaker 4: Man and Jay White just been feuding for a while
• 42:54
Speaker 4: and there's no real reason, viable reason I watching this
• 42:57
Speaker 4: to see why they can be potentially up in this
• 43:01
Speaker 4: situation other than the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
• 43:04
Speaker 1: Like, I mean, there could be more depth to you.
• 43:07
Speaker 4: And once again it's also the top guys are not
• 43:11
Speaker 4: involved in the storyline to go up against the top
• 43:13
Speaker 4: eel faction, So why should I care?
• 43:16
Speaker 1: And if these are your top guys, they haven't been
• 43:19
Speaker 1: booked like top guys for a long time.
• 43:22
Speaker 4: Like's it's this is not like you know, Sina Orton
• 43:26
Speaker 4: and Batisa teaming up to take on the Shield, Like
• 43:28
Speaker 4: it's not on that level. This is like you know,
• 43:31
Speaker 4: Zach Ryder Kofi and you know Evan Bourne taking on
• 43:35
Speaker 4: the Shield in a lot of ways based on how
• 43:37
Speaker 4: the booking's been. So I am torn because no matter
• 43:43
Speaker 4: no matter what happens, because they're a billion dollar company,
• 43:46
Speaker 4: and because up until the merger they had more money
• 43:49
Speaker 4: than Vince, they're always gonna make news. There's always gonna
• 43:53
Speaker 4: be something out there about them. And we like we,
• 43:55
Speaker 4: you know, kind of comment off air about the whole
• 43:57
Speaker 4: you know, Ryan Nemeth stuff. I mean that made new
• 44:00
Speaker 4: Like they're going to make news, and if they make news,
• 44:02
Speaker 4: we kind of have to cover it. The great thing
• 44:04
Speaker 4: about TNA was once Hogan and Bischoff were gone, there
• 44:08
  Speaker 4: was no news.
• 44:09
Speaker 1: About them really out there. Other than just the wrestling product.
• 44:13
Speaker 4: So I think almost just because of the noise that
• 44:16
Speaker 4: they make and the noise that their diehards make, were
• 44:19
Speaker 4: almost obligated to cover it. But it's going to be
• 44:22
Speaker 4: like when your mom made liver and she told you
• 44:25
Speaker 4: you had to eat it or you wouldn't get a dessert.
• 44:28
Speaker 4: That's kind of how I feel about it right now.
• 44:30
Speaker 4: I feel like, AW is that liver that I have
• 44:32
Speaker 4: to eat in order for me to do a podcast
• 44:35
Speaker 4: talk about how great WWE is.
• 44:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you know, it's like, would you want
• 44:40
Speaker 2: to cover the pay per views as extensive? At least
• 44:43
Speaker 2: we do in twenty twenty five, right, there's still always
• 44:47
Speaker 2: going to be AW news. And the other thing that
• 44:50
Speaker 2: I'm having trouble with is, you know, say AW catches
• 44:53
Speaker 2: fire again, which they've done plenty of times, and it's like,
• 44:56
Speaker 2: do we not want to be covering the pay per
• 44:57
Speaker 2: views because they've been shit the last fourth five months?
• 45:01
  Speaker 2: I don't know. It's I feel like it's something that
• 45:03
Speaker 2: I want to throw out there with you, and I
• 45:05
Speaker 2: want our listeners to respond as well, like do you
• 45:07
Speaker 2: want to see THEAW coverage lesson? Do you want it
• 45:10
Speaker 2: to say the same do you want it to be
• 45:12
Speaker 2: more like where are we at with this?
• 45:14
Speaker 4: I mean, for us, one issue is the gd pay
• 45:18
Speaker 4: per views are so damn long. You know, we just
• 45:22
Speaker 4: covered a pay per view for WWE that we gave that.
• 45:24
Speaker 1: You gave a four to that.
• 45:25
Speaker 4: I gave it three point a two that had five matches, yeah,
• 45:29
Speaker 4: in and out, two and a half hours, three hours
• 45:31
Speaker 4: tops aw, fourteen matches, five hour shows like that. I
• 45:36
Speaker 4: mean that's not even count sometimes that's not even counting
• 45:39
Speaker 4: the pre show, Like, dear God, guys, like tone it
• 45:42
Speaker 4: down a little bit, but you know, you're right. And
• 45:45
Speaker 4: that's the other thing. Like we always comment though that
• 45:47
Speaker 4: typically their pay per views are really good. It's all
• 45:50
Speaker 4: the stuff getting to the pay per view that is
• 45:53
Speaker 4: kind of garbage. And it's like, if do I have
• 45:56
Speaker 4: to watch three shows that I'm going to dread watching
• 46:00
Speaker 4: each week to get to a pretty decent pay per view.
• 46:05
Speaker 4: If they just put on a little bit better television
• 46:06
Speaker 4: during the week, we wouldn't have a problem cover the
• 46:09
Speaker 4: pay per view. It's just all the garbage you have
• 46:12
Speaker 4: to sift through to get to a compelling pay per
• 46:14
Speaker 4: view is what kind of feels like a drain you
• 46:17
Speaker 4: know so, and you're right, like they could catch fire
• 46:20
Speaker 4: any moment. It just takes and I've talked about this
• 46:22
Speaker 4: for four years with this brand, it just takes one
• 46:26
Speaker 4: guy to catch fire and awlb be right back. They
• 46:30
Speaker 4: just they can't figure out who's the guy. Like there's
• 46:35
Speaker 4: no Austin, there's no scene it, there's no Kode, there's
• 46:37
Speaker 4: nobody that they're going that's our guy. This whole show
• 46:40
Speaker 4: is built around this guy, and we're gonna make the
• 46:42
Speaker 4: fans either love this guy or hate this guy, no ambivalence,
• 46:46
Speaker 4: pick one side or the other. And we're gonna, for
• 46:48
Speaker 4: lack of a return, show him down your throat like
• 46:51
Speaker 4: the other company did with their top guys. They haven't
• 46:54
Speaker 4: done that, and that's one of the reasons they're in
• 46:56
Speaker 4: that situation they're in now.
• 47:00
Speaker 2: I guess we're kind of in the same boat right now,
• 47:02
Speaker 2: doctor Trey, where I think we may be leaning towards
• 47:04
Speaker 2: potentially not covering them as extensively as we did in
• 47:07
Speaker 2: twenty twenty five when it comes to like the pay
• 47:08
Speaker 2: per views and recaps and what have you.
• 47:11
Speaker 4: I mean, maybe we just cut the predictions down, like
• 47:13
Speaker 4: we just kind of decide on like what six matches
• 47:16
Speaker 4: on the show, we're going to do predictions on instead
• 47:18
  Speaker 4: of doing fourteen. I mean, I don't I don't really
• 47:21
Speaker 4: know how to that's the issue. I don't really know
• 47:23
Speaker 4: how to cut it back.
• 47:25
Speaker 2: Well, I don't think you ignore the the riview happen,
• 47:27
Speaker 2: but maybe you like, hey, did you watch Full Gear?
• 47:30
Speaker 2: Like what were the things that set out to you?
• 47:32
Speaker 2: And that's the conversation rather than match by match.
• 47:35
Speaker 1: I haven't watched the episode Dynamite in like two months.
• 47:38
  Speaker 2: See that's what I'm saying, Like, I think it's getting
• 47:40
Speaker 2: to the point where, you know, outside of them maybe
• 47:43
Speaker 2: being noteworthy of the Ryan nemmath stuff for this week, right,
• 47:45
Speaker 2: that's a big story, but like being extensive on the
• 47:50
Speaker 2: same level as WW right now for pay per views
• 47:52
Speaker 2: and stuff like that. Pls. It's mean in twenty twenty five,
• 47:56
Speaker 2: it's it's different. Maybe this this World's end is is
• 48:00
Speaker 2: potentially the end of pay per for your coverage for
• 48:02
Speaker 2: AW on our show.
• 48:03
Speaker 4: I mean maybe in twenty twenty five, starting in January,
• 48:05
Speaker 4: we just put them on a prove it scale, Like look,
• 48:07
Speaker 4: if you guys, if it turns around, we'll go back
• 48:10
Speaker 4: to covering it as much as we do, but until
• 48:12
Speaker 4: you guys show us something like once the end, Like
• 48:16
Speaker 4: why am I gonna waste my time with something that's
• 48:18
Speaker 4: always gonna disappoint me?
• 48:20
  Speaker 1: You know?
• 48:21
Speaker 2: That's the thing is, It's like we could be doing
• 48:24
Speaker 2: so much other stuff right than watching aw product. I mean,
• 48:27
Speaker 2: ramp Page is boring, Collision is boring. Dynamite and has
• 48:31
Speaker 2: had is always a show that we have felt like delivers.
• 48:34
Speaker 2: Collision has their moments. It's just look, I love I
• 48:39
  Speaker 2: love this.
• 48:40
Speaker 4: You've been my site, You've been my partner for a
• 48:42
Speaker 4: decade and a half. I give you all the props
• 48:46
Speaker 4: in the world for actually watching Collision at Rampage.
• 48:48
Speaker 2: I'll do it, man.
• 48:49
Speaker 4: I was like, I admire you and respect you for
• 48:53
Speaker 4: getting I tuned out of those two shows a year ago,
• 48:57
Speaker 4: like I was literally just watching Dynamite, And then the
• 49:00
Speaker 4: last two months I've had to give up on Dynamite
• 49:02
Speaker 4: and I've just been watching YouTube highlights in recaps and
• 49:05
Speaker 4: then just trying to get to the pay per views.
• 49:08
Speaker 2: And my week would be a little bit more free
• 49:09
Speaker 2: if we didn't cover it as extensively.
• 49:13
Speaker 4: So and you can't blame Luke guys, guys, I know
• 49:15
Speaker 4: you guys are listening going, oh, Jeff has a kid.
• 49:17
Speaker 1: No, it's not Luke. It literally is the product.
• 49:19
Speaker 2: No, the product sucks, it really does it. It's not good.
• 49:23
Speaker 2: It's really not good. And it's unlike, this is boring.
• 49:26
Speaker 2: It's it has its moments, but overall it's boring.
• 49:30
  Speaker 1: It really is.
• 49:30
Speaker 2: Feel free to check man. We definitely want to hear
• 49:32
Speaker 2: from you guys at Assart to You podcast on xor
• 49:34
Speaker 2: Facebook dot com, slash a Realta show. Let's get to
• 49:38
Speaker 2: this Saturday's pay per view Doctor Trey NX Deadline preview
• 49:41
Speaker 2: predictions from the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Doctor Tray
• 49:44
Speaker 2: has asked me to go first for every single one
• 49:46
Speaker 2: because he will do the opposite. So I will start here.
• 49:50
Speaker 2: NXC Underground Match. I've got Lolavice, Doctor Trey. I've got
• 49:53
Speaker 2: the other person, Jada Parker low of Ice versus Jada Parker.
• 49:57
Speaker 2: Nathan Frazer and Axiom defending against the North No Quarter
• 50:00
Speaker 2: Ketch Crew Miles Bourne and Tavion Heights for the NXC
• 50:03
Speaker 2: Tag Team Championship. I'm going to go with No Quarter
• 50:05
Speaker 2: Catch Crew. However, if Nathan Fraser an Axiom win, Doctor Trey,
• 50:09
Speaker 2: I actually think they may be one of the top
• 50:11
Speaker 2: favorites for Tag Team of the Year for End of
• 50:13
  Speaker 2: the Year show.
• 50:14
Speaker 1: And see this one here.
• 50:15
Speaker 4: I love this because Party really wants to pick the
• 50:19
Speaker 4: No Quarter Catch Crew, because you got Charlie Demse, you
• 50:22
Speaker 4: got the William Regal factor lingering in the background. I
• 50:25
Speaker 4: would really want to pick them, but actually Nathan Fraser.
• 50:27
Speaker 4: Every time I have picked against them, they have won,
• 50:31
Speaker 4: So I'm going to pick them plus Nathan Fraser Rocket
• 50:35
  Speaker 4: City Alumni.
• 50:36
Speaker 2: Next match year is Trick Williams defending the NXC Championship
• 50:39
Speaker 2: against Ridge Holland. I'm going with Trick Williams.
• 50:43
Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with Ridge Holland because as much as
• 50:45
  Speaker 4: I like Trick, he's still very green and I don't
• 50:48
Speaker 4: think this win has elevated him at all. I think
• 50:51
Speaker 4: putting the title on Ridge would actually really help establish
• 50:54
Speaker 4: another top heel on the brand, and then you kind
• 50:57
Speaker 4: of even it out with between Heath and Page, Ridge
• 50:59
Speaker 4: Holland and the soon to returning Obafemi. Uh kind of
• 51:03
Speaker 4: evens things out. So I'm gonna take rich Holland because
• 51:05
Speaker 4: you can't take down a university and not win the title.
• 51:10
Speaker 2: Next match here, Sol Rukas, Stephanie vak Kor, Zaria Julian
• 51:14
Speaker 2: ren Sinclair, and the Women's aront Survivor Challenge match the
• 51:16
Speaker 2: term of the number one contender for the NXC Women's
• 51:18
Speaker 2: Championship at New Year's Evil. I have Julia in this one,
• 51:21
  Speaker 2: Doctor Trey.
• 51:22
Speaker 4: I'm gonna take Stephanie Vacor. Then is that she's She's
• 51:25
Speaker 4: in the mattress, She's in the match. She is have
• 51:27
Speaker 4: a lot of names there. I do like Julia, I
• 51:30
Speaker 4: love her energy and everything else. But I just like
• 51:32
Speaker 4: how rugged and tough Stephanie Vakor is, and I think
• 51:36
Speaker 4: she's kind of the forgotten person out of these new
• 51:39
Speaker 4: recruits coming in. I think everybody's focusing on Julia. I
• 51:41
Speaker 4: think Stephanie va Kor is a great pick to go
• 51:44
Speaker 4: with here. And then you stay save Julia for whard
• 51:47
Speaker 4: you get closer to Rumble or WrestleMania.
• 51:50
Speaker 2: And then finally, the Men's I Survivor Challenge matches determined
• 51:53
Speaker 2: the number one contender for the NXC Men's Championship at
• 51:55
Speaker 2: New Year's Evil. It's wes Lee, Javian Evans, Nathan Fraser,
• 52:00
Speaker 2: Ethan Page, and Eddie Thorpe. For now, I guess Eddie Thorpe.
• 52:03
Speaker 2: For now, I am gonna take wes Lee, Doctor Trey.
• 52:07
Speaker 1: Is this because every time you pick against wes Lee
• 52:09
  Speaker 1: he wins.
• 52:10
Speaker 2: That is that you're reasoning every time I pick against
• 52:12
  Speaker 2: him he loses.
• 52:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, So, well, since I picked Ridge Holland to win
• 52:17
Speaker 4: the nixtys title, I gotta pick a baby face to
• 52:19
Speaker 4: win this. So I'm gonna take Jabon Evans because once
• 52:24
Speaker 4: again local guy, A lot of my friends know him,
• 52:26
Speaker 4: and then b he would be a great first challenger
• 52:29
Speaker 4: for Ridge Hanks. I don't think anybody thinks he's ready
• 52:31
Speaker 4: to win the Sea Championship, but he could be very
• 52:34
Speaker 4: similar baby face for Ridge to get his first victory over.
• 52:37
Speaker 1: So I'll take Jamie on Evans. There you go.
• 52:40
Speaker 2: There's our preview predictions for NXC Deadline this Saturday on Peacock.
• 52:45
Speaker 2: With that said, yes, doctor Trey, I.
• 52:47
Speaker 1: Said, I'm going oh for the entire show.
• 52:49
Speaker 2: But you imagine if you go five and h like
• 52:51
Speaker 2: you are never again picking the same person as me.
• 52:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, well that would that would require That would means
• 52:55
Speaker 4: that you went probably like two because at least the
• 52:58
Speaker 4: Iron Survivoran Challenge, there's the possibility that neither of us
• 53:01
Speaker 4: get those matches correct, true, so, but everything else we
• 53:04
Speaker 4: might go like you know, split there.
• 53:06
Speaker 1: So I might go oh and three, you go three
• 53:07
Speaker 1: and oh, but then we miss those.
• 53:09
Speaker 4: But yeah, if I go five and oh, just by
• 53:11
Speaker 4: being an a hole and picking against you, I will
• 53:13
Speaker 4: get a T shirt made saying that I am the
• 53:15
  Speaker 4: brown eyed bastard.
• 53:17
Speaker 2: There you go, stay tuned, folks, and then let's see
• 53:21
Speaker 2: a couple of plugs and sponsors out of the way.
• 53:22
Speaker 2: You can do only show every Thursday or Friday at

• 53:54
Speaker 4: have a big show coming up this Saturday. It's our
• 53:57
Speaker 4: nine year anniversary show. It also puts us about a
• 54:00
Speaker 4: month out from the Rocket City Rumble, which is usually
• 54:02
Speaker 4: our second biggest show of the year. Uh so we're
• 54:05
Speaker 4: gonna have a bunch of people coming in for that. Also,
• 54:09
Speaker 4: go check out my boy Chase Owens. He's over in
• 54:11
Speaker 4: Japan again right now, so that's one of my one
• 54:13
Speaker 4: He's actually becoming a really good friend of mine.
• 54:15
Speaker 1: By the way, Jeff, did you check out the other
• 54:16
Speaker 1: show I did, the Rejects podcast I did. I did.
• 54:19
Speaker 1: It was very good man, Thank you, thank you.
• 54:21
Speaker 4: I got some good feedback on it, other than people going.
• 54:24
Speaker 1: You look like I was in a cave.
• 54:25
Speaker 4: I looked like I was doing like a an Isis
• 54:28
Speaker 4: video because the graininess of my camera at times. But
• 54:31
Speaker 4: that's just when you have real internet access that sometimes
• 54:34
Speaker 4: those things don't work.
• 54:34
  Speaker 1: Out very well.
• 54:35
Speaker 2: No, no, no, not at all. So I know you
• 54:38
Speaker 2: had some you had some issues there and for a
• 54:40
  Speaker 2: little bit, right.
• 54:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just when you're when you're having to work
• 54:43
Speaker 4: kind of off either like a hot spot or like
• 54:46
Speaker 4: a you know, a five G signal with the camera
• 54:49
Speaker 4: and you have four connections running in at one time,
• 54:51
Speaker 4: it can get a little sketchy at best. But but
• 54:55
Speaker 4: Chris the host of that show, great friend of mine,
• 54:57
Speaker 4: he actually just had surgery, Like he had surgery like
• 55:00
Speaker 4: three days after we.
• 55:01
  Speaker 1: Did that show.
• 55:02
Speaker 4: More powerful best pushes to him like he had a
• 55:06
Speaker 4: gastric sleeve surgery. Because I love the guy, but he
• 55:09
Speaker 4: got to three hundred and eighty pounds, so you looking.
• 55:11
  Speaker 1: Out for himself.
• 55:12
Speaker 4: He's got kids and a great wife and just one
• 55:16
Speaker 4: of my good one of my really really good friends.
• 55:18
Speaker 4: He's actually one of the first people in the wrestling
• 55:20
Speaker 4: business that it took a liking to good old doctor
• 55:22
Speaker 4: Trey because I could run my mouth pretty good.
• 55:25
