- 1:02Going on, what's going on, Johnny in the building tonight,
- 1:06you don't need it for a good treat tonight we get Johnny in
- 1:09the building. Johnny, go bring some heat and.
- 1:12He's got a he's got a screaming kid in the back.
- 1:16His kid sounds like he wants to RIP somebody's head off.
- 1:19And you know, Johnny's hair is all fluffed around.
- 1:22You know, he's like, he's just hanging out and enjoying the old
- 1:27quaff. As we all say, he definitely has
- 1:30a quaff. But yeah, so we call this Let's
- 1:33parlay. It's time for Les Parlay.
- 1:47So do we have Wes? Coming in I texted him to come
- 1:49back and he said he would have been ready in 5 minutes but I
- 1:52don't know, I guess he's still trying to deal with this kid.
- 1:54All right, so we got 2P Bears, so we'll go with Reno Johnny
- 1:59first. We'll get his top 4.
- 2:01As everybody knows, it's very simple.
- 2:03He's going to give you his top three picks for the week or the
- 2:07weekend and give you his fourth, which will be a parlay for you
- 2:11guys. Are you ready, Reno?
- 2:14Yeah, we ready. Couple things here.
- 2:16Got to get the kid ready. He's he's out there wrestling
- 2:18mom, so I'm going to tap her in here in a little bit.
- 2:21He's about to start playing soccer.
- 2:23So we got soccer, basketball, baseball.
- 2:25Football. We got to get him.
- 2:27Ready. You know, he's gonna be my kid.
- 2:29He's gonna be my kid. We don't have to play some
- 2:31sports. So yeah, look, I, I had, I think
- 2:35I have a redemption coming because I think last week I was
- 2:37off my game. Let's just put it this way.
- 2:40I'm going to take a game that already started and y'all know
- 2:43me, I, I'm not lying about it. I'm on the Knights.
- 2:45I know they're up one. Oh, I think the Knights have
- 2:47been the better team. But one thing about this game is
- 2:50if you look at Game 3 when they went to Anaheim, they were
- 2:54favored by -150 they lose that game and now you're looking at
- 2:58on the road, they're going to be a modest 110.
- 3:00So you're getting a bunch of value.
- 3:02But the Knights are the better team.
- 3:03They're doing it a little differently this year.
- 3:05It's not their defense or defense is actually kind of
- 3:07shaky. Their goaltending is not
- 3:09something I want to get behind. But their offense is is
- 3:11phenomenal. I think they're one of the
- 3:12better offenses in in the NHLI. Think the Anaheim Ducks are
- 3:15playing a little bit above their league.
- 3:17I like them to win this game and move on.
- 3:20I do think the Knights will get to the Stanley Cup Finals
- 3:24whether they win or not since as to be seen, but I do think they
- 3:28get to the to the the Western Cup finals.
- 3:30Why I I like them to win tonight. close it out tonight on
- 3:33the road. All right, Wes, give us your
- 3:35number one. I'm.
- 3:38Gonna layoff of tonight's game because Anaheim is already down
- 3:42by 1. But I, I did like that going in,
- 3:45but I'd be foolish. I'd be foolish to take it now
- 3:47while they're down. So I'm gonna I'm gonna so I'm
- 3:50going to I'm just going to go with both the NBA games for
- 3:53tomorrow. The first one the the first one
- 3:58I'm going to do tomorrow is I like San Antonio to close this
- 4:01thing out. I, I, it's Wendy came out
- 4:06possessed last night after the elbow after.
- 4:10I mean, he's, we all know his skill set is like something
- 4:14we've never seen for his size. But just looking at the way that
- 4:18he came out last night and the way that they just jumped right
- 4:21after them, I, I don't see Minnesota doing anything.
- 4:26But what scares me here is the the line hasn't moved and 75% of
- 4:32the tickets are on San Antonio. But the odd thing is I went back
- 4:38and looked most of the San Antonio games where their
- 4:41favorites by like more than two or three.
- 4:43That is the case. They the line doesn't move
- 4:46because big money just likes to fade them.
- 4:51They're not a very deep team. That's my only knock on them.
- 4:56If you believe in conspiracy, if you believe that the NBA is
- 5:00thirsty for a face, then you probably would.
- 5:02You'd probably put San Antonio in the Finals and have them
- 5:05taken out. OK, C that that would probably
- 5:07be the story that makes the most sense.
- 5:09But as far as tomorrow night goes, I'm going to lay the four
- 5:11and a half. I like the way that Dear and Fox
- 5:13has been contributing these last 2-3 games and I think this team
- 5:17just picked up a little bit of experience with Wenby getting
- 5:21thrown out early the other night.
- 5:23All right, Reno, give us your number 2.
- 5:26Can't argue with anything, W said.
- 5:27I do think the Spurs are the better team.
- 5:29I think the one knock with their with their depth is Minnesota's
- 5:33even less deep. I think that's why they're,
- 5:35that's why they. Can't take you seriously on that
- 5:37take because you're a Spurs fan, we all know that.
- 5:40Yeah, but I've made money betting against the Spurs.
- 5:43So look, I've, I've fanned the Spurs a lot this year and I've
- 5:48actually had good spots. I think when you look at depth,
- 5:50Minnesota's where they struggle. I'm going to take this game in a
- 5:54different way. I'm take the over the overs hit
- 5:56every game but the first game when it was 206 points, other
- 5:59than that game thread thing land on 2/17, it was 216 1/2.
- 6:03So that's overs been right around that number every single
- 6:06time. And ultimately it comes down to
- 6:09a pace. And I think ultimately what you,
- 6:12what I think is surprising is you see the Spurs not slowing it
- 6:15down. They are pushing that pace,
- 6:17which is probably not the best thing for Minnesota because
- 6:19they're going to try to match that.
- 6:20They just can't compete. They didn't get enough shot
- 6:22volume. The pace is going to go down.
- 6:24They can knock down some threes. I don't expect, I think the
- 6:27other night was like 4 points in the 1st 8 minutes of that game
- 6:30from Minnesota. I don't expect that at all.
- 6:32I think they're going to be a kind of a fast tempo game.
- 6:35The only issue here is if it's a blowout, which we saw last game,
- 6:39we had two and a half minutes where we needed, we needed the
- 6:42the, the bench bench to score like 6 points and they scored
- 6:45exactly like 8. So that's where we kind of get
- 6:48in trouble with the total. I'll take the over in San
- 6:50Antonio. All right, Mr. W, give us your
- 6:54number two. Yeah.
- 6:55I'm going to go to the early game tomorrow, the, the
- 6:59Cleveland and, and Detroit game. And I'm, I'm going to, I'm going
- 7:03to take Detroit, I'm going to take the, the points on that
- 7:06one. And it's not because I like
- 7:08Detroit as a team better than Cleveland.
- 7:09I do think Cleveland's going to close out this series, but I
- 7:11think it's going to take him seven games in order to do it.
- 7:14I, I just, I'm going to talk on the other side of my mouth
- 7:17tomorrow. I, my thought is I have trouble
- 7:21taking James Harden in a close out game.
- 7:25I think he'll have his, his soft game tomorrow and then he he
- 7:29might just kind of be middle of the road for a hardened
- 7:32performance. And Mobley is going to be who
- 7:34ends up taking out Detroit in Game 7.
- 7:37But tomorrow I like taking the points.
- 7:39Now whether or not Cleveland wins, that's irrelevant to me as
- 7:43as an investor here. 3 1/2 points with the line not moving
- 7:4863% of the tickets is on Cleveland at home.
- 7:51And this is an odd geography. Remember we're Michigan and
- 7:54we're Ohio these these these it's it's very easy travel.
- 7:59So I'm not saying that the homecourt advantage is canceling
- 8:04it out, but it's it's a lot more balanced than what you would see
- 8:08in some of these games like Minnesota, San Antonio, They
- 8:11have true home field advantage, but the driving distance between
- 8:14these two stadiums. But I just, I like taking the
- 8:17points. I really have had fun watching
- 8:19this series, but I'm taking 3 1/2 points.
- 8:21I think it's going to be a two or three-point game.
- 8:24All right, Reno, give us your #3.
- 8:26Yeah, you know, not afraid here to lay the points here with with
- 8:29Cleveland. I thought I was on see the money
- 8:30line. And in their last game at plus
- 8:32one 45150. Look, Cleveland's been the
- 8:35better team through this series. Even in the first two games,
- 8:38Cleveland was in earshot to win both of those games.
- 8:43Last game, I bet on the money line and I was like, damn it,
- 8:45the exact same thing happened as games one and two.
- 8:47They're in at the whole game. Detroit goes on a run on home,
- 8:51at home and it's over. But Cleveland showed a lot of
- 8:54resilience being able to go on an 11-O run, the 2 1/2 in the
- 8:58final 2 1/2 minutes to win to get it to overtime at the end
- 9:02when the game pulled away in overtime.
- 9:04This is a better team. I was not thrilled with Detroit
- 9:07even beating Orlando. I thought of Orlando for much of
- 9:10that series looked like the better team.
- 9:11They came back down three games to 1.
- 9:13This this series has mostly been dominated by the home team.
- 9:17Overall, though, I I can't even knock James Harden in this
- 9:20series outside of game two. He scored 19 points in in every
- 9:24other game he shot at least 38% from the field, including a
- 9:27couple times at 40 and 57% from the field.
- 9:30He's actually and and clutch situations has actually been the
- 9:35go to guy and making those shots.
- 9:37I do think we're going to see a Cleveland win.
- 9:39I do think that you just took the sales out of Detroit after
- 9:43they're being up by 9 points at home.
- 9:46You have the nest. Jenkins making his first start.
- 9:49The crowd is fired up and Cleveland still bounce back.
- 9:52I think Detroit has seen that their season is going to be over
- 9:57and I don't think they bounce back in this game.
- 9:59Lay the 3 1/2 points. Cleveland will win tomorrow in
- 10:01the blowout all. Right, Wes, give us your number.
- 10:033 This is a really strange 1 for me, but I am looking at a
- 10:08baseball game that just my algorithm spoke to me and I, I,
- 10:11I have some AI that monitors baseball for me and I'm looking
- 10:16at, I'm looking at Washington and Baltimore and I'm just just
- 10:21numbers, right? I, I, I would probably struggle
- 10:23to, to name 15 players in, in the entire MLB, but I'm looking
- 10:27at what I'm looking at Washington coming off of a 15 to
- 10:33one loss. OK, they're they're going to
- 10:35they're going to and that was on the road, They're going to stay
- 10:37home. So that's humiliation.
- 10:39Teams don't typically have two of those in a row in any sport.
- 10:43I'm sorry. But then you look at Baltimore,
- 10:46who is coming off of A7 to nothing win against the Yankees.
- 10:51So I'm going to take the home dogs and it's plus 1/20.
- 10:55I like I like Washington to to win this game.
- 10:58In fact, I'm going to play some some live action and some early
- 11:05inning action because I, I think that Washington's going to score
- 11:07some runs early. But me, it's just the classic
- 11:10coming off of a high, coming off of a low.
- 11:12We're looking at dead cat bounces.
- 11:14I'm going to take Washington and that.
- 11:16All right, Reno, give us your final pick of the night.
- 11:19We're going to hockey here and this is going to be a play
- 11:22straight on value and in baseball and MLB and in
- 11:27basketball, what I typically do in the playoffs is I will pick
- 11:29my horse and I will ride them till the wheels fall off.
- 11:33Buffalo in this series was who I was going to ride.
- 11:36I thought Buffalo was going to come in and win this series.
- 11:38If you look at Game 2, they probably should have won that
- 11:40game. All four Montreal goals were
- 11:42were mistakes by Buffalo. I thought they'd bounce back.
- 11:45They really haven't. They got humiliated on their
- 11:47home ice 6:00 to 3:00 and you're probably going to get a lot of
- 11:51people thinking Montreal closes it out on their home ice.
- 11:54Little fun fact about hockey in the playoffs, home ice is not
- 11:58typically that great. It's not as like I think in the
- 12:01NBA. I think you have great home
- 12:03homecourt advantages in the NBA. Hockey is a little different
- 12:07with the way it's kind of set up basketball.
- 12:09I feel like you feel like the fans are more involved in the
- 12:11game and hockey, it's a little different.
- 12:13Yes, it gets loud. The goals that you know, I've
- 12:15seen the Vegas science games when they blow that horn, 45
- 12:19seconds a goal is great. I just don't think that the home
- 12:22price is is is going to I'm going to lay -160 on Montreal.
- 12:26I think the value is going to be on Buffalo.
- 12:28I'm going to take plus 140 on Buffalo.
- 12:30I think that they do win that game.
- 12:32I do think they come home and win the series.
- 12:34I just sprinkled right now for them to come back and win this
- 12:37series because I just think the values on them and the Golden
- 12:39Knights are up to nothing, by the way.
- 12:42All right, Wes final. Pick So I'm taking Montreal
- 12:47also, so I apologize you're, you're not getting variety.
- 12:49But I, I, I just want to add there is a significant advantage
- 12:54in hockey in the playoffs when you have home Mounties, you get
- 12:58the last, you get the last player substitution before the
- 13:02puck drops. And that matters when you're
- 13:05talking about Montreal coaching staff versus Buffalo coaching
- 13:09staff. So I, I think Montreal's got a
- 13:11better coaching staff. There's a closeout game in
- 13:13Canada. This is a franchise that has
- 13:15waited a long time to to get to this position.
- 13:19Every year Canada is choking. So Johnny, I agree with you.
- 13:23I Chaz and I had a conversation about this a while back and why
- 13:26the the home ice is is so important in the NHL.
- 13:30It's just, you know, players are moving in and out, but but that
- 13:33home team gets the last thing. So if you're you're away and
- 13:38you're trying to get some guy in you, you don't if the home team
- 13:41doesn't move them so it it can be something of a chess match.
- 13:44That's awesome in a Mississippi State shirt.
- 13:53Nightmares about block Ms. You know, the only thing I have to
- 14:02say I have it. I can't find it in my notes.
- 14:06Rd. teams have actually probably I think they've won a couple
- 14:10more games this this year at home on the road.
- 14:13And I get the the what you you expect.
- 14:16Yeah, the the last substitution. You have your home, you got the
- 14:20buzzer and the crowd. I get that.
- 14:21But in the NHL playoffs over the last couple of seasons, home ice
- 14:25has especially considering at home.
- 14:28What are you laying -180 -? 200 the values not there for the
- 14:35win rate at home in the playoffs.
- 14:37That's all I would say in hockey, yes.
- 14:39Everything else that's up like where they have it's an
- 14:41advantage, but overall they're they're not winning to justify
- 14:46lane. The amount of juice you have to
- 14:48lay at home in NHL hockey. Interesting.
- 14:51No, but the playoffs. The playoffs.
- 14:53Laying the 1 1/2 in the NHL is better than laying the 1 1/2
- 14:57during the regular season. In the regular season, I, I'm
- 15:00either betting, I'm either betting the the dog money line,
- 15:04the dog outright or I'm just not betting it at all because
- 15:06there's no you, you don't want to lay it because they don't
- 15:09always pull the goalie. But in the playoffs they are
- 15:11pulling that goalie. It's just a matter of if, if the
- 15:14puck ends up in the back of the net, it, it doesn't really make
- 15:17a difference if they win by 5 or they win by one, that goalie is
- 15:19getting pulled. So OK.
- 15:21But, but, but here, but here we can get off, get off it.
- 15:25But look, I'm looking over the last 10-10 days, a favorite, a
- 15:30favorite which you have to lay either 200 or the 1 1/2 goal.
- 15:35The favorite has only won by more than one goal one time.
- 15:40And I'm all the way back on May 7th right now.
- 15:42So there's no justification to lay it because even on the I'm
- 15:48looking at the favorites, you know, they're not winning.
- 15:51I think on the seven will be game #2 Carolina won by by by by
- 15:55by margin there. The Golden Knights are coming in
- 15:58at -110 that they won by margin. They're cool.
- 16:00The Sabres were the favorite in that game where they lost
- 16:03outright. Flyer Hurricanes one by one.
- 16:06Wild underdogs 1 outright. Ducks underdogs 1 outright
- 16:11Canadians. For the record though.
- 16:14For the record though, we, you and I both are on the same pick.
- 16:17We both agree. That what that Buffalo you took
- 16:20Montreal. I think I'm on Buffalo.
- 16:22Oh, all right. Well then, Well, yeah.
- 16:24Are you in a closet? No, that's where they, that's
- 16:28where they kept me. I mean, this is the way they
- 16:30positioned me over here. So I'm, I'm stuck in the middle.
- 16:35I'm stuck in the middle of this. But in the closet, man.
- 16:38I'm not in a. Closet By the way, it's good to
- 16:39see you 2 disagreeing again. You guys were too agreeable
- 16:41during the college football season.
- 16:43By the way, I've got Buffalo winning Game 6, just so you
- 16:46know. Anyways, I, I, I think he does
- 16:49go to a 7th and we'll see. What this?
- 16:52This ain't gonna work buddy. For me I need a 2X small.
- 16:57Anyways, thanks boys. We appreciate you.
- 17:00See you next. Week away.
- 17:01From Canada, Canadian football 2 weeks, you guys know CFL 70% of
- 17:06time. There it is.
- 17:08I might be betting on that too. So if.
- 17:11I don't, I don't bet on that, but I'll definitely tail picks
- 17:14here because I don't know shit about Canadian football so I'll
- 17:18probably tell with his picks. Diego Pavia that I believe,
- 17:24well, I believe it's Winnipeg that owns the rights to, to
- 17:27Diego Pavia if he ends up in the, in the Canadian Football
- 17:30League. And it's weird the way that they
- 17:33draft, like I, I've watched a lot of the Canadian draft and,
- 17:36you know, maybe we have an episode on that, Yes.
- 17:39Well, he just so you know, I think he still makes the
- 17:41Baltimore team. So that's just my opinion.
- 17:43I still I think he makes the Ravens team.
- 17:46I think he makes the roster. Anyways, thanks boys.
- 17:48I appreciate you. Yep.
- 17:50Take care. Let's parlay Fantastic Wes and
- 17:54Mr. Reno, Johnny Sensational. All right, Speedy 6 Pack of the
- 17:58week. Let's have a sensor.
- 18:02Who wants to play Drink the Beer?
- 18:03It's time for the Speedy 6 pack of the way.
- 18:08Do you want to jerk me off? Now I'll pass.
- 18:12I'm not going to want to jerk anything off.
- 18:13So I think for the first time since our NBA.
- 18:16Off I am a legend. I've actually done a full NBA 1,
- 18:19so this is just recaps from Games 5 and the OKC sweep.
- 18:22We'll start with that. Cavaliers and Pistons series,
- 18:24Cavs on their end, winning one 17113 I mentioned before.
- 18:29Max Streuse 20 points on six of eight shooting from three in
- 18:33that game in Detroit. I love Lisa Ann.
- 18:35Has only lost one time before that in the playoffs.
- 18:38Let me tell you something about Detroit.
- 18:40They don't have secondary offense and because they don't
- 18:42have secondary offense, they're not going to beat the Cavaliers
- 18:46it even if it goes to a seventh game.
- 18:48And as you heard W say, it's Reno, Johnny.
- 18:52They both think the Cavaliers are going to win the series.
- 18:55I do too. I think the Cavaliers are a
- 18:57better overall team. I think Detroit and I think the
- 19:01Knicks are better off playing the Cavaliers in Detroit because
- 19:04they're mean and the Knicks, for some reason, when teams push
- 19:07them around, they don't play very well.
- 19:09So I think they're better off playing a slacking team like the
- 19:14Cavaliers that sometimes don't show up in quarters.
- 19:17Offensively, I've seen teams score 3940 points in a in 1/4
- 19:22against the Cavaliers because they don't show up playing
- 19:24defense, and I think the Knicks are going to do that.
- 19:27Yeah, I think, I think you guys are right.
- 19:30But I do think it goes to seven games.
- 19:32I think that Detroit comes out like I mentioned earlier, they
- 19:35come out and do everything and they power to win game six.
- 19:38And then on the 7th game Cleveland coaches is out because
- 19:42they just have more, they have the better talent.
- 19:43And I just don't think that Detroit can continue to just dig
- 19:47themselves out of these holes that they have all the way
- 19:49through from Orlando up until this point now.
- 19:52And so yeah, I got I got Cleveland winning overall and
- 19:55given the next hell in the next round.
- 19:58All right, so the big, big thing in Game 5 was Jalen Duran was
- 20:01benched if he just paid 25 minutes overall, no minutes in
- 20:05the fourth quarter, averaging just 10.6 points per game in the
- 20:07last series and just 9.5 in this series.
- 20:10He's going to. Turn for their second best
- 20:12player. I don't know if he's showing up
- 20:14throughout the playoffs, maybe he's hurt.
- 20:16Maybe we're going to hear things at the end of the season when
- 20:18they get eliminated that there's something going on because this
- 20:22is a guy that has played at a high level for the last two
- 20:24seasons and then all of a sudden at the second-half of the season
- 20:27completely falling off. That doesn't make sense.
- 20:30There's something going on. Yeah, he had a couple of games
- 20:32that was all right in versus Orlando, but yeah, he's been a
- 20:35shell of himself ever since then.
- 20:37And I just, I feel bad for him because this is his contract
- 20:40year and for him to be performing this poorly in the
- 20:43playoffs, definitely going to impact how much money he get.
- 20:46But yeah, he has to step up tremendously.
- 20:48Don't think he could do it in enough time to help them get out
- 20:51of this series. But yeah, I think he, he, he's
- 20:53in a world of trouble right now. I'm going to throw something out
- 20:56you guys for for you guys to understand.
- 20:58Don't be surprised if Giannis is a guy that could go to Detroit
- 21:04because I'm just. I could see it.
- 21:07I'm just saying Durant. What?
- 21:10What is he going to? Because they have young talent,
- 21:12they have young talent, they have young talent over there.
- 21:14You put Giannis over there with Cunningham, good luck.
- 21:17I'm telling you that could change everything.
- 21:19The whole perspective. But but Kate is more of a tool
- 21:23than. I'm telling you right now, it
- 21:24makes a lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense.
- 21:27It looks good on paper but I just don't see why he would go,
- 21:29especially when he keep talking about he want this big brand and
- 21:32all this and that. Detroit.
- 21:34Absolutely it. Used to be, there ain't nothing
- 21:37going on. I don't know, man.
- 21:38I I think Detroit would be a great place for Giannis.
- 21:41To really be miserable in Detroit.
- 21:42Stay on the East Coast. Go ahead, Speedy.
- 21:45All right, so kind of a quicker one here.
- 21:47We got the OKC sweeping the Lakers, the first team that have
- 21:50swept 2 rounds in the playoffs since both the Cavs and the
- 21:53Warriors in 2017, when they. Face, let me tell you guys
- 21:56something. The Lakers didn't even have all
- 21:58their players. Luka Doncic didn't play it all
- 22:00in that series. Maybe they, maybe they beat.
- 22:03They will. They probably beat them, but
- 22:05they don't sweep them. If Luka Doncic was on that team,
- 22:09that's great. For the OKC Thunder, it's been
- 22:11easy all the way to the Western Conference Finals.
- 22:13Good luck. They're matched up against the
- 22:15Spurs, that's all. Let me tell you this, the
- 22:18Oklahoma City Thunder would have swept them with or without Luka
- 22:21like they did. So at the end of the day the
- 22:23Lakers had no chance in beating them.
- 22:25OKC only team that can beat them or they can that can compete
- 22:30with them is the San Antonio. So that'll be a good matchup
- 22:34next round. But overall, OKC was going to
- 22:36sweep them and they they didn't have a shot to be OKC no matter
- 22:40who they had. Disagree.
- 22:42They needed they needed two superstars.
- 22:43Disagree. Right, so the second-half of
- 22:46this part is an interesting stack comparison.
- 22:48So SGA barely outplayed LeBron in that series. 24.5 to 23.3 in
- 22:52terms of points per game. 6.3 to 5.8 assists.
- 22:56Slightly in favor of SGA, but LeBron actually shot better 50
- 22:59to 47. Good news for you guys, SGA is
- 23:02not the league. NVP.
- 23:04I don't have to say it over and over and over again.
- 23:06I can tell you until you're blue in the face, SGA is a great
- 23:09player. He's a great offensive player.
- 23:11He wasn't even the best. He wasn't the leading scorer in
- 23:15the league all season long was Luke Adamcic.
- 23:18And this guy's going to win the MVP.
- 23:20He's a -, 2000. Good luck.
- 23:23I'm going to tell you guys this, the MVP, it means nothing.
- 23:26It means nothing if you're going to give the MVP to Joel Embiid a
- 23:29couple of years ago. It means nothing.
- 23:31Just so you know. And as far as I'm concerned,
- 23:33congratulations to a great career LeBron James.
- 23:37I don't know if he goes to the Cavaliers.
- 23:39I don't know if he goes to the Knicks.
- 23:40I don't know if he comes back next year.
- 23:43Maybe he just walks away and says hurrah.
- 23:45I don't know. But something tells me he wants
- 23:48to have that final year where he can do that, you know, jump from
- 23:53one place to another and he gets all these awards and all these
- 23:57gifts and a great LeBron James, the King.
- 24:00So I think he does come back because of that.
- 24:03Yeah, the projects will be in LA next year, guys, don't even
- 24:07worry. No, he won't.
- 24:08No, he won't. Yeah, he'll be in LA next.
- 24:11Year. How much you how much you really
- 24:13want to bet on that? Let's make it real.
- 24:14Bet no, no, no. We're talking about real bet.
- 24:16Listen, let's make SCA is the will be the MVP.
- 24:19He will go on and win the MVP. It's not just about scoring all
- 24:24the time. We make it about points for TV
- 24:27and media and that's that's what we brag about for the most part.
- 24:30But leading the team and being #1 consistently throughout the
- 24:34year and actually playing at a higher level is, is something to
- 24:38be recognized and respected within the league.
- 24:41So that's why he'll be winning MVP.
- 24:42As far as him competing against the Bar Jays, Bar Jays had
- 24:46picked up, he went from #3 to #1 So obviously he was getting more
- 24:50shots up and obviously that's more opportunities for him to
- 24:52score versus SA where that was blitzing him.
- 24:55That was sitting double teams right there.
- 24:57So he had to be more of a facilitator and orchestrate the
- 25:00offense versus board to just being a pure scorer and his team
- 25:03stepped up and helped keep the job done.
- 25:05Wrong, wrong, wrong. That's all I'm.
- 25:09Going to say about that, right? It's wrong, wrong, wrong.
- 25:11And by the way, Most Valuable Player means Most Valuable
- 25:15Player to your team and SGA is not the most valuable.
- 25:18Player and they win without always, yes.
- 25:21But is he the most valuable? Absolutely.
- 25:22No, Jokic. Nicola Jokic is the Most
- 25:25Valuable Player done on to the next.
- 25:28All right, we'll. Finish it off with the Spurs and
- 25:30the Timberwolves Game 5 as Reno, Johnny and Wes were mentioning
- 25:34the Wemby with a redemption story.
- 25:35But more of this downside for the Timberwolves.
- 25:38Rudy Gobert a rough one for him, just four points in Game 5 and a
- 25:41-, 15 as a defensive rating. Also like Duran Jalen Duran just
- 25:47playing 22 minutes in that game. Here's the problem.
- 25:51Anthony Edwards is not 100% healthy.
- 25:53Everybody knows that. If Anthony Edwards isn't 100%
- 25:57healthy, they don't have a chance in this series.
- 25:59The fact that they've been in this series is really because
- 26:02webbing Yama has been an idiot. He he needs to keep his hands to
- 26:06himself. This series probably is over
- 26:09already. If webbing Yama didn't get
- 26:11didn't get thrown out of that game, they they should have won
- 26:13the series four games to 2. And that's the only reason why
- 26:16Minnesota's still in this. If if was the 5th, we'd all be
- 26:19drunk. Listen, the Spurs end up winning
- 26:22this game. But at the end of the day, I
- 26:25think that the Minnesota Timberwolves come out and they
- 26:28do everything. They play out of their mind for
- 26:30game six and then it forces a game seven.
- 26:32I don't think the NBA is ready to be done with the Western
- 26:37Conference semis. And so I think that they were
- 26:39going to go out and be physical when we would be coming off that
- 26:42suspension. Obviously it was going to be a
- 26:44lot of momentum. He's going to be excited about
- 26:47getting back on the floor and bringing some of these tools out
- 26:50of the toolbox and using it against Rudy Gobert, which like
- 26:54you said, speedy had an awful game.
- 26:56So I think that Minnesota win game since and they go to Game 7
- 27:00and women they win it back home in high.
- 27:03Fashion. This is not going to a Game 7.
- 27:06OK all. Right, we'll finish it off with
- 27:07Wembe. The stat line is 27.17 rebounds,
- 27:105 assists, 3 blocks. And probably if you look at his
- 27:13overall staff besides, obviously the game he got ejected probably
- 27:16has been the best playoff performer of anybody left.
- 27:19I listen. We all know what Webbiyama is.
- 27:22He's like 3 inches bigger than everybody on a basketball court.
- 27:25He doesn't even have to jump to jam the ball.
- 27:28He can shoot, he can dribble. He's a point forward, a point
- 27:33center, whatever you want to call him.
- 27:34He can do everything. He's a great player.
- 27:37Nobody's going to take away his talents.
- 27:39The only problem that worries me is he's injury prone.
- 27:42He's had blood clots. That's the only reason why I've
- 27:45attacked Webbing Yama. I thought he was going to be a
- 27:47good player. I don't know if he's ever going
- 27:49to have that long standing career.
- 27:51Yao Ming was supposed to be a long standing player.
- 27:54He never really got a chance to do that because of injuries and
- 27:57foot problems. Big guys like this always have
- 28:00problems with their knees, their feet and everything like that.
- 28:04That's the only reason why I don't think Webbing Yama is
- 28:06going to go down as one of the greatest big man of all time.
- 28:10Well, yeah, he's a alien for a reason.
- 28:11He would definitely go down as one of the big greatest big man.
- 28:14I mean, the guy's averaging like three or five blocks.
- 28:17He's also a double, double machine.
- 28:18So he he had all the momentum with him last last game being
- 28:23that he got kicked out and he felt like he had to put the team
- 28:27on his back. And he I mean, he was doing pump
- 28:28face death throughs. He was playing out of his mind.
- 28:31He was playing like, so I just don't see Minnesota giving up
- 28:34like that in Game 6. So I think that they're going to
- 28:36have a different defensive scheme for him and he'll
- 28:39probably get his average, you know, anywhere between 18 to 22
- 28:43points and 12 rebounds and probably 5, three to five blocks
- 28:48and whatnot. But I definitely don't think
- 28:50that the series is over. But he had a hell of a game
- 28:53coming off the kick out being off that injection.
- 28:58It's over. Don't worry.
- 28:59Ladies and gentlemen, I you can, you can bet on it.
- 29:02This series is you didn't. Do so well the last.
- 29:05Time you shut down I'm I'm telling you right now it's over
- 29:08there is no way they're coming back and went going to a game
- 29:10seven I I'm. Webbing.
- 29:12Yama is cool webbing Yama and that team the way D Aaron Fox is
- 29:16playing right now. Good friggin luck.
- 29:19All right, we'll call this Dial It Up.
- 29:22This regularly scheduled hot mix to bring an important news.
- 29:25We got a big. Broadcast to do here.
- 29:27We we're about to dial it up. All right, welcome back Dial.
- 29:38In. Everyone's favorite Lightning
- 29:41Round Sports News segment. Errol, you know what the deal
- 29:48is. Squeeze the tease.
- 29:51But you haven't heard yet. We're going to start with a big
- 29:54one and then you're going to dial up a take and we'll react
- 29:58to it. Here we go, dial it up.
- 30:01First story, Errol in hockey, the Oilers fired Chris Noblock.
- 30:09Yes, that Chris Noblock that took them to back-to-back
- 30:13Stanley Cup finals almost all the way twice.
- 30:18Obviously not as good of a season this year.
- 30:20Eliminated in the first round. McDavid playing on a broken
- 30:24ankle. Blame the coach, pretty much the
- 30:28top coach available instantly on the market.
- 30:31Errol, I'm sure you have something to say about this when
- 30:34you. Dial it up.
- 30:36Well, here's the thing, I I have no idea what this organization
- 30:40is doing because if you look at the Edmonton Oilers, their
- 30:43record this year was 41 and 3093 points.
- 30:47They were the second best team in the Pacific Division.
- 30:50Think about this, this guy took you, took you to back-to-back
- 30:55championship games. You lost and you give up on him
- 30:59after two years. It makes no sense.
- 31:03I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 31:04They're going to be 5-6 teams lining up for this guy.
- 31:07He's a kid. He's still a young man getting
- 31:10to know and getting to understand the game.
- 31:13The NHL at the pace that it is. This guy is one of the best,
- 31:16three best coaches in the NHL. It makes no sense.
- 31:20Edmonton is on their way out and you might be right.
- 31:24A lot of Ranger fans might be very excited about this because
- 31:26Connor McDavid might not want to be here much longer.
- 31:29Yeah, we talked about last week why Joel Krenville has a job
- 31:32with Anaheim. Stan Bowman's in that same
- 31:34scandal, yet he has a job because the Oilers can't hire a
- 31:36good GM whatsoever. Ken Holland was not great before
- 31:39that, before there was Chia Rally, it was one of the worst.
- 31:41And you're going to now look at a job that, yeah, I guess Connor
- 31:45McDavid is there, but you're looking at a case where it's
- 31:47going to be a desirable for somebody working for Bowman at
- 31:49this point. So the Oilers are just digging
- 31:51their own grave when it looked like they finally got out of it
- 31:54the last five years, they went to the two Cups and now they're
- 31:56firing. A head coach did a phenomenal
- 31:58job with their young players. And you're right, any young
- 32:00team, as we look at that fish, the one I mentioned to you was
- 32:03Detroit. They're a team that Eiserman, I,
- 32:05they had a collapse that was worse than the Islanders.
- 32:07And he gets to keep keep his job.
- 32:08That's a young team. The Kings I would look at to a
- 32:10very young team. Seattle, there's a lot of teams
- 32:12are going to be lining up for him.
- 32:13The fact that he got fired is absolutely ridiculous.
- 32:17You know, I, I think it was because they leaked that Cassidy
- 32:21was someone they wanted to get the job.
- 32:24He's out there from Vegas. Vegas said no.
- 32:26But since Vegas said no, it became public knowledge that
- 32:29they were, that they were looking to move on from him.
- 32:32So I guess they had to do that. But now also they don't get
- 32:35Cassidy. Yeah, if he has the rights, like
- 32:37you can't do that since you make it look really bad.
- 32:40Good job Stan Bowman, who shouldn't have a job.
- 32:43Yeah, I mean, I put it in the graphic.
- 32:45I just don't think it was the coach that should have been
- 32:48fired in the situation. I think it was the GM who can't
- 32:51fire himself. Let's move on to the next story
- 32:55here. And this one goes to baseball.
- 32:59And this is the slumping Cal Raleigh.
- 33:02Get this, Errol. He showered in his uniform
- 33:06because he was over 36. He ends up with a couple of
- 33:10hits, a couple of RBI's in the game.
- 33:13They shower him with Gatorade. Do you realize how bad he has
- 33:19been this season? How bad is he?
- 33:24Well, I'll tell you, he's so bad he's considered the ninth worst
- 33:28hitter in all of baseball, hitting like 160.
- 33:32And on top of it, after this great two hit game that he
- 33:36celebrated like he hit sixty home runs, which he did last
- 33:39season. He went on the IL with a
- 33:43strained oblique. Errol.
- 33:47Dial it up for the big dumper. Here's the Here's the facts.
- 33:50He's one of the best switch hitting power hitters in
- 33:52baseball, but if you remember what happened in the WBC, he
- 33:56lost his job. He wasn't even the final catcher
- 33:59for Team USA because he couldn't hit the ball.
- 34:01He's not what he was last year. He was having an unbelievable
- 34:04season. Everybody was compare him to
- 34:05Mickey Mantle. He's not Mickey Mantle and that
- 34:08was the reason why the voters decided to go with Aaron Judge
- 34:11because Aaron Judge did it consistently and this guy hasn't
- 34:15been as consistent. He is a special player.
- 34:18He's a great defensive player at the catching position.
- 34:20He's a great leader. He's got power, but he's a hot
- 34:23and and cold player and when you're a hot and cold player,
- 34:26you can't look at him as an MVP type of player.
- 34:29Now as far as what he's doing right now, I think he's going to
- 34:32get out of this slump. He's too good of a hitter to get
- 34:34to hit the way he's hitting right now.
- 34:36But it it's alarming when you look at a player that hit how
- 34:39many home runs last year over over 5859 as a switch hitter and
- 34:45how many hits, how many home runs does he have right now?
- 34:48I rest my kiss. Remember these few like big home
- 34:54run seasons from catchers that never had another big home run
- 34:57season. Then The Jets, The Jets, the
- 34:59Mets have somebody like that was a Jeff Hunley or something.
- 35:02Todd Hunley. Todd Hunley had a 40 something
- 35:06home run. Eventually became an Alfie I.
- 35:07Made that I made that a question last year.
- 35:09A tic tac that was a trick because so I guess my fiance.
- 35:11Quick, quick story is, is that Speedy reached out to Todd
- 35:14Hudley a long time ago and he's a horse guy and we wanted to get
- 35:18him and talk, talk about horses. That was Paula Duka.
- 35:21No, no, it wasn't Paula Duka. Paula Duka was the horse guy,
- 35:24but I did reach out to Hunley so.
- 35:25It was something with Hunley that happened and he didn't want
- 35:29to come on and I didn't understand that, so screw Todd
- 35:32Hunley anyway. Well, I mean, my point is, you
- 35:36know, there's been a lot of guys like this in baseball that have
- 35:39the one huge season, maybe not as huge as what Raleigh did last
- 35:43year, and then just kind of had a regression to being a normal
- 35:47player. And because you play catcher,
- 35:49think about it. Remember what the Joe Mauer,
- 35:51that guy was like a 35360 hitter, you know, 1520 home runs
- 35:57and he couldn't even move after about six years that they had to
- 36:01put him behind first base and then he couldn't.
- 36:03He had no pop. Yeah, because Morneau got hurt
- 36:05all the time too, so they kind of had to do that for him as
- 36:07well. But I'm just saying at the
- 36:09catcher position, you know, Buster Posey famously took a
- 36:11beating and shortened his career.
- 36:14These there's a it's a really tough position to stay good for
- 36:17a long time. That's why things like Posada
- 36:20don't get enough credit in my opinion, historically, Yogi
- 36:23Berra should get more credit historically than he does.
- 36:26The catcher is the toughest position to play up for a long
- 36:29time, at least in baseball. So let's get to the.
- 36:33So I don't really don't think Kyle Raleigh might be any good
- 36:36unless he was playing hurt. Errol, you know, sometimes guys
- 36:38like that play hurt. He's a catcher, he's fine.
- 36:42Take care of the pitching staff. He's.
- 36:44Too good of a player? He'll figure it out.
- 36:46He had a lot of swing and miss to his game before last season.
- 36:50We'll see how he is after the injury.
- 36:51I tend to think you're right. Let's take moving on from the
- 36:55big dumper to a big contract for Miami Dolphin running back
- 37:00Devon. A chain gets paid the third
- 37:03highest contract for a running back in the entire NFL.
- 37:09Four year, $64 million contract extension.
- 37:13Max value of 68. Total guaranteed money for a
- 37:17running back 32,000,000. I'm old enough to remember when
- 37:22Joe Shane was angry to have to give Saquon half that average
- 37:28cap hit 16,000,000, but this year it's only 2.3.
- 37:35It's a lot of money for a running back that catches a ton
- 37:38of passes and it's probably faster than everybody, but it's
- 37:40also been hurt I think every year of his career.
- 37:44Dial it up. Here's the facts.
- 37:46Mike McDaniel is not there anymore.
- 37:48So is he going to be as explosive as he was when Mike
- 37:51McDaniel was there? That's one.
- 37:53Number two, you're paying a guy that I do not believe is a top
- 37:58five running back in the league. He's a great player.
- 38:00He can catch the ball, he can run the ball.
- 38:02You can't take away his gifts. He's he's fast, he's everything.
- 38:07The problem with him is he's undersized and eventually he's
- 38:11going to get hurt. And for some reason, the Miami
- 38:13Dolphins like to overpay players.
- 38:15Tua. I mean, they're still paying
- 38:18that guy. They're playing.
- 38:19They're still paying defensive players that they traded away.
- 38:22This is an organization that overpays an owner that overpays
- 38:25players that shouldn't be overpaid.
- 38:27My opinion? Good job where to go?
- 38:29We love overpaying players. That's what we do.
- 38:32You know what I mean? But at the end of the day, he's
- 38:34he's all they got. So at the end of the day, it's
- 38:37not no strange to have overpay or pay or run it back this type
- 38:42of numbers when pretty much what else can you say is coming out
- 38:45of Miami, absolutely nothing. So congratulations to Brad.
- 38:49He did his thing. He got a big contract.
- 38:52Look forward to seeing what he do this year.
- 38:54I'm not expecting much to come out of Miami outside of
- 38:57highlights from him, but other than that, man, it was a big
- 39:00payday. So we go celebrate that, right?
- 39:02We're not going to talk down about a player getting paid.
- 39:09If you're a fantasy player who plays in PPR leagues you know he
- 39:13is like this boom or bust legends in fantasy where he can
- 39:17just go off for crazy crazy games because of all the
- 39:20receptions. Very curious to see what he does
- 39:23without McDaniel scheming him open on a lot of those short
- 39:27passes. They're still using like same
- 39:29way. It'll have to be, it'll have to
- 39:31be someone who's like, would just love a player like that.
- 39:35No, you don't have nothing else. Well, I mean, like his story at
- 39:41least, like coaching wise. Like I go back and I think about
- 39:44a lot of the scheme historically.
- 39:45Like Steve Spurry was the first guy to send running backs out of
- 39:48the backfield on like angle routes and things like that.
- 39:50And then it became more option routes as we went forwards into
- 39:53the 2000s. And now you got guys full on
- 39:56just being receivers out there and they can also be running
- 40:00backs and they're like, it's like almost like the wing back
- 40:03in the day. I think a chain can do
- 40:06everything you want him on the field.
- 40:08But you want someone who knows how to abuse him best.
- 40:11And it's like he can be misused, I think.
- 40:15And you don't want to run him 20 times into the back of the
- 40:18offensive line. And I think someone might do
- 40:20that. You have a Green Bay Packers
- 40:22executive and a Green Bay Packers coach that's never done
- 40:25it before. Good luck.
- 40:26Move on. Well, worried about it.
- 40:28Let's go back to baseball. This one's more media story
- 40:32Errol and it's about the Braves and their regional Sports
- 40:37Network that they created because the entire deal with
- 40:43what was it the FanDuel Sports Network collapsed before the
- 40:48season started, right? So the deal is last year they
- 40:52made 4.3 million in quarter one of 2025.
- 40:57This year in Braves Vision and their deal with MLBTV, they only
- 41:03made 2.5 million, which, you know, quarter one means like I
- 41:07guess before the season started, but they're not getting anyone
- 41:11to look at it. And there's a lot of worry
- 41:13because there was a lot of promises made that this was
- 41:16going to bring the same type of revenues in.
- 41:19And if this doesn't work, is the regional sports model completely
- 41:23over? Dial it off.
- 41:25I want to give a shout out to me Rest in peace Ted Ted Turner,
- 41:28who passed away a couple of weeks ago.
- 41:30I never got a chance to say that he owned the Braves for a very,
- 41:33very long time. He was a great owner and a great
- 41:36executive. So I want to give a shout out to
- 41:38the Turner family. As far as the Braves are
- 41:40concerned, this is a one of the best teams right now in
- 41:42baseball, one of the best run organizations in professional
- 41:45baseball and professional sports.
- 41:47And you have Rob Manfred, as Jabba would call him or Rob Man
- 41:51ass or whatever the hell you want to call him.
- 41:53He's a complete moron. He doesn't do the right thing.
- 41:57This is not and a problem and and I don't get it either
- 41:59because George Steinbrenner who opened up opportunity for
- 42:03organizations and television companies and all that other
- 42:06stuff and making the yes network and it it exploded for all
- 42:09professional sports. Why is it that this guy, ever
- 42:13since he's taken over for Bud, see Lake has screwed up the
- 42:16league. Everybody says, well, there's
- 42:18money coming in. It's being more recognized
- 42:20really, because if anything, if you look at the back end of it,
- 42:24you're looking at teams that are doing so very well that have
- 42:27been forgotten and they're not doing as well as they should be.
- 42:31So it doesn't make any sense. They've got stars like a Cunha
- 42:34and they got all these different young players coming up and and
- 42:37playing at a high level and they're not making money.
- 42:40Please. And here's another thing that
- 42:42makes no sense to me. When you have an organization,
- 42:46by the way, the Atlanta Braves, besides the Atlanta, the Atlanta
- 42:49Hawks and the Atlanta, the Atlanta Falcons, the number one
- 42:53sport in Atlanta is baseball. It is baseball.
- 42:59I don't care what anybody says, baseball, I hear that the
- 43:02Atlanta Braves sell out every single game.
- 43:04How is their TV deal not bringing them the month any
- 43:07money? It makes no sense whatsoever.
- 43:09Baseball needs to figure this out and figure it out fast, or
- 43:12this strike is going to be a lot longer than people think.
- 43:15Yeah, Originally I figured it was the Bali sports deal
- 43:18originally when they're just spread out on other networks and
- 43:21then the FanDuel do try to duplicate that.
- 43:23Obviously bringing in a betting network with that, you would
- 43:25think it would work to some degree.
- 43:27And you're right, for a team that getting good attendance,
- 43:30they're very well. Wrong.
- 43:31They're they're, I think last year they were fifth in the
- 43:33league and selling out. Yeah, I mean, they're every
- 43:36year, they're in the top 10 every year, and they have the
- 43:39best run organization in professional baseball.
- 43:42Yeah. So you would think that FanDuel
- 43:44that has that kind of backing would be able to help them more.
- 43:46Obviously, they're spread out in other areas as well.
- 43:48But still, I'm surprised with how much revenue that they're on
- 43:52an uptick that it wouldn't be able to help them this much with
- 43:54how well they play. Because last year, like you
- 43:56said, fish and the graphic, they triple the salary for a team
- 43:59that was banged up all year. Yeah, and they're the best team
- 44:03in baseball right now and they're losing money.
- 44:06That's that should be said as well.
- 44:09Let's move on to the last story of the evening.
- 44:12I'm sure we're excited to get there.
- 44:14This one's hilarious. Your buddy.
- 44:19No, not real buddy, but Mr. Nick Wright, another talking head on
- 44:23TV. He had a very interesting
- 44:27comment that went viral about Joel Embiid and having his son
- 44:31at the post game press conference mentioned you.
- 44:34You touched on it a little bit at last night earlier in the
- 44:37night. But he had to say something
- 44:39saying that there should be no kids at these press conferences
- 44:44anymore, especially if a team loses, because they're using the
- 44:49kids as a shield to keep them away from asking tough questions
- 44:56in front of the kid. And I would just be have to have
- 45:01to mention that a lot of former players like Paul Pierce did not
- 45:05like this take. But Mr. Nick Wright, he said
- 45:09that it was ridiculous. NBA players are bringing their
- 45:12children to the podium for decades, and a reporter
- 45:15shouldn't be too intimidated by a child's presence to ask
- 45:19professional questions. What do you say?
- 45:23Dial it up. Let me ask Nick Wright a
- 45:25question and, and this is a really good question, Why
- 45:29haven't you said it about Patrick Mahomes when he's done
- 45:32it so many times? Patrick Mahomes was doing it
- 45:35with his kids. You're a Kansas City fan, you're
- 45:37from the Kansas City area, but you have no problems not saying
- 45:41it to Patrick Mahomes. Why?
- 45:42Cuz he won a couple of titles. But even when they were winning,
- 45:45he was bringing him up, his kids to the, you know, to meet the
- 45:49media. That's crap.
- 45:50Steph Curry's done it for years. Carmelo Anthony did it with his
- 45:54son. Everybody does it.
- 45:56But now you're going to attack Joel and beat because you don't
- 45:58like Joel and beat. Everybody knows that Nick Wright
- 46:00don't like Joel and beat. Hey, Nick, let me ask you a
- 46:03question. Why is it that every time people
- 46:06look at your social media, the first thing they see is your
- 46:09kids? Why do we have to look at your
- 46:12kids? You're an analyst.
- 46:14Nobody cares who how many kids you have.
- 46:16I don't care how many kids you have.
- 46:17Why are your kids all over your pictures?
- 46:21How about that? Who cares if Joel Embiid has his
- 46:24son at the press conference he's trying to block away?
- 46:28That is the most ridiculous statement.
- 46:30It just shows you how stupid Nick Wright is.
- 46:32Nick, why don't you worry about arguing your points about LeBron
- 46:36James being better than Michael Jordan?
- 46:37And your arguments are crap. Everything that you're posting
- 46:41up and everything that you said on your show is absolute
- 46:43ludicrous. So everything that comes under
- 46:46this guy's mouth is overpaid. Fox Sports is making a huge
- 46:49mistake giving this guy the money and his snobs will poke
- 46:52you right in the eye. That's all I'm going to say.
- 46:54I don't really understand the issue with him bringing the kid.
- 46:57Like I said, everybody kind of brings the kid in the NBA, some
- 47:00doing in the NFL, other professional sports at all.
- 47:03I don't think that I also don't believe in once somebody get
- 47:07eliminated from a series that it's the time to attack them and
- 47:11it's the time to, you know, RIP them apart because they they got
- 47:15swept in the in the NBA playoff series.
- 47:18So I think it's kind of childish that they keep to say that this
- 47:22kid was used as a shield. The mic is still there.
- 47:26Joel B came and he's present. So whatever you want to ask him,
- 47:30just ask him. I don't think he brought the kid
- 47:32to be like, oh, yeah, now that I got my kid, they're not going to
- 47:35ask me tough questions. Nobody's thinking that.
- 47:37Listen, he accepted his loss. He went to the podium.
- 47:40He got the mic, asked whatever question you got to ask.
- 47:42The problem is, why are you trying to attack him just
- 47:46because he got swept? Like, it should just be
- 47:48basketball questions. Like what did you see, what went
- 47:51on? What is something that you guys
- 47:52can take away from this game and use it as momentum going into
- 47:56next season? Those are the type of question
- 47:57that should be asked. It shouldn't be, oh, I'm trying
- 47:59to get AI got you moment or whatever.
- 48:01But if you look back over the last week or two, Nick Wright
- 48:05has just been doing anything possible to just go viral or to
- 48:09be in everybody's algorithm because he's just been making
- 48:12the most outlandish takes over the last week or a week or two.
- 48:16So yeah, I just think it's some BS in regards to making it seem
- 48:19like he brought the kid to try to shy away from the questions.
- 48:22He's right there. He was at the podium.
- 48:25He's also doing this thing where he's being like a professional
- 48:30poker player on the side, Nick Wright, and he was trying to
- 48:33being real bragging about how much money he's betting because
- 48:36he's doing so well. And I just thought it was a
- 48:40ridiculous take for someone to have who's at who?
- 48:43Also is like bragging about like wasting money professional
- 48:47gambling when you're a professional sports guy.
- 48:49All right, so my take here with Nick Wright before we go is I
- 48:53met Nick Wright a couple of years ago at a summit and he
- 48:56told me he started going back and forth with me in the
- 48:59backroom talking about Jordan and LeBron.
- 49:02And I said, hey, here's my card. Come on a show.
- 49:05I I'd like to go out. Yeah, absolutely.
- 49:07I'll reach out to you. I'll send you a text.
- 49:09Never sent me a text. Never wanted to come on the
- 49:11show. So the the problem with Nick
- 49:14Wright is it's it's pretty straightforward.
- 49:16Nick Wright, he he plays like he's a man on his show, like
- 49:20he's the man and everybody's got to kiss his ass.
- 49:22When he was speaking at this summit, everybody had, oh, look,
- 49:25it's Nick Wright. Yeah, Nick Wright who doesn't
- 49:27cut his hair and he has a big snozz and he thinks he's like
- 49:31God's gift to the world. The problem with Nick Wright is
- 49:34pretty simple. His takes are all about an
- 49:37algorithm. He doesn't care on his on on who
- 49:41he hurts or how he throws A curveball as long as it gets
- 49:45click bait. And that's the problem with Nick
- 49:48Wright. Anybody that likes Nick Wright,
- 49:49anybody that knows anything about Nick Wright knows that Fox
- 49:53has made a big mistake extending his contract because the guy
- 49:56doesn't know anything that he's talking about.
- 49:58He kisses LeBron James's ass because Lebron's actually goes
- 50:01on his show. He kisses all the people's asses
- 50:04that come on his show. Anybody else that's told him no,
- 50:08not interested. That's the guys like Joel
- 50:10Embiid. Joel Embiid has told Nick Wright
- 50:13for years. I will not come on your show.
- 50:15And what does Nick Wright do? He attached to Ellen bead it it
- 50:18it's pathetic. It it just shows you how and who
- 50:21Nick Wright really is as a person.
- 50:23That's all I'm going to say about that.
- 50:25That's the end of the show. I just want to let everybody
- 50:27know that I fought my way through the show.
- 50:30I've been congested. I've been dealing with it and
- 50:33I'm I'm just happy that I got through the show.
- 50:35So thank you to all the guys and the the fans out there that have
- 50:40sent me get well and shout out to Jamie Lee and all the people
- 50:44that have stood behind me for all the craziness over the last
- 50:4848 hours. So thank you, thank you, thank
- 50:50you and the guys, everybody on the show for being behind me on
- 50:54this. And fish was telling me like,
- 50:56we'll do whatever it takes to to make sure that the show, you
- 50:59know, can be better for you. But there you go.
- 51:02I'm running over queue right there.

- 51:55us. Yes.
- 51:56And if you don't know who Chrissy Freud is, she was the
- 51:59one that was let go by her organization because of some of
- 52:04the things that she said about Diana Rusini.
- 52:07You know, anybody that knows the story, but we're not going to
- 52:10get into that. She doesn't want to talk about
- 52:11that. But it's very we're very excited
- 52:14to have her on the show. She doesn't really.

- 52:53I want to, I want to see the Knicks play.
- 52:55The quicker the better because the longer the Knicks wait, the
- 52:57more I think it it could affect the Knicks.
- 53:00I want to see them on the basketball court as soon as
- 53:02possible. Anyways, that's it for our show.
- 53:05We will see you on Monday next week.
- 53:07Good night. It's the worldwide sports radio
- 53:11network.
